Should an elven wizard be more powerful on average than a human one? Explain your answer.

Honestly it's not. Troon beaner orc may be repulsive to the very firmware written by God himself, but it is at least evocative of some human emotion. This grey sludge is not even art. It's an image.

Can you not see the arrogance on the elf wizards face?

Other way around. The art was giving to Garfield to use by his aunt, and he designed the card around the art. Four other cards were designed around the art in Alpha. Can you guess what they were?

Stasis is a literal masterpiece. It would be mediocre on its own but its use for this purpose elevates it to a masterpiece, it is by far the most artistically interesting magic card ever printed

The only thing I need to do for people here to say the opposite it's claim the art came out in the current year, and suddenly they just hate it with burning passion.

traditional gamers are fat retards who know nothing about aesthetics beyond choosing the colour palette for their Warhammer army.
>>
>>97404992
I actually try really hard to utilize the color wheel properly while agonizing about color combinations and ideal tones. I am an average painter and I’ve found utilizing color theory can really elevate otherwise decent work.

"dude dnd artificers are so cool cuz u can make some crazy stuff like this and bend the rules to ur will n stuff"

most crafting thatn isnt raw gets banned by the DM or just anything intresting or the meme that artificers can craft a gun. (unless they tell the DM irl how to do it)

>dm can’t do anything about it

Oof, that’s some sad, slave minded video game logic right there. Sorry if you run games thinking that, and fuck you if you’re a player who thinks that. The dm can just straight up tell the group when he’s announcing his game and describing its parameters that the following character creation rules and limitations apply. He doesn’t even have to explain why. If you don’t like it you don’t have to play. Simple as.
>>
>>97387856
>unless they tell the dm irl how to do it
You piss on charcoal and mix it with guano.
>>
>>97403545
The game's balance intends you to have all your attunement slots filled, even if it's uncommon level trash your Artificer can put together during a long rest.
>>
>>97387856
Artificer were never supposed to make guns. Guns in a magic setting are lame as shit, get a bandolier of wands like a real man.

Artificer can do awesome crazy shit within the rules & any appeal to pushing the envelope outside the rules is stupid at best & counter productive at worse. Why butter your DM up to let you make some shitty revolver when you can make a spell trap weapon? Why jury rig some stupid overcomplicated string loaded contraption when you can just use a wand with a spell that ends the fight from the start?

A mechsuit like iron man? How fucking quaint, I'm sorry I breifly turned my self into a tree to permanently hyperboost all my mental stats beyond anything in the Monster Manuel. Then I turn myself into a bio construct that doesn't need to eat or breath or shit while still looking 100% human. My skin is tougher than epic dragon hide with a simple monk's belt (which I made custom to be an implanted jewel, or inscribed as a tattoo or such so it can't be stolen. I've poured so much magic into my physical form I can slug Kord out by level 12. I can rip your mechsuit like tissue paper. I'm flying around in an Indestructible, invisible castle, not some hokey airship.

Learn to be a real Artificer, not some wannabe magic greasemonkey
>>
>>97388168
Its both really. You can do some truly degenerate shit in games with proper crafting systems entirely RAW. But you're correct that people having problems with op crafted shit in D&D is entirely a DM issue.

Tabletop RPGs tend to split up crafting into a high number of crafting subskills for every individual area of expertise. There's no question that crafting is still extremely powerful despite forcing you to go through this hassle, but what are your thoughts on which particular crafting subskills tend to be the most useful in the context of a TTRPG campaign, be it a medieval or modern or sci-fi setting?

Pic related is from Legend of the Five Rings, where I'll be playing a crafter soon, and I intend to invest heavily into crafting. But feel free to talk about any game you've had experience with.

Doesn't sound any more boring than "let's listen to the party face and GM make voices at each other", except at least with Shadowrun or Cyberpunk hacking, a game is being played.
Yet sitting and listening to people making voices at each other is more acceptable to more people here than engaging with gameplay mechanics.

Curious, isn't it?

>NEET / work part-time for years
>run multiple games and constantly have ideas for new ones
>become full-time wagie
>rapidly lose energy and enthusiasm for running games
>turn 30, become NEET again
>think that I will recover my creative drive
>4 months in and I still feel like it's empty inside my mind
It's like I was born with a set amount of soulful creative energy and I used it all up. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm going back to school and the local game store will actually pay you to be a DM, so I was thinking of running an open-table west marches game there but I just don't have energy or creativity to do that. I'm already running a couple of campaigns but only maybe once a month.

Is this how it's gonna be for the rest of my life? How do I break out of this?

>You just constantly had new ideas? Didn't pluck them from anywhere or get inspiration from anything?
I did get inspiration but often I couldn't tell where it was from. I still go on hikes, walks, still look at new art and watch things. But there was this spark inside me and 5 years of 5 hours a night sleep and factory wagecucking feels like it demolished what creative talent I used to have. Not "talent" like it was anything special, but sufficient to be a good GM and come up with original campaigns that weren't just rehashing some video game or movie.

>>97404868
>What you are asking for and what you are saying you want to do with it are on opposite ends you can't have both without serious work ethic which you clearly lack.
What do you mean? In terms of the games, I used to run that amount of sessions all the time. I would run 2 different campaigns in the same day, back to back. We'd play one in the early afternoon, then switch to another when our friend got off work in the evening. One was superheroes, the other was D&D-esque. I did this for years.

Is your experience with TTRPGs more broad, or deep? Have you played a variety of systems, or mostly focused on a single one? I'm interested in what modern /tg/ looks like in this regard. What year did you first play a TTRPG? For the purposes of this thread, we're not counting solo RPGs or one/two page games.

In no particular order, list which TTRPGs you have played at least one campaign in, indicating editions if you think it matters. If you GM'd that system, put an asterisk next to it.

>>97402542
Definitely broad. I've played 3.5, 5e, Call of Cthulhu (5e, 7e, and the d20 version) Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, Delta Green, shadow of the demon lord, punkapocalyptic, zweihander, WHFRP 4e, Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy, Edge of the Empire, Feng Shui 2, SWADE (both vanilla, and Deadlands), Cyberpunk Red, Shadowrun Anarchy, Mothership, Spooktacular, Unknown Armies 2e, Traveller and a few Fate varieties.

Most of this has been one offs or campaigns that only got a session or two before they died, but there have been a couple of longer campaigns in there.

I wouldn't say that my experience was particularly broad or deep, but i was definitely captivated by it early on

>What year did you first play a TTRPG?
I don't remember specifically but the first close approximation in playing with a ttrpg was with HeroQuest in 1994-5? (i was 8-9), at my friend house, i got the real thing in 1996? when my father gifted me the Dragon's Den becmi boxed set (picrel), but to be fair i didn't understand much of it. It was only in 1998-9 that i finally got to play at a real table in my town's lgs with a MERP group.

Yeah, after dying twice in the west I doubt it's coming here again. Especially considering it's not super hot in JP anymore.

TL;DR
>New format/reboot (Standard) which aims to simplify the game
>All spirits now only have two levels (for now at least)
>Second main phase after battle phase and some new mulligan rules
>Increased importance of the soul core for new card types
>Standard will be the main focus for releases (a set in April and 6 new starter decks to start) but Eternal (following the old design philosophy and have all cards playable) will get two sets a year
>Card frame and look redesign (supposed to be coming this month)

Holy shit, finally somewhere to vent.
Giovanni here, the family ain't important right now. I've probably gotten tossed into the worst job anyone can ask for.
You know that old myth, the Jersey Devil?
Well, not only is he real, he's also probably the biggest douchebag on the East Coast. These days he's going by the name Jadie, maybe you've stumbled onto one of his videos where he's talking about masculinity or a casino or some shit. Usually when it's night i'm the guy behind the camera. In fact, i've been working with the guy for about a year, and he still refuses to call me anything besides "The Night Guy."
Anyway, my main job is to manage the dozens of websites and social media accounts he has to his name, make sure I get all the pretty little angles on his inbred-looking, spray-tanned face, and try to fix the spaghetti code so that the sites don't fall apart. And of course all the while i'm forced to listen to the most dead-brained lectures on whatever topic has gotten his attention. I tell you, i've heard malkavians on crack talk less than this guy.
Sure there's the occasional day where he's taking a "pupil" down to the casino where i'm left alone, and there's a minifridge here stocked with blood packs, but Caine almighty, every time he opens his mouth I can feel myself slipping.
If I were to give you some advice, don't learn how to use a computer. Or at the very least, don't let it be known to the old farts that you know. Then again, it could also be the fact they sent me here as a lesson for not killing a guy immediately, even though I had a hunch he had important information to give, AND I WAS RIGHT, """DAD."""
If you ever find yourself in Atlantic City (Even though I don't recommend it at all,) if you have a young ghoul that you want to donate i'd really appreciate it. I've had so many sad old men for dinner that my breath smells like whiskey, moth balls, and despair.

Thank you, I see that sentiment as a go-ahead for my post.
This is a genius module because on the one side people just like it for what it is (rapidly diminishing crowd) and on the other side it pioneered rage games by decades and is something to gawk at for people who posture that this thing is some sort of crime against humanity (and farm content off of it) so it stood the test of time by having a weird afterlife. Modules without merit typically get forgotten.

Haven't had a chance to play them yet but I just today finished painting my first Ossiarch models and immediately fell in love.
Was interested in the Petrifex legion and think it'd be cool to see either an upgrade sprue for them or a unique model for the Grand Necromystic or the other members of the Necrosian Cabal.

I think that going with their theme it'd be cool if the upgrade sprue was for things like the Mortek Crawler, Gothizzar Harvester, Morghast,or whatever other large constructs that the legion apparently specialize in, instead of infantry.

Seems like an easy and common conversion already, knight helmets are in great abundance. Personally in the modern sea of eldensoulslop I prefer the Stormcast death masks to yet another John Darksouls, but I can see the appeal, though I'd think the sculpted musculature of their armor would lend more to Roman style helms.

>Emperor's Children don't care about Slaanesh specifically really, are just concerned with pleasuring themselves and being freaky. Fabius actively hates Chaos
>Thousand Sons hate Tzeentch for fucking them and try to fuck him over when they can
>Alpha Legion retconned to basically never having been religious at all
>World Eaters are crazy and barely verbal anymore
>Red Corsairs see relying on Dark Gods as weak and now have a whole cadre of troops that are "free" of Chaos influence
>Only Word Bearers and Death Guard seem to actually venerate the Chaos Gods
Why are so few CSM actually religious anymore? Back in the day even your average Alpha Legion boy would be all FOR THE DARK GODS

The mental retardation that led them to doing so is really just more fun imo. Remember this is a setting where everyone is a complete dumbass with the exception of a few stand outs.

none of the chaos gods want anything good for you though
most religions irl teach that if bad shit happens to you it's just a test or something and ultimately you will be rewarded
the ultimate reward for 99% of chaos worshipers is getting tortured forever in super hell until your soul is snuffed out
