>>94721573If we can safely rule out a form of blood sorcery, then no. I am not aware of any Kindred lineage with powers over ice, or the cold. Are you certain the culprit was Kindred? Reviewing your statement, it wiped out a group of shovelheads, yes? While the most common killer of Kindred is another Kindred, we can't rule it out. The Sabbat's unsubtle and aggressive way of unlife causes them to run afoul of other supernaturals more often than other Kindred who try to keep a low profile. On more than one occasion I have had to deal with someone or something "in the know" that had a very low opinion of vampires for this reason.Practically, it could be a mortal capable of magic. This is unlikely (but not impossible) due to the one who had his head ripped off. Or a Lupine, I understand their powers vary more wildly than ours. Or it was a thaumaturge. Apparently, Tzimisce blood mages are more common than I thought, so it being America rules nothing out... but the victims and location does not suggest Tzimisce. If you can't get anything further from the scene of the crime, look elsewhere. Keep your ear to the ground, someone might know what those Sabbat were up to that fateful evening. You also saw someone watching you? You could also see if anyone matching his description, however vague, is a known figure.
Oh and before I step away from the computer for the evening. A question to stimulate conversation. What is something about your clan curse that has shaped your perception of unlife? For example, as a Ventrue, much of the discussion about blood does not register for me. I can only feed from a certain subset of people. Everything else tastes so abhorrent that I can't stomach any other blood. Even the smell of it is mildly repellent. I can taste and then spit out a drop of swill blood and discern oh so much about the one to whom it belonged, but it is akin to a tracker tasting dirt. On the other hand, digestible blood is so heavenly that I do not understand those who long for mortal foods. I tried my favorite meal on the one year anniversary of my embrace. It tasted like cardboard. Whenever there is a conversation about blood, I have little to add, and what I could add I dare not say for fear of giving away my specific tastes. So I wonder how the curses of the other clans color their perception of unlife.
>>94721784I've seen werewolf attacks, they aren't like this. Also I don't know of any blood-mage that could do this. As for the watcher I saw, found nothing. Checked the local nossies and they came up with nothing. Nobody I talked to knew anything about a person with that description. Honestly I'm getting a little spooked and also silently dreading having to tell my boss that the culprit was some angry snowman and a tall weirdo watching like some kind of voyeur, no doubt I will get yelled at and my pay reduced until I can figure out what did this.
>>94721627Happy New Year Everyone! How's the new year been in each of your respective parts of the world? Here in our little slice of nowhere fucking lupines rolled into town. The Chantry went into full lockdown—again. The Prince and the other licks went into hiding. Fortunately, the dogs were just passing through. There were 9 of them all in all by my count. Why would so many mutts travel together?
>>94721905War. The lupines are like flocks of ravens following large groups of well armed humans. I mean those specific lupines you saw, not wolves in general, were of otherwise.Remember the Stripper said a Cardinal had work for her Sire? There's like, 13 of those guys. Veeeeeery high up in the Bat. Then Stripper gets an assignment, and Thailog catches another Sabbat pack forward observer. The Sabbat are gearing up for a continent wide push, the Werewolves have learned of this, and they're on the march, getting ready to ash any sucker they can catch. Wether troops on the march, the defeated trying to escape, or refugees suddenly without a home.As for >>94721822Hard to tell. I know that everyone says our Clan curse is insanity. I know, from my mortal profession as a psychiatrist, that delusions, by their very nature, are unrecognizable by the sufferer. (If you see something utterly unbelievable and are genuinely capable of asking if you are going crazy, the fact that you can ask that question proves you are not.)So If my Clan Curse is real and not just malicious whispers from Vampires jealous of the one Clan without a curse I honestly couldn't tell you how it's affected me.

>>94721652Brag about it while you can, dust bunny.
Sorry for the technical difficulties earlier. Some Baali seems to have been tailing me since the incident near Carpathia. Fucker stole my phone while I was out feeding, then decided to have some fun impersonating me, I guess. No idea what the artifacting was, but I figure I should probably get a new one, just in case he did something weird to it like, idk, inscribe summoning circles onto my sim-card or some shit.
>>94722106Watch our for demonic possession. Ive seen too many licks in Baali dens naively pick up a ringing phone only to have their heads chomped off
>>94722321Duly noted, I'll be getting a new one asap. Though it'll have to wait until after I comb over the RV to see if he's left any other surprises.Might even need to get a new one of those too, fucker could have shared my license plate with his buddies. If there's anything I've been assured of regarding the Baali, there's never just one around. What a shit start to the new year.As for your big furry problem, from what little of them I've been told about, if they're moving in packs, it means they're on a mission to wreck something or someone. So unless they're heading for your chantry, best to just keep laying low and watch the news for their activities.
>>94721822>Checked To me, belonging to a Clan was a Weakness in and on itself. It feels so much better now.>>94721784It's Elsa. She's got ice powers and is Scandinavian-coded, which implies she's tall. Let it go. Let it go. Turn away and slam the door.>>94721905Over here, things proceeded mostly as expected. Lots of drinking from intoxicated people led to one of the Elders I have been mentoring starting the new year with an accidentally broken nose. Since he didn't lash out on anybody, it seems the mentoring has been proving fruitful, which is always nice. This is what we set out to do here—have a good time, make some mistakes of the non-violent kind, mingle with Mortals, and get more intimate with our Humanity. Local Camarilla, however, overplayed a disease outbreak in the Mortal population and tried to pin it on a Gangrel neonate that's part of my current travelling party, a clear attempt at extortion—every year there's an outbreak like that around this time of the year. Not exactly what I expected, but I assumed there would be some sort of nonsense from the locals when the pisspants decided to present himself to the Prince and whatnot.I have neither the patience nor the inclination to deal with a frankly incompetent Prince or his incompetent Primigen, and since we already got what we wanted here—to spend the end of the year feeding off the intoxicated tourists, for the most part—we might just lift up camp in the next few days, and save us the trouble. They only know of the Neonate, and I'd like to keep things this way.>>94722043We sort of elected Chelys to be Werewolf Bait here. Such bravery will always be fondly remembered by /schreck/. Now, being serious here—stay safe out there.
>>94722454cannot confirm if theyre the one the Werewolf is after. The web voices tell me things, but i cant really ask questions outside of a few lucid situations.
>>94722530You forget there is more than one Gangrel here, and we're the ones wandering around wolf turf. Not a lot of wolves in the cities, they mostly hate them with a passion.Wouldn't be surprised if I had one or two following me around right now. This is prime untouched wilderness. Figure they aren't too sure what I am, so they aren't getting too close.>>94721822My hair turns green whenever I travel into more temperate climates. Polar bears have hollow fur, to better retain heat. Because of this, algae can sneak inside and propagate if they aren't in freezing cold climates. I have to wear full face and head covers after a frenzy, because people don't have big black noses and their ears aren't supposed to be so big, round, and fuzzy. Takes a couple nights for the big tells to fade.
>>94722443>>94722454>>94722530Thanks, that's reassuringLike you guys said they're probably headed out west for Sabbat's European expansion efforts
>>94721822That's an interesting question. For me it's mostly a problem with tremere. They want to see everything clearly, so there's a tendancy for a chantry to be lit up like a desert at noon. Ghouls and neonates too, fumble around in even mild darkness without auspex. On the other hands, it's done wonders for my familiarity with the lasombra. Even more than other serpents, I am comfortable in a pitch blackness which few besides the keepers find amenable.I do wonder sometimes how much the dull psychological ache of brightly lit rooms has influenced my view of the camarilla, but then I find roses prefer more appropriate mood lighting anyway. I hardly think it's the cause of my concerns with the self-titled lords.>On the other hand, digestible blood is so heavenly that I do not understand those who long for mortal foods. You were a ghoul before the embrace, right? I suspect that the more modern trend of sudden embraces is just leaving people with a longing they mix up with the delight of the blood, and the heady presence of the beast and disjunction from their former mindset leads to confusing the hunger with mere mortal gluttony. How many of the licks who say they crave the chance to eat again are saying so having not had an uncursed bite since they first tasted vitae? They may have no basis for comparison.>>94722043They don't take the sombreros off when you do look either, though.>>94721509No? She drilled Hakthortep's ass for bullshitting primarily, but also for having a weak sales pitch and making the temple look bad. I don't know why you think that involves getting mad.He was on the wrong side of intrafactional politics, anyway. Getting high off his own supply vs. the hierophants, pentex vs. BSDs, etc.. Nobody hates a schimisitic more than a schimistic who thinks they're part of the true church.
>>94721905. . .Have any big businesses rolled into town coinciding with the locals humans acting and their blood tasting, a bit off?
>>94723053>She drilled Hakthortep's ass for bullshitting primarilyAnat's a girl?
>>94723886It's what the character sheet says, but much like she's supposed to behave like an ancillae, she behaves like a boy.

>>94724282>He thinks eunuch is a gender.

>>94722043>The sabbat wear sombreros when nobody is lookingMy sire wore a sombrero even when I was looking. Then again, he's a Lasombra elder with a sense of humor. Fuck if I know why he does anything.
>>94721822Fortunately, I have been able to pass off my preference for dim lighting in my office as an eccentricity. The lights in the lecture hall are a tad annoying, but manageable. The worst are the lights in the archive room and artifact storage at the museum. I find them particularly distracting when working alongside the conservators.>>94721905Things are relatively normal. A mortal acquaintance of mine is hosting a fundraiser event for his museum, as they plan to open a new wing focused on ancient China this year. I'll be attending that to provide some assistance and he'll want me to wear a nice dress.A group of Anarchs were caught peddling werewolf blood a few nights ago. Apparently they had one held captive in a basement and were bleeding it once a week. Now the city is bracing for when a gang of Lupines show up looking for their missing packmate. The dean of my department also appears to be stalking me. I'm not certain if she is growing suspicious of my true nature or if it's just a matter of personal dislike. I'll have to keep an eye on her.I've also been told by one of my students that I'm in need of a "handle" for online communication. I didn't have any ideas at the moment however. Something to ponder during tonight's fundraiser event perhaps.
>>94725093I hindsight, I suppose things aren't all that normal after all. C'est la vie.
Well, I got my answer as to what Winter-Wonderland ass thing murdered those shovelheads. Just saw a group of anarchs that I was going to grill for info get attacked by some strange humanoid thing. It had a bluish corpse like appearance. When it touched one of the anarachs the part that was touched turned black and looked rotten as ice crept up their body. I hid to watch and gather info as there's no way I am in anyway prepared to fight that thing. What the fuck even is that?
>>94721822I used to enjoy traveling. Not that it's impossible, only far more difficult and my appearance is considered bizarre and unhealthy by all but the blind. Going to symposiums, attending assemblies, I was a member of more academic societies than I could list when I had a heartbeat, and my name was known in conference halls from Massachusetts to Morocco. I learned a compendium's worth of information every trip, and I never felt the need to slow my pace or halt my learning. My embrace has afforded more for me than I would have ever been capable of as a mortal, but all too often I reflect on the glacial pace in which I attain new knowledge. Without my curse, I could find the solutions to my quandaries in days, rather than toiling, hoarding, slaving over rumors, ghost stories, articles, documents, blog posts for weeks, months, years on end, all to approximate a baseless solution that I'll need to test endlessly to discover the truth behind.I know not every Tzimisce allows our curse to chain them to their roost, even my own sire still travels the world nightly, but I must disagree with the methods. My curse is my weakness, and my curse mandates that it be brought with me, that it must follow me, lest I fall into a withered state, and likely perish. It's simply too great a risk for one without the disposable warriors, koldunic rituals or convoluted schemes to regularly indulge in such pleasures. Too easy for an enemy to take advantage of my sizeable, overbearing, obvious weakness. Too dangerous for one without a war party or a band of mercenaries to garrison my daytime resting place and watch over my every activity nightly. Bluntly, the very idea is unsettling to me.
>>94721841>>94725333I honestly have no idea what that could be. It could be anything, or an entirely unknown entity. What it is really does not matter at this juncture. What matters is what it is capable of and why it is attacking Kindred. Dealing with it is more important than classification. First Sabbat and then Anarchs, it seems to be doing the Sheriff's job for him, but that would just be wishful thinking. More likely it doesn't discriminate between Kindred. This is not something you can handle alone. Time for you to learn the art of the spin. You have not "failed to discover what attacked the shovelheads". Instead you have brought your boss "dire information about a grave and unknown foe that could pose a threat to us all." You simply could not wait any longer to gather any more interest, you have to warn him or her about the threat it poses. That isn't even a lie. It has established a pattern of attacking our kind, that is urgent information your bosses need to know. We tolerate each other for protection, you must raise the alarm while you still can. >>94723053I was not a ghoul, but I was subtly conditioned for almost a decade before my embrace. A groomed embrace is the term I have heard used. Many Ventrue fear time spent as a ghoul will make their childer too servile to be effective leaders. I don't know if it is your intention, but I find there's a bitterness that underpins most of Anat's posts. Not outright anger, but venom, pardon the accidental pun. The lambasting of Hakthortep was quite severe and you did call him out for his temple working with a bane mummy. I can see the wyrm influence in hindsight, and honestly Setite lore is not my strong suit. Conveying tone over text is a bitch anyway. I reread my posts before making them and even then I worry I'm coming off differently from what I intend.
>>94725621um, Lady gimme a minute that tall mfer I saw earlier is closer and is staring directly at me even though I'm using my invis. can't exactly move right now and can't call my boss besides, usual procedure is examine until the threat has left then report back. I don't want them tracking me.
>>94721822The intrusive thoughts come more frequently. And they're louder. More insistent. Just the other day I was chatting up a potential meal in a dive bar, he ordered a fresh round of drinks (I can keep it down long enough to seem normal) I see the bartender deliberately lean over to give him a glance down her blouse. Just flirting for tips, I know it means nothing, but I have a crystal clear image of me grabbing that bitch by the hair and slamming her face first through the bar for intruding on MY hunt.I think this is what testosterone feels like. I'm like a teenage boy ready to throw hands. I want to so bad I don't even need provocation, I can find insult where I know full well none is intended. But I also feel like letting myself get goaded means I've lost. I've been read like a book and played like a fiddle, and that's not cool. It's embarrassing at best and could get me killed at worst. So I practice anger management. I meditate. I go online and wait for trolls to throw their impotent insults around to practice keeping my shit together. I pay very close attention to how I feel and am always ready to clamp down.So far, so good. I haven't raged put since that time Horseman deliberately pushed me to it.>>94725093Wait, what? What? How in the flying fucking shit of Hell did they manage to capture a werewolf and keep it sedated to regularly harvest blood?!
>>94726684>How in the flying fucking shit of Hell did they manage to capture a werewolf and keep it sedatedIt sounds like a Tremere thing to do, and I can only imagine that, besides severe Tzimisce mutilation, the only way to capture and contain a werewolf is by some magical means. But anon also said anarch so it's really confusing, my next best guess is that they're just the patsy for the Tremere
Whelp now I know why I never found tracks at the attack on those shovelheads. Tall fucker stared me dead in the eyes with a smile that was too wide and snapped his fingers and that cold-corpse looking thing just disintegrated in a flash of blue flame, he then walked right past me, out the door and patted my head like a dog when I walked by me. I get the distinct impression that I am screwed, gonna wait a bit before heading back to my boss. not gonna lie that was the first time in years I actually felt fear like that.

>>94725798>>94726760There is a silver lining. If he wanted you to suffer final death, you would have already. So at best he holds no ill will towards you, at worst he has a reason to keep you around for now. Given that you were sent to investigate his actions, perhaps he wants you to deliver all that you have seen to your master. Convey it in full and honestly, note how you were spared. Comply as best you can with its nebulous agenda until it is gone or you learn how to destroy it. Lastly, seek protection and shelter through your elders. It has only targeted shovelheads and anarchs so far. The young and weak. This implies a limit to his power, though we musn't jump to conclusions. Good luck, Kindred.
>>94728254Lady, he saw right through my obfuscate invisibility, I am good enough at it to be invisible to even cameras and electronic devices. By all accounts he shouldn't have seen me but I fucking know he did. Sorry, still a little freaked out. I've calmed myself a bit. Now for more info:What I can gather based on his actions is that he was watching the corpse-thing fight, I never saw him take part in it, only watch. It reminds me of something from my human days, back when I was a kid my family used to raise dogs for things like pest control, we'd often pit the dogs against an easier target like rats before letting them take a swing at raccoons; for some reason I get the feeling that the tallman was doing the same. Do you think it's possible that the ice-thing was like a trained dog going through a field test?

If you're willing to take stupid risks and know that some day it's going to push through the compulsion and rip you in half, you have plenty of options to fuck with werewolves. They just reflect poorly on your life expectancy.>>94726760Most obvious suspicion for me would be that he is some manner of necromancer and it is a spirit of the dead, then. Who knows, he may be obligated not to attack camarilla without good reason.>>94728297Sure. Flyboy bound something big, wants to put it through it's paces somewhere safe killing vermin, probably going to send it to assassinate someone after. If you're stalking him for your boss, relaying information up the chain about how to identify tallman later and signs of the entity's passing should be useful for finding a culprit if it's used to kill someone important later.>>94728635I thought counter-magic was supposed to be a secret?
>>94725621>I was not a ghoulSo you never tasted vitae before the embrace then?I suppose you're still in a better position to compare the taste to assuaging the hunger, since I imagine your fascimile of eating is a lot better than at least mine, if not half the current membership of this forum.>Many Ventrue fear time spent as a ghoul will make their childer too servile to be effective leaders.See, they have nobody to blame for this but their own hides. You can just treat a ghoul differently, and they won't be submissive and dependant. The tzimisce and tremere certainly haven't had any issues with their childe being lacking in ambition and or aggression.>I find there's a bitterness that underpins most of Anat's postsShe's a sore winner, basically. Not only is she the worst strain of gnostic / death-cult-buddhist, because she believes in essentially outside intervention (even if it is something that is going to be brought about through private actions inside the world) she doesn't have any real degree of personal enlightenment and hasn't made peace with the world or her desires at all. And boy oh boy, does she have some desires: she's been hooked on the most addictive substance known to man (Vitae) since she was ~14 and didn't take long after her embrace to switch to something a lot harder. Add on that she expects to have to wait and suffer ~424874* years of holding back the beast with sheer gnostic disdain for reality and you can get the picture. In her mind, she has already won, but she resents that she still has to play out the game.*Set's embrace was about 2k years before Krishna's death to mark the start of the Kali Yuga. Could be 430000 years if the marker was Set's disappearance in 33BC instead.
>>94726684>>94726700>>94728363>>94728795From what I heard, it looks to have been a combination of mental disciplines and barbed chain inscribed with wards against Lupines driven into its body. These Anarchs did not have any Tremere in their coterie, so I suspect they enlisted the services of a local Tremere for the wards. In this city, there is one young Tremere in particular who is known to offer his services to anyone willing to pay. I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved. The Ma'at of our city seems to giving way to Isfet. A tanker truck was found overturned and ripped to pieces on the highway just outside the city limits. The tank was filled with water instead of fuel and there were unknown vampires inside. Probably Sabbat from one of the many nearby strongholds. I have my suspicions on what sent them to Final Death, of course. More and more unknown Kindred seem to be turning up recently. On a positive note, the fundraiser event was quite the success. Marcus was quite pleased with the dress I chose.I noticed something strange on the way back to my residence. The historic lighthouse was emitting a strange... light isn't the right word. It was more like... anti-light? I'll need to look into this.

>>94721822Much like for you discussions about blood don't mean anything, for me, all the pontificating about the beast in these threads just doesn't apply. When all your beast does is get you to act like an animal, it must feel easy to think you can keep it under control, not so when your beast is very clearly the worst part of yourself made manifest, whose only desire is to drag you into the mud, not because it's an animal, but because it wants to turn you into one as well.Another spin, another bet, another coin toss, it keeps gnawing until I've lost everything, and then it keeps gnawing some more.I have it better than certain clanmates of mine (worst I've encountered was a guy whose beast wanted him to molest children, dude never went outside without friends around to stop him if need be), but the thing with gambling is that it's fucking everywhere if you're looking out for it. It's not called The Inner Psychopath, it's called the BEAST for a reason.Unfortunately, in order to understand exactly where you end and the Beast starts, you'd have to be possessed by other entities multiple times until you acquire enough experience in those matters to be able to tell exactly Where and What your Self actually is, and knowledge like that comes at a heavy price—if you're not gonna use expensive knowlede for something important, it's honestly better to be unsure about certain things. It's also unfortunate that its not the type of knowledge that is transferable, so nobody can tell you where and how those things work in a substantial manner, you have to experience it yourself to understand, as it's knowledge derived from a deeply personal experience. Buuuuut if you have other ideas on how to approach the problem in a less dangerous manner, I am all ears. Or eyes, in this case.
>>94728297It is entirely possible it is training this servant. But then I would ask myself why take the risk of leaving a witness who could warn the more dangerous future targets? It would be needlessly showing your hand and adding an additional point of failure to your plan. If I were training a kindred killing entity of some sort, I would have it cut its teeth in a city far away from the actual target, so that the target has little chance of being warned. The others have given sound advice, contact your boss urgently yet as safely as possible, as this man may be using you to get to said boss. You may even wish to contact him remotely. I have been in your shoes before, under the gaze of a being far more powerful than you. You must do all you can to keep an even temper and clear head. It has targeted shovelheads then anarchs. Are you Camarilla? Or is your master of another faction?>>94728797It isn't unheard of for ghouls to be embraced, but it is not a rule or common. Besides, Tremere and Tzimisce ambition is different. Tremere ambition comes from either a hatred of their forced servility, or a slavish devotion to their pyramid. Tzimisce are virtually all eccentrics at a minimum. Before talking to the civil ones here, I would have said something far worse.Contrary to popular belief, we Ventrue are self aware. We are naturally dominating. We know this, so we plan around it. If you know you are going to ruin a potentially magnificent heir if you ghoul them... don't ghoul them. There are other ways to prepare your future childer for unlife. That's very cool.
Well, the lupine prophecy held some water. Opening night is in a few days. Jimothy and Ted (the local gangrel) were patrolling the properties perimeter in the evening while I was putting the finishing touches on some brews and wines., and starting some protection rituals around the building. Next thing I know Jimothy is screaming and firing his 45-70 and Ted is howling in pain. They both make a retreat to the main house, I imagine his celerity came in handy there. When they get in, Jimothy is paler than us kindred, and Ted is missing an arm. I reach out with the way of spirit and see a life with an aura I’ve never seen before. Different than kine, but FAR more vibrant. And it just disappears. It pops back in about a kilometer from the main house, and I grab it with the soil there and smite it once as if it had insulted some forgotten storm god. But it’s gone again. There’s singed fur on the dirt but its presence is gone. I’ve never seen kindred be afraid or crying in Ted’s case, as his arm isn’t healing for some reason. My tutor and sire have put a ward around our house that shifts lupines into a more vulnerable form. I’ve got my ancestral 1911 with custom silver amalgam exploding rounds going faster than most pistol cartridges at 1900fps. This is my land. Esta es mi Tierra. Das is mein Land. nū sokanaakutū. This lupine will pay for his transgressions. My people have been here far longer than his in all likelihood.

>>94728297I'm not sure if anyone else has suggested this, but I believe you may be dealing with fae. I've heard stories of fae wielding powers of ice and cold, including the ability to freeze someone solid to the point of shattering. That this being appears human, but too tall and with a smile too wide also suggests to me some sort of imperfect disguise. Alas, that's all I can contribute at this time.
Hello everyone.I was recently embraced(?), but my vampire mom has left town and I haven't seen her for a couple of days, I found this on her laptopNot sure what I need to do if she doesn't come back?

>>94729546>hunters are in the walls>I'd be horrified if they disappearedSame here, took me forever to fit the bodies between the studs
>>94730382Why does this keep happening? Alright. A few questions first.1: What did your sire, that being the vampire who turned you, tell you already? This way we can skip the basic stuff like "avoid the sunlight".2: How long have you been undead, and have you met any vampires besides your sire?3: Why did you choose that display name? Or are you using your sire's account?>>94730393It certainly is. A common one among their lineage, but not universal, evidently. Also, while I am loathe to give credit to vague and ominous internet omens, perhaps the comment about walls and hunters had something to with the botched attempt on my unlife? Tarvos described the initial would-be assassin as a hunter, though I think such a term is ill fitting for the man.
>>94730538>Why does this keep happening?Because licks keep trying to give them earnest advice. You're fond of saying that nits make lice, but it's also true that a fed animal will always return. If this thread continues to cater to fledglings then they will continue to be sent here.
>>94729856Per your earlier question my lady, I’ve never found my clan curse too burdensome. I’ve always been a homebody sort. As steinbeck said, a Texan anywhere else is a foreigner. So now being literaly attached to my native soil just seems the logical conclusion of that. I will certainly travel once I mature some, a jar of dirt or two isn’t hard to carry around. irl I’m actually tied to the land right now. If we move off, family will sell the farm and waste the money. If we stay we inherit effectively 2million+USD in land. I desperately want to leave but cannot pass up the opportunity. >>94730285I’m glad you like us Texans. We are sentient and fully cognizant of the stereotypes and like to live up to them. As for the glorified mutt, my personal sidearm would hurt it. But I only have 100 rounds of this silver amalgam ammo and it’s all in .45acp. Bigger calibers for all of us are needed. My sire says he’s pretty hood with a musket so I’ll do my best to find one of those. Tutor is a fellow koldun like me, and his expertise lies in fire. Summons lava out the ground and shit, super cool. He also knows some thaumuturgy as well from a chantry he destroyed in the 1800’s. The lupines may regenerate in a manner like us but not too many things survive superheated liquid rock. Ted, once he heals, and Jimothy are being issues with AR-12’s and silver ammo. I’d prefer an FAL platform, but those aren’t as prevalent in these parts, and AK ammo has gotten sparse since the slavic shindig going on over yonder. I also have learned that they are vulnerable to chemical agents. Boy howdy is that a personal expertise of mine. I am prepared to turn this into a trench from ypres. I’ve got magic, spirits, my ancestors, and an obscene amount of firepower on our side. We may make it out of this with a casualty or two. >>94730382Ignore this guy>>94730393Just lay low, feed off the homeless or bar patrons when you need to, and read a book.

>>94728596In terms of remote viewing, there are many possibilities in theory, though all of which far more conspicuous than one would imagine. I've pondered such escapes before, many times over, but even rudimentary usage of Auspex is capable of detecting my psychic presence, whether I project my consciousness or simply glimpse across the world. Theoretically, one could have ghosts relay the information for themselves, if one had particularly reliable ghosts. If the host were willing, I could place a psychic link within the hall to send the information back to me, although that's quite as conspicuous and off-putting as any other idea. Perhaps I simply need to make myself known again so others aren't suspicious of my appearances. As for drinking people's blood, I have hundreds of recounts and stories. Of all of the possible psychic abilities, it may very well be the greatest power for one of our kind, if it is true at all. In my research there are many fables and tall tales to sift through. Much like our own kind, psychics have a long history of myths and grand stories to their nature. Stories and definition of "Psychic Vampirism" range from particularly strong empathy, to the theft of cognitive ability, to the draining of lifeforce itself, to the possession of one's soul entirely. Of course, even if all of this were true and mortal psychics could "feed" as we do, there's no certainty that a Cainite, with the same ability, would receive the same sustenance from it, although, to feed freely as a projection of oneself remotely is well worth the work put into experimentation and investigating.
>>94730595There is truth to your words. But why should the childe suffer for the sins of the sire? If I had my way, embrace rates would drop to maybe one tenth of what they are now. But to intentionally mislead or seek the destruction of those abruptly sired and abandoned is punishing the victim, not the perpetrator. Someone must take responsibility for the wayward childer, lest they bring ruin upon us all in their ignorance. >>94730651Cainite is a word with a loaded meaning. If your sire uses it, and indeed insists upon the term, there are two likely explanations. Either they are in the Sabbat, one of the two major sects that dominate vampire politics. Or they are so old they still use the term out of reflex. Cainite was common parlance in the medieval age. We are descended from Caine, the first murderer, or so goes the story. Given that they claimed to be the only other vampire in the area, it may actually be more likely that your sire is just that old. Sabbat move in packs and usually inundate even their more disposable childer with rhetoric immediately. There are members of the Sabbat here. I am a member of the Camarilla. We both have a bias, in fact every single one of us has an agenda. So actually think about the advice given. Laying low is a good idea. Your sire may return. Taking drastic action could leave you in a worse spot. Do you have any questions? I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

Hell, a lot of elders look 14.>What's an autarkis?Weird fuck with no friends. It just means they're not part of mainstream cainite society and nobody has managed to kill them and take their home yet.
>>94731131What do you eat for sustenance? Is it food, or is it blood? I'm trying to strike out possibilities here.As for getting a driver's license or going to bars, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your ID still has a birth year, and that year makes you older in the eyes of Mortal Law as time goes by.
>>94731131Alright well, sixteen is better than anything younger at least. If she is medieval, she may have considered sixteen to be an adult. You can still learn to drive. And getting into a bar is as easy as a fake ID and confidence. If we were incapable of learning new things, elders would be unintelligible, and we would not be able to advance our abilities mundane or supernatural. The better news is that you can learn powers that make you preternaturally charming or can even alter memories or control minds. You need not worry so much about IDs in the future, many Kindred make a tidy business out of fake IDs. You did not mention clan as something she had mentioned. Each vampire inherits an affinity for certain powers as well as a weakness. I am Ventrue. We have a natural affinity for preternatural charisma, or Presence. Mind control, or Dominate. And a level of inhuman durability that surpasses even the vampiric norm, or Fortitude. We can only drink a specific type of blood and no Ventrue will ever tell what theirs is. Try to see what you can do. See if you can break cinderblocks, move inhumanly fast, control animals. See what comes naturally. Hone your abilities. If your sire did not inform you of disciplines, she may seek to keep your dependent on her.Autarkis is a term for a vampire with no formal allegiance to anyone but themselves. Most are elders, simply because only elders can reliably get away with relying entirely on themselves. Your sire may or may not be an autarkis.

Okay. Things are making more sense. Ultimately, only you can decide which is preferable. Death, or eternity as one of us. My sympathies for the unfortunate circumstances of your embrace. I leave you with a final bit of advice for now, the same I give to all fledglings. You have a potential eternity before you. It will be fraught with obstacles and dangers, few Kindred survive to 100, let alone 100. You must find a purpose, a reason to persist. That goal, that desire will keep you sharp, and prevent you from falling into a depressive malaise that has unmade countless Kindred more powerful than you or I. If you have further questions, just ask. I bid you a good evening, and good fortune.

>>94730687I wonder what being a psychic vampire would feel like.
>>94731483 This is the price I must pay for multitasking. >>94730931I have interceded on the behalf of innocent fledglings before. I am fortunate that my Prince is wise, and merciful, and does not blame them for their embrace. This mercy creates loyal and grateful fledglings, it is making the best of a bad situation. You may be correct that the rapid propagation of our kind is inevitable. If it is truly a situation akin to King Canute and the Tide, then executing the childer is a wasted gesture. If our population invariably swells with the population of the mortals, then I fear we are approaching another crisis akin to that of the late medieval, as global birth rates are beginning to fall. Too many vampires, not enough mortals. It is worrisome. But executing the childer, especially when the sire has escaped into the night accomplishes nothing but make the powers that be look cruel and arbitrary to the other young vampires. A spared fledgling will be loyal, and far less likely to make the same mistake as their sire. Furthermore, they could be used to find the sire, so that the true criminal gets punished. It is only when we make an example out of those who sire wantonly that we can curb the practice.Lastly concerning the "sins of the father" line. Even if we are a curse from God Almighty himself and that He declared we are culpable for our sire's sins, I refuse to bend to it. An innocent mortal plucked from life and into unlife does not deserve to suffer for the barbarous act that created them.>>94730602 That's rough, but I get it. Sometimes we have to shoulder a burden for a better future. Hopefully these threads take some of the stress off.

I've already left a couple of hints about it on previous messages here—the very ambiguity mentioned above in regards to this aspect of his unlife is a hint, for example. If someone ever gets it right and explains how they reached that conclusion in a satisfying manner, I'll confirm it—its not just there to be a tease, its there to be eventually uncovered and there are more mysteries on his backstory after that one—but the conclusion can't be reached by cheesing it, like 'he didn't confirm he's X or Y or Z therefore must be Baali by exclusion' type of stuff otherwise I'll just keep quiet :P its not there to be Guessed, it's there to be Uncovered.

>>94731665It requires time, practice, and exercise to grow accustomed to the additional senses and reflexes, though eventually the now grand, open world that you previously did not experience is far more natural. Gradually, with more changes, and the improvement of the senses, the abilities become more acute and powerful, and with greater experimentation more abilities become possible, you expand the boundaries of your power. What you might imagine to be overbearing is actually quite serene, understanding and perceiving the previously unknown and invisible. The greater perception is not unlike the use of auspex, and while I have investigated the link between clairvoyance and "ESP" and auspex, the line is far from clear. >>94733318>What kind of response can I expect if I present to the nearest Camarilla prince to defect?I would say that depends on if you can offer them something, ANYTHING, that can be of value. If you can, they will probably give you a seat at the table, with a big lad wielding a big axe standing right behind you just out of sight. If you can't... then you can probably expect a kiss from madame guillotine.Of course, each prince has a different policy on the matter. You should probably make some discreet inquiries with the local Kindred before you commit.
>>94733318If you go to the Camarilla and explain your story of dismay and defection from the Sabbat, he is going to have you slaughtered. You may well have better luck simply pretending to be a different person entirely. Were it not for your cowardice, I would even say that I like what I know about you, and if my presumptions are correct, I like the way you think. I can't imagine you ever took part in the Sabbat to get slaughtered by wild animals, or to blindly charge head-first into unwinnable scenarios. I'm rather confused why you're facing this at all, honestly. I imagine the fire that drives you to strive for greater purpose is what got you embraced as Lasombra, but instead of fighting to take it, you put your tail between your legs and search for more handouts, another to protect you. Did that fire wane? Were you intimidated after being embraced?I think the person your sire embraced deserves better. I think he would grab it himself, he would take it from the claws of those who aim to keep it from him, and you will never get what you want if you do not.Go to a higher authority if you must. Demand a pack that you can lead, and if they do not give it to you, bide your time and make one. Your blood is of the most revered in the Sabbat, and the most feared in the world. Manifest your power. Otherwise, you may as well let the prince decapitate you.
>>94733318I would also propose that if any of my kinsmen are nearby, they can probably provide you with a place of refuge.
>>94733443All I can offer is my current small group of blood brothers and sisters, and while I might be willing to abandon them, I can't quite stomach giving them up. Besides, once I do, what is stopping me from being shown the Final Death? The best bet is I become an errand-runner for the Camarilla with reprisal for my betrayal hanging over me in perpetuity. What's the human saying, grass being greener?>>94733443If I'm sounding a bit like a pussy, I think it's the claw puncture wounds, they're still not fully closed. Still haunts my daysleep. But you're right, I think. I always thought my sire merely didn't care for me outright, but it might have been the company I keep, and my willingness to follow that disillusioned them with me. A lot to think over. Something has to change. This pack won't last without new leadership- the only question is if it's worth saving, or should I make my way to Mexico alone?
>>94733181>The dean cornered me>told me that "this has to stop." When I inquired as to what "this" is, all she said was "you know." >After tonight's... extracurricular activities with some of my more promising studentsStop fucking with your students so blatantly, you ninny. She foresees impending newspaper headlines about a scandalous teacher sleeping with students and wants no part of that. This is why so many kindred look down on snakes, you're supposed to be tempters but you lack any subtlety.
>>94733318>What kind of response can I expect if I present to the nearest Camarilla prince to defect? You really, really ought not to be worrying about them, Cainite.
>>94733733Is this meant to scare me, shovelhead?
>>94733719If I appear unsubtle, it is only because I desire a bit of... poetic expression in my writing. After all, I have no fear of any of the users of this site since I have kept my name and location veiled.

>>94732658I understand. I'd love to learn Chimerstry myself, but its nature eludes me.Ba-dun-tsh!>>94732915>Did you sell your name to the fae?Close, but no. Fae don't have the sort of knowledge I was looking for at the time.
>>94733318>>94733443>>94733489Caught between the Sword and the Tower, eh? A dangerous position, but not an impossible one.Phrenopheler’s advice is… poetic, but to me, it reads more like a trap than anything else. Demanding a new pack in the Sabbat risks accusations of disloyalty to the vaulderie. Loyalty to the pack is sacred, and turning on them—no matter how reckless their decisions—is a fast track to being cornered. Doesn’t might make right? Perhaps, but odds are you’ll be forced to prove it by fighting your packmates to the death. Outnumbered like that, the odds aren’t exactly in your favour. As for defecting to the Camarilla, I must echo the wisdom of our French friend: walking into the Tower uninvited is suicide. The Camarilla runs on a strict sire-vouching system. Without a Lasombra Antitribu to sponsor you, you’ll be seen as a rat, not a potential ally. They’ll extract whatever information they can and then Destroy you without hesitation—perhaps even parading you in Elysium as a trophy before doing so.If you truly want out, you’ll need patience and cunning. Play along with your current pack until you either take control and start calling the shots, or find someone in the Camarilla willing to vouch for you—someone with influence in the Tower and a reason to see you survive. Until then, keep your head down and avoid confrontation. Both the Sword and the Tower are swift to destroy those they perceive as weak or disloyal.Or, of course, you could take Phrenopheler’s advice and let your ambition serve as a fine eulogy for the Sword. The choice, as always, is yours.
>>94729856I forget the term but Independent. Not anarch, sabbat or cammie. the group I work for mainly does work for different groups, I've worked for all three main factions at some point or another. Gonna see if I can send a message to boss, hopefully the tall-fucker doesn't follow me to the place I'm staying at.>>94730377A fact I forgot to mention: the tall-fucker had black eyes, almost no shine to them. When I looked into them it felt like someone caressed the raw nerves of my spine with a knife's tip.
>>94733868That is not what unsubtle was referring to. You're being criticized because you aren't covering your tracks while having debauched feedings with your students, not the manner in which you described it here. Have your orgies of sex and blood and so forth, but do it where the administrative faculty won't catch wind of it, and impress upon the students participating not to discuss it; "It's our naughty little secret" etc etc. Masquerade breaches aren't exhibitionist, they're just a mess that has to be cleaned up.
>>94734008>I forget the term but Independent. >Not anarch, sabbat or cammie. the group I work for mainly does work for different groups, I've worked for all three main factions at some point or another. We seem to have something in common here.Though I rarely take contracts from other Kindred—the end-year mentoring I've mentioned earlier is a one-off thing. My usual clientele tends to be more... esoteric, and let's leave it at that.

>>94732915Work through intermediaries. Place a lot of bodies between yourself and the lupines although considering your barely a fledgling, that's probably easier said than done so just take the number of guns, men, traps, and whatever else you think you'd need and triple it>>94733907Who else would take names for payment? Are you Baali?
>>94735115true but I think the complaints about serpent doing the blood-orgies in a middle-school is what people are objectifying to.
>>94735163It wasn't just the name. It was everything save for my memories and the clothes on my back, so to speak. Someone else went on to be who I was, and I became who I am now. As for being Baali, I recently wrote here of a renowned former monarch who eventually became a Tzimisce, which I had the distinct privilege of meeting about a decade ago. He’s a deeply religious man, and we met several times in a church before he felt at ease holding our meetings in his study, which, despite being otherwise quite spartan, featured a prominent Christian cross displayed on the wall.
>>94734008Autarkis. Good luck regardless. If you do not mind, I will inform the Camarilla higher ups about your mystery vampire killer. I will have to caveat it as a "unsubstantiated rumor" to them, but our kind thrives on rumors. That and truthfully, it sounds as if you need help.>>94733318>>94733664Defecting to the Camarilla is a risk, but one that could pay great dividends in life expectancy if you pull it off. How good of a liar are you? If you are confident in your abilities to conceal the truth, you could simply leave and introduce yourself as a Camarilla vampire in the nearest city. If you follow the fifth tradition, no Prince would have grounds to deny you entry to their domain, though you may have to offer tribute. However, if your secret is revealed you are in for blackmail at best, a blood hunt at worst. The other option is to find a vampire of influence that is wise and trustworthy enough to act as your sponsor. Wise Kindred understand the value of a Sabbat defector such as yourself. Even if you do not know any high level information, what you already know can be very useful. Such as who the Sabbat members in the area are. Or where the next Palla Grande will be hosted. You could even sell lessons in your clan's unique discipline to pay your way. Whatever escape you decide on, fake your final death when you leave. If your packmates realize you defected, you will be hunted relentlessly by the Sabbat. Even if you became autarkis, to leave the Sabbat carries a penalty of Final Death.
That Sabbat pack I mentioned recently has made their presence known. Four kine are dead in gruesome fashion. It was some clever monstrosity to incense the police by writing a taunting message using the entrails of the dead to promise they'd kill again. Law enforcement is a veritable kicked hornet's nest, and I imagine roving gangs of reporters with camera crews will be soon to follow. Even after we catch and kill this whole pack, my coterie isn't going to be able to stay here after this.
>>94733664>>94735367Reminder that the last lick here who tried to defect to the Camarilla got electrocuted

>>94733868>I have no fear of any of the users of this site since I have kept my name and location veiled.Unless you've lied substantially about your situation that isn't really true. In a coastal city in south france where a tanker truck full of wet sabbat turned up recently and the local anarchs have chained up and are milking a lupine, there is a serpent in the university, and it is you. Not exactly a 'high entropy' on that query, as the ghouls might say. Nosferatu won't sell you out, but they're hardly the only ones that can connect dots when there are that many points of data.>>94729896Aren't your sire and instructor elders well out of scope for fearing the average lupine? >>94735060I have obtained a werewolf bfNow worried it is just a stupid fling before he dies.Bet my sire would be proud.
>>94736874The Inconnu do not engage in the Jyhad. It's one of the few things commonly known about the sect.
>>94736690It's wild speculation, there is no QRD. A small uptick in european Sabbat activity (up from "barely any" to "a little"), and everyone gets paranoid like it's a new super crusade.Honestly, I doubt the Sabbat has another "big one" in them. Their gehenna prophecy came up wrong in the new milennium. They lost Milan and NYC. Most of their east coast territory gains have been slowly rolled back in the last two decades. And I heard on the grapevine that there was a big power struggle in Mexico City. My nossie antitribu pals are all demoralized as fuck. You remember that one anon Sabbat a while back, the Lasombra? He had it right. They've been throwing themselves at the Camarilla for 500 years to no real gain. Not a single additional antediluvian even rumored to be dealt with. They've wasted their time fighting people who disagree with them rather than making good on their mission statement. Inb4 the "we will have final victory and kill you all" routine from the regulars.
>>94737423>Not a single additional antediluvian even rumored to be dealt withDidn't they kill Ravnos?
>>94737436Pfft fuck no. Even if we take those rumors out of bangladesh or wherever seriously (which I wouldn't), it sure as hell wasn't the Sabbat that did it. I don't even think the Sabbat has tried to take credit.
>>94737436Wrong, we weren't even there since we were busy with the war on the East Coast. As well, the two sides in that conflict were the clan Ravnos in India/Bangladesh (who wouldn't have wanted our help) and the Wan Kuei in the same region (and from further east in Burma/China).It was either the Wan Kuei or mortals who killed Zapathustra. >>94733318Join another pack. Either that or go into Anarch territory and stay as an informant for the Sabbat while remaining in a safer position. We all have our role to play in securing our freedom, and if you do not wish to remain with a foolhardy pack who is too busy picking pointless fights with lupines, then there are few who would blame you.Know that defecting to the Camarilla wouldn't mean freeing yourself of the grasp of your clan. Instead, you would be treated as a newcomer into the Lasombra Antitribu. Chances would be high if you defected that you would be blood bound to an elder Lasombra and likely dominated as well as a condition of your acceptance into the Ivory Tower. If you wish to be free of your obligations, I will tell you that in truth, many elders of our sect do not contribute at all and are not members of packs. They only ever show up to the Palla Grande or when the Archbishop demands such of them. They reach that point because they know that it would be foolish to challenge them. For one who is younger, taking the role of scout into other sect's territory would be a way to get away from a former pack.If you go for that direction, keep your observations in Anarch territory. They are more sympathetic and less prone to attaching strings to their tolerance of you.>>94737692There was massive destruction coming out of Kolkata and Dhaka while in the midst of a war between Ravnos and Wan Kuei. It does not serve either of those factions to destroy their own supply lines. Such a destruction (especially to large numbers of one clan in particular) is consistent with an Anti waking up.
>>94734008One final line of inquiry, if I may. The blue-skinned creature: did you see what the color of its eyes were? And did it have small horns upon its brow and wolf-like teeth?
>>94737717And here comes our resident hollow earth nazi cyborg enthusiast to tell us what went down 20 years ago in southeast asia.
>>94735202Or are they complaining about not being invited to the blood-orgies in a middle school? Remember folks use your words.
>>94737791South Asia, not Southeast Asia. And yes, there are Nazis who control cyborgs(Dero or Detrimental Robots) in the hollow earth. The mages that seek nothingness are just as much of a threat as the antediluvians are.
>>94737819Exhibit A as to why we should take anything coming out of this guy's mouth with a metric ton of salt, your honor. If I recall correctly, aren't you a high ranking Sabbat Inquisitor that also believes diablerie is wrong and loves humanity? I think that you're fried in the brain even by Malk standards.
>>94737423>Bah the sabbat is out of juice>They are just going tit for tat wtih the Cammies for 500 yearsI think the argument that the Sabbat has become the thing it hates (although with a better party life) is a somewhat convincing arguement, but saying that the grand conspiracy of ventrue and Toreador and other high society vampires haven't been able to dislodge the sabbat over 500 years is an argument for both side's mirrored irrelevance. Truly, the future is Independent.
>>94737858Independents only have it good right now because they can take advantage of the Sabbat and Camarilla's fighting. If one were to ever win the fence sitters would have a very bad time very quickly. Also, the Camarilla spends way less time picking fights with the Sabbat than vice versa. The Sabbat has virtually every advantage in the war (mass embraces, not caring about the masquerade because the cam will clean it up for them, no restrictions on diablerie) and they are in generally a worse position now then they were 500 years ago. And what a lot of people forget is that both sects were different solutions to the same problem. That problem was a world where everyone was independent. Where the only law was the vampire with the biggest dick and the only loyalty was found in clan ties (maybe) and the blood bond. Autarks and independents are the welfare queens of unlife, I have more respect for Sabbat than I do for them.
>>94737848It's written in the Book of Nod by the Dark Father himself that:>Thou shalt not slay thy Sire and drink his heart's bloodAs well, there is the valediction against diablerie from the same Chronicle of Shadows that is>Seek not the blood of thine own Elder>Seek not the blood of thy Sire's Sire>Seek not the blood that made thee Kin>For thou will feel the funeral pyre>When thou dost pay for thy immortal sin.And thus from an earlier version:>pic related
>>94737943You misunderstand me, man. You're bang on about diablerie. What confuses me is why the fuck you're in the Sabbat when you know it's wrong. You're aiding the biggest group of diablerists in vamp history and yes I know about the Assamites.
>>94737953It's because the Camarilla willingly puts the blinds over its own eyes regarding threats that are right in front of them, the Anarchs lack any structure for dealing with those threats (or worse are compromised (as the Soviets almost certainly were (also not real communists)), the Setites are part of the problem, my last name isn't Giovanni, and the Assamites are also part of the problem. That leaves me with the Sabbat as the one sect among our kind that can both recognize the threats to our existence (and mankind's existence since we can't exist without them) without trying to pull the blinds over their neonates eyes (which makes them vulnerable to being corrupted by them) AND be organized enough to deal with them.
>>94738017I feel like it shouldn't be so controversial to kill an inquisitor if this is the extent of their loyalty to the revolt.
>>94737936Not really that hard. The cammies claim membership of every vampire so if they did win, all you have to do is kneel and kiss the ring and then get out of dodge. The Sabbat recruits actively so I doubt they would refuse your kneeling and kissing the ring. Again this is presuming a neutrality to begin with, no shenangians (or at least no jyhad based shenangians, just purely personal shenangians).>Also, the Camarilla spends way less time picking fights with the Sabbat than vice versa.Yeah I don't believe that. No doubt the cammie means are more sophisticated but if you think the cammies weren't punching for 500 years that is shortsided. >welfare queen>I get da benefitsSounds good to me man. That whole only law is the biggest dick thing may have just invented civilization itself no vampire can get anything done these days except wank off about their faction waifu. Vaulderize me Sabbat-chan, No Cammie-chan, don't fuck my ass with regressive taxation.
>>94738031You've really gone Sabbat since they gave you a crumb of turf, huh Anat? When's your first vaulderie going to be, my future Antitribu?
>>94738044Oh they were punching, but it's not the end all be all of what they do was my point. Either way you're a lazy sack of shit.>>94738017Chief I don't think the Sabbat is in the best position to do dick about the Antes either.
>>94735163Noted. I don’t exactly have an army of ghouls or coterie, so increasing amounts of firepower. >>94736453My sire had an impressive herd of 500 ghouls and various tzimisce goodies not but a century ago. Being exiled out of the old country and your herd culled is kind of a bummer though. His specialties lie with dominate, animalism, and vicissitude obviously. I don’t know if he’s scared or not, but seeing an elder of his age and generation taking something seriously is a change for me. Im not a judge of emotion, but I can decipher body language. The gangrel is terrified as he’s escaped by the skin of teeth once in the past and got away with noticably less this time. Jimothy is a bit broken mentally. Maybe it’s my sire’s first real test for me letting me decide what to do here with him and my tutor as insurance in case it goes fubar. As for preparations. Last night was uneventful. Opening night is still in a few days so hopefully we’ll get this done before hand. Worst case, we’ll delay opening a week or so for “reasons”. We’ve dug punji traps. I’ve made an experimental silver thermite. I figure molten silver poured on an impaled or injured lupine would probably make them suffer or die.
>>94738051>When's your first vaulderie going to be~80 - 100 years ago? It was arranged by my domitor so I could be interrogated and it determined that the delivery was in good faith.I probably would've been forced into another one here if I hadn't been successful in actually taking this territory.I don't think anyone is signing up to be put under the thrall of any kind of filial affection to me, if that's what you're getting at.Getting along with self-interested scum posing as religious extremists doesn't mean I don't also get along with nerds, degenerates, and rats from the ivory tower. Being a third party might theoretically make you an opponent to both sides of the war, but since there's no end in sight with just the two way conflict that isn't really relevant to 'living' practice.>You've really gone SabbatNo, you overestimated how much of my work was with the camarilla because when I started posting here it was from a tremere terminal. I've always been more comfortable with the sabbat than most serpents are, and less with the ventrue. It's an ironic accusation to make anyhow when the prompt was my wishing for the final deaths of inquisitors.>>94738156>I’ve made an experimental silver thermite. I figure molten silver poured on an impaled or injured lupine would probably make them suffer or die.Not going to try to catch one alive for the place? This is a golden (nay, silver!) opportunity for your cage fights.
>>94738017Sandoval, have you ever heard of a little thing called E Division? The Camarilla denies Noddism as an irrefutable fact publicly, because blind faith is exactly that. Blind. But we are not unaware of the other things that stalk the night and the very real possibility that there are incredibly ancient vampires that could pose a threat to us all. We may not publicly advertise it, but we have our own plans for all manner of worst case scenarios. We are not so blind.I have read the Book of Nod cover to cover. I went out of my way to find a DeLaurent annotated version as well. The official denial of Noddism was if anything a reaction to the Sabbat's state religion. An overreaction in my estimation. We should have promoted the original intention of the Book of Nod, itself expressly an academic work that regularly questions the validity of its own sources. It would be a better counter to Gospel Noddism. Despite my serious doubts about many of your boldly stated claims, I like you. You have not let the Sabbat strip away your humanity, you are not a blind faith zealot, and you are capable of civil discussion; A rare commodity these nights. If you truly care about protecting Kindred and Kine alike from the things out there darker than we, you are batting for the wrong team. You could be an excellent Archon of the Josians or E Division. Even if the Sabbat could and would defeat the Antediluvians, what do you think they would do in the aftermath? Their perfect world is no better than the Last City of Gehenna.>>94738156Be willing to call for aid from nearby Kindred should the situation warrant it. It will put you in their debt, but that is better than Final Death. Also, do everything you can to bolster the resolve of any mortals or ghouls in your service. I understand that most mortals go mad at the sight of a transformed werewolf.
>>94735789Back when I was alive, I preferred picking fruit straight from the tree over eating dried or fermented preserves. My feeding preferences didn’t change much after my heart stopped beating. That said, blood packs are quite convenient—like carrying a pouch of dried fruit when the orchard is out of reach.I keep having to delete stuff because I forget to put in my handle.
>>94735789Straight from the source like some disgusting perverted degenerate sexual deviant.

>>94738156Loving your Texan Tzimisce Turtle Tower Defence program here, Chelys.Pits and traps are a solid start, but they’re only part of the equation.First and foremost, remove any reflective surfaces from the property. Mirrors, puddles, polished metal—anything they can use to slip away into the world beyond again. It won’t stop an invasion, but it’ll make it harder for them to vanish into thin air like last time. Cheap, quick, and essential. If you’ve got the time and budget, hit up a tech or hardware store. Grab microphones, motion-sensor cameras, wiring, and backup generators to keep it all running if the power gets cut. A few scout drones wouldn’t hurt either. Set up a surveillance circuit covering the perimeter and key spots inside your property. If something breaches, you’ll know where.Build your kill box where you can maximize tactical advantage and have a fallback route ready. Be prepared to demolish parts of your infrastructure to trap invaders or deny them the use of fortified positions. Don’t think of it as a frontal assault—this will feel more like a paratrooper drop. Except these paratroopers are invisible until they land, and they can’t be shot down mid-air. So be ready to be mobile, and to part ways with positions. If you know any warding spells, spirit-hindering tricks, or ways to summon spirits to fight or spy for you, now’s the time to use them. If not, find someone who does. Call in favours or take on a little debt if need be—it’s better than ending up as ashes in the wind.Speaking of favours, consider having a secondary strike team staged nearby, just outside your property. They can break a potential siege and rescue you from Incoming Sunlight through a sally, or counter-ambush the attackers and push them into your killbox once the mutts show up, depending on how the fight is going. And finally, give them hell.
>>94737953You cammies... I swear you're being stupid about this on purpose. Our enemies are the Antediluvians. You know, the scumbags that pissed Cain off by eating His Childer? We should be arriving tomorrow night. You got enough wood lying around for a bonfire? We can Fire Dance for a nice moral boost. Hell, I'll do it nude if you have a nice sound system and a Johnny Cash CD.>>94733791No. What should scare you is the Wild Hunt. The Sabbat tracks down traitors, stakes them, has the rest of their former pack torture them until they get bored, then chucks your still staked ass onto a bonfire. And you announced your intention to turn your coat on a semi public message board frequented by known Sabbat. Good Luck, buddy.>>94730729>But why should the childe sufferI feel contractually obligated to point out your sect has a Tradition that enshrines the standard punishment for Embracing without permission the Final Death of both Sire and Childe. But like you said, you don't like that and would change it if you could. I get that. There are things I am going to change about the Sabbat. Too many old Sabbat resting on their laurels(at best) too many young Sabbat who don't know the difference between CAN and SHOULD...I really understand now, that mentality that let the Christmas Truce happen; soldiers doing their duty without hating the soldiers on the other side. I save my hate for the Antediluvians and the bastards that serve them eyes open, no compulsion or misdirection required.
>>94738156>>94739705>Well you can add +1 Sabbat Pack to your forces. We should be arriving tomorrow night.I guess I better get to work on that picture of Lita in the crop top and mini skirt then.

>>94740289not nearly as much as the Sabbat, Cammies only grant the right of diablerie to thin bloods who took down a kindred that was enough of a trouble maker to get a bounty put on them.

>>94740346Not old enough to know who the alubri are
>>94740280See? On purpose. Here, I'll go slow. An execution is not a murder. We're not(or at least we shouldn't be.) Diabing willy nilly; we're meeting out a punishment. Biblical style: Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, diab for a diab.
>>94740361Still doesn't change the fact that every sabbat I've met has tried to enlist me in their cult and when I refused they tried to diablerize me. Most sabbat are worthless scum who by all rights should be incinerated. Cammies are only slightly more tolerable but only slightly and even then I still have to fight the urge to firebomb the prince whenever I get forced to go to a meeting on behalf of my group.

>>94740386Citation needed. If the Sabbat were commiting diablerie as frequently as Cammy propagandists insist there would be so many wights running around it would be impossible to maintain the masquerade.
>>94740518I'm saying the Sabbat do it far more often and are more accepting of it compared to cammies, though any acceptance of it is a sign of weakness. If anyone in my group's area commits diablerie they'd have not only the cammies waiting for them when they step off our turf, but they'd also have all of us after them immediately, and unlike those pretentious fucking ventrue and toreador cunts, my group doesn't fuck around with diablerie.
>>94735564Mixed news regarding the investigation to find the Sabbat pack. The mortal minions found evidence of some kindred taking refuge downtown, and there shouldn't be any vampires but us around, so my clanmate and I followed up as soon as the sun went down with a couple ghouls. We did find a quintet of cainites slurping up the remains of a few ravaged kine in a duplex. They weren't the right ones though.Seems the pack has been getting busy making shovelheads to pad their numbers before taking over. Three Brujah antitribu and two Lasombra fledgelings, which made dealing with them annoying, caused a lot of damage to the interior of the building, and the ghoul that didn't die is going to have to retire as a combatant, but we dealt with them. No way to cover up the whole thing besides burning the building down with the bodies inside it though. I'm hoping we'll catch a member the actual pack, and from there dig up the rest before they make any more shovelhead warrens. What a mess.
>>94740482>>94740499I've heard that some folk take special offense to it. I don't know what their deal is, and don't tell anyone I spilled this, but sabbies began to go missing all over the Balkans. >>94740361Only the Sabbat does regularly murder vampires who never did anything to them, and who happened to have been sired in a different sect. And you wonder why half the thread thinks you're a presence thrall.
>>94742339>Only the Sabbat does regularly murder vampires who never did anything to themThe cammies win this only on a technicality. Because anyone who isn't in the camirillah is guilty of having left the cammies despite never having joined the cammies willingly because the cammies count every vampire as their member. Despite the Sabbat being>killy as fuckit's far easier to just fuck off to your own group who will actually stick up for you as apposed to the Camirillah who routinely murder people for embraces, if the prince feels funny, for defending yourself (remember the prince determines what counts as reasonable self defense). Those vampires all presumably had it coming because reasons, don't question the ponzi or the pyramid or you'll be dead next.
>>94739763If you believe that, start inflicting misery upon yourself first. >>94740824Killing is a last resort in maintaining the Masquerade, at least if you know what you are doing. It's the literal knowledge (phantom or not) that it's already over and your going to suffer anyway. >>94742464No.
>>94742464I imagine I'm capable of romantic attraction, but I haven't fallen in love since my embrace, so I've yet to find out. My clan's curse is a poor man's caricature and does not count, no matter what cope you're told.I can definitely experience sexual attraction and enjoy sex still though. Drinking blood is more euphoric, but shooting off fireworks was more euphoric than eating chocolate when I was alive, and you can bet I still did both then. I don't see the sense in depriving yourself of ways to enjoy yourself just because you found one that works particularly well.
>>94742464I do. Honestly, I kinda envy those without it. The drifter lifestyle can be lonesome, and a lonesome lick is an exploitable lick. I at least have someone who I can genuinely consider a “partner”, but they don’t travel near as much as I do. I don’t like to think about eternity much, but the idea of immortality makes love a very… worrisome thing. It makes relationships, intimate or otherwise, feel very fragile; at least in my eyes. At least when your mortal you know that eventually you’ll pass away, so the relationship only really has to last a few decades. But for us? Is it really possible to maintain a lover’s relationship for decades? Centuries? I’m terrified of the answer. These are the kinds of things that make me wonder if I should just meet the sun.

Growing back one arm from mid-forearm, the other arm from the shoulder, and recovering from disembowelment, means he'll be out of commission so long that we're better off replacing him with an unmaimed thug or four while this issue's ongoing. Plus, he impressed me by killing the brujah that was trying to jump me while I was occupied with another shovelhead. 'God’s'? Caine’s? Please. Neither sect is any less Full of Shit than the mortal institutions they pretend to look down on.As ElBeebee pointed out here >>94742393, a mere memory erasure or alteration is usually enough to preserve the Masquerade. Mortals who encounter a three-meter-tall, fur-covered killing machine don’t start crusades—they dismiss it as a dream or a moment of madness. If they can rationalize that, surely they can overlook far smaller breaches with the right nudges.Killing as a true last resort to preserve the Masquerade, however, is a question of survival. Self-defence, and even the most humane Kindred can understand it. But diablerising someone just because they won’t join your little sect is NOT a matter of survival—it’s barbarism. It’s like cannibalising someone because they declined your dinner invitation. Both sects cling to their myths and justifications to wield power, but at the end of the night, they’re no different than the mortal rulers they mock. I can’t go steady with any of them—not without turning them into something less than what they are—but that doesn’t mean I can’t care.Kindred, however, do not interest me like that. Our priorities are too far removed, and most have forgotten what love even feels like.I suppose it’s ironic. We’ve got that ward up around our homestead perimeter (approx 1acre) that shifts any lupine into their native form. From what I’ve read and been told, they are purely mortal in their birth form. >>947464302/2Beyond that, we had another incident last night. I had just gotten back from getting supplies. Transporting stuff back from my truck to the house and I feel something is wrong. Hairs standing on my neck and this voice in my hair that’s always correct yet often absent tells me to look out. I squat quickly, avoid a half tree that was just thrown at me, and I see the bastard standing not but a 100 yards away. I reach out trying to lock him in place, but he’s already moving. I draw my pistol and fire off a few rounds, winging him in his arm. Blows a chuck off his bicep off and he howls in pain. I have never heard anything like that before. I’m not one for terror, but a mountain lion could put me on edge when camping solo as a mortal. This was like that to the nth degree. He glares at me, understanding I know what he is and how to deal with him. He does the 2 fingers at his and points to me thing. Speaks to me in a tongue I’ve never heard before and the slips from this plane before I can smite him from the storm gathering overhead. It rained hard last night. I hadn’t meant to summon a storm, but looks like me and the sky are becoming united in a deeper manner. I must go now, the animals must be tended.

So got a call from my boss, I was gonna tell him about the cold-corpse thing but he asked me to come to the nearby woods as something got caught in one of our traps. I went and found the thing, whatever it is. It's like a gangrel but different, not as feral I think would be the right way to describe it. It looks beastial but the eyes are not those of a normal gangrel. Thing just growled at me but the way it did it didn't suggest hostility, more like curiosity. I was gonna talk but that same Tall-Fucker walked out, looked like he walked straight out of the tree, and greeted me. Apologized for the incident. With the snap of his fingers the trap was undone and him and the creature walked off and disappeared around a corner. After about a minute or two to process what this means and the implications, by that I mean I suffered a panic attack, I called my boss and updated him about the Tall-fucker and the encounters. I was told to lay low for a few weeks. I swear I'm like a fucking magnet for weird shit.

How much does a talking head go for these days I'm getting sick of mine
>>94747299Depends what it talks about
>>94747335Ancient Mesopotamian pornographic literature
>>94747394Are you willing to take a trade?
>>94739705I simply cannot agree. A majority of that which makes diablerie a deplorable, heinous act is not what you're doing to another person, it's what you're doing to yourself. Lowering yourself to a state of savagery, all for a misguided lust for power? Or perhaps for some petty, pathetic revenge? Contaminating your body with the soul of another, for any reason, is disgusting. Another's soul in your body, a vessel in which it does not, and never belonged, stolen directly from another being, it's corrupting, it's polluting, not only is it the end of themselves, it's the end of yourself as well. If the physical form is dynamic and changing, and the soul is intended to stay the same, how are you ever meant to realize your true being when it's deformed, or worse, not even yours? How are you ever intended to become yourself when you do not even know who you are?You may feel entitled to this "justice" you employ, but if the purpose is to destroy corruption and remove it from the world, then you've accomplished nothing. The corruption will only persist, become part of you, and the only way to destroy it will be to destroy you. It's a selfish act. Diablerie has nothing to do with destroying the Antediluvians, and everything to do with not only preserving them, but their methods and their message. If you want to purge the earth of their kind, destroy them as a vampire, do not devour them, as some sort of animal.
>>94747629If the soul is unchanging, then how come diablerie changes it?
>>94747116Or you know, she's a newbie in the honeymoon period. I would've been the same way if there was internet in '76.
>>94747653Because it is an unnatural act, an alien influence tainting it. Much like the embrace and our condition is an exception to a rule, between life and death, nature and and the unnatural, an anomaly, an aberration in all truths commonly held, diablerie is a breach in a constant, an unnatural alteration in an abstract monolith that comprises the entirety of one's self. It's practically impossible, and yet, through the will of evil and the greed of Cainite kind, this impossible, malformed, unnatural act is made manifest. This is what makes it so disgusting.
>>94747507I'd happily trade for a tome of repugnet humors or Fae bones
>>94747716This sure seems like a lot of reaching with no proofIf a diablerize someone who has obtained greater disciplines through nothing but his own merit and hard work, I reap greater reward than I would have from the same soul before his efforts began. Clearly, whatever is consumed by diablerie and benefits the eater, changes. I find it absurd to imply that mortal souls do not change as they age and grow and learn either, but here we have concrete example that you as a cainite vary from day to day, never the same again. Diablerie changes nothing that does not change by itself. There is no eternal self.

>>94747783No offense is taken, Lady Serpent. I have become comfortable with what I am, but it is inarguable that what made me was perverse and abhorrent.
I return, I apologies for taking so long, I had some work to attend to.LadyBlue, if you are still here, you requested that I update you on any progress with my experiments. I have some to report:1st: it was a success, it seems to be stable and ready for release, will keep contained for a bit to monitor and make sure there's no side effects.2nd: Needs some tweaking, namely in it's abilities and binding. The animalistic component is a bit more overpowering then intended so will need to either find a work around or reduce the amount of the component in the subject, though reduction will be a problem given the parameters set at the start.Another note not related to my experiments: I found that a little kindred was watching the field tests, he seemed scared of me, I meant him no harm as no harm was done to me or my testing. Also it seems that Stripper has fully joined the Sabbat, while it's a shame that she blindly went in, hopefully she doesn't lose herself to it's dogma. I've decided to do away with the 'Tarvos' addition as it's no longer necessary. What have I missed? Is Shark still alive?
>>94748115>Is Shark still alive? You know, I asked earlier and I got no response which is actually for the best.I kinda wanted to know why we never told him he was a Gargoyle? I was gonna, but then I noticed nobody else saying it so I thought "Okay, maybe there's some reason I'm not picking up on", but now that he's absent I think it's a good time to figure this out and fill me in.
>>94747886Every city I've ever been in has had at least one rampant mass murderer:^
>>94748277Shark made it to Cairo, pretty sure he's working for the pander prince down there
>>94747151Depends on the animal. Plenty of critters go to great pains to ensure their shit is hidden. It's most herbivores that just shit where they stand, because they process so much crap that spending time to hide it would leave no time to make it.
>>94747752I disagree, for the soul is a truth, certain in it's form, and like all truths, it is simply factual. The only thing that distorts and changes a truth is a lie, the only time a truth is warped is when a man denying the truth gnarls it. The act of diablerie, like lying, like stealing, like cheating, is wrong. It's the vile, avaricious cainites who tell these lies and warp these truths, and it is the very same who sully and deform their soul with diablerie.
>>94748423You disagree with the empirical changes to the soul that unambiguously can be observed, if in no other form than from how they change the consequences of diablerie?I don't that a flat denial of reality really constitutes a coherent reply here.
>>94748434I disagree that it should be done at all. Of course it can be warped, through evil and forceful means. Simply, my point is, it should not be done. Diablerie is wrong.
>>94747783As usual, my Ophidian Friend, your point is… very interesting.Personally, I don’t leap into a fire just because someone lit it. My advice is a gift freely given, but intervention requires context. Chelys’s situation, though compelling, is hardly one I’d step into blindly. Territorial disputes have layers, and without understanding the Werewolves’ grievances—or even what Chelys’s property might represent to them—I’d risk becoming a pawn in a game I’ve no desire to play. Not to mention that Chelys is a capable Texan, and I trust our Shellbound Friend to handle it with the wisdom he’s been offered—and the heat he’s packing. As for the Sabbat’s 'noble act,' forgive me, but I remain skeptical. Cannon fodder is rarely made available without strings attached. Perhaps this sudden altruism is genuine—or perhaps it’s a prelude to something else. After all, when has the Sabbat (or the Camarilla, for that matter) ever extended a hand without expecting a pound of flesh in return?I’d advise Chelys to ponder this: What might the Sabbat see in his situation that warrants such generosity? Charity isn’t a hallmark of the Sword of Caine, and I suspect this pack isn’t there to selflessly bleed for his survival.>>94747886Ah, my Ophidian Friend, a fabled utopia ruled by wisdom and balance sounds appealing, doesn’t it? Yet the truth is rarely so simple.Perfect order is a trap, stifling growth and spontaneity—but so is chaos, which burns resources and destabilizes all it touches. Expedient violence is no solution; it’s a spark that spreads suspicion, hunters, or worse. The Masquerade thrives on subtlety, not a body count. Let mortals forget, and the veil remains strong. Let them grieve, and it frays. Sustainability lies in discretion, in foresight, in ensuring breaches don’t repeat—not in desperation or brute force.
>>94748277Shark doesn't have wings and can remember his mortal life, he isn't a gargoyle. Given his Protean forms were a shark and crocodile, rather than the bats and wolf non-Gangrels always seem to get, he's probably one of those.
>>94748564He does? I thought he lost his memory or something. Besides, he's got the whole nosferatu thing going on, too, I thought he was one of those gargoyles that was half of both. Besides, he's kind of a maniac, right? Aren't gargoyles a little unhinged? And maybe not every gargoyle has wings, either, maybe he's an aquatic gargoyle, it's why he swims around as a shark in the sea
>>94748511It can't not be warped. Your soul is changing every day. We are already nothing but a parade of different persons wearing the same name and face as we might have the previous day, but that which is supposed as eternal and inviolable clearly changes.
>>94742464I have not, though I can still recall the feeling from when I was mortal. These nights, my faith and devotion provide me with the comfort I need. Especially the nights when I can hear the voice of Set clearly and receive his guidance. The feeling is... rapturous.
>>94742464Oh yeah, I still see the lady that embraced me. Matter of fact, the reason she embraced me was so she could see me more.
>>94745763I am not sure if I should consider the nickname "Elbeebee" flattering or insulting. I must ask, if you believe that every sect and even mortal institutions are full of it, what is the alternative, if any? >>94747886My prince is wise and he does rule with an even hand for the benefit of all. There are times I fear he may be too soft on his subjects, as most vampires are famously ungrateful. Fairytale kingdom on the other hand, it is not. Killing to protect the Masquerade happens, usually by those who lack the proficiency in dominate to protect it in a more elegant way. However, the use of dominate to erase or rewrite memories is always preferable to killing if available. Many missing persons cases remain unsolved yes, as it should only be considered a murder case if someone screwed up, but killing a mortal who witnessed something they should not does create the tiniest chance that someone looks in to it. A cop that can't let it go, a grieving family member or worse, an experienced hunter who knows what to look for in a vampire cover-up. If one can whisk away those dangerous thoughts, it adds one less point of failure to the Masquerade. It's just practical. Disbelief is our armor, and you never know which dead body or missing person will capture the public's attention.>>94748115It is good to hear from you. I wish I had a better way than this to convey how hard I laughed when I read your post. You have been scaring a poor neonate half to final death. So you are our creepy tall man. You can backlog if you want, it seems half of us had you pegged for a Fae or mortal magician of some sort. I encouraged him as best I could to keep his cool and not do anything rash. If he posts again I will attempt to clear it up with him, he informed his boss about what he knew of your activities. Which is to say little besides the aftermath. Such misunderstandings happen.
Which one yall organized this? It is a blatant masquerade violation. https://youtu.be/LrGyc2gXbxY
>>94749634First off, if anyone made this, they're a member of the sabbat. But secondly, no. This is clearly a kine thing. They keep referencing shit that doesn't work.
>>94749634Half the vampire content on the internet is a psyop by kindred to make the idea of vampires being real seem more farcical, while seeding crumbs of true information as a way to have it denounced along with the falsehoods. The other half is by mortals that are overly enthralled by their misguided ideas of vampirism born from the aforementioned psyop content.

Aaaaaand we're here! The outfit looks great, Chelys! it's your story, use the characters how you see fit. Stripper has been cagey about her pack, so if you want to make up details, go ahead.
>>94753607Can recommend it
>>94753607Yeah, that's all I'd do. Run around and do animal shit. Maybe I'd be a monkey and swing around.
>>94753648Hello Stripper, I've heard you joined the Sabbat and became the pack priest. I assume you feel both honor and the weight of expectations upon you.
>>94753648 noted. Gonna write something up tonight involving yall. Nice sketch btw! I’m working with my wife to make one of mine, she’s the real creative in the family. >>94746639I’m pulling a Switzerland with all this. I simply supply drinks and fights and it’s in everyone’s favor if we stay neutral. This town is unimportant enough that no one would really claim it. Place barely has 100k population permanently. It being surrounded by woods ands farms make most kindred skittish as>thar be wolves in them treeswhich I can fully attest to. Were shark here, I’d make him my keeper of elysium as he’s no issue with eating people whole. I miss shark. Besides, I feel stripper and I have an understanding of things. Here, the jyhad ceases, and kindred can see each other as brother and sister, so long as they aren’t the Red Regent when he’s of “sound mind”. >>94748562Mayhaps this young priest simply sees a way to impart a good impression on the neutral ground I’m making. Hell, she already had an interest in being here permanently as entertainment before she was appointed and given a leadership role. I’ve made it clear several times that my sire has instilled in me a deep sense of superiority to this whole sect thing. He fondly remembers his time as a childer when each kindred was a law unto his own. Things were simpler then. I understand we can’t rule openly as such now. Regardless, I hold the laws of hospitality/xenia as sacrosanct. This lupine presents a grievious violation of those laws as I cannot promise safe stay nor travels with that beast around. Perhaps in return this priest’s pack will have a permanent place to rest upon their travels for no cost or just spreading the word around of a place where one can drink and be merry, for we have already died. >>94754713Monke
You guys ever wonder why it's only ever malks that have seen Caine in IRL life?
>>94748562>>94756670Yeah, it's pretty simple. Where I come from capital H Hospitality says if you're the host and someone comes for one of your guests they have to go through you first. If you're the guest and someone comes to raid your host's home, you load your fucking gun. You don't have to be on the Path of Knightly Virtue to be q virtuous vampire. That, and I've realized that some of the poor Cammys have been vampire magick mindfucked into believing the lies about the Sabbat so instead of arguing with them, I'm just going to prove 'em wrong. No, we aren't all devil worshiping, diab happy monsters that utterly reject our humanity. Some of us put on that act, just like some Malks act goofy and blame it on their Curse. We do diablerize, that was never in question. But It's Elders... And there's a whole Ritae around that. We don't do it willy nilly, we are aware of consequences, we have a philosophical argument for why we do it. My own sire, a badass warrior older than the United States, has done it exactly once, and warned me about the dangers. I fully expect to go through my unlife without ever commiting Amaranth. And like I said, the Sect limits it to high priority Elders when we're engaged in open conflict. Double digit generation Neonates aren't going to get their souls eaten by random Sabbat packs just for existing. On the other hand, we do have hot, naked, Vampire bitches jumping over bonfires while blasting Ring of Fire. Join today! ;)>>94756350Oh, I do. I've got some long term plans.
>>94756806Because Cain loves us, unlike the rest of you Patricidal lunatics.
>>94748408And persistence-hunting predators know both energy conservation and perseverance are key to their survival. The rational ones go further, building systems to manage necessities with ease—farming, waste management—and ensuring their waste stays far from their hunting grounds. You don’t shit where you eat, essentially. >>94749292>I am not sure if I should consider the nickname "Elbeebee" flattering or insulting.I suppose it must feel ironic to receive a nickname from someone with no name of his own. But it’s neither an insult nor hollow flattery—it’s a term of endearment, my gift to you, uniquely yours. 'ElBeeBee' is simply the spoken form of your handle, L.B.B., after all.>I must ask, if you believe that every sect and even mortal institutions are full of it, what is the alternative, if any?Self-determination.No flags, no sects, no masters—just individuals choosing their paths with clarity and mutual respect, striving for harmony where it can be found.Sects, like mortal nations, thrive on betrayal and control. I’ve seen it firsthand in Clan and Sect—it’s all the same cycle. Loyalty without understanding is a path to ruin and must be earned case by case, not pledged blindly.Knowledge and respect are the keys to breaking the cycle. Empower others, and you don’t just shatter chains—you prevent new ones from being forged.I’m not here to fix the world, only to preserve it for those who will. Sustainable peace and prosperity don’t come from allegiance or control, but from those who know themselves, act decisively, and demand nothing but the same respect from others—a quiet symphonic harmony born of mutual strength.>>94753648That looks really good!
>>94756806I've met a kindred who not only claims to have met caine, but also claimed to have been given a gift from him. I seriously doubt the gift part but meeting him is more likely as stranger things have happened.
>>94753648 is that what Stripper looks like? if so then she's cute.
>>94757081Mind if I ask what some of those plans are? Vague info is acceptable so be as descriptive as you want.

>>94757254The only infernalists I've met are the baali, some kindred of unknown clan that actively oppose the baali and worked with the Inquisition, and strangely enough a good amount of Ventrue.
>>94757282>infernalists that worked with the inquisitionYou've got to at least make the act even slightly believable
>>94757289from my limited knowledge, they were scholars of demons that sought to keep the appetites of the unholy slated to prevent them from breaking holes in their prison as doing so would, supposedly but I just think they are trying to save their own hides, let some "great evil" from slipping through. Personally, I despise all forms of demon-worship as it never ends well. Also, Hello Anat, still being a conflict stimulator?
Dear Gangrel,What do you think of Cats (The musical)?Sincerely, an inquisitive friend
>>94757250I'm not blind to the Sects faults. I'm still getting all the history out of Opera Chick, between Ritae instruction and philosophy lessons, but I know we are our own worst enemy. We have infighting, we have brat packs that don't really understand what they're fighting for or why they should, we've got elders spending more time and resources jockeying for influence or pursuing vendetta's that grow out of said jockeying, and we've got dipshits that don't expect to see moonrise tomorrow night, act like it, and fuck things up fir the rest of us.I'm going to get a head start on my jockeying. My sermons are going to be honest. I'm going to hold Clan meetings. I'm going to get started at the ground level. We can't fix this shit with the regent just signing another impotent piece of paper; we've got to change our attitude. And, ideally, my message will spread and others will join in sharing it.>>94757242yeah, that's her. Taking a selfie to show off her new reptilehide outfit Chelys made, as sketched by my roomate.
>>94757504My kudos to your roomate but also... uhh... have you checked your handle?
Faak. Yeah, I was going to ease of on posting as Stripper for a bit, pick up with a different char. Her story had largely run it's course
>>94757522 can't wait to see what's next, I've still got a while before Scholar gets shelved. So much story left in him, namely the shit he's been up to and what exactly those things he was seen with are. I'd prefer it if someone directly asked me about them but if nobody does then it'd be a few days before I talk about them again, mostly to let the days pass in-game and also hash out some other things. Next character will probably be a caitiff.
>>94757522>>94757562Yeah I keep having to delete my messages because I forget to put in my handle, or because I made some egregious grammar error etc. It's no biggie :) >>94757574What sort of play would you like to see there? I'm quite new to the thread and I don't know much about most characters here.Personally, I've been working on a Storytime for what happened to Null's end-year travels that I mentioned earlier. Its scope spiralled completely out of control and its getting complex to the point that I think it might be worth making an STV pre-made story out of it. Its nothing fancy in the grand scheme of things but for what was just a throwaway story to drive conversation, it's getting Long. Very Long. Which is not great considering that nobody asked anything about that particular story either, as far as I recall.I do intend to keep on playing Null for a while, though. I made up a whole multi-layered mystery for his backstory, until I get some mileage out of that, Imma keeping mah namelessboi
>>94757313>still being a conflict stimulator?Yes and no. You can only have so much violence in the streets in any given year without it becoming a problem, even in rio, and everyone has to share. I might not have started the war, but even if I've got to win it it'll have to wait until my turn to cause a mess again. Doing odd jobs for cammies because the shit I've got to deal with is mostly in their domain; luckily they have a merited fear of the jungle after dark and the ability to not die a pointless death goes at a premium rate down here.Unless you mean ragging out fledgelings online, then yeah, I've still got time to waste. I've encountered the novel problem of having excellent tutors in the area who are eager to teach (me), but at present I'm restricted by needing mediation. You know how it can be.>>94757504This is all well and good as hot air, but what do you actually think you're going to try doing? Come down to south america and try to rouse someone up out of the sabbat strongholds? Light a fire under the asses of the kids up there on the front line?I'm genuinely curious, because I don't think that you're going to get very far if you do come down and start calling out bigwigs for sitting on their asses. It'd be easier for anyone who is statically holding onto power to bury you than address any rabble you do rouse.
>>94757190Doesn't that sound a bit utopian? How are we supposed to achieve this world of mutual respect? Mortals can't manage it and in my experience they are usually far more agreeable than Kindred. Age and generation divide us in power. While a particularly guileful or talented vampire can break those barriers, it does not change the fact that a multi-century disappointment is on par with if not stronger than a young wunderkind. Most Kindred can't respect the kine, usually because of how much "weaker" they are on an individual basis. How could we respect each other and avoid being terrorized by the eldest and most ruthless among us? The Sects were both seeking to address a very real problem, whether or not they have succeeded is moot, the problem was a world without sects, without any governance beyond the iron fist of an Elder. To quote Madison, "If Men were angels, no government would be necessary." We are not angels, obviously. Call it the Beast, call it the Jyhad, call it human nature given immortality and super-powers. We are the worst kind of subjects, and even worse neighbors. There must be an authority capable of keeping immortal predators in line. However preferable an idea may seem in theory, we must consider if it is feasible in the first place, no?>>94757574>>94757615 Tell me about it, I've been sitting on the details of what went down the night before Christmas for a while. It might seem hard to believe but there's a lot Blue doesn't say on purpose. As for your mystery lineages, other posters might feel like it's just playing 20 questions until they guess right or IC don't want to seem like they're interested because then the mystery boys won't shut up about their special blood. But I can only speculate.
>>94748423The moralizing is a bit much isn't it? Perhaps not out of character for you but shouldn't a bar that moves the very soul itself be tanatlizing to all of us. Why should we not sculpt ourselves, partake in the viscitude of the soul. I'm sure you'll be the first to point out that the dangers of it when the worst thing that can happen is failurewhy wouldn't you. How many vampires would I have to kill to sculpt myself anew. Why would we leave the bloodlines of our race to the quirks of chance of our history when we could make something absolutely stunning and terrifying and new. >>94757092The terrifying truth of the fall of the firest city>Malkav the best, everyone else number none.>>94757504>MEme Master Malk is opening the circusCan I bring the weeper?

I spent a brief amount of time there near the end of the 19th century. While the mission I was a part of was ultimately unsuccessful, the discussions I had with some of the Daitya led me to some remarkable insights. >>94758066Just an accident as far as I know. Someone was driving without snow tires, slipped on ice, and crashed straight into the one random pedestrian(me) that happened to be there. Hit me before I could even see the car. The lady who was driving freaked out, and all I could think to do was yell that I couldn’t afford an ambulance and ran. The only reason I was walking on the sidewalk in the first place was because I don’t have any snow tires for my bike. Your situation sounds like it was equally shit. >>94758237It fucking hurt. It was a Camry or something so it took my legs out from under me and slammed my head into the hood. Unfortunately I’m not as sturdy as most of my clan mates. My whole body still hurts.
