We've had some anons talk about making a new mp then nothing coming from it, to those anons I have something I want to say
>>94798447Every proposal was shot down immediately. Some were recieved well at the end of a thread with multiple anons interested and then treated like trash the next.
Thread prompt:What is your character's worst memory? Would they agree to have it removed by Mr. Therapist?
>>94798550>What is your character's worst memory? Agreeing to let Mr. Therapist remove their memory of something they don't remember>Would they agree to have it removed by Mr. Therapist?Yeah
>>94798447My bloodline is too weak.
>>94798550not really, even his worst memories like his fight with momo are needed for him to growthat being said he can also alter muscle memory and skills right? maybe he'll buy some skills so he doesn't have to practice as much with some of his quirksthat or he tries to get his hands on Wind up
>>94798550Hifumi doesn't remember much from his Trigger episode; otherwise that would have been his worst memory.Other than that, his worst memories are probably learning what Sandy has done/seeing the fallout, in particular from the attack on Shiketsu. There isn't much point to removing those, is there? It's not like he can escape it, and would just have to relive learning about it. Even if that wasn't the case, it's better to know. His ignorance about what was happening to Sandy is at least partially responsible for the outcome (at least in his mind).
>>94798550>DesolatorProbably when his first wife died. He wouldn't want to forget though, it's too important to how he ended up.>ChristopherNo.
>>94798550>BobbyNo, remembering reduces the likelihood of it happening again.
>spend time writing out 3 paragraphs of of goals, motivations, and personality and maybe even wrap it up in a card to probably get a single (You) calling it shit for some arbitrary reason>some borderline shitpost will get dozens of replies calling it the best thing since slice bread What's the point of putting in effort?
>>94799078In my relatively short experience here consistently high effort can receive almost no feedback only for half a dozen anons to come out of the woodwork to stan them during an argument. It's not that we don't appreciate builds around here, it's that we're bad at and/or tired of expressing it every time. In short, people tend to silently appreciate characters if you put the effort in.
>>94798550>NightwatchNearly died during a training mission back at the academy. His best friend saved him, but lost his legs in the process and had to drop out of becoming a hero. They're still bros 4 lyfe though. The friend went on to be a detective, and remains a valuable contact to this day.
>>94799078Which builds?
>>94798550Imamu's worst memory was as a child soldier in Chaos Era Uganda, when his sister was torn apart by a kaiju Quirk-enhanced serval. Chaos Era went on a lot longer in Africa than the rest of the world. He would decline. Later bringing Ripper Mutt, the animal trainer responsible, under Imamu's control with his family as hostages was all the sweeter a memory because of it. After Zyra joined him, Imamu promptly has her turn Ripper Mutt into a braindead battery that a more loyal animal trainer uses to enhance their war beasts. After executing Mutt's family and feeding them to the descendant of that serval for him to watch, of course.
>>94799112True. I both suck at giving positive feedback and have opened threads multiple times to find anons supporting one of my builds in some dumb argument.
>>94799112I do try to be positive, but since I don't consider myself an expert I don't have much of value to say about writing. I can only offer my personal opinion, and that most of the time would just be "good job"
>>94798239Last one of these (for now, anyway).Ito Itsumi A.K.A. Uplift.
>>94799112I'm just super behind on reading currently.
>>94798550>What is your character's worst memory? Would they agree to have it removed by Mr. Therapist?>ChihiroDon't think much needs to be said there. That'd be the dojo incident and a very, very strong no.>HimekoHard to say. I'm sure she's lost a lot of people and seen a lot of straight up sickening tragedies in her life. I'd say she simply outlived her husband, so that's not something to point to. I'd imagine her worst memory would have come earlier in her life when she was less used to it all.Either way, she believes that memory is important for passing on the wishes and legacy of the dead, and that to respect the people in her past it's important for her to keep those memories as long as possible... So whatever her worst memories are she'd refuse to lose them.
>>94799693>>>/a/
I just realised I should have called Tough Guy 'the Indivisible Man'.you know, 'cause he's indestructable, and therefore can't be divided up.
>>94798550The second time Feral skewed Orochi, especially because that event made Orochi admit that she and Feral are not that different when it is all said and done. While Orochi is "chill" about it, doesn't make the fact she (nearly) died any lighter.
>>94798550>IanHe has a lot of pretty badmemories. Most of his memories range between unpleasant and awful actually. such is life as a glowie from birthHe'd like to go full tabula rasa, removing most of his memories from his enforcer training, but his mission takes priority over this.Maybe after the whole deal with Reaper is over he'll allow himself that new beginning.
>>94798550>MichelsonWorst Memory? I can't think of anything in particular but his life has been quite bad.(aka I haven't fleshed out his backstory and I'm making it the fuck up as I go along)Would he get his memory erased? No. He's more than made peace with all the things he's been through and done, and would never change who he is.
>>94798550>Kaylee>What is your character's worst memory?Kaylee's worst memory was when she was at her lowest, just before she started applying for Hero Schools. Sitting alone in her bedroom at the orphanage, reality crashing down that if she doesn't sort her life out, then she'll end up some low life bum at best, and a villain who'd be put down like a dog at worst. Not a good night.>Would they agree to have it removed by Mr. Therapist?Absolutely not. You go around forgetting the worst times you had, you'll end up repeating them.
I love how everyone says their characters would never want their memories erased, but manages to come up with slightly different reasons why...
>>94800212People who try to use external means to forget are usually called drug addicts
>>94800212Just wait for Satoru's answer. I bet he's gonna want to erase some cringe memories.
>>94798239>>94799631Whoops! Forgot one.Here's Antideluvian.
>>94800212Most people aren't uncomfortable with the idea of losing memories.
>>94800500are uncomfortable*
>>94800500I was more just enjoying how many different ways anons found to give a similar answer. Not sure why everyone assumed I was surprised by said common answer.
>>94798550>Mr. Therapist>What is your character's worst memory? He, obviously, doesn't remember. Suffice to say, it was traumatic enough that a (relatively)normal young adult decided to erase almost their entire life, including their name.>Would they agree to have it removed by Mr. Therapist?Absolutely. While he's at it, let's remove anything that makes him upset. Surprised he's already gotten a thread prompt despite the fact I haven't written anything on him yet. I'm about 60-70% done my fate writefag and then I can start on the intro. It'll probably be services for some civilians and getting hired by some villains for skill grafting. If anyone wants a feature or mention, please let me know.>>94798725Yes, he sells both Physical and Mental skills. Generally, 1 year of experience costs 500k Yen, but it can be worth more or less depending on how difficult the skill is to train or develop, if you're buying decades in 'bulk', if you're also getting memories deleted for a discount rate, etc. He primarily sells combat and martial arts experience due to his clientele, but he has also given languages (he's a native-level proficiency in any that has 1 million+ speakers), medical knowledge, various stem fields, etc.He was also once contacted by a villain to try and assist in triggering a state of Quirk Awakening. Due to the request involving flooding the client with negative memories and experiences, Mr. Therapist refused. It is unknown if this would have actually helped at all in the process, but it is one of the reasons why the Tokyo police REALLY want to bring him in.Other services include Memory Erasure (obviously) for 500 Yen per year, Animal Training for 5-50k per year, and Information on different individuals (varies). >>94800212Makes sense. It would take something really traumatic and crippling to actually want someone to poke around your brain and remove the memory. And if you do it once, it gets a lot easier to do it again.
>>94800583I don't like the idea of trading skills that easily.
>>94800583One of the most likely people to agree to it would be Mochi, to get rid of the huge amount of negativity he's under. He would leap at the ability to feel happy again. But he doesn't believe he could be truly happy while crippled, so he wants to find a more permanent solution to the legs problem before he buys a fresh start. Otherwise, without the rage to keep him going, he thinks he'd just fall into apathy. Ironically, he's already trapped in apathy due to his emotional torment and unable to make healthy progress in his life. He's just too blinded to see it.Imamu wouldn't object much to Mochi clearing out his trauma if getting a client/success story would make Mr. Therapist more inclined to work with him, since he believes Mochi can still be retained by drawing on his positive experiences with the temple. Whether he's correct in that assumption is anyone's guess.Imamu would also happily pay for treatments for any of his minions or congregation who wanted to make use of Mr. Therapist's services, even if he doesn't intend to use them himself. It is a ruler's place to shoulder the difficult and bloody decisions, to digest the apple of the knowledge of good and evil, but his followers' happiness is valuable. And of course neither of them would take issue with skill downloads.
>>94798550I kinda answered this one in another prompt recently, so for me it feels fresh but for the veterans it's probably not.Lixdite has "the fish incident", when he went on a rampage at about 6 years old uprooting mailboxes, benches, and other loose urban decor hurting a couple of adults too, all because they told him his fish "went to a farm up north". He was found passed out near the pile made of the debris he dragged with him. He already doesn't remember the event but even if he did he would not want it to be removed, it was the reason he started trying to control his powers. There is also the time he asked some very embarssing questions because of his blood powers. He would do without the embarassment but even then it kinda defeats the point, the fact he remembers doing it is the reason he knows not to do it again, ever.In general mistakes make you learn things, and whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that. Also never forget a grudge, no matter how painful, blood needs to flow.
>>94800680nta, but maybe we could limit it to skills that can't be purchased in the CYOA like languages when it comes to player characters. It's not a big deal with mooks since they're built to job, but permanently giving a PC what amounts to 10+ xp in combat skill really is a bit weird.Or maybe find a way to remove it/make it temporary, like having implanted skills require regular maintenance for a while, so as long as Mr. Therapist is separated from a villain for a few days their newfound skills will start to wear off.
>>94800855Needing to actually get the skills in the first place from others seems like enough of a trade-off already, and it's not like giving a few years of sword training to someone who hasn't developed the muscles to take full advantage of it yet is game-breaking. The re-up thing really cripples the whole point of the quirk and how the guy operates. All depends on how Mr. Therapist's anon actually plays things out I suppose.
>>94800855Being temporary would make it better. It'd also help balance out the cost, because as is he does it cheap enough that it's not even that much more expensive than learning stuff normally with how much tuition can cost.
>>94800855>>94800680There are far more egregious things other scaling Quirk builds can do, and his profile already states that they aren't as good/effective as the real thing since you don't have the experience and wisdom to use them, just implanted muscle memory and facts.Stop being gay build police.
>>94800924Also he cant have that much stored up without going around draining people entirely. Which would mean full on villian
>>94801188nta, but what do you mean? Deleting other people's skills seems completely optional for his quirk, isn't it? He wouldn't need to drain anyone, and once he has a skill he can hand it out without any limits.
Is there a list of all deceased builds somewhere?
>>94798550>TakakoHer worst memory would likely have to be her encounter with Imamu, and other "bad memories" probably don't get worse than her ego being bruised by her own standards. The concept of forgive and forget is entirely foreign to her, retribution is preferred but she can settle for hard one forgiveness for more minor grudges while things like her losses against her grandmother are something she's actually willing to reflect on.Since the topic of him selling skills was brought up, Takako would be possibly be me even more against that than losing a memory. Shoving someone else's skill into her head would just mean she's reducing herself to some pale imitation. Buying skills or similar options are a hard sell because how much she wants to distinguish herself through her own merits.
>>94801284No, but...GenmaPsyKingMarshallConmanFloor (unconfirmed)Big HatHijackAre the ones I can think of.
i wanna do a fantasy mp please :^) we have any good fantasy cyoa? there have to be some nice dnd ones :*)
How attached is the anon who made the 2-E npcs to them? I'm considering retconning the rest of 1-F into 2-E in my writefag. I'm gonna do it anyway but anons can just call it non-canon if the dumper is too attached to his NPCs.
>>94801811No one's coming to bat for a bunch of npcs bro.
>>94801811just put them in 2-F.
>>94801835There's already a writefag featuring Cube in 2-E though
>>94801841Who cares?
>>94801811I vote to move all 1-F builds to 2-F, including Rob and Runt
>>94801811If you do, it'll ease my burden slightly. I'm making a relationship chart + writefag, and having to make up stuff about less nothing NPCs would make it easier.
>>94801811Umeko and Noah are the only ones I plan to use in anything at the moment, unless other anons come back.
>>94801811Toybox? He typically doesn't care.
>>94801870I veto this vote on the grounds that Rob and Runt are based.
>>94801870Not happening. Thanks for changing up your shitposting very very slightly.
>>94801648No one? Do we only have MHA players left?
>>94801811The 1-F dumps that got dropped from canon are even worse than the 1-E npc list, to be completely honest. Half of the 1-F characters are a blatant insult to MHA being played at all.
>>94798550KK has very mundane bad memories. The kind of thing where you embarrass yourself and the memory comes up when you're torturing yourself before falling asleep. The most painful time she said something really dumb. Mostly, she's curious what Mr. Therapist would say is her worst memory.Because they aren't load-bearing parts of her personality then she'd let him scrub it just to know what the sensation was like. Kind of like the sensation of tonguing the socket left behind when you lose a baby tooth, but psychical. There's a fascination to it, isn't there? She's actually unlikely to get the other procedure, skill and memory implantation. That robs her of the experience of it and makes for bad stories, which goes against her entire life goal. What's the point in being good at something with no reason, no effort, no lessons or events... it's boring! At least when she juices the odds with doubling up then she's literally only helping herself with herself. It's all earned by her own actions.
>>94801902>a blatant insult to MHA being played at all.I do not care about insulting the source material even a little. For some, it's a positive
>>94801912That's not what that says.
>>94801899If you wanted to be answered seriously, you shouldn't have put :^) all over your post. Makes it look like you're asking ironically and just trying to start shit.
>>94801902They're just silly comic relief builds, no more than Shinkan
>>94801870Agreed, what's the point of merging two classes with completely different purposes?
>>94801928That lie doesn't work when you're defending gross-out trolling fetish builds. The comic relief builds are already in classes.
>>94801940>different purposesThat's something you made up just since December.
>>94801946What did Fullmetal, Bad Touch, and Silver Stream do?
>>94801948One is for silly joke characters and the other is a single autist's dumping ground for his mediocre builds, they could not be any more different than humanly possible. But since you're clearly the dormfag there's no point in engaging with you.
>>94801964And that's still just something you made up to try to win an argument you started for no reason in December. It hasn't been long enough for you to pretend it's Always Been This Way.
You started early today, sir. Bad night?
>>94801905If something really bad happened to her I have a feeling her quirk would activate to prevent it, and since the future one disappears the present one would have no memories of it, at most she would have an indirect description of the events. What I am curious about is, would she tell herself about traumatic experiences from the future that she tries to avoid or would she try to preserve her own peace of mind by just giving information on how to avoid the bad stuff without knowing what the bad stuff would be?
>>94801921oh. it's just how I type. i had to erase a frowns face from this post. i was just being hopeful other people would want fantasy.
>>94802005>it's just how I typeThen you're probably a shitposter and you shouldn't be surprised that people don't want to engage with you.
>>94802005Nta but that is very shitposty. It's also not the only problem with your post, the way you worded that sentence gives a feeling of wanting to start shit. It also seems to reference a very specific cyoa that starts a lot of arguments.
>>94798550>TaKoTakata's worst memory is during his early childhood, when he didn't understand just how strong his tentacles were and a bit of wrestling ended with another kid getting crippled. Given the chance, he wouldn't have it erased, mainly for two reasons. The first is something a lot of other builds already touched on; it's a formative experience for him, he wouldn't be him and he would end up hurting someone else again if he did forget. The second is it's a pretty big insult to the person he crippled if he went and had the memory removed. Besides, he remained friends with that person, and most of his hometown really, even after the accident and moving to the city, so he wouldn't want precious memories being removed.
>>94801892if they're based why would we not have them in the better class?
>>94801996>would she try to preserve her own peace of mind by just giving information on how to avoid the bad stuff without knowing what the bad stuff would be?This one for sure. That's part of why erasing memories isn't scary for her, because she's essentially ready to do that for entire events at a universal scale at any time. Some things you just have to say to be efficient, like, "Don't go down that hallway. People get shot and it's bad-bad," as an extreme example. But a lot of things are simply extraneous information. Does past-you really need to know that you got brainmatter on your face from the splatter and it's way warmer than you think it should be? No. Move on.
>>94802016is using tone signifiers shitposting? >>94802018>the way you worded that sentence gives a feeling of wanting to start shiti guess I'll just stay away from posting in this way then. sorry it came off like shitposting.
>>94802234It comes off as mocking, Saiyanfag.
>>94802234>using tone signifiersUsing the emoticons for "I am a clown and am clowning on you" and "I am being disingenuous for the gag of it" are indications to others that you are shitposting and should not be taken seriously, yes.
>>94802234Sorry, anon. Anons are sensitive about these things. And now, to answer your question:>>94801648We don't. Best things we have that can be considered fantasy are Naruto, Kill the Heavens, and Fate.

It's hard to find a proper voiceclaim so I get that, I feel like when I read a writefag, my internal voice is constantly changing depending on the tone and context of a scene. Spike Spiegel's a good shout, I can definitely imagine him with that voice. If I had to choose for Ryusei... I don't know whether to go with a more suave and ikemen sounding voice, or go with a rougher former delinquent-y voice. The only reason she has a future was because a local disgraced pro hero named Windrider had contacts that could get her into Shiketsu and the judge presiding over her case didn't want to see if the crazy backwoods gun runners were bluffing. Its a lot of weight on her to make that risk mean something and not mess this up.She doesn't like anyone tampering with her head and she hates therapists. She'd probably want it to be removed so that she'd have more confidence in herself, but she's not exactly trusting of Mr. Therapist enough for him to go altering her mind. >>94806933>>94798239It took me quite a while to do this. I checked every single build, seeing who bought options that boosted their strength. When there were ties in the number of options, I looked at factors such as age, training to properly express the strength, size, and the physique in the faceclaim. Some body boost or transformation characters can go up a category. If Sandatsu lost his always-on quirks and their boosts, he'd drop to low human levels.Categories are internally ranked.

Even following that some of the placements seems strange to me, but I don't care enough about it to propose an alternative, this kind of powerscaling is not for me. At this point I'm forced to assume that the people who claimed they were working on a Top Ten writefag were just lying to stall out anyone else from doing things about it. >>94809163It's done, I just need to edit it. Expect it later. Including updates on more pros than just the top 10 may have been a mistake.
>>94808857nta, but are you talking about the city-anon writefag a bit ago? If so that scene was a mess with lots of stuff going on. Biggest thing was that Orochi drugged him and apparently made him weaker somehow, so it wasn't peak Sandy. For Chihiro, she was being buffed by a specific quirk interaction. An NPC that was there named Momo has a quirk that produces ki with a body strengthening effect, and Chihiro has a quirk that absorbs ki, so she was stealing buffs. There's also something to be said about speed being a force multiplier. Even in general a speedster can hit hard and still not be a physically strong. Make it move at the speed of light and a baseball will hit WAY harder than a nuke. Not sure about Orochi, but I guess her quirk awakening made her stronger or something. I don't really know all of what that quirk awakening entails, but life mimicry builds tend to come with body strengthening and quirk awakenings tend to be a pretty big upgrade so it's not unexpected for her to be pretty strong now.In general Sandy really is extremely physically strong. The main cause is his mothers quirk which is similar to his own, but instead of harvesting quirks from dead people it harvests physical power. He inherited all the kills of his lifelong professional killer mother and then added a shit ton of kills of his own after the fact, so his physicals are probably through the roof by now. He's essentially a fucked up evil OfA due to that quirk alone.

Suave VS rough was more or less the dilemma for me too. Those voices are pretty great fits. Gordeau has about the right overall sound, while those Morikawa voiceclaims have a sort of... I don't know... Tired-ness to the voicelines? Like he might be in a good mood or not, but there's an undertone of fatigue regardless. It's something I always imagined Ryusei to have too whenever I read his dialogue in writefags. And yeah, those two also took me by surprise.
