Reposting army building graphics for anyone that missed them. Here's a helpful guide to plan your forces for N5 from either the JSA...
>>94348475... Or the mighty KCF. Not all the profiles have been shown for the beyond box, but I'll make more of these if the info becomes available and they're a help to anyone.
>>94348096Thank you for the effortpic on the OP anon.
>>94348537>senpai noticed me My pleasure. I am excited for N5. The Shinju conflict is very interesting and serves as an excellent theater for black ops in the human sphere.
>>94348548So we had Sandtrap this month, beyond next month. How long until the next announcements? Do they cool off at the beginning of the year and save stuff for gencon?
>>94349311It used to be Operation at Adepticon, book at GenCon. Maybe we'll get a second Warcrow starter so that it's not just a two-faction game, or at least the app so people can use their Warcrow Adventures minis in the wargame since that's meant to be fully shipped to the customers by mid-December.
>>94349378Fascinating. I would honestly consider warcrow if they showed off some alternative factions already. I think they're slow rolling it as a safe option, but they need to be bold IMO.
WHEN WILL WE GET THE UNIT INFO FOR THE SECTORIAL ARMIES?I am still caught between selling my OperationS SubSection or Imperial Service...Pic unrelated
>>94349720Probably day of the update. I can't imagine they're going to going to make a video detailing the dozen-plus sectorials they've yet to cover when we're like 10 days away from the launch anyway.
Nice paintjob. Gorgeous execution.
JSA freehand so strong it's making me wonder how I can pull this off.
Haqqislam chads keep winning
>>94348096They better improve the Boyg to be on par with these guys.
>>94350322Leg day all-time-attendant deserves better, I agree. I still plan to play Winterfor, but Kestrel has the juice.
>>94349400To make matters worse, all six starters already exist, because they're used for photos in the Warcrow book. They could have released the game with all six playable.
>>94350204What's your favorite unit?
>>94348096Looks like a weebified Ultramarine.
>>94350444Care to use your own descriptive? Saying something is X but Y isn't really critique.
>>94350482>pauldrons>backpack with downward-facing vents at the shoulders>blue armor with yellow highlightsUltramarine>slender armor>smaller plates to give the impression of mobility>imaging system in helmet rather than eye holesWeebifiedDo you need any other enormously obvious thing explained to you?
>>94350501
>>94350501You've done a fine job of observing. Thanks for clarifying.I can say that the top half is purely incidental; 40k didn't invent these. The second part is mostly true, because the game is inspired by manga/anime aesthetics. That said I get why you relate them to space marines. Would you like to see what a real space marine proxy looks like in this setting? These are shameless engineered to court 40k enjoyers.
>>94350444I know and I love it
>>94350791I understand how things share common DNA design wise, but this honestly kicks the living shit out of space marines.>Not entirely made of rounded, boring surfaces >multiple materials incorporated into the design to offer varied surfaces to paint>there's use of color that isn't just on-the-nose iconography >You can tell there's a person under that armor because it contours to biological shapes>synthetic musculature actually communicates augmented strength more than just girthy paldrons>the supportive arm has control nodes that help adjust firing which is also reflected in the unit's stats >protective leather elements are featured but not overstated, communicating this suit is designed for a harsh environsI rather paint this than any old primaris. You have to master volumetric lighting to make them look good, but all of these details don't need this crutch to be visually appealing.
Do Armbots/Dronbots/Mulebots have the same base size? I don't know if I should be getting more than one of these boxes and would rather just proxy if I can.
>>94351116Are you unfamiliar with the Silhouette values? Dronbots are all S3, Mulebots & Armbots are S4.
>>94351143Yeah, I just wasn't aware of the values and didn't know where to look. Thank you.
When did units start getting marked with the armies they're available in?
>>94351145Also, most of the S4 will fit into S3 and all the S3 will fit into S4.
I only have an old peacekeeper & aux at present. Should I prioritize a Mule over a Dron or the opposite for my next pickup?
>>94351217It's quite common to proxy remotes, but either way I'd say a Dronbot. Fugazi are in most lists simply because they are a cheap order, and you already have one S4 remote. Pathfinders are also quite common since they're a fast specialist.
>>94350365They probably don't want to anger the KS subscribers, who already paid for those minis.
>>94351869The only faction that could apply to is the Scions of Yaldabaoth. The WCA heroes do appear in the photos, but haven't been added to any of the starters.
>>94350390This is not SG Asawira butt. I pray that anon gets his wish.
>>94351210The silhoette values only differ in height so s4 minis better fit on the same base...
>>94352176I think you need to check the silhouette definitions again. S3 is 40mm, S4 is 55mm.
>>94352182Yeah, sorry. I had just woken up and remembered it the complete wrong way around since they are the same height.
>>94351263I have noticed people use Fuzzbots in practically all factions; good model and highly available. Was aware it might not have really mattered but wondered if there was one I'll simply use more of. I probably need at least one more remote to round out my PanOptions. Was waiting for more n5 news since I'm pretty sure mulebot is ancient like my peacekeeper and was holding out hope for an updated design. I do sorta like the tusked model though.
>>94351148Never saw that before. Maybe they are testing new Army functionalities.
>>94352041the Asawira was a nice little OG human sphere surprise and adding the BSG+Doc profile in... N2? made me hope for a new model at some point since it was a cool toolkit for an aggressive light HI.Then the updated spitfire came out with the same cool design and I've been continuing to wait. I'll get a new Asawira model to pair with it eventually. I do have the old Ahl Fasid but I'd like a proper model with the hip fins and new HI size. With a huge ass, obviously.
>>94352868You did add Asawira shoulder/thigh plates to your Half-Assed, anon? Conversion is the sacrifice that the release gods demand.
>>94350501>blue armor with yellow highlightsDamn, can't believe Games Workshop invented this color combo..........
I'm reading the nomad sourcebook and it mentions that while corregidorans don't like animals for the most part due to a lack of space they do keep spiders around. This makes them giving the marspiders to just Bakunin even more baffling. Zero-G engineers themed after corregidors mascot animal? Only for Bakunin, of course.
>>94352889I have the parts for it and the spare plates from the old Asawira fit snug on the left leg, however the pistol holster gets in the way on the other side and I didn't want to shave it down or run asymmetrical. guess I could look up what one of them runs on the secondary market now
>>94350501>slender armor is weebs>smaller plates (is a redundancy) is weebs>visors is weebs
Can you get the Microarts Command Panel holster anymore or was that purely kickstarter exclusive? They don't seem to be selling them anywhere.
>>94353104>The Hidden Fortress was the fourth highest-grossing film of the year in Japan, and Kurosawa's most successful film up to that point. It was a significant influence on the 1977 American film Star Wars.checkmate, Mandalorian.
>>94353272>le influence = TOTAL HECKIN WEEBSH*TYou REALLY don't want to go down that road with fordeekay.
>>94353300>You REALLY don't want to go down that road with fordeekay. Why? It's not like I care about it or its reputation.
I'm thinking of converting a bearpode into a possumpode but got to wondering: how are the conversion rules in infinity? I know proxies are okay as long as you use CB minis but can you convert those minis with 3rd party bits? I guess I could always magnetize the head to be swappable if it could be a problem in an its event.
>>94353676I can't remember where I read it but I saw an articles that said the conversion requirements are something like 60% original parts, or a little more than half. I'm not sure if anyone else can back that up or not. Make a possum-pode but convert the hammer into something more interesting, please.
>>94353712by original parts I mean CB stuffSome else's conversion of a 'pode has GW parts. I don't think it was illegal for them to do so.
>>94353712Sounds reasonable. Any suggestions? I agree that the trench hammers are quite overdone but I can't think of anything nice to replace it with. Especially anything that would still be a good representation of the rules so that there's no confusion.>>94353734Yeah, and I don't think Infinity is the kind of hobby where TO's necessarily are just looking for reasons to kick people out for no good reason, the more than half seems to be a good rule of thumb.
Interested in starting to collect and build a team, already looked through the faq. What is a ballpark for startup cost for Infinity? ~$300US? Rulebooks, a full team, etc. included
>>94353855$300 should be enough to get you a full force with some options.
>>94353768>I agree that the trench hammers are quite overdone but I can't think of anything nice to replace it with. Especially anything that would still be a good representation of the rules so that there's no confusion.Oversized brass knuckles with a mine fitted on them.
>>94353855The rules are free. I would say around ~€150, plus terrain.
Well Oppossums are wandering, nocturnal, posses a scary maw that they display as a form of aggression and they're cleanfreaks. Night vision goggles on a trooper helmet, snarling face, model some rope and a grappling hook, smooth out the hands and feet and maybe add some poofy neck folds?I'm going to throw weapon ideas out there you could work with for inspiration:Pilebunker A rocket-propelled PickaxeRockbusting Drill Knife (large) with Spiked-Knuckles comboSet of power knuckles That's where I would start. Make the Oppossum of your dreams.
>>94353676Conversions are ok and even appreciated. Just use a CB model as the starting point.
>>94353855Depends on a lot of factors. The rules are free online, the action packs are a good starting point (~10 models for around 80 dollars) and if you add a few packs like the remotes (the robots) and some stuff to flesh it out you can get full 300p army for 150-200 dollars. The real cost of infinity is in terrain but if you know a game store or similar where you can play that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Even if you don't need your own terrain the official cardboard terrain sets have token sheets in them with most of the necessary tokens and all of the necessary templates. So I'd say it depends a lot but 200-300 dollars will probably get you pretty well on track.
>>94353855>>94353884Also physical rulebooks are thing of the past, the new edition doesn't even come with one, just the fluff book.
>>94353889>freeHoly fuck GW has brainwashed me, huh>>94353884>>94353909Awesome. 40k is my main game, but I thought Infinity might be more fun than KT. Love some of the models. Planning to pick up some to paint even if I don't play. This is a random question, but does Infinity have any presence in Japan? I'm moving back soon and I have a cafe where we have board game/table top nights. I'm thinking of painting up a few teams/small armies of different games to have ready for people who are interested in trying out war games and am considering the same for infinity.
>>94353916I know there is a community in Tokyo:https://www.impetuousorder.com/I'd try to contact them or see on the IGC if they have a dedicated facebook or discord group.
>>94353964Thanks anon, will definitely reach out
>>94354000No problem :) welcome to the game and feel free to ask here if you need any help.
>>94353855Rules are free. Like actually 100% free, not just “it can be found online” style of free.Armies vary, because in a lot of cases you can’t buy singles of just the units you want, they only come in packs. Most of the time this isn’t bad and gives you some list-building flexibility (e.g. I have to buy the Tomcat pack even if I only want to field the Doc, but the Engie, ML, and Remote that also come in the pack may be useful later on) or is just efficient (buying an Action Pack nets me a Kriza plus a scattering of other useful units I also want), but sometimes it’s really annoying (I need to buy the Cheerkillers pack just to get the cute ML Grenzer that’s included). Add to that how proxy friendly this game can be and army costs can range from $150 to over $250. $350+ is the range where you’re looking at getting most models in your faction, which you may want eventually for expanded list-building options, but is far from necessary. The real kicker, though, is terrain. Infinity is a very terrain-focused game, with a lot of LoS-blocking and verticality built into the ruleset and assumed for when balancing. If you already have a local scene with a bunch of players, you probably don’t need to worry about terrain right now (though you should probably contribute some of your own to the communal pool eventually). Ditto for if you’re playing kitchen table games with friends and don’t mind using cans, books, and other improvised terrain. Scratch-built terrain is also popular and quite cheap to produce (especially if your library or community center has a 3D printer you can use to make random gubbinz). More professional terrain kits, even the unpainted MDF poke-out-and-assemble-yourself style, can cost a pretty penny though. Getting enough to cover a full-size 4’x4’ table can easily cost more than your army.
>>94353887Pretty good, noted>>94353890The bearpode has climbing plus already and I doubt a nocturnal animal would need NV goggles. The weapon suggestions are great though, thanks. I especially like the rocket powered pickaxe, that should be fairly easy to do too.Just flip the head over and rmove some of the "charges" from the front. I also remembered I have some 30 minutes missions model kit option parts in my bin. I'm quite liking the idea of giving the pode this bootleg heathawk but it might be too big. Will check once the polaris team arrives next week.>>94353907Cool. i've been getting back into infinity and feel interested in stuff I didn't care about before so it's nice that it's not looked down upon by the rules.>>94353916I remember someone asking the same thing way before and somebody found some website made by a japanese boardgaming club. I'd imagine there definitely are some communities over there as well, especially since australia/oceania are pretty big into infinity. Probably less than in us/europe though.
>>94354008Noted on terrain. Planning to setup a new resin printer once we move back
>>94354010My question to you is, why would merlots need frog gear? It is doubling down on the theme, and it looks cool. Do a rope, don't do a rope. It's something an oppossum would use to be sneaky and scale buildings with. If all you change is the head and tail that's not quite as interesting as I had imagined.
>>94354068and forgot my image.
>>94353855>Rulebookshttps://infinityuniverse.com/resources/infinity
>>94354068I just spent the whole day reading the rpg books so I have a explanation for that, actually. Helots change mood very drastically. The diving gear is supposed to keep their head cool and prevent them from sperging out. That's why the libertos don't use them. Opossums are great climbers because of their nimble feet and friction pads. I was also thinking of sculpting the feet a little to make them more possumlike. Overall I'm trying to keep it simple because I have almost no experience with conversions. I just like possums and think the bearpode is boring because there's just one sculpt. But then again a bundle of rope would probably be pretty easy to make out of green stuff. But it will be easier to think of things to add and change oncce I have it in person.
>>94354123*change very drastically based on water pressure. That's kinda important to the context, my bad
>>94354123That's fair. Good luck.Mix 1 to 1 Greenstuff and miliput. You can sculpt it easily and it's sand-able. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTB9w0h0VF8It claims sculpting fur details can be easier with straight greenstuff however. I'd build that on top of the other if need be.
Unfortunately, Anaconda ended up noticeably worse than Scarface and failed attempt at weathering only added salt to the wound. This however concludes my TAGs waiting in line so I can do normal minis instead now (kinda, there is still Szalamandra and Zeta Unit in their respective Collection Packs but I'm not going to open them yet).
>>94354234>attempt at weathering only added salt to the woundheh
>>94354234Looks OK m8. I think you're on to something. Just gotta muscle through. Do you enjoy painting smaller minis more?
>>94354255I don't know if I enjoy painting at all since each time I paint something, I feel it turned out awful.
>>94354273I'd seriously suggest a fun side project where you just slap paint on something and you don't have to live to any standard since it's just for fun. Get creative. Try weird layering just to learn something new.
>>94354234I think it looks pretty good.
>>94354123Weird fucking dog.
>>94354484It's very intelligent, it can even quote Werner Herzog
>>94348096i hate Pano retarded reverse curved weapom magazines. These things ruin entire facion aesthetics for me.
>>94354650Don't worry, PanO will continue to feel the best even without you.
>>94354234My first time trying weathering was on this same model. It looks decent, anon! Keep trying, keep learning!(Can't find the original pic, only this shitty montage so I could show my normie friends how I done it)
>>94354650It's inspired by something that is very old, anon.

>>94350390How does this Azrail comparison with the HMG version with the shield? I can't find comparison pics anywhere
Why do tag-mounted chain rifles like seen on the geckos and the gators have the twin magazines? Looks weird and cumbersome. Couldn't you just have them go perpendicular to the arm?
I went to look at the old its packs and on one of the sticker sheets next to the finals winner sticker was one for "wooden spoon". There's also an actual one in the newest one. Does anybody know why?
>>94356272Wooden spoon is last place in a competition.
>>94356319So a consolation prize? Kinda funny as a concept.
>>94356272Genuinely curious to know where you're from to not have heard of a wooden spoon
>>94356451I've only played with a friend thus far, only recently found the local club and didn't have it in me to go to the club yet since I am a bit shy. Hoping to start playing more with N5.
>>94356491I meant which country
>>94356497Finland. I'm just saying that I wouldn't know if it's a thing here too since I've never been to an event (yet).
>>94356503I'm saying it's not an Infinity thing. Anytime someone comes last in something, they win the wooden spoon. My favourite footy team wins the wooden spoon every year.

>>94361997It's mostly non kazak units but okay
>>94362054I mean no wonder they are easily the most boring and useless sectorial out there. Imagine being the "boring modern military" faction in a game like infinity.
I just noticed szalamandra is OOP. How come? That sucks. I can probably track one down but kinda weird to stop producing a mini like that without a replacement too.
>>94360222I mean I'm tempted but also I low key want to see what's replacing them first.
>>94362054Thats baseless comments, USARF are a best seller and helped immensely with N3 sales
>>94362091That's what he said though? Do you often have problems with reading comprehension?
>>94362091and we are in N5, speaking as a USARF fan it just feels like they know USARF has a lot of fans but dont want to do anything with the faction anymore. The list makes no sense why are Desperadoes even in vanilla? They stopped making them and Mavericks are the only USARF bikes still sold regularly. All the USARF units they added into vanilla was just for rulesfags Desperadoes are cheap bikes people will mostly proxy, Unknown Ranger is Unknown Ranger, and Van Zant is good too.
>>94362111You know they might make new onesJust a thought

>USARF mutts crying again even though they are still safeGod why cant Americans just go back to being Warhammer shitters
>>94357532>>94357846>>94357893This concept has amazing potential. I think the board looks way to difficult to read visually with those colors, reflectiveness and choice of battlemat. I'd want to buy this stuff but I'd prefer to work in a different hue altogether.
>>94362487Didn't one of the earlier examples have like LED lights in the buildings and some other stuff like trees to make it more than just clear acrylic boxes?
>>94362612It was neat yes, but still unrefined. I think it's cool they're experimenting with this though. I would want to set mine up more like VR missions style wire frame maps with bold color contrasts to help things stand out, or just go floating metallic building blocks to create verticality.
I can't decide how I want to paint my Kestrels. Their default scheme, even when simplified, is just too good. Also had a good laugh when I saw this chap assembled his Black Air horns backwards.
>>94362132Not just Van Zant, the two random Airbornes are the mooks who were with him in the movie too.
>>94363077>what is 40k had actually satisfying rulesInfinity looks better and plays better than its competitor. How come there aren't more people playing it? What's holding them back?
>>94363312What?
>>94363312Because Infinity is a much smaller game? It isn't complicated.>>94363373He's talking about the title of the video
>>94363312Some people hate pewter with passion thanks to the garbage GW sold after they went leadfree and have taught their ways to the younger generations.
Man I hate these bases with facings on them
>>94361997more like Kosmo with more russians
>>94364771Why?
>>94364826I make up bases separately to minis. So with these instead of just being able to make up a ton of bases and then attach minis as I paint them, I have to be conscious of exactly where I put shit on the base and exactly what mini is going on them so the facing is right. Also when I'm using texture rollers I can't just easily slice around the rim to clean it up. I have to carefully carve around the markings and it's annoying.
>>94363312Because retards will lose their mind if they have to actually hobby in this hobby so metal minis are out of the question.
>>94364826NTA, but the facing I want for the mini doesn't always line up with the base. I prefer just a few simple lines. Also I think they look incredibly stupid particularly the side arrows, and I think I might actually use CB bases if they were just lines instead.
>>94363312Why is this even a question? Infinity and Warhammer aren't the same interchangeable thing and that video title is an ad speaking to retarded normies just like the "What if DnD but Cyberpunk?" videos that came out after Edgerunners.
>>94364636>It isn't complicated. You didn't answer my question and yet it's so simple of an answer to you. Why are they so small if they're the better at everything their competition does? >>94364654>>94365048What's funny is in this video these 40k-heads all swoon over how cool it is to have an all metal army again. They love the details and the weight of the minis.>>94365090>Why is this even a question?Who the hell are you, the Question Police? Asking why Infinity isn't more popular despite beating the ever loving shit out of the competition in both sculpts and gameplay for years and years now isn't exactly irrelevant. There's a reason for it and I'm interested in discussing possibilities that have held them back. So far the competing theory in the thread is metal minis, but GW use to produce those excessively as well and gained traction despite that fact. I'm not convinced that's the only reason, but it is a contender.
>>94357532I don't think it looks good.Part of the draw of infinity is the pretty table. This just looks empty
>>94365311It's because event has been homogenized together. It's impossible to read at a galnce what buildings even are. I was wondering why there's stairs that lead nowhere when I first saw it, and it was only when I came back to look at it that I realized that's a building the stairs are leading up to. Not only is it going to be impossible for your enemy to track what's happening you're going to have a hard time figuring out aros in a snap decision because there's no clear space of vision with rainbows and mirror surfaces popping off while you look at things from multiple angles. They could really improve this by having a featureless flat grid playmat to break up what is building and what is ground a little easier. Great concept, love to see experimentation, but this configuration AIN'T IT!
>>94365311>>94365343It looks much better on a darker mat, especially if you have a few sources of light to make the buildings shine.
>>94365398We're approaching a more serviceable middleground here. I still think the color of the structures should be different, least of all mostly transparent. Just a proof of concept of what you can do with opaque structures, verticality, a nebulous floor and mood lighting.
Varuna lives!
>>94365278I did answer your question. Not my fault you're too busy sperging out to read my post.
>>94362487I understand why it could be hard to read, but I don't have any issues reading these pics. Maybe changing the mat could help. >>94365311It definitely needs some larger buildings in the center. >>94365398This does look better and fits the hologram look. I've always wanted to do a "tron" themed combat simulator table with black mat, black terrain, and pin stripped red and blue lines. but this blows that out of the water imo.
>>94366219You answered by rephrasing the question. >Why are they small? Because they're small; isn't it obvious?
>>94366111I think the TFall2 map War Games is a much better example of what you mean, personally.
>>94366658Yeah, because I'd hope that even a retard like you understands that a much smaller firm with less resources, players, history etc. Will be less succesful than the biggest wargame in the world that's been going for twice the amount of time no less. Even if you ignore this obvious fact infinity is much more niche because it has more complicated rules. But it being niche and not well known is the main reason.
>>94363312It is a number of factors. To list a few:Corvus Belli being a much smaller, private, company means less marketing/advertisement, but also the game itself being more in-depth makes it less approachable to newcomers. Ditto with the metal models. The setting is more shallow (not to say bad or worse, but Warhammer has had much more time to build upon their worlds, save for AoS). If someone wants to get into Warhammer they can buy models, read books, play video games, or buy smaller board games, or card games. The aesthetic itself is somewhat niche; not everyone digs the cyberpunk anime-inspired look, and the non-alien factions look very similar to the untrained eye (I've been told specifically by Warhammer players that the armies all look the same). There is almost certainly more to it, but that is off the top of my head.
I pray that Wildcats will get better in N5, or that Corregidor will lose the 1SWC lieutenant tax at the very least.
>>94367571Damn, nice display

The rocket tomahawk came out pretty nice. Definitely way better than just the trench hammer if ya ask me. On a similar note, man is the chest armor of the 'pode hard to fit on. Might be warped but can't get it to sit nicely no matter how much I shave off.>>94369111Did they ever have profiles? I thought she was purely a narrative thing.
>>94369355All ALIVE -event characters had profiles.
>>94360236>What are you referring to? If that's something they said I'm pretty sure it meant the tens of youtubers they sponsored and not their in house tidbitsUprising era, when someone leaked (actually leaked, not "leaked") some pics about the JSA box and some high profile CB-endorsed youtubefaggot started crying on the official forums how they ruined weeks of high-quality paid content (direct quote as far as I remember).
>>94369441Huh, were they in army only? I went to check the tagline mission packs and none of of them (1-6) had profiles for Bit & Kiss.
>>94369490kek, average eceleb
>>94363312Corvus Belli would have to pay a lot more taxes if they were bigger so they're trying to stay smaller than say, GW
>>94369502Yeah, they were basically mercenaries avilable to a vide variety of factions. Personally I only got to use Switch in my PanO. The deal was that the winner of Interplanetario would get to decide the faction one of them would migrate into permanently. That guy played Military Orders in the tournament, but decided to give Bit and Kiss to CA instead, so it was fluffed that CA struck the PanO convoy transporting Bit. The rest of the gang vanished, presumably killed.
>>94369571Wow, what a cool concept. Infinity is niche enough where these kinds of things aren't super well documented and archived so it's nice to hear about stuff like this. I wonder if they'll do a big narrative campaign tied to an its season again sometime.
>>94357532>>94357846>>94365398I'm now reminded of DXHR and trivializing the armorglass boss with a laser gun.
>>94366193Love these boys. Nice pop of color. Going to add anything else? Skin looks great. Armor might need a highlight
>>94369502They were in the core ITS8 rules (pp12~13), rather than in the mission packs. You could take them individually as Irregular, or in a group of all 3+1 to make them Regular. They printed the fluff in the ITS9 book, even though that was when they cut them.
>>94370728I guess it makes sense since the narrative was still living until the its8 interplanetario.
>>94369954Except of bases, no. Won't highlight armour more either, it's that I can't catch it on phone.

>>94369568>Corvus Belli would have to pay a lot more taxes if they were bigger so they're trying to stay smaller than say, GWAbsolute bullshit. That is NOT true. CB is based in Spain a socialist cesspool that tax every single cent you made. They've paid , they are paying and they will pay taxes for every single step they make as a company.
>>94371505Mobile works fine too>>94371520Why are you being so angry about being wrong? You clearly don't know anything about the subject in any capacity so why froth at the mouth instead of just being quiet?
>>94371532You have been sustaining the "CB avoid tax" narrative for so long and still refuse to acknowledge your blindness about CB inner issues. Even if you have any info you've been mislead. CB hasn't become BIG because they don't know how to handle a company to become "Big", they focus too much on art and quality but definitely don't know how to make money.
>>94371572I've held it for two posts because you didn't do anything to refute it and instead just screeched and seethed like crazy. Spain has different tax brackets for PYME (small and medium companies), meaning 50 or less employees and less than 10 mil in annual revenue. It's smart to not get over that line if you're not gonna cross it by a big margin. You seething about their minis being bad "now" or whatever has pretty much nothing to do with it.
>>94371592Anon, CB crossed that "more than 50 employees" line in 2016. You are so out of the picture that it hurts.
Can siocast be softened with warm water to bend it gently?

>>94371851Are these CB dickriders in the thread with us right now
>>94371736What ever you do don't freeze it. Turns brittle as shit. I'm not sure how much you'll be able to bend it with warm water but it won't have a terribly strong flex point fair warning.
>>94371967Wasn't thinking of doing that but thanks. Warm water didn't help either, but heat is used for siocast molding so you'd probably need way higher temperatures. I guess there's nothing to be done except gap filling since the part doesn't want to sit flush no matter how much I shave.
>>94371745I'm sorry, it's my fault, I haven't finished painting my minis yet
>>94371851Can you blame them for wanting to get away from N4 as soon as possible
>>94371977I do staged assembly by lightly super gluing models together to get an idea of where they end up on a base or know where they're looking first, then I'll go back and break said model up for preassembly painting. Since I use super glue one step involved in this process is putting a 'staged' model in the ice chest for a bit to make the glue brittle for separation. Well when I tried this with a siocast the damn thing began to crumble in my hands, and easier than the superglue would break resulting in joints being left in the sockets. Really unpleasant stuff. Wouldn't recommend doing what I did for any models other than hard plastic or metal.

>>94374038Didn't they say N4 will stay in army for some time and eventually will be archived as pdfs? Like how you could switch between codeone and n4 in army. That actually might be another reason for the delay

>>94374145> Didn't they say N4 will stay in army for some time and eventually will be archived as pdfs?I haven't seen that said. Afaik they only said they'd release PDFs. Although one might think that just adding another "version" into the army by just leaving the current profiles in there would be easier both for them and us.
>>94375040That's what I thought too since codeone is leaving so it's not like it'd make army any more complicated
>>94375167That's the thing, I thought so too, so I was surprised that they said it'd only gonna be in PDFs. Unless they actually want it to be less convenient so that less people play N4 — for instance, me, I won't bother to play N4 if it's not in the Army.
>>94373329>acceptable collateral casualtiesKek
>>94375182>Unless they actually want it to be less convenient so that less people play N4Of course they do, the company wants to push people towards the products they still support.
>>94376070That's true. It's also probably healthier for the community to not be divided over multiple editions. But it is kinda surprising to see how many people are complaining that all their armies got axed. Talk about bad luck, eh?
Anybody ordered infinity recasts from BLM? They any good at all?
>>94376435Y'all keep threatening to do that, but I don't ever see results.
>>94376488Oh, I came across them randomly when trying to find something to proxy denma connelly with. Decided not to order when I realized they're a recaster site mostly because of possible quality problems but also because it feels kinda wrong even if it's minis that are long gone otherwise
>>94376435>>94376435They aren't too bad. I order from them a lot because I like OOP models and haven't had many complaints. They even fucked my order up once and gave me a refund/free shipping on my next one. Just don't expect perfection if you order something that's small/super detailed.

>>94376435There were plenty of testimonies a few threads ago. Just look them up
>>94373243Generally speaking Light and Heavy aren't always categorized by armor, but also by weapons and utility/role. Like heavy cruisers aren't more armored, they simply have bigger guns than light cruisers. Heavy cav were large horses highly armored and often used for break formations while Light cav has no armor and were for harassment and scouting. This can be different from nation to nation of course, and in modern days there's less differentiation between these in favor of multi-purpose weapon systems and more flexible formations. I'm not a military expert or anything, so I'm sure someone can correct me on this!>Why is Tarik Mansuri LI but Margot Bethier HISo that said...She was in the Mirage teams during the Commercial Wars, as a shock troop doing high risk highly violent strikes. She's a former Moblot who are highly trained frontline/vanguard troopers. So it makes sense she's HI. Mirage Teams could probably be categorized as HI, but we don't know since they're not in the game. Tarik is a beefed up Khawarij, a Light Infantry unit, which makes sense since they mostly carry small arms with 1 profile for HRL. They're all highly mobile and lightly armored except Tarik. Tarik is unusual because he's a super human, but his training is still that of a Khawarij.
>>94376435They're usually fine. Expect to have to do a bit more clean up than normal. Mold lines will be more pronounced, there will likely be flash, and the models will be entirely coated in mold release agent. The metal is also a bit softer than the metal CB uses, and they have some amount of lead.
>>94376435I have no complaints, got a bunch of OOP/limiteds from them. They usually need a bit more clean up of mold lines/release agent than the real deal but after that you can't tell the difference.Shipping surprisingly doesn't take forever considering their country is an active warzone and I'm across the Atlantic.>>94376488I generally don't take pictures of bare metal models, but here is one from 3 or so years ago.
