Chelys, someone seems to have leaked footage of your testing of the anti-werewolf drone defence system.
>>94761116Okay, fuck it. The rats are about done with the poor bastard(no, I didn't kill him. The cold did, I just moved into his squat down here)and I'm no closer to figuring this out, so I guess I'll ask for help.Guess I'll start at the beginning. A Gangrel hired me to find his lost Childe. Not my usual line of work but I prefer to rent in the winter months(specifically because I hate finding bumcicles) so I took the gig.You ever seen Saving Private Ryan? The Childe in question looks like the Jewish soldier from that movie. But he speaks with a Trans-Atlantic accent. Turns out it was a sentimental Embrace. See, my client was a Leather Neck, literally. Served in the Marine Corps while alive, fought in the Barbary Wars. And when he read about the Battle of Belleau Wood and his beloved Corps earning themselves a new nickname there he resolved at least one of those lads should live forever. Now, you're probably wondering how a vamp lost a childe that took part in a battle over a hundred years ago. This is the weird part.My Client woke up from a wood induced nap about twenty years back. Someone broke into his haven, middle of the day, staked him, and bricked the whole thing up. Smacks of half educated mortal civilians trying out hunting for the first time, then covering it up because of worry over the cops, right?Anyway, some vamp ghost hunter bought the old building with the spooky rep, and unearthed my client. He's finally recovered from the losses a decades long nap causes and wants to know why he went to sleep with his childe sleeping in the same room and woke up with a vamp he didn't know pulling a stake out his chest and the childe nowhere to be seen.Trails too old, too cold. I'm going to try the hunter angle, but maybe one of you knows the guy?
I'm regretting ever becoming a surgeon, instead of getting filthy rich I'm stuck grafting spare chunks of self proclaimed Werewolf hunters, Sabot slaughters and people who think blood magic is nothing more than parlor tricksHad to stich the Princes favorite "Ghoul"s manhood back on after he decided to fuck a Tzimisce Fucking Toreador
>>94761112You forgot the titleThis will have consequences
>>94761752He fucked a Tzimisce fucking a Toreador? Did the Tzim had anal teeth?
>>94761978Tzim have teeth in every orifice. Nothing gets inside a Tsim they didn't put there themselves.
>>94756670Your sense of hospitality is commendable, but remember it must be a tool, not a shackle. To offer shelter is noble, but to entangle yourself in obligations born of desperation risks losing your freedom. You’re the law in your own domain—make sure you stay the one writing it.>>94757081Reputation isn’t written by oaths, Stripper—it’s carved by deeds. The Sword’s reputation for fire and blood wasn’t conjured; it was earned, and a culture of chaos doesn’t shift with sermons and meetings. Directing cannon fodder ‘in the right direction’ is noble, but it’s bailing water from a sinking ship with a bucket. The questions I leave for you are not about how you plan on saving it, but if it’s worth saving at all, and why do you feel you're the one that has to do it.>>94757961It’s only utopian if you expect perfection. No philosophy will erase power struggles or silence the Beast. There's always going to be Hunger in the world. But better tools can mitigate its damage. That’s not utopia—it’s progress.Mortals fail at mutual respect, true, but they don’t start out with it. They learn—or fail to learn—through education and experience. Kindred, for all our supposed wisdom, spend far more time hoarding power than empowering others. An Elder’s iron fist isn’t governance; it’s stagnation born of fear. Sects institutionalize this dynamic and call it a solution.Empowered individuals are harder to oppress and to manipulate.Knowledge and self-governance forge resilience, and resilience fosters mutual respect. That’s the root of sustainable peace and prosperity—not imposed authority, but earned understanding.Madison was right: 'If men were angels, no government would be necessary.'But we are not angels, nor are we Beasts. Governance begins within.Self-mastery isn’t easy, but those who seek it prove there's more strength in controlling themselves than others.Authority binds; understanding liberates. By freeing ourselves, we can live up to our potential.
What if there were two vampires on the moon and one diablerized the other wouldn't that be fucked up or what
>>94761586>"have you seen an ex-mil gangrel?"lollmao
>>94757991Would you truly diablerize dozens, maybe hundreds just to destroy the self? Are you truly accepting of the ramifications of the eradication of the soul? It's a form of grotesque, vain suicide.
>>94762391I don't think you're replying to the right message there.
>>94762543Our local Phrenologist is a touch senile
>>94761752Ew. Just...ew.>>94757744>>94762254I feel like I'm repeating myself a bit, but here goes. For starters, i have a rough outline. I know as charming as I am I'm a few centuries too young to run an entire Sect, especially one as fractious as the Sabbat. But I got a little inspiration from my most recent history lesson. So there was this big pimp daddy Prince in London by the name if Mithras. One day he says his Clan gets two seats on the Primogen council because fuck you I'm Mithras. So the Brujah said dis some bullllshite and promised that they would stomp any Ventrue that accepted appointment to that seat into spaghetti sauce. Sure Mithras could stomp any one Brujah flat, but the other ventrue couldn't.So I my rough plan is to get the kids like me on the same page. Freedom comes with responsibility and obligations. Think about the future costs before you commit to a course of action. Knock off all this infighting. And as for higher ups that contributed once to the cause and fucked off... We just stop recognizing their authority. Being in the Sanbat should be like being in Delta Force:Selection never ends. We'll have to sit down and hammer out the finer points of what it takes to keep your Sabbat membership card up to date, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.And as for your question, Nameless, why shouldn't I try? The Antediluvians need to be stopped and instituting reforms in the one sect working on doing that serms easier than convincing other vampires they even exist in the first place. Plus, I'm a fucking Brujah, we hate the status quo on principle.
>>94759871>Your situation sounds like it was equally shit.It was awful. I was finishing my investigation of the phenomenon at the lighthouse. I won't go into details in order to avoid giving clues to my current location, but suffice to so that while I was correct in my theory as to cause of the disturbance, the persons responsible were not who I was expecting. Before I could leave though, I was caught in the middle of a fight between the lighthouse party and the party of a local Anarch baron (a Ventrue no less), that young Tremere mercenary I mentioned previously, a Kindred I didn't recognize but believe he was a Lasombra, and their large contingent of heavily armed ghouls. I tried to discreetly withdraw but that Tremere saw through my Obfuscate and pointed me out to the ghouls, who then used liberal applications of automatic weapons fire in my direction. One of them managed to connect with a lucky shot.During the ensuing free-for-all all I shifted into the form I learned from my time in India and managed to mesmerize the ghouls that were focused on me. This bought me enough time to escape into the water and I ended up taking refuge in a storm drain. I'm safely back in my residence now, showered and in a change of fresh clothes.
>>94762543Damn, you're right!
>>94757985Would you truly diablerize dozens, maybe hundreds just to destroy the self? Are you truly accepting of the ramifications of the eradication of the soul? There is no truer identity than the soul, are you truly content with the cessation your own existence? What is left behind when you diablerize is simply no longer yourself. It's a form of grotesque, vain suicide.Sorry about that last post! My bad! Not sure how I mixed that one up. Oh well.
>>94762557I told you before, damned insolent fool, that my brain is a robust engine of acumen and lucidity! My mind is an unwavering cosmic production of comprehension and enlightenment!I am NOT GOING SENILE.
>>94748115Was that thing a one off you made? I didn't get a good look but I saw something resembling the description stalking the woods last night.
>>94763327Which one? The Ice shooting one, the animal or one of the others?
Crisis situation soon to be resolved, if all goes well. The coterie ventrue has managed to track down the actual pack this time, not more disposable shovelheads. It's a large home in a nice suburban neighborhood, showcasing yet more cleverness on their part; neighboring families will be home any time we could hit them at night, so there's no way to do this but loudly. We had to workshop an exit strategy to ensure that we don't kill the cainites only to get caught by the cops, but now we're ready and will be crashing their haven shortly.
>>94761752As a fellow Kindred in the medical profession, WHY are you grafting Spare Chunks of Werewolf Hunters?
>>94763463The ice shooter. If that thing wasn't a one off, I can't help but wonder if me seeing one in the wild is in anyway related to this winter storm that's brewing.
>>94763949you probably didn't see one, they aren't nearly powerful enough to cause winter storms, their ability is more localized and on the small side of scale. If you have any questions relating to them or their abilities, I would be more then happy to inform you to a degree. It's not often I get to talk about my work and my work is the only thing keeping me sane in these modern nights. Mind if I ask about you? the name Wolf Moon gives me gangrel vibes but I'd prefer to hear it from you instead of guessing.
>>94761479heh. I guess I'll have to keep a look out for stray spies then.>>94762637what you did will be remembered forever. I am eternally grateful for you and your pack's help in this matter.HWAETHKINDRED COME YOUNG AND OLDWIZENED ELDERS AND YOUTHFUL BOLDHEAR THE STORY AGES OLDOF A SAD AND DAMNÉD SOULThe tzimisce was as androgenous as I had come across other childer in the past, truly given to the might of vicissitude. He made homage to my sire and I, thanking us for our hospitality. The lasombra lass, a Spanish dame of visigothic stock, had raven black hair that I swear just dissipated into the night. As if there was no end to it, only a gradient into nothing. The Nosferatu, hideous as ever, was named Jeff. I like Jeff. Good dependable man he is. We had a ghouled bull get loose and he just suplexed the thing back to its pen. What I wouldn’t give to have a farm-hand like him around here. The fire dance proceeded well, with Stripper doing a particularly nice number to Ring of Fire. Jimothy seemed to be happy for once since the lupine attack. ‘Course, seeing a girl like her dance nude in fire will do that to most mortals, I assume. Once the ritual was finished, spirits were high. Ted was still trying in vain to get in Stripper’s miniskirt, Jimothy was keeping watch with my tutor, my sire was conversing with the tzimisce youth, which left me, the Spanish lady, and Jeff. It was a good night. Blood wine and strong brew were shared by all. 1/?
>>94764258 damn it all, it's out of order now1/?The night had gone well, with Stripper and her pack arriving shortly after sunset. The last of the cirrus clouds overhead were catching the sun’s ultimate rays for the day. A rare sight for us kindred, to see but a glimpse of that heavenly glory, without it condemning us to burn. Jimothy gathered brush while Ted hit on Stripper. Gangrels tend to have a thing for Brujahs, I guess. I was passing around Sig P365s with silver ammo and a spare mag, just in case. Jimothy called me and my tutor over requesting leave to rest so he could take first watch. I granted it, and my tutor and I ignited the bonfire with but a gaze and intent. It burst into flames as the air shattered around it. Ted flinched at it, not immune to the red fear as us two Kolduns were. Stripper did her priest duties and proceeded with the firedance. My Sire procured some skin drums (locally sourced ;^) and I proceeded with a pow-wow beat I had heard as a child. Strippers pack consisted of another tzimisce, a lasombra lass, and a Nosferatu lad.
>>94764273The tzimisce was as androgenous as I had come across other childer in the past, truly given to the might of vicissitude. It was a good night. Blood wine and strong brew were shared by all. 2/?
>>94764283Around the time for second watch, I hear gunshots. Jimothy had opened up his AR-10 and expanded 20 rounds into the woods. I glide up to him asking what he saw, and he’s as pale as us kindred again. I see nothing, but my spirit wards say there’s a group of three lupines, with a larger, slightly wounded one leading them. This bastard picks the best nights to attack. I sound the alarm, My sire takes on his zulo form, a winged beast, covered in chitinous plates, bearing four arms likened unto swords themselves. The lasombra just fucking disappears, I can only assume she’s not hiding out of cowardice. Jeff is Jeff and the man is itching for a fight. He’s lost some friends to lupines as well it seems. My tutor is slitting his wrists and the earth itself is trembling. I sincerely hope he doesn’t ignite a damn volcano under the house again. Took three months to rebuild the foyer and smoking room last time. The tzimisce youth is changing as well, but not quite a zulo form. He has years of training to undergo. I perform a quick ritual to awaken the spirits in our home, silverware is surrounding me like the moons of Saturn. It begins. There’s that damn howl again, and it gives us all pause to shudder, being joined in by three more in dissonant chorus. I always liked tritones, but these wolves are going to ruin it for me. Our wards are up, but they don’t know that. First lupine runs across it, turns back into a grey wolf. He get’s lit up by Stripper who magdumped 11 rounds into it. Hope I can keep that hide for a trophy. The big lupine with the wounded arm I got a few night back does something, and I feel our ward dissipate. My tutor’s eyes widen with shock, as obviously this lupine has some form of spirit control to rival our own. 3/?
>>947642934/?The two other lupines charge forward. We open fire, our rounds doing appreciable damage, but not enough to bring them down. I manage to trip one with a quick earth koldunism, but that just gets it focused on me. As it bears down on me, thick black tendrils made of darkness itself grab it and hold it tight. I manage to pour all my rage into the sky above and call down a bolt that Zeus himself would be proud of. As that lupine draws it’s last breath, Jeff impales it upon a silver plated spear I had given him as thanks for the bull issue. I hear Jimothy screaming again. The big one just threw a damn tree at him. I fly over to him, and pull him down behind the house. I slice my wrist and tell him to drink. While he does so, I call forth a spirit from the trees and bind it to him. I tell him that this is only temporary, but he may now move within the forest freely and utilize the trees against the wolves. He then disappears into the forest. I hear my tutor cry out in pain, and see him being seized by the last underling. His jaws around my tutors throat, I hear him cry out in a language beyond hearing, only to last see him be devoured in a torrent of magma, destroying himself and the lupine with him. At last, it remains. The elder lupine lunges forwards to me, barking about how I’ve corrupted the spirits of this land, binding them to my will. How I’ve soiled the pure woods here with my very presence. I simply restate with, “This is my land” in Comanche, which surprises him. He hasn’t heard anyone speak that tongue in two centuries. What might have once been distant kin making a connection has long since past though, with him being an insult to my property. He’s holding some sort of polearm with a bone spearhead on it.
>>947643175/6?My sire launches himself at the beast, and they engage in a fierce melee. A flurry of bone, chitin, fur, and fangs is all most of us saw. I run forward and send forth my argent cutlery at him, distracting him and singing his flesh where they can find it. Fur this matted practically grants armor protection of some kind. I attempt to bind the beast to the earth again, as I had so long ago, but miss, and leave myself open to his damnable claws. Next I know, I’m lying on the ground, with half my midsection missing. Everyone has been taking pot shots while they can, but my sire’s size is being a hindrance at this point. The Senorita’s tendrils bind him temporarily, but his strength quickly frees himself from their grasp. My sire makes an attempt to grapple the beast, but he counters with a headbut. A sickening crack is heard, more ear splitting than a gunshot. My sire crumples to his knees as the lupine picks him up, and breaks my sire’s back over his knee. He tosses him aside, as Stripper rallies her pack, Jimothy, and Ted, and they pull the lupine’s attention elsewhere. Stripper manages to lead him into one of my punji traps unintentionally, and it activates the silver thermite. Finally, we’ve wounded him severely
>>94764181Oh yeah, Gangrel and proud. I rather enjoy going for romps in animal form, and it's a great way to hunt. Mortals aren't likely to think twice about a big "dog" taking a bite out of a hobo.So...super strength, localized ice formation? What do they eat? Ehat kind of territory do they claim? What do we call them? And guess the most important question: how do I avoid making them want to kill me?Oh, and I took my name from a song about my second favorite way to feed from mortals without the realizing a thing.
>>947643396/7I crawl towards my sire, seeing if he’s still conscious. He calls out to me. “My childe,” he says, “I’ve lived ages. Seen kingdoms rise and fall. Learned tongues that haven’t been spoken in centuries. Mastered my flesh to the utmost of my abilities, to the disgrace of my own line. Yet now, here I am. Broken. Beaten. With my legacy bleeding away. You, you are all that is left. Here, take my life. Consume me whole. There is not much else to do. To recuperate, I’d require far too much vitae or fall into torpor for centuries again. I don’t wish to do that. There’s few things worse than waking only to find your keep in ruins, your people no longer knowing who you are beyond some night-story their great grandparents remember being told as children, reprimanded for choosing to feed as you wish. My legacy was sullied the moment I was exiled here. Go on, drink my heart’s blood. I will not resist. I tire of this life, but there is a chance I will live on in you. This is no sin on your part, my childe, merely a preservation of our strength. Quickly, while that damned beast still howls in pain, consume me, and preserve our house.”
>>947643617/7 fucking hell, I didn't realize I wrote this much. I haven't written this much since my damn thesisI fed from his neck, and drank. I fed until I felt nothing flowing anymore, and I pulled deeper. There was no struggle from him. Only one final embrace from him before I felt the most immense power flowing in my veins. I channeled all my rage. My hate. My sheer disdain for this glorified curr that dared to trespass in my domain. The land that my forefathers bled for. The land that was conquered, kept, conquered, and lost. The land that my family, my people, and my ancestors have inhabited since creation itself. I drew my pistol and fired a single shot in the air. From that round, came a spark. A spark that would strike down upon the head of the beast that started all of this. I heard the Mexican army playing Degüello, for there was to be no quarter given. With a cry from the depths of my soul, a cyclone of biblical proportions spawned directly from the spark and weighed down upon the werewolf. I walked towards him, as he was beyond help from any of his kin or spirits, and fired until there was not but a cavern where his ribcage once was. I pulled a silver blade from my boot, and severed his head from his body, raising it on a spike from our roof. The fight is over. My sire is gone. My tutor annihilated. I remain. Yet I hear him within me. He speaks in my heart. We are united now for a glorious future.
>>94762254You have a tremendous amount of faith in Kindred, if you believe such a world would be an improvement over the one we have tonight. You should know what most of us do with "empowerment". Massacres, blood feasts, wanton embraces, general cruelty. What exactly will those who seek self mastery and respect do against those far more numerous Kindred who want to eat their soul because it might make them more powerful? A world without sects will not be free of Elder tyranny, it will only free the worst of us from any and all pretense of duty or civility. It's ugly, but it is the truth. There are a great many of us incapable of self governance. By freeing ourselves, we would live up to our potential, on that I agree. For most of us however, that potential is little more than hunger and hatred.>>94763502Good hunting.
>>94761752A Friend i know once had sex with a tzimisce, she said he fleshcrafted his dick off and fucked her with it. She didnt do that again.

>>94764358To answer in order: the disciplines are fortitude, potence and a unique discipline that gave me some trouble creating it called Helfrost; they drink blood like all kindred; no territory so far as they are too few at the moment; working name is Draugr like the mythological creature from norse culture; as for how to avoid making them want to kill you they are like any other kindred and thus vary so it's a case by case basis. I currently have a group of them in a forest living relatively isolated from both kindred and kine, feeding off animals. My goal is for them to become normal as kindred can be. I have had progress in turning kindred volunteers into Draugr though, they tend to be more stable.>>94765156>Altered kindredI wouldn't say that. They are a bloodline I've created, one of many in my experiments on vitae and it's mutability. cutting this message sort as it's too fuckin long
>>94765338Forgot to mention that the volunteers were thin-bloods. Was far easier to convert them compared to kindred that were of thicker blood
>>94765338I'm failing to see in what possible sense that could be classified as something other than an "altered vampire".
>>94765404Depends on what they were originally, the majority of Draugr were humans embraced with Draugr vitae, a few were converted from thin-bloods. the Draugr themselves are simply a bloodline of kindred, altered implies they were kindred already before being converted, while some are, they are planned to be the exception. I'm mostly doing the converting to make sure that if a kindred diablerizes a Draugr that it results in what normally would happen from a diablerie.
Hello everyoneI received a letter from my sire today in the mail (is that allowed?) and I think it raised more questions than anything. My sire also doesn't have very good handwriting so some of it is hard to make out She says that she received a 'Summons' and that's why she left, and wouldn't be returning?? She included an ATM card which I haven't left the house to check and told me to leave town and go somewhere people wont know me, which like. how? There's a bunch of stuff about 'honoring your legacy' and stuff like that, and it says I'm from something called 'traile' or 'troile'?She can't just abandon me like that and not come back, right? I'm still mad as hell at her but surely there are rules about that?
>>94764370Does that mean you use vicissitude now? >>94765607>Cainite is a BrujahSorry kid, childe abandonment is a basically a Brujah rite of passage. At least your sire left you some cash and a note. As morbid as it sounds, as a 16 year old, you'll have a much easier time finding people to drink from
>>94762650Hey at least you got a good story out of it, all I got was a punchline. Nothing good comes from a Ghoul, let alone one getting their fix from a warlock.
>>94765607You were embraced into the Brujah clan bloodline, you're going to have serious temper issues you'll need to familiarize yourself with and get good at resisting. She told you to move out of town so that in the short term people you know don't ask why you've suddenly become nocturnal, and in the long term so that they don't ask why you aren't aging.Pack a bug-out bag and get gone, fledgeling. Your sire's not gonna come back for you.
>>94764370Damn, that went hard. Hope you're doing alright after all that. What are your plans now? From the sounds of it, this won't be the last time you'll have the furballs to contend with over your land.Gonna do like the rest of your clan, and build yourself a big castle?
>>94765154Magnifique! I'll send them over to you. I hope you find them useful.>>94765338>working name is Draugr like the mythological creature from norse cultureSo you've created a new bloodline? Interesting. How did you create this new discipline? It bears such striking resemblance to certain fae powers that I've heard about. You wouldn't happen to be a Kiasyd, would you? I've heard they tend to be scholarly loners, and the description provided by the vampire who saw you earlier mentioned some unusual features.
>>94765755I would much preferred to have had a boring evening, if I'm being honest.

>>94766877The evidence I have read suggests to me that you are one of the so-called Weirdlings; specifically your extreme height and pupiless eyes. However, I've never heard of a Kiasyd predisposed towards traveling. I was under the impression that they almost never leave their havens.
>>94764917Lemme kiss the homies good night. Aint nothing wrong with that. >>94765156We haven’t noticed any issues with it. Even with my now improved auspex, I don’t have black lines in my aura, but brilliant white streaks about it. Perhaps because this was a willing diableries. My sire’s whispers say that the blessed salubri were known to do this to preserve their power and keep their elders close by. The spirits did have to been re-negotiated with though. I have changed they say, but it is not in a manner they have seen before. >>94765607Oh you poor dear. Summons could be anything from an obligation she has to being mystically compelled to the side of another vampire. It is best to not dabble in rumor and mystery at a time like this. As the others have said, the line of Troile are known as Clan Brujah. You are cursed with an unnatural rage, but you should have an affinity with Potence, or inhuman strength, Celerity, or preternatural speed, and Presence, or an unnatural charisma. Practically, leaving town would be as simple as getting a train or long distance taxi cab. Where you want to go is a different question altogether. For example, a larger city typically has a more dense population of Kindred. On one hand, it increases your chance of finding a surrogate sire to teach you what your sire did not. On the other, the most common killer of Kindred is other Kindred. If you stick to suburbs and towns, you will run into far fewer vampires, but will then have little to no protection from other threats. Your position is not enviable. Lastly and especially if you seek out more of us, there is the matter of politics. You have the Camarilla and the Sabbat as the major players in most cases. If you meet another one of us and they call you Kindred, they are most likely in the Camarilla. In that case, say something along the lines of "I'm new in town, I do not know where the Prince's court is held, and I wish to honor the Fifth Tradition and present myself to them." Say this, and they should have no cause to deny you right to stay in the Prince's domain. If they call you Cainite, they are most likely in the Sabbat. Play nice but leave as soon as you can, unless you wish to find yourself a conscript in a holy war. The Sabbat do not let members leave on pain of final death, and few tolerate non-Sabbat for terribly long. If you wish to avoid the political game as long as you can, stick to suburbs and small but not completely rural towns. Keep a low profile.

I have a hundred and one questions about being a Brujah and the other stuff, but I'm trying to stay focused on leaving now. The fridge is nearly empty and if my sire isn't coming back I cant stay hereI know I need to go to another town or city, but I can't get a cab, my face was all over the news after my death. I could probably get on a train, but to get to a few towns over, then find somewhere to stay before the sun comes up? I'm scared I'm going to get myself stuck outside and then the obvious will happen.Do I need to do anything with my sire's stuff? If she's not coming back is it dangerous to leave stuff behind? if I have to pack a suitcase that's an extra thing to worry about
>>94768870You have good survival instincts, and it is a travesty that she did not even teach you how to hunt before leaving. Start small. If you are concerned about your appearance, disguise it. Cut your hair if you have any, it will grow back the next time you daysleep. Wear clothes you do not ordinarily wear. If you usually walk eyes down, walk chin-up. Little things can make you very hard to recognize. If someone thinks they recognize you, act confused and say they have the wrong person, then leave immediately.Leave the house early in the evening to check how much money you have on that ATM card. You may want to try your hand at feeding yourself if the opportunity arises. Get someone alone, check for security cameras, and bite. Our bite has a quality that makes mortals go limp and makes their memory of what happens hazy. Do not get lost in the sensation, if you feel them go even slightly weak or cold before you are sated stop feeding immediately. Once you know how much money you have, use this wonderful internet to make your unlife easier. Look up the average train journey time between your town and the nearby towns. Then look up sunset and sunrise for the next few days. Plan your trip around how much time you have in a night, with a few extra hours of buffer time for a worst case scenario. From there, book an AirBnB, Hotel, or other temporary lodging with the money your sire left you. New town, new unlife. Besides the essentials, pack whatever you think you can get away with, especially if it belonged to your sire.

And truthfully - best we leave that there. That whole matter is bizarre.

God I fucking hate Brujah so god damn much.I hate them with every fucking fiber of my being.Sure, you might find the alleged "warrior scholars" among them sometimes, but those are few and far between.Maybe it's just because I was a bit of a political activist when I was mortal, brushed up against some radical circles. But I learned to recognize the kind of people that the Brujah like to embrace. They were the kind of "activist" who went to a protest looking for a fight, rather than to further a cause. The kind of guy who could get easily flipped to the other side because he didn't actually believe in shit, and at the end of the day he just wanted to crack open someone's skull.

>>94771303I went as part of an expedition. There were nine of us: three Giovanni, three Lasombra, and then myself and two kinsmen. We also brought along a handful of mortals, just in case. I'm not sure why I was chosen, perhaps because I had made study of similarities between various depictions of the Underworld? The Giovanni combined their efforts in ritual and the waters shore swirled and churned, opening the gates from which the waters of Duat (or Patala, or Styx, call it what you will) flowed. We boarded a vessel and sailed through the gates. We though we were well prepared. We were very, very wrong.
>>94771402Did you find Cerberus?
>>94771470No. But the denizens of the Underworld we did encounter did not take kindly to our intrusion into their realm. Some of them even held absolute mastery of the waters on which we sailed. We lost most of the mortals and one of the Giovanni early in our voyage. I am not particularly adept at combat, but discovered that my nagini form is able to mesmerize dead spirits as readily as it does physical beings (I do hope Anat will be able to use the form as well after she receives my papers). It is however, very taxing to use.Of course, the wraiths and specters weren't our only problem. Eventually, as time dagged on and resources began to dwindle, our party began to argue.
>>94768034the only magical duplicity in her embrace was siccing the perv with a knife on her. Horseman wanted a Sabbat member who truly believed in the cause, and had self control. He put her through a bootcamp of sorts, break them down and build them back up kind of thing. And he didn't want any kind of thralldom mucking up her ability to think. And that's what happened. Stripper git broken down, had a breakdown, and put herself back together under her Sire's care. Soldiers hate their drill Sargents in boot. Then they get through a firefight and send them thank you letters. More or less the same thing with Stripper.
>>94771402Since you were on a boat, you only were at the surface. I was referencing actually entering the black ocean and heading to it's depths. I must confess that I did that once with some siblings, apparently I got lost and I encountered something, I don't know what but it felt.. familiar yet eldritch. By the time I returned to the mortal realm my siblings were worried sick as apparently I had been down there for a few hours but it only felt like moments. I still feel that thing's gaze on me sometimes. On another topic, wraiths aren't nearly as much of a problem if you don't antagonize them, so one of your party must have did something though I suppose the presence of the Giovanni was enough to anger them, they have a potent hatred for them as the Giovanni often forcefully bind shades and wraiths to their will.
>>94771603I confess, I do not understand the specific mechanics of necromancy. All I know is that we for certain sailed upon the river of Duat. What we found at the end of our voyage, when all seemed lost leaves no doubt in my mind.

If I could shit, I'd say I shit on his claims of divinity. And the Antediluvians aren’t gods either—but the scale of their power and the havoc they unleash make them seem close enough. And while your fire, Stripper, is admirable, I’ve seen my share of Kindred burn bright and still be snuffed out like candles before such powers. If the Sword of Caine itself were reforged, every sect united, and all the fury of our kind brought to bear, it would still most likely break upon Antediluvian power just like the waves of the biblical flood broke against them. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fight. But you’ll need much more than passion and politics. Brute force and clever speeches won’t win this war.The Antediluvians are monsters of impossible scale, but even they have weaknesses. If you’re serious about taking them on, forget Mithras’s example. Theatrics such as his won’t save you—but thinking beyond the myths just might. You're sharp, Stripper. Don't dull that edge chasing echoes.
>>94764370Chelys, my condolences. I mourn for your losses—your sire’s sacrifice, your tutor’s destruction. No victory, no matter how decisive, comes without its scars, and these are wounds that will ache long after the battle’s fire has cooled.Hold it to your heart that your sire’s final act was one of faith in you—a gift of power, legacy, and trust. It’s no small thing to bear such a burden. Carry it well, for his voice within you is both a reminder of your strength and a warning of what power untethered can become.Listen, learn, but never lose yourself. The world—OUR world—would be lessened otherwise. You’ve defended your land and preserved your bloodline, but the battle’s end is just the beginning. Reflect on what you’ve gained and lost, and let this hard-won victory be the foundation of a legacy worthy of those who gave their all for you to stand here today.Their strength lives on in you. Honour it by building something greater than even they could have dreamed.
>>94764451Your perspective is pragmatic, ElBeeBee, and pragmatism is never devoid of merit. I see the same flaws in our kind—the hunger, the cruelty, the vanity. But I have no reason to believe these flaws are insurmountable or justify oppression of our kind—or mortals, for that matter. It is reason, not faith, that norths my compass.Empowerment is not found in enabling the whims of the ego, to say nothing of the Beast, much less in succumbing to the ego of others. Massacres and blood feasts aren’t a sign of power; they’re the hallmarks of Kindred who lack it. Empowerment comes from mastering oneself, not others—Kindred who can control their hunger are far stronger, and active for much longer, than the ones who cannot.Tyranny is not a monopoly held by Elders, and in any form—be it from fledglings, Antediluvians, or even the Curse of Caine itself—it is a rot that undermines us all. Both the Camarilla and the Sabbat claim to offer solutions, but they institutionalise the very abuses they were meant to prevent, perverting their own laws to benefit those who wield them. There was a time before sects—I was there and saw it with my own eyes—and the broad strokes of unlife weren’t much different from today. The Masquerade exists for more than mortals; many Kindred—like me—uphold it within our own ranks, not out of pretence, but necessity. Those who disregard it often perish—sect or no sect. The ones who endure are those who learn to identify and respect their own boundaries, even when they could crush them. The path of self-governance is not without its challenges, but it has something sects lack: the ability to inspire others to rise above fear and hatred, to grow stronger without needing to crush what stands in their way. That strength is a light that can burn as strong as the sun. Have you ever seen what happens when hungry Kindred consume such strength?
