Her acension to the Top 10 was inevitable to those in the know. Some people might consider her a little corporate, but her squeaky-clean record and rags-to-riches story mean that the label doesn't drag her down much.Of course, that's all bullshit. After the nightmare that was Reaper, a home-grown death cult forming right under the commission's own nose, and increasing doubt in the system of heroes, here comes the latest shiny toy to assuage the general public's fears. A confident, easygoing hero who basks in the spotlight, she is in many ways one of the Enforcer program's best success stories, having been groomed for the role since her early years. She's been relegated to the lower ranks for some time, but in light of recent emergencies has been fast-tracked to promotion to help quell any budding fear in a very public way with her style and dazzling smile.Additional information: https://rentry.org/n3yasisf

>>94813156nta, but it sounds like the cult is going to have a herd of sword wielding girls after them. Funny how things work out.
>>94809818If you take creation without growth in plant manipulation, will you not be able to create fully grown flowers, trees, etc. or is it for making a tree suddenly bear fruit?
>>94813199You could make fully grown ones, but once they've been created you couldn't make them grow further. So say for example you make a tree, and someone lops off a bunch of branches. You couldn't make them grow back. You also couldn't make pre-existing plants grow.Growth and size are things that pair well together since you can direct the growth along with the increase of size. So if you wanted to do something like extending a tree branch into a massive wood tentacle, I believe you'd need both of those traits.

>>94814124Yes, one: Chris.
>>94813942NTA but:I think Jinzou Enemy fits Ashleigh? Let me get the lyrics here.I feel like the lyrics of that one may be singing to Ashleigh rather than her singing it, the whole part of “When your dreams have disappeared,You can keep going through your daily routine, but what's the point?”What an incredible thing to say"I think this one fits Ashleigh, even if I don't know who could be singing to her. Maybe Mio?>Mekakushi Code:This one is about a girl with powers that make her invisible. "Though I get into a grooveAnd take the lead at a runIf I can quickly adapt to the situationAnd no one notices me,It’s completely all right"I think the song can fit Hoge, but I think you need to read it to get the full picture.>Groundhog Days:Is Kagerou Daze, a song about a time loop. I don't see a relation to Imai, but if we count his mental wars against Mio, I can maybe see some relation to a time loop? Like having to re-live time and time again a fight against Mio for his Friends' memories and personality. I dunno any other relationship it can have with Imai.>Headphone Actor:No fucking idea of how this one relates to Sandy. Someone may have to listen to it and try to make some sense of it.>Imagination Forest:A song about a young snek girl who thinks she is a monster and was starved of human contact. I wonder who could she be?>Konoha State of the World:Less about the lyrics and more about the content itself. >>94813942>>94814180>Ayano's Theory of Happiness:I don't think the lyrics fit Chihiro at all, but the beat and pace of the song do. I dunno.>Yukkei Yesterday:Hehe, cute song for a cute pairing. Nothing bad will happen to them.>Outer Science:Absolutely Snady to Shihai, I can't see it any other way.
>>94814180>>Lost Time Memory:>She died and came back to life, I guess? There is also the theme of facing yourself, and striving to be your best self instead of falling to despair. I don't think it can have any other connection to Orochi. Not as well-matched as Orochi, but I think there are others that would fit pretty well.Hiro is a pretty even match. Bro got violated by Sandy hard, but still rose up to restore his own Quirk instead of giving up.Sandatsu would probably count himself too, although no one outside of the Wild Hunt is likely to agree that what he's heading towards is his "best self".Hifumi could be added to that, but with a bit of a stretch. Trigger episode coma as "dying", and the reaction to Sandy's attack on Shiketsu as not giving in to despair.Kaylee and Chris also had the coma arcs, and likely could also be said to strive for self-improvement instead of giving in to despair.
>>94814232I think only Snadatsu and Hiro are good fits there IMO. Dying and going into coma are very different things, and the song is kind of about dying and coming to terms with it (good route), or not letting go out of the past (Bad route)
>>94813802I was not expecting to see this series here. I think you used the wrong class, they are not 1-D anymore, calling them 1-D when there is a new one now will cause confusion.

Unfortunately, this month I'm unlikely to have much free time.I should really start catching up with reading writefags too. I fell behind a lot. I think I'll have to make the (You)s I give much less detailed if I want to finish on that task anytime soon too. Hopefully, no one will mind.
Working on my villain politicking piece. Been reading up, but give me a little primer on what the deal is with Pax and the Turncoat Agency? They don't get discussed much these days.

>>94814562Well, good luck is all I can really say. I'm a bit preoccupied myself, actually... I'll be sure to browse eventually, but I doubt you'll be awake by the time I get around to it.As for writefags, I figure it's fine to be less detailed if that's what you've gotta do. Though since you've built up a reputation now anons might end up asking for more anyway... >>94814796Is Saurus that much younger than these two? I thought he was like 30s or 40s. Otherwise it's pretty cool that you cooked up a follow-up writefag this quickly. Makes sense that the guy that's stuck things out is weary, plus the character is typically pretty high-strung, as opposed to the guy coming out of retirement who's already used to letting someone else take the reigns. Good work anon.
>>94814998Yamamoto is in his early fifties, and so is Endeavor. I think it is fair to say Saurus is in his 30s rather than 40s, otherwise, he would be more on the Old Guard of Heroes rather than being a rising star.
>>94814278Quite bad, didn't even get started. Maybe 2/10 at best. I really dislike MHA for flooding every thread forever, but I can't blame them for filling in the sucking vacuum that this Fate attempt generated either.

>>94815047He had Orochi when he was 35, and had his youngest when he was 38 years old. Still, men having kids in their 40s is not that unusual. His wife still wants more kids tho. Turns out that getting back from retirement is a way to avoid an unwinnable battle.

I feel for his struggles, and it seems the new 1-D is keeping up the tradition of bringing in lots of dangerous wierdos and borderline criminals. I like how you wrote his language language issues, I've mainly had Sally stutter a lot and use a limited vocabulary in Japanese because even with a full year of study while she was in house arrest she's far from good with the language.Makes me want to have Noah make a Japanesse Learners Club where he offers free lessons after school to help them
>>94816273Eh, I'm fine with either. I'd have to know more to say which I think works better for it. I guess guild slop.
>>94816273Really depends on what you are using it for.Guilds allow for much more diverse characters, roles, and motivations. With Guilds you can do practically anything and it can produce unrivaled creativity and soulfullness. Though the unrestricted nature can and will bite you in the ass if effort is not constantly put in to organically develop characters and plot points (RIP Fairy Tail).Schools allow for much more centralized characters and roles, and due to how universal the experience is it can be much more easily be used for collaborative storytelling, especially in somewhere as chaotic as /mcyoag/.At their peaks guildslop is easily far better no question, but schoolslop is much more consistent and easy to write for (As we can clearly see with MHA).

I don't see why you couldn't use a teacher though. Could just say all the seniors were busy so a teacher subbed in. Can't really blame you when the senior class is that small.
Endeavor's dying, right? What's happening to Wash?
>>94816859>Endeavor's dying, right?Wasn't he supposed to capture Sandatsu but then retire due to injuries suffered during that?
>>94816931I thought he was supposed to die, but cripple Sandatsu enough that he was both captured and forever changed.
>>94816931Ludicrous Endeavor glaze, if he trades his life to go Plus Ultra and cripple Sandy then sure but getting away with injuries is too little. Does Sandy just not know how to fight with his quirks?
It also means he has less guts and heroic spirit than a 16 year old lab geek.
>>94817080Hes never actually fought a real top 10 right? Just posers?

>>94817918I think you're really underselling Sandy. You don't need empathy to consider people useful, and we can always put it back in after she hits him with a quirk nullification like eraserhead and then snipes him with a super slot version of Sallys quirk so she can fire like a far future plasma gun or something at his face.I dont really know how the quirk works but I recall she could match someones full output at some low number. She even used to have the thing that gave you way more quirk storage capacity before it would damage your body but it doesnt exist anymore, so I don't know if Sandy can update to the new cyoa.

>>94812659By hang out I assume it means with other people?Lixdite would follow along with whatever, the fact people even want to be around him is already strange, he is content to just exist. mostly because the things he likes don't really require a specific place. He likes the arcades and game shops but he can go there alone so I guess his passtime would be people watching? Other than groceries the only place he really goes to buy something would be the book store, everything else he would probably get online. He does like looking at the games in the gameshop even if will get the digital version later. On a side note, he doesn't really like eating any more than the average person but he likes the food places at the mall because they tend to be fast food so they sell stuff he is used to and that doesn't require chopsticks. He also likes roof plazas, but he likes all high places so that's just another roof to him, a very noisy one because there are other people unlike most others. Can the students get part-time jobs? I know we can't fight crime without a license but are normal teen odd jobs also against school rules?
>>94819366I think Sandyanon said that he'd leave his build for the original version rather than the update. Even though he could probably reach the same storage capacity or even more through quirk refinements
>>94820026yea but its not just the storage the point costs also increasedi wouldnt have enough points to have aura+absorption+permanent+vestiges and still be able to afford refinements for the extra customization>>94819590thanks anon
>>94820093Damn. Also I forgot how different the refinement option is between versions, but maybe you could still increase capacity a bit with the old one?
>>94809815Is Heroics a theory class or a practical class? I can see it being both, but just to be sure.
>>94820130Practical IIRC. It's about do practices exercises of field work.
>>94812659>SallySally goes after the clearance racks of some of the clothes stores. Despite how she usually dresses she does actually try to have a more trendy wardrobe, but is very cheap when is comes to clothes and cosmetics. It was a whole special day to get a new clothes in Great Falls when she was a kid since the gas to get there and the clothes themselves were expensive with her families income. And if she has leftover money, she'll go after an arcade or even just some of the claw machines to win a cute little stuffed animal or something.
>>94820130Mixture, practical exercises with theoretical coursework. Combat is the practical one.
>>94819890>Can the students get part-time jobs?IIRC elite schools in Japan have financial aid on offer so poor students can focus on studies. Some, the intense prep schools, even pay for cram school if you're one of the better scorers. That said, schools allow part-time jobs on a case-by-case basis contigent on some arbitrary grade requirement.
>>94820120maybe? its probably been used like that for some build but its hard to imagine the exact amount of point capacity a refinement would grant
>>94820234Most of the other extras that increase quantity do so by doubling it. That's understandably excessive considering the initial 300 QP capacity. Using Afo as reference 300 isn't enough though, so maybe having too much capacity is better than not enough.
>>94820283nta, but the default for quirk refinements was a +25% increase (non-multiplicative). So 75 QP per refinement. Also AfO is weird in the sense that in actual MHA, not all quirks are made equal. Their DNA wasn't playing a CYOA and trying to fill in a preset budget. A ton of his quirks could simply be cheap, 5-10 QP quirks, since that's all was needed.
How many more do we need for the new class?
>>94820352ngl, I'd much, much rather keep the class small than purposefully fill it to the brim with dumps and NPCs. I don't really get why people see a new class and have that as their immediate response.
>>94820352About 13 I think. Classes are suppused to be around 23-24, and we have 10 already.
>>94820377We can keep it small on purpose with several in-fiction excuses, but there's very little you can do with 10. Most of the original 1-D was dumps and npcs by any other name, anyway.

>>94820377Sixteen is fine. That gives a decent number for combat exercises, which is why I plucked that number out of thin air. Six more kids is plenty.
>>94820387>>94820397I don't mind the idea of a smaller class, we already have some very good reasons for it and someone even started a minor plot on it already with the general studies transfer for lack of students. I don't know what a good number is for that, but I know that in some institutions a class doesn't even form for less than 15 students. No name placeholders are also always an option.
>>94820377>>94820397I had some ideas for more. Might eventually write a few side pieces for them too since I write anyways, so they wouldn't be complete dumps. Probably not a whole six more though.Another anon was making a quirk manipulation flower kid.

>>94820533I think I can match it to the image a bit. The flower can then be used to bind and move the target. The flower rooted into the person, can hijack the targets Quirk Factor, stopping them from being able to use their quirk, or if the flower genus is correctly matched to the target's quirk type, control how the Quirk is used.Originally I was thinking Fungi, but I can't budget that without even more definements I don't have ideas for. (The Refinement currently is for the Manipulation to be based on the flowers rooted into people rather than continuous touch, Definement for having to match the flower to quirk to control it.)But it was a semi-NPC build idea, so if those aren't needed, then I'm not sure if I should make it.

>>94820315>So 75 QP per refinement.oh i see, didnt know using refinement like that had been discussed for the first versioni did have a sort of first draft for an update but im not sure ill have spare qp for that, or maybe i will because i think i forgot to factor in resistible

>>94821294Yeah, it's because of wording from the first CYOA. It said you could do small rounding, like turning an 8 into a 10. If you use the first CYOA for your update, I'd say it's a flat 25% buff. If you use the new version, then I think it's fair to double it since that's in line with other extras. That's what I'd personally consider legal.
>>94821332Considering this is a shonen setting and that it'd require a battle of wills then it would only work on npcs that he'd probably be able to kill anyway, so surprisingly little change. It does offer a new way to damage him though.

>>94810847Uoooh, Octopus mommy...I like her vibes. Her quirk is really strong, especially if she can get in the water - gills + a paralyzing toxin + super strong tentacles are really effective against people that need air. You're more than welcome to make Mr. Therapist your Nemesis! Their personalities seem clashing by default (idealistic and delusional villain vs pragmatic professional that plays with her prey), but both fill the same kind of 'niche' in the cape ecosystem (popular 'rogue' types with good information gathering abilities).I can imagine some pretty good interactions already, particularly if he can read her memories and see some of her past. Her quirk might give her some resistance to the more manipulative aspects of his if her nervous system is like an Octopus, so it would make sense she gets assigned to his case. I'm still thinking on what I want his introduction writefag to be - probably doing some of his usual work for supporters, maybe meeting with a villain or two. Would you mind if I had Akkoro tailing him via her camouflage and eventually cornering him? >>94812659It's a toss up. >>94822517In case it wasn't obvious, Gyoyu is a fan of both Charybdis and Akkoro. Not a superfan, but he definitely enjoys their respective charms. He's also fond of Wash and Saurus. He has some Wash figurines back home.Jade is happy to hear her cuz is keeping in the running, and that Majestic had his ego jabbed. Naturally, she's fond of Saurus and his mutant-rights campaigning, so she's glad he still has a lot of prominence.Vaccine is really stoked to see Popsy making a comeback. Loser solidarity.
>>94822517Chihiro... Probably isn't too concerned, largely since she's on board with the underground hero grindset anyway... I'd say she tuned in live just to see Rosethorn, and was happily surprised by Popsy's rise. She'd probably send them a congratulations text at a minimum, maybe suggest into the class group chat about getting Rosethorn and the internship heroes gifts to celebrate. She knows some people in (and formerly in) the top ten to various degrees, but it wouldn't really change how they'll interact.

They ardently believe in the truth of the Quirk Singularity and desire to accelerate the process, believing that humanity will be reborn as godlike beings free from its current faults. To see this future made manifest, they carry out many less-than-ethical experiments. While many amongst them volunteer, some find their methods of recruitment predatory due to a large number of Quirkless and those with weak Quirks being used as test subjects. Although sketchy, it's not what has caused them to be labeled as villains. The cause for that is the group's tendency to incite those who have received their gifts to share them with the world with no respect for temporal law. They do lean quite heavily towards deregulation, but the true purpose of this is to cause Awakenings by supplying sources of stress.
>>94822590Because Higana's Quirk allows her to enhance others, she has both been used for experimentation and serves as a priestess of the cult. It confers her the ability to create and manipulate spider lilies, as well as plant them within others to make their Quirk grow alongside them. The process can be somewhat painful, but she believes that "death" is necessary before "rebirth" and has even allowed a flower to blossom in place of one of her eyes as proof of her conviction. It might just be how she rationalizes the harrowing tests she's been subjected to since her Quirk manifested, but she carries this attitude even beyond the desire to usher about a new age and often comes off as eerie despite being friendly and well-spoken. When whipped into a frenzy, it becomes clear that she's obsessed with making people, including herself, bloom and utterly dejected by the stagnation. She dislikes the alien cult and its leader intensely. Although their goals may both be to uplift humanity ultimately, Higana views her work as helping along a natural process so that humanity may become what it was always meant to be. In contrast, Rescue Ray's activities are more actions of hubris. Who is he to attempt to create perfection when every human already possesses the potential to be perfect?
>>94822517Yamamoto was surprised he was reinstated in the top 10 rank after coming out if retirement, since he retired more than ten years ago. Either the association is too desperate for manpower, or his fanbase was strong despite his years out of the limelight. He accepted already that the second option is wishful thinking.
>>94822590NTA but >"to cause Awakenings"Clashes with Inigo's anons writefag about less than a hundred people having awakened in the past few decades or so.If just stress could cause awakenings, the entirety of 2-D would have one already since they run on stress and trauma.
>>94822628To be fair, nobody said anything about it working.
>>94822628Stress is shorthand for domestic terrorism and general destabilization of society here and the point is that they're trying, not that it's abundantly successful.
>>94822517Hoge is shocked that Popsy is even above 500, let alone in the top 10. For Inigo's sake, she'll not say anything harsh, but she does inherently assume that it will all come collapsing in on itself soon. If it ever gets out that Popsy's being actively set up, Hoge will become incensed at the meddling of it and be her typical gung-ho self at exposing the entire affair. That's PRD's laurels being tarnished, after all.It would ruin Hoge's image of the ranking system entirely except... she's a bit distracted...She's an immediate fangirl of Akkoro. A charismatic, practical, sexy, mutant Concealment type in the Top 10? Doesn't even cross her mind for a moment that Akkoro's an industry plant and would vociferously defend her status at a moment's notice. She finally understands the oshi habits of Inigo and Hifumi, but she also will not let Her Girl lose in comparison. It's in her typical blunt, declarative, hiding-behind-objectivity kind of way, though. If either of them pointed out that their faves objectively outrank hers it would be a grating, unaddressable touche. Possibly some of Akkoro's earlier modeling work ends up in Hoge's secret locked trunk with the gear and mementos she doesn't want the school to know about. Not for perverted reasons. But not for entirely chaste reasons either, obviously.

>>94822685If he didn't say "let's bone" when he awakened then it doesn't count.

>>94823055Okay, I just got done reading about colonialism. MP where we colonize when?
>>94823074Absolutely, if the person offers it he knows immediately where the blood comes from. Before the offering he would be able to tell that the person offering food was injuried and a vague sense of location and intensity. After he would know the nature of the wound, when it was made, and how much blood came out of it. He would be still be very wirded out, even if the other person is aware of his quirk because he doesn't actually need to ingest the blood for it to work. This is a very strange line of questioning that somehow works really well to explain how his power works.

Speaking of the Imamu crew, some of them would be terrifying if awakened. Who would you fear the most?
>>94823180Awakening is stupid and I hope nobody else does it.
>>94823100I intended to just make a villain, but anons wanted freshmen so I pivoted slightly. However, I don't see Higana causing much if any trouble for the school. If anything, she wants to support everyone there and being deprogramed is a more likely outcome than becoming hostile towards her peers if push comes to shove.
>>94823210I hope everyone does it.
>>94823086>Their beliefs are palatable enough to her, but he's an agent of corruption and she would want him ousted for defying the natural order.Actually an interesting dilemma for Imamu, since he would consider both of them powerful potential assets and they both share a large portion of his beliefs. There would probably be a doomed attempt to mend things between them, before being forced to make a decision. But he is also not very fond of Sandatsu, so if Higana's following starts to lean in favor of him, it would definitely make Imamu favor Rescue Ray.Imamu specifically believes that he is a chosen one of Serket, the Egyptian goddess of scorpions, venom and healing, and has named his Quirk the Beast of Serket. It's a part of why he has not yet contested Egyptian control of Northern Africa out of respect for that land, hoping to convert them diplomatically. In Sandatsu, he sees omens of Apep, the serpent of darkness and disorder who will come to try and swallow the world. Sandy's a hungry hungry destroyer shrouded in darkness, after all. Imamu would go as far as to support the Heroes to take Sandy down, if the chance arose and he was aware off the goings-on.Ultimately, Imamu views himself as an agent of order, and a ruler of a nation.
>>94823210I'm gonna write everyone having one. Even the NPCs.
>>94823243Nta, out of curiousity who is the one that Imamu think is the closest to representing the god they supposedly are the incarnation of?
>>94823243I wonder if Sandy is immune to affliction/memory manipulation
>>94823137It's not meant to be literal, but making students that will become pro heroes, I guess? As opposed to making a build who is pretty much set on being either a villain or at best a turncoat hero. I guess I'm basically just complaining that signing up to be a good guy and then making a bad guy annoys me when there's a literal bad guy option. I don't really blame them though. Actual villain builds don't get as many interactions, and that means shoving a villain into a hero student slot is going to be extremely tempting. I can't honestly hate anons for doing their best to play the game that's been presented to them. So I try to focus on being happy about the builds I like instead.
>>94823275He canonically rewinds the changes automatically. Mio messes with his memories all the time.
>>94823180If Imamu awakened, his extendable scorpion tail natural weapon would expand into scorpionoid natural armor he can grow over himself, becoming closer to his mutant ideal.Mochi's awakening would have to be something very out of left field to be at all interesting. His power is already strong and one-note.>>94823274There's a reason he has a particular interest in Lixdite, since he strongly resembles a recognizable god of legend. He would also have a lot of respect for Orochi as the bearer of a mighty monster's soul, and for Sandatsu as a mighty demon.
>>94823339Define turncoat. I made my build with a concept that can go either way based on interactions and how the narrative goes because I think that's more interesting than something set in stone from the start. I don't think there are that many actual bad guys in the new class either.

He wants everyone to be happy, and believes that every living soul deserves redemption and a full life. He chose to become a hero because of this desire, and enjoys his classes, despite having no particular talent when it comes to fighting crime. His Quirk, The Adversary, is an independent manifestation of a small reptilian with extremely powerful fire-breath. This creature, which speaks in a disconcerting deep and sultry whisper most of the time, calls itself the father of lies, the prince of power, the accursed one, and other such made-up titles. It revels in hedonism, especially at the expense of others, but being tied to such a good-hearted boy has limited it. Despite this, the creature is in high spirits, and seems convinced it can, in time, corrupt Kirisuto into using his power for personal gain and embracing a sybaritic lifestyle. It is content, for now, to keep the boy alive and casually torment him day-to-day by burning his things, speaking the secrets of those around it that it has no right to know, enabling the bad behaviors of those around him, and generally causing incidents. Kirisuto transferred from a different school, after being held back due to The Adversary sabotaging his schoolwork, destroying his sleep schedule, and isolating him from his family and peers. He's hopeful for this year, though!

>>94823380Essentially, someone that will become a Pro Hero and continues to commit crimes on the side. Someone who's either lacking a moral compass, or someone crazy enough that their standards for being a good person lead them to be a detriment to society. Either way, they're actively harmful to the world around them as a result of their own decisions. For example the new cultist girl gave me the impression she'd grow up into another Rescue Ray but with a different religion, but >>94823224 made me re-evaluate that. If that becomes a common trend then I'll be a happy anon.
>>94823501I mean they can also just be a pro who does vigilantism, e.g., obviously evil guy can't be brought to justice because legal bullshit so pro hero X turncoats into vigilante y and fucking kills him
>>94823501I see, I don't think my character applies then. The characters are supposed to be students, what the future holds is supposed to be mutable, and they will be here for at least 3 years which is a lot for a teen. As things are right now, with barely any friends and nobody else to count on, Lixdite is still more likely to become a vigilante than a straight up villain. He would follow an idealized moral code, but without worries of leaving criminals alive. Things are already changing, he is meeting people that somehow don't immediately hate him, he has a sort of role model to look up to, and will start discovering ways to help others that don't involve killing people very soon. I think the anons calling him a comfirmed future villain are exagerating, I don't think the setup I made is that negative, or I once again wrote the wrong things and will have to fix it with writing later.
>>94823548And that's totally fine with me. They might be breaking the law, but they're not doing it for personal gain or to hurt people. It's a turncoat in terms of the CYOA, but that's not really what I mean. That's basically the Pro Hero equivalent of being a delinquent.>>94823575Yeah, he's probably going to be fine.
>>94823430It also helps confuse and misdirect Sandy that Imamu would be attending Midas' villain summit as the Red Eyes Oni, an apparently unimportant human trafficker and international smuggler.Imamu's priorities are almost as skewed out of the norm as Sandy's, albeit in very different directions. I like what that one anon said, about how Imamu agrees with almost no one about what Quirks even are, and what a life well lived looks like. But he still wears the illusion of reason, and one could be forgiven for mistaking him as a reasonable man at first shake.
>>94823594nta, but if you ever do a relationship chart for Imamu, please do include his thoughts on what everyone's quirk mythologically represent. I think that'd be pretty based.
>>94822064I liked this a lot. It was well written and had a lot of good characterization. I do have a rather embarrassing request though. Can you please use the codenames for the writefag post in the future? My poor western brain struggled to match real names to characters.
>>94823632If I do I'll try my best, though I'm not a mythology major or anything. Then again his opinions are of a heavily inflated dictator with the education of an African child soldier, so it's to be expected if his takes make no sense.
>>94823656Nta but I was wondering about that. When I made mine I looked at what the majority was in the list and they used hero names so I used those too. Even if it would make more sense to use real names in this context as there is no real hero identity for most of these students yet.
>>94823685Yeah, that's totally fine. Like you said, it's to be expected that his takes don't all make sense. The way a character's perspective skews things is the fun part of a relationship chart.
>>94823698nta, but being consistent with names is also useful for archiving purposes. It makes searching for writefags much easier. So ideally you want everyone to use the same kind of name, and it just happens that hero names tend to be easier to remember.
>>94823698It's not exactly new, it's just easier to refer to a build by the code name than their real name. As an example Ichigo and Inigo have similar looking names when you're skimming the thread. But Double Trouble and Ryu-kishi are instantly identifiable.

A pro hero who just scored 4th on the leaderboard. A pro hero renowned for his legendary battle prowess.Yes, he's Wash's boy. There's a lot of hype around Isao's entry into a Hero school, with many shocked that he chose Shiketsu over UA, his father's alma mater. But Isao isn't too impressed with papa. As a matter of fact, he despises him. He hates his stupid gimmick, the soap commercials, his acting jobs - Isao can't stand his father, and the further up the hero ladder Wash climbs the more he hates him. He refuses to be like his good-for-nothing father, who he sees as someone just coasting by on his good looks(he's a bit of a crank on this topic). He will NEVER take his helmet off, not even in class, citing an obscure school rule. Isao wants to be a true hero, without any of the brand deals or corporate nonsense getting in the way, saving people because it's the right thing to do rather than for any reward. He has a stringent moral compass. Too stringent, some might say.Of course, this means he's a huge follower of the rules and massive stick in the mud. And like any good teacher's pet, Isao has taken it upon himself to become 1-D's class rep. The moment he spots anything untoward with his classmates, he'll try to hash it out with his less than stellar personal skills, and if he sees anything illegal or rulebreaking he'll instantly run to the teacher with it without a second thought. This boy WILL drag his whole class with him, kicking and screaming, into becoming proper, pure, rule-abiding heroes come hell or high water.Fights mostly involve trying to bog the other guy down in soap and make them slip. >>94823427Since you took the Fixed location, I think you should get rid one of the refinements and get Blast on the Projection (and something else for 1QP). Currently he makes that fire but it wouldn't go anywhere. He's basically got a touch attack rather than a breath attack.
>>94823575>The characters are supposed to be students, what the future holds is supposed to be mutableBut they aren't supposed to be blank slates. They are kids that got accepted to one of the top hero schools in the country. There were tests, screenings and evaluations. Even if they are parts of rehabilitation programs, or have some othe issues, the overall expectation should be that they indeed will become proper pro heroes if they complete the hero course, and that they are likely to. Then becoming villains is especially dangerous, both since you've got a professionally trained Villain on your hands then, and as a blow to the school's reputation. Especially after Sandatsu, they'd be even stricter at picking students highly unlikely to end up like that.
>>94825341I don't think that's true. He has gargantuan area and basic control. So from their fixed location (mouth) it can be emitted at different sizes, up to 300 cubic meters. Blast would allow him to spit the flames outside of the 300 cubic meter range, potentially like a mortar launcher would do.
>>94825413You're definitely right. But in fairness, the yandere shitpost looks innocent so far and the background check would come up clean. She even wanted to be a cop one day, and she hasn't exactly shared the evil reason she wanted to be one. And the mechanical villain has a whole false identity so they would also pass a look into their background with anything short of divinations. Lixdite has a tragic backstory but so do a lot of Hero types and he's actively in quirk counseling. What more could the school be expected to be doing at the very start of the year?
>>94825423300 cubic meters is the volume he can produce, not the range. Range is for remote location mostly. For example, he generally couldn't create a 1m x 1m x 300m pillar of fire. He could create a lot of fire in his mouth, but beyond that what happens to it is up to physics, so likely just spill around him as he produces more and go up.
>>94825507 (me)I reread how that Quantity option is defined, and I have to admit I misremembered it. Sorry. It's rather oddly defined by the range of effect. I'm now not quite sure how much exactly he could produce. Plasma would affect stuff beyond itself, but also with a part of it going up it might require more?Anyway, I still think it'd be more of the spill option than a cone or anything like that.

But her bosses are very interested in acquiring him/his quirk, so the face-to-face confrontation scene should probably happen someplace in public where she can't just tag 'em and bag 'em. Even with a 'he was totally a villain!' excuse, Akkoro's public image is very carefully curated and doesn't gel with beating an unarmed, unresisting man not using his quirk unconscious, so he's got a good shot at getting away. >>94825568Notice the Blast option he did not take>You can apply some initial velocity to your projections, launching them at opponents. The lack of it implies to me that the plasma after it has been expelled from his fixed location (mouth) doesn't have any initial velocity applied to it. He can keep producing it to fill that 300 cubic meters and burn everything inside, but I don't think he can just simply project it forward or anything like that.
>>94825564The cone would be more like shaping, I think? Maybe the best way to interpret it is a kind of spilling, sure. A very cubic spilling, like a D&D cube effect.

Though if your bonuses aren't relatively equal in value, you run the risk of anons making samey builds. This is especially true if the bonuses come mostly from drawbacks and some drawbacks end up not feeling like drawbacks at all.On the flip side, having to pay to not suck at something the average person should be able to do feels really balls. Red Hat is arrogant and misguided but not evil, Southpaw is not that dangerous since her quirk is not that strong so they would pay less attention and she is not overtly crazy, her behaviour fits in the educational "i can fix her" spot, and as someone pointed out the real villain has a secret identity which is supposed to do just that, allow her to hide in plain sight (and she is apparently very likley to be redeemed)>>94825462Lixdite's backstory is not even that tragic, he has a loving family and his most traumatic memory he actually does remember is sending a kid to the hospital that made a complete recovery. He was bullied and discriminated but that's pretty standard stuff all things considered and he did not let it get to him too much, he doesn't like people in general but is not on the hating humanity level yet, in fact he is trying to be friendly to his classmates despite the language barrier. His quirk compulsion is his biggest problem and that one he is actively, or will at least once someone properly points it out, trying to solve.
>>94827087Chris is on Mimicry, not Absorption, so he isn't as locked into them. Also, he only copies 2 Quirks. I believe nowadays he usually keeps one reserved for Inigo's Quirk (he doesn't get Gigan, he gets a black dragon named Hiromi iirc), and cycles through the second one a bit, but I might be mistaken.
>>94827101Good to know, thanks anon
>>94827006>Since they both took class rep, I wonder how well he'll work with the police chief's little psychopath.Japan tends to have two class reps, one male and one female so for now it seems they can be both class rep. At least they used to, I don't know if thats's changed in modern times or if it's likely to change by the time MHA happens.
>>94827006>I wonder how well he'll work with the police chief's little psychopath. He can fix her
>>94827179He can't compete with Sandy's parasocial rizz
>>94823501If it helps at all Reiji isn't meant to be a villain and moreso a victim of Imamu's skill at being a manipulator. It's been a few months at max and he's already starting to regret it and is going to freak out when he realizes what the Red Finger did to Conman. That's not to say he's a good person, a pretty significant direction for him is trying to own up to his mistakes in some way or another and I have no doubt that he'll be trying to atone, the flaw is in his cowardice and self-centred need to 'win,' this situation in a way that he doesn't get nuked from orbit with. He'll probably be spending a lot of time trying to help the school so long as he can justify it to Imamu as kicking out all the other rival rats and leaks.
who up slaving their thread
>>94823430Nta but I kind of want to read that rentry. Can you post it now that secret hours draw near?
>>94827651I don't feel like it
>>94827188one day ill figure out a way for him to interact with her>>94823594yea imamu has a lot of advantages when it comes to dealing with sandatsu and the wild hunt when it comes to villain intrigue. his view on quirks is really interesting too, and another point of contrast is the view on quirks, because sandatsu oddly enough doesnt see them as anything close to holy>>94827912sure here https://rentry.org/rkbacd3e
>>94827486Nta but that's what I figured. You already explained it somewhat but even before that he gave the impression of "too arrogant to understand until it's too late". In different regards too, both in the sense that he didn't understand how bad the consequences of his actions really are, and in the sense that he was convinced he could just outsmart Imamu and get out of the job with no consequences. It looks like he is about to be proven wrong on both.
>>94828923Pretty much, it's up to Imamuanon how often he's used but in the original writeup it was implied that his talents are used sparingly, possibly with Imamu intentionally not overpressuring him to keep the 'just an occasional favour,' angle and keep him from feeling the squeeze. The consequence of Reiji's actions are definitely coming, but it might be a while before they're brought to bare, whatever makes most sense at the time.
>>94828994Yeah, right now Imamu has requested copies of student records and for Reiji to sabotage Takako, as far as double agenting at Shiketsu goes, and Imamu included the extra gifts for the latter since it's outside their normal arrangements.Apart from that it's the occasional 'small' request of messing with a security camera here or getting a business' passwords there, and each time Reiji is given a helpful little note of how much of his debt he's paid off to give him a feeling thay there's progress and a light at the end of the tunnel.
>>94829023Makes sense, I'd also added Wealthy to Reiji's finished sheet on the presumption that Imamu and other ventures were also technically keeping his bank account in the green but I presume Imamu is clever enough to abuse a teenager's irrational spending habits by letting Reiji increase juggle his debt between paying it off and actual cash. It helps Reiji feel like he's winning rather than being crushed under a thumb but Imamu probably doesn't care about the money itself and is just making it seem like Reiji is stuck in a business transaction rather than a cult.All-in-all, he's playing Reiji like a fiddle by intentionally making him believe what he's doing isn't THAT bad and he could definitely come out on top of this all, surely.
This talk of Imamu grooming Reiji makes me want a groomer tier list. Who are our top 10 groomers?
>>948291091.Majestic2.Majestic3.Majestic4.Majestic5.Majestic6.Majestic7.Majestic8.Majestic9.Majestic10.Immamu
>>94829078More or less. The requests are very likely to get more dire as Imamu gets some pressure on him too, however if Reiji actually paid off his debt in full and stayed quiet about it, Imamu would in fact let him go. Killing him would leave a messier evidence trail. If Reiji seemed like he would flip on the other hand...
>>94829117Majestic doing his part to put groomers out of a job. They can't groom anyone if Majestic grooms them first, what a hero.
>>94829120The tragedy there is while Reiji currently believes that's a possibility, he'll overthink himself into a box and refuse to believe it once he realizes what Imamu is, imagining a nonexistant gun pointed at his head and making the situation all the worse for himself.
>>94827151In the manga there's only one and every other class we've had there's also only one.
>>94829157I mean doesnt that mean that one will just be Vice-Class Prez?
>>94829182That's going to end up being Southpaw. The other kid is the son of the #4 hero in the country and it's a hero program that needs to increase it's reputation. In-universe, he's locked.
>>94829182The only democratic way to settle it is to hold a vote.I swear I looked over the 1-D builds to see if anyone had bought class rep, but I guess I missed it. This is fine, gives me something to writefag about.>>94829194Isao says NO to nepotism! He's here to chart his own path.
Guess I'll start working on threadslaving... Time to update the notes...
>>94810847>reverse search>no results
>>94829023So I assume this means Imamu knows about the fact Lixdite has blood powers then? Which I guess makes him even closer to the figure of Quetzacoatl in his eyes. >>94829078Would Reiji read the files before sending them/keep a copy? I am not sure how far his arrogance goes in that regard.>>94829157I have no idea about that, I was talking about a general precedent in the culture this is based on. This already created a mini-plot too.>>94829213Well now that's a bad situation to be in for Lixdite. He hates both of them, the girl creeps him out (which is a feat in of itself) and Isao is way too much of a stickler for the rules. I guess of the two Isao is the lesser evil but he would probably abstain from voting if given the chance.
>>94829213Gives me something to write for Southpaw too. I was frauding so far with no ideas to starrt.
>>94829318Is it really frauding if it's a shitpost dump?
>>94829278nta, but that's 100% original art. It's Satoru-anon's style.
>>94829278Many such cases.
>>94810847I just has a stray idea. That's not her real form is it? She can camuflage and shapeshift to a degree so it would not surprise me if her whole hero design down to her body shape was fake. It's probably just a dumb idea but after reading the last part of her profile it made sense to me.
>>94829384am I the only one who finds the style off-putting?
>>94829434Nta but I would have to see more instances to say for sure, because I am pretty sure she is meant to be off-putting.
>>94829434Sometimes yeah, other times it's fine
>>94829434Probably not but I don't agree with you. It's a clean pop-art style.
>>94829443I mean Satoru and everything else from them too. No idea what it is, it's not a skill thing
>>94829415>>94829415>>94829415Hey there hogs, I'm sure you know the routine by now. Roll on over to the next thread.
If Tako anon is here, I'm thinking of making him and Orochi brawl (cuz Orochi can only properly befriend someone while brawling), what would be an effective way to rile Tako up?
>>94829434He's drawn so much Satoru that now all his work is tainted with his incel-ness. The only solution is for him to draw more boobs.
What are my secret hours frens working on?
>>94830531Boring irl stuff :(
>>94830531Thinking of writefagging... I could also go for working on OC. Not sure yet.
>>94830531What about you anon? Got anything cooking?
>>94830956Not so much yet. I'm catching up on writefags in between irl stuff. At least it's good irl stuff and not the boring kind.
>>94830531I don't know if I count but I am writing my second piece for MHA and a section that was supposed to be small just got out of hand. Narratively it's a couple minutes of meeting, but it's very dense with words.
>>94830987Makes sense. I'm glad it's good irl stuff though. Kinda crazy how active things are all of a sudden. Makes it hard to keep up.
>>94831281I just hope I'll catch up when my calender clears up.
>>94830531Same thing I've been working on since September. Might have more time to work on it now that my car decided to fuck up, but we'll see.
>>94830531Still chewing my way through the tournament. It feels like one of those eating challenges, where there's just a bit left, but it feels like there's no room.Still going to get it done. I promised I would.
>>94830531kicking around a 1-D build, still can't get it to come together nicely
>>94832385My ideas keep ending up over budget
>>94832385It's secret hours, you can ask for help.
>>94832585Same. I was considering crosstyping into concealment to farm points but I managed to get everything to fit in somehow.Embracing Volatile Body made all the difference.>>94832588I'm too fucking stupid to ask for help, I'll just hammer it into shape somehow.
>>94832653>I'm too fucking stupid to ask for help, I'll just hammer it into shape somehow.Embrace the veneer of intelligence anon.
