>>94827757>4 edh threads up at onceWhat the fuck is going on?
>>94827988This thread is the only one that linked to correct previous thread But the one with more replies has a shit tq and annoying OP
This one has a shit TQ too.
>>94827673I have decided to post in this one
>>94827988Jannies are asleep at the wheel.
>people still believe the death threats smoke screen>at a time where a prominent streamer is whining about getting death threats for snaking on his party in WoW Lmao
What are some other decent mono white revival spells? I know there's a couple that can bring back mana value three or lower but I mainly need something that can bring back mana value four.
Thirty (30) starting life is objectively superior to fourty (40)
>>94828672it's a bit slow but having renimate on your every upkeep is pretty good
>>94827988Now there's 5.
My playgroup says my decks are too strong but in reality they are just bad at the game.Give me the jankiest commander you can imagine to build a budget deck around.
>>94828966Amareth, the Lustrous
>>94828672If it's not 3cmc or less then what you posted is pretty much the standard rate so just use scryfall you'll find all your options. Here's another i just found ans it's actually a banger card thanks for getting me to look. Others would be breath of life, false defeat repair and recharge, miraculous recovery resurrection etc
>>94828834Is "that's not real magic" anon trying to get the topic banned?
>>94828819Yeah that's pretty good. My deck is primarily basics anyway so that should be online with some consistency. It sort of reliably has haste too so upkeep is ok. Thanks anon.>>94829016Now that's one I definitely haven't seen before. Could make some interesting board states and decisions. Thanks anon. I had thought Late For Dinner was well costed for what it does in it's colors but I wasn't sure if it was the best. Seems like it may be.
>>94829578>4 whiteUnplayable.
>>94830179I'm in mono white so it's partially negligible.
this place is such a shithole lmao
>TQI keep thinking about building Miirym if I decide to give up on/change from Xyris, but Dragons seem so expensive as an archetype for the better ones. Overall, they're cool, sleek, big, and classic staples of fantasy so I've always wanted a dragon deck.
>>94830797Miirym is the kind of thing you could probably build to a playable state on a budget considering how powerful her effect is. And to a dangerous degree if you splurge a bit. Though I imagine you'll also probably get targeted a good amount just for playing her.
>>94830937That's definitely something on my mind for sure. If I get tired of snakes or decide to swap out, I'll give a really low budget version (at least for cards I gotta acquire) a try. I actually completely forgot the card doesn't work like Mirrorworks where you have to pay for it, just innately in the etb.
>>94830964why does this card have ward just as an additional fuck you
How do I cope with knowing that Thalia has almost definitely had sex with a black guy at some point? I understand she's not a virgin and that's a huge part of why I fell in love with her. Now she's with another man and I honestly don't feel the same toward her. I'll always have a soft spot for her but I don't feel in love with her anymore. I stay with my girlfriend because of attachment and I do love her but I don't find her sexually attractive really. I think about having sex with Thalia's right young body all the time. I want to breed her but it's not the same romantic love anymore. I don't know how to feel about this. I also want to have sex with an Asian girl I used to date because even though she's really ugly she is thinner than my girlfriend and has better thighs and ass. I want to hate fuck her but I could never love an asian woman. I've never had romantic feelings for one. I stopped dating her because she wouldn't put out. But she was also in her early 40s so she knew men only wanted her for sex. I should stop texting her but I really want to fuck her. I jsut could never live with the guilt. I know Thalia would look down on me and consider me disgusting for even having such sinful thoughts but she might be a coalburner anyway so why do I care what she thinks?
Ward should've been templated as "requires at least X to be targeted, you may pay to make up the difference" so ward 4 would be satisfied by swords to plowshares + paying 3 additional mana or deadly derision by itself. As it is it just punishes "bad" removal even more.
>>94831175While I agree, you also have to think about it proportionally.Ward 1 doubles the cost of Swords, but it's only a 50% increase on Doom Blade.Granted, with valued like Ward 4 seeing print now you start to wonder if you're actually expected to pay that shit.
>>94831225Ward aka Hexproof but we get to evaluate the card as if it didn't have it teehee
>>94831127I think they really wanted to give it protection but if you gave it Hexproof it'd be an absolute monstrosity even more than it already is
>>94831127Because it's a 6-drop and by now 6-drops have "Ward - Sacrifice 2 legendary permanents"
Ward - Lose the Game
>>94831127It costs six?
You ever had a list you’re struggling to get to 100 cards, because that’s where I’m at with Lovisa- probably should just add more lands.
>>94831666Never once, I always go to like 150-200 by the time I have to start cutting and it suuuuucks
>>94831666yes my breena list because I have no playables
>>94831666Building a Shelob deck as a challenge for someone else in my playgroup but the group is such a target-poor environment I'm having trouble coming up with ways to actually make value from the commander.
>>94831666I usually run 105 cards because I always forget Dragon Shield gives you extra sleeves and I still struggle to cut enough.
>>94831969Does your group just not play many creatures? I thought Shelob was mostly a fight and take commander. Or are you going for Shelob, Dread Weaver?
>>94832111You don't actually take the commander, you create a copy that loses creature status. Notably this means they can replay their commander until tax becomes unaffordable.
>>94832111>>94832151Which do you think is better for this archetype? Shelob of Vraska the Silencer? imo
>>94832156That Vraska is half the mana cost of Shelob and makes them treasures and actually steals the card I think puts her in the lead. It's not perfect since they come in tapped but coming in as a treasure and not caring how those opponents creature die sounds better than needing a spider to do the deed. I think Shelob is cool by default but Vraska seems better on paper.
>>94832477the benefit of shelob is getting commanders as tokens
>>94832523Ah right. Thought there was something else about Shelob. Forgot that coming in as a treasure overwrites everything else.
Chat is this shit dodgy?>be at game store earlier this week>someone is talking to owner about drafting Innistrad Remastered>they get told that buy-in will be 29% higher price because Innistrad packs are 29% more expensive than normal sets>that person looks confused and says they saw packs listed elsewhere at only 14% more than previous sets>owner says there is no MSRP and they will lose money on boxes selling at +14% over normal packs>get curious about it>I go home>look it up>yeah everywhere else is selling at 14% more than normal, not 29%>even buying a box at retail prices you can't make a loss selling at 14% over normal sets>Google if Wizards has MSRP>yes, they reintroduced it in October 2024 What the fuck is this? It's easy to say that the store is just overcharging people, but this shit is so easy to look up. They didn't say they couldn't make a good profit, they very specifically said they would make a loss, and it just isn't fucking true.
Is doomblade playable? imo
>>94833445It's 14% more just to obtain them. The store loses money if they sell for the same price as they buy it because taxes get taken out of their sale. It could be that he's not aware of the MSRP reintroduction two months ago, especially if he's buying from TCGplayer and not a supplier.
>>94833491But surely the store is buying at a wholesale price and not a retail price?I'm wording it weird because I don't think it's useful to talk about currencies because everywhere rounds up to .99 even if that actually makes a pack more expensive in one country than it would be in the US.But let me put it this way:If a standard play booster costs 1.00, everywhere I look I see Innistrad Remastered retailing at 1.14, but my LGS is insisting that if they don't sell them for 1.29 they will make a loss on every box. This does not make any sense.
>>94833445there are some greedy stores to be sure but 95% of the time you should give them the benefit of the doubt
>>94833503The fact they said Wizards doesn't do MSRP when they are a WPN store is very strange to me
>>94833500A lot of stores are on the same level on the chain as their customers because they don't have the capital to sign contracts with the companies that get cases directly from WotC. If someone sells something for 1.29, they have to pay 7.25% in taxes, so they make 1.19. If they sold it for 1.14, they would lose 7.25% of that and be left with 1.05.
>>94833579In my country sales tax is included in the prices I've been listing. If there is an additional tax on top of that, I'm not aware of it.
>>94833612If that's the case, he probably has a set margin that he's calculating. If he's trying to make 13% on each transaction, then he's "losing" money because it falls beneath the minimum amount he wants to make.
>>94833588>Tripfag thread that didn't even link previousNah
>>94833644Maybe you're right anon, I choose to believe it
>>94827673Any good creatures like this for Beamtown Bullies that sac themselves before the end step?
>>94833500WotC "wholesale" is a joke. Stores get $100 booster boxes for $90. It's bullshit and MSRP coming back didn't help at all.
Any builds for pic related to not be garbage?I love the idea of a curse commander, but she's just not good enough. Attaching curses to myself is not optional, but then I only get to move 1 off myself at my next upkeep. So not only am I cursed for most of a rotation, but if 2 curses hit the grave, I can only get rid of 1 of them next turn. Not to mention the fact that so many curses are expensive mana costs and don't fucking synergize even slightly.I feel like designing a good curse commander is so fucking easy:>Whenever you cast a Curse spell, you may create a token copy of that spell. If you do, the copy must target a different player.>Whenever a player enchanted by a Curse you control takes noncombat damage from an effect other than this effect, each other player enchanted by a Curse you control takes 1 damage.
Am I a retard for thinking Finale of Devastation used as a game-winning anthem is totally fine but Torment of Hailfire is a bit underwhelming?Ultimately they're both sorceries that function as a huge mana outlet for closing the game, and Finale of Devastation is arguably the better card overall since it's a tutor into play at lower values.
The more I play cedh the more I question how anyone finds anything about these play patterns interesting. It's literally the same blue-farm shit every game.
>>94833445It's shitty yeah. Though that's also just to be accepted in local stores. They over charge violently for some of the sealed product. My main store is still sitting on Doctor Who precons but they're pricing them all at seventy or over even though they all go for less than that online. Some of them even half as much. It's just one of those scummy things stores do to stay open I guess.
>>94833973>Finale of DevastationTimmy spent 5 turns ramping up and maintaining his board then managed to pull off a stylish finisher that brought all his big shitters together for one final swing.>Torment of HailfireGeneric black deck tutored up the same infinite mana combo (again)
>>94833973Finale Of Devastation usually requires a bit more setup than what Torment Of Hailfire is, which is just blow all your mana in and watch everyone else lose. There's a bit more required besides dump and watch. For me that would make it more interesting.
Anyone regularly play this? Is this worth it in mono color?
>>94834634Yes and basically only in MonoC.If you're a sissy fag you can use snow basics to dodge the drawback (ramping opponents) in 99% of games but you will be known as a fag that ran snow basics. Then someone will add Break the Ice as a stupid tech option forcing you to contemplate your life choices. But yeah it's pretty good in monoC barring clown matchups.
Yo,friend of mine asked me to pick up Magic again and I wanna buy a cheap precon for commander. I am torn between Sliver Swarm and Animated Army. Any advice which deck to pick up? I don't have any tokes and stuff, will that be an issue?
>>94834717Go on to MPCfill.Get a deck with any cards you want for $50.Do not give WotC a single penny.
>>94834726I wanna buy second hand anyway. Both decks go for around 90€.
