Compared to Funko, they are at least ten times better. I wish they had articulation, though.
>>
>>11139175
For exaggeration, nearly anything else is a million times better than Funko
>>
>>11139175
Why do they need articulation? Just buy the ultimates if you want articulation. The way the sculpts are, articulation wouldn’t really work without ruining the sculpt.

Does anyone here know how well the Neca movie Aprils scale next to female McFarlane figures?

The Jada has some cool accessories and probably better articulation, but otherwise NECA's blows it out of the water
>>
>>11139809
There’s something really comfy about the Jada UM line that Neca just hasn’t replicated sadly.
>>
>>11139809
You do realize this new invisible man can replicate that right? And hell no, it doesn’t have better articulation. The NECA Universal Monsters line is better in every way.

>>11139830
I mean, it does have an unravelling head, but Jada's take on it looks way cooler. as for the articulation, the NECA looks much cleaner, but there's no way it's double jointed like the Jada. Plus the Jada has the cool glove removing hands that the NECA lacks
>>
>>11139847
Neca’s doesn’t come with the fossil hand, does it? Such a shame, a real shame.
>>
>>11139847
>a harpoon gun he never holds
>a shitty net that you would never display it with
Yeah no, the only accessory that would be nice is the fossil hand, but even that is unnecessary. Where the NECA figure shines, is the alternate heads and a large assortment of alternate hands. Way more than the Jada’s measly one alternate head and two extra hands. And let’s not get started on the shitty bright paint job on the Jada one, it looks awful and inaccurate.
>>11139870
Such a shame you’re still here.

NECA's stuff isn't good if you want to pose them with anything not NECA. I mean, what's your alternative there? McFarlane and Diamond Select are going to look way too cheap.
>>
I would take the figure that uses the more common scaling and has more articulation, even if that does break up the sculpt.
>>
>>11139867
Agree to disagree, the NECA’s version of it is more accurate to the film.
And as far as the articulation, sure maybe the Jada is better, but it’s not like he’s doing a bunch of action in the movie, or at least not when he’s able to be seen. So personally, I prefer the cleaner look of the NECA’s articulation that doesn’t break the sculpt as much.

I doubt that. Plus there's licensing costs, the fact that there's no reuse potential, it's going to push the price up on top of being resin.
>>
>>11143965
Good points, thanks. I’ll just wait until that one anon’s uncle Ali has it for sale on the cheap.
>>
>>11143965
I mean why’d they make it out of resin to begin with? I get it’s a higher quality, but a throne at 40-50 would’ve attracted more people.
>>
>>11143986
*plastic throne
>>
>>11143989
>Not everything has to "attract more people."
Isn’t that the point of a business though? To make more profit? I mean people complained about the original price of $75 when it first released. They should either make it out of a cheaper material and charge around $50, or if they wanna keep it resin, throw in some more goodies. Maybe some special, exclusive trophies, or maybe another diorama piece. Hell, maybe even throw in a figure or something.
>>
>>11143997
Ah yes, the basement manager's want of "just give me more stuff and charge me less." You're complaining about a piece from years ago.

There's already a trophy wall that's out there, which was also a resin cast piece. They're not going to include a figure with something like this either. It's meant to be a statue, a display piece. It's not the first resin item they've done, and clearly not the last.

I always forget NECA did a couple figures for 9. Re-found 'em while going through stuff for rotation. Would have loved to see more...the movie is...uh...forgettable (clearly), but the designs were good ones. The figures definitely shone more on sculpting and texturing than much else.

Loser here. Not big into toy collecting but wanted to get jigsaw and Ghostface figures. How much time do have before can't find them?
>>

You should be good for a while now. The Ghost Face (either version) is plentiful at Walmart and Targets, or even online. And Jigsaw is up for pre-order on the main online shops, but you can still find one at Walmart here and there no problem.

So, yeah, I would say no rush.
>>
>>11146868
I’ve heard that the ghostface takes manhattan is the best version, is there any chance that sees a store release at some point? It’s crazy expensive online
>>

Yeah, that one's insane on the aftermarket. I -heard- that they were going to release a version of it in stores (likely without some of the NYCC accessories), but I haven't seen anything about that yet. The Inferno Ghost Face is probably the better version in stores currently, otherwise.

Hmm surely they’ll do a waiting room playset then? It would only make sense if they’re gonna do those figures
>>

>looks like they’ll be to scale with that Dante’s Inferno Room playset they showed off at SDCC
Uh, the figurines are 4 inches, the Dante's Inferno is ultimates scale.
>>
>>11147744
It’s definitely not ultimates scale, I mean look the door’s height compared to beetlejuice.
>>
>>11147747
It is Ultimates scale. The Beetlejuice is an Ultimate figure and is included with the set. It's also meant to mimic the movie's forced perspective of the facade.
>>
>>11147748
What do you think their thought process is with the waiting room figures? It honestly seems random to me. It should’ve at least been the people from the original movie, but even then it’s random. They just keep releasing all this random stuff but have yet to put up an ultimates beetlejuice that everyone wants
>>
>>11147760
They've done figurine sets before. It's certainly been a while, but it's not a bad way to get these characters made that would never get normal figures. They're weird, but hey, they'll scratch an itch.

And why would it be from the original movie when the new movie is out? The new movie that they want to get merch out for because that's what people would be looking for first. Licensing wants merch for the -new thing-.
