Pick up a tub of cyberclean from best buy. It's a little tub of green slime used to pull crumbs out of computer keyboards, and it'll also pull the majority of plastic dust from a sanding stick so they'll last you way longer.

I would get bored half way through, and it wouldn't get done. Then the models just sit there. No-one is going to buy them, I am not going to use them, and I don't even have any plans for them e.g. Using them as part of basing/terrain pieces. To give one example, I went to a local group 'selling' day. We turned up and we sold random tosh we didn't want anymore, from atrocities we sold for nothing, to pristine OOP kits that hadn't been opened. I sold almost all of my tosh, but couldn't shift my painted Ork boyz and grots. They aren't painted that badly to the best of my knowledge, and even when I lowered the price to criminally low levels (£10/15$ for the lot, this includes about 20 Boyz and 10 grots). I couldn't shift them.
