>>96437893I played a Nosferatu with a lazy eye that seemed to stare in random directions. In truth as he came to realize later, that eye always points at something the other person feels guilty about. He discovered a murderer when he noticed his eye kept staring at her right hand specifically.
What's the highest statistic you've seen on an NPC in WoD? I'm talking about an actual number, not unstated plot device characters with vague abilities.
>>96438110I don't think anything has topped the one time they fully statted out an Incarnae in VtM.
>>96438189And a drastically weakened one, at that. Yet it still has plot device level auspex...
>>96438110From mage, It seems Aeons(incarnae) cap out at around 25. Spirits use Gnosis for social/mental traits when manifested, so the text about "ToO hIgH tO CrEaTe" is just a writer cop-out. The actual thing that makes incarnae scary is the fact they're Awakened rather than stuck using spirit charms.
>>96438189>Lure of Flames 6>Anything else the Storyteller desiresI thought Thaumaturgy paths were limited to five dots. Is this one of those "I'm the writer so it's MY special pet thank you very much and I can break the rules" or can PCs get this sort of thing too?
>>96438259Reminder that "drastically weakened" to old ww writers typically meant most stats missing 1-3 dots off their attributes and powers. We saw this all the time with stats for freshly un-torpored elders in the official chronicles.
>>96438278Any elders can break the rules. There's a tzimisce combo-discipline for koldunic sorcery that requires way of spirit 7.
>>96438110This is the strongest spirit statted in werewolf, but like anon: >>96438266 the things that are revealed about the Incarnae are much less impressive than the writers pretend. It's unusual for one to have a stat higher than 20, let alone the Thousands of dots the more wank-happy elements in the WoD community like to pretend. Lets not forget that powerful incarnae are something methusela are capable of overpowering and binding to their will. The Ante's also have a track record of telling even the Celestines to fuck off(including helios, the one Celestine best at fucking over vamps), and their stats are explicitly capped at 10.
>>96438322
>>96438189Sam Haight mentioned
>>96438363It's okay. Sounds like he's a battery or a portal.
>>96438189In case you guys missed, the reason why he has such high Attributes is because he has no Skill or Ability or Knowledge dots. All of his dice pools are pure Attributes. And this was created before they had Discipline 10 as plot device and you had things like turning into a mini sun.(Also, as a writers pet, his writer definitely wanted avoid his character from dying, especially to high Obfuscate axe murderers. He definitely had a bad experience with Obfuscate are murderers.)
>>96438381True from a mechanical perspective, but it's also true that it's very common for manifested spirits to have no ability dots. The ancient, millenia-old Aeon that's currently topic the leaderboard has 5 human-scale abilities, which for a guy as old as him is fucking atrocious. Spirits are not the sharpest tools in the shed when it comes to the whole "learning" thing.

>>96437893>TQ:Do extra eyes count? I really like the aesthetics of third eye. If not, perhaps something like picture related.
>>96438769Or perhaps like this for something more organic. But at the end of the day, it's all about what your weird eyes allow you to see.
>>96438110Probably the Reaper with 300 Essence. Practically an Incarna. But an actual character sheet? Probably Shaitan or Kemintiri.>>96438769>>96438776I honestly like the lizard eyes but these days I might have become chunni because I like those weird eyes like stars etc. I blame anime.
Were there any Nazi Hunters past the very first Reckoning book, or is the concept too edgy for WW of the last ~20 years to handle?
I was looking at the VTM '92 book's sample session which is a big party in a crumbling mansion in Gary and it gave me really mixed feels. I mean, was it actually common to have a whole group of players willing to just talk to NPCs the whole session without some sort of grandiose battle or something? I feel like we've lost something, you know?

>>9643865690's economics must have been wild. Like today this shit would be Tumblr fanfiction tier (maybe self-published on Amazon at best) but back then it was feasible to write and print up a whole series of adventures where the players had to sit back and watch him be a badass.
>>96438656What's a fully powered ashtray gonna do to me?Is he gonna flick stubs at me? Blow ash into my eyes?
>>96439423>I mean, was it actually common to have a whole group of players willing to just talk to NPCs the whole session without some sort of grandiose battle or something? I feel like we've lost something, you know?I've had sessions that have zero fights in them fairly frequently. My group typically runs longer sessions, so an entire session that's just one conversation? Not really. But I'd say it's the same principle. The point is the story, so as long as the conversation has weight behind it, and isn't just indulgent nothing, it should go on for as long as it needs to. Provided every PC is there, and so nobody is being forced to twiddle their thumbs an entire session.

Mousy five-foot-nothing brunette self-inserts are pitted against towering at-least-two-meters-tall statuesque giants with wild, flowing hair the colour of a precious metal, bright and piercing eyes best described as precious stones, skin that is either deliciously bronzed or shockingly alabaster, and hearts that are almost as hard as their abs.

I remember accidentally stumbling upon a trove of these by daring to commit the cardinal sin of looking up cheap minotaur tabletop monster minis lol. They used to be actually ghost written by actual humans back in the Chuck Tingle days, so at least there was some sort of ironic enjoyment to be had, but ai hit the ''industry'' like crack hit inner city neighborhoods.
>>96440362These books are effectively hentai for women. Whereas men can get easily addicted to visual stimulation and then crave more and more extreme stuff, the same applies to women and written erotic fiction. They get hooked on understandable stuff and then if they get addicted, they graduate to the kind of stuff that wouldn't turn on an un-addicted person.
>>96440498Pretty much spot on. Look around at porn artist groups and you'll easily find similar stuff.
So in my Hunters Hunted game, the other players finally realized what the “psycho” part means in my “astral psycho punk hunter” short description. Also why I have 4 humanity. It all happened when we captured one of two hillbillies selling drugs made with vampire blood and stds. We wanted to find out where the vampire they get their blood from is located, and my teenager resorted to torture. I spooked the hunter priests (player, ST and characters alike) with my initiative to drill the hillbilly’s kneecaps with carpentry tools. Unfortunately he couldn’t be broken and he bit off his own tongue. Though not before spitting his diseased blood on some of us (another player got leukaemia, I got spit on twice but realized the danger beforehand and managed not to get infected).>>96437893I like those black scleras. Where cell phones were just phones and nothing more and social interaction involved night life outings to clubs for specific subcultures. Its easy to see how the concept without the gritty realistic flaws for those of us who lived through the time may seem simple and more appealing to a generation who grew up constantly on camera, being tied up in social media in their tweens and living with all ...this we live with day to day nowadays.>With streamers pushing a massive boom in players of the game places like the VTM subreddit are being inundated with zoomers asking how realistic the games depiction of the time was and what it was like back them. Goth and Emo styles seeing a resurgence within youth culture almost surely played a part in this push. Perhaps this means the games long awaited sequel will be setting people up for disappointment as it represents these sadly more corporate and sterilised modern nights.

Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren't wearing enough hats. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Are the Cheiron Group CofD's counterpart to Pentex?
>>96444130Yea I know. That caused rats to explore the streets looking for food. Happened in Washington D.C. and New Orleans too. And rats already do little wars and acts of cannibalism, the mass starvation just made it highly visible. From what I've read the Ratkin would probably just interpret it as the Wyld or Gaia as a great plague sent to punish humanity. >>96442975The late 90s were a time of incredible optimism. The cold war was over and there was no significant international conflict that the west was embroiled in, the internet was strange and new and an absolute wild west before the invention of Web 2.0, economies throughout most of the western world were absolutely booming and living a non-conformist life was becoming mainstream in a way that meant that people were no longer being shunned for having alternative interests and lifestyles. Kids who grew up in that time pretty much felt like anything was possible and they were told as much, with higher education being made more available to tell them than ever before, with the promise that they could become whatever they wanted to be.I can't blame Gen Z for wanting to experience that time period for themselves and all of the hope and freedom that it promised. At least they won't have to experience all of that potential suddenly exploding, being snatched away and/or transforming into something far uglier and less promising.
>>964430031) Staying at home isn't boring like it's supposed to be. I mean, of course people had better attention spans and were more willing to play multiple campaigns and leave the house when the alternative was watching Punkie Brewster reruns. 2) It's also not Zoomers' fault that third spaces got fucked. Boomers prefer soulless chains so Starbucks quashed all the local coffee houses(note too that Starbucks is designed to be as uncomfortable as possible so you leave ASAP). Private equity squats on swathes of storefronts and apartments and they'd rather lose money and take a tax writeoff then let some random small bookseller, dive bar, or art store open up in their properties for discounted rent . You also have the homeless hordes ruining parks, libraries, etc.
>>96444293>How do Gurahl fare? I remember reading them and not liking them, which disappointed me because I like bears.Badly. The lack of extra actions and harder rage gain effectively cripples them in any comparison, their special feature is crap, their template, even in war form, is, idiotically, worse than a woof's, and IC they are solitary, benevolent and docile, which means they would get fucked up by any pack.DESU Gurahl are probably the worst Fera in a war (because other 'weak' contenders don't have an entirely unwarranted image of tough targets, and ain't gonna fight fair or get jumped on).

>>96444646I think thats part of the appeal. Like its no secret zoomers are ageing far faster than millenials. A millenial at 50 is biologically closer to 30-35 on average but a 25 year old zoomer is closer to 40-50. They are going balding or greying in their 20's, developing more lifetime illness and debilitating conditions not just from growing up drinking energy drinks and shit from a young age but simply dealing with stresses millenials didnt as the last generation to grow up without social media and the whole post 9/11 constant fear climate pushed by the news.I've seen tons of videos showing up reposted from tiktok on other sights of someone who is 25 with a grey beard freaking out because his 52 year old neighbour told him "kids today dont know what it was like when we were their age" and thats purely because they have been living in a constant fight or flight state for most of their life and that shit physically ages you fast.So they look at millenials who can be a big fat lazy piece of shit pushing 40 and still getting carded sometimes and going "what do they have that i dont?" and really it just comes down to formative years and the 90's being the last time kids could be kids rather than "hitting the grindset" and being told they need to hurry up or be left behind by grifters trying to sell them a scam every minute of the day on a smartphone and they wish they had that.Honestly i just feel sorry for them really. People love to shit on zoomers but really imagine only ever knowing a 21st century world and all its dogshit. Thats not a life i'd want to live. >>96433801The thing I was talking about, The Father's Form, is in 2e. So 2e. I think 2e is just generally better over all. It has a better sense of what the game is, the core template mechanics are a lot more interesting, the new Gift layout is better tied to Renown and the abilities have better design over all. The usual CofD caveat that 2e is built to be used with 1e and you're missing out by ignoring the older edition does apply though. 2e doesn't tend to touch stuff 1e did because those books are still useful. 2e made only minor changes to the fluff over all, and while the mechanics can be quite different in structure most of it works with only a few tweaks. A lot of mechanical options is also updated in 2e books, but the stuff that isn't mostly works as is. The biggest places you'll have trouble are with bespoke Host options from Predators, or the slew of 1e Lodges but most of that stuff is easy enough to use. The handful of 2e books also gives you a decent baseline to work off of.

>>96446023Wouldn't an influx of microplastics, metal, and preservatives make someone more weaver-tainted than wyrm-tainted? Americans are so soaked in preservatives that we literally don't rot properly when we die anymore. In the vietnam war, the Vietnamese thought Americans were immortal demon-zombie things because our corpses wouldn't rot for Weeks after death and animals avoided eating them(In the same amount of time, their corpses would be bones). Wyrm is more into all the carcinogenic and immediately toxic chemicals.
>>96447105You're kinda lucky, because I've been toying with this concept over the years. I had actually crafted my own craft of mimes mostly based in Europe that lorewise were created by Marcel Marceau. Essentially their paradigm requires complete silence on their part for the magic to work so some mimes go to extremes like cutting of their tongues or removing their own vocal cords surgically, though higher ranking mimes consider that amateur behaviour. So rotes I had created were, trapping people in invisible boxes to suffocate them, super stealth, Arcane/Obfuscate type ''invisibility'' eating invisible food to temporarily satiate hunger, miming weapons (any weapon of your choice from the wod master weapon list, but it always does bashing damage and lasts a single scene; ranged weapons always only have a single ''clip'' worth of ammo. You can, of course, charge the rote with Prime for agg damage (think the Mime on Mime violence scene from Family Guy)), creating invisible beasts to attack their enemies, etc. Their preferred sphere was Mind, however the interesting part was that they don't create illusions, but actual chimaera, so changelings can see and interact with the invisible items/creatures.I was gonna do a doc write up at some point, but I was too lazy. lol
>>96447647Nobody really cared about them before that. They weren't quite as mind-numbingly boring as batini, knesset, bahari and other little shits that think themselves too special for celestial chorus, but don't tell me that demon-worshipping trannies are interesting, or something world lacked, what's with all those tzimisce and their aids-infected eastern counterparts running around.
>>96447068>Their influence over an ever-expanding collection of dark-web economic systemsIt's always jarring to remember the VA are still responsible for and the larges contributors to the dark web. That bit of lore really blows a hole into any attempt they make to look like the good guys.
>>96447680Nah, that's the defiler in action. Remember, the corruption of wyrm is because the weaver didn't let it do its job properly, making the defiler, which cannot destroy, only taint and torture slowly.Plastic is of the weaver when it's used, it should the purview of the wyrm when its time to be broken down comes. But because the actual wyrm isn't able to do its job in places it's being constrained by the weaver, the defiler gets full reign to have those preservatives and plastics cause cancer, disease, etc.
>>96447715Tbh I kinda like how weird some of their rotes and demonic investments get. I also feel like they make complete sense in the context of the 90s where an American writer who's never set foot in Asia, but has been exposed to ultra violent anime filled with androgynous/crossdressing characters. They were cut from the same cloth as the Kuei Jin lol.
For me, it's the Samsa
>>96447761>making the defiler, which cannot destroy, only taint and torture slowly.Anon, that's not true at all. The wyrm is absolutely able to destroy still, even the Garou point out that Death wouldn't be a thing if the wyrm wasn't able to do its job at all. The wyrm is trapped to only be able to perform its job when and where the weaver allows it to. That's why the hydra exists, they're fragments of the balance wyrm slithering between the weavers webs to corrupt her works in the wyrms attempt to eat away the prison."Corruption" itself is just destruction slowed down to a longer timescale. Preservation is completely contrary to everything the wyrm stands for even as a corrupter, and therefore would belong solely to the weaver.(On a meta sense, making everything bad in the material world the fault of the wyrm is against the central theme of werewolf. A lot of the bad shit Should be attributed completely to the weaver, otherwise the weaver becomes the unironic pro-humanity Good choice)

If they're a singular Werewolf you could always offer them a hand in finding a pack for them to join. Maybe he joins the PCs for a bit of a road trip?
>>96449085Just a point to remember: Werewolves are NEVER alone unless they're ronin(exiled werewolves that're falling to the wyrm). Your hunters are either likely to come across an entire pack/sect or another changer that isn't a werewolf.Given the contest, a Gurahl(werebear given the directive to heal and pretect the wild places) would probably be a better NPC to use.
>>96449319>wod is bought by a company called Paradox, who from then on constantly causes backlashIt's shit like this that makes me think God has a morbid sense of humor.
>>96449368They aren't literally NEVER alone. They can split up for practical proposes if the situation calls for it. Or they could be forcibly separated>>96449085Maybe the pack the werewolf belongs to just had a run in with some particularly nasty leeches (vampires) and all but your garou dmpc are killed or at least down for the count. The last remaining vampire is near out of blood and flees, with the werewolf in chase. The vampire runs across the players, thinks "what luck!" and goes to drain them. While the vampire and PCs are fighting, they hear a howl, the vampire exists stage left pronto, and the werewolf chases after but loses the trail. Then on his way back finds the PCs, and assumes they're kinfolk because they aren't showing the usual delirium response (normal humans go catatonic or flee when seeing werewolves, kinfolk - humans born of werewolves - don't do that, and the veil - or werewolf version of the masquerade - doesn't apply to kinfolk). He starts talking werewolf shop, asking why they're out of their usual territory, what pack they belong to, players are confused and say they're just hunters, garou is confused but certainly wouldn't be hostile. Could build relationship from there, starting with mutually hunting down this last vampire that's in the woods somewhere.
>>96449539Exits* stage leftAlso, if one of your players is female, there's an all female tribe of werewolves that are honor bound to help women in need, and being attacked by a vampire is about as in need as you can get
>>96449085There's a lot of differences between WoD and CofD Werewolves. WoD werewolves are angry eco warriors fighting against some valid targets but also anyone who pisses them off. CofD Werewolves are all about keeping balance between the spirits and the "flesh" or physical world. A common enemy is always cause to work together. Of the two, I'd say the latter are more likely to be a friendly contact than the former, as WoD Werewolves have a penchant for chauvinism towards humans, though it isn't impossible. Both typically run in packs, lone wolves are rare but possible in both. Personally, I'd advise against having an ally Werewolf in either case, as both have a problem where they do a lot of the same things hunters do (fighting, teamwork) but better, and with weaknesses that Hunters don't really cover well. So your players would just have an ally that's them but far stronger while still being a supernatural "other".
>>96449319>you remember bloodlines 1 as better than it wasThis shill line makes my blood boil. If Bloodlines was so bad, why are you using its name and reputation to sell your by the numbers, linear, derivative punch game with the vaguest suggestion of dialogue options?

>>96449319What paradox did now? Put clans under dlc?
>>96449574In my experience, while both kinds can be hostile or cooperative, or frenzy for no good reason, it's F2e werewolves who are pain to deal with, because they're more pissy over stupid shit, waaay more territorial, don't really have a problem with murdering upstanding, law-abiding humans (old woofs really try to avoid murdering untainted humans if they can help it, new murder for parking tickets, noise complaints and other shit that's their fault) and don't have a bigger threat you can fight together and bond over. With old woofs, while you have to be cautious, it's only a fight if you're a vampire or it's a dipshit gang, and even then all but crazed beasts have some peculiarity to facilitate a murder-free if not cordial encounter. Not without risks, of course, werewolves are likely the most volatile playable supernatural you'd ever meet, but I really had much easier time coexisting with garou than uratha.

I’ve never heard of them before.>>96449868Ohh… I don’t like the sound of that. So old werewolves are more likely to not blender them, okay. I’m not looking for them to fight, it’s just more of a hook for later to pull a “they might be a ‘monster’, but are they really a monster” moment later in the campaign.
>>96450031* >>96449539
>>96449999>Sounds like doing a werewolf would require a lot more research and knowledge that I don’t currently have… I don’t know what the septs or tribes are at all.If you want to do Werewolves accurate to either WoD or CofD. If you just want "a werewolf", don't listen to the loreheads, you're under zero obligation to run a supernatural as it is presented in its own gameline. What Hunter are you even running?
>>96449999>quads checkedSepts are werewolf home bases where like-minded packs gather. They go there to conduct rituals, rest, etc. Tribes are analagous to clans in VtM, if you're familiar with that. There's thirteen of them (used to be more), each has a slightly different set of powers they share (but with lots of overlap with other tribes), general outlook on life, etc. They aren't genetic, you /can/ leave a tribe and join another if you really want, but almost always you join whatever tribe your parents are in. Kinfolk don't experience delirium when they see a werewolf that has shifted, but that's really about the only difference. Very rarely they can have gnosis (the stat that powers werewolf magic) and use some simple gifts, but 99 times out of 100 they're just humans (humans with a pretty shitty lot in life, at that). As someone who just read through the WtA V20 core book to get a better idea of what werewolves are like for his VtM game, you really don't need to bother doing research if you don't want to. A read through of some wiki pages is plenty unless you actually want to run werewolf. Otherwise give him enough stats to be a blender, know that werewolves hate vampires, big corporations that pollute the earth, evil spirits, etc. and while they mostly look down on humans they would probably be appreciative of ones that hunt vampires and other wyrmish creatures, even if they think the hunters efforts are a little futile compared to what a werewolf can do.>>96450031>Wouldn't a vampire that takes on an entire pack of werewolves be really strong?Yeah. I was imagining a group of vampire and a pack of werewolves, and they've each killed off or gravely wounded each other so there's only one of each left standing, so it's easier to hunters to tip the balance one way or another. Up to you though, of course.
>>96449706>I dont understand movement in X20.They expect this shit to be handwaved because theater of the mind and all that jazz.
>>96450029>recessive Garou traitsAnon there's a good reason Revised stopped referring to the instrument of Garou heritage as a recessive gene, and that's because recessive traits generally indicate that a given gene's code is turned off; the protein that it has the instructions for is clipped or completely nonfunctional. Referring to it as such ws from long before the line had to do research on genetics to present something for DNA's chapter of Book of the Weaver, and it seems like after they produced that, they didn't feel that it was something that they could keep, so they didn't.>>96449999Kinfolk don't have the inborn utter terror of Crinos and can learn some Gifts if circumstances align to allow it and they have the traits for it (so nothing that requires Rage and only rarely ever for Gnosis).Septs are local collections of Garou gathered in defense of a caern. Tribes are one of the three splat axes of being a Garou, the other being Breed (your birth form) and Auspice (sign of the moon you were born under).>>96449054They're not allergic to it, they're wholly immune to it - they can't be ghouled, blood bound, or embraced. And, if the need arises, they do, in fact, consume vampires.>>96447332>According to the Fianna 2e tribebookCompletely disowned by the line because of the shit way that it handled their relation to Irish sectarian violence.
>>96450031>Where could I read more on Gurahls? The old Breedbook Gurahl, it'll be in the mega with all the other Breedbooks. WtA20 has a book with all the changing breeds, but it's complete garbage.
>>96450031That's my experience as a reader and player, mind. Sizeable, but being a Storyteller you have full control over werewolves and their demeanour and agreeability. At the very least, few werewolves in either world would murder a human outright, so if your players appeared in his area unwillingly and didn't give him an insult even if he doesn't welcome their presence he'd rather see them on their way than attack them. What you need to keep in mind, religious duties and renown aside, is merely that werewolves are consummate survivalists with pack mentality and occasional frenzy hazard.Pack mentality is the useful feature here because, as I understand it, you want your werewolf to be alone? That might be a good reason why he'd be willing to work with your guys, if his pack got killed off, or he got banished from his tribe over something. He wouldn't reveal himself immediately, but give them enough common threats or even things to work together on and if they fit he'd consider your party as "us" in "us vs them".
>>96450068Vigil, 2nd Edition.>>96450309Okay, I’ll take a look.
>>96450411>Vigil, 2nd Edition.Honestly bro just check out the HtV1e book Spirit Slayers. It'd be a bitch to convert apoc shifters over terribly accurately so there's good mechanical advice in there, and setting agnostic werewolf plot hooks if you don't find any of the apoc stuff to your liking. Use the stuff in that book + any stuff in 2e monster creation that you like and you could make a pretty decent DIY shapeshifter of any stripe.I might second the werebear angle if you want oWoD lore since they're more solitary and don't have a reputation for being raging assholes if you must have a friendly shapeshifter.
>>96450139>>96450319Okay, so a werewolf who’s lost their pack would be good, especially if the hunters help them finish off whatever took out their pack. Might come back to benefit them in the future, too.>>96450445Okay, I’ll take a look at those too. I don’t mind having a werewolf, even with their penchant for assholery, since I used them as my example of aggravated damage when teaching my players the game. I think they’d get a kick out of having one of their allies in the future being a werewolf. I am curious about the werebear though, so I’ll have to weigh my options.
Drawfag here, with a few new things. I went back and re-approached this Ferectoi (bane child) and her Pentex-assigned "teacher" and "babysitter".>>96447808I'm flattered that people still remember this old pic! I'm glad you enjoy it! Oh yes, and a little corporate mascot I sketched up for Pentex!
>>96450718>>96450668I forgot to add, this Ananasi pic is only a WIP at the moment, not completed!
>>96439423>>96439843This. Yes. Turn down the lights and everyone contributes to the World of Darkness. The Storyteller was concerned about "setting scenes" properly and hitting "story beats" for the most part. If your game was turning into dice pools, you were doing something wrong.
>>96450651Thanks. When it came to the wilderness, I just envisioned a sort of hilly forested area, nothing too specific. I’m from South Florida, so I’m not very familiar with terrains that aren’t flat. The doomed flight they’re on was going from Georgia to West Virginia, so I assumed they’d crash somewhere on the west side of Virginia.
>>96450718>I like to imagine about just how many drugs are in O'Tooley's food products!Just the normal stuff you find in irl scandals, just more of it. Maybe actual opium like that one noodle restaurant but that sounds like something a bagle restaurant would have first.
>>96450309>Complete garbageNo, but it does have startlingly low production values and artists who did not fit with the setting. The basic mechanics given are generally a much-needed polishing of prior systems.
>>96450792There's plenty of Appalachia still in Virginia proper. If you wanted to could even have them crash in the blue ridge. Beautiful country, though not that remote. The closer to the border to WV, the more remote things will get if you want real "hillbilly".
>>96450882You think so? I feel like O'Tooley's burgers are chock full of drugs that we don't even have a name for, fomori-extratives, Wyrm-mutated bugs, and all sorts of ultra-addictive stuff. Not to mention the meat probably not being from "normal" cows, if the meat is even from cows at all....
>>96450989Pentex actually has a secret breeding stock of Wyrm'd Apis and that's what O'Tolley's meat is made out of
>>96451023That's a good idea! I also imagined that quite a bit of their meat also comes from A) human cattle and B) nameless masses of wyrmish flesh. Yummy!
>>96450989The meat is indeed from cows. Mad cows. It's the bbq rib sandwich the one that's made of some weird maggot paste and the employees regularly step on the lettuce containers, you know, the last thing you'd want in your O'Tooley's burger is someone's bane fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get.The fries are safe to eat, though.t. former worker.
>>96451039I meant it more as a joke, if Pentex had enough Apis to supply the equivalent of McDonalds that would make them the most populous supernatural in the World of Darkness.
>>96450989Fair, odds are the vegan related posts painted a bad enough picture that I went "eh this seems evil to the point "separate" supernatural stuff wouldn't really add anything". Like yeah the hormones are extra bad they are Wyrm tained but seving long pig feels cartoony enough to "separate" from real events.
>>96451074Wyrm Tainted crops and cattle a la Monsanto would outnumber everyone and their mother, it is a matter of how do you make that work with your game.
>>96451074I think that creatures DESCENDED from Apis genetics would work fine, bred to be huge and grotesque mockeries of cattle. Butchering and serving mutated meat drenched in drugs and exposed to banes feels right at home for Pentex. But can't forget the "veggie" burger (made from genuine human vegetables) and the new eco-friendly bug burgers, for the environmentally conscious citizen (now made with organic petroleum!).
>>96451039>>96451040>>96451087Imagine an O'Tolley's Impossible Meat burger. The sheer amount of preservatives and chemicals that just immediately put someone on the path to becoming a Fomori. Like how the Burger King Impossible Whopper just had obscene amounts of Estrogen in it.
>>96451106Spirits, including Wyrm ones, already outnumber everything else in WoD so no big deal
>>96451131>bred to be huge and grotesqueWeirdly, modern cattle are actually midgets compared to what wild aurochs were. They were bred that way be necessity, good luck trying to rangle an angry bull when its head was the size of your torso and it's horns were as big as your arms.
>>96451155My thoughts exactly. Wouldn't it be just the perfect mockery of the Fera and Gaia?>>96451183When I said huge and grotesque, I meant more like a shuffling mass of flesh, maybe even with multiple diseased heads.
>>96451183To be fair, allegedly, it took until the 1900s before ranching bison became viable at large scales.
>>96451204Absolutely. Wyrm tainted Impossible Burgers would also be a great way to trick environmentalists and vegans into actively making the world worse. Make them think they're making the "environmental" choice when in reality they're eating something so unnatural it won't even rot.
You know?An edgy take on current events would say that Pentex puts banes in trans teens' hormones to make them go shoot up schools and churches. But there's also those pedo-satanic discord groups that make kids kill their pets and commit mass shootings, those feel very Nephandi.
>>96451275pentex would totally do that and also sell guns that are easier for kids and teens to usefor self defense of course
Since psychics are a thing in WOD especially WTA think Werewolves would ever intermarry with them and potentially create psychic werewolves? Psychics are tracked down by Pentex owned companies to turn them into Fomori. But by themselves psychics aren't Wyrm tainted. Werewolves are also interested in finding strong mates so that they have strong offspring, and having the power to move things with your mind is pretty powerful. As for how the wolves rationalize it they can explain away as psychic powers being gifts from Gaia and the humans that gained such abilities were worthy or especially close to nature.
>>96451297
>>96451297Don't forget a Pentex subsidiary that makes the most shitty mass produced guns known to man. Like Keltec or Hi-Point on meth and crack. Shitty guns that discharge easily and ammo that just fucking explodes.
>>96451309by rules psychics are a sort of sorcerer so garou would never inherit these powers. kinfolk might but most garou don't really like to empower them
>>96451353"Gun's don't kill people, people kill people. Except for Pentex guns, they really WILL shoot you all on their own. Because they hate you, on a personal level."
>>96451309Inherited powers rarely overlap and psychics aren't really strong enough to attract the attention of the fera.
>>96451234But that's terrible. People would still feel satisfied anyway about having done their part for the day and like anything more is imposing.
>>96451372based i hate everyone too. give me 10
>>96450944That sounds sick, actually. Getting saved by some rugged wilderness stranger in the Appalachians gives me a lot to work with. I appreciate the suggestions, and everyone else’s help as well. Thank you!
>>96451366Garou have kids with sorcerers and mages all the time. One of rare instances in WOD where supernatural groups overlap. If I remember correctly in the "Rage Across Appalachia" book there's a bunch of examples of Garou born to Mage and Faerie parents. Must make for some interesting family reunions. >>96451373My idea for Psychic Werewolves is that there was a huge burst of psychics bring born in the 60s to 90s which led to all the Pentex experiments on them. Werewolves raid a Pentex research lab and one of the pack falls in love with one the psychics they end up freeing. Sort of like a fairy tale. Or a werewolf (probably a bone gnawer or Child of Gaia) encounters a psychic on the streets, anyways both of them bond over how they can never truly be accepted in human society. Years later a Garou is born with the power of the psychic parent. I imagine it could work like a rank one starting gift that could be made stronger over time. The problems being spirits are distrustful of the wolf because of its innate abilities, doubly so for elders and the rest of Garou society.
hey guys? my brother joined some weird college fraternity called tytalus and now he is not answering his phone... should i be worried?
>>96450728cute
>>96451372>>96451404The guns work well enough for Pentex's goals but the tainted firearms would inevitably bite them in the ass. The malfunction prone guns and ammo would inevitably be handed out to First Teams and any other armed personnel. Fighting were beasts is bad enough but never knowing if you sidearm is gonna misfire or just explode on you would be another hell all together.
Reminder that if you're playing WoD and you're not allowed to pull off something like this in a chronicle, your ST is doing it wrong.

>>96451644Actually yes I suppose so. Just imagine that all crazy spiritual stuff happening, the apocalypse, and the turn of the millennium in WOD has caused humans to evolve psychic abilities. Or Gaia gifted them, whatever you want. In the end though Psy-Wolves would act as major support for the Garou in the never ending arms race they find themselves in. Besides a 9 foot tall killing machine with telekinesis would a threat like no other, and one with telepathy would be unmatched in information gathering.

Ok, I think I did enough that it is presentable now. The Dagon the Descent document has been updated, more powers, more info about life underwater, details on how exactly Deep Ones differ from Mortals. Still no details on how to join Dagon, mechanically speaking, as the Author wants to be the one to write it, as such, Deep One Gameplay/Daily Life of the Gillman is still incomplete. Lineage based Merits exist, but have not yet been written down, still need to think on them a bit. As always, please excuse the lack of crunch regarding the Sorcerous Deep Magick Powers, as I, the co-author, am a complete no-games regarding WoD and do not trust myself to finish these powers without solid testing or feedback from people who actually managed to have a session. If anyone is interested, please your feedback and criticism is always welcomed. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a2bPJfP-vnqZ0Jevb1qaHLaQZbE5IejaoyyrWXbfaQM/edit?usp=drivesdk

Selkies are just an example, in Dagon, most benign aquatic mythological creatures are considered Free-Fin, which are Gillmen that have repurposed the Hatching, severing their connection to Dagon and their original Lineage. There are no Selkies, some Free-Fin just choose to wear seal skins as their ritual, which becomes their Free-Fin Mutation. Its a Chicken-and-Egg situation.

>>96454430I had a lynx companion as a Tremere once.Nothing sensual, just squatted in the attic, mooched off my food, competed with gargoyles and other elementals at murdering spies and pigeons.
>>96454476Not just that, a Bastet might just consider the mage her property.
>>96454168Yes, it's just downplayed and more of a thing that can happen rather than a thing everyone is always dealing with.
Which Sidhe House would you say is the "lovable alpha bitch" House? Like, arrogant and smug, but in a good way, and not to the point of being utterly insufferable?>>96447332>My Kinfolk kinda has a Sidhe GF with Appearence 7 and tell you what: It's (unfortunatly) not that good if you put pros and cons in a scale. We want the details
>>96453987>all the cool tricks are for ass-mites onlyI'm so sick of the ethnic clans it's unreal.
>>96455418Anyone can learn the combination discipline though so long as they have auspex and celerity. So Toreadors can do it too.
>>96455514Toreadors only ever use Celerity to twerk. They're useless.
>>96455418These aren't clan merits. You only need required Celerity and Auspex for combo disciplines, and you can create your own variations.
>>96449706Moving is an action and to move and take another action you must split the dice pool
>>96449706Just use V20s movement, W20 didn't bother that much beyond handwaving it.
>>96454999Fiona are basically CtD-Toreador
Silly thought but lets try to exclude mage for a moment. How would you make Radahn from Elden Ring?
>>96455802>undead sex slave of some incestuous fagGiovanni ghoul?
>>96455802A Seelie Troll knight with access to a homebrewed gravity-based Art for his Cantrips.
>>96455802Tremere focused on Rego Motus / Movement of the Mind, dipping into Rego Elementum / Elemental Mastery for Elemental Strength.
Nosferatu that cultivates a truly disgusting smell to hide that he's always slathered in fire-retardant gel as a precaution.
Somebody make a new thread before I do with pic rel.
>>96455776I kinda see it, but the Fiona don't quite capture that "popular mean girl/queen bee" energy enough in my eyes. Outside of them, the closest I can think of would be the Ailil
>>96455969It's a sliding scale, the Fiona is more Alpha while the Ailil is more Bitch
>>96455802>>96455874I second Seelie Troll. Dragon's Ire and Wayfare can basically emulate everything he does. Though if you actually want to face Gods or Incarnas or whatever, a Changelings can only channel their True Fae in Deep Dreaming these days.
>>96455948Out of all the ways they could better resist fire or use a skunk smell, why this option?
>>96456103I portray the Dragon's Ire as the character going SSJ and the music ishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcY2_ST1mZ8
