>>96585769That's why my one group has both of these banned. So that we have the chance to see turn 4 or 5.
>>96585775If turn 1 sol ring leads to consistent turn 4 wins then the issue is you guys are playing decks that are too powerful even without sol ring.

>>96585779They're fairly powerful, yes. That's why we put deck rectrictions in place. Fast mana cards just contributed a lot to the speed of the game. Otherwise a few card draw cards, field of the dead and extra turns are banned.

>>96585655Even won with it once, but it's so slow... I play it in my graveyard lands deck because if I animate my lands and they die I can still Splendid Reclamation and it might be even better if that happens

Angel of Indemnity was able to recur Aura of Silence which is a big piece for me against a particular opponent. So Im still a Mirkwood Bats Andy but hey victory demands no explanation
>>96585792You really don't get what he meant by that? He means people would rather spend the extra ten dollars to just get the card alone rather than pay the twenty and get stuck with the garbage cards that also come in the Welcome Decks.
I have a question, does "dealing damage" includes only to a player, or just blocking a 1/1 and killing it is enough to make her lose hexproof?

How much effort is it for you to play EDH? For me it's Option A: Meet with regular playgroup once a week an hour from me. Sometimes it gets cancelled because the guy who hosts has other things to do.Option B: Go to commander night of the local bar. People there are either fat neckbeards or pink-haired women.Option C: Try to organize with other people over whatsapp to play. Fails half of the time because someone suddenly has to watch their kids or someone who had agreed earlier no longer responds
>>96586520pretty easy for me to get as many games in as I want in week since I'm a jobless student with no real responsibilityI guarantee get at least 1 dedicated commander day every friday with my girlfriend and her coworker and her coworkers boyfriend but I live next 2 game stores that are both 1 mile away from house that the loser autists swap back and forth from cause one game store is open on the days the other is closed and vice versa so if I desperately wanted to play EDH on a Tuesday at noon I could play with those mongrels and then to top it off the college I go to has a MTG club that has 20 students show up regularly every Thursday in the college library that usually play from 2-10pm so yeah it's really easy
>>96585655>TQHe really kinda sucks but I like rats but not Marrow Gnawer or Ashcoat
>>96586520Pretty easy. My preferred LGS has dedicated EDH nights Wednesday and Friday, and there usually neckbeards there open to close playing most weekdays. I do shift work, so there are weeks where I work both of those nights, but I will usually have at least one of them off per week. If I am working both, the neckbeards are generally pretty chill and accepting of me so I can get pick up games with them in any bracket from 2-4.Having said that, I only really like to play one night a week, as I have other interests and I like the feeling throughout the working week of looking forward to going to MtG which tends to go away if I am no-life'ing the LGS outside of work.

I recommend Bracket 2 for playing for fun with people you know. Having no GCs keeps the game a lot healthier, and makes it possible for people to test out an unaltered precon or EDHrec deck and still be able to keep up.

>>96588191>>96588223The "Exile that token at end of combat" ability from Geist of Saint Traft won't exile the token if the token is phased out at the time it would exile that token (C.R. 101.3, 702.26b). Once the ability triggers, it won't trigger again, even in future end of combat steps (C.R. 603.7b).

Returning to MTG after a 5 year hiatus, picked up this guy's deck. It's a really fun deck to play but definitely needs some juice. >turn 6 >have guildpact, moonlit on arcane, play infinite guildline>make 10 signets>gets out of control, draw 20 cards next turn on attack https://moxfield.com/decks/ZsmwWi_5REOaCUL6FlvvkAThis deck cant be overpowered? Its a fucking meme deck, but I’m getting. Shamed against Conrad and green goblin
>>96589249>I see that actually you gave your opinion without AI first>I can see that the AI agrees you were right>I can't explain how AI was wrong>I can't explain why it was wrong to consult AI>but I CAN act smug about itGot it.
>>96585705Why is Bolas gay?
>>96585705Why is this even possible
>>96589265>Gets called out for being an autist, proves that he is indeed a cheeked up on the spectrum.
>>96589303Make up whatever delusions you want you performative faggot, anything to avoid admitting you were wrong
>>96588566>N-NO! YOU'RE PLAYING THE GAME WRONG!!!Uh oh melty!Don't yuck someone's yum, mmkay?
>>96588931Cunts playing with strangers may lie that brazenly, but usually what happens within more established pods is that there will be one retard that goes out of his way to bend the bracket rules in order to play certain "not a GC guyss" cards or almost-infinite combos and say it's fine because WOTC didn't specifically mention them even though the rules are clear about intent superceding everything else.
>>96589199>If you get your legendary sac chain off, it will be the best thing manifest has ever done but it's a big IFYa I guess the chain isWarren Soul Trader + Guardian of the Forgotten + Clamp/Counter-GiverThat way you sac, get a treasure + a 2/2 manifest, equip the clamp, sac, repeat and you just go. Then you'd need Elas-Il-Kor or something to take advantage so it is teetering on being a rube-goldberg machine. It doesnt have to be though, there are ways to get the value without assembling exodia
>>96589325>Don't yuck someone's yumMakes my skin crawl every time
which Guay wood elves to buy? I'm a modern frame enjoyer but the og wood elves art is superior
The more I play EDH with randoms the more convinced I become that a lot of people who play EDH don't actually enjoy Magic at all and would be happier playing a boardgame or sonething instead
>>96589400well I think modern frame SUCKS and retro frame ROCKS
>>96589417edh in general is only worth playing with friends
>>96588847Its shit.
>>96589251Have my super secret tech for him
>>96589417You have it right on the moneyA psychological profile WotC didn't originally codify, but I'm sure they're aware of now is "Guy who doesn't really want to be there but all his closest friends play magic". I call these players: "Sarah".
>>96589251Probably too expensive, but I like this thing.
Why are planeswalkers illegal as commanders?
>>96589528Because they just are, okay?!!?!
>>96589251>>96589504You can use my favorite robot man in conjunction with basically anything to get a ton of tokens. And yes he makes nine tokens if you tap with transmutation font.
>>96589538And fuck I forgot the pic.
>>96589417>The more I play EDH with randoms the more convinced I become that a lot of people who play EDH don't actually enjoy Magic at all and would be happier playing a boardgame or sonething insteadI feel like Im lucky. There are some bozos at my LGS but mostly they cant into threat assessment. Or they dont understand card advantage etc.But most of the people I play with are1) Not trannies2) Play at least mostly seriously and without drama/politics even if they are prone to making bad misplays3) Seem to enjoy the game even if that is because of flavor, social aspect, w/eIm inclined to think all the anons here bitching about people at the LGS are actually the problem
>>96589538>And yes he makes nine tokens if you tap with transmutation font.no he doesn't, transmutation font makes ONE token. Roboman would make three tokens as normal.and he does nothing if you make a blood token
>>96586365Update here: Went to an LGS with the cards seeing if anyone wanted to trade for them the store was gonna offer me 65% store credit until a guy with a venom tattoo overheard what I had and traded me his Revised TAIGA from his cEDH deck for both of them The shop owner was kind enough to inspect the taiga to see if it was real it passed the green dot test and light test so yeah that's how my days going first ever true dual I've ever owned going in my gruul deck
>>96589651zamn
>>96589651Genuinely a terrible trade on his part what a retard. Good for you
>>96589651>trading highly playable RL cards for nu-slop day if releaseHoly crap you found the perfect idiot, GJ anon. Only thing I'd trade my RL stuff for is more RL stuff.
>>96588969Can I interest you in our lord savior Zurgo Stormrender?
>>96589747Seems based, ill chuck him in
>>96589787They go pretty well together as it turns out. Most Caesar decks are gonna be happy to have him, and most zurgo decks are happy to have Caesar
>need ~80 commons and uncommons across 3 decks, all from the last 5 years>gone through dozens of shops all with 20k+ cards in stock, they have near zero of themIs TCGplayer just fucking dead, then?? It's blowing my mind how I can't find a single shop with more than 5 cards that I need. And I'm not gonna use their broken "mass entry" tool because I refuse to pay $50 in shipping
>>96589787Caesar pairs well with the neck beard warrior Isshin Two heavens I would honestly buy the FF art of Isshin cause his original art looks like he's protecting his waifus honor
>>96589804For mass commons /uncommons I go to card kingdom. Like .10 more per card but easier shipping
>>96589747Based Zurgo enjoyer>>96588969Heres my Zurgo list if you want ideasThis list is pushed as fuck and obviously pretty stompy. But its also fairly optimized (minus busted mana rocks and tutors).
