Anyway, I missed this side-story coming out yesterday. https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/magic-story/lorwyn-eclipsed-three-dreams-three-truths>Kellan and Amalia, of all characters, talking back on Thunder Junction after Kellan came back with a gift for her, some flowers which are from a place called Lorwyn (he doesn't know what Lorwyn is)>They flirt/banter for a bit before Kellan brings up that he actually had a dream about him and her in a field of these flowers, and Amalia mentions he has been having a lot of dreams lately, might be worth writing those down>On Lorwyn, three treefolk, an ash one called Morecote, a rowan called Erewaker and an elder called Sigric, are making their way somewhere>They're worried Sigric's getting too old so they're taking him somewhere because apparently this is a trip he can only make once because of some prophecy shit>And then fairies show up to bother them>They make some cryptic/punny remarks about yews and 'you' referring to Morecote, which mostly confuses him until he sends them off with some violent thrashing>Sigric starts to explain something but the faeries interrupt again, abruptly challenging Morecote to a duel against all three of them, if he wins they'll tell him something interesting>Erewaker tries to dissuade him, but his pride takes precedence and the fight begins>Narration makes note that Morecote is known as a very good fighter, and SHOULD have easily bested the fae>And yet they continue to evade and dance around him until he finally catches one, who laughs as he squeezes it to death>In that confusion, the other two faeries have dropped a poison on Sigric, and Morecote angrily demands what they did>They never said they'd play fair, and they're honestly just helping out anyway>They fly away while claiming that yew grows best within a corpse

Final side-story, I believe. https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/magic-story/lorwyn-eclipsed-star-crossed>An elf named Cerys in Shadowmoor is visiting her late uncle's home>She's mostly aghast at how badly it's turned in the time since she was last here, and how it hasn't even been raided, it's just been aged>In particular there's a Reliquary of Twilight, his most prized possession, breaking apart>We learn this uncle, Gethin, was an explorer type, who regularly went to Lorwyn while keeping himself as Shadowmoor via the Reliquary obviously>Cerys is here with his last will and testament, the last thing he wrote, sent to her, bequeathing all he had to her>She looks through some of his journals and all that, reminiscing about his stories, about Lorwyn, where elves had nothing to fear, they WERE feared, unlike in Shadowmoor>Cerys is also apparently particularly susceptible to the aurora, such that whenever she got near it, she'd find her memories muddled without even crossing over>She finds a letter to somebody called Rhain, Gethin in it apologising that he can't find more of some medicine this Rhain needs>Said medicine is there too, and Cerys notes her uncle wouldn't leave a letter unsent, nor did she know he did any sort of healing work>So she quickly writes her own letter to Rhain, explaining Gethin's passing and explaining the delay>She sends the letter out with some magic which seems to just know where to go, and to her surprise it heads to the nearby aurora, through to Lorwyn, which surprises and delights her>Next day, Cerys is woken up by a letter flying into her bed, and it's a curt and quite harsh response from Rhain>She sends a polite one back, saying she thought this Rhain was a friend or acquaintance of her uncle's, but goes "well this is resolved then">And then some hours later, he sends another letter, balking at Gethin dying instead of fulfilling his request and calling him a coward
