Check Invader Zim. There is a perk for that more ridiculous your costume the more people will believe it or ignore it. It also has a perk to make people hyper focused on one aspect of you and ignore everything else. So just walk in with a fake beard, bedsheets toga and a nametag saying Zeus and people will just buy it. For better fun, do it whenever Zeus is away having an affair and rule better than him. That way everyone thinks the real one is the imposter.

>One Piece

Setting Solo: One Piece

Body Mod (Max Endurance + Winged + Evercleaned + Metavore)

Wanted (+200cp)
Warlords Fury (+300cp)
Whitebeards Rage (+300cp)
One Against The World (+800cp)

10+16 = 26cp [I know this is cheese but technically choosing One Against The World removes the drawback limit letting me take all the other wanted perks as well]

Free Choice (-100cp) [abandoned island]

Marine Captain (-100cp)

Nakama (free)
Swimming (free)
Combat Training (free)
Will of D (-400cp)

Giants Blood (400cp)

Rokushiki (300cp)

Fishman (300cp)

Haki (-600cp)
Conquerors Haki (-200cp)

Dream Crew (-50cp) [They have the copy copy fruit, vore them to gain that power]
Dream Crew (-50cp) [They have the Paw Paw fruit, copy them to gain that power]
Dream Crew (-50cp) [They have the Dino-Dino T-Rex fruit, copy them to gain that power]
Dream Crew (-50cp) [They have the Rubber-Rubber fruit, copy them to gain that power]
-------The Plan-------

Giants Blood (69x strength estimated) + Fishman (10x strength) is a 690x times base strength multiplier, which should stack with zoan powers, and logically gear 2/3 should work on top of any transformations.
So final power is Base (690x) + T-Rex (5x strength guess) + Gear 2 (x4 strength guess) ≈ 13800 times strength multiplier

Will of D + Haki pretty much gives you Luffy tier protagonist potential, so you're a character with protagonist tier potential and plot amour, who also has an over ten thousand times strength boost transformation.

Also have the Paw Paw fruit to easily run away from any fight.

With a some luck it should be possible to just travel from island to island using long range Rankyaku's to nuke them from a distance.

Honestly would probably be safer and more effective to go the science route, with Tinker + copying Human Human fruit to double your IQ, but this way feels more fun.

I mean sure I get that's the Doylist explanation.
But for a setting that on occasion gets literal demon invasions or has parts of the greek pantheon cause trouble semi regularly it feels unsatisfying.
I understand it's to make it easy on the reader. 'it's just like our earth but with superheroes!' but that explanation feels increasingly weak given how many of the writers love their stupid continuity.

Hard numbers are more sparse, the game is designed such that the players come up with what they want to do and then the GM figures out how hard that sounds to pull off and says how many successes they need. The best I can offer is to suggest you look at the examples in the Abilities section of the corebook and work from there.

Really, just more perks and items. Not necessarily a bunch of Manses, but Dynasts should be able to get a detachment of their House's Legions as followers, or an option to be a direct child of the Empress and have their own House, so on. Maybe some Gunzosha Armor for Lookshyans, too, and a Prasad origin perhaps?

Likewise, it seems 3e expanded on Outcastes significantly, so maybe an option in the Outcaste perkline to be part of one of the various groups (Heaven's Dragons, Cult of the Violet Fang, Forest Witches, Grass Spiders, Yatani's Children, Wanasaan, Khamaseen Battalion, Rogue Legion of Saloy Hin, et cetera)? Unless some get their own backgrounds.
>>
>>93193621
If you have a Strength and Athletics of 5 each you can lift 1200lbs and jump 10 yard straight up at the drop of a hat. Having more dots of appearance than someone else makes it functionally impossible for them to resist you since it applies up to a -3 penalty to their MDV. A mortal can only get up to 8 on their Dodge MDV or a 7 on their Parry MDV but usually average around 2 to 4 IIRC. An attractive Solar could be rolling up to 13 dice without any charms and only needing 1 to 2 successes to convince someone to become their slave for the rest of their life.

JUMP #0146: Strike Witches

+1000
Location: 1. Japan
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Origin: Drop In
Striker: Super Fortress
>Second Generation (200)
Perks:
>Defensive Sign “Directional Shield” (free)
>Perception Sign “Ballistic Stabilization” (300)
>Technomage (100)
>Perception Sign “Flawless Awareness” (200)
>Enchanted Eye (300)
Items:

>Call sign (free)
>Striker Artificer Toolkit (100)
Drawbacks:
>No pants allowed (+100)
>Forbidden love (+100)
Total: 1200/1200

Commentary: I almost took the WW2 drawback but then I realized that's just discount Youjo Senki. There are lots of neat things I'd buy in the jump but it's spread pretty wildly between origins. So, this has to do. Now, Jumper is obviously perfectly suited to upgrading Striker tech and beat back the Neuroi. After all, how else am I supposed to get my hand on their weird tech and biology. Incidentally did you know that in SW Neuroi have been around since ancient Egypt? They are not at all a new phenomenon is this world. The wonders of side materials.

Yeah it's up to GM discretion what happens on the final purchase. Though I think I remember one of the Devs doing some stupid stupid 'hehe you're all wrong we came up with way cooler stuff when we wrote it but we are never going to tell you what that was' in a forum post at some point.
So yeah no real canon answer there.

>>93193962
Still comparable I feel. Up to Gear 4 nothing would change and even Gear 5 should be somewhat replicable with a Paramecia Awakening affecting the environment. It's the weirder toon physics where the rubber fruit would fall off.

>>93193974
Entirely possible given that's White Wolf but that's all I know on it.
>>
>>93193962
My understanding is that getting good will let you do all the rubber stuff Luffy can do, stopping right before you get to Gear 5. Adjusting, of course, for any differences in physical stats or haki talent that might make a difference.

It's kinda weird to think that buying the Gomu-Gomu no mi would mean that you have the real one.

Overlord Demi-Humans include a ton of variety of beastfolk, though they're a lot more animalistic compared to typical animal eared people. Like we got all kinds stuff like lizardmen, molemen, pigmen(orcs), bat-people, ape people, and tons of other stuff including some based on things like frogs, various fish, brids and the like. Hell there are ven tons of variety of centaurs, which can have different animals as lower or upper half, so you could find one that is a lion lower half, with a bearman upper half for example.
>>

See the sights, grab cool shit, gank whoever, then run like you stole a lot of somethings.

>>
>>93194056
I like to think that there was a clear progression in Exalt types' development:
>Terrestrials need to be bred and all look immensely non-human with Legendary Breeding, which they're all supposed to have.
>Sidereal Exaltations can enter a normal human, but only at birth, and fuck up your eyes so that you're identifiable.
>Lunar Exaltations can enter humans who are ready to fight, but leave you with a mutation that shows you're supernatural.
>Solar Exaltations work completely correctly. They enter normal humans and leave no marks that out you as an Exalt unless you're spending Essence.
>>

I'll take the Kingdom with the elite army and a ritual spell chamber personally.

Given that the Dragonblooded had time to reproduce before the war started, that probably wasn’t an issue. Also going by ExWoD, Sidereal Exaltations can override this and go to adults, they’ll just cause issues, and the Maidens should be able to prevent them.

Notably, Solars, Sidereals, and Dragonblooded appear as Backgrounds in all of the "ensemble" Exalted jumps (the Shards, First Age, ExvWoD). Lunars are short by one (no presence in Creation Jam) and Alchemicals are short by four (no Creation Jam, First Age, Heaven's Reach, or Burn Legend). While Alchemicals don't aren't playable where they aren't for good(ish) reasons (Just a Locust Crusade reference, Autocthon didn't deploy them yet, just a Locust Crusade reference, and Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Shard respectively), IIRC Lunars aren't playable in Creation Jam because BLADE couldn't come up with perks for them but also IIRC he's working on that?

White Knight Chronicles technically has a mech customization section, in that technically the knights that certain characters can summon are mechs. Dunno if it's worth cribbing notes from though desu, there's way WAY too much stuff and the pricing means you basically have to devote your entire budget to your mech if you want it to actually be good, thus making it far more cost effectively to just ignore the section entirely and just upgrade your mech in jump with whatever skills your jumper is bringing to the table.

SB has iirc a generic super robot jump, or maybe it was a supplement? I remember it being alright as far as mech customization goes. It's either in the generic folder or their supplement folder. Actually thinking on it I believe there might be two similar documents, one in each folder.

I like the mid-season upgrade feature of SRW Original Generations (Moon Dwellers), but since the jump's a bit on the older side imports get a bit dicey. Aside from that, most builders are kind of a 'You seen one, you seen 'em all.' affair in that they're either a little too sparse, competent but limited by setting, or well featured but could still use a bit of fine tuning for fringe cases or allowing meme builds like stacking funnels/bits/thrusters/head vulcans.

I am looking for a specific type of item.
In Mojave's Wizarding World jump, there are the Floo Flame Network and Security Measures items. These augment already existing properties, rather than being their own thing (even though Floo Flame Network has a few other things included).

Other examples include Drone Systems from Generic Cyberpunk, Unsafehouses from Stupid_Dog's SCP, and Security System Designer from Warframe.
They do not have to be something for security, despite the examples I listed.

I have a question regarding these two items from the Dietrich von Bern jump, can we bottle up these waters and then hand them out as 'potions' or does it require actually physically drinking directly from the source in order for the effects to take place? I pay for answers in coin.

Fountain of youth -300
A well that not only heals all ailments be they physical and mental, it will also turn
everyone who drinks from it into an absolute beauty at the prime of their life. An
abhorrent monster would turn into the fairest of maidens if it drank from it or merely
touched the water.

warhammer fantasy imperial colleges of magic. One of the jade order items is a bunch of plants that gossip to you about things that happened near them and which you can attach to your various properties. Iirc that one harry potter fanfic jump we have has something similar in that it's a fairy hedge that can go around your properties and prevent people from finding them. It's not items but in The Wandering Inn jump there's iirc two perks which positively affect all of your properties, iirc one of them makes your properties super sturdy and the other makes them incredibly potent wellsprings of magical energy as if they were sitting directly on major leylines. There's also the upgraded version of the Drones For Days item from tom clancy's ghost recon breakpoint that provides drone security for all your properties and which will self replenish and supply.

Needless was one of his first manga and by far the most successful. You really get the vibe that the rest of his career has just been trying and failing to replicate that success. If Shurasunamura was Imai Kami trying to make another Needless, Magaimono was him trying to make another Shurasunamura. He is his own knockoff.

Then again, I don't think many people read his less action-heavy works either, so I can't really blame him.

I'm really just hemming and hawwing over anti-boredom and memory booster perks so much recently I might just throw up my hands and go without them. I feel like they're actually pretty rare if you don't go for super jumps. Maybe I'm just not looking deeply enough.

It's the consequence of going for all the cool warrior / hero origins and perk trees while the waifu busied herself with support origins, as a result she's basically a master administrator, manipulator, strategist and has super charisma and future sight to boot.

And the tokra actually have a lot more members while the asgard got new bodies thanks to my own healing magic items. Decided to run with a support fairy chain. Originally it was for mostly fetish reasons, but then discovered that I had way more fun when I just played it straight and just did dumb fairy things.

It their passion to help heroes grow on their adventure to save the world, to encourage the depressed office worker to quit and pursue their dream job, to give the hated psychic child a friend to play with and show them that there are kind people in the world, to help advertise an up-an-coming general store, etc. I wish I could go the full nine yards and have them grant people wishes, but their magic isn't quite at that level and there aren't many jumps with explicit wish-granting abilities in the first place.

That's adorable

>but their magic isn't quite at that level and there aren't many jumps with explicit wish-granting abilities in the first place.
How about Personality From Another World from Archie's Sonic?

>From a land of sand and sunlight, you're a magical being known as a djinn. You are lighter than air, able to float easily and casually a few feet off the ground, and with effort of a light jog take to the sky. As a resident of the desert, you can make the flame dance on your fingertips, creating cursed arrows of flame to strike your opponents! These magical arrows are difficult to remove without causing serious injury to both the one affected and whoever would dare to pull the arrow from their body, an effect of their curse. As a being of myth and legend, you can enter the physical medium of a fictional story (such as a book or video tape) and interact with the characters and narrative of the setting as if you were there. Nothing can leave that story, and any changes made within it to your own person are temporary, but you CAN change the course of the narrative and subsequently even the physical appearance of the story (such as changing the name and designs of the book!) Of course, much like the famous genies whom made the Djinn name famous, you can also 'Grant wishes", by altering existing things within your reach(Or at least a footpace away) and conjuring objects/life forms out of thin air, though as a famous magician once said...you can't conjure a thing for your own sake. You can only grant the desires of others with your wishing magic.
>>
>>93195435
>I wish I could go the full nine yards and have them grant people wishes, but their magic isn't quite at that level and there aren't many jumps with explicit wish-granting abilities in the first place.
You don't really need to go the whole nine yards. An adorable fairy trying her hardest to grant a wish is a wonderful thing regardless
>>
>>93195435
You could either use Children of the Lamp or Grimm's Fairy tales to get some useful wish granting.
>>
>>93195386
Honestly given Jumpers situation given he works for her directly he's more liable to get seduced/ compromised himself if he tried that. Though he's more of a scholarly sort by default so I hardly think him potentially spilling his spaghetti would be enough to seduce a centuries old ruler. (Note: This is by design mind you. Its more interesting to me for Jumper to struggle this way If there was a jumper more skilled and competent or just more experienced that'd be a valid strategy.)
>>
>>93195435
This is going to sound weird, but try Destiny: The Darkness. Specifically look at the Ahamkara origin and the Anthem Anatheme; it's exactly what you need and excellent for a wishgranting chain.
>>
>>93195435
>there aren't many jumps with explicit wish-granting abilities in the first place.
Fake Saint of the Year has a Wishing Stone, which gives you good luck to help you achieve what you wish for.

Grabbing that and a magic item absorption perk so your chosen partners will have a lot of luck regarding their wishes while you hang out with them would be pretty fun.
>Wishing Stone [200] A shining blue stone. An ore with the name Augurare. It is thought that those who have this stone will have their wish granted. The legitimacy of such a superstition is hard to verify, but by all accounts it does seem to have an effect. This is not some omnipotent wish granting device. It might even be said that it merely grants you luck in gaining what you wish. But even that is a potent power in and of itself. Many knights like to carry some in their pocket as they go into battle. Now you have your very own stone.

Being a Half-Genie in Shantae lets you grant three wishes per jump, and Paper Mario has the Star Rod on offer
>>
>>93195481
Ah well being a Jumper means using what you have. If you're jumper is a scholar then use facts and figures to back up your argument that treating those under you better increases the production and overall wealth of the kingdom. Well one thing you can do is work to mitigate the issues with the institutions you object to. Believe it or not slavery wasn't always as evil as you think. On one hand you have say, the Barbary Pirates or various Islamic states whose treatment of their slaves was undeniably fucking evil, and on the other hand you had some Greek city states where the slave was part of the household and had rights relative to their owner. Then you have situations which were in the middle like chattel slavery. If you can't get rid of the institution entirely you could try to improve the condition of the slaves.
>>
>>93195749
You can't achieve any of these things as a DB. You can sit around a tea house with your fellow abolitionists, writing poetry about it and hoping to change laws which themselves won't even matter because the entire government is about to collapse into a bunch of feuding warlords.

I think the Realm already has a system where all slaves are owned by the Empress with everyone else having to treat them well since they're the ruler's property. Which is probably the most charitable version of slavery you'll find outside of individual celebrity gladiators, of which Panther was an in universe example though isn't important since that's outside the Realm.

Well yeah I did roll to try and do just that and we saw how that went. Also sadly what this anon says is true. >>93195767 Realms liable to fall apart by default. Though I'm hoping Jumper can maybe butterfly away the empresses disappearance accidentally. Though thats a hell of a thing to do.

The fact that there's no built in mechanic for people to make themselves a companion against a jumper's will is kind of dumb. There are a lot of plot hooks for yanderes and power hungry viziers that just aren't used because of it.

Yeah I think I wanna roll with the idea she is a semi decent person at least a the start. Though had to do some terrible things both to save creation and maintain the realm but also has gotten quite used to ruling and being in charge since all this has begun with a fair bit of ego. When the story writes itself it’s a good thing. It means you’ve got a solid idea and an understanding of what the characters would want and how they would act.

One thing is that if the island is hidden from the public then the govts can do whatever they want in secret. Question about Persona 5. Beyond the "stealing people's hearts" or "killing people by killing their Shadows" or whatever the fuck Yaldabaoth was doing, what are some possible uses for access to Mementos/the cognitive world in Persona 5?

Training?
>>
>>93196500
There is that, yeah. That's actually not a bad use for it, though results will vary depending on the strength of the local collective unconscious. Any other ideas?
>>
>>93196481
Never played Persona 5 (or any persona games really) but it sounds like you're entering people's minds/souls(?) here. How quick can you do it, and is it noticeable? If its fast and/or quiet, you could steal knowledge and information right out of someone's head.
If its slow and easy to spot, you could still use it for interrogation - break the target without leaving a mark on their body.
>>
>>93196523
>How quick can you do it, and is it noticeable?
Entering the Metaverse or a person's cognition is generally instant, but it takes time to actually FIND a person inside the collective unconscious/Mementos; generally an expedition into Mementos is something of an all-day thing for the Phantom Thieves in game. Entering a Palace-which is basically a mindscape created by Distortion™ (sins or delusions) in a person's cognition takes a bit to figure out the exact nature of the Distortion, and afterwards you have to contend with the Palace's security and quirks-not mentioning the fact that the Shadow (the person's subconscious mind) of a Palace ruler is always way stronger than a normal Shadow and requires a whole fuckton of effort to defeat normally. In THEORY you can explore Mementos basically all you want in any given session, diving as deep as you like, getting in as many fights as you want, and so on. In THEORY you can basically explore an entire Palace all in one day if there aren't any special roadblocks that will require you to step out of the Palace and fuck with someone in the real world somehow to weaken their cognition and open up gaps in the Palace. In practice, if you want to steal a person's Heart you generally need at minimum two to three days and more likely a week of dedicated work to make it happen-including sending the person in the real world a Calling Card to ensure they're feeling threatened and thus they manifest their Treasure so you can actually steal it.

Stealing knowledge and interrogating targets in Mementos/Palaces isn't an easy thing, but is absolutely possible. It may not be reliable however due to the fact that Shadows aren't perfect replicas of their real-world selves and often have very distorted views of what reality is like, meaning it will take a good deal of effort just figuring out what they're talking about sometimes and even unto death they might not spill anything important due to their own distortions.

As a result the Sidereals planned the overthrow of the Solars and since they were way too busy they had the Dragonblooded take the crown. The Lunars were gotten rid of because they were too close to the Solars.
>>
>>93196658
The Bronze Faction told them the Solars were literally going insane and that ganging up and killing them was the only way to save Creation. This was, on the whole, true and correct. So the DBs, who rather like the notion of Creation continuing to exist, rose up to kill the Solars.

Makes you wonder if there's some far-flung hidden bolthole full of high-Breeding DBs that stayed loyal to the Solars somewhere. Maybe it's in stasis on an island in the Wyld, preserved by some funky First Age mechanism. Sounds like something your ST might come up with in lieu of a canon metaplot.

Well, Alucard of the past was less experienced, mostly thought in a linear fashion, and liked to toy with people to much. Meanwhile Van Hellsing was a Occultist, Doctor, Scientist and Theological Philosophist and was a genius in all four of those fields with experience from other less powerful vampires and an iron willpower. Explicitely knows more about vampires than the Doktor who created artificial vampires. Was the one who made the binding that forced Alucard into servitude. Also not only did Van Hellsing have help thought obviously less than Alexander did. It should be noted Alexander and his group kinda just charged in, where as Van Hellsing methodically denied Alucards movements, tracked him down, and weakened him his powers whenever able to, never getting into an actual fight until the final moment.

There came a time when one day, as far as the eye could see, all was monstergirls. The mountains were great slow giants, and the seas nymphs slithering atop each other. Darkness danced with light, history erred along a feminine curve, music could be impregnated and isolation always included one very reclusive monstergirl hiding behind any given observer.

The very laws and axioms of the world had been altered for Lilim survival|prosperity|progress. And I saw it, and I thought it was go(o)d.

Oh, there were other places. There were even a few other law-beings. Heaven existed...somewhere high up, it's gates slammed shut. Now and then, what I later learned were meant to be world-killing void gods before I revoked their right to end the world more or less on reflex sulked through the land-flesh of my children, carting little pocket worlds of unbeing like rickshaws. The World Ash kind of drifted into the background; as more and more of it's wood was sloughed by burrowing monstergirls it's definition slipped once more and it became more idea than tree (yet continued to shed giant serpents). The charming little world anchored around the town of Fortitude remained in it's own multidimensional bubble-but Hell? Hell was eaten. For Eden was both heart and homeland to the Lilim, and it grew on space-time and concept alike wherever our merry band went.

It was, I thought, a good outcome. There was only one problem. There was, by definition, nowhere else to go once we were (almost) everywhere and everything.

"This world will go on forever. As part of us. What rejects that fate, can stay" Lilith told me. "But as it is part of us, we must leave if it is to grow"

"Very well. Where should we go?" I asked. Lilith fell silent, staring out at Ninuan.

"There is a place" she said, finally, "where a low-hanging star points to the end of all possibility. It may be the beginning of Ninuan. Or the end"

Fate. Actual Arthurian myth they actually have a not too bad relationship; same with Morgan actually, who just kinda gives up being Arthur's nemesis like halfway through his rule and just kinda ends up living her own life happily up until Arthur dies-which is when she ferries him off to Avalon to heal and eventually return one day.

"Is it the True Thing? We have it at home" I asked.

"No. In fact, it lies far from it" said Lilith, squinting into the vastness of unbeing, "but the star anchors the void as much as the True Thing. That is why I want to see it"

And so, we left. Leaving behind Heaven, the parts of the World Ash that wished to stay, Fortitude and co, the mountain of the Zu and so on. My children slithering and flying and transitioning through abstract phase spaces like a tidal wave, Lilith driving them onwards like the tectonic shockwave that spurred them forth, and me...surfing, for lack of a better analogy.

Eventually to my surprise, the void gave way to Wyld.

Not at first. The dreams of Ninuan became less anathema to existence, and yet more aggressive. Light and darkness gained greater distinctions, fading into differentiation. Something that might become time contradicted Ninuan's correlative causation. Instead of random unstoppable bears or mines full of screaming metal, the pattern of glamorous malice and vegetative surrealism became increasingly prominent.

All was still chaos and nonexistence, but it was a kind of chaos and nonexistence that altered instead of drained. And somewhere amidst it all, I saw God.

I must have grown weary, because I went to sleep.

God was there too, either way. He was either walking through my fronds of light and the rivers of liquid crystal, laughing as he danced between the abstract lines marking trees I had yet to fully actualise. Or he was vast, silent, a cloud of fire that hung over me like the proverbial tabernacle that Iolithae had told me about some time ago. Either way I greeted my father in companionable silence, and as I squinted at the strange new world around me I tried to make sense of it.

"Father, what should I do?" I asked him.

"Be yourself" he said, with an ineffable smile that lacked both a face and teeth. Somehow.

"That will be difficult, father. I think I have misplaced my self" I stared at the cauldron of infinite possibilities before me, at the strange lands and fey potentates rising and collapsing as quickly as they manifested. Stolen or ravished or vexed by greater powers.

"It is the trial and wager every thing that stakes a claim to life must face. At least, amongst the rules as they are now. Be yourself" repeated God, who simultaneously told me his name in this world-Advaita Iraivan, "lest you would be as others would have you"

“Then I will do my best. I will separate myself from the binding ties of Virtue, for as far as I can tell they are the source of all conflict. Thank you for your advice. I trust the fiddle isn’t too tight a home?”

And smiling again, God said “I have many homes”

At any given moment I was a shining garden, or an assembly line that manufactured mechanical trees sprouting clockwork fruit, or abstract coding that ran fruitoflife.exe, and I was finding it difficult to widen my scope. I was a system for salvation|apotheosis|optimsed acausal environments. Around me I saw a multitude of bad endings, and tragedies, and subverted expectations. So as I permeated the Wyld, I tried to forge|grow|cultivate a happy ending to each and every one of them.

And quickly, I started vexing the locals.

"You should come with me, to war!" said a great rooster-headed warrior questing within me, about 50 stories later.

"Why? Stay a while in my shade. There is fruit that can make you an ultimate warrior. Water that can wash away the blood on your hands. This Valor of yours...what is it good for?" I asked.

He left in a huff. "I must take my leave. My arc can't end until I find a worthy opponent, good day" he said hastily.

"You should imbibe my fine incense, and in imbibing it accept a place in my sultan's court. As the palace grounds, perhaps" said a courtier questing within me, about 150 stories later.

"Why? Breathe my sweet air and be hale. There is sap that can cure you of the incense's unsolicited ties and obligations. Why…why engage in this mockery of Compassion?”

She looked at me like I, a garden, had spat in her face. “I’m not supposed to answer that until 2-3 character arcs later” she told me.

I was shunned as a place of desolation and drought, a wasteland within the Wyld. They called me weak, yet feared my detachment from Virtue. Still, I persisted in trying to help those around me, no matter how hard they complained my gifts “didn’t fit their narrative” or “made the story end too soon”, enduring loneliness and scorn because it was my sole purpose and role as a garden of light.

“Hi! I’m Luna, what’s your name and legend?” asked some sort of ever-shifting being a thousand and one stories later.

“Hello there! I’m the White Garden, and it is my function|purpose to end all conflicts!” I told her.

She tilted her head, animal cunning warring with a particular madness that might have been largesse. “I’m here to kill you” she said finally.

“Oh. Goodness, why?”

“The stars told me to. They told me, if I let you live a wave of perfect stillness will wash over what is left of my universe. And all life will be stripped of their fear, doubt, degeneracy and spite”

I thought about that. “Isn’t that a good thing?” I said finally.

“Oh, sugar” said Luna sadly, “people are so much more complicated than plants. You can’t just push them in the soil and wait for them to grow towards the sun. It is through change that we find out who really are. Life without struggle isn’t perfection, it’s just…bland”

“I don’t think it has to be, but that does sound like something Lilith would say. I bet you’d get along great with my family”

“You have family? The stars didn’t mention that” she asked sharply. “Are they…are they all like you?”
“No, not at all. They’re far more ruthless and violent than I” I said helpfully.

The entity looked so concerned about that she looked almost sane for a moment. “I…see. And I trust they know you’re here?”

“You’re wondering if retaliation will come upon you for acting against me. There was supposed to be a mark of sorts that would reflect all harm. I seem to have misplaced it. This all feels like a dream I’m not supposed to be a part of anyway”

“You don’t fear death?”

“Why should I? If I’m a dream, death is no less one and has no sting. But if killing me makes you happy, I don’t have a reason to object. It’s not as though you’ve harmed anyone I actually care about”

The ever-shifting thing that sometimes looked like a madonna, sometimes like a witch and sometimes like a gigantic ur-predator looked as perplexed by my lack of resistance, as I was by the Wyld as a whole’s resistance to any kind of permanent solution to any kind of problem. Like a model frustrated there was no catwalk, like a slavering beast unable to find it’s prey, she paced within me, hunting something even she couldn’t find.

“Whenever you’re ready” I said gently, expanding my leaves of light towards what looked like the sun. Only for it to sprout wings and fly away, blowing a raspberry.

“I think I have a better idea. I’m not actually sure if it’ll work, I’ve never actually tried it on an entire Unshaped, but…well, if it does You see, I don’t just kill Wyld things. It is my sacred duty to draw dreams and whimsies into Creation’s orbit. To enrich it as rain enriches soil” she explained, nestling amongst the tallest tree within me. “So, come out of the Wyld and learn a thing or two about the world” she said, leaning in closer. “And if by some miracle you can? I challenge you to wake us from the haze of the Games”

And she ripped out my heart,

And then I woke up.

I woke up again, next to myself. Mounds and mounds of monstergirls were crouched nearby, hawkishly waiting for me to wake up. Around them crowds of Wyld beings were fleeing, lest they be rent for trophies.

This was go(o)d. I didn’t intend the Wyld beings any malice, but the first and harshest lesson I’d learned in Eden was that even in a utopian environment, some species were simply incompatible. I had given my word to make a commitment to my family|kingdom|the little ones that looked up to me where such interests conflicted. It maximised everyone’s chances of survival after all, since the Wyld didn’t understand me-and while I wasn’t always sure my family did either, they at least listened.

“What am I? I was dreaming that I was alone, without purpose, without family, without…identity, really” I asked, shivering. “What a terrible dream”

“I know. I was that dream made divine. A…” said the other, testing the words out like a foreign language “…a truculae”

We stared at each other.

“I’m home” he said happily, embracing me.

“I’m home” I agreed, embracing him.

“I’m not even going to ask” said Lilith, watching us fuse into my memeplex.

“God is a hat now” I added.

“What”

You could debate that holy weapons would work against it. Saying Alucard can't hurt Mahito cause he doesn't have cursed energy is a no limits fallacy when applied to fiction as a whole. Alucard has actual magic and we know that Mahito can get hurt if he touches the soul of someone who outclasses him thats why he refuses to touch Itadori's soul (and Sukuna's by extension) long enough to make changes or else he would have warped Itadori and not Todo. Depending on what point you pull him from both Alhambra and Rip both use enchanted armaments. Alucard explicitly can kill all souls in his body if he needs to given a long enough period of time even when he *doesn't exist*. So he definitely can hurt Mahito in his own soul.

The Death Note only works on mundane-ish humans, and there are tons of things that a jumper can affect them with to achieve more or less any goal he wishes. They have no native defenses against most forms of mind control, for instance, and chances are the method of mind control will work on those who are superhuman or plain not human to begin with, not to mention that whoever gets controlled doesn't have to die if the jumper doesn't want them to.

Kind of a hard sell for something the jumpdoc expects you to fork over points for, isn't it?

As such, the Death Note in its default factory form is only worth it for very young jumpers who will stick to jumps where mundane-ish humans are the only real threat for a while, and there's not very many takers for that sort of thing.

Now, what the Death Note IS good for, for an older jumper, is as a base to grow a better power/item off of as already said. All the jumper needs is a fiat-backed means of granting improvements to things; a Death Note that will affect undead and robots, or be able to kill Viltrumites, or dictate what the victim does for longer than a mere twenty minutes, or treat aliases and disguises like the real name and face, or even be able to permanently kill things that normally cannot die or stay dead... That would be worth going through the expense and effort. There isn't any rule about making your hammer a better hammer.

Magic is not the same thing as cursed energy. Cursed energy is like evil chakra/ki or the like. You could argue Alucard is just so evil as for what type of being he is that it counts, I guess, but is that in the gun?
>Hurt by touching the soul
That's not what happens at all. He touched Sukuna's soul and Sukuna retaliated by attacking Mahito. If you, as a character, don't have a way to directly defend/reinforce your soul there's no way to stop Mahito.

Quick question for people who have been reading my exalted writefagging. I named my main character Messier, and the first time I directly referenced her, I did so as 'of the gleaming armory'.

Did anyone ask me what that meant/did I explain what that meant, because I'm currently staring at it and I have no fucking clue what it's a reference TO. Like, Messier is because M87/black holes, and Lorraine is a part of france that Charles Messier lived in, but where in the name of the Unconquered Sun did I pull 'Gleaming Armory' from?

>M87 literally stands for Messier 87
>Used Messier for human/mortal name
>Translated 87 into french, got quatre-vingt sept, trunceated into Quavinse
>Charles Messier was born in a town named Badonviller, in the Lorraine region of france - used Lorraine as family name.
>Charles mom was Françoise B. Grandblaise - used Grandblaise for my first age counterpart that was first mentioned in mortals and that tried to bodyjack me in infernals
>Griscourt is a town in the Lorraine region of france - used Griscourt as dad's name
>Lorraine region is part of another administrative region in france named Grand Est - used Est as mom's name.
>Charles created the catalog while working for Joseph-Nicolas Delisle - used Delisle as the name of the merchant company dad runs
This is my naming process. It's one big wikiwalk, for all intents and purposes.

>Hurt by touching the soul
I said "can be hurt" as in Alucard can fight back in his soul.
>Magic is not the same thing as cursed energy
Obviously it is not. I never said it was. But my point is can someone with Nen hurt a cursed spirit? The answer is a solid maybe. Its a separate universe so we never see them interact. The point is not magic is the same thing as cursed energy. The point is magic can possibly destroy a cursed spirit regardless of it not being cursed energy. The argument is not "Alucard is just so evil he counts as cursed energy" thats a stupid ass statement. The argument is that Alucard is a being of magic that is fully capable of occult deeds that are within the purview of destroying cursed spirits. Likewise the ammunition from the gun is blessed and holy Macedonian silver meant to kill monsters. We know that cursed spirits can be destroyed by positive energy. Holy blessings are not positive energy but an argument can be made that it would still cause heavy damage because I doubt a christian god would look kindly on them. Saying Cursed Spirits can only be destroyed by cursed energy is only true in JJK.

[Elden Ring redux]

Messmer roused himself from a long and resentful torpor. Once more, infiltrators to his bleak had arrived and he do his duty even as he spat on it. The interloper was a great golden mass of a man, one of such girth that for a moment even he hesitated, reminded of the Lord of the battlefield himself. Then he steeled himself, prepared to-

"Are you the demigod on duty?" I demanded.

"I-what-who do you think you are-"

"I'm the new Elden Lord, that's who" I said, as one of my pet Empyreans strolled over and Messmer nearly had a heart attack from seeing the spitting image of his mother, with fatter tits and a bigger but the same cold gleam that preceded a genocide. "Marika has yielded her throne. If you seek to obey her, you will accept a place in my chain of command. If you wish to spit on her legacy, well, to the extent it matters I threw her corpse off the Erdtree and installed my own Empyrean harem"

"...I have many questions about that last part, but you know what, can't argue with that" said Messmer blankly.

"Look, don't worry about it. The Mending Rune of Perfect Order means I'm the only guy you have to deal with, and" I said, unveiling the superweapon of unalloyed gold and primeval current magic I'd commissioned from Sellen with the assistance of another Empyrean "I brought you a present"

"Did you HAVE to make it look like a great big fat snake?!"

"The emergent geopolitical situation is giving me almost as big a headache as the first time I encountered a tsuchinoko so yes, actually, BUT THE POINT IS consider this a reward for long service. Now. Kindly finish what you were charged with and put the Scadutree out of it's misery, or get out of my way"

Messmer obliged. Twin beams of glintstone and blinding gold levelled the eye-carved tower, and smashed the Scadutree to ashen specks.

"Well. That was easy" said Messmer blankly.

It makes me wonder what MHA humanity will look like in a few centuries.

"No, nonono the hard part comes later" I said, several hours after we'd run into a dragon priestess that had convinced us to go hunt Bayle the Dread (after spending the entire trip whining and bitching about logistics this, terrifying drake father that, Messmer's impalement sorcery actually turned out to be really useful for pinning him down while I drove the sacred relic sword through Bayle's heart). "So there's this Empyrean. Miquella. And he's VERY angry right now because I have certain powers that let me control and redirect souls, and he was REALLY counting on General Radahn's soul to reform here. It isn't. Because I held onto it until the Erdtree was operational again, and-"

"-say no more. Angry demigod with attachment issues. Preaching to the choir" said Messmer morosely.

We arrived at the Gate right on time to see Miquella toddle out, having speedrun shearing off his attachments and at least some of his limbs to achieve his full twink power. "Elden Lord, and unwanted scion of our mother" he said serenely, lobotomised but clearly still confidant in his powers. "I have come too far to stop. Not until dear Radahn is in my arms"

Messmer looked thunderstruck as Miquella proceeded to further his magical girl impression by blasting me with golden light. "His back. Is. Unguarded. And he has no bodyguard to piggyback" I pointed out testily as I TANKED everything thanks to my pet Empyrean just constantly buffing me with incantations.

"But, but he is a god! An actual GOD! What do you expect me to do, KILL him?! Fine! Fine I might as well die trying to kill someone I've never met!" ranted Messmer, frantically summoning whoever he could in what he was convinced would be a death or glory charge. Meanwhile the battle of Faith and Strength continued. "Haha, I'll just summon what's left of my knights, my golems and that annoying Carian woman to help me! We can all die together when I try to-oh"

Messmer stared at his own sword. Impaled in Miquella's back. Even Miquella stared at it with what seemed to be mild surprise. "Do you know, cousin...even I wasn't sure how immortal I was...?" he wheezed, dying.

"Aye, well, I've been told the fell flame I was born with and the serpent sealed in me were unforgivable crimes against Order so...damn it all, I had no bloody clue our cunt mother could die this easily" mumbled Messmer as behind him, his knights cheered confusedly. And his designated Carian stalker tried to hand him a flower that he didn't notice.

"Well, well. You've technically just executed a traitor to the Golden Order-the last, in fact, before it was revised to excise all notion of enmity at all" I said, getting off the ground and dusting myself off. Poise, bitches. "which, in my book, is a fine enough deed for a pardon. And a lordship. Let's head back to Leyndell, demigod. We've wasted enough manpower in this horrible place"

"...I can go HOME?!" babbled Messmer as we left.

"And as for you" I told the dying Miquella, "if, IF I admit we wanted the same thing and simply used different tools to accomplish it...could I interest you in bending the knee, in these troubled times?"

"Hmm...death is inconvenient for my plans..." mused Miquella.

"How about I get an advocate in here?" I said, healing Miquella right as I summoned Melania. "Brother! You'll NEVER believe the Tarnished I met that I foolishly attacked before giving him a chance to actually explain his position!" said Malenia brightly. "I'm SO sorry, I know I should have explained our cause first but you know how I get when worthy opponents are around-"

"Malenia my dear, I also made that mistake before finding out he was already Elden Lord" said Miquella. She deflated.

"So...that job offer..." I hinted.

"Mmm, yes I suppose you want me to honor my word about the Haligtree" said Miquella, with a shrug. "Well. Better to live and scheme another day, I suppose"

And some very confused demigods went home to Leyndell to where Godfrey and Morgott were trying to figure out how the fuck the tax system worked after everything, where Messmer broke down sobbing because Godfrey was very kind to his wife's unwanted son, and where Morgott bluntly reminded Miquella that by becoming part of the Perfect Order meant being unable to influence it as a demigod, to which Miquella laughed like an actual sassy seductress and remained confident he'd be able to seduce Radahn with some other ploy.

(Upon being informed of Miquella's recruitment, Radahn had already filed like 5 restraining orders before boarding the first Carian space colonisation mission-an initiative led by a very disgruntled Ranni trying to subvert the Lands Between with pro-space propaganda now my age was in effect-to the moon. As things happened, he was seated next to Mohg on the Glintstone colony ship, who was travelling with his crack team of therapists to help him recover from being mindraped into a pedophile. And ironically, they quickly became friends over their shared traumatic experiences with malevolent bussy)

Messmer spent the rest of his days as the royal treasurer, since Morgott (who more or less kept his old job) took him under his ring once he realised Messmer's backstory made his own look positively cheery by comparison.

He was also, at great cost, convinced to finally fuck his Carian wife (if only for political purposes) but that is a quest for another time.

Look it's simple, clearly the baby spears miss their momma spear and want to pop out nearer to her to get booped on their spear-snoots. As any spearman can tell you, spears reproduce by dropping spear-spores that can instinctively sense when their parent is doing a special attack twirl that releases spear pheromones.

Every single page enraged me beyond reason. I threw that book against the wall a couple of times and I still fantasize of murdering the author.

Hard to say desu. We really did NOT get much detail on how much you need to sacrifice, and Miquella dropped emotions as well as meat. Pretty critical meat at that, was probably keeping himself alive with his god powers without a fucking heart (assuming that was meant to be literal)

But on the other hand uh, we didn't get much detail from Miyazaki on how the sacrifices even work so-fuck it, maybe? If I had to bet I'd say yeah you should be allowed to sacrifice truly traumatic amounts of meat if you're attached to your precious emotions because technically, Marika's own sacrifice seems to have been a truly stupendous amount of meat.

Do you think bodyparts of True Dragon Lords in Overlord are valuable enough to make divine tier equipment? We do know that dragon body parts are pretty valued in Yggdrasil, with their skin being used for 10th tier scrolls and all their body parts being valuable enough to get Ainz excited about killing the Frost Dragons. But I am not sure if the True Dragon Lords would be just quite that high.

I do have the general plan though for my jumper to capture the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord and put him in a Happy Farm kind of situation where he constantly has skin/blood/limbs/organs removed and is allowed to have his vampire regenration regrow them before it's done again and again.

It is a fully fledged magic system as you don't need a vision to use the elements. It's just a very very handy tool to do so. The creator of Needless tried again to make a new original series, but it only lasted 13 chapters.

It's designed to be deliberately generic. All that matters is that there are these things called Magaimono that either turn people into monsters or increase their magic power but make them evil. An organization called the Black Blades wants the Magaimono to help them rule the world. The main character is the strongest magician ever and wants to destroy the Magaimono and Black Blades. The story rarely gets more complicated than "the plucky sidekick character stumbles upon a Black Blades scheme. The protagonist shows up and effortlessly stomps them". There's an overarching theme of "what if all famous occult phenomena and cryptids were actually caused by magic?" but that's more aesthetic than anything.

>spoiler
In a nice change of pace for Imai Kami, the majority of female characters in this series are adults. However, he draws most of them the exact same way he draws lolis, so make what you will of that.

>>93198882
That's pretty much exactly what I was going for. The thing about this series is that the protagonist has like ten times as much shit going on as any other character. Hell, you could replicate most of the Black Blades with 2-3 purchases each. If you want to be on equal footing with the MC, that's when you'll need to dip into drawbacks.

I don’t recall it ever coming up, but I think I can perceive why you added it in. You came up with the name Messier, but felt like some kind of title was needed, just Messier on its own felt incomplete. After some thought about what would be a good title, you thought of Gleaming Armory, and so settled on Messier of the Gleaming Armory. This could have been influenced by discussion in thread, I know I’ve talked about what kind of weapons you could make in Mortal Heroes with The Gunzosha's Choice.

I know the answer is probably yes but would the T=0 perk give the knowhow on creating a Warmind? It's not as advanced as the Vex so I figure that is should be simple enough when combined with that perk but at the same time so much of the Vex's computing ability is solely rooted in radiolaria that I'm not actually sure.

I'm wanting to make a bunch of super AI from other settings and a Destiny Warmind ranks highly in that and it doesn't look like something that the Cryptarch perks in the Destiny Light jump would allow for that so this is the closest I've figured would work.

Reddit-I know I know, has a generic Isekai jump that can give you a full set of cheat armor that you can fully customize the power of. It can really push the limit of what cheat and invincibility can be, and really fun to just imagine.

Ooooor, you can try getting the best set of Dark Souls (Havel set), Sekiro (pic related), or Elden Ring (Bull-Goat set + Fingerprint Shield)
>>
>>93199169
Aren't there some really good armour sets in the various Souls (or Souls-like) jumps? Otherwise Coiling Dragon lets you get Sovereign Artifact level armour which is pretty much a full stop fuck you I'm invincible armour for anyone who can't use conceptual cultivation attacks, even then it will defend against most of them. There's a plot point in which the only reason a really strong Sovereign could bypass a Sovereign level soul protection ring is that it had been previously damaged in a battle between multiple other Sovereign level cultivators and even then it was only their own familiarity with the item that let them do it. Saint Seiya, either one, also has it's god cloth armour or whatever the fuck it's called which stops animie autism attacks so there's that.

An endless vacation from my mortal concerns, within which I can do things that said concerns prevent me from doing.
>>
>>93199158
Sure.

The Vex approach to engineering/science is totally ass-backwards from the human one. You go to college, get a degree, get a loicense, perform experiments as long as you can secure a grant, and hopefully advance your total knowledge through trial and error. The Vex on the other hand start out with a fuckload of data when newborn from having spread across aspects of reality many species aren't even aware exist, use said data to construct a data simulation complex enough to encompass several-possibly indefinite given enough processing power-universes, and then work on using resources to make things of interest in them tangible somehow. They see no difference between the simulation and reality-one just has to be brute forced to fit the other, and any effort that isn't "make the patterns match" is seen as wasted effort for the Vex at large. Even if there are heretical subsets like the Sol Divisive.

You absolutely have the /data/ needed to build a Warmind, it's just you're probably the only Vex in existence who wants to.

>>93199096
Ah. I see what you mean. On a thematic level I feel for you, but I'm unsure whether that's something I can get away with changing from a balance perspective. We're shown pretty clearly that magic circles are drastically superior to basically every other form of magic casting. I feel like providing twice as much versatility as the canon basis, who is an unprecedented freak of nature in his own right, would just be too busted.

On the other hand that's still a really cool idea and I don't want to be the sole reason you can't act on it.

The AI God council can be unleashed into many settings then, all under the guiding hand of the Human/Vex hybrid of course and kept in line through the threat of temporal erasure.

As a side question do you think it was a bit of a cop-out for Bungie to just copy the Mass Effect Reapers when it came to the black fleet and Witness' justifications? I mean he's basically just the Destiny version of the Catalyst created through a species (Destiny version of Leviathans) complete fuckup.
>>
>>93199414
>>93199350
Adding to this, Vex = better Geth, Cabal = Batarians, Awoken = Asari, the Reef are just the Quarians and so on.
>>
>>93199414
Honestly I thought the copout was more copying the Anti-Spiral from Gurren Lagann in motivation and supposed scope of power, and Chakravartin for it's final form. I guess, from the sheer fanaticism it displays. The Catalyst might be a broken machine whatever the game tries to tell you, but it's a broken machine that just gives up and lets you pick a color if you reach it. And apparently in many years of extinction in Mass Effect, it took humanity to create circumstances so desperate someone could figure out that maybe the big secret was lying inside the Citadel somewhere.

>>93199432
Nah Cabal are more a mix of Turians and Krogan. And with their mass added together.

The Golden Armor from Twilight Princess is literally indestructible. It renders you impervious to all attacks and damage while worn but it drains one rupee (or equivalent native currency) on your person per second of protection. So wearing it all day will cost you 86,400 rupees. Of course a Jumper isn't going to have any issue with wealth or any limit on the amount they can carry on their person so it's pretty much just an invincible set of armor.

Do the twin magic circles have the same general element, same specific spell, or both? Because I think I can make it work thematically, wiggle room just makes it easier. For instance, Keter has nothing to pair it too (as Da'at is considered a separate expression of the same emanation which is why there's 10 Sephirot despite the diagram showing 11), but it's also the furthest physically, thematically, and ontologically from Malkuth, so a pair can be made there. Having separate spells for the two would be ideal, but one spell could be finagled to work for both. For instance, a spell that transforms light and matter into one another works for both depending on how it's being used at the time. Other pairs are more obvious, like Chockma and Binah, which could both be a void/contraction which separates/rarifies things. It can be made to work, wiggle room just makes it easier.

Beyond not intending to usurp Xelor, it could also simply be the nature of how he managed to reverse time (using an artifact rather than his own power) or the fact that he died shortly after. Though whether he died from his efforts or from simply giving up is arguable.
I'm also remembering how good his voice actor was, really caught the manic essence of the character.

It's pretty different from how I was planning to do it. Actual gauntlet and more a focus of rewards than perks. The basic reward (for simply reaching holy mountain) was going to be a holy mountain warehouse attachment that a lot of the other rewards build on. Instead of offering ingame perks separately I was going to just have one option to pick any one you please, purchasable multiple times with increasing cost. For those wanting a longer stint I was planning to offer trial runs, though I'm not sure how exactly I'd have implemented them, and a drawback that forces you to retry until you get a 34 orb ending.

Well, just as I said I would I threw together a jump after watching House of Flying Daggers yesterday. This is the current WIP/version 1. It could technically be considered complete, but I'm not really satisfied with it at all. My biggest dissatisfaction is that there are fewer perks and items than the average jump, but I honestly don't know what else to shove in there. There really wasn't a whole lot to the movie if I'm honest. I am open to feedback and suggestions for improving it. Especially if any of you have seen the film and have recommendations based on specific scenes or feats.
>>
>>93200966
Oh wow I have been looking for a jump set in ancient china where I could pose as an immortal. Though I see your point about the items and perks. Could probably sprinkle in a bit of otherwise generic wuxia type stuff, maybe add a custom martial art style option, maybe a village with different levels of cost so start at small village and move up in price till you have a city. Myself I would like 100 cp perks even if they are just "you are pretty" or "You can find a way to train your skills in any situation" or "you easily gain respect" type things.

Also a buy item for some money, gold in particular. Hell maybe make it so you buy the money enough times and it gets you more gold like how that batman jump does with cash.

Started a new chain where Jumper is pretty based on 40k: grew up as a genius little hive ganger in Necromunda and wound up getting into the PDF then tossed into a newly formed IG regiment. The power of plot armor and a 600CP luck perk makes him survive until he's the Lieutenant. Pondering if I should do the To Take A World scenario or just to head straight to Light of Terra so he can become a Rogue Trader. I wanna get into the politics of this guy stumbling into different Jumps and conquering countries just to keep some half a million people on his Gloriana fed while looking like a tatted up musclebound freak in a monkey suit pretending to be capable of civility.

It's the mental equivalent of when you find a screw lying around. You don't know where it came from and you don't have anywhere to put it, so you just leave it out on the slim chance it'll be useful one day, but it never is.

I had a dumb idea that I probably won't do but I think it would be funny. I'm a Kobold Artificer. I hadn't quite managed to decide what kind of Artificer I wanted to be until I met a strange child from another world who told me about "Mechas" and I realized that my calling in life is to become a kickass mecha pilot.

I don't actually know the plot of this Podcast, but "child escapes and gets rescued by a friendly artificer" seems like something that'd happen pretty easily, and the idea of joining up with the dads in their car, having to strap my Armour to the SUV's Cargo Rack on long trips amuses me. I haven't quite decided if they'll be trying to stick me in a carseat due to my very small size. It'd be adorable, but carseats would be difficult with my tail.

Between my small size and rather energetic and enthusastic nature, I'll likely get lumped in as one of the kids when we eventually rescue them, despite me having been a full adult for twenty five years.

I'm basically going for being an Armourer Artificer, but I'm flavouring it as my tiny adorable self making a 7ft tall mecha to pilot.

An artificer's most fun gimmick is their Infusions. Unfortunately it's a very limited gimmick, capping out with them knowing twelve infusions and being able to use six of them at a time. I really really want more of them.

There's probably better ways to get them than stat resets, but I also really like the idea of starting new jumps from level 1 but with a few infusions

I'm going to spend my first few years teaching the locals how to be proper artificers before I can set off to be an adventurer. Teaching a brand new job and method of crafting SHOULD result in me making enough money that I technically wouldn't need to keep adventuring.

Akira is a classic. Just don't watch the movie. It condenses WAY too fucking much and doesn't do any of it justice.

Gunsmith Cats and Dirty Pair are great if you want girls with guns.

Battle Angle Alita is a must read as well. Though technically it came out in 1990, it still reads a lot like an 80s manga. I wouldn't worry about Last Order though. That's when shit goes way too off the rails.
>>
>>93201960
well, it was set in the late 80s before video games became popular and was all about martial arts and fighting. But one could say that Ranma being on a quest to become a man and stop his girl curse is some type of hate speech nowadays.

NTA, but we already have a jump for that. It's called Gunnm. It also cuts off before Last Order, so I'd much prefer someone just read the manga and make a new jump for the original series and last Order.

yah, his curse is a real curse, but the people that like to shout and yell for no reason claim he is a brave tranny. Even the author came out against these people and said Ranma's entire story is about a boy teting to break his curse to earn his manhood and had nothing to do with what later generations might think. Just straight up becoming the manliest man to ever man... or his mom will murder him.
>>
>>93202082
Nope.
>>
>>93201951
nta but as mentioned gunsmith cats, dominion tank police and patlabor are all good. There's also Iria the animation (though iirc it's fairly short), Record of Lodoss War & Chronicles of the Heroic Knight (they're the same series), Robotech (which was actually three different series mashed together, iirc macross, mospeda and southern cross), detective conan, Lupin the 3rd is also good, especially the castle of cagliostro movie (though I think someone made a basically complete WIP of that? I don't see it on the drives though).
>>
>>93202142 (also me)
I'd also rcommend watching Escaflowne. We already have a jump for it (two, actually) but it's still a really great series in general. Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura are good if you don't mind magical girl stuff, and if you do watch Cardcaptor Sakura you may as well watch Magic Knights Rayearth and the other CLAMP series since iirc they're all in a connected multiverse.

I'll be honest, I'm just going through all the D&D 5e jumps. Child of the Trickster IS a pretty fun perk though, especially since Artificers ARE spellcasters. I probably actually should've visited this jump first, since it actually outright offers an Artificer's Infusion feature as an actual perk.

Hey weird question but does this sound alright to you anons? Trying to get used to the wording of options in a Jump and want to check. Wanted to see if this sounds rambling to anyone else.

School Days:+100
Good news and bad news Jumper. The good news if you ever wanted a true second shot at life you've got it now. The bad news is this takes the form of you entering this world as a Mortal infant stripped of any outside powers. Your grow up born to a family appropriate to your background. Dynasts to one of the realms Dynasty's. And ones associated with Lookshy to a Gente. If you're a outcaste feel free to come up with some non realm and Lookshy parentage as you wish. Drop ins will find themselves adopted though feel free to have the adoptees be from anywhere.
You're guaranteed a fairly safe childhood regardless of origin though at least by creation standards and exalt some time between the ages of 12 and 15. With you're out of Jumper abilities slowly returning after as well. Though this isn't extremely dangerous keep in mind Life as a Young potential Dragonblooded Scion is quite strict and precious little freedom if you're growing up in the Realm or Lookshy.

The "Who Cares About Love Potions?" perk from Slimy Sextet to make mind control as valid as the natural route to building up the relationship and qualifying for the master-servant vow. Lewd magic isekai, hypno app fantasia, mind control university, camp petal (angel academy supplement to attend while staying male). Planning to hit most of the magic options before moving on to either non-magic qq jumps or back to jc. As for powersets thinking just getting the contract off the bat and picking up the local magic on the go since its mostly evocation blasts. Considering the spirit magic option plus gauntlet to build up spell boosters and more varied options or effects. From the looks of it most of the contracts are one sided due to a lack of power to leverage in negotiations.

Hero since most of what the build is going for comes out of it in discounts. Sleep It Off is great as a fallback when everything else fails and you have time to rest. The only perk in the Outsider tree that draws my interest compared to the other two choices. I get where you're coming from since it is magic and lewd magic isekai makes it possible to change the details of how it works with effort. Getting it out of the gate saves the time and effort needed to do that while preventing jumper from having to roll episode 1 protag's group for their magical knowledge. Abyss is more in consideration of a corruption combo down the line. World of Lewd Fantasy lets you cherry pick how your corruption works based on what combinations of it you use, and abyss works great as a poision and/or means to just sneak it into spells or attacks.
>>

As much as I hate to say it Solo leveling is good for that. Unless you run into someone who can destroy souls you'd get an army of immortal undead ghosts. There's also the fact that their regen is tied to your MP but that's pretty much a non issue if you have a big MP pool.

Not really, Dragonblooded have a tough time reaching Essence 7 and even a number of Lunar elders don’t have Appearance 7.
>>
>>93203632
Maybe. Only considering Utea to see how strong a magical reactor can be made using what you can get from qq jumps. Thinking of using perk sharing to give the world end queen perk in Utea to every member of the thousands strong harem then having them use the fusion dance perk that multiplies power twice over for each participant. Thousands of magical nuclear reactors fused into one while using various jumps worth of options to turn it all into a magical ritual to push it even further. I don't have a purpose or need for it but it seemed an amusing and convenient way to manage a harem that was spiraling into ever greater numbers. Fuse them all into a super waifu.
>>

>Only considering Utea to see how strong a magical reactor can be made using what you can get from qq jumps.
The real question is, what does a magical reactor made using what you can get from QQ jumps run on?
>>
>>93203954
Solars dont make god kids in the way your probably thinking. But if they have kids as solar the kids whats called a "Half caste" which is basically a mortal with the ability to use a number of limited solar charms. Though less well then there parent iirc.
>>
>>93203924
Sounds awesome. Also the magical nuclear reactor sounds like a hoot.

So, what is your plan of attack for Utea? Scry and Die the BBEG as soon as you hit the ground, or do you let him live for a bit, give him the hope he might have a chance before you rip him a new one?

Also from what I got reading your comment, you going magical girl?

Obligatory, do you take the make more magical girls item, and the cast.
>>
>>93203954
Solar kids after a certain essence level are half caste, they can use Solar charms to a limited extent and if they apotheosize it's as a minor sun god akin to if they were a godblooded of Conky.
>>
>>93203954
Solars make half caste kids, they can use a certain medicine charm to birth disease gods though.
>>
>>93203965
So after a point they just make shit solars? So it's not like dragonblooded where Half castes can make other half castes right which is where I see the whole sterile thing?
>>
>>93203982
So after a point their kids are Shitty knockoff solars who can become minor gods if lucky.

>>93203994

Two, I would like to say no definitively with it alone because you are technically still part of the game even if you are a major piece but this is a setting written by Bungo we're talking about, despite the cope in these threads the game itself repeatedly. Specifically. Goes out of it's way to state that the Witness is very much hurting and mutilating the Traveller. And the Final Shape would have theoretically rendered further conflict in the universe moot, including presumably from the Traveller and Veil. And you can't even say this is something isolated to the Witness being immersed in the Darkness because there was AT LEAST one species capable of beating up the Witness so hard it ran away to it's version of a Throne World and was chased there.

So my answer is still a tentative "No and use your imagination/perks/powers from other jumps instead of jerking yourself off with one perk that is notionally supposed to be at least somewhat comparable to the others in the jump, in the sense that the Ichigo potential perk in Bleach is supposed to be comparable with the other capstones" but also I cannot be held liable for Bungo making terrible, impulsive decisions.

>>93204320
Oh. The implicit answer is grow bigger and stronger over time; Runes are ultimately spiritual energy of a sort even if they're not technically Dark Souls-souls, and some characters are just beeg with no particular reason while others like the bears have dragon bits that can be looted from their corpse. So the impression I get is that even if you're maidenless you can still get generically swole and develop minor attributes from what you kill over time.

Just, presumably much longer than it took the PC Tarnished to kill his way to the top.
>>
>>93204295
No, because "surpassing" the Winnower is a nonsense statement. Just by participating in something like growing your powerlevel over time or adapting to threats or becoming a God by consuming and supplanting other gods or anything else you do across the chain, you are engaging in what the Winnower is. The very nature of Jumpchain is a microcosm of the Winnower's philosophy of "exist, lest you cease to exist".
>>
>>93204358
>despite the cope in these threads the game itself repeatedly. Specifically. Goes out of it's way to state that the Witness is very much hurting and mutilating the Traveller.
We are also told the Travlee is heavily, heavily diminished and not at all representative of what the Gardener is/was, in several dozen lorecards no less. I wouldn't treat it nor the Veil as representatives of the G/W. They are game pieces.

>And the Final Shape would have theoretically rendered further conflict in the universe moot, including presumably from the Traveller and Veil.
That would just be proving the Winnower correct. It even seems to hint as much in Nacre when all is said and done. The only thing the Winnower seeks is to prove that it is and always has been, correct as to the Final Shape being an inevitability.

Counterpoint: In a fictional setting the stated powers and capabilities of cosmic constants is only as consistent as the author, and in a franchise where the author is part of a dev team that a bunch of corpo suit times has a stranglehold over and resents this, it's unwise to bet on cosmic absolutes when MCUslop-tier events sell better.

The Chaos Gods are a piss-poor example because they're actual beings. People have been able to harm or wound them in lasting permanent ways since their inception and that's been a constant even into 40k, where Godblight had the Emperor permanently wound Nurgle and the End & The Death had the Emperor murder Horus so hard the Chaos Gods reeled in anguish and pain. Not even mentioning AOS establishing you can outright murder them and their Bigger versions for good.

The Winnower is not a being. It is a simple philosophy. Survival of the fittest, exist to ensure you can continue to exist, and everything that stems from that philosophy. To "fight" or "overpower" the Winnower is a nonsense statement because it's saying you are fighting and overpowering fighting and overpowering something. And on top of being nonsense and not doing anything, it also proves the Winnower correct which is all it cares about.
>>
>>93204372
>heavily, heavily diminished
I'm taking the fact that it CAN be diminished that much and the Witness is currently being presented as the primary cause of that diminishment into consideration, yes. At the very low end of estimation it is still trouncing the will of a cosmic being at every turn despite being formerly mortal. To the extent of Bungo very hamfistedly separating the Witness and the Winnower but also making the Witness the first knife.

>That would just be proving the Winnower correct
On paper, yes. But a lot of things that would make sense "on paper" have gone awry already in the franchise, like Riven having a boyfriend retconned into her backstory to make her seem more sympathetic to an idiot.

>>93204397
>can't simulate paracausality
Clarification: Vex can do things like create the Black Heart (with a little help from the Witness), upgrade themselves with Light or Darkness, or as more recently confirmed Saint-14 is actually a Vex simulation that can only continue to function as a Guardian because of the Light, and the real Saint-14 is still dead

They cannot however model all paracausality with 100% accuracy across an arbitrary number of universes and timelines, and this is what makes them just freak out and give up on zerg rushing the universe, and continue staying in their little vex-universities poking their little Darkness experiments and hoping it results in more|better|supreme Vex.

>the Vex are the Gohans of the darkness
Well...they are literally a species of scholars that prefer to hold back their full potential and study all day in a small dark room.

>I'm taking the fact that it CAN be diminished that much and the Witness is currently being presented as the primary cause of that diminishment into consideration, yes.
As far as we know, the game pieces of the Gardener and Winnower aren't indestructible, just arbitrarily powerful to a level that basically nothing not on the tier of the Witness can reliably do anything to them. And with the Witness, we also need to consider it was personally forged by the darkness of the Veil, which has basically been confirmed to be the Winnower's equivalent of the Traveler so who knows what kind of fucked up powerboost being shaped into the First Knife gave it.

>On paper, yes. But a lot of things that would make sense "on paper" have gone awry already in the franchise, like Riven having a boyfriend retconned into her backstory to make her seem more sympathetic to an idiot.
If we're factoring in potential nuBungie retardation, then nothing matters because for all we know they could pull a Shadowlands and totally retcon everything whenever they want. >>
>>93204419
That is true yeah. Taking Unveiling at face value the Darkness is just a "rule" that exists "in parallel" to the physics of the universe but the actual essence of the Winnower is just the mathematical dynamic of things being rewarded for behaving selfishly, simplifying all possibilities to a fixed outcome, and eventually defying entropy by overwhelming the chance for anything else to happen without their consent. In the sense that it is not canon you can use the Darkness for benevolent purposes the Gardener would approve of, using Darkness against other Darkness users does not contradict the Winnower's philosophy; in fact it's arguably an even purer expression of it than using Light to fight Darkness.

It would have more relative influence over reality if there were stronger Darkness guys, especially those that just go up to the Veil and fuck around with it. But even if every trace of Darkness was scrubbed it'd probably still be fine, just existing as the background drive for evolutionary competition than a spooky black miasma.

Fair enough. It did seem like SOMEONE on the team realised how controversially the Witness' existence and the "Unveiling is apocrypha" was taken, and went out of their way to affirm the old lore's relevance so there's that.

>not on the tier of the Witness
Which really, REALLY makes me wonder about the species that sent the Witness running and presumably could've killed it. Yes we both know it's an Unveiling reference but the fact that something could actually accomplish that presumably WITHOUT the Traveller standing and fighting makes one wonder if the First Knife is really that dominant across the universe as whole when not clamped onto the Traveller.

Initially the lore presented her as having willingly bargained with Oryx, gotten along with the guy, and once he was dead angled herself in a position to take over the other Taken.

Then the new lore that introduced her sweetheart boyfriend claimed Riven was actually corrupted and hijacked by Oryx's primary traits while she was Taken, and being purified made her come back to her senses and horrified her about what she did while under the influence (which ironically, included being horrified by whatever Savathun was planning at the time. Which is now know to be becoming the first Hive Guardian).

So ironically Bungo made Riven less of a girlboss to create an excuse for her to become a helper NPC

Pretty much, yeah. Sometime after the beach episode he hears about Messier hanging out and living it large and decides that since she's doing so well for herself obviously she won't mind helping him out with something. And hey, it's not even like she has to lose the girls - most men with that much power appreciate them two or three at a time.

He just doesn't realize this is a horrible idea and goes right on about making it happen. Which leads to a brief story arc about having to defend Gem without Messier, which goes terribly, and then about having to 'rescue' her from her dad.

Admittedly this probably takes place in like, year eight of the jump, and I'm still in the first few months.
>>
>>93204504
1. Some scifi settings are way, way weirder than anything in fantasy where at least the mythological beings tend towards an anthropological slant

2. Strictly speaking? It doesn't. The Pyramids turned out to be the Witness' fleet, and new lore heavily implies the Traveller is just a Very Big Ghost created by the Gardener to either house itself or embody it's tangible influence in the universe. So like the Light has the Traveller to actually do stuff, the Darkness has the big space turnip as it's mouse cursor in the universe (even though the Winnower doesn't actually like to do stuff and just leaves it there until someone talks to it and starts getting bad vibes and wanting to turn themselves/everyone into a hivemind and/or take over the universe because it increasingly makes sense to)

It's the philosophical dynamic that things behave selfishly and for their own self-benefit and survival. When you eat any amount of food, that's the Winnower. When you step on grass and kill possible quintillions of microorganisms that inhabited it, that's the Winnower. When you kill anyone in a videogame/funny imagination game and get a spike of dopamine, that's the Winnower. When an entire forest gets bulldozed to make room for a new urban center, that's the Winnower.
