https://moxfield.com/decks/agO2Q0AdjEy9q9PK-S5qTwIm trying to create an izzet commander damage deck. I like melek for copying pump spells but he's pretty weak and needs mana/library manipulation to pop off. I think veyran might be more reliable, how many spells copying effects would I need? I'm thinking cards like assault strobe, twinferno, balduvian rage, and harmonic prodigy are the type of things that can get me there. Right now it's kind of a ping you/make tokens strategy just for me to learn the color combo better.https://moxfield.com/decks/agO2Q0AdjEy9q9PK-S5qTw
Anons, I've been upgrading my Saruman deck and I need 3 extra cards to finish my 99. Do you guys have any suggestions? I thought about Bolas Citadel but I think I am going to keep it bracket 2The deck: https://moxfield.com/decks/6HMjofV1tUGgCxbjQM63vw

>>96571473I have an Atraxa Infect deck because I wanted to play infect, and genuinely I don't think it's too powerful at all. You end up painting the biggest target on your back and fall off hard in the mid-game because you have to fill your deck up with shit like 3 mana 2/2 flyers which is the kind of thing that can't compete with typical midrange EDH value decks. Very often I've taken someone out early but converting that to a win is very hard. Also fully going in on a late game Ichor rats proliferate plan doesn't work either because spending resources to proliferate constantly doesn't do anything for your board state or tempo and leaves you vulnerable to getting killed which people want to do anyway. its hard out here for us aggro chads.TL;DR Infect seems a lot scarier than it actually is, and if you went by winrates im sure the average infect deck wouldnt be out of place at your typical mid power table.

>>96576009Yep, I have a Skrelv monowhite infect with all the cheap double strike creatures, and a personal rule that I can only win by proliferating every remaining player from 9 to 10 poison counters at the same time. Same problem: it's great against lower power decks but man does it fall behind fast
>>96576009People are afraid of Atraxa because content creators tell them to be. In reality it's one of the fairest, durdliest commanders in existence. And if you have spot removal before end step she's a literal 4 mana do-nothing.
So I posted this deck yesterday and I was pretty pleased with it but the more I look at it, the more I know it needs a change. The original gimmick was that it was a spiritual successor to a duels of the planeswalker deck and it still does that portion quite well, rely on basic lands, green ramp and multicolored creatures to win. At some point before brackets, I added non-basic land hate and that became the aspect I enjoyed the most. I still think the idea of a budget 5c land base playing ruination is funny. That being said, I can't help but feel like this deck has outgrown it's usefulness but I am having a hard time figuring out what to do about that. I'd love to keep playing a deck that plays a bunch of charms but I think the wincon package needs to change. Even back in 2016 when I put the deck together, rite of repping a broodmate dragon was cute but not a good wincon and its only gotten worse from there. Any suggestions? Maybe I revert to an older more charm based build and lean into domain more? https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/16-07-24-mana-mastery/

What does holding priority mean
>>96578179it means, with your own spell on top of the stack, you don't pass priority to the next player so you can put another action on the stacke.g. my flow of knowledge is going to resolve, so I hold priority and cast see double to copy the flow of knowledge
>>96578179responding to your own spell as its cast
>>96578179means you can't ask people if they have any counterspells and once they say no you would copy your shit
>>96578195What how does that work? They can steal priority from you by responding tho right?

>TQ: What is your favourite chaos-creating effect?Just putting the monarch into play. It's insane how people will wheel and deal over one card per turn
>>96578096It's fine. It was a key part of my funny 3-card combo of The Gitrog Monster + Borborygmos Enraged + Abundance to keep chucking lands at people.
>>96578250You get the first chance to respond after you put something on the stack, this is "priority". "Holding priority" means taking that chance. "Passing priority" means doing nothing with that chance and asking for responses before resolving the spell. If they respond, you get another chance to act after that. And the other player(s) can of course respond to the other spell(s) you cast when you hold priority. It's part of the risk; you hold priority to copy your flow of knowledge, but if your flow of knowledge is countered after you put see double on the stack then the see double will fizzle out.
>>96574860Haste has been evergreen since Equipment became a thing thi
>>96578250Priority always begins with the player who started the stack, and is never stolen, only passed around in order. Because priority is never stolen, players can respond to their own spells without allowing for reactions until they are done responding to their own spells. Once they're done responding to things, other players can respond.
>there are 19 artifact subtypes
>>96578278So you can avoid counterspells by holding priority and casting something you care less about? That's kinda retarded.
>>96578286no, the other players can respond after you put whatever things you put on the stack just as they can when responding to a spell cast aloneholding priority just means that you are the one who has first dibs on responding to your own spell- the other players don't lose their chance to respond, they just go after you.
>>96578286>So you can avoid counterspellsNothing in the game avoids counterspells unless it explicitly says "cannot be countered" or you have something out that says "they can't cast spells on your turn"

>>96576045People aren't really afraid of Atraxa more that they're just tired of seeing her. For a few years you couldn't play a game without someone putting down their Totally Original Atraxa Build onto the table.
>>96576045im afraid of atraxa because its always superfriends decks that need 20 minutes to take 1 turn that accomplishes nothing
Has anyone built Eshki? Is she any fun? The fact that she cares about creature power on cast had me looking up some dumber than average cards for her but it looked like it could devolve into a Goodstuff pile easily.
What's that site that lets you pick any mtg card art and get a playmat of it? I thought it was ultra pro but I don't see it
>>96579553you've only got three sources of extra land plays and one play lands from gy, though you have a bunch of one-shot splendid reclamation effects.does kavaron do much for you?I was going to say dryad arbor for GSZ but it was in the lands column instead of creatures.is your wincon to get hearthhull online and sac everything?you are running incredibly low to the ground here, you could honestly even cut sol ring. related, how much is valakut exploration usually hitting people for?
Whenever anyone in my playgroup plays a gamechanger inevitably someone will say "game changer alert".
>>96578096I like it. Helps fix a turn's draw often enough which can really make a difference. And that it lets you swap out for every draw does make a difference depending on what your opponents have on board.
>>96579185Depends completely on the commander. Which did you want to use?
>>96579624I'm so thankful my friends don't play expensive bullshit cards. One time someone showed up with a proxy Smothering Tithe and we all talked so much shit at him about it to where he took it out and we've never seen it again

Ideally, strapped to a creature. Ramunap Excavator seems like the best choice as it tutors off everything in the deck>Kavaron Probably the weakest utility land in the deck. >>96579668Obviously there's crucible, but nothing you're running searches it. Ramunap works with GSZ and imperial recruiter, yeah. Technically so does perennial behemoth, but he's 5 mana, the unearth is a little compelling though. >>96579567Oh boy yes, she is TONS of fun.My Russian steppe wife made me win 4 out of 7 games against my friends playing nasty-ass shit like Tifa, Yuriko, Giada and Jetmir earlier tonight. I've spent about 60~ish freedom coins upgrading the precon while trying to keep it in-theme to dragons as much as possible. The idea is to cast 6+ power shit as often as you can to burn your opponents repeatedly and whenever possible grant her a large amount of +1/+1s and trample so she can burn for a ton then finish the job via combat damage. You need to be aggresive in your plays and ALWAYS have a way to ramp in your opening hand, mulligan to 5 cards if you must.Boardwipes of choice are damage-based so she and the dragons can survive them more often than not and dragons snowball insanely quickly if left unchecked so even if she gets targeted repeatedly that just means your opponents get ran over by a dozen flying, double striking, trampling creatures. Here's my decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/16129840/bad_dragon_baddieThere's a couple extra cards in there because I keep flip-flopping about what to cut. Also the enchantments are your best friends if you can pop them in early and they survive even a couple of turns, and I've talked about picrel before but it's won me more games than I can remember and it's always hilarious to watch your opponents deliberate on how they want to die.

>>96579567I pulled her in the sample pack thing with one of the other decks and built her as a pile of craws and dreadmaws using random draft chaff I had laying around. I don't have a single dragon in the deck, which tends to catch people off guard since she was in a dragon tribal precon. She's a lot of fun, feels like she has a lot of voltron style qualities while also wanting to go wide. Very fragile lynchpin though, so you're going to want to pack a lot of protection so she doesn't die as soon as she's about to do something. She very quickly becomes a removal magnet, but starts off pretty non-threatening looking, so people tend to remove her once you've already invested some time into building her up but before she's able to start blasting everyone for a lot of damage.

So I pulled an Anti-Venom at a prerelease yesterday and apparently this is one of the most popular commanders of this set but I'm not sure I understand why. It seems to me like the deck can only do one thing, equip your commander with a pariah effect and give it some form of protection, either waiting around to be able to do all that in a single turn under a silence effect or praying that you somehow survive a rotation without any interaction thrown your way.Am I missing something or is it actually bad? You still have to churn out slop or it's back to your day jobHe even complained about that, I think in a Tarkir unboxing. He was bitching that if he doesn't run ads for sponsors he can't afford to run the channel
>>96582150>You still have to churn out slop or it's back to your day jobThat's the thing with """""influencers""""", turning out slop nonstop day after day is a requirement of the job. You NEED to be pushing trash after trash after trash because it's all about the "engagement"
>>96582150he's a millionare?
>>96579299You're just not paying attention to your pips and color leans while building multicolor. If you can't make a functional three color without fetches and duals you need to start thinking more during the build about when you're casting things and if you have enough time to get all those pips by then. You can run three color all-basics decks if you just have the right proportions of them and mulligan correctly.
>>96582170Almost certainly. Youtube pays like you wouldn't believe. Here's the estimates on socialblade, bear in mind he's likely at the higher end of the earnings because he's been around so long. And then factor in the fact that sponsor segments are about 10k a pop (Mr Beast discussed this, it's how he was able to do 10k prizes in the early days, although now he gets 100k sponsors). He may not have $1M in liquidity, especially if he spends like a retard, which it sounds like he does. But yeah, living within his means for say 5 years, he could save to $1-2M very comfortably.
>>96581070Knock his teeth out if he just grab my shit without asking permission
>>96582183>If you can't make a functional three color without fetches and dualsYou don't even need fetches, anymore. Wizards has printed so many cheap duals that budget 3c manabases are very easily done. Filter/check lands are all you really need, nowadays, and if you're in black like Nekusar, the Tainted lands are very good

>>96581794I don't get it
>>96582212That guy was born in the year 1988. So he put 88 in his username. A reddit mod saw that and thought it symbolizes "Heil Hitler" as H is the 8th letter of the alphabet and right wingers use 88 as a code sometimes.
>>96582212Dipshit mods think the 1988 birth year in his username is a Hitler/nazi reference. 14 and/or 88 are very common nazi/white supremacy dog whistles
>>96582201The channel is not just one guy, there's a whole staff to run it
At my LGS there's a 14th Doctor in the display case and its price tag is $88.
>>96582248I know he "employs" 1 troon but I don't know how many other "staff" he has.In any case, it's absolutely a channel he could be running by himself. I don't know why these people get such disproportionate ideas in their heads about what it is they do.The Quartering and Pirate Software are two other people who will bring up the fact that they "employ" people whenever the money starts getting short. Its a poor financial decision. It's completely retarded. You are not a business, you are some asshole talking to a camera and you do not need staff to help you sit on your ass at home.
What's the most chuddy dogwhistle deck one could build?
>>96582227What the hell is a “dog whistle”
>>96582298Pretty funny, but probably a real price
>>96582201There's no way MrBeast only gets 100k for a sponsorship, Asmongold gets more for a single sponsored stream and he is magnitudes smaller than Beast
>>96582304Dog whistles are special whistles on a frequency that humans can't hear, but dogs can. They're used for training and stuff. "Dog whistle" as the term means "a phrase or reference that only those 'in the know' will understand". 1488 is a very real nazi reference, so nazis/white supremacists will pepper in the numbers 14/fourteen and/or 88/eighty eight in their stuff as a "teehee I'm being secretive!!!" note/sign to other nazis
>>96582304Leftoid term for when they're jumping at shadows.Dogwhistles are only audible to dogs, so the idea is that the right includes terms and codes to signal to other rightwingers. Here "88" is being mistaken for "1488" which refers to the 14 words, and 88 being the 8th letter of the alphabet for "Heil Hitler"Of course anything can be a "dogwhistle" to these people, including just not using lefty-approved terminology
>>96582304It's something people make up so they can latch on something to be offended about and then use that as an excuse to not converse with you. It's basically acting like a little bitch.

Question, if I exile the top of my library and it was a land and there's an effect saying "you can play the exiled card this turn" but I already played a land from my hand this turn, can I still put it on the field?
>>96582473no
>>96582455Dan Slott's barely-disguised fetish is, surprisingly, still a fun character beyond that, but it's basically an eternal shadow hanging over her character.
>>96582467It's just an insta-win with any landfall = draw card. In a vacuum it's bad, but you can't price it lower on principle.
>>96582416btw the rules text you should give ur custom creature is:>you can play any number of lands from hand>exile a land you control: draw a card>you may not have more than 50 lands in your starting deckAnd make it cost 6 mana
>>96582477Why not? Can you point me to the exact ruling?
>>96582495Playing cards from exile is the same way as playing them from anywhere else. The effect only gives you permission to play it from exile. All other restrictions still apply (lands per turn, timing rules, etc.)
>>96582473no>>96582495>why notbecause the one land played per turn thing doesn't apply only to lands played from hand but also lands played from other zones.Otherwise crucible of worlds would read "play all your lands on turn 3 as long as you have a fetch land in the graveyard"
>>96582390Now that I think about it, maybe that's why Wizards doesn't print more tribal hate. It's a shame though. I've ranted many times before about how I wish they'd print an equivalent to pic related that lets me turn all my opponents creatures into something else so cards like Witch's Vengeance are actually playable.>>96582422Eh there's already so many token doublers, it's not really generating you much advantage. Especially in those colors and with that tribe. There aren't many citizen synergies, and you're not playing aristocrats in selesnya. All it's really doing is putting bodies on the board that you could pump up, but you're in green, you could be making 3/3s and 4/4s with trample if you want tokens.

>>96582485There's two cards that do that and they're both 5+ mana.

>>96582586Game lock + determinate ability to not draw out before opponents do.
>>96582586An unusual way of getting there is more relevant.Ultimately every deck wins by making opponents lose (via loss of life, drawing from an empty deck, "loses the game" effects including poison counters) or by a card that just says "you win the game"

I had my first game of MTG yesterday. I told my buddy to play his most powerful deck (Slivers) just to see how far the power difference is and I actually won by picrel.I had just 2hp left.
>>96582689Happy for you, but his deck either bricked or isn't nearly as powerful as he thinks it is.Your wincon is extremely telegraphed and some basic removal would have stopped it dead
>>96582701there's not THAT much enchantment removal in most decks, plus he's in blue so he can protect it quite easily
>>96582712>there's not THAT much enchantment removal in most decksSlivers is a 5 color deck or nothing. Disenchant, Generous Gift, Stroke of Midnight, Grasp of Fate, Unexpectedly Absent, Feed the Swarm, Withering Torment, Nature's Claim, Krosan Grip, literally any blue bounce spell.Hell, an overloaded Vandalblast would have bought a bunch of turns.A high power Sliver deck should not be losing to Mechanized Production, there really isn't anything more to say on that

>>96582764>you're not running 10 enchantment removal spellsI specifically listed cards that hit more than enchantments, that was the entire point. 4 of them were "nonland permanent" and all the rest hit either artifacts/enchantments or creatures/enchantments

Spider-man fucking sucks AND Fleem is lame and gay.
>>96582586play hard locks and force everyone to deck out
>>96582814If Fleem gets WotC to print Omen Paths in paper, it's more than worth it
>>96582814Even my LGS owner was talking about how it seems Spiderman is flopping and how it looks like a lot of shops will be left with a lot of unsold inventory.
>>96582764Because Mechanized Production is an aura, hitting the artifact it's enchanting is just as good as hitting the enchantment, by the way
>>96582832Do stores ever put unsold inventory on sale to move it, or does WPTC forbid that?
>>96582832Good, I hope so. Every retard who gambles needs to suffer heavy losses so they learn not to be so fucking stupid.Investorfags, LGS, everyone who looked at Final Fantasy and thought "oh boy if I dump money into UB I'll be rich!!!!!"
>>96582848Yeah stores can do whatever they want. LGSes sometimes put stale product on sale below MSRP if they need to clear inventory. I occasionally see less desirable recent precons at $30. Pic related is actually a really strong deck with good reprints, but people just don't really like it for various reasons.
>>96582848>Do stores ever put unsold inventory on sale to move itEventually but not for a long time, and by then most of the good shit is gone. And even then, not much of a discount.I remember Murder at Karlov Manor went down by something like a buck fifty or two bucks 6 months after it released or something.
>>96582824Best you'll get is a single mythic in a mystery booster.
>>96582701My commander is picrel. I already had seven clues when I played Mechanized Production. So he only had one turn to stop me, and he already used two artifact removals and one enchantment removal earlier. I think I got super lucky. He stopped attacking me after like turn five because he saw it would just generate lots of stuff.
Is Halo worse than Fentanyl?
>>96582893Nah. WotC did not anticipate Omen Paths being so popular. Once they're clear of their contractual obligations to Disney, paper print is on the table
>>96582898
>>96582911Fentanyl can make you an immortalized national hero so yeah.
>>96582924Has any minor character in Magic ever been killed by a projectile?
>>96582921Yeah he has that one, but didn't draw it. He was waiting for this or one with flying, or more lands to get out overlord (which he drew from the start) but I was quick enough for him to never have all five colors of Mana. One more turn and I would have been dead for sure. I think I won on turn nine. We both struggled with Mana until turn three when I finally got my draw card whenever stuff dies going. By combining picrel with reassembling skeleton.
>>96582921>Overlord as commander>you can freely tutor stuff like shifting, hivelord, crystalline, etcI am convinced that guy's sliver deck was total ass.
>>96582948>to get out overlord (which he drew from the start)Your friend is a retard. Overlord should ALWAYS be your commander, since he can get any other sliver out to answer the issue at hand.
>>96582948>>96582951>>96582957Yeah what they said. Your friend's sliver deck basically isn't nearly as powerful as he thinks it is.
>>96582951>>96582957>>96582961Kay. Guess I'll let him know. He used SLiver Queen as a commander. But I don't think it would have mattered in this case, right? He never had the mana for either anyways.
>>96582973Queen is a $300 paperweight most of the time. Thrumming Hivepool does her job infinitely better, and you'd only need her to make suicide Slivers if you didn't have Slivers that bypass blocking (e.g. flying, trample, flanking, etc). Queen is only expensive because no reprints.
>>96582973If he's struggling for mana, it's not a high power deck, just how it goes. Powerful decks are consistent. How much did he spend/proxy on his lands?
>>96582948>turn 9>doesnt have access to all 5 colorsWhew>gay proxyOh its just a larp post so he can post his boring bloodborne customs
>>96582997>>96582987He doesn't proxy. It was a legit (and appearently expensive, as I am finding out) card. It was in Portuguese however, since he's from Brazil. He showed me translations of cards as we went along. I think that's fair if he allows me to play a "gay" proxy. I have no clue what constututes for sufficient mana in such a deck but I think he had plenty. We just both kinda flunked and I had better options of getting out of it through drawing cards.
>>96583037If you're playing a WUBRG deck, a full set of triomes, fetches, shock lands, bond lands (for 4 player pods), etc are expected some you can manage your mana accordingly.
Any commanders that just underperform/can't make work no matter how hard you try? For me it's this bitch.>deal-making/politics is a total meme relying on your opponents to do something/not do something is a complete coinflip and they WILL do anything they can to screw you over/take bigger advantage of the situation>giving your opponents a fuckton of free mana is always a potentially (most of the time) game-losing play. >Does literally nothing if people just horde their treasures>if you try to play cards that punish opponents for hording treasures they just tap sac in response and you get literally nothing cause they specifically have to spend treasure mana on spells for Variz to do anything>if they DO actually use their treasures they'll either end the game or get so far ahead you may as well lost, or they spend as many treasures as possible on one spell so all you get is 1(one) card draw>if Variz dies congratulations your opponents have a fuckton of extra mana they can use freely without punishment >playing stax/MLD to force treasure use makes you a huge asshole
>>96583170This dame is for getting people who crap out on their mana draw back into the game, artifact ETB triggers, and also X cost spells. She's not really a politics commander despite her looks.
>>96583170Yes, Vazi is a bad card, any further questions?
>>96583170>>deal-making/politics is a total meme relying on your opponents to do something/not do something is a complete coinflip and they WILL do anything they can to screw you over/take bigger advantage of the situationI mean, you nailed it first line here.Politics is a massively over-hyped aspect of the game and only exists at tables with players who don't know what they're doing. Any other table, there is no bargain people can make that justifies not making the optimal play for the situation. In a situation where it's arbitrary then the play is just to victimize whoever is least likely to be able to retaliate. As for the card, if it made it so lands had>This land does not untap during your untap step>(1) : Untap this landIt would be significantly better at doing what it wants to do.As it is, it's just gonna get people to their wincons faster and the +1/+1s won't matter
>>96583170Politicking and aikido and group hug decks are the biggest reddit memes and always backfire on the user unless you're playing with literal retards.
>>96583302heliod the radiant dawn is good tho
>>96582832Good. I didn't go but prerelease at my LGS had only 6 people according to the store discord, usually it gets atleast 20-30 at prerelease and FF had 50. Fuck all the idiots in this thread who claimed Spooderman was a more popular IP than FF. This set needs to flop harder than march of the machines so WotC pivots and stops giving us more lame capeshit UBs. Disney and the MCU killed all interest in the Marvel capeslop IP. The comics don't sell, no one sees the movies, stop giving us capeslop no one wants besides boomer MaRo and his reddit buddies.
>>96583170People were so extremely desperate for a non-combat Boros commander they gaslit themselves (me included) into thinking Nelly Borcha is a good commander. She isn't by the way. She's obviously meant to pilot a goad deck (which is already an underpowered archetype that collects second place at best) but does it in the worst possible way. Why in the actual FUCK does this card let your opponents draw a card also? At best she's card neutral but it's actually worse than card neutral cause chances are the player with the biggest creatures you want to suspect/goad are already the furthest ahead and you're giving them more stuff. THEY ARE GOADED NO POLITICS REQUIRED THEY ALREADY CAN'T TOUCH YOU WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY BEING COMPENSATED WITH CARD DRAW?????Also she's 4 mana for some reason with an attack trigger on a mediocre body that will die attacking into most players midgame.
>>96583350>Impulsive AccuserLol she's literally a woke Karen
>>96583276>Politics is a massively over-hyped aspect of the gamePolitics are good to at least help convince players not to do something utterly retarded or steer them in the direction of the actual arch enemy. It's concerning how often players don't touch the Izzet storm player with several cost reducers in play cause "they didn't do anything yet" or tell people we should probably murder the guy who just tutored for Craterhoof last turn.
>>96583350>non-combat Boros commanderIgnore the "can't block" thing on this one, just play activated abilities. I would suggest Soulbright Flamekin>{1}{R}>{2}: Target creature gains trample until end of turn. If this is the third time this ability has resolved this turn, you may add {R}{R}{R}{R}{R}{R}{R}{R}.You can make 8 red mana literally for free, cast whatever the fuck you want

>>96578096If you run a low enough land count, then you can use it to stack your entire library in whatever order you want by spending a draw and failing to find a land. I use it in pic related since a little power boosting and a Traverse the Outlands empties them all out. Grothama wants as many manadorks as possible for the vigor synergy or just card draw in general, so I only run about 28 total.

>>96584089I mean, what are you looking for in particular?Deckbuilding is mostly about deciding how many cards you want to assign to your deck's themes, and ensuring you have enough interaction, ramp and draw to play those themes. How many interaction pieces do you want to run? How much ramp, how much draw? How many pieces of these kinds can you get that synergise with your commander, and does this synergy result in a better rate than staples in those categories? If the answers to these questions don't match the cards in your deck, those are the first changes you should make.To me it looks like you have a lot of cards tied up in death-trigger related effects, but your commander works off activated abilities. I'd cut some of the former and add more of the latter.

>>96584037Only 29 lands is crazy. You have only 9 activated artifact abilities, and like 4 of them specify themselves for sacrifice. You also only have like 4 activated abilities on creatures. For an izzet deck to win, do they need to rely on combos or storm? I like izzey because it's fun but I'm getting stomped every game I play because I don't know my angle. I like to copy spells but at the same time I like value/synergy cards that produce tokens or prowess so I can attack and have a board prescence. But drawing cards, burning, bouncing, and countering doesn't get me very far in my game. My decks feel too honest and orthodox while my opponents have creatures too big to burn or block. I know Niv Mizzet is a popular commander and I have him in my deck, but I'd prefer to try out a more unique commander before I concede and run him in the command zone. It would be nice to have a combat damage/copied pump spell angle or a go-wide strategy with lots of creatures that have ping effects and token production. https://moxfield.com/decks/agO2Q0AdjEy9q9PK-S5qTw I know the deck is bad but I'm trying to find my footing and I've recently gauged the power level of my pod as much higher than mine.

>>96584676>For an izzet deck to win, do they need to rely on combos or storm? If you want to draw, bounce and counter then yes combo and storm are your go-to wincons. But there's other stuff, like making a bajillion tokens with cards like brudiclad, metallurgic summonings and shark typhoon. And you can make decent artifact decks. Also burn as creature removal mostly sucksblue has good enough removal options (resculpt, pongify, etc) that you don't usually need to go around using burn spells on creatures.

>>96584916It's awkward because reanimating encourages a go tall playstyle, but mass pump is go wide... and it doesn't do either very efficiently. Do I run as many token producers as I can with cheap cantrips and burn? I think this is a rare opportunity to make Zada hedron grinder work. >Lilahthis one seems fun. For the shell, do I also want token producers like Balmor or creatures that get bigger like Nivix cyclops, electrostatic infantry, or tempest angler?I like your recs but i'm trying to figure out and research the right shell for them. Most lists I've found are budget builds but I already have a couple strong cards like Harmonic prodigy and veyran. My problem is balancing out card draw, removal, counterspells, and burn. I am willing to go a bit above "$12 budget" level.
>>96583350I despise the flavor of this card. Bell Borca was a great character in the original Ravnica novels, and this girl bearing his name as an "Impulsive Accuser" just isn't it. His own card they finally printed also doesn't capture him well imo, it's like they had a design and threw his name on it.The fun part about ghost Borca is that he's haunting Agrus Kos, spirit of an annoying past partner, that he'd rather be a hallucination but sadly he's a real ghost who is really annoying. It plays into Kos's teardrop (painkiller) addiction making Borca a great supporting character. Meanwhile Nelly is just a name legacy for some reason and Borca's card is generic boros spirit man with no personality.
>>96585103>Are you suggesting Keranos as secret commander ?- yes, i believe it will be a good fit for your deck, and works well with Melek as your Com, you can even try switching them around and see how the deck plays.
