The first Shin Ultraman release was a genuine QC nightmare with paint. Shinkocchou Seihou (the most "premium" SHF sub-line of them all) started trying out flexible materials with poor results that they backpedaled from. Every line has had botch jobs.If there's a problem with Bandai and SHF in particular now that didn't exist a decade ago it's that they're just overextended. They make more figures and more copies. The line was very different back when it was primarily for Kamen Rider nerds and obscure outside of Japan. Robot Damashii on the other hand is the exact same, for better or worse.
