The Beam Emitter is the classic example.If I was an advanced alien race, of course I'd do nothing but build enourmous monument buildings on otherwise pristine lands, give each a generic name like 'The Dispensary' and then ensure they somehow last millions of years to fuck with those who come afterwards.The later games start fucking this up: making the forerunner buildings chrome and covered in greebles and shit. CE's simple geometric shapes from weird stone/metal is best: the look is almost mystic, like it could be a wizard who made it instead of aliens.Honestly videogames from before graphics got too good are great for satisfying that in general. Dark Souls 2 is full of massive impressive environments with barely any ornamentation, in the process they become otherworldly looking. Like someone conjured an entire castle into being with a wave of the hand.

Having read through everything and made a full build I would say that your just hyper-focusing on the T3 stuff which is expensive because your meant to have 1-3 of them at most supported by the rest of your tool set. I notice there's some synergy between Honor Guard and the Siegebreaker unit. While you can't make Behemoths part of your Honor Guard (I reason because that near divine magnitude power is too much to keep loyal without a ton of experience you don't have at the start), there's no such restriction with Siegebreakers. If they were well-supported, I don't see any reason it wouldn't be possible to have a mob of Behemoth-tier moving castles. Stacking Horde Mode on top of that verges into something terrifying. I feel like a vanguard of +20 buffed Siegebreakers could fell a holy dragon if they were managed well. Especially if they're one of the races that lends itself to attrition warfare, probably giants or elementals would be best for it, but vault automatons could be dangerous. Which of the generics do you like the most? Beastmen are mine because I've played too much Total War: Warhammer, but Goblinoids are a close second for their cost-efficiency.

If you want to loot their spell lore, (canon) used goods, and weird collections of shit, you'll have your work cut out for you. There's the lingering undead too but they're barely a factor if you aren't a Necromancer or maybe a Dominator. The biggest advantage with the Aberrants is that their magic protects them from battle spells and enchantments, which your enemies are bound to rely on in lieu of the suppressed tech. However, holy magic likely works on them as dangerously as it does normal, considering that the Hierophant has access to summoning them, which against your deadliest enemies makes them functionally like any other race if it were twice the price, bald, and riddled with tentacles.
