I think one of my biggest fake grog detectors is armour mark autism. It's a recent development.It's basically a retcon that all comes from GW backfilling the armour marks from mk6 in the early 90s with a few metal sculpts, that nuGW have completely ran with to the nth degree to make their HH game look different.Look back at people doing Heresy armies on Dakka Dakka in pre-2010 and you see none of this. I know that's only because the newer kits have allowed it, but people sperging out about seeing Iron Warriors in mk6 or whatever is completely misplaced to me.That's not me saying I don't like the different looks, just contextualising it.Take >>98894850 for example, it's a mk4 torso with mk7 legs. bought some of the ttcombat mdf terrain to fill up the board a bit. none of it seems to fit together properly, the pegs all seem to be shifted a couple of mm from where the sides would fit flush no matter which way I turn the parts. and if you the instructions it's impossible to actually put some parts together, the order is all wrong. next time I'm sticking with good old GW plastic hat I can melt with glue when it doesn't fit.

Actually whilst I'm on my autism: the painted examples on the Tau Piranha box were the resin Forge World version and not the actual plastic kit.You can tell because the Drone mounts have like "nubs" on the plastic kit, they are very simple on the resin one, and the resin Burst Cannon has a block in the middle as it would be impossible to cast the four rods as separate pieces like how the two-part plastic one does.
