>>11156062Why are you obsessed with making sure the OP pictures are of ugly figures, OP? Why not post good looking DC figures as the OP?
>>11156076If you can't afford $100+ on a figure, sure.
He looks stinky and makes me hear Living Dead Girl.I like to let the previous thread determine the vibe for the next but I could use sexy pics in OPs instead. I've noticed threads are more active when the OP pic is a hot girl.
>>11156082Sex sells threads
>>11156086Who's Stotm collectibles?
>>11156083Sells toys, too.
>>11156086>mcfart dickrider so butthurt he can't even spell correctlySettle down, okay?
>>11156071Because he's a shitposting loser. Notice that when he's not around the new threads don't get made before the bump limit and are not shitposts.
>>11156097You're being a little bitch, anon. It's just a new thread, you can continue arguing about a two dollar difference between McFarts and Black Series justifying the incomprehensibly shitty quality of McFarlane's products. You aren't even posting toys, you're just making autistic whining noises like a cunt.>>11156071This is a good conversation. Thank you for the constructive feedback.
>>11156104I want to like this Yamaguchi Supergirl but I feel like she's far less capable of cool posing from the promo images than other Yamaguchis like Catwoman or Arkham Knight. Maybe some reviews will prove that wrong.
>>11156094>You'll soon be able to recreate this with McFarlane figures Nice
>>11156104Shut up loser
>>11156094Why can't metahumans find some way to seal away the Joker for life without killing him and take the rest of Gotham lunatic criminals with him in the process as well.

>>11156141Yeah? Why don't you make me, buster?
>>11156151The easiest solution is to put him in the phantom zone.
>>11156220Hed get out. He is a genuis, maybe not briniac or luthor style genuis but still hes pretty damn clever. Id say drop him off in the fortress of solitude.
>>11156222>He is a genuisJust like you
>>11156222More secure than Arkham. The only reason he's able to escape is staff incompetence.
>>11156151>members of the justice league and society are spirits of vengeance or straight up gods and goddesses>heaven and hell are canon>in dc canon god sends characters to punish the evil and has a time out zone called hell for bad guys>batman still thinks its wrong to kill joker
I want Todd to make my boy. With even guys like Zsasz and Hugo Strange getting figures, it has to happen.
>>11156433Chris's head just doesnt feel right if the green isnt the same as the og suit. think a nightwing head might work better if it fits. cool idea though
>>11156151>Why can't metahumans find some way to seal away the Joker for life without killing him and take the rest of Gotham lunatic criminals with him in the process as well.Superman can literally do it, but doesn't.
>>11156449Was going for the flying Grayson suit
>>11156460ah, some reason i thought it was a irl btas styled take, guess there similar enough though
>>11156235I remember when a satan powered up all the villains to make them more dangerous. Also, since heaven and hell are canon, doesn't that mean murder is wrong? Sure, you can justify murder in religion, but sticking to your morals makes you an even better person.... aside from non-DC-canon Vertigo stuff, i don't actually remember how religion works in DC.Also, Aztec figure when?
>>11156433>Looks miserable
>>11156433>Jarrett
Where the fuck is my classic green arrow Mcfarlane, hes the only character i need to complete my ideal Justice League and finally be over with this line once and for all!

>>11156584Now here is the real test of whether your claim is accurate: Will the Black Canary figure have a hideous diaper?
>>11156595He's going to say you won't care about the diaper. He said that a year ago when he was lying about Power Girl being announced any day.
>>11156596He's wrong then, I always care about the diaper.
>>11156604He's wrong and he lies.
Shit like this is why I don't post the insider tidbits I get here.
>>11156595You won't care about the diaper. >>11156596He said that a year ago when he was lying about Power Girl being announced any dayRender to retail takes months. Power girl will be announced before Thanksgiving.
Insider here: the Invisible Plane will be 100% digital.
You can tell when Jarrett comes back into the thread because he immediately starts shit flinging
>>11156614I'm new here, only started lurking when Super7 announced the new Batmobile. Can I get a quick rundown?
>thread loreno
>>11156617You're asking to derail the thread with talk about one of their boogeyman posters? Post toys you dumb faggot.
>>11156617The good anons have figs in the official DC Gen Justice League. Bad posters like the schizo you're replying to who don't post toys are in the Injustice League.
>>11156632Even the Flash can't outrun clearance
>>11156637Still too expensive. I'd buy it for 2 dollars max.
>>11156617People here are contsantly yelling how much they hate Todd McFarlane and his figures yet keep talking about how they are still buying them.
>>11156637That's weird. Never seen any of The Flash movie figs pegwarming other than Dark Flash. Not even Supergirl. Not thanks to the movie ofc. Flash is a red hero, kids always buy his toys eventually, and Batman is Batman lol. Supergirl was a surprise, but I guess that S in her chest helps.
>>11156617Many anons never really came home again after the Imaginext Wars.
>>11156640I have no mcfarlane preorders. He's virtually stopped putting out quality products and is just mishmashing his worst figures together now. I bet if you compared Marvel Legends' 2024 new sculpts to DC Multiverse's 2024 new sculpts, Marvel Legends would have more. That is insane.
>>11156071Why not post the best Lobo toy?
>>11156649The new Black Series announcements are really nice. They're dipping into Shadows of the Empire and resculpting the New Hope characters. These are only a couple dollars more expensive than McFarlanes. Just look at the different blues used on the Mandalorians and Thrawns and compare them to the crayola 8 pack blue Todd used for the Question.DC Multiverse has gotten so awful.
>>11156653That actually is the best
>>11156653That's my mainest man.
>>11156672I imagine at least one random normal person in the world walks past this in a Target and thinks "wow, toys sure have declined since I was a kid, now they aren't even putting faces on them"
>>11156674Any adult walking down the toy isle nowadays know exactly what's on the shelf.
>>11156677The figure on the right is objectively better than the figure on the left.
>>11156071Because he's the Marvel General OP too, playing the long long game
>>11156672Look at those high detail buttons on the jacket. I remember when McFarlane used to be about high detail sculpts.
>>11154643>>11154316That Question looks decent but as I said elsewhere, a large Super Center Wal Mart has absolutely no McFarlane Toys anywhere, or in the back. >>11154790>Less noticeable texturing on the diaper is a disturbing flawYep, second time I noticed that, but on a different figure.>>11154790>Less noticeable texturing on the diaper is a disturbing flaw>>11154716Head does look better on that body. >>11156062>1726350288470883.jpg
>>11156504>mean murder is wrong? That's what the Spectre is all about. Deadman is also, kinda sorta, about righting injustices and correct the balance but many of his stories don't get as deep as murder itself.BTW: I've seen Aztec customs but not in ages. The face would need to be 3D printed. >>11156640I just spent $60 on two McFarlane's but still think they are mostly shitty figures; I spent more on a DC Direct Silver Age from an EB seller. And more figures I just passed on. I saw that Sargent Rock at a Target Super Center and since I was buying some Star Trek figures for his nephew, I thought this army vet might like it to have at his recruiting office, but after grabbing everything else I was buying (cereal, sponges, detergent and tooth paste), I took him out of the cart and put him back. >>11156644The Sasha Calle figure was pegwarming at TRU in Macy's; I saw some of the Spin Master toys on clearance, and the statue figures (Flash and Batkeaton) also on clearance at a Game Stop. But yeah, it feels like Shazam II, especially BB and even Aquaman peg warmed harder.>>11156678>but muh articulation>but muh scaling
>>11156678this one is even better and dances.
>>11156725>Star trek
>>11156655>DC Multiverse has gotten so awful. It always has been from day one. I'll never not be satisfied to see /toy/ turn on this line.
>>11156801Compare what Marvel Legends was giving in 2020/2021 for 25 bucks to what McFarlane was for 20 dollars and you'll see why it was all the heat back then.Marvel Legends has gotten a lot better in every way, while DC Multiverse has become a shittier version of what Marvel Legends used to be.
>>11156804MLs have been the same as they were 2 or 3 years ago. Same with McFarlane. Their quality hasn't changed in that time. But I'm still satisfied that people can see how shit this line has always been.
>>11156807MLs character selection has improved a lot, their painting has improved a lot, their updated bucks make just better toys overall. They're more expensive than a McFarlane but it's just worth it most of the times.McFarlane used to give unique detailed sculpts to each figure. If you didn't like its style from Day 1, ok that's your taste, but it clearly attracted a lot of people that made the line a huge success. Too many Batmans? Well people like Batman and buy them. What has gone wrong with McFarlane the last 2 years is that they went the ML route of doing mostly reuse but with bodies not designed for reuse and also making a bunch of C-listers only few poeple actually want but that are cheap to make.... because of re-use. And all of that at the same time they start charging more.
>>11156815>MLs character selection has improved a lot, their painting has improved a lot, their updated bucks make just better toys overall. Not since 2021. It's been exactly the same. I buy so many Legends that sometimes I forget when they came out and I confuse figures that came out in 2022 for ones that came out today. I don't know where you're getting this but they've been the same as they have been for years. I've been collecting them for over a decade.
>>11156681Rent free
>>11156672Looks good to me. Hope I can find one.
>>11156725Spectre is an agent of god though. Batman isn't.When all the first born egyptians were getting killed, it wasn't the jews killing them, it was a divine agent. >I've seen Aztec customs but not in agesBecause who even knows about Aztec? Those customs probably came out when the trade was released almost two decades ago, so that kept the character in people's minds for a couple years afterward. At least Morrison's other creation keeps getting attention in new comics..... who also needs a figure.
>>11156818NTA but you may be so deep into the line everything blends together. but stuff like new bodies for warbird, power princess, wolverine and more are noticeable. Going to double jointed elbows for females is notable Nd actually giving them an ab crunch.
I've noticed mcfarlanes have largely stopped selling out. Soon the days of clearance will return
>>111570284 more weeks
>>11157010Oh I agree those new figures you mentioned are vast improvements, but they're hardly the norm, and were all introduced this year and are exclusive to those three figures. Yeah, they're improving as time goes on, but it's not as dramatic as the other guy was trying to claim, at least not in the past few years.
>>11157034Oh boy time for Power Girl, right anon?
>>11157048Curious to see how you spin it when everything I leaked is revealed
Joker deck is complete
>>11157055Entirely depends on what her diaper looks like, anon. If the belt hides it, you will be hailed as a hero. If it's some ugly garbage with the top just trailing off into the upper leotard, or even worse, just a reused catwoman diaper with a floating belt, your prediction will be forgotten and lost to history.
>>11157060
>>11157063
>>11157064
>>11157060These are so obnoxious, I can't believe many people buy them. Maybe the Harley just because they want a version of her and can't get the old one. But Hush is relatively available still for cheap because it pegwarmed, and that Batman has a knee and elbow issue and is easy to get as well.
>>11157065
>>11157067It's them getting the most out of molds that they can't use for anything else but making them exclusives so they pay for themselves
>>11157070Well the issue is if no one buys them, then the retailer gets alienated and orders less of your figures. For example, a few are still sitting on target.com and have been for months and months, which is pretty much the benchmark for failure for a figure. Anything successful typically sells out on there (I assume they allocate very little for online stock and prioritize physical stores). A lot of stuff I preorder from target literally never comes in stock on the site after the preorders sell out day 1.
>>11157063Looks worse than the Hal version, especially with the lack of color variation. Good reuse of the mold for those that want it I guess.>>11157064Somehow I don't recognize this mold. It almost looks like a retooled Speeding Bullets but they would never retool at McFarlane, so...Either that or the clamshell is hiding the markings, I think I see something on the side on the left pic>>11157065This is a really scummy move on McFarlane's part, making the clearly better version with painted linework the platinum. But it is expected these days. Luckily I have the version of this I wanted from a few years back.>>11157068Here's a nonsensical one. If I ordered the regular and got sent the platinum I'd be pissed. But I already have a Damien that was 12 bucks or so, so I sure wouldn't pay 25 for one.
>>11157068>Chase variant is his Batman and Son lookOk, not bad Todd, not bad.
>>11157068>Includes a broken Professor Pyg mask.>No Professor Pyg figure from McFart yet.I guess I'll be stuck with the DC Collectibles Arkham Knight long-neck figure forever.
>>11157120its professor pig do you really expect any one to buy that
>>11157143Just because you're a stinky little casual Kathy, doesn't mean everyone else is. Professor Pyg comes from my favorite run in Batman ever, if I actually collected McFs (I don't, but DickBats and Damian are tempting me) I'd absolutely grab a Pyg. Hell, he's just a cool villain in general.
>>11157145......
>>11157143NTA but they could put him in as a mcfarlane store exclusive or something
>>11157154thats basically be the only thing thats be viable and even then i imagin it'd need to be a 2-acp. and we already got 2 DICKS so he kinda blew it on that one
>>11157154If Todd thinks characters like Clock King and Commander Steel can sell, Professor Pyg absolutely will too.
>>11156097Shut up kid
>>11157060thank fucking god now we can move on
I giggled a bit that they can't tell which one is Hush and which is Knightfall
>>11156554>jarret>clothcome on man pay attention
>>11157064Who buck this is?
>>11156784Nephew wants to be an astronaut. He's also on the low end of the spectrum and I think identifies with Spock or Data or both, don't know. What do you want? >>11156804>>11156807>>11156815>>11156818I've only bought one ML pre-lockdown because I had a Game Stop GC and it was the only thing I could find under $25 worthwhile in 2018.Recently bought about 10 more (including some dupes) and I would say their two packs are as overpriced as McFarlanes but they seems to come with more accessories. It's also easier to get the ones I wanted - even from scalpers - without hassle, being overcharged, etc.I still prefer DC even with McFarlane's diapers, and re-use. I suppose if I bought more ML than Spider-Man and wasn't such a Marvel casual, I might be more aware with how Hasbro reuses and does other crappy/shitty things, but it would be absurd for me to comment on shit I don't know sufficiently about.McFarlane's reuse is very easy to see just from reviews, from photos, or even just on the shelves at stores.
>>11156907>who also needs a figure.
>>11157357I'd guess a heavily modified Speeding Bullets Batman buck with a new chestpiece based on the old one but with no indentation for a raised logo, new trunks, new boots and new hands and head.
>>11157379Mcfarlane's greatest strength, unique sculpts, became his weakness once he switched to heavy reuse. The parts are too identifiable, making the reuse really jarring and noticeable, especially when it doesn't fit the character's design but is used just because it "sort of" fits. It must be demoralizing to be say, a Sgt Rock fan and get a mostly reused Bane with a headsculpt that doesn't even look like Sgt Rock. Or a Midnighter fan who has to put up with those Dark Detective pieces that don't fit in places. As a Cassandra Cain fan I know it was saddening that the figure did not really resemble her much except for the new head. The reuse of older Batgirl mold is obvious from the designs.
>>11157064>>11157357>>11157384 NTA, but I kinda hope this means this (or that recent Agent Liberty) will be reused to make a Jim Harper Guardian.
Something tells me all this reuse and new statue licenses means mcfarlane intends to not reup the license when it expires next time.
>>11157413You have to look around his Amazon store to get to the DC, if you don't go directly to a DC page from "search" - last time I had to find out what DC was on sale, and I landed on his page because I don't have it bookmarked, the first stuff that came up wasn't even SPAWN or DC, but his Marvel statutes. It really does feel like that's the business he wants to be in?
>>11157418Todd clearly prefers statues now and has for quite awhile. The market rejected him once his statues had to decline in quality due to the Chinese labor cost increases and paint app cost skyrocketing though, as well as his potential shops drying up to places like LCS, FYE, Hot Topic and Suncoasts. At that point it seems like he didn't think he could raise prices commensurate to the costs the Chinese factories were demanding of him to keep the quality constant--and maybe he couldn't because it would be too drastic a swing for customers to handle. So he had to downgrade his offerings to keep the price reasonable and even drop making stuff in some cases.Issue is, poor collectors don't have the room to display statues that can't even move or offer them any entertainment value like toys can. Statues provide a lot less value. So once the statues didn't look worth displaying, poorer collectors simply didn't buy them.Rich collectors bought high quality statues like x-plus or prime 1 studio and won't touch modern Mcfarlane statues for the most part.I only would've liked to have paid more attention to this playing out in the late 00s and 2010s to know what McFarlane might have been able to do to avert it--just for interest's sake. I don't know if he could've pivoted and become like an x-plus or prime 1 studios. His statues were very good in the early 00s, very impressive for their price. But maybe he also lost a lot of his talent and thus couldn't continue at that level.
>>11156815Stop making shit up. McFarlane's line was a huge industry joke, the all Batman/All Evil Batman Shit from Metal and bullshigt "KEWL" designs made the line so radioactive at retail that stores were stuck with unsellable stock. Not to mention the bullshit "MAH DC TOYZ ARE 7 INCHES BECAUSE I HAVE A TINY MICROPENIS" shit from McFarlane trying to compensate for having a micro-dick crap that also alienated fans. Todd fucked the line up so badly, to keep the license from a BETTER company, IE Mattel, Todd had to agree (and against his will) to hire one of the guys who handled the Mattel DC line and the contract for the license basically saying the Mattel guy controls all character selection/designs going forward and can tell Todd to eat shit and die if he tries the shit he did early on in the line, meaning we start getting shit fans WANT. Like Classic 90s era/Silver Age era JLA, Hal as Green Lantern not held captive in a worthless two pack, classic character designs, popular B/C listers, and shit like the Schuemacher Batman film characters getting new toys. And even then, Todd uses what little power he still has to explicitly spite fans by making most of these fan requested characters impossible to find via limited production amounts or being internet only, resulting in shit like classic WW being impossible to find and the bullshit Platinum system where characters have a super limited production run.
>>11157390>Or a Midnighter fan who has to put up with those Dark Detective pieces that don't fit in places.Oh yeah, totally ended up recently running down an overpriced Authority figure - even if it has limited posing/articulation (now in hand but haven't had chance to open package). The McFarlane version just looks like a very poor and unimaginative BatMan cosplayer.I bet the movie version will have a stupid costume and be some godforsaken old actor friend of Gunn's so THAT toy would also be shitty. Better to give my money to someone who hung onto a sealed toy for a decade even if cost them $14 and cost me $35.
>>11157435Not even that anon but stop making up your mental diarrhea scrawled on the walls: the Mattel guy cannot boss Todd around in his own company, that simply isn't how any company works. He was hired because he could implement reuse to save money and that he did. And anyone can look up Mattel's offerings from when they lost the license and clearly see they are worse in sculpt, paint, effort and even sometimes articulation(!) than McFarlane's grimdark Batmen under objective standards, even if you don't like the designs. Those grimdark Batmen are what DC was putting out in the recent comics with the Dark Nights and Dark Nights Metal storylines. DC brought that upon themselves willingly. If they didn't want those to be made into toys they could've easily vetoed them as licensor.
>>11157473
>>11157479
I started collecting Todd's line now that he's focused on more classic versions of characters. My current Rogues Gallery is coming along nicely, supplemented with some DC Direct figures, an a Mattel Killer Croc. I feel like the sculpts and over all quality has really improved.
>>11157491My only critism is that my Bane has some really unsightly sprue marks on both of his elbows.
>>11157496>Choose your fighterComparison between Mcfarlane, Mattel, DC Direct, and Mafex.
>>11157491Wow, nobody cares.
>>11157504Direct comparison shots with Mafex and McFarlane.
>>11157504>>11157509I mean obviously the mafex is the clear winner, but the mcfarlane is no slouch either.
>>11157504Add the battle damaged Batman
>the mafex is the clear winner
>>11157509For such a simple design I just can't imagine paying more than like 30 bucks. I wonder where a lot of the budget goes with the Mafex. Making sure the knees and elbows don't look like shit I guess? Testing the ab crunch instead of just throwing stuff together and hoping it works? A bit more wires on the cloth cape than modern McFarlane wired cloth capes. I suppose part of it is just higher paid sculptors to avoid weird, awkward sculpts that mcfarlane has issues with. Extra accessories. But all that adds up to 60+ dollars more?
>>11157512Why are you samefagging yourself CC?
>>11157519Have you ever had a mafex? The articulation is far superior. It’s worth the price.
>>11157524No it's not
>>11157509Neutral standing poses. In hand I think both are really solid figures. Mcfarlane deserves some extra credit here, in that his figure has sculpted on boots, with surprisingly cleaner paint apps, most noticeable in comparing the paint on the chest emblems. I also feel the McFarlane has the nicer head sculpt of the two. The only thing I'd really want is a pinless version with a cloth wired cape. This particular figure got me to finally buy into the McFarlane line. I was content with just Mafex and mixing them with my old DC Classics, but now I have another line to buy.
>>11157527Looks like shit
>>11157527The proportions on the mcfarlane one are terrible
>>11157504for me its mctellireex
>>11157532Which is why CC likes them. He has terrible taste in toys.
>>11157527Of course, a tale of two Batmen. Both versions are really solid and have real shelf presence. You honestly can't go wrong with either.
>>11157524Yes, I have a few, the articulation is nice, but I wouldn't really pay the mafex price for just any character look. I sometimes wonder if someone with a domestic could copy the Mafex articulation style with very little extra cost in manufacturing. Is it mostly just a knowledge problem, where the people hired at domestic companies either don't know and don't care to analyze better articulation schemes, like take apart mafexes and copy how they do things?
>>11157538No, you go wrong by buying McFarlane.
>>11157535Neat custom. That's pretty much what I want out of a Neal Adam's Batman.>>11157513I almost posed him in there along with the BTAS repaint.
>>11157538I’m hoping they eventually do the mafex with the grey and black, I think it’d potentially be the definitive Batman.
>>11157532The average person won't notice it. What they will notice is it looks awkward in most poses you put it in, like it's uncanny valley for posing. Some poses I can't even tell why they look wrong or awkward; they just do. It's in the little details where it fails.Except those elbows, those things are monstrous and should never have gotten past design.
>>11157527if the mafex didnt have that awful plastic cowl thing floating over his shoulders and eating his neck itd be a clear winner. should had made it something like >>11157535
>>11157547Hey CC, keep your trip on okay? Yes, people will notice it. Even "average people" will notice the gargantuan, horrible long legs on these figures.
>>11157546I'd pick it up; I'm already enjoying posing him with their Ivy and Harley, both of which are two of their best sculpts. I'm a sucker for any BTAS repaints anyone wants to do. The neat thing about Mafex is that they scale with Classics, so they have lots of place holder characters until Mafex gets around to doing them.
>>11157473>>11157476abomination
>>11157556I only notice it on some figures, like Catwoman. Not really Knightfall
>>11157560Don't worry Jimmy, it's above your price range, you'll never be forced to buy one.
>>11157561Dude c'mon. Legs are like DC Multi's biggest weakness. It's honestly insane it keeps happening.
>>11157562shut up hot toys designer, you have created a travesty
>>11157563I'd say the lack of thigh cuts and proper chest articulation, as well as heavily ratcheted ankles are what keep me from enjoying DCMV far more than long legs. The posability is their big weakness. Their designers seem to think that if they just make double jointed elbows and knees that can go back far that somehow qualifies as "good articulation"
>>11157567The video game designers actually created that travesty. Why not blame them?
>>11157572The Mafex's sculpt is heavily impacted in order to accommodate the articulation, which in the end makes it look ugly and uncanny.
>>11157583Not sure what you’re seeing, but it looks great to me.
>>11157585the tiny ass lower section that looks jarring and unnatural compared to the upper torso, along with the giant shoulder gaps, and floating neck piece for the cape.
>>11157599That’s just superhero proportions
>>11157583The abs look a bit unnatural, the fact that there is a plastic cape topper rather than it being entirely cloth fastened under the cowl, and the shoulders being rather low is somewhat annoying to me, but other than that it looks fine. And I don't think the cape topper really was made to help the articulation--if anything it probably hurts it
>>11157605The plastic cape topper is for the spiky cape look, it couldn’t really have been done otherwise. And it’s really not as bad as you anons are saying.
>Retrospam starting up again>Crimson Queer unbanned and samefagging alreadyGee, totally unrelated right?
>>11157610Probably not. I would've preferred they just didn't do the spiked cape parts, but it isn't the biggest deal ever, just not my preferred way to handle such a thing. If you're going cloth, the entire cape should be cloth IMO. It's weird to mix part of the cape as plastic and part as cloth.
>>11157479>>11157481That doesn't look bad if you can ignore that the torso version of her uniform looks like a cheap, dollar store brand sponge. And these are the box promotional shots which likely don't match the toy inside.>>11157504The gray on the far left looks better and here >>11157527 the one on the right, if it's a different figure, but still prefer the Bats I own:

>>11157920I've been reading this gen too long. I can no longer even speak properly. "new moldS ARE made"
>>11157794That AC1000 body looks so bad in comparison
>>11157934It's uncanny. It has human and robotic elements. The washer at the shoulder is plainly, inhumanly cut, rather than molded to look like it fits as part of the figure's shoulder. The ab crunch sits so high above the stomach that it looks like some kind of armor plating he is wearing over it rather than part of his form. The hands attach at a ball rather than directly to the wrist. This figure is unnatural, it is bizarre, it's like a half human, half robot creation rather than an action figure meant to try to closely resemble a human except where absolutely necessary like in pins. What is an even greater insult is simply that the ab crunch and the pseudo-butterfly don't actually work. So they were all for nothing. The look of the figure was sacrificed for nothing but to be able to act like it has modern articulation, even though it doesn't.
>>11157940The torso just looks like a tumored body, all the others are V shaped and that one is just bulgy.
>>11157943They were still experimenting with how they wanted to do the chest cut at the time, and they made the plastic far too thick. McFarlane puts out what are pretty much prototypes into mass production. Rather than doing their experiments on prototypes, scrapping the prototypes, and then releasing a good, finished result of their work, they instead release and manufacture prototype after prototype until they are satisfied with their end result on that part of the figure. Then that part stops changing until they want to do another experiment.
>>11157950Sounds about right, I think only the last two attempts or so did they really hit their stride with a base Superman body.

Someone also finally bought the one being sold from the UK that with shipping, came out to under $50 (or someone in the UK/EU bought it?)People are listing used ones for $45-50 but no one seems to be biting. Auctions for loose/used that start low have gotten up to $30 with postage, so about $35-40 total depending on where they are.People are already posting the new bald "L" Teen Titans Conner Kent at scalper pricing but no one seems to be falling all over themselves to buy. >>11157435>Todd fucked the line up so badly, to keep the license from a BETTER company, IE Mattel, Todd had to agree (and against his will) to hire one of the guys who handled the Mattel DC line and the contract for the license basically saying the Mattel guy controls all character selection/designs going forwardoh i didn't even see this part. you are legitimately retarded, huh?
