>>97267386>>97267395I love the kit. The bodies are interchangeable, there are a few weapon options, obviously it's compatible with other Orc kits too. I bought another body and set of legs so I could make a Boar Boss and a Warboss after my BSB was done. Boar Boss WiP attached.

Extremely tough to rely on battle gimmicks and soft control when every other deck can hide in raising and/or get effect immunity and/or protection and/or incidentally remove every small body you spit out. Also feels like more pre-Liberator Green decks have been treated worse than any other colour. Laughably bad Rapid and Cherubi support, only a handful of plants and insects (mostly for other archetypes), essentially nothing for Leomon, JP getting colour swapped so the one fun Hybrid deck would stay dead. Can't even be happy about the Tyrannomon support because they gave it a pointless red Koromon and locked it out of consistency options until it gets them in the literal last wave of dual memory boosts
Jellybros i'm worry about the future support being exclusive for DS or a new trait GG...
>>97267274future support for anything feels direits just an endless stream of new trait keyword decks that get 2 waves of support at best then never get touched again so they can make a new trait to push for 2 waves

>>97267353I don't think anyone ITT has claimed any particularly fanatic devotion from the peasantry. As a reminder, this discussion started with an anon saying that in his Blessed Isle game he simply had common folk and small gods prefer and help the PCs because they're cooler than the Dragon-Blooded. Reply to that was that in the canon setting it'd take more than that for Solars to thrive on the Iske, and then the argument went from there. No one here has argued that it'd be impossible for Solars to find a way to survive on the Isle, though, merely that convincing peasants to side with Anathema would actually take thought and effort rather than just being a natural side effect of openly doing cool Solar shit.
>>97267393I'm very sure that the whole "entire realm goes to war against a single Solar" idea was stamped out in forum talks with developers during 2e. At least from then on, I don't believe it's the intention for that to be true in the modern Realm, which is chiefly characterized by its dysfunction.
>>97267411Anon, that was an hyperbole...
>>97267407I disagree because I think witnessing the acts of a demigod is a spiritual event that can and should make you change your worldview. Like, to take a biblical example, the miracles of Jesus more often than not made people instantly change their minds. So if the Solar is doing the heroic and cool thing, I can totally believe it changes hearts and minds simply through shock and awe.
>>97267430Jesus pulling miracles is, you know, miraculous. A guy glowing golden showing great powers isn't. I mean, people in the Realm know what it's about, they've been told what it's about, it's the stuff of horror stories, it's deeply associated with bad stuff. I'm not saying that specific things a Solar can do with his powers couldn't convince people to change their minds about the whoke Anathema thing, but just showing all the signs and powers of a boogeyman from stories isn't inherently going to endear a Solar to anyone.

Almost noone is a mustwin-tourneyfag, but we all tend to like games we are good at more, conciously or subconciously.
>>97266583>>97266684Everything mentioned in both of these is already completely irrelevant and will be forgotten in less than a year and that is truly insane compared to when people talk about the golden age. Id see a game in the public eye for months maybe ever a year or two. Not so anymore christ. And to that end exactly on the same page as you brudda >>97266649
>>97266817>>97266649>>97266583Honestly, I wonder how much is just timing. Like with music, the stuff that's there when you get into seems grand and great whilst later incarnations of the genre seem cheap and derivitive. Maybe so mrrf it's just a sideffect from many nongamers entering the hobby and doing the initial megaconsoooom, idk.
>>97267299Not to say there's probably not some of that, but things were very noticeably different back then. A game being popular had different reasons why, it got talked about different, and it would linger in discussions for so much longer. Everything is so fast now. For example I would fire up dice tower in 2010, see a game in a video, see that game mentioned again in other games' reviews, see it a few more times in compilation or best ofs. In a 12 month span, Ive seen letters from whitechapel or whatever be mentioned in some meaningful way in like 50 videos not even specifically about it across a bunch of channels. And the quality of discussion was obviously different too. So much of the shit now has no meat on the bone, and video makers are just paid for little piggies, so every video is the same formula of how to play, shallow hyping of key mechanics, random quips. No substance between the games themselves and the advertisersI know it seems like exaggeration to the younger folk but being an adult in the 2000s in boardgaming was lightning in a bottle that is never coming back and myself and others could waffle about it forever
>>97267345That's very fair. To further the music analogy, I have fun digging in the past and checking out lesser known games. I still think boardgaming is in a relatively good place because most more underground games I try aren't well known for a reason; better design still rises to the top. You also get hypes for older games that went under the radar and slowly leaving their mark on public memory. That's why it's so hard (imo) to judge how good a year has been, it still takes like 4-5 years to really judge what has stood the test of time. But I do have fun trying to find the hidden gems. Even though I rarely succeed.
Also boardgaming is a 10/10 hobby and I will not pretend certain trends or piles of iterative designs can change that. If not a single boardgame would come out from now on, there'd still be too much to dig through for one lifetime. I choose to feel positive about this instead of bemoaning the time when there was a smaller pool of yearly releases, almost all of them known to me. I don't miss waiting for the yearly DoW release tbqh

>>97263143I feel that's a problem with every setting based on the concept of "all/most religions/mythologies are actually true and co-existing". You have to accept that it just doesn't really make sense when you start thinking about it and get into details. Or you can come up with some ways to make it have sense which inevitably have pretty damn extreme implications for those religions

This means you usually want a gun that can leverage their +2 dice safely. That's usually an SMG or an automatic rifle.>Shocktroopers are designed around the fire teams, specifically around a 'set up > cash in' system with the concentrated attack bloodbath. You don't have a melee weapon on the +1 melee dice assault drill guy. Their play pattern should be to wait until something advances > fireteam activate as a pair > fire 2x assault weapons > charge in > concentrated attack bloodbath. Alternatively you could fire team one with the machine gun MHI and do the same thing but the Shocktrooper goes in to finish off the guy you added a few blood markers to with the machine gun. >Skip the armor on yeomen.
