I got rid of the Figma, but there's no way I'm ever getting rid of the AY unless I sotp collecting figures and do away with them wholesale.
It's curious (and kind of positive) that Bandai seems to have kind of yoinked the shoulder articulation from AY. It shows that they're hopefully willing to learn from others.

I legitimately prefer the claw. Random cheap Chinese ones have screws on the claws as well so those can be tightened. Plus you can also use a tightening agent to increase the strength of the claws on the regular ones.

The claws Bandai produces are pretty weak, I don’t like how they look compared to the peg. Probably the cleanest effect you could get is glueing a little magnet or a few in different places inside your figure’s torso and attaching some metal to a claw arm to pose it, but I don’t know if I can be bothered.

Holes are really secure and not a lot of trouble, assuming the stand's of good quality. But that'd be a problem with a claw stand as well if it isn't.
The claw is just super roundabout and clumsy for minimal gain (I can easily overlook a small peg hole in the back somewhere).

It’s important to be critical when the product is expensive and supposed to be high quality, but I think that’s more a statement you can make with your wallet rather than shitting on eachother. I think individual preorders are probably down and scalper/bot preorders are up on shf right now, but we do have a bit of a problem collector base in the DB fandom cause they will buy literally anything and not demand better.
Personally I love collecting SHF and have been since I first laid beady eyes on Apocalypse Zero in like 2009, but I really can’t have the confidence in anything preordered being guaranteed a quality toy anymore.
