Read the 3e core book (link below). For mechanics of the old edition, play this tutorial:http://mengtzu.github.io/exalted/sakuya.html
It’ll get you familiar with most of the mechanics.

>Medicine
The old Healer feat, sort of.

As a Utilize action, you can spend one use of a healer's kit and make a DC 10 Wisdom (Medicine) check to tend to a creature. On a success, the creature regains 5 hit points, plus hit points equal to its maximum number of Hit Dice**.

-Expert Care. For every 5 points you beat the DC, the creature regains an additional 1d6 hit points
-Limit. A creature can't regain hit points from this feature again until it finishes a short or long rest or spends one of its own Hit Dice.

Why not both? Barbarian already gets Rage and will always out damage the fighter but there should be exceptions. To me the fighterspace could use some extra umph at times. You could double specialize (Grandmastery) in actual fighting styles and they've yet to recapture all those advantages one would get and how they would also offset any penalties (styles were sword and board, two weapon fighting, one handed fighting, two handed weapon fighting, throwing and ofc wrestling/punching.) Add in push, pull, trip and pin, much less stun and grit, allowing crits to confer status effects on enemies, like crippled or paralyzed, you have the makings of a very puissant Warrior.
That's a lot of hoops but an adventurer dedicated to fighting would go through them.

>Like it was in the playtest before they cucked out.
It's amazing how many great ideas from the playtest were scrapped. It felt like they took all the feedback from the community, threw it in a bin, and just catered to the lowest common denominator. I like to raid the playtest for house rules at least. 5e without houserules seems like it would be garbage.
>>
>>97820629
For me, one of the easy fixes would be to make maneuvers a default class feature.
Though my personal favourite approach is 13th age 1e.
Each maneuver has a trigger based on a natural D20 roll and it applies as a rider after the roll.

Most of the shows are nothing special story wise really and plenty of it just bolter porn. Decent enough to put in the background while painting, but not much else. "Interrogator" was the only one I recall that actually had something more akin to a decent story and it's very Dark Heresy coded. Few Hammer&Bolter episodes were pretty good as well. But it's been a long while since I last checked, maybe something new worth watching has appeared

Trying to get more into Tau for roleplay. Anyone know good material other than Elemental Council?
>>
>>97818616
Elemental council is the best view into tau in a very long time. Really nuanced and with equal emphasis on each caste and the auxiliaries, and he subtly shows that things are fucked up behind the curtain. In comparison, Phil Kelly's tau books are full of mustache twirling faggot ethereals because he decided to grimdark the tau by turning them into blue imperium through author fiat.

I think the primary reason why is because IGOUGO is primarily part of GW's Warhammer's game's identity like how paint pots are part of Citadel paint's brand identity.

I don't believe alternate activation will magically fix the wargame, but it is a small improvement.

are you the agd anon? If so cool you're still working on it, I tried revisiting my econ-TCG and completely keep circling the drain on fun interaction.
>Direct card-to-card
Just a dueler with theme slapped on
>Lanes
Makes sense as sectors, but has the normal issue of 'no interaction' and 'too much interaction'. Not to mention I'm so tired of lane battlers.
>Shared resources
The obvious direction you'd take an economic game into, given scarcity and all that. But in practice the balance of 'I have to take the things you want and slow you down but not destroy things' really flattens expression down to "take some or none" unless you artificially inflate it (stat checks, tug of war, bidding, etc.) I foolishly rationalized juggling upkeep costs and timing when to recycle your own infrastructure would bring back the highs of card removal and yeah, who would have thought engine un-building while treading underwater is a miserable experience?
I still loathe that Res Arcana is the only game that comes closest to the game I have in mind yet I detest so much about it (low card play, boring take that, obnoxious 'if i get +1 green next turn then...but if it's +1 blue....'). On the flipside, all this just makes me respect Netrunner even more and more, even if it's not my cup of tea.

In that post you quoted I wrote
>>Your attempt to prove me wrong
I identify myself as the guy who correctly stated that the artwork came from the 1994 monstrous compendium, not the 1995 card game and your takeaway from that is I inserted myself into an argument between other people? How stupid do you have to be to reach that conclusion?

As stupid as trying to prove the artwork comes from a 1995 card game not a 1994 book by pointing to a 1998 date on a version posted anonymously and calling that a "logical argument".

Pic related says Wizards of the Coast despite it being published by TSR in 1994 three years before WOTC bought TSR. It's amazing how companies update notices over time isn't it.

Well its April 1st again. I return first of all to remember one of /tg/'s finest works: Dungeons the Dragoning 40,000 7th edition. Last year I gave the game a revision, stapling both books together so it could rival a phonebook.

This year I have more DtD news: 8th edition is on the way. If you want to try out 7th edition before then though the book is in the same spot as always: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1HTYsfwiIWlGg4UZb5Bi32PYgTxKHUIp8

There's also links to a place where you can wait for updates on a playtest. Otherwise, I'll just drop it all in the folder when its done. Happy April Fools.

Excellent taste. I forget which specific path it was but if you want to go out in a blaze of glory there's the one suicide bomber power cawdor has.
Is there anything in particular you feel is getting your guys killed? Have you tried boating smoke grenades and/or blunder poles?
>>
>>97820459
Path of the Doomed is the one with the suicide bombers and yeah that's the one. The biggest reason I'm losing a lot of guys is that I fucked up at gang creation and only bought one champion. On the second week or so both of them got critically injured and neither of them could take eachother to the doctor, so I lost my entire leadership in one game. Honestly I just feel like I've been getting super unlucky with the lasting injury table results.
>>
>>97820474
And on downtime I bought two champions. The very next game, one got memdeath'd and the other got captured and I didn't want to fight the same guy again; let's just say I had 23 tactics cards for that game. Just recently I got an 11 for picking the missions and got to choose, so I just decided to run fucking Ghast Harvest with my opponent and voluntarily bottle when he got close. Spent the 260 creds on another champion who got memdeath'd this last game.

Prostitution is the oldest profession. It has always existed and it will always exist. The presence of prostitutes and brothels is crucial for making a game setting and world feel realistic and lived in. Otherwise, it will lack all verisimilitude. So, tell us, how have you incorporated prostitution into your game?

Wouldn't this kind of question work better for a media franchise? I mean one of the main appeals of tabletop is making your own characters and stories, there really are no iconic D&D characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Han Solo are to Star Wars.
