Art with a magepunk/magitek style. Post-apocalyptic fantasy art is alright too.

Just about everything Eberron fits
Cyberpunk mages is such a cool aesthetic
>>94051978Every magico-technological device is a black mirror.
>>94056186The underside of her hat looks like a missing texture pattern and I love it.
>>94056342>neat tech weapons and tools>compact bag for form and function>detailed cowl and jacket>fashionable leggings/pants>normal ass sneakersI fucking hate when people this shit. It's not quite as bad as Kingdom Hearts clown shoes, but it's on a similar level.
>>94051978Do robots that are also mages count?
>>94076683Automatons aren't typically shown to be magically savvy. Magic is "natural," robots are "artificial," so they don't really intersect.
>>94076683They absolutely count! Moar!>>94079259This isn't true at all in many settings. It is cooler if it isn't, anyway.
>>94071199nice dubs tacticool jordans are essential for peak performance though
>>94071199You wouldn't be able to tell it's a modern character if she didn't have sneakers on.
>>94079269Alright, have these guys then!
>>94076683Screen Eyed robots will always be the superior robot design
>>94085917What makes you say that?
>>94092257
>>94079259Magic(k) isn't natural i.r.l. either.
>>94079259>Automatons aren't typically shown to be magically savvy. Magic is "natural," robots are "artificial," so they don't really intersect.I was home brewing and wanted a way around that. I came up with the idea of the "Automatons" being a organic mass that integrates with a robot body. Some on /tg/ would say that's something else entirely but all I wanted was a foil to bestman without being to scifi.
>>94079259magic is usually not considered natural, just a different form of unnatural than technology
>>94051978Cyborg mages, we need more of them. Here, I’ll start.
>>94102939
>>94071199>>normal ass sneakers>I fucking hate when people this shit. It's not quite as bad as Kingdom Hearts clown shoes, but it's on a similar level.Actually that is surprising realistic. I have a number of pairs of waterproof hard-toed "tactical" and hiking boots that are easy to mistake as high top sneakers.
Have a cyber lich.
>>94103492Realism isn't the problem.Sneakers look fucking stupid is the problem.

Very nice... this thread gives me some ideas for my techno-wizard im working on.
>>94132212I would love to hear those ideas please!
Magitech pistol
>>94124758Looks a bit more cyberpunk than magitech, but I still like it.
>>94139684Oh boy, if you want to go that way the Thread theme isn't well defined.Magitech mean magic used along non-magical technologies, it's a mostly aesthetic trope. But the suffix "-punk" did not arise to mean setting with funky technologies, the Prefix gave the theme for the setting, the Punk meant it was going to be oppressing / going haywire and the story about main characters living in such setting.Magepunk for instance could mean a setting where magic is not rare but omnipresent and the system is ruled by castes of mages. This without any technology whatsoever. In fact, if there's something threatening the system, it should remain mage-centric.
>>94137315I have never been more sure of something with less evidence than I am of the fact that this artist draws niche fetish porn
magitech elf sniper
>>94051978Wait... how is this thread still up 13 days later?
>>94158535>cyan-white contrastWas this made by someone color-blind?
>>94051978Seems like an untapped creative market. Not neccesarily monetary.I see TONS of images like that on /slop/ and other places where people post AI art, while non AI art in this setting (generic fantasy meets modern or slightly sci fi) is incredibly rare.It seems like theres an interrest
>>94051978mixing cyberpunk with fantasy is like, something that seems interesting, but i have yet to find anything that does it well, that really intrigues me and makes me want to invest a ton into it.
>>94052030>BACKBLAST AREA CLEAR!?
>>94161467Autosage was revoked.
>>94161467>>94163803More specifically, the one-week autosage timer was lifted fairly recently. A thread should still hit autosage at 310 posts, unless that was also changed.
>>94163803>>94164481Why the fuck would anyone remove one of the few good things that happened to /tg/ since gook moot took over?!
>>94167137The timer was introduced mostly to combat bumpfag, who would constantly necrobump his filler setting threads with his meandering questions. It appears he has fucked off, so they lifted the timer.

>>94051978Techno-fairy is peak aesthetic and now I wish I had people to play Shadowrun with
>>94172539Lucky for you, the Shadowrun general is back.>>94093655
>>94167357I prefer this kind
>>94173039
>>94173046
>>94173039>>94173046>>94173052Does this count as Weird War?
Okay, which one do you prefer?>Magepunk setting where magic is commonplace leading to magitech utopias and standardized magic equipmentOR>Futuristic society where magic isn't even acknowledged by the masses, but occult practitioners have access to high tech and modify it, leading to heavy DIY sentiment and aesthetic
>>94179248i hope you're aware the second one is star wars, star trek, and a whole bunch of other "sci-fi"
>>94079259There is some manga/anime like Strait Jacket where magic is just untapped form of science, and when it was brought into the world, it was used through machines and special tools, rather than coming from inside the bodies. Like a gun in whose barrel they are magic runes, and a rail with a crystal activates them similar to putting in a bullet. It's pretty neat. Here is the full anime on youtube. Based on a manga.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5IXvh53XZM
>>94167146>It appears he has fucked offHe hasn't, though.
>>94179616I was thinking more something like a "magepunk" concept.I dunno, something like "Hellblazer/Mage the Ascension" deal.
>>94191826nice pokeballs
>>94163096>>94162934The shitbrew setting I'm working on aspires to this. I'm hoping to publish it in 3-5 years.>fantasy future world with realistic physics and economics>magic warp drive jammers, a few space colonies>space Vietnam against the Lizardmen of Venus a couple centuries ago>six-limbed Martians colonizing the oceans and fighting invasive Sahaughin>baronial corporations that do horrendous shit while inspiring fanatical worker-serfs>guns but largely why bother when Shield, magic pumped lasers and wands of magic missile are common>a province rebelling against the major empire because they want to mix lead into their silver coins>multiple, competing types of magic>cultural trends include projecting idealized avatars over yourself
>>94193506actually disgusting
>>94192737Sounds fun. I'd like to try it out someday.
