I'm sorry but who the fuck is Fabian? Is he an X-character?

Another X-homo with zero character development that was quickly forgotten by the time the next X-homo debuted.
>>
>>11219318
Succinctly put. Another forgettable nobody that IIRC even the old Toy Biz 5" line ignored. Easy pass.

Magneto flunky from X-Men 1, if you saw the 90s cartoon, he was the dude on the asteroid screeching about flatscans and doublecrossing Magneto.

He's shit.

These are going to be "casual collector" releases. Stuff to have on shelves for anyone that just wants to buy a figure of the character.
>>

Him screeching "flatscans" every 15 seconds is the most memorable he ever was.
>>
>>11219349

Honestly I don't mind these. Keeps popular characters on the shelves without hogging new waves with re-releases. Also good for anyone who missed out and just need that specific character.
>>
>>11219181
Surprised they actually made future Spot even if it's just redeco, which I'll admit I was kinda hoping for one since I liked the look.

It literally frees up comic waves from movie stuff while keeping the line going with single re-releases. Don't know why that pissed you off so much unless you think that somehow "takes away resources" from a new wave which is pretty moronic.
>>
>>11219344
Kind of surprising, given ToyBiz's "make 'em all" way of doing things. Aside from Exodus (who i guess did become something after I stopped reading) the Acolytes were all pretty much "who?" characters. Didn't stop Senyaka from getting a figure, though. His claim to fame was fucking up that nurse in X-Factor. *shrug*

Those weren't me silly goose. Answer their question, why do these waves upset you?
>>
>>11219568
It was originally $20 back in 2019 when it originally came out. These Infinity Saga figures are just reissues to keep evergreen figures on the shelves. They've already done two other waves of this model. I would've loved something like this back when I was collecting MCU stuff, giving me a second chance for figures I missed previously. That Cap was notoriously difficult to get since it was a Walmart exclusive.

so if anyone remembers the iron man mark 1 and 4 model kits i asked about a few days ago, i bought them and they kinda suck
pieces are hard to put together like bootleg legos, barely any articulation, even one of the arms of mark 1 snapped when trying to pose it and i had to super glue it
i don't even know if they're bootlegs cuz all of the copyright info and this lenticular sticker that seems to be a generic disney one, with copyright for literally everything they own (except espn)

That's just one company, and that's because they're an actual named company. Plenty of others doing bootlegs don't put their own brand/company name on it and just release shit with all the real branding/packaging. Look at all the Marvel Legends bootlegs. 90% come from faceless, random mysterious bootlegger factories that imitate the package and branding as close as possible.
>>
>>11219983
Toy companies use the holographic stickers specifically because it's harder to replicate, so only a few bootleg companies, if any, even bother trying. That was the case for SHFs for the longest time, I don't know about now as I haven't looked up bootlegged stuff in a long time.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any people like that in these threads. Personally, I collect only characters and costumes that I have a strong connection to. Like the Jim Lee X-Men looks were their looks for my childhood, so those costumes are pretty definitive for me, but I also really enjoyed Astonishing X-Men so I am collecting those versions too. I was never into something like Age of Apocalypse so I don't care for those versions. The only thing I'll get pretty much whatever version of is Spider-Man since he's my all time favorite character, but even then, I'm slowing down on Spidey stuff, like I don't particularly care for the latest Spider Verse movie so I'm not really getting anything from that.

While I'm happy Fabian is getting a figure, he should really have been a two-pack or a five pack figure because he's a kind of basic bitch figure there.

Pack him with a proper blue Quicksilver (why the fuck is he being released in the green suit???) or in a box set with another Marauder, Reaver, MLF member, and a Savage Land mutate character.

This guy looks like Doug Jones had a kid with Henry Cavill. Anyway, some of these would be nice like Ultimate Iron Man and Daken. I also need a Ultimate Thor and Hulk to finish the main Ultimates team.

I like Werewolf by Night but his design is kinda lame, unless they lean more to the MAX visual with lot of teeth and blood.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a lot of previously rumored stuff that had new tooling was cancelled. The output of figure from all previous years to this year is wild. This year is going to have less than half the figures of the last 2 or 3 years. Punisher will for sure get another release using the new 2-pack body. They just need to paint the boots and gloves white and its an instant sellout. As for Mandarin, I'm hoping for his TAS version, but more likely it'll be his armored Acts of Vengance version. If they really want to be lame, it'll be on that Rose suited body.
>>
>>11221108

>>11221139
>Punisher will for sure get another release using the new 2-pack body.
A Punisher plus the recent pinless Daredevil in a 2-pack would be a slam-dunk home run, except it will NEVER happen, because Hasbro knows we want both, and they would instead get broken up into two 2-packs of each of them bundled with a C-list character many people would pass on.

The Toy Biz X-Men and X-Force lines had a weird approach to villain teams where they'd usually make just one or two members of a group then stop, while Hasbro's Legends line at least tends to gradually release a whole lineup, even if they try to get you to buy some expensive five-pack of figures a lot of the time. There are like 20 Acolytes, most of them never appeared much, but it would be cool if this was the start of Hasbro making the main ones.

This guy >>11219969 is right though. Cortez was a Starscream character type, was one of the bad guys in the biggest selling comic of all time, and a memorable secondary X-Men villain of the 90s who was underused ever since because they kept killing him.
>>
>>11221226
Gorgon + Maximus and they've done all the main Inhumans, so if there's another 2 pack it should be them.

Medusa, Crystal and Maximus both have enough different costumes that there'd be an easy 2 pack if they want to make an updated Medusa.

>new Ultimate Fan Channel Exclusive line coming. When I say Ultimate, I mean figures with lots of accessories. The first two figures slated for this line looks to be new Spider-Man and Hulk figures. Spider-Man will have an unmasked, regular masked head and spider-sense masked tingling head. he also comes with multiple hands, webbing effects, backpack, a set of lower arm/hands that have no costume but have webblasters on the hands, and some kind of stand. Hulk will have three heads, multiple hands, some kind of firing missile, wind clapping effect and punch effect. Hulk will stand 8.5" tall.
Brand new molds I hope. Import tier articulation. The wind clap leads me to believe Hulk can perform a thunderclap.

Yep. I'm hoping this too. Don't care about spiderman since we have the mafex, but the hulk mould is 5 years old now and it would be great to have a new one with forward butterflies, waist and torso rocker, double jointed elbows, and knees. Floating neck and with 3 heads we could get some great expressions.
I know I'm probably asking for too much.

They're copying mcfarlane with the CE waves. They want to push toy prices through the 30 dollar barrier for standard sized figures.
>>
>>11221921
>forward butterflies,
That actually work. Unfortunately that needs to be said.
>>
>>11221867
>Import tier articulation.
Hasbro can't do this. They don't have the designers who know how.
>>
>>11221867
I won't lie, I don't like this model. I can see this Ultimate Hulk easily being upwards of $50 if they go this route. I don't know if I can support this. Like someone said, the Mafex Spidey will always trump whatever Hasbro has to offer, and even though I may be tempted by it, I'm going to try and skip it since I have much better import figures. As for the Hulk, I'm pretty happy with my 80th Anniversary version, I don't think I really need a new one any time soon, even with marginally improved articulation, I just don't want to spend $50-$60 on a Hasbro product, when, not too long ago, that was what the standard import cost before shipping.

>>
>>11222021
I don't care what they cost as long as they're good. Price out the poorfags, let them have the regular line. I'm tired of them dragging 1/12 Marvel figures down.
>>
>>11222021
>I don't like this model.
>I don't know if I can support this.
That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their choice. I've been saying for years though that i'd like to see a dedicated collector line that isn't limited by the constraints of appealing to big retail stores. Even if they only do 1 or 2 a year and stick to the big name characters.
People who only want $25 deepcuts with heavy re-use can still get them from Walmart and Target, but for people who regularly drop $100 per figure on imports, there should be a domestic option. I think the biggest issue like >>11222015 said, is that Hasbro seem very loyal to their ToyBiz designers like Dwight who have a very specific style when it comes to sculpt and engineering. It's kind of like Yamaguchi in it's own way. Unfortunately it means that things like oversized heads, low shoulders, undersized delts, swivel waists, etc. are so ingrained in the history, that doing something completely outside that box that looks like I could have been made by a completely different company isn't on brand for them.
I'd love to be wrong, but even when they've had opportunities to do things differently, like with the HASLABS, they always stick to their same tried and tested builds.
>>
>>11222039
Reading comprehension must not be your strong suit. I specifically state I don't want to spend that kind of money on HASBRO product, since it would be encroaching import prices, when we all know the quality won't be encroaching import levels along with the price.

>>11222040
Like I said, it's just because we all know these things won't be import levels of quality even though they are going to start nearing that same price point. I don't mind at all paying more for a superior product, it's why I collect Mafex and other imports. I just am afraid, and I know most of the vocal posters in this thread are too, that the quality won't be as a dramatic of an increase as the price. That's all.

>>11222046
>I've been saying for years though that i'd like to see a dedicated collector line that isn't limited by the constraints of appealing to big retail stores. Even if they only do 1 or 2 a year and stick to the big name characters.
These already exist, they're called imports. I don't see the benefit of Hasbro doing a lesser product for the same price. At that point, just buy the import since it'll be better. DC Collectibles tried to do this with their Batman v Superman figures and it bombed HARD. And you can't even blame the fact that it was BvS since people are still asking and buying new figures from those films today.

>but for people who regularly drop $100 per figure on imports, there should be a domestic option.
Why though? More than half this thread is bitching about Hasbro not being good enough, do we really expect them to suddenly make import tier figures? No lmao. If this line even happens, it's going to be you regular MLs with additional accessories. It's what Todd does, don't expect Hasbro to be any different.
>>
>>11222071
>These already exist, they're called imports.
Yeah. I know what you mean. I just feel like the resources hasbro have at their disposal, there's no reason they can't compete with medicom, the same way bandai do with gsc. Even the bootleggers are getting in on the action now with superior products. There's no reason that hasbro with the right team couldn't put out a classic romita spidey on a completely new buck with high quality plastic and painting that rivals the mafex for $100. They don't even need to call it legends. Clearly as I alluded to before, they just don't currently have the talent or skills to make it happen.
>>
>>11222071
Oh I understood poorfag. You’re assuming hasbro cannot compete with imports, while that may be true now, these ultimate figures may be the turning point for hasbro. Rumours state that hasbro might be letting go of the licence, this might be their last chance to consider keeping it. They could step up this time, actually releasing quality figures and if the prices are higher, around the same as imports, then so be it, I am not poor.
What >>11222046 said is true, that their shitty concepts are ingrained in the line, but until I see these ultimate figures, I am praying for something innovative, no matter how unlikely.
>>
>>11222101
I get what you mean, but I just don't see any of Hasbro's products, even where they put in the effort like GI Joe Classified, being anywhere near import tier. And that's fine, that isn't a knock against them. Sure they may be capable, but I just don't see them putting out import quality items for the prices they charge. I mean hell, we're already past the $50 mark for deluxes like the Hulkbuster. I don't see a new Hulk being THAT much better than what we currently have to justify the $50-$60 Hasbro will inevitably charge.

>>11222104
>>Oh I understood poorfag. You’re assuming hasbro cannot compete with imports, while that may be true now, these ultimate figures may be the turning point for hasbro
You're giving these guys way too much benefit of doubt. I'm telling you, these Ultimate Marvel Legends, are going to be at best, figures with articulation schemes from the past few years, the same amount of paint, the same kind of plastic, the same vary quality in the joints, with just extra accessories. They're not suddenly going to get better plastic, change how they apply paint apps, and update how their joints work for this off shoot ML line, especially when they don't do it for what people consider their high tier products like GI Joe, which are just MLs with modern articulation schemes.
>>
>>11222104
Cont...

And despite what you retards keep parroting around here, Hasbro isn't going to lose the license. Who would Disney even want to have it anyway, Mattel? Lmao. Jada? Not big enough, too niche. NECA? Possibly, but that sounds like a terrible idea. You are being painfully naive to think that these figures be any different than what they currently put out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's shocking how some of you think this industry works and it really shows that you're just a bunch of NEETs with no real world experience.
>>
>>11221788
Is your 'source' the youtube video that was just posted? lol
>>
>>11222112
Yeah the plastic, paint apps and joint engineering just is not going to change because they would likely have to use a whole different factory even, let alone have someone else design them. I don't even get the fascination. Imports already make import quality. There is no reason for Hasbro to do so if all they will make are big names import companies make too
>>
>>11222115
Disney/Marvel could very well split up the license like WB does with DC. No one company paying the same amount for the master license, but each of multiple companies paying for respective segments. One company gets kiddie stuff, one company gets collector figures, other companies get plush/other junk/etc. The Disney master licenses have been notoriously expensive and I'd bet the drastic drop in sales/output of Legends from 2022/2023 to this year and failure of all MCU product really has Hasbro considering.

Jazwares already make some kiddie Spiderman toys and McFarlane already makes some Marvel statues, so I honestly wouldn't think it would too outside of the realm of possibility for a big shakeup to happen. McFarlane's DC license is up at the end of 2025 as of now, same time Hasbro's Marvel license is up apparently. We haven't seen news of either renewing yet. I don't think its too wild to see collector Marvel going to McFarlane, kid stuff staying at Hasbro or being split between Hasbro and Jazwares, and then Hasbro taking the DC collector lines. Maybe DC kiddie stuff would stay at Spinmaster if Hasbro keeps the kiddie Marvel segment.

I know most people hate him and take it with a grain of salt, buy Bobo Vala said on a recent 3POA podcast last week that he heard from people still at Hasbro that they put together a pitch package for WB to try to get the DC license in 2026, just in case things with Disney/Marvel go south.

unless you yourself are in the industry, you can only speculate. Who knows what the future holds, surprises occur from time to time. It would be shallow to think just because it’s highly unlikely it isn’t possible.

>Disney/Marvel could very well split up the license like WB does with DC. No one company paying the same amount for the master license, but each of multiple companies paying for respective segments.
this would be ideal. If Jada can afford it, they should definitely tackle a mvc2
>>
>>11222178
Let Jada focus on the lesser focused on properties that they are doing now. You don't see anyone doing figures for the properties they are doing, I don't want to lose that. If they got a license like Marvel or DC all their focus would shift to that and we wouldn't get things like Street Fighter, Cyberpunk, or cereal mascots, all of which are awesome.
>>
>>11222180
Those Cyberpunk figures are rough
>>
>>11222178
Jada can absolutely not afford the license a Marvel line would require, and can 100% not support the amount of output and volume they'd need to produce. Besides, if another company gets the 6" license, Jada likely would not be able to make more 6" figures even if video game based.
>>
>>11222182
What if Hasbro bought Jada off Simba Dickie Group and continued to allow design to be run by Juhn as a separate operation but with access to their resources and licences. A bit like game and film studios do? You think the parent company would ever sell them like that? I mean Hasbro's turnover is 5 times Simba's, but I don't know if they'd ever let them go.
>>
>>11222112
hasbro is simply not going to ever make import level toys, they aren't in the market to do it period, even the highest end shit they make like haslabs are more or less glorified upscaled versions of toys that belong on domestic retail shelves. If they do not do true high end even at that price point, they are not going to do it for a deluxe hulk.
>>
>>11222201
No. Why the fuck would they benefit from that? These companies aren't going to come together and form some weird, impractical relationship like that. Either one company gets the master license (Like Hasbro has now), or the license gets broken up by segment (like DC license split between McF, Spinmaster, etc)

Seriously? 2024 has had about 1/3 the number of figures compared to the past two years.

The Disney licenses are insanely expensive and Star Wars is failing way more than the Legends line is, so I bet they either forgo the master license for either Star Wars, Marvel, or both.

Pic attached is the 2024 release slate. Spiderverse retro card wave still needs to be added but is counted. About 125 figs for 2024.

2024 has had 8 (Spiderverse not on the chart), plus they had the Cap and Thunderbolts waves get pushed to next year due to the movie dates shifting. Hasbo's Legends revenue is definitely way down, but probably only due to Target and Walmart refusing to carry most of these waves. Not due to the total number of figures released.

There's a new 2025 rumor list on Marvelous with a lot of similarities to past lists, but the way each wave is broken down makes the most sense out of all the past couple rumor lists.

Especially the wave that includes comic books as accessories having almost all figures that appeared in #1 issues of their respective comics. No mention of the comic rack BAF this time.

Two Xmen waves are also listed. X-Men 97 wave 3 and another comic wave
>>
>>11222535

This lineup for the comic book accessory wave is the one that was previously said to have a comic rack as the BAF in some leak list many months ago. This lineup is tweaked from the older lists and feels much more realistic. The old lists have X Factor Cyclops and Jean on this wave, but these figures all having #1 comic appearances feel real.

https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/productdeadpool--wolverine-marvel-legends-deadpool-action-figurehsg1660/hsg1660

I don't personally care, this is going to be ordered as a gift for someone and SHE will definitely (SADLY) fucking care. Thanks in advance.

They really should've just done the moving eyeball thing like the Japanese figures do. It would've been much less trouble for everyone involved.

No way. Personally, I think the individual movable eyeballs are too much hassle for what they're worth. It's too much of a challenge to get them looking in just the right way. A lost of companies that were doing that have moved to swappable eye plates and I think those function and look much better.

In hand it looks incredible for the price I'm sure by the photos you can find something off like the scratches in the right butterfly joint but this this doesn't look like a KO to me. It's up there with the Black Suit Spiderman and Agent Venom they released.
>>
>>11224515
I know it's not a shitty as some KO's but that doesn't look super good compared to official figures. Lots of paint slop at edges of colors, unmasked head looks soft in details in the teeth/mouth and printing looks much lower resolution than official stuff. But still, $27 vs the $90 or $100 or whatever the official Mafex costs is still a decent value.

Is it the exact same size as Mafex Wolvy or is this smaller?

The torso front/back and shoulders where dark brown meets the tan or dark brown meets flesh shoulders looks the most sloppy. The boots and gloves look really clean
>>
>>11224527
It better than a Marvel legends. I know an official one that goes for 150+ will obviously look cleaner but it actually a pretty minimal increase in quality as Mafex has QC issues with paint as well. He's of course smaller than the official which is always the case but he's also Wolverine so it suits him.
>>
>>11224526
He looks awesome. I ordered mine yesterday for $24. Still waiting for it.
>>
>>11224533
Yeah the brown suit parts and the fresh parts are messy in some areas but nothing that look drastically bad. I'd even consider these close to a factor second or reject but the paints passable and the joints and feel of the figure feel really good. If you missed the original this would be a good stand in.
>>
>>11224527
>Is it the exact same size as Mafex Wolvy or is this smaller?
I was actually waiting for reviews before buying this for that exact reason since I already have both mafex versions. This one being smaller is actually really cool. Hoping their tigersrtipe has black stripes, otherwise definitely worth buying it to repaint.
I may order them off AE after all.

Why don't bootleg makers scan and upsize the sculpts so they end up the same size as the official figures after tooling and production? Simply casting and tooling the official parts so the KOs end up smaller just seems so lazy

This is the best Agent Anti Venom you can buy. 25 dollars and mogs the ML that is 70+ now but I think retailed for 39.99. It's as good as their Agent Venom copy but of course just in opposite colors and they modified the sculpt and bit. I love it. Comes with all the same accessories just in white.

I know they aren't perfect but the paint apps are very good for a 25 dollar figure including all the accessories they pack in.

Yes it's unpainted flesh color and with CT you can see more of metal part of the joint. Same with their other mafex copies. Not sure what the actual Brown suits elbow looks like (probably painted) but it's not too visible in other poses.

hardly cheaper. They're making new tooling anyway which is the time consuming and expensive part. Can it really hurt them to spend like 5 hours scanning and upsizing the parts before tooling?

So hasbro just posted the replacement eyes to my forwarding address. They told me they had no way of providing a photograph of them, but said they were correctly printed.
My forwarder wants $5 to send the envelope onward to me.
What do I do? Do I trust Hasbro just so happened to have a stock of "spare" unfucked eyes lying around, when literally EVERY packaged figure had the problem, or do I just give up and deal with permanent side-eye and save myself $5?

Probably tired of low selling items just like Target and Walmart. At this point Legends is taking a hit from all retailers and I bet we see that reflected in prices or amount of new tooling.
