Barring the helmet, scrolls and toe bits the titan is effectively finished from the front. I'm going to really take my time with the interior of the head and it's great that GW intended for you to magnetise it so you can take it out and show it off.It is kind of a shame that there's no proper interior to paint like with the other titans but having little dudes you can put on the battlements almost makes up for it
Would you ever resurface a metal mini? I have a test mini that has been stripped and repainted many times, and left in Simple Green for a long time once. It has micropitting, tarnishing, and bits of primer that have somehow become ignore to stripping (probably because of the pitting).I'm thinking sandblasting would work but I don't have one. Polishing compound sounds like a bad idea. I might get away with a little sanding but not the whole thing.

Do you guys ever go back and repaint parts of your models? I'm thinking of pulling out this model and touching up the armour, I think I fucked up the NMM on the breastplate and it looks a bit rubbish. Picrel is a mockup of my plans. Repostan from end of last thread, still wet and shiny. I'll do some touchups on the boots, cable, the klaw, and shadows of the vest tomorrow. By then a lot of the shine should be gone so I can see how the shadows on the vest look. Give him a few days to dry then I can matte varnish him and the other 3 kommandos I did over the past week or so and get them on their bases.

Vallejo model colour black and mh pro acryl titanium white are also go tos for me. Additionally, you can also get a nice grey by mixing vallejo's gc royal purple and sun yellow. Ultimately, the most important part of the setup is the brush and wet palette. I think nicer tools make a much bigger difference than nicer paints. I say to just work with what paints you already own, and only buy new ones if you really need to.

Slowly building up a torch's highlights. Lamps, screens, and similar are nowhere near to make a noticeable dent, compared to the actual sun or morning light. Even keeping a 100% brightness screen against your eyebulbs will make only a minor difference. Bigger issue is a light itself, as in general artificial light. Also the fact that a lot of people get elevated emotions from their screens (hence worse sleep quality). But again, the amount of light you get from a regular lamp or screen is usually not enough to severely hurt your sleep. Afaik, the difference between people who watch stuff on their screens and those who practice digital hygiene before their sleep usually ranges in minutes. I swear I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy a resin printer. I'm so sick of ordering 3d prints and having them show up with wildly inconsistent quality. And the fact that SLA printer resolution is relative based on the size of the printer is ridiculous. There is no reason in 2026 that SLA prints should have distinguishable layer lines or muddled details, but if the only way I can achieve that is to buy the smallest 16k printer and just do it myself or just trust a seller to not have shitty quality or be a retard with the supports.
