Bowen the Blacksmith:Bowen Parnamie was born to a common family in a small village. As a youth, he apprenticed under the local blacksmith who taught him to take pride in his work and to be diligent and hard-working. Bowen eventually progressed to being a journeyman blacksmith. With gainful employment as a skilled tradesman, Bowen felt confident enough in his financial situation to propose to his childhood sweetheart, Lillen Moore. She accepted and a great celebration was had at the wedding. Everyone in the village was invited. Eventually, the old blacksmith retired and Bowen took his place as the village blacksmith. Much joy was had when Lillen told Bowen she was with child shortly after he assumed the position of village blacksmith. They had a baby daughter that together they named Kailey. However, tragedy struck when Lillen suddenly became ill and passed away when Kailey was only 3 years old. This greatly affected Bowen as he became more serious and severe. Bowen had but one silver lining, his daughter. Bowen shows great love for his daughter Kailey who, now 11 years of age, assists her father in his work. Although a strict and serious father to Kailey, Bowen cares for Kailey greatly. Sometimes he falls short in allowing Kailey to enjoy her childhood experiences, but this is just his way of preparing her for the harshness of the world. He can be a stern father with high expectations for his daughter. 1/2
>>94564456A conventional and conservative man, as well as a shrewd, practiced trader, Bowen is a respected member of his community with little interest for things that do not affect him, his village or his family. A simple man in a simple land, Bowen and his community are staunchly opposed to anything that they cannot easily understand. While this may appear close-minded and ignorant in the eyes of people from the world outside of his village, Bowen is content doing what he believes is right. One of Bowen’s major priorities is raising his daughter, Kailey. He wants to ensure that she makes good life choices so she can live a prosperous life. He is simply a man forged in the fires of his own life experiences who finds joy in the love of his daughter and the memory of his beloved wife.2/2

ALRIGHT, ANONS. LET'S GET SOME CONVERSATION GOING.If you're currently playing or have finished playing as your character, tell me what you'd do differently if you were to play him again. We're talking from wherever you started him off, anything you'd have changed. And yes, "I don't think I'd change him" is a legit answer, just don't be boring about it. Explain yourself.Personally, I think I'd have built Jack differently for sure.> Start with The Wild Hunt> Maybe take Bloodbound Beast> Save Extinction Bow for later> Focus more on hunting big monsters> Take Twisting Territory sooner, to track aforementioned monsters> Lean on the Nietzschean, "fight monsters, don't become one" angle> Get more hot Witches into his story beats, much sooner> Take more fallout, overall
>>94510012Reposting Hannah!
>>94567611BTW if you all want, I could dump Hannah's story in, since I expanded on her characterization a while back. I did the same with Jason, but DESU I can't really find a good excuse to expand on his so :p
>>94566847Well it's something I haven't done yet, but I have a terrible idea for a money laundering scheme involving Maelstrom that will probably get my character killed if I ever try to pull the trigger on it. As for things I'd change I'm kinda of two minds on that one. I have some skill points that could be argued were "wasted" from the perspective of a min maxer. Like I put points into personal grooming and wardrobe and style, which are kinda useless and I haven't rolled for once thus far, but which I don't really regret. Cause there is no way in hell I'm making or playing some gonk ass homeless looking motherfucker who doesn't know how to wash or dress himself. Fuck that, I just can't accept not having those skills even if objectively the points probably would have been better used in something that helps me survive jobs and earn eddies. >>94567614No reason not to honestly. Fire away, more character discussion is always welcome.

>>94566847In terms of active gameplay (because I feel like the actual build went over pretty well, all things considered), I realized Mithral Current/Scarlet Throne Warlord into Landsknecht was attempting to replicate the Opportunity Attack tech from 3.5's Tome of Battle pretty late, and I'd have started taking advantage of it way sooner.I still grapple with not just biting the bullet and making his sword out of alchemical silver to take advantage of Mithral Current's ability to force silver vulnerability. The -1 on damage rolls really isn't that big a deal, and though I'll eventually pick something up that causes my weapons to be counted as silver for the purposes of vulnerability, it feels like money left on the table.
>>94570115I'd be tempted to say not putting ranks into Knowledge (Nobility) was a mistake that I should've done something about, but I came around to kind of liking it. His complete dearth of knowledge about heraldry and the politics of the aristocracy became just another thing he let slide. He knew who his friends were and who their enemies were, and that was enough for his purposes.
>>94564441I don't even care about the waifu; I just want to spill about my ranger who is actively losing his shit.>The SystemPathfinder 1e. Wrath of the Righteous campaign>The ManEmedeh is a reserved man who's spent over half is life stalking the woods for weak bandits and cultists to harass and pick off one-by-one in the darkness. A usually reserved man, his conversation can quickly turn fiery in matters of work, philosophy/politics (CG to the point of full anarchism), and his obsessive hatred towards demons (or "future demons" as he often fights against). Despite this anarchism he has chosen to follow the wisdom of a goddess that goes unnamed to his compatriots; firmly believing in silence of the night, and that acting in good faith without anyone even knowing an action was taken is the height of altruism.Meeting a motley crew of others, he slowly befriended two other Tieflings; much more open and boisterous than him. Their trials in the city while opening him up to others, reinforced his beliefs in the failure of ironclad social systems. Having his Mythic powers sparked by a different goddess than his own has caused some personal questions, having never heard her voice. His meeting with the Queen led to a polite yet philosophical defiance of her favor. The road to reach the Sword of Valor had him separated from the main party, working as an advanced scout late into the night. Each town liberated stoked the flames of his righteous fury, every prisoner rescued only spurring his hatred of the enemy. The loss of two of his friends (one player wanted to swap, then next week the other had a permanent schedule shift) hasn't gone over well. 1/2?
>>94570579He's faster to deny his allies a place in the front lines, despite knowing their skills; opting to risk himself before anyone he considers a better candidate for being the country's hero. He's taken the former party's leader sword, and has begun one-sided philosophical discussions more than once; at nearly losing it in a mimic fight his first instinct was to cradle the blade to his chest despite being covered in wounds.>The BuildI'm too lazy to type it all. Skirmisher/Infiltrator Ranger, with a dip in Poisoner Rogue. Build focuses on Stealth, Intimidation (some GM fiat involved to not go MAD), alchemy craft (mostly drugs and creations, but with the Rogue dip he's stacking up on the poisons for when we do court shit), and spellcraft despite having no magic whatsoever (even swapped his racial stuff out) leading to humor philosophy depending on who he's talking to. Mythic feats enhance stealth in darkness, grant him extra skills, and further weaken enemies who are afraid of him. I have sacrificed raw damage, but it's not like it matters as I don't have a +4 sword anyways.>>94566847>Doing Things DifferentlyDefinitely more talk about his family. This was partly me being lazy with a bulletpoint backstory to build off of with time, and partly me being happy our Paladin who suffered scheduling issues was willing to lead (my other groups have me being defacto leader, and I wanted to sit back a bit). More time spent ranting about his racial identity would be great; he blames fiends for everything his appearance has caused him, has called himself Human several times, and is horrified that he naturally speaks a demonic language (which flavor-wise spurred him to know all the languages he does); the alternate side he fully utilizes his racial traits to combat his own bloodline via energy resistance, nightvision, and making sure to use his physical traits in combat.2/2

>>94566847considering Faust only survived the game due to some cracked rolls, im not too sure what I would do differently. In the Ascension game hes been building influence with the Ecclesiarchy and subtly pushing image that Kor, the assassin whos a close friend of his, is a Living Saint. He also FINALLY struck out when he flirted with a Palantine of the Bloody Rose. The woman fanatical and he actually had to run because she planned on not letting him escape until she was "seeing the knowing smile of The Emperor". He gets flak for it from the rest of the team, with Serena, the teams permanent Tech Priestess giving him nothing but scorn over it and his womanizing ways. He also lost his sight when the team was working with a strike squad of Grey Knights and Faust finished the Banishment ritual against a Keeper of Secrets. Any augmetics theyve tried installing fail instantly, but Faust says hes fine, The Emperor guides his sight and Faust believes its The Emperors way of reminding him to "never again see the path of Heresy."

His second thought as her sword sheared through the smiling harlequin in red and black motley who had been intent on recruiting him forcibly as an "assistant" for her next show was "Damn that's a big woman." Being perfectly fair to him, she did stand head and shoulders taller than him. "Damn that's a big woman" was almost certainly most people's first impression of Rumiana. He also couldn't be blamed for thinking she was an Azorious officer, after all the warehouse he was guarding was inside of territory which was ostensibly under their jurisdiction. Who else would run to his defense if not an officer of the law? The average denizen of precinct six knew better than to stick their neck out for a stranger and there wasn't anywhere near enough fire or shouting for his savior to be some Boros zealot. It was only after the rest of the Rakdos troupe fled that he realized she was both alone, and arrestors never patrolled the district at night alone, nor in the blue and white uniform of an Arrestor. His savior explained that she was on nigh watch at a nearby tenement house where she lived and worked as a guard when she saw the lights and came to help him. "Few less killer clowns who think they can recruit for their shows here makes the whole neighborhood safer" she said " So really if you think about it, I was just doing my job." 1/
>>94574931That was how Lucian met Rumiana. No one was quite sure where she was from. The young woman didn't appear to have family and hadn't grown up in the sixth. She'd just showed up one day with sword in hand and started carving her mark into the precinct. While ostensibly a blade for hire it was quietly understood that if you were in desperate need she would almost certainly help you, even if you didn't have the coin for her services. Frankly she tended to live more off of the good will of the people in her tenement building that she'd helped in the past than anything else before she met Lucien. Too willing for a mercenary to risk her neck for free if you sang her a sob story. Far far too willing for a mercenary to turn down paying work if she thought what was being asked of her was wrong. It didn't pay for sell swords to be picky about who they swung their blade for, but she was. Despite her infamous high standards apparently Rumiana found working as a "security consultant" for Lucien to be quite palatable. While never truly one of Lucien's employees, she was always happy to work with him when he deemed the risk sufficient to justify the expense of hiring her. Theirs was a friendship that blossomed during late nights spent huddled next to the same smoldering brazier for warmth chattering about their lives while scanning the night for threats, laughing into drinks together in smoky bars as they celebrated another job successfully completed, and deepened into something more as they saw each other through struggles to survive in back alleys and on warehouse floors. Hireling became friend, friend became partner, partner transformed into lover. 2/4
>>94574935They were happy for a time, and when Lucian bought his way into the Orzhov Syndicate he thought the improvement in his, their, stations in life might herald the next change in their relationship. And he was right, it did herald a change. Rumiana refused to join the guild with him. If he wished to join the Syndicate that was his decision, but she would not. They argued, and Lucian asked why? And, one night safely ensconced in their home she explained. Her father had been a Lawmage. Had believed in the Senate, had thought them righteous. When Isperia had ordered the mass arrest of the Golgari he had trusted it was just, at least at first. Had carried out his duties to his guild. But as the prisons filled to capacity and then past it, as the tortures and arbitrary executions started he realized the senate wasn't just at all. The Duskend Purges opened his eyes to the rot and made him ashamed of his blue cloak. Neither guild will speak of it, neither guild will admit it, but when the Golgari prisoners rioted and broke free there were those among their guards who helped them do it. Rumania's father had been one of them. He and a coterie of likeminded guards had held open a gate and helped them escape before throwing away their guild sigils and fleeing into the night themselves to escape the wrath of the senate3/4
>>94574940All her life her father had taught her that the guilds could not be trusted. They cared for themselves, and only themselves, and if they claimed more than self interest it was only to manipulate potential recruits. He still believed in the ideals that had led him to join the Azorious Senate, the ideals he taught her to uphold in turn. To protect the innocent and administer swift justice to the wicked. The Senate could not be trusted to deal justly, and if the Senate could not be trusted to be Just no guild could. If lucian wished to join the Syndicate she would not stop him, nor would she fault him for wanting to improve his station in life, but she couldn't accept doing so herself. It would feel too much like a betrayal of her fathers memory. Still, she loves Lucian. And though it put some strain on their relationship it hasn't split them apart. 4/
>>94574001>>94574007This is a really hard choice choom. Really hard. Objectively speaking the first one is the smart choice. By far the more reasonable one to pick and the one that aligns with my long term goals. And yet something about the second is calling to me. That description screams ride or die girl and the first just doesn't give me that feeling, and I'm a sucker for a ride or die girl. Fuck it I'm sticking my dick in crazy, we're going with the Solo Waifu. Will's gonna live fast and die young, but hey that's the Edgerunner way right? Any chance we can chrome her up a bit? I'm a sucker for borg girls. If not no worries, I look forward to seeing whatever it is you're cooking but I figured it probably wouldn't hurt to ask
>>94564718So while I was working on the Orzhov anons stuff I had a few ideas for Jack. I'm not sure if anyone else is working on something for you, but if it doesn't step on any toes how do you feel about a twofer (sort of) delivery of a Witch and a Hound?
Who hasn't got a waifu yet? I'm pretty sauced but I'll think about it.
>>94574931Thanks for your work, Anon! I like her. Rumiana seems pretty interesting. Independent, kind even. It's really believable that they could get close over time that way, and I liked that description. That being said, I'd love to know more about what she's like in a more intimate setting. Not sexually per se, but just the little things she likes and does that a lover would take notice of. And what someone who lives so humbly likes about a guy who does earnest work, but is very ambitious and likes the finer things.

Really disappointing considering he clearly understood the game I play(Pendragon) and created a wife based on the game's mechanics. Oh well, that's the holiday season for you. This is me if you're interested>>94566533
>>94575531Anon if he's willing to create a waifu for me I'm quite happy to get a waifu. I don't feel entitled to more than one rom him, and he is certainly not obligated to make me more than one. He has expressed his willingness to freely give of his own time and effort to make a waifu for me, and I'm immensely grateful for that and happy to do things on his terms. To be quite frank I didn't expect to get any waifus at all at this point and I was okay with that. Been having a good time shooting the shit and making waifus for other anons. Having someone offer to make a waifu for me after three weeks was a pleasant surprise. I don't mind that he made me pick at all. Yes you are correct I really should have remembered to post what my roll results were just as a general thread etiquette thing since we had agreed to do that, that is my bad, but even so I'm quite happy to get one waifu from anon and won't mind if I don't get a second. >>94576463It really is a shame. >>94574978Hey, wild. I think OP is working on one at the moment but I'm happy to see what you've got.
Repostan Rory for his SECOND wife slot. Yes, two wives! Can you believe it? >>94566847Honestly? I kinda wish the game had happened when the PF1e groups I ran with weren't obsessed with insane 3pp. That game went insane with Path of War and Spheres of Power when that was the meme around these parts. Then Spheres of Might came out and the DM unilaterally shifted everything towards that. I also found a lot of the granularity of the supplements to be annoying to build around. Rory himself as a character was a real hoot but he was also a bit contradictory with that party. He was the odd one out in not having much to do with dragons (it was a campaign about dealing with dragons), so if I went back and made him more thematic I'd probably square that away. He'd become a dragonaboo.
>>94566533>>94576463My first thought when I read 'Pendragon' was >hah, wouldn't it be funny if I wrote a lady lush whose personality changes when she drinks using Directed Traitsand then I read Alan and now I'm thinking it over harder. It seems like he might meet a woman like that by incident, but I'd hate to play up shallow characterization with the "joke" of>haha they share a vice isn't it funnyI can think of a few other ideas.
>>94577566Of course, being a heavy drinker implies that she also has high Indulgence. You risk raising it when you have a vineyard in your holdings to reflect that. Just something to keep in mind.
>>94577590>>94577566Hold up. This game has mechanics for being a lush?
>>94577590My thought was that the waifu could have low alcohol tolerance (gets drunk too easily) and thus has a food tendency instead. Stress eating is fairly common IRL, and it can encourage further maladaptive behaviors as she realizes her SIZ is showing. It might, alternatively or in addition, encourage her to be overactive and more Energetic. BTW, is Alan's Energetic 12 or 10? The two sides don't add up evenly, is there a special case?>>94577623Yes, Indulgent (Alcohol) as a Directed Trait usually fits, if not Indulgent outright.
>>94577623I posted this image in an earlier thread while helping explain the game's mechanics. In the top left here, you can see a block of Traits. They're on a balancing scale of 20, which means that the numbers on both sides add up to 20, and an increase on one side generally means a decrease on the other.Temperate/Indulgence is the pair of Traits in question here. People who can't resist the opportunity to indulge, such as by drinking, have higher Indulgence. People who are better at moderating themselves have higher Temperate. So if the game wants to check whether you can resist drinking (or drinking to excess), such as at a feast, it'll be a check involving those Traits.
>>94577688Other than not being a boring ass twat, are there any rules preventing you from choosing to lean heavily into all the "good" traits? Just virtues all the way down?
>>94577779The best way to check that as a game master is to hold players accountable. If you want to make your character Honest, they have to BE Honest, which often means speaking up even when it's a bad idea. You also can't start with maxed Traits, you have to slowly push them toward your target with regular activity. You usually get one with a rating of 16, and the traits dictated by your religion start at 13 by default. It could take years for you to become a Religious Knight.
>>94577779It'd take a ton of work for reasons outlined by >>94577830. But yes, your GM will hold you accountable. Especially if you have Traits that are quite high, your GM will probably force you to make checks to see if you can act the other way in a situation when you would like to do so. And the lower the opposite Trait is (because the high trait is so high), the harder it is to succeed that check. And then, even if you do succeed that check, it may cause you to tilt your score that way when you check your traits at the end of the year. The lower a number is, the easier it is to improve on it.
>>94577566Do whatever you think is best. I'm planning on showing the waifu the gm so he can integrate her when we start playing. I know for a fact that he's lurking these threads.>>94577623Yes. It's a trait and can effect your character's behaviour and decisions, and other events like feasts.>>94577652Energetic is 12, lazy is 8. It was typo, sorry.>>94577779Like the other anons said, your behaviour will effect your traits. For example: if the you choose to torture the saxon prisoner you just acquired, the gm will almost certainly give you a cruel check, no rolls required. I didn't want to play a goody-goody religous chivalrous knight, so I intentionally played as a flawed alcoholic.
>>94577779Also take note in addition to everything mentioned, if you have too many traits that are... "bad," in the sense that your character becomes a wretched, sinful kind of person, the GM has incentive to yoink them and make them into an antagonist because they've strayed too far from what's righteous and lawful. You're not supposed to play evil knights in this game.
>>94578128So how many is too many? How close to the sun can I fly?
>>94579689Honor tends to be the do or die Passion. If your Honor drops below 5, you're considered such a shitbag your lord will revoke your knighthood. Anything below that risks you becoming a full on outlaw.I would say 5 or more really bad Traits risks the DM yanking your character sheet, but depending on what they are you should be fine. Reckless, Vengeful, and Lustful tend to get more leeway than, say, Cruel, Lazy, or especially Cowardly.Cowardly 16 or worse is a borderline social death sentence for a knight and will lose you so much Honor so fast it's one of the reasons Valorous starts at 15 by default.
>>94579689Pretty much what >>94579738 said. Though when it comes to Traits, I usually look at which ones are Chivalrous to have and if too many of their opposites are notably high, it's time for them to succumb to evil. Like, even if you just had a few of them at 17 or higher, I might consider that you've lost your way to much.
>>94579689Evil itself functions as its own religion. One that you don't need to follow to meet its requirements. These are the evil traits. If, and only if, each of them equal 16 or higher, your character is considered an "evil knight" and the gm has carte blanche to do with them as they please. Whether it's making them a villianous npc, or having the actual devil show up to drag them to Hell(this is what the rulebook says to do)
Rolled 2 (1d10)>>94564441Casimir: D&D 5e, Human, Eldritch Knight Fighter, Folk Hero background, Lawful Good, 27 years old.Inclined toward academia by nature (which is to say, literally autistic) but born into a yeoman family in a backwater subsistence-farming village with no proper outlet for his intellectual talents, he instead invested his mental energies into learning everything about farming and nature that he could from the village elders and medicine woman, and then using that knowledge to experiment with improving agricultural techniques to lighten his family's workload. For lack of much better to do, he also learned everything he could about fighting from one of the other villagers, who had been a city watchman in his youth, the better to defend his community (and experiments) should the need arise.Casimir's quietly dissatisfied—but nonetheless productive and meaningful—life was shattered when a restless, upstart second-son of a noble rolled into town with a gang of mercenaries to press some obscure claim on the produce of the villagers (that is, to enserf them). Immediately incensed at this, Casimir attempted to coordinate an ousting of the self-appointed tyrant, but between the meager martial resources of the village and his lacking charisma, the project was botched and betrayed at its most critical moment, and Casimir was forced to flee in the hope of resuming the good fight another day.Though Casimir's expulsion was the darkest moment of his life, it was also a blessing in disguise: Forced to shelter in the anonymity provided by the nearest city, he was finally exposed to his true calling, magic, and quickly realized both his natural affinity for it and its usefulness as a force-multiplier against the princeling. Since he is too late in life to become a wizard's apprentice, he instead teaches himself magic by buying apprentices' old study materials, and adventures to accumulate further skills, power, resources, and connections with which to liberate his home.
>>94580205Casimir prizes compassion, autonomy, and fairness. Being autistic, he likes rules, but hates arbitrariness, and habitually gets himself into trouble for questioning non-meritocratic social hierarchies.Despite Casimir's newfound passion for learning, he still strongly desires to settle down, start a (very large) family, and provide for them via farming after he finally liberates his home village. Fittingly, his taste in women runs matronly both in body and personality, and the most surefire way to make him fall head-over-heels is to demonstrate the potential to become an excellent mother.

>>94574999I haven't yet, I'm the guy who submitted SamanthaBut apparently someone was working on her (SSC apparently ?) husbando, and I have no idea how far along that's going. Or who's making it.
>>94576732I haven't forgotten you, by the way; I've just been at work all day. I don't know how people are doing this, so I'm just fucking going for it. I partly stole this wholesale from the background of a character I'm playing literally as I type this (it's a scene I'm not in. It's fine). Also, it was kind of hard finding something that (1) fit my personal aesthetic preferences, (2) included some obvious cyberlimbs, and (3) wasn't just pornography (as in, featuring full nudity or penetrative sex). Though science fiction is quite limitless, sci-fi art is, evidently, very limited.I'm just doing the writeup of the lore before I translate the mechanics from a sheet to a .txt file to past into a post. Full transparency, I'm operating on the assumption of one (1) month of work as an Edgerunner with three (3) two-session regular gigs and one (1) three-session dangerous gig, for a total (based on my own RED experiences) of 400 IP and 5,000 eb (minus expenses). If you like what I cooked, I'll consider making the Fixer, too.
>>94575122Sorry for the delay, been a longer day than I'd anticipated. So the first thing I'd like to address is that she did live humbly, but that isn't because she is committed to asceticism. It's not that she objects to having nice things, or being ambitious, she actually is really really happy not to be living month to month wondering how she's going to afford everything and probably really enjoys it when/if Lucian treats her to something nice. The reason she tended to be rather poor is because frankly she just doesn't have the temperament to be a mercenary. She's far more likely to do pro bono work for people who say they need her help than to charge them if they can spin her a good sob story, and she isn't willing to take morally ambiguous jobs from people who could actually pay her. Your daughter was kidnapped? Yes I will go get her back, don't worry about payment we can work something out. You want me to help you kill your rival gang so you can expand your territory? I don't care how much coin you flash in my face I'm not doing it. Terrible at business. She made it through on good will a lot of the time. People who hadn't been able to pay her stopping in with a casserole, or her landlord being willing to let her stay in the room as long as she acted as security for the tenement, that sort of thing. 1/3
>>94581541As to why she'd appreciate him, a big part of it is that he's earnest. From our previous discussion of your character the impression I got was that he was a pretty honest and trustworthy kind of guy, or at least presented himself as such. I feel like a large part of why she'd come to care for him, at least initially, is that she'd see him as someone she could trust not to take advantage of her. See she's not naïve, she knows that people take advantage of her generosity. She's had it happen plenty of times, and she's made the conscious decision to keep putting herself out there despite knowing that people will take advantage of her, because she thinks helping the people who do genuinely need her help is worth it. Lucian doesn't try to take advantage of her. Lucian keeps his deals and is honest. In a lot of ways he's a breath of fresh air, someone she could trust and rely on, who also wasn't reliant on her so she could relax a bit around him. On a professional level initially but eventually more than that. As to how she is in their home in a more intimate setting she tends to show her affection for him in a couple of ways. Touch is a very big one. Not necessarily explicitly sexual, but she just tends to touch him a lot and really likes to cuddle. If they're sitting around she'll tend to brush against him with her hand assuming she doesn't lean into him. She's also a rather good masseuse and insists on providing them for Lucian regularly, especially if he's had a long day. It makes Rumiana really happy to be able to help him relax and feel good, again not explicitly sexual just a chance to do something nice for her lover and show him she cares. 2/3
>>94581550Her mother was a baker, and one of the things her mother did for her father when they were alive was bake him little treats. She tries to emulate that. Unfortunately she is not a particularly good baker. Her efforts are edible, she doesn't burn them or get the recipe's wildly wrong, they just aren't really anything amazing. She doesn't realize her baked goods are mediocre though, if she did she'd probably be too embarrassed to bring them to him, but she really loves to make him little cookies and cakes. Her way of expressing love tends to trend towards things she can do or give him to show him that she cares rather than just saying it. She probably won't say "I love you" very often but if she's feeling affectionate Lucian might come home to a favorite meal with a little home baked cake on the side for him to enjoy waiting on the table while she draws him up a warm bath for before his massage. 3/3 >>94580815No worries at all anon. Take your time. And yeah I absolutely get you. Finding art is hard. I spent quite a while trying to find art for the waifu's I've done for the thread so I absolutely understand that. Honestly if you want to just deliver the waifu without art if finding a piece you like is too hard that's perfectly fine too. I look forward to seeing what you've come up with. Thanks again. >>94577327Cool. Maybe take me a bit, but I'll get on that.
System is Exalted, name is Threnody. She's a crazy priestess of death who tries to persuade people to let their souls be melted into metal to feel eternal bliss instead of dealing with the bad emotions of the world. She has a giant scythe and often disobeys her lord's orders constantly to pursue her wacky religion. Tends to make up quotes and then present them as being genuine religious scriptures.
>>94565843Meet Mei Hua Erikson. Streetname "Xiao." Mei's story is a typical one for the Time of the Red: toddler at the time of the Arasaka Tower bombing, she was separated from her family (or survives them, who knows?) during the chaos following the destruction, ending up under the care of a couple in Chinatown (which became a Combat Zone in the wake of the Fourth Corporate War's end). As a kid, she spent most of her free time rooting through collapsed buildings with the other children her age, looking for copper and other industrial metals to sell off to make ends meet. Education, such that it was, came in the form of a one-room schoolhouse built by some of the older zoners. One of those older zoners (probably a defector from Arasaka who'd have probably lost his job anyway following the tower bombing) taught some of the local kids martial arts mornings and evenings, both as a form of exercise and self-defense, and also to instill discipline and restraint. Most of the kids washed out once they were old enough to work (either doing labor or doing crime), but Mei stuck with it up until her teen years.Unfortunately, like many kids in the Combat Zones, Mei found herself involved with a gang. Her adopted family was killed by a local gang to make an example of zoners who hadn't paid into their protection racket, and Mei did not waste time marching into a bar in the gang's territory and beating the shit out of anyone in arm's reach. To Mei's credit, it took more than six men to subdue her, and fully half would never walk again. In recognition for her grief, they let her off easy and only cut off her arms at the elbow. Her life was saved by a rival gang, one that admired her suicide run. They tossed her mangled body to a ripperdoc and set her up with a new set of cyberarms and a spinal graft. To work off her debt, she'd put her augments to work in an underground fight club, fighting matches and earning money from bets.(1/?)
>>94581710Mei, under the ring-name "Xiao" (her suicide run against the gang that killed her foster parents was sarcastically likened to a rampaging tiger), Mei quickly gained a reputation as a top-class brawler. Even when she lost, half of her opponents went home with broken ribs, torn muscles and spinal damage. The fight she won left her opponents looking like they'd walked into traffic. It was an easy hop from prizefighting to hired muscle. She'd pull security gigs for the gang, help do collections, push back against other gangs looking to expand their territory, all while doing her fights. In no time at all, Mei became an integral part of her group, earning respect on the streets, command over underlings, and a cut of the earnings. Years down the line, nearing her mid-twenties and with her debt long since paid off, she was starting to have a vision of what the future could bring. It all went wrong in the aftermath of a skirmish with the rival gang who had cut off her arms in the first place. A soldier she was going to dump into the bay revealed that they hadn't even started pushing into Chinatown at the time Mei's family was killed. She had figured this was just a desperate lie, but speaking with a few other people around Chinatown revealed the truth: the group she had assaulted hadn't started staking a claim on her section of Chinatown until the gang she had joined had started making moves against them. A conversation with her boss turned violent as tempers flared, and the boss spilled the truth: he was the one who had her parents killed, and pinned it on another gang to turn the civilians against them. They wanted a gang war, but didn't want to take the first shot. Better, instead, to turn the populace against them and bring them under the boss's protection, in order to build up cash and assemble a war chest. That Mei happened to be a very effective soldier and a profitable investment was just a coincidence.
>>94581715Current Mei is in a downward spiral. After beating her boss to death and fleeing Chinatown, she landed in a cargo container in Watson, near the river walk. She'll take jobs from anyone, do anything, fight anyone, *kill* anyone. Her devil-may-care, fuck-the-world demeanor covers a smoldering rage, barely-concealed violence constantly threatening to tear itself free from slaughter everything around her. She hops from crew to crew, just waiting until whoever agrees to be her handler takes off the leash and lets her run wild. It hasn't exactly made her an unpopular hire, and her preference for dangerous jobs other edgerunners are too smart (or insufficiently desperate) to take hasn't hurt either. On recommendation from her favorite Fixer, she's started saving money instead of just blowing it on more combat augments, moved out of her cargo container and into a proper studio apartment, and stopped eating kibble every meal. She claims the taste isn't meaningfully different. Sleeping in a real bed feels alien. Clean water and decent prepak taste wrong to her tongue. She needs a fight to force her brain to shut the fuck up. When her thoughts wander, she begins to suspect that she was genuinely better off living in a shipping crate and eating garbage.(3/3... for the lore, at least)
>>94581719Anyway, Linear Frame Martial Arts is amazingly-effective as far as Solo builds go, so that's what you're getting. That 4d6 unarmed damage applies to death-by-snu-snu, so find a Medtech and have some Speedheal on-tap
>>94581728I'll post sheet when I have it ready.
>>94569259I've been awfully busy lately, so sorry that I haven't been saying much! I will be posting the Hannah update link in, but I realize I've worked on Jason moreso than Hannah, so I guess . Since Jason already got his waifu (plus another I developed for him myself) I suppose I'll just be posting him for posting sake than asking for a waifu. Once I get the character "custom picture" in that is...
>>94582333You were happy with the wife I designed for him right? The feedback I've gotten has been mostly pretty barebones. I'd like to do more but I've been feeling unmotivated recently and have been falling into bad habits again. Also I went back and reread your wife for Jason in the previous thread, I liked the direction you went with it. I'll be the first to admit that I tend to design characters in a very opposites attract kind of way, which isn't something everyone likes. I'm also partial to strong assertive women, so my girls tend to not have that classic feminine flavor. Those are just the biases that creep into my writing. Which I think is kind of a turnoff for some people but eh it is what it is.Also AI Art isn't everyone's thing either I know that much too I just really don't like using existing characters (Or at least semi-popular/recognizable ones) to represent original characters but that's almost certainly just a me thing.
>>94582469Oh yeah, it was great! I really like the idea of a magician waifu, and I'll be honest here, Felicia was what inspired me to create Marie. Hey, you helped me get out of my writer's block, so I suppose it's only fair that I help you get out of it.> I'll be the first to admit that I tend to design characters in a very opposites attract kind of way, which isn't something everyone likes. I'm also partial to strong assertive women, so my girls tend to not have that classic feminine flavor.Honestly? I like it! Seeing an outgoing person with a more introverted person is always peak in my books. As for the strong assertive type, it's definitely something I can buy. Funny fact, I didn't really realize that you were writing someone more assertive ngl. I think Jason works with a vast variety of different girls, because I always wrote him as a dynamic character capable of going in multiple directions (he's actually my "stock" DND character, I've used him in a dozen campaigns with modified backstories), so to see him with Felicia works perfectly amazing.>Also AI Art isn't everyone's thing either I know that much tooHey, at the end of the day, the writing matters more than the picture. That's my opinion at least. I'd say stick to what works for you best. I will be honest, I do start to have issues with making a character with a faceclaim way too similar to the actual character in question sometimes.
>>94582577Yeah I suppose for Felicia she's not assertive in the sense of how she interacts with people normally. Her being more quiet and playing the part she needs to, but she drops the act in the event someone wants something that interferes with her own goals and ideas.I guess assertive is the wrong word for her specifically I think driven would be more accurate for her.I also don't know if it was intentional but Marie is almost like an opposite Felicia which I found funny.Felicia is a nobody albeit talented while Marie is from a wealthy family and an auspicious birth. Both isolated due to circumstance but Felicia was ultimately self inflicted whilst Marie is by obligation. When they were confronted one Felicia acted in anger whilst Marie acted out of fear. Both are polite but for very different reasons as well seemingly Marie you described as kind and in general she seems compassionate. Felicia is polite out of obligation and a desire to not draw unnecessary attention. While she's not exactly cruel she is a bit more apathetic. If this was all intentional then my compliments because it was well done.Honestly even though I'm not the biggest fan of love triangles the two would make pretty excellent foils to one another.Even down to the magic with Felicia using fire and Marie using ice both representing their personality and not.

She has two brothers, one of whom is a cunning sergeant/knight in his own right, but the other of which is a dim-witted brute good for little more than muscle. I'll give two short pitches.>Merchant: A portly merchantwoman has decided to ingratiate herself to the newly forged marshall. After all, every army marches on its stomach, and she's more than happy to sell him supplies. In addition, she has access to rare and fine wines. Normally, she would save such beautiful vintages for her own enjoyment, but even she can't drink it all. Besides, it's good to make favors in high places. As the oldest surviving member of her family after a port raid, an 'unwomanly' trade of merchantry is her new lot in life- one she intends to rise above as soon as possible. She took on her wheeling and dealing personality due to having little else to rely on once her family's home was destroyed by Saxons. >Dame: Heulog hides behind her brothers, just as she hid behind her father before them. Great choice for the artwork as well. Honestly this is checking a lot of boxes for me. I look forward to seeing the sheet, but just from what you've said so far I am indeed a fan. Linear Frame is a fantastic bit of chrome from my understanding, and I'm a sucker for martial arts. >that 4d6 unarmed damage applies to death by snu snuSo what you are saying is, either I hope I can get her interested in bondage, or I'm going to end up in traction? Eh, worth it lol.I really do like the character. I assume they'd meet on the job and get close due to shared dangerous experiences over the course of a few jobs together, that seems straightforward enough unless you had something else in mind. I do wonder how the relationship would work. Why she'd be interested in William rather than any of the other runners she's worked with and of course the all important make or break question of how she'd interact with his little sister? Since William pretty much lives for his sibling/daughter I can't see him being with Mei Hua long term if there's friction there.
>>94582942>>94582950>>94582955>portly>plush>mocked for weightHuh, I never imagined Sir Alan as an architect. I do really like Huelog though. Thanks anon!
>>94584170Use your new powers wisely, my good man. Tis a dangerous game.
>>94583677Much appreciated. Plenty of edgerunner crews start as being thrown together by a fixer, and I'd imagine there's a bit of the Revy and Rock dynamic at first (assuming you've seen Black Lagoon, which you might've given that plenty of Cyberpunk and Shadowrun players have said it's a good show for understanding the tone and kind of work PCs get up to). Xiao's a crazy bitch and needs someone holding her leash to make sure she doesn't start blasting before it's absolutely necessary.I'm still in the process of spending IP, but I can say for certain Mei Hua is very much a blunt instrument, just like a Solo should be. This isn't necessarily a pejorative. Blunt instruments are great. A shotgun can be as much a lockpick or a negotiator as a dedicated lockpick or negotiator so long as you don't care about being subtle. One bit of glue for the relationship is Cyberpunk RED's headquarters rules in the No Place Like Home DLC, which finally provides solid rules for the crew living together in a base of operations, this tying the fortunes to each other and to a location and resource that all of them have a very good mechanical reason to want to protect. Personal investment in a shared resource is a fine way to keep a party together. At the start, Mei is essentially a Chainsaw Man, and part 1 of Chainsaw Man was essentially the story of a human id Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs-ing his way into more a conscientious lifestyle. Mei Hua needs to climb the ladder and, presumptuous as it may sound, so does William. He's already decided that his sister's worth dying for, but what's worth living for?
>>94584331>Revy and Rock dynamic at firstI can dig that. I admit I'd prefer that they eventually move into a healthier dynamic, and I'd certainly hope that they have a bit more success progressing their relationship than Revy and Rock do, but that may be a bit much to ask. Cyberpunk isn't exactly known for healthy relationships or well adjusted people. Either way that's a good dynamic, especially as a starting point to the relationship. I can absolutely see that and can get behind it.>No Place like Home DLC shared base of operations/living quartersThis both solves this issue of where Katherine is while they are on jobs, and introduces new concerns about having her around edge runners. But it does provide a lot of opportunity for social interaction and having them grow closer. Imminently logical as part of the progression of their relationship and for the progression of the crew from disparate individuals into a more unified team. Makes sense. Absolutely makes sense. Going off of the Revy and Rock comparison earlier where Revy tends to admire Rock for his morals I imagine seeing Williams dedication to family after they all moved in together might be one of the things that makes an impression on Mei Hua, but maybe that's just a bit of conceit on my part. >So does WilliamYou aren't wrong. He's firmly stuck in fulfilling safety and physiological needs with his only real outlet for his emotional needs currently being his little sister. Any relationship would require him to climb the ladder as you've said, and open himself up to addressing his own wants and needs rather than just prioritizing Katherine over anything else. Which is a bit of a jump and would first require that they be in a decent place I think. Having a better living situation and more stable income would probably help with that, so the shared hide out and an established crew he could learn to rely on would go a long way to helping him start climbing that ladder.
>>94564441Reposting my character, which was >>94428935 >>94429089 , which makes three wives, as far as I understand.Kurda of the Mistcrowns is my current character in a homebrew d100 based game. Basic point is that magic in the early medieval era world is cast via words - as in you know the true meaning of a word and you can cast it, usually only one per mage. While most might words got sealed away by the gods, there is a lot of unusual stuff floating around. Also, the nobility of the setting are all mages. The campaign is set at the big mage academy, where both nobles and commoners learn together.Kurda kinda falls out of both groups, because while he technically belongs to the high nobility, beeing a tribal prince - he hails from the most archaic, backwards and irrelevant province of the entire kingdom, that beeing the mountain clans who apart from believing in the main religion also still have their dragon worship going on, so none of both groups take him that seriously. While beeing a bit more of a intellectual type among his people, most normal people see him as someone quick to defend his honor with a duel, pious to the point of beeing scared of sarcasm and irony and quite the brutal opponent - his word beeing "Bones", which he uses to manipulate his own, to use them as weapons.
>>94581568No rush, and no need to do both of them if OP's got one going too. You guys can do one and one.
>>94582689>I also don't know if it was intentional but Marie is almost like an opposite Felicia which I found funny.Huh, really? I'll be honest, it wasn't (well the fire magic versus ice magic was). Well, maybe it was, because a lot of the stuff that you mentioned was me making tweaks so I could make her a different character from Felicia. I focused more on the outcomes than the actual reason why they said outcomes were similar, but now that I think about it, the outcomes are similar for entirely different reasons. Now I want to see these two interact, haha! I'll definitely add the updated blurb about Jason later, which has lore on Hannah, Marie, and of course, Felicia! Man, I should just write a book at this point... I'm graduating college today though, so it might be a little while before I get to it though! And again, thanks a lot - once again, I was stuck in a serious writer's block and you helped me get rolling. Now I gotta write about these two interacting with one another!
>>94584699Technically my idea only results one waifu. The story I have in mind involves two characters and both could be considered waifus, but there's only one left by the end of it. See I was reading through things and one of the zeniths for the witch really stood out to me. Specifically perfect resurrection. I liked the idea of using that zenith as part of the story. So I figured one waifu (the hound) dies, and then the witch takes exception to that. So technically speaking it's really only one waifu long term, the hound, there's just another character involved in the waifus backstory. Which is why I said it was sort of a twofer.
>>94585416That is utterly mortifying, and doubly so when you consider a properly inducted member of the Hounds is already functionally immortal-- unable to truly die as long as their duty, protecting the people of Heart, remains unfinished. Redundant immortality, in a way.
>>94581568Thanks for all the notes, Anon. I imagine that Lucian would enjoy her company quite a lot. As a guy who likes that he can afford nice things, one of the ways that he would show his love language is gift-giving. Appreciative and caring for her presence and all the little ways she wants to support and take care of him, he'd be more than happy to make sure she has nice things, her gear is kept in good shape, and to receive little things that she likes on a pretty regular basis. His work in the guild may keep him busy, and the Syndicate does some pretty shady deals, but he's not exactly rotten. If he were a card, I think he would be White with an activated ability for Black that's relatively benign. Something in Black's wheelhouse of "pay a small amount of life to gain a small advantage" as a reflection of his ambitious efforts.
>>94585526Hmmm. I'm not sure how I missed that. Kinda scuppers what I had in mind, but it's probably for the best that got pointed out before I started writing. Back to the book then.

>>94585416>>94585562Someone in the last(?) thread said a Deadwalker would have the best synergy with the Cleaver. Might be a better choice than a Hound, desu
>>94585643Honestly I probably shouldn't try to get clever with a game I've not played after a single quick read of the rules. Might be best to just keep things simple.
>>94582689Actually, now that I think about it...is it too much to ask for a vague statblock for Felicia? I know you're probably working on a different girl or are taking a break, but I do want to see what she would be like in combat proper, despite the fact that they probably won't ever be part of an actual game. I've headcannoned a similar statblock with Marie, but with slightly lower con and higher wisdom (she seems a lot wiser than the accident prone Marie), but I just wanted to see if you wanted had a better idea of what she would be like. If not, I probably will cook up my own statlist for her (...eventually, as I said I've awfully busy today).
>>94585773Yeah I'll work something up give me a few minutes. I'm not really making headway on a new wife anyway.
>>94585773Alright this is a pretty basic outline I guess. Modeled it after the one you posted for Marie.Felicia RiveraWizard, Theurgy (UA) (Nature Domain)HumanStrength: 11Dexterity: 13Constitution: 14Intelligence: 16Wisdom: 15Charisma: 9More of a Druid/Wizard than Cleric/Wizard she's not really religious in the deity worshipping sense, but she has an innate grasp of magic that allows her to bend the rules a bit. Wasn't really considering D&D style classes when I made her so it's kind of hard to fit her into one box. For a default level I'd place her around 5 or 6. She's experienced and stronger than your average person but not exactly an epic hero. She avoids combat generally considering it a waste of time and unnecessary risk but if left with no other choice or sufficiently pissed off she starts burning things. Fire is obviously a personal favorite although she isn't careless, because she doesn't like damaging the environment. Besides burning things she favors battlefield control, fogs, terrain, maybe the odd summon usually animals or plants of course. She's basically a classic witch so if it feels witchy it's right at home on her spell list. She also tends to avoid "arcane" spells if that makes sense.Anyway that's how I'd run and design her for the most part. Also as an aside I find it funny that Marie is basically Sorcerer/Cleric while I explicitly designed Felicia as being more like a Wizard/Druid (albeit without a stat block until now) chuck another thing onto the oddly funny contrasting traits list.
>>94585764It's not even really necessary to give them classes, the wives could be NPCs, considering he's post-game at this point. You might find better inspiration among the Landmarks or Adversaries sections, because there's a lot there.> An NPC Witch, or another Cleaver from Avulse> A Gryndel Hunting Club noblewoman, parallel to his past> A nature-worshipping Cultist (see the signal box cultist entry) who grew up in those very woods> A common Blooded lady from a nearby Haven> A lost Tunnel Brigand on the run from Hounds> Feral Psychopomp from The Forest, trying to find her way home> A Burned-Out Occultist looking for a fresh start The setting has a lot of potential in the NPC area
>>94586385Not a bad idea. I'll give that a look.

During festivities, she may wear a deep black dress with complex patterns made by a local tailor. One of the reasons she cuts her hair short is to conceal small silver hairs brought about by working stress. Gwyn is slightly shorter than the average woman, but has a full bust and hips, with a lightly toned physique brought out by a mixture of harvesting her own reagents but also being a natural student.
>>94587385(2/2)History:>Born to a traveling doctor and his wife, Gwyn watched an obscure mountain village waste away from a strange disease. Soon, even she and her mother were sick. Her mother, seeing Gwyn on the verge of death and her own health weakened, exploded in rage at her husband's quiet focus, angry that they wouldn't have been exposed to the disease if he hadn't tried to cure it. Rather than argue with her, Gwyn's father calmly finished his work and cured his daughter before lying down of exhaustion himself. Waking up the next day, Gwyn found her father had already expired with a serene expression on his face. She distributed the formula instead, saving the village. When she was finished, Gwyn was showered with praise and payment. Her mother, now without her husband and secretly envious of her daughter, left without notice soon after. >Gwyn was provided a home by the local herbalist and her husband, a hunter. Two of their seven children had died of the disease, causing them survivor's guilt at the loss and anger at Gwyn's mother abandoning her. Having nowhere else to go, Gwyn took up residence in the village, becoming a midwife, alchemist, and eventually a proper surgeon. The high altitudes and mystic properties of the mountain range provided her a shield of isolation from the outer world and a distance from the gods. Forced to cultivate an independent understanding of medicine through only the sources she had, she has come to think of herself as a primary source on a variety of subjects- even those she doesn't have expertise in.>Beln took on a motherly role with any child younger than her, missing her own mother and wishing to hasten her own adulthood. Though she has not married, she has watched children grow up in front of her, and secretly longs for a family of her own, something that increasingly drives her to leave her home. She is hastily seeking someone to replace her as an expert in her new home so that she herself can seek out a spouse.

>>94587560NTA, but from what I know from my friends who play Lancer, it's basically giant mech pilots in a far-flung future where science has reached ridiculous extremes and people are basically fine. It's not a horrid dystopia so much as an evolving potential paradise that needs some defending. There are a number of makes of mechs, including one that is operated by an AI that allegedly made contact with a deity and started performing impossible science. The kind of shit where a beam hitting the enemy pilot overloads their brain with memetic information.

His skin is a light tan by default, lightening or darkening over the course of months to better fit the environment he finds himself in. Those that are superstitious consider him some kind of fish-man, but he is a heavily augmented human being. He wears whatever clothing he can scrounge or acquire.
>>94587805History:> Forged to be an ideal soldier, a formerly nameless clone warrior took his very nature into his own hands, tapping into the same instincts of awareness that brought ancient humans into sophontry. Facing identity death and unwilling to be a slave to his creators, he feigned compliance before 'malfunctioning' and fleeing. He was never trained to infiltrate or escape, relying on tricks that risked his very life to spare it- risking his life in five seconds of vacuum exposure to cross an otherwise unthinkable gap to an automated courier ship, it took him two years to recover. During his time of healing, he named himself Earendel, after a star that had once been considered the furthest from Earth. He has no loyalty to his 'brothers' or his creators, and has disposed of all medical restraints.>With a forcibly impressed knowledge of survival and superior senses, Earendel has hidden on Tempest and uses its weather patterns as cover for his own movements. He is a practiced stalker of animals and is capable of hiding from basic scans or human searches, often being mistaken for a natural predator. Despite the conditions of the storms, Earendel has survived on his own for quite some time, but he will eventually need to seek out medical treatment for foodborne parasites.>Much like mythological wildmen, Earendel has come to realize the nature of his sexuality. While he might put on a stoic front of seeking a mate for mere reproductive purposes, the deeper psychological drive behind his would-be lust is a validation of his existence as a unique and valuable thing. If he finds true appreciation and recognition for his inherent value, rather than the tasks he performs, he may find his impulse to survive turned into a powerful protective instinct.
>>94587770You're half right It's full of fucked up sci-fi concepts despite trying to be utopian/post scarcity with Union trying to make a humanity hegemony. The setting itself isn't very well written/thought out for the purposes of creating interesting conflicts except for some of the things mentioned off-hand, assuming you frame it as the developers intended. Basically you're expected to play as union dogs sorting out problems wherever they seem it necessary for you to go, hence the printer liscences and stuff like that.My campaign is set in what would be considered a "diasporan" world or basically just a frontier colony. I tried not to clash with the established canon too much but I did basically ignore most of the lore/backstory and pretty much just made my own tiny setting (the best way to run it IMO).My point is that while it would definitely help to know the basics of the setting, aside from that don't think too hard about the wider universe very much or consider deep more implications. Think of it as a Western almost, with a small community clashing against the wilderness on one side, the distant Federal government on the other, and other localized issues.

>>94586303Awesome, thanks! That's really helpful. Pure crunch wise, I've actually talked to some guys about this and they said that a party consisting of Jason, Hannah, and Marie would place an awful lot of stress onto Marie herself since she's the only caster. To be fair, since their storylines involve being separated, and I don't really intend for Jason, Hannah, and Marie to be on the same team, but still, fun to think about it. Adding Felicia (who, I actually do imagine being on the same party as Jason in an actual hypothetical game as opposed to the double hypothetical we have here) makes Marie far less of a weakspot since there's two casters now.I realize that this party is a hypothetical of a hypothetical, but let's avoid that can of worms for now.Character wise, I really love the fire theme. I also like the "avoids combat unless necessary" - which I think adds another similarity to Marie since she also isn't a huge fan of combat, unlike the two Thame siblings. Honestly, I think it's also sort of cool how we also sorta see in the opposites - the more you talk about Felicia, I keep pointing out what makes her and Marie are similar, while you notice the differences as I talk about Marie. Perhaps we are the Felicia and Marie we made along the way, heh.Now I'll just wait for Hannah's husbando I guess. And I guess you all can wait on me to stop procrastinating while I make Jason's image description thingy.

>>94584602>This both solves this issue of where Katherine is while they are on jobs, and introduces new concerns about having her around edge runners. The kid might end up learning some karate (or te, or bajiquan, or something). It's best to start physical conditioning as young as one can before starting on drills. It might be healthy for Mei to have someone to teach. There are legitimate virtues to fighting, in terms of one's mental health. When you're in the ring, it doesn't matter what kind of day you've been having, what someone said to you in the hallway that morning, or how you feel about your appearance or your marital status or whatever. All that matters is that someone's coming to beat you up, and what you plan on doing about it. Plus, there's a difference between fighting and violence. There is absolutely nothing violent about two people helping each other improve themselves through contests of strength, technique and spirit.>He's firmly stuck in fulfilling safety and physiological needs with his only real outlet for his emotional needs currently being his little sisterMei isn't the best at talking in concrete terms, so the Fixer would have to be the one to bring it up, but it's hard for people in Night City's merc community to trust people without appetites. Mei's pretty hard on the side of "My appetite is all I have and I don't have the right food to sate it," whereas William seems to be in the way of "I refuse to acknowledge my appetite because someone else needs to eat more than I do." The Fixer meets them in the middle with "Everyone thinks they're so noble, starving themselves and calling it virtue. Just eat your fucking food before I break your jaw and force it down your throat myself." Together, they form a Freudian trio.

>>94564441Princess Alexandria Ultima Linea, 5th daughter of Duke Ultima Linea and Lady Knight. She is part of the Order of the Rosebound Wardens, named after St. Roselyne d’Aubeclair, their founder, who are hedge knightess who go aroundbthe country side battling evil and helping those in need. It is said their precence inspires the soldiery to great hieghts, their morale never higher. With a powersword in hand and a ballistic shield in the other, Alexandria is a very model of knighthood. She was born in a military focused dukedom, called Aurelion, that was in charge of The Great Bastion, a large wall that protects the denizens of their side from the Noctis Abyss, a hellish snow realm where everything is twisted with ghouls, ghosts, and the undead. To counteract, the wall has been fortified with AA guns and Howitzer artillery and is never below a moderate skeleton crew always active. She was a bit of a tomboy compared to her other sisters, instead opting to want to play with her brothers as a kid instead of doing feminine things with her mother and older sisters. She may enjoy a tea party here and there or play dollhouse, but 7 out of 10 times, she wants to play with wooden swords with her brothers. Against his wife's wishes to raise a daughter for marriage, her father Duke Skander taught Alexandria the basics of combat. He even hired a knight, named roland, for her to be his squire, seeing how serious she wanted to be a knight like her father. Eventually she was knighted by roland and he even picked out the outfit for her to wear as a new knight. He recommended Alexandria to join the Rosebound Wardens, who despite being an order is more like a guild of female hedge-knights who go out and serve their country independently. Personality: she is a bit of a tomboy, but still has plenty girliness to her. In her party, she is essentially the motherfigure. She tends to be kind and sweet and even nurturing. She is a bit ditzy, but noble and hardworking.
>>94591424There any standout favorites?
>>94574001Reiko Ashgrave. No need for a streetname. Another kid left impoverished by the tower bombing, she's been doing the Westbrook Shuffle since before she knew what it was. Like a lot of kids, she did scrapping to supplement her household income (I pick scrapping as a hustle a lot, and it's because I'm from Detroit. Ask a guy who grew up poor in Detroit within a mile of a scrapyard where he got pocket money from, nine times out of ten, it was pulling copper out of old buildings), but with an entrepreneurial spirit. Metal was fine, but the real finds were always something besides. A corpse from the Fourth Corporate War might yield some old rations, first aid gear, drugs, or weapons. Old vendits almost always meant food, and with the preservatives stuffed into that stuff, it would probably still be good circa 2077. Reiko's prized find as a kid was an Armalite 44, officially off the market once Sternmeyer started gaining more market share, but a reliable 2020's classic modified to fire caseless ammo.Reiko hit her big haul when she and a few friends dug up a shipping crate full of guns and ammo, most of them Militech Ronin assault rifles. She and her friends moved them at a Night Market for a pittance, speaking honestly, but it was more money than any of them had ever seen in their lives. They partied, and then Reiko reinvested. She paid haulers to move storage crates found under rubble, guards for Night Market stalls, and for a set of nice clothes, to pretend to be a legitimate businesswoman purchasing leftover freight. From then on, Reiko Ashgrave was the one who knew how to "get it." You need a gun? Reiko knows someone who just got a new shipment of exactly what you need. You need medicine? Reiko just met a nice ripperdoc who could use some extra business. Some gonks down the street slice up your dad? Rape your girl? Steal your drugs? Reiko just arranged an arms sale to a nice gentleman who would be glad to take care of your problem for you, for a price. 1/3
>>94594490What's her secret? She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. Plenty of fixers will take their finder's fee and walk away, but Reiko gets involved. If she sends you into a shootout, she'll watch your six. If she's sending you into a corpo party for an extraction, she'll make your introduction and let you be her plus-one. Reiko understands that if you can prove you've got skin in the game, show your loyalty to people, then more people than you'd expect will repay it, with interest. But that loyalty comes at a price. If you're part of Reiko's inner circle, her crew, you have to be the best, because that's what her clients expect. The reward is a ticket to the big leagues. She's going to the top, and whoever follows her gets a seat at the table. In this world, you gotta get what's yours, no matter how little of it there is.These days, Reiko has dealings all up and down Night City's east and north sides: tech-crews and the megabuilding construction in Watson, Rocklin Augmentics in New Westbrook, Nomad freight crews in Heywood. Her office is a private booth at a nightclub in Kabuki. Reiko's trademark is a cigarette lighter emblazoned with her personal emblem. To hold one of these is an honor and a privilege, a symbol of "belonging." It means you're at the top of her list, a name in her little black book with a personalized and color-coded tab. To these specially-designated individuals, a full share of every haul, a guaranteed discount on all services (no dealer markup!), a cut of her finder's fee on jobs, and they drink for free. 2/3
>>94594492For all her ambitions, Reiko knows she's never landing a corporate job, or ever really landing real net worth. Even if she can get a seat in an Exec bar or poolside at an Executive Zone McMansion, they'll always see her as a gun pretending to be a person. Fine. Fuck 'em. It is this life's highest honor, and the epitome of street cool, to eat off the same plates as kings and bathe in their jeers. "Is this your divine right, Your Majesty? Because I took it. What's so special about AVs and penthouses when a street rat like me can get them with shit I found in the trash?" Her very existence puts lie to the idea that some are born better. Her family goes unmentioned, because she doesn't talk about them. They run an izakaya in Kabuki, one that's popular with the construction workers (mostly because they're connected to a small group of urban farmers who deal in fresh veg). They're comfortable, pay their protection fees to local gangs on time, and are completely satisfied with their lot in life. Their restaurant is the only place in the world where she drops the hustle-core facade around other people.3/3
>>94589938>having 12 body doesn't necessarily make him a better netrunnerYou would be surprised. No one is ever just one thing. She was missing both eyes from birth. Her parents saw her as a burden, another mouth to feed and with no realistic way of ever being able to help them with the work that needed done. At an early age they gave her to the local church orphanage where she would be raised. She was bullied by the other children, due to her blindness making her mostly unable to help, and ignored by most of the priests and acolytes. All except for the head priest who always showed her great kindness. He was the one who took her in and tried his very best to protect her but he was old and couldn't be everywhere. It wasn't until she began to show signs of strange abilities that things began to change. She began to "see" short glimpses into the future. Sometimes they came to pass and other times circumstances changed and they didn't come true. Originally she hid this revelation from the others for fear of the abuse worsening or them branding her some sort of heretic, but she was forced to reveal it when she saw a vision of the head priest being killed by a window breaking and impaling him. Right before it broke she tackled him out of the way and shielded him with her own body. The whole congregation thanked her and praised her for her bravery, but questions had to be asked. How did she know, and how did she even get to the right place without her sight?1/?
>>94594549>>94595640She came clean and admitted everything to the head priest about her abilities and how she saw his death. Everything and nothing changed after that, the priest declared she was a saint blessed by the gods to protect them. She was taken out of the orphanage and moved into the church proper, given the finest room, and paraded around as a symbol of their righteousness and power. Yet still she was kept away from everyone the clergy respected her and the other children were awestruck but still she had no one that actually treated her like a person. Even the old priest who used to treat her with kindness and watch out for her now acted deferent, she had just become a different kind of untouchable. Her life continued like this for many years people would come to know their futures and she told them what she could. This helped her hone her powers and she found solace in the fact that she could at least finally be useful to the place that had raised her despite her memories of it being mostly bitter. She thought she would live out the rest of her life like this as a symbol of the church and nothing more but fate was never that kind to Cecelia. On a regular trip to a neighboring town for proselytizing, preaching, and parading (for Cecelia). Their small caravan was ambushed by a group of petty thugs looking for an easy mark. They tried to fight back but they had little experience in a fight and it ended in a massacre. It was all the head priest could do to run far enough away and hide Cecelia before any of the men could get her. She hid until she could no longer hear the sounds of struggle and the cries of pain. When it all stopped she followed the direction of the noise back to the devestation that she could only smell, feel, and imagine. She fell to her knees her already loose ties to the church were now slaughtered and she could only hope that someone found her before she starved.2/4
>>94594549>>94595640>>94595644It was hours, days, or perhaps only minutes when she heard the sound of hooves and a single horse approaching. As it got closer she heard a man's voice it was rough and strange, but it was like music to her ears at this point. He surveyed the damage believing everyone dead when he saw the woman blindfolded and curled up on the ground. He asked her if she was alright and she responded slowly at first and then all at once. She told him everything, her whole life's story her parents giving her up, her time in the orphanage, her abilities manifesting, and her time as a symbol. He sat next to her listening intently. When she finished telling him everything he simply said two things. First that she was lady of undeniable strength and character and that no one could ever take that away from her regardless of what she may endure, and secondly he asked her what she wanted to do now? It took her a minute to process this because she had never considered it, after a few minutes of thinking she replied she wanted to go with him because he was the only one who cared about what she wanted even if it was only out of sympathy. The two traveled together for many months after that. Cecelia left behind being an unwanted orphan and church symbol. For the first time in her life she was simply free to be herself. Spending time together the two grew close they listened to music, told stories, and began to fall in love. Cal eventually told Cecelia of his nature and lack of past memories it was her turn to tell him that it didn't matter. He was every bit the brave knight that saved her and he would always be that to her regardless. After that she saw a vision of Cal on one knee with a ring, and mentally she swore she would do everything she could to make that come true.3/4

Despite her rough upbringing she's maintained her compassion for the common people and especially children and will do whatever she can to help them, oppositely she despises banditry and views them as deserving of death given what they did to her and hearing about the suffering they cause elsewhere. >>94594409Well, when I was narrating Jack's epilogue at the end of the session, I flashed forward to his death, then jumped back to the present and established that the first person he helped after settling down in the underground forest was a young lady. Wearing a Hounds uniform too big for her, recently bound to her badge and completely out of rations. He offers her a seat at the fire and a bowl of stew... and that's where the GM took over and let the session end.So, I've got this at the moment."Year One"> Young Hound (female) stumbles on his campfire and Jack welcomes her.> He teaches her to fight, to kill and survive in the underworld, and she helps him care for Damon a little while and build the beginnings of a shelter-- a rickety lean-to, is all, but it serves for the three of them.> A few pulses later, she leaves to do her duty as a Hound, but with a heartsblooded pelt around her shoulders and a few trophies on her back."Year Two"> A heart-born lad from a nearby haven gets lost and ends up at Jack's campsite.> The shifting landscape makes his home impossible to locate, as the Rot pulse gives way to Constrict and the tunnels close, shuffling the arrangement of places.> He takes up gardening, farming darkflowers and edible mushrooms, and finds he likes it enough to stay.> Before the cabin gets built, a lady brigand on the run from the law staggers into their campsite and, in a moment of panic, hides behind Jack, pleading for their help.> Three soldiers stumble into the firelight and ask where she went.> Jack says simply,"She ran past me on this side. I have not seen her since."> Honest, but deceptive.> The soldiers aren't seen again, but the brigand stays with them.> Initially it's out of fear, but then later out of a sense of obligation.Together with the lad and the brigand they build the first version of the Lodge-- a humble hunter's cabin just big enough for a few people.I think this is around the time he'd meet one of his wives.
>>94596540Later, during a particularly brutal Scratch pulse, the ghosts haunting Jack will burn down this cabin, reverting them to something of a large campsite. They're forced to rebuild it larger due to new arrivals-- a few more lost children and other folks from nearby landmarks, also destroyed by the swell of rising ghosts. But when the second and final version of the Hunter's Lodge goes up, it resembles the Great Lodge in God of War: Ragnarök. Half the structure's underground and most of the people living there have a room to themselves.
>>94594490>>94594492>>94594497Thank you anon. Another excellent delivery. It does mke me realize that William is rather one dimensional though. I'll be honest l've been thinking about it and I don't really know what about him would appeal to Reiko. Not my most fleshed out or well considered character. >>94598500The REDmas DLC introduced a new piece of gear for Netrunners. It holds 3 cyberdecks and lets you hotswap them during a run as a meat action at the cost of 3 HP. You can now carry three distinct loadouts for different situations in a NET architecture and combat in the net is no longer a trap. It's a huge game-changer.>I'll be honest l've been thinking about it and I don't really know what about him would appeal to Reiko. The three definitely start as a thrown together crew, one that probably tolerates each other out of professional obligation but aren't necessarily friends at first. Crews have to start somewhere and getting to know each other is part of the process. Fixers in particular tend to be fulcrums for their crews. The common joke in my RED group is that Cyberpunk Edgerunners is what happens when a crew has four Solos and no Fixer. This is a crew that has to learn how to become each other's exceptions.
>>94598688Damn. That really is a huge game changer.
>>94598688>This is a crew that has to learn how to become each other's exceptionsTrue. Be something that develops ovef time, and probably requires some character growth on all sides. >>94602681I mean, if you're cooking up a Witch who looks like one of the Dimitrescu girls I can hardly complain.
>>94598688>The common joke in my RED group is that Cyberpunk Edgerunners is what happens when a crew has four Solos and no FixerHey now, be fair, it was two solos, a netrunner, and a nomad. At least in David's incarnation of the crew. With Maine it was three solos, two netrunners, a nomad, and whatever the fuck Pilar was. I've heard people say techie. But yeah, no fixer in the crew itself.

>>94564441The problem for me is all my main characters already have some kind of love interest, but I guess I'll share anyway. This is Finch, the Flyaway Thief. He was born with a mystical mutation that gave him wings. Because of this the superstitious common folk of the world assumed he was either cursed, or some kind of monster in disguise, causing his parents to abandon him as soon as he became too old to keep hidden from the public, so he was forced to grow up as a street thief, but that's not very hard when you can simply fly away with your stolen haul, but it does make it difficult to stay in one place very long. His only friends where his two adopted brothers, Hawk and Eagle, born with the same mutation and forced into the same life. Growing up without a mother's love left him with a deep subconscious desperation for the affection of beautiful women, which overruled his naturally cautious nature. This lead him to a life finding himself getting coerced into bad decisions by one woman after another. He was talked into a life of piracy by a beautiful lady pirate, until she betrayed him. He was tricked into releasing a beautiful woman from a magic mirror, who turned out to be a demon, and ended up starting an entire war by killing a general who was terrorizing a brothel during his shore leave. He has since made a name for himself as a captain of his own pirate crew, along side his brothers with their own little flying ship. After slaying the previous pirate king he plundered his hoard of hidden treasure, among which was a nymph slave, who Finch has since taken as his girlfriend. Since then she has been frequently been subjecting him to exposure therapy for the blinding beauty of her naked body in order to desensitize him to the effects of other attractive women, and so far it's been working.
>>94604281You forgot Dorio. Pilar, I think, was meant to be their Tech.
>>94606508But, yes: the moral of Edgerunners is that you never let the guy who controls the people who're trying to kill you control the guy responsible for paying you.
>>94606508No Dorio was one of the Solos. My math didn't math and or I didn't count David for some reason. Likely because I'm rather sleep deprived at the moment.
>>94605634We need a new one yeah, but we'd need to figure out who's still here.
>>94607694That's why I've started naming myself at this point. Makes identification easy.
>>94607982That's fair. I'm not a huge fan of names personally. But it does make sense in this context
>>94606524Honestly the Fixer being a player role is really trippy to me. I'm just so used to Mr. Johnson being a DM role that the idea of fixers being integrated in the player group is weird.
>>94612371More cyberpunk games should do it. Fixer and Exec are basically backwards in Cyberpunk. Exec's Teamwork gives them the hookup on people, and Fixer plays like the money-man. Your team gets discounts on shops, freebies on bulk orders, paid more on jobs (the assumption being that the Fixer splits their finder's fee with the crew, I guess), and set up opportunities for some truly sweet deals.Cyberpunk teams should always vet their clients as well as verbally dissect them to figure out if the team's getting fucked. Plus, the middleman's usually the one responsible for distributing payment to the team, so with a Fixer under player control, if a client tries to stiff you, there's really nothing stopping the rest of the party from stringing up the client and beating the money out of them.

Wearing practical armor enough to shrug off a brush with ghoul claws, Salvadoro finds a need to wear little other than his full battle outfit and the underclothes used to keep it on, using his own movement and bulk to keep himself warm. As a heavily-built, muscular courier of a cannon and a lighter but still brutal hammer, Salvadoro is slow but stubborn, and becomes alarmingly mobile when out of ammunition on account of his experience carrying around several stone of gun, powder, and ammunition everywhere.
>>94621235History:>Salvadoro was a gunner for as long as he could be: His parents served to design and manufacture the handgonnes, constructing and testing them. His brother Bravo was an enthusiast for going out into the Noctis Abyss, often testing the weapons in the field. Eventually, one adventure too many forced Bravo to stay in manufacture and pushed Salvadoro into the position of manufacture as well. Salvadoro, having accompanied his brother on several occasions, was already experienced, and proved to save several expeditions singlehandedly with quick thinking, preparation for the worst, and furious action. Despite his accomplishments and physical fitness, Drezdan has no romantic partner, with his devotion to his art having stymied his social development. He is awkward but charming when he has to be, sincere often to a fault and thinking little of himself.

>>94576463>>94621435Lady Corri d'CastoLady Corri is an Aquitanian Lady residing in Lonazep and the second daughter of Aquitanian Knight Siseburt d'Casto. Lady Corri's grandfather was a household knight from one of Aquitaine's reformist families and frequent visitor to Britain during the days of Vortigern and her father, Sir Siesburt, served as a mercenary during the March of Aurelius. Her father was granted an estate and the title of Knight Banneret after catching King Aurelius' eye at the battle of Maisbeli and shortly after moved his family to the shores of Britain. Sir Siesburt quickly became fairly wealthy and continued to find glory in the service of Uther right up until the king's death, which has left the Castos in an uncertain position. Due to Sir Siseburt's estate being a gift, it is unable to be inherited. He is eager to marry off his daughters in the event of his untimely death occurring and rendering his family landless.Corri has spent most of her life in Lonazep, though her family originally hails from Bordeaux. If not for her unusual features or strange religion, most would be unable to tell she is not Cymric. Being Arian Christians, her family has always been regarded as a strange group of foreigners by the more established families of Britain. This is further exacerbated by her family's piety. [2/4]
>>94576463>>94621444Lady Corri and Sir Alan first met briefly at the Great Sword Feast in 487 where the young squire was quite taken by the soft-spoken lady. They did not meet again until the Great victory feast of 490 where Lady Corri was exceptionally impressed by the gallantry of Sir Alan, though his heavy drinking was somewhat off-putting to the lady. Following that eventful feast the two would regularly meet with one another at Christmas Courts throughout the remainder of Uther's reign. After the death of Prince Madoc, Alan found himself in the comforting arms of Lady Corri where they shared a night together. She was (mercifully) not pregnant after the encounter, but she was now seriously considering the prospect of trying to marry the young knight. Corri herself is highly educated and speaks Latin, Aquitanian, and Cymric, as well as being unusually well versed in Faerie Lore. She enjoys dancing, swimming, and reading.Corri is often regarded as somewhat slothful by her peers, something she will readily admit to as she is honest to fault, sometimes too her detriment. While she has a voice for singing, she is far too embarrassed to sing in front of others. Corri is incredibly family oriented and would take to child-rearing wonderfully, though is just as likely to resent the constant traveling knighthood demands.[4/4] Forgot the images, there's a few more I can post

If I had to nitpick, it wouldnjust be some of the terminology, such as hand gunner, handgonne, and powder, i thiught i placed it in the story but i guess i didnt. >>94655611Hmm. I don't think either Dan or Surelda would be religious and being post-apocalyptic nomads doesn't offer much in the way of comfort (either now or growing up), so they might note the date as something that might have had significance once but not really have much concept of Christmas as anything special. However, Yavny society still enthusiastically celebrates it so when they eventually make it there, they would get into the swing of things - while being at about 40°S and having late December as high summer with no aircon doesn't really lend itself to classic winter activities like snuggling up, fires, snow and hot drinks, I imagine they'd spend months saving up ration coupons combined with seasonal extras and a couple of days off the Administration allows to keep morale up to put on a huge fancy dinner together for the household and a few close friends and neighbours as well as exchange a few practical gifts and laze about in the sun in each other's arms and telling stories to the kids somewhere peaceful outside the city. With the pair of them seemingly trying to repopulate the world by themselves, putting this on is a task that gets bigger every year, but they love a purposeful challenge.
>>94654141>>94654480>>94654553>>94655523Merry Christmas chooms. >>94655611On the one hand its Night City, but on the other hand Will would probably take the chance to spoil his sister and his waifus if they were willing to go along with it. I'm gonna say there would probably be a party at the least. >>94657220Sounds like a good time. Nearly done with the waifu for Jack boy. Technically working right now but frankly the office is absolutely dead so I'm just reading through the rue book and working on getting the write up done for your witch. Character creation is done, and I'm pretty sure I did it mostly right. Hopefully I'll have a Christmas present ready for you before work ends and I gotta drive up to spend the holiday with family. >>94657563Might just be because I'm religious myself but I had actually pictured Surelda's family growing up as rather devout. Christian homesteader apocalypse prepper types y'know? I know, and am related to, a lot of them. Hell I have two years of food and water stored in my home too if I'm honest even if I'm not as hard core as a lot of the people I know. Still, whether she kept it up after they died and things went to hell for her is another matter entirely that I hadn't really considered or worked into the write up since I figured it was better to leave the details to you and your preferences.
>>94658649Based Christian prepper anon.Merry Christmas everyone. Completely run off my feet by the season but God bless all of you and have a great Christmas Eve + Christmas day. Wishing an 11/5 waifu irl for all of you from the guy who makes em better than me. And I want to thank you guys for, all my horny nonsense aside, being probably the least toxic, most polite thread on the board. If nothing else let's try to be that everywhere else.
>>94658946God Bless you too OP. Merry Christmas and thanks for starting these threads. It's been the most fun I've had on tg in a while.I really don't think of myself as a prepper. I mean yeah I have food and water but I really need more ammunition and my medical supplies are pathetic. And I don't have a bug out bag, or a plan for bugging out or a safe location to relocate to like some people I know. By proper prepper standards I'm woefully underprepared. I just have a bit of food storage to tide me over for a bit if a small crisis happens is all.
>>94658649I had to try and imagine there to fill in the blank (church attendance tends to take a minor dip in the apocalypse when people have more important things doing on in their lives, their prayers are just going to voicemail and the rest of the congregation and the vicar/priest/pastor are all trying to eat them) but I'll take your word on it. Christian it is - though Dan wouldn't be into it, he'd go along with it to humour her when it comes to Christmas because he knows how much it means to her. Though there might be a few disagreements over how to raise their children when it comes to religion (he's not an atheist per se, just someone who's never really cared or had time to think about it and ultimately decided it's not for him) and given that Yavny is a rump of the Imperial State of Verinsch aka not!Russia, Orthodox Christianity is fairly pervasive and hard to avoid so if you're not religious, a different denomination or want Church separated from State and the education system, tough titties. That said, given there's large refugee communities who brought their religions and denominations of said religions with them (there's a large native Jewish community and significant minorities of Protestants, Catholics, Muslims and Hindus), I'm sure she could find somewhere to go in Glazetsk if she's a practicing Christian or perhaps just has a small shrine at the house. Though it might be less than easy to sing in a church service in sign language.
>>94659083I mean if it doesn't make sense/isn't to your preference there's no reason she has to be religious. It really is up to you. She went through some real shit pretty damn young and lost everything. Even if she had been raised in a devout family that sort of things tends to either break faith, or sometimes make it unshakable. Yeah I'd pictured a Christian upbringing but like I said I hadn't really given any consideration to if she still believed because I didn't want to impose if that was something that would be a problem you or for Dan. Figured I'd just leave it as one of those details that was up in the air. On the subject of religion in the apocalypse personally I think you can keep faith without needing a church house. Yeah you can't exactly go to Sunday service but you can certainly pray and read your scriptures. Like I said things going to hell that's the kind of thing that tends to make or break faith. Some people might see the apocalypse happening and say "God has forsaken us" some might see it and say "Christ's second coming is nigh". You get all types really. It is rather hard to participate in the musical numbers as a mute though. Could maybe learn to play an instrument lol. How's your game been going? Had any sessions in the last month or so?
>>94659033Still more than most people have. Some preparation is ten thousand times better than none.>>94659083>>94659150Yeah disaster usually either causes someone to abandon their beliefs or actually start acting on them. I lost a friend to suicide and let me tell you I fucking see-sawed for a year. In the end I made my choice, God, but it was harrowing to realise how little dedication I had to literally anything but myself before that. Apocalypse means (roughly) 'revealing' and I think that fits. Post apocalyptic stories reveal what a person's like when the chips are down.
Also I'm satisfied(?) with my idea for Jack Mourningval's wife but I'm not satisfied at ALL with her character pic. I'm sort of considering swapping it for 2B and adding a light sensitivity idea to justify the blindfold but using her feels REALLY basic.
>>94659290I kinda hit writers block working on my latest write up so unfortunately I'm probably not delivering today. If you describe the characteristics you are looking for I could do some image searching for you and see if I can help find anything better.
>>94659304Actually when I posted that I think I broke my block. ACTUALLY I'VE GOT IT NOW SWEET.
>>94659150If her parents' faith survived the apocalypse (and they hopefully didn't go drink the koolaid and tweak out huffing the God fumes), they'd have likely raised her into the faith since she would have been either born after the apocalypse like him or very young at the time, too young to have your faith broken by something you're not old enough to understand. I imagined her having been through the wringer during her mid-late teens though exactly what happened to her I don't know (I imagine you deliberately left this part vague) or what she went through before or after that which makes it more difficult to build a picture. As for whether her trauma would have made or broken her faith, could go either way. While I won't begrudge people for their faith, I've been an avowed atheist since I was old enough to make that choice and was not in a community or family that doesn't accept that sort of stance or pushed for religious conformity so I don't know what a true crisis of faith feels like or how people respond in it so I suppose I fell back on what I knew to avoid a topic I'm unfamiliar with and wary of. I know you don't need a church with a service to pray - my mother and sister are non-practicing Anglicans for whom their faith is not a big part of their lives and other people do it in private, but there may be some difference in religious attitudes between America and Europe I'm not understanding of.Ultimately, I want to choose to believe that she kept her faith and was validated by it helping her through the dark time in her life and remains a Christian after the fact though that's not to say it couldn't have changed her attitude to her faith in variety of ways that I don't feel like I'm personally qualified to address. It would provide just a little bit of contrast to help demonstrate that while they have a huge amount in common as people, they are not the same person.
>>94659690While she obviously couldn't sing or join in readings in church, she might enjoy learning how to shred on an organ to participate in the service in her own way. A lot of the churches in Glazetsk are old and were quite lavish back in the day and you bet they have some pipes in the back. Even the non-Orthodox ones.As for the game, we've done one since then, making final preparations to leave. Searching for maps, a solar panel and some batteries that aren't life-expired, collecting supplies and giving the engine some test runs (picture an ugly bastard child of a Budd RDC and BR Class 153). Oh, and smashing a hole in a wall of the map storage room to escape because there's dozens of zombies in the hallway trying to get at you.>>94658946Too right you are, OP. It's been very chill and troll- and argument-free, all together a great series of threads to chat about our guys (and girls), their potential waifus (and husbandos) and our games so far.
>>94659522OP LIVES? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
>>94659522Awesome. Look forward to seeing it. >>94659690>>94659714Maintaining her faith it is then. That's honestly comforting. >exactly what happened to her I don't know (I imagine you deliberately left this part vague)Yes I've been deliberately vague. Because while I know what happened I just can't see her telling Dan. And she's actively trying to hide the evidence as much as she can. When I say the mask stays on I mean the mask stays on. Other than glimpses where it's shifted and ridden up or pulled down unless he tries to take her masks off her he's not seeing what's under there and that's the best shot he has at piecing things together. I just can't see her telling him even after they are married, at least not for a very long time. I'm sure he has his theories, I'm sure you do to. The real question is would he try to peek? Glad to hear your game is going well.
>>94659850Thanks bud, drinking gin with ginger beer and enjoying family Rn. Call your family and tell em you love them guys. And also expect a few Christmas headcanons once Jack's requests are filled.
>>94659949>The real question is would he try to peek?Absolutely not. He's fully aware that there's a huge amount of personal trauma sealed behind that mask and those grey eyes and that this is her way of burying it - he's had a pretty shit life himself and knows she's had it far worse, even if he doesn't know for sure how. If she ever reveals anything (metaphorically or physically), it'll either be on her terms or in an emergency when there's no choice, even if he is frustrated he can't do anything to help directly - only heal their lives together as they continue to build their family, hold her tight during the nightmares and make it crystal clear that she is unconditionally loved, wanted and accepted. But if that's where it is and that's where it stays, does she really need help? They've got their whole lives ahead of them now in a much better place and if it's the price of being able to move on and put some scar tissue over the old wounds, as far as he's concerned, it's one worth paying many times over. It's no longer just a mask, it's an indivisible part of who she is now.Honestly, while I rolled 2 wives, I'm not sure about a second. I feel like these two work better with just each other and their undivided affection.
>>94654141Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas
>>94661122Merry Christmas. So what's the verdict. Architect or not?
>>94661122If it wasn't for the tree I'd say this is by fR the best Gen you've had. Much less of the generic chad face that AI tends to default to.
>>94663803Dm said he liked the way Corri's story intersects with Alan's and wanted to use their shared story for anarchy. Merchant Huelog will definitely be a part of our games in the future though. So I guess one of my allies will be the architect.>>94665915Thanks. Wanted to go for a Christmas pic though.
>>94666458Its pretty awesome that you are getting to use the waifu from this thread in a game. You'll have to tell us how it goes if we're all still around. I wonder if any other anon's will get use out of the characters for their games. I definitely won't, cause my game died, but that's life.
>>94667248Probably won't be for a while though. Dm grabbed as many pendragon books from the sharethreads as he could before they were taken down. He told me he's writing up a schedule for the entire gpc+the Uther extension+2 more years after Camlainn to cram in as many adventure as possible, record created npcs, etc. He's only just finishing writing up the Uther period and he doesn't want to start until hes finished the whole thing, so there's no way of knowing when we're going to continue. If we start soon, and these threads are still around, I'll update Alan's story if anyone still cares.
>>94667377What a pity. It's always enjoyable to hear how people play through the GPC. It's simultaneously a shared experience and yet a completely individual one.
>>94667387Yeah, when you've got a campaign as monstrously awesome as the GPC, you can get some really cool stories from the players who went through it. As long as their games don't fizzle out. Thankfully, ours isn't likely to.
>>94667377>>94667387If this thread wasn't around you could always make one to story time it. I'd read it.
>>94669010I think we all would. After all Pendragon sounds fucking based as shit. Im gonna try and get my DM to run it since im already an Arthurian Myth Nerd.
Hopefully it's just that people are busy with the holidays and this isn't the end.
>>94661122>>94662090>>94663803I'm visiting grandparents right now, and thus, am on a completely new computer. The 15 minute wait is really annoying.Anyhow, so sorry I forgot to say Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday. I kept thinking that I posted my Christmas message only to realize the reason my post wasn't up was because I said I'd wait 15 minutes and just ended up forgetting.>>94672156Yep, that's more or less my case.
>>94672156We should be able to get by for a couple days now. Still have to weather new years but the christmas festivities are mostly over now as far as im aware.
>>94669422I've run Pendragon, including a complete multi-generational campaign, but never a full Great Pendragon Campaign. I came in on 5e, so I don't know the older systems as well, and I don't know the 6e Stafford didn't complete.
>>94669422I have way to many systems to try and convince my players to play, and now thanks to this thread I've added one more. Can't regret it though. Pendragon seems awesome. >>94676655You mind story timing your pendragon campaign a bit?
>>94676724>You mind story timing your pendragon campaign a bit?It was almost a decade ago, sadly, so I might have issues remembering specifics or drop out some details. I took a lot of liberties with the base frame given by Pendragon, so it would probably be unrecognizable to most players of the GPC.I can do it, though. I could also give more generic tips for players and GMs.
>>94676897Actually, casing my memories leaves me almost nothing of what I remember in terms of overarching narrative. I only remember some details, like>Morgan le Fay is not Arthur's sister, but is closer to a more generic pagan witch, she's helpful but a bit proud and sharp-tongued>Lancelot's body and face began burned, and he was more of an edgelord. Resolving his dead dad and getting laid mellowed him out.>One player knight ended up saving Death (hinted to be Hermes) from being trapped >One knight got a rescue romance from one of the Stafford adventures, the one with the thorned knight (Not sure about this) >Party managed to pin local rat bastard Brus Sans Pitie to the wall in a court case, his brother ratted him out before betraying the party way later on>Morgan and Lancelot had a physical relationship and Morgan ended up being the mother of Galahad, who was imbued with the reviving power of Excalibur's sheath (and was also female, a cheerful girl in contrast to her parents).>Party managed the hat trick of surviving the Battle of Badon with all handsI think I storytimed part of this five or so years ago.
>>94677242>Lancelot bagged MorganAnd somehow all of King Arthurs problems evaporate in a single instant. Well i assume Mordred still existed but atleast now he probably isnt an incest baby.
>>94679859It solves so many problems it's insane, but it also requires altering their characterization a lot (at least on Lancelot's part).I could see a GM having Lancelot blissfully serve Morgan as her husband, seeing her as an idealized King's sister and have things go tragic from there.Unfortunately, they're not really part of the same generation in GPC, so it doesn't prevent Mordred there (also because Mordred's mother isn't Morgan le Fey in GPC).
>>94677242If Lancelot slept with Morgan, did he and Guinevere still have an affair? If so, how did the kingdom fall apart in the Twilight period? That is, if it still did.
>>94681112No. It held up, but almost cracked when King Mark led a rebellion as his last act of hatred and rolled up a cannon to Camelot's front gate. Gawain, IIRC, was fatally injured by the weapon in the process of redirecting its fire.
>>94564718May I suggest, as a possible wife for Jack, a hefty heartsblooded woman? with a few mutations/additions that in no way make her a powerful sorcerer I swear.
>>94681222Huh. I woulda figured Mordred would have played a more pivotal role considering Morgan was dealt with. What were his origins in the GPC? Was he just one of the random 40 or so bastards that just didnt get put out to sea like the rest?
>>94684117I, for the life of me, can't remember how I ran Mordred as a character in that game. The players were aware of the problem of Mordred and the party was concerned for Arthur, so I don't think there ended up being a proper Mordred. The closest I remember was doing the 'put out to sea' bit, as orchestrated by Merlin (which is why he ended up leaving the court). Maybe one of the second generation characters somehow convinced him he was actually Lot's son. I don't remember. There was a female character who had a direct romantic interest in Arthur, so he had at least one bastard by her (and that's all I'll say about that).
>>94683605Well, mark me down as scared AND horny.
>>94684117In the GPC, he is canonically the son of Arthur and Lot's wife, who is also Arthur's sister, making him the youngest of the Orkney clan and a younger brother to Gawain.Speaking of which...If you guys had to craft a waifu for Mordred, what would she be like? I can post the stats for 4E Mordred and 5E Mordred: Note that 5E Mordred gets screwed by character creation and has far worse APP than 4E Mordred.
>"Beloved, your prey is ne- did I embarrass you? Would you prefer 'master'? ... Beloved it is then.">"None can stretch my limbs as you can. Why would I care that the others can hear? I want them to. Misunderstood? What do you mean?..... Yes? I meant that too.">"I don't know why you keep that hussy in your pack. She can't compare to my range... Quicker than me? I bet she is.">"What is the surface like?"A great craftsman carved a weapon from enchanted wood, clasped it with silver and named the long, elegant extinction bow Torla. Its range and accuracy almost impossible to match. It was used to fell butchers, raiders, and even fired arrows at the Heart's own slaves, all in defense of a colony of beautiful, rabbit eared women. Not the strangest thing in the Heart by a long shot. But the bow was lost, the Cleaver who carried her gave her life to draw the primeval Forest to form a wall blocking her home from invasion. That was where Jack found it. (1/?)
>>94686060The bow's slender design belied its incredible power, and Jack verbally praised the smooth elegance and supple firmness of its limbs, the tastefulness of its silver chasing and the beauty of its white bowstring around the campfire many times after escaping the forest he found it in.It was one of those times when he was carefully wiping its limbs with oil, that it turned Into a tall, beautiful, white haired woman wearing silver ornaments and little else, and said "Go on."She answers to the bow's name, and only answers to Jack. She's very blunt. She considers herself his weapon and explicitly refers to him as her owner. If asked, she doesn't call herself his wife, she thinks him calling her his wife is silly, she's a Bow, but since he DOES say so she responds to any attempt to flirt with her by anyone else with a brutal shut-down, she's contemptuous of petty thieves, and considers trying to steal an expensive weapon like herself from her obvious and rightful owner to be disgusting. She has no jealousy of other women courting Jack Mourningval, and thinks it's ridiculous for them to be threatened by her: she's a bow, and while she happily, lovingly and with all the rabbitlike enthusiasm you'd imagine shares his bed, she doesn't think for a second that Jack would see her as a Real spouse, and happily points out women she think would make good wives for him. But Very rarely (she has the highest of standards for her owner). (2/3)
>>94686125She has told her owner about the hidden town behind the forest he found her in, but neither can remember the exact route. One attempt lead to something similar, his second wife (though she doesn't consider the term fitting any more than his first does): a second Bow by the same maker. Upon finding it, Torla gained the ability to enter a rapier form, as well as her bow and human forms. But that's another story. Torla is as flexible and accurate as a mortal can be, and grants Jack slightly enhanced damage and accuracy whenever he's attacking the largest target present. In human form she grants herself the same power, and often wields his second wife as ("an inferior quality" - Torla) sword of bow if Jack is busy. It's unclear if she can have children. But it's true what they say about rabbits, and she's GOING to find out. (3/3)
>>94686164Forgot pic.
>>94686167>>94686164>>94686125>>94686060Living weapon wives. Not the angle I was expecting (thatswhatshesaid) but I'm hearing you out.
>>94686225I'm also strongly considering a pair of non weapon wives just because you had to wait so long. But I'm getting these down NOW while I can.
>>94686234Frankly, I'm just curious where it's going. Love me a tan rabbit girl.
>"I saw you eyeing that bowyers stall. Adulterer~">"I understand. Torla just isn't as good for as many 'shots' as quickly as I am. I'm built to take as many as hard as you need. Misunderstanding?... No, that's exactly what I meant.">"Forgive my distraction, I was remembering the battle earlier. And you sharpening my curves before that. Your hands are just so strong and yet so gentle, strong enough to rip enemies apart and precise enough- I know she can hear. I think she'd make you a good wife. Torla disagrees? Good.">"Promise not to abandon me?">"Torla turns into a straight sword. A straight. Sword."Fey was the second weapon by Torla's maker that Jack found. Both insist (usually chest to chest and glaring) that the other was a prototype made earlier, and is thus older and rusty and good for selling. Which usually then leads to both arguing that they would be more expensive. In her sword form, Fey is an elegant steel katana, and in Bow form a metal recurved bow, curves which are fully pronounced in her human form. She's a foot (at least) shorter than Torla, but slightly more emotive and flirtatious, inspiring Torla to be similar as she shorter weapon shamelessly flaunts her ridiculous curves to Jack. (1/?)
>>94686333Fey was designed to look like her crafter's image of a perfectly attractive woman, as such her appearance changes to slightly resemble whichever woman Jack most finds attractive at present. Fey and Torla know this and it's a frequent topic of their arguments, especially when Fey's figure most resembles her plush, short self or Torla's statuesque, lithe beauty. If it's neither of them she resembles, both studiously try to figure out which woman it is snd urge their owner to court her. A side effect of her beauty is that in any of her forms, robbers often try to kidnap or steal her. Her darkest fear is being stolen and lost to the heart. She sleeps wrapped around Jack, as his size compared to her lesser height makes her feel that he's big and strong enough to scare away any other man. Or "lesser man" as she and Torla casually refer to any other man besides Jack as regardless of company. (2/3)
>>94686384In her sword or bow forms, she allows Jack to make an extra attack as long as it's at a different target. Additionally she can cause an opponent to focus on her/her wielder instead of their current target until damaged by something else. She and Torla can wield each other in battle, but are constantly degrading of the other's quality the whole time. While doing so, both of them can do use both their powers and the other's. (3/3)
OK. Might revisit them or just expand on them if not add more wives, but Jack FINALLY has wives.
Also Torla uses Fey to chop firewood if she's lying around in sword form, and to clear brush if she needs to. Fey is annoyed by this but uses it as a chance to smugly call herself more useful than Fey.Both of them try to be as nurturing and protective as possible toward Jack's adopted kid, both striving to be called "mom" or "mother" before the other. Totla is a hunter, and often does pulls up or gymnastics in the forest near his lodge. Fey is more lazy, likes hanging off his arms on dates, gives great shoulder massages and likes to buy jewelry to hang off his antlers.

>>94693674>sister of not!battle (you'll see) and xenos wife pairing for WilliamI like the contrast. Curious to see what you're cooking.
We don't seem to have a strict set of rules here, but is there any reason an anon who was also done a character's wives couldn't still post them, even if OP or another wife anon already did?
>>94693996Not at all. More the merrier! Arthur anon has three because I forgot an anon had done one for him previously so there's precedent.
>>94693996More waifus are always welcome.
>>94694368>>94694135In that case, I have wives for Mr Jack Mournival. Not exact, my visual references but these will do for now.The first of two is a human Witch. An extremely short (4'6") pale woman with dark hair, tattoos that shift under her skin, and a stacked, curvaceous figure.A wandering healer named Dahlia, specializing in disease, she arrives around the time they first build their cabin (>>94596540) and provides her services, convinced by omens she's seen that she's found her place. She's a gentle, motherly presence, nurturing young Damon's potential as a Witch, tending to Jack's wounds when he returns from his nastier hunts and warming his bed. She's also rather naughty once the hunter warms to her, prone to subtle innuendos and casual caresses she pretends are less than they are.
>>94694689The other of the two is a towering Drow lady, clad head to toe in a nobleborn's attire and with an inexplicably Aelfir name-- Artemisia Steel-Under-Starlight is a member of the Gryndel Hunting Club, and best known as a crack shot with a ridiculous, overdesigned hunting rifle, and a moonsilver greatsword easily the size of a human being. Tall, lithe and strong, with no heartsblood mutations to be found. She arrives at the Lodge after Dahlia, following the legends of a towering beast-man, a Godbeast of The Forest on two legs. What she finds is not far off, but she ends up staying with them, as the game in the underground is better and the beast man certainly earns her respect. She's a haughty, reckless woman, a lesser noble of Derelictus made coarse by her time underground, but once she ends up at the Lodge she begins to find her place with them. She's still a pompous bitch of a woman, but she's well enough liked, the children enjoy her stories, and she rivals Jack as a hunter, just barely.
>>94694762That's all I've really got, but I figure Jack-anon will flesh out the concepts some, if he likes them.
>>94694689>>94694762Nice anon, I think of the canonicity as up to the player when it comes to wives by me and an anon, but I think Fey and Torla would support these two marrying Jack.
>>94694800Thank you OP. You honor me with your endorsment. And for what it's worth, I think Fey and Torla are lovely weapons and ladies.
>>94694814They would strongly agree with the weapon part (each for herself not the other) and dismiss the lady part. They're bows and swords. They're property, tools. Jack's wives are ladies.
>>94694814Also expanding on it. Witch wife is even shorter than Fey, and described as stacked and curvy, like Fey, and Artemisia is busty but more tall and fit like Torla. One is more subtly or not so subtly flirtatious like Fey and the other is more haughty and athletic like Torla. I think both weapons would have backed Jack marrying both wives, but they all also see each as a member of their 'faction' so to speak. Also neither weapon would let one of the wives wield them unless Jack ordered them to and/or the wives described themselves as belonging to Jack, even just as a token gesture.
Happy-go-lucky human male fighter. Allergic to any responsibility, likes to wander the world and seek adventure. Very cheerful and laid-back.I know he's pretty generic but he's fun to play.
>>94694966I'll take it if OP is busy. Anything I should know about him? Is the setting generic or specific? Does he have specific tastes?
>>94695171He's a level 7 fighter in Pathfinder 2e. I created him because I'm very depressed and wanted to create a character who was the opposite of me in real life.
>>94686333>>94686384>>94686408Damn, got that 2B faceclaim. I also really like the concept of a weapon waifu.>>94686963Honestly? I actually like the patterns. It adds a unique flair to each girl, like we're giving her traits like we're her father or something. Other Wife Anon adds more driven and sometimes assertive girls for instance - take a look at Felicia, Jason's waifu! The girls are also often (but not always) outcasts that come from lonely childhoods, whether they're rich or poor, and it adds a unique spin that adds the Other Wife Anon spin to things.. At the end of the day, everyone has their own unique twist on things that gives the creation their marker - which in a way, fits perfectly into the board we're in.
>>94694781>>94694762>>94694689This, I love. Beautifully done. Going to write something for this later I think.
