Aeldari vs Emperor's Children is the next big conflict, as many guessed. Slaanesh has become increasingly aware of the other Chaos Gods out-doing him and has blamed his negligence on worries over the Aeldari prophecies regarding Ynnead and the Rhana Dandra. To that end, he worked to undo both and thus free his mind from fear of prophecy. He initially deployed Shalaxi to waylay the Ynnari, which ended with the final Cronesword being placed beyond mortal reach in Slaanesh's Palace. To combat the Rhana Dandra, Slaanesh is taking a somewhat different approach; Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children have been tasked with hunting down the Phoenix Lords not to kill them (which would simply reduce their numbers and make it easier for them to unite), but rather to capture and imprison them within the Warp where they'll never be able to unite. Fulgrim is only loosely following this directive, but was still able to draw Karandras out of hiding before ripping open a tear in the Warp to drag the Phoenix Lord into Slaanesh's realm. This is why Karandras was not part of the Eldar refresh.Slaanesh has an secondary motive to this as well, and wishes to corrupt the Phoenix Lords and by way of them reclaim Khaine's power, giving him an edge over Khorne as a martial deity. Karandras' ultimate fate is unknown, for now.
