I just finished this MOC of the Black Falcon Torture Tower a minute ago and made a fun video showcasing it. Really cool, if you wanna check it out. A great Halloween build.https://youtu.be/J4Tp6wOjTb4?si=UVrZTJGG7HwSzGJa
I upgraded my Ice Planet display diorama, and added some interior details to the building on the corner. I like the way the computer station turned out.
>>11218721Original Ice Planet babe approves. She is on holiday at the Bahamas.
Finally some progress with the Black Falcon's fortress I started over 2 years ago.
>>11218721This looks sick when I tilt my head. Ice Planet, M-Tron and Blacktron were my jam for space.
I also did an upgrade on my Blacktron II diorama after getting some more transparent neon green panels to make the window in the base on the back of the scene bigger. The doors to the base really work, though there isn't much on the other side
>>11218774This is beautiful friend. I'm always in awe when I see you post stuff, always looks so whimsical
>>11219550Thanks! I try to make the places feel like I could live there. Also I prefer the older parts and colors with little modern things here and there. It's basically the stuff I missed from the early 90s. I just remember Wolfpack, Forestmen and Dragon Knights from my daycare. Finally got back to Lego 2 years ago.
I am building some open spots in my town, gotta make space for all the figs I like
More of a mod than moc
Hit rock bottom and had to move back in with my parents. Found 1/4th of my legos, and started working on this smugglers ship. Kind of a take on the bricksters hideout from Lego island 1. Still a lot of work to do. Fun making a shitty build after all these years.
>>11225018Oh man, just seeing old brown makes me happy! You got all the cool parts!
I've pretty much finished the layout of my Ninjago City. Any opinions on what I should do with the empty space in the middle? A small island, more buildings or just more boats?
>>11225255Floating Garden Temple.
The real Ninja!
>>11225261That might be a good idea. It wouldn't make the space too crowded and I didn't really like the red temple that came with the City Gardens.>>11225267The one and only. I missed that line completely when it first came out; I think the local stores didn't have them.
>>11225271I missed it too, only had the red robber guy with a small cart. Got all this stuff in the past 2 years.
My ninjas
>>11225353Really digging that landscape.
>>11225353Adding a little temple with snowy roof would make it perfect!
>>11218732She’s so hot
Pepper being an idiot, wish I could find my Lego pizzas
A small tower moc I made a while ago, it's not great because I'm not the best mocer and it was limited to mostly parts from a few knights kingdom final wave sets (except the minifigs obviously) but I enjoyed it, going to take it apart to make more of a backdrop/scene with now, hopefully with lots of vegetation. There's a ladder between the bottom and floor and the central floor but the spaces are very barren.>>11225267Always love seeing yours, among my favourite mocs ever, so comfy>>11225353Really cool>>11225255I'd say more boats of a few different designs>>11220632it's a good combination regardless
>>11218774Really like your black trees. They look good but also while not falling into the trap of being overly detailed.
>>11225353Love this anon.
>>11227478Thanks, this is the biggest one I've made. I try to keep it simple with the 80s-90s style and colors.
>>11227009Thanks, maybe this huge moc will be complete one day! Started with the Black Falcon's tower back in june 2022.
>>11226891Big booba brick babe
>>11225267
a little setup of some characters I showed a while ago in /lg/, resting at an overgrown ruinone stands guard while the others eat and talk, and the fencer sharpens his dagger
>>11228162Very comfy
>>11228162Oh hey I temember your dwarf sigfig
>>11228186Thanks, I really need to finish sorting out my old sets, sell what I don’t want and sort what I keep to moc with because right now I’m quite limited, they’ll just end up hanging out in the old medieval market village most of the time until then. It’ll probably still be a while>>11228188Yeah he’s an og, he must’ve first come into being over 15 years ago, nearly all the others are new combinations if not new parts
Some progress with Black/Dragon Knights castle.
Hey folks, looking for a bit of advice, I want to put purple pieces into pic related so it's similar to this https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dK4sCqAw5BYwsTfhVDO55bjtvY2DeilK and it should be able to close, any suggestions?
>>11228812It's a trap!
I made this a while back.
>>11228932Love 2tone ska!
>>11218200No
This yellow parrot guy is one of my favorite minifigures.
I have finished the digital buildPlanned partsColored itParts listedAll added to CartDouble checkedTriple checkedWaiting on Seller cause I can't check outBut hey first MOC using Studio is I guess complete and ready for order and physical build
What’s the best way to go about ordering random bricks you need or want? Kind of need a QRD on sites like brick link. Are they actually the original pieces or 3D printed versions. I have no idea
Anons, I'm thinking of building a Lego City with Lepin. Lego's just fucking insanely expensive, and it seems like the buildings get more expensive, while growing smaller. Many of the buildings remind me of early-2000s Lego budget buildings.Whereas Amazon has really fleshed out stuff. Is it a good idea?
>>11230362Bricklink only allows genuine Lego pieces, either new or used. The stores are all individually run, the site itself only handles the transaction/inventory process. If you have a list of specific parts you want, find them by searching the Bricklink catalog and add them to a Wanted List in the colour and quantity you want. Then go to the Wanted List section from the top right and choose the "Buy All" button, which will show you which stores have the parts you want. From there you can filter the stores to only include ones in your country/continent to save on shipping. You make a separate order with each seller so you generally want to use as few stores as possible to save on shipping, even if it means some piece prices are higher.
>>11230367If you're not averse to second-hand, you can get a lot of basic bricks for relatively cheap from FB Marketplace. If you buy and clean/sort bulk lots you can offset the cost or even make a profit by selling the stuff you don't want.
>>11229595>>11229597Sovvle as always Anon
>>11230433Nice thank you, I bought a small time cruiser set from their once and was pretty happy with it. Do you think some of the pieces are mix and matched from newer sets? All my legos are from the 90s and early 00’s so I’m trying to keep them from that era after I heard more recent bricks tend to crack or break, which might just be fake news idk.
>>11231132New colors like reddish brown and pearl gold were really bad 10 years ago. Cheese slopes seem to crack easily too on any color, never happened to me though. The overall quality is worse than 20 years ago.
>>11231132It's pretty likely for a used set, the colours should still be era-accurate (eg old greys not new greys) because they're separate colours according to the Bricklink catalog. But a green piece for example could be from a newer set since it's the same colour as it always was.Unless the description says "built once and displayed" or something.
Anyone know if there's plans for Horizon Lego?
>>11231456Ask in the containment thread. This is the moc thread.
>>11231459Whoops. Sorry.
3-1 plus a few more bits.
>>11231864Nice! I like the yellow accents!
>>11231870 They are light orange
>>11231864>>11231882Crop your pic, then post,
>>11228812I never understood this and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
>>11231882WHO THREW THE CHEESE ON THE ROOF?
>>11232523
>>11230438That's a good idea, anon. Are ultrasonic cleaners good for this sort of thing? Is it cheaper than Lepin-type stuff? Thanks for the tip.
>>11232726I've never used them but one Anon talks about his occasionally. I just use buckets of water and dish detergent but if you have one already they apparently work well.>Is it cheaperIt depends, if you're patient you can pick up great deals much cheaper than buying anything new, and with the superior old Lego quality. Plus resale value if you ever decide to sell it. But if you're looking for grey bricks specifically, I would say just buy by the kg from Webrick. White, yellow, and red are common enough in older lots (90s and earlier) but greys are much less common. Check out Bricklink to compare the prices of different basic brick colours.I would say just shop around to see what there is in your area first.
Update of my cantina/surrounding area moc, I need to close off the dewback area and add a few more builds to the junk area
>>11233730
>>11233732Nice, gotta have the wolfman and lol for dead Greedo!
I updated my M:Tron diorama to have a fully functional crane. Previously I didn't have long enough 2×something plates so the crane's rail was actually composed of two plates held together by the crane, which meant I couldn't make it actually move. I got a long enough plate now, so I covered the top of the plate with tiles so that the crane can slide on it.
>>11234706"I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something off with the new guy..."Can you tell what it is?
I also made a little flatbed hover transport for moving cargo containers. The container is identical to the one from the Particle Ionizer set, except the door is flat gray because I didn't have extra M:Tron print doors. It's held in place by a jumper plate and can be easily lifted off the bed of the vehicle.
Some small updates to my Ice Planet diorama as well. Most notably I added another large window panel. I'm thinking of giving the building a 2nd floor, with the bottom floor being a storage room/workshop, and the upper floor having a bed and a computer station.
>>11233730 Very cool!
>>11234706P>>11234707>>11234711>>11234712Really awesome mocs! Two of my favorite space factions.
>>11237986Thanks.Here's another Ice Planet thing I've been working on. It started out as the Y-wing microfighter. Not entirely happy with the front, as it's just cludged together from parts I had at hand. The radar aray at the rear is detachable, as with the official Ice Planet sets of similar size.Btw the thing I alluded to in >>11234707is that the guy with the pushcart carrying the box uses the Spyrius head instead of the plain smiley face that M:Tron minifigs normally have. The implication is that he's a Spyrius spy who has disguised himself with an M:Tron uniform in order to infiltrate their base and seal their technology.
>>11238828Did you erase the red hair or is it just the lighting? Also really cool mod of the ship!
>>11238863It's just the lighting and the angle of the photo (the helmet and visor block most of it from view).
Building some castle ruins for my forestmen, so they can ambush unsuspecting travelers and enemy knights
>>11241246Forgot pic like a dweeb
>>11241249Looks like a great start, please post more as it progresses
>>11241249The forestmen approve!
How I picture most Europeans, I’ve never actually seen one before but my family tells me stories of them
>>11243119Pretty much me, but with long curly hair. I'm northern European.
>>11243119Pretty much me, but with a long curved penis. I'm southern European.
>>11243119Looks Asian to me.
>>11244470I alt-built him a little pod
>>11244491And I brought him the rest of my UFO guys to hang out with.
>>11244499I always really like the helmets but never had any of the sets…
