$70 gorilla vs Batman and Mini Batman set
Christopher Reeve Superman preorders are getting cancelled. Check the status of your orders.
>>11261913Don´t talk to me or my son ever again
>>11261913Does this mean there could have been a $70 Joker set if he didn't include the diaries and shit?
>>11261913i thought you added that mini batman as some sort of joke but no he actually comes with ithaha
>>11261999They can't sell Page Punchers, so they have to jam them into this garbage to force them on you.
>>11261910I thought you only bought imaginext dc stuff, op?
>>11261913I can buy a Hiya Kong that isn't statueshit for $50. Who the fuck does this lisping faggot think he's kidding?
>>11262074No one is going to buy this slop either though. I can't imagine why they wasted the money on that Kong tooling. The tool would need to be huge and no one actually wants this. There are already far better Kong toys and statues out there
>>11261910It’s honestly sad how you stay up late at night just to spam the same shitty, low effort OPs as soon as the previous one hits bump limit.
>>11261954The Joker set is a Premium product made specifically for ADULTS.
>>11262188Virgins don't have lives.
>>11262338Nuh-uh!
>>11261910Blessed OP giving us new threads. Thank you.
>>11262188I wonder if he will tire of doing it
Anyone got a list of figures coming out with release dates?Would love to copy the Star Wars general's format with a list of figures up for pre-order and a list of what's been announced, but things get delayed and dropped at random so it seems impossible. You can keep bitching about threads or you can waste your time figuring out Todd's bullshit release schedule. Have fun.
>>11262526There really is no release 'schedule ' with Todd. Just like he makes new packages, lines and brand variations like Page Punchers, DC Digital, etc.
>>11262533Well, there it is then. I suppose the fag who always bitches about new threads could comb all of Todd's social media pages and sort out a list, but that would cut into the time he's spending camping here having schizo meltdowns.
>>11261916WTF??

>>11263295It's impressive how the movies managed to create worse suits every installment after getting it perfect on the first try.
>>11263436I hate how they always think they have to reinvent what came before and put their own spin on it or 'move the story forward.'
>>11263424T.
>>11263424Microwaves only cost about $50-60. Reeve Superman is going to be a $100 figure on ebay at minimum because every scalper on the planet is gangfucking this release so you're going to have to buy a duplicate of something you already bought at triple the original cost.Todd somehow always finds a way to suck the fun out of toys.
>>11263442im glad that objectively inferior batmans also have objectively inferior designs to match.

>>11263467After Power Girl what else is there to look forward to? My buddy who works at McFarlane said there might be Zatanna and Maxima of Almerac figures in the works but they'll be Collector's Edition releases.
>>11263494>is todd even slightly aware of the growing displeasure with this line? It's really interesting how fucked up the face sculpts and paint apps are >>11263219 >>11263409 compared to other lines. It feels like the design team is working in a vacuum and it's an extremely small crew that's afraid to raise concerns, that's the only way you get some of the abjectly bizarre fucking bullshit like the Task Force wave and whatever that Starfire figure was. It's hard to pin down but after you follow this line for a while you feel the influence of someone who either doesn't like DC or doesn't care about what people want, like how every figure in the Reign of the Supermen uses ugly modern redesigns. They also make really strange choices like giving DC's female sex icons giant honking bulges like Knightfall Catwoman. If there were a single straight, non-faggot person involved in any stage of the process they would have pressed the emergency stop button until that was fixed. Will be updating my Question's conspiracy board but so far the tacks and yarn point towards someone autistic, gay, and shitty being responsible for everything wrong with McFarlane toys.

what's going on here
>>11263505It's just thread culture don't worry about it.
>>11263483Zatanna won't be able to hide her diaper and it would be tough to reuse existing pieces to make her look right so they will probably fuck it up like huntress. Besides, zatanna isn't a great poser so a good looking statue would probably be better. For posable characters I don't know why they can't say copy articulation tolerances when sculpting from Jada only with their own style joints to keep from any patent infringement. The line would be a lot more tolerated if they even added boot swivels and made sure articulation like the butterfly joints worked when adding it. If it doesn't work, don't even add them and improve something else with the budget saved
>>11263500It seems very unlikely that DC is going to approve the sexy older designs, which is why mcfarlane just gives up and uses modern female designs. They have no problem putting out ancient male designs so it really feels like an approval thing. That said mcfarlane isn't innocent either because their headsculpts are often extremely miss, which is because they are likely hiring very cheap sculptors rather than better ones who would demand more money, and often their articulation design is senseless poa counting even if the articulation doesn't work due to the sculpt. Every thigh swivel should work, not just a few

I’m very much a casual toy enjoyer so I’m curious as to why you dislike this figure so much.

>>11264470Thanks for the useless info amanon
>>11264483It lets people know that you basically can't wait for price drops, even on crappy looking items. Amazon is here to make sure all prices go up, not down.
>>11264484Prices go down when there's a surplus of inventory. Todd makes so few of his figures that desirable ones will always go up, it's only the duds like Jon Kent Superboy and Max Mercury that drop to ten bucks. You're thinking prices should always drop like these things are fruit that are going to spoil and it's so innocent and precious.
Hate BatmanHate SupermanHate live action
>>11264488Before this began, prices at major retailers always either stayed at MSRP or dropped. Only recently did they realize that idiots would actually pay more than MSRP.
>>11264496Before this began, kids still played with toys. Now there's a narrow window where they'll play with dolls or trucks for a couple years then they move on to phones and tablets and watch youtube and tiktok for the rest of their lives. We're the last of a dying breed and the entire industry is shrinking and focusing more on adult collectors. Repeatedly Todd has been shown nobody wants the new52 or modern designs that's why he's focusing on iconic versions reusing older parts. New Star Wars shows are so ass that Hasbro recalls entire waves of characters while making insanely expensive Cantina playsets from New Hope.Everything new is trash, we like what we like, and that's why I just paid $100 for a classic Wonder Woman before she keeps going up. A couple months she was only a $80 figure, now she's $130 so $100 was a steal, relatively. Poison Ivy is almost at the $200 mark. It's gross, it's evil, but that's the game we're all playing and it's never going to go back to the way it was.
>>11264499The time has come for this industry to end.
>>11264504It's possible that may happen soon then you'll stuck with $100+ imports, which already seems to be financially out of reach for you.Get what you can now, it's only going to get worse.Every single day I'm thankful I picked up Action Comics 1000 for $20 at Walmart.
>>11264506>Every single day I'm thankful I picked up Action Comics 1000 for $20 at Walmart.I feel the same way about my mafex brown suit wolverine that I got for retail price. It still baffles me that this 6 inch hunk of plastic is equivalent to a ps5.
>>11264515I've gotten really lucky with being able to get everything except Wonder Woman at retail cost. This Huntress was on sale for almost half off.
Feels good to never have seriously collected Todd slop. The line sounds like an absolute chore to try and collect. Meanwhile good ol' marvel Legends rarely go out of stock within their pre order window save for a few outliers here and there. For an ML, I casually go pre order it when they go live and forget about it. Take notes Todderino.
>>11264530Pre ordering marvel legends? They shelf warm at Ollie's all the time why bother paying full price for any of it?
>>11264532Only the trash no one wants hits Ollie's. I pre order the things I know I want. If I only kinda want something I'll wait for a sale. I'm not broke enough to where $25 for a domestic figure is a big deal for me. Sorry that you're poor I guess.
>>11264506Didn't A1000 just get reissued with a cloth cape?
>>11264539Mafex are better
>>11264541Sort of. The symbol is a sticker and I've seen some misprints on ebay that are up to a quarter inch to the left. The blue is a greasy happy meal blue compared to the more subtle matte on the original. Some people love doll capes and the giant ugly seams but the sculpted cape looks a million times better. The new face paint is also cruder, thicker. The reprint in the Atomic Skull pack is closer to the newer reprint. Always check for the color of the blue on ebay, a lot of fuckers are selling the Skull version with the greasy blue as an original. If he jumps in value I'll keep him mint but right now he's kind of floundering so I'll wait and see if Todd releases movie Zod and Ursa then buy a printed Reeve head sculpt.Probably get dicked in the ass and it'll be some San Diego pack you can only buy after spending an hour getting railed in Malbolgia's glory hole booth.

>>11265019People like to say McFarlane has freedom to choose what they push. But I notice Spinmaster and other OMs with DC licenses tend to all be pushing the same things. Exploitation of Batman and Robin, Batman Forever, and BVS right now. Of course McFarlane releases a lot of figures so they put in some low effort comic stuff now too. But the main focuses are clear, and they coincide with other licensees. It's likely the licensor pulling the strings, telling them what they have to produce, in this time between movies.
>>11265019Man, if Todd's Riddler came with a suicide vest and bowler hat I would have picked it up.
>>11265044Or maybe everyone who grew up with those is in their mid 30's and early 40's so it's the perfect time to make some nostalgia bucks. >>11265019.
>>11265055No, it's actually that WB know the exact same thing you do, that now is the time to take advantage of and exploit nostalgia for Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. kinda crazy how there's one guy who throws a tantrum any time he sees a post that isn't about mcfarlane's freshest slopimaginext, microverse, retro reprints, anyone who posts about anything other than mcfarlane, they're all teaming up in his head, every post is a personal coordinated attacklike it's impossible people just enjoy dc toys and like posting about things other than the newest greasy gold label ruby platinum chase variant that just sold out in three minutesweird stuff, you know?
>>11265133I'm half convinced it's you at this point just trying to get attention.
>>11265093Does the paint poison us even now as we breathe in its fumes? Or was that only during the curing in the factory?

>>11265133They have been trained to consume. Not by their own innate desires for fun or enjoyment. Though this may have begun there. But by now they are older men you see--their innate joy of toys is long gone--and they now only consume what is rumored, hyped, given social cues to them as what is acceptable to buy as an adult male, and brought up widely in the toy adjacent media they read or watch. When McFarlane got the collector license for DC after it was split in two, they did not consider that McFarlane got the "collector" license, but rather that McFarlane got "the license" since the "collector" side is all that is marketed to adults. Spinmaster puts out its product, yes, but collectors largely ignore it, and even satirize it as toys for kids. Already they are influenced by social mores about what kinds of toys they are allowed to like. They buy into the rivalry between companies and brands like DC Multiverse and Marvel Legends and talk about it incessantly. Some just enjoy even the older toys with not so much articulation or 'realistic' sculpting, but these are targets for the average consumer of modern "collector" toys due to the mindset that their toys are more equal than kids toys.
>>11265165Safe to have on a shelf. Any 80+ temp and to those good ol forever chemicals start sweating.
>>11263926The animated figures over exaggerate the legs to be small. That pic is a good example of how they should look
>>11265093Many of the new toys still have plenty of dangers that just haven't been banned by regulators yet. PFAS and other endocrine disrupters for example of the few that are known. When some chemicals are identified as toxic, the companies just rotate those out and find new chemicals that are just as cheap to use with unknown safety, and the chase with regulation starts all over again. Instead of this nonsense, they should only be able to sell things they can prove are safe. But good luck getting that legislation passed through any legislature when they are all in someone's pocket.

>>11265194That face was modeled on Todd.
>>11265186This figure reminds me of Ryan Gosling
>>11265093citation needyoure thinking of lead which was banned way before the 90s
>>11265223NTA, but there are other toxins in vintage toys besides lead. The real regulatory hammer did not come down on toys until around 2008-2011. Anything before that is questionable, although the articles are nebulous as whether even breathing near them is dangerous or if it is just touching them and say touching food afterwards without washing your hands. Also they tend to focus on the "popular" toys rather than stuff we would like here like Legends of the Dark Knight or other stuff like that from the 90s. So it's really anyone's guess how many toxins are in any random action figure from the 90s.

>>11265223Even now we're handling toxic figures but they don't leech as badly. Customizers are getting the worse of it heating their figures up with hairdryers and boiling water. Then the dumb fucks use toxic pants and matte sprays. The safest collectors in this thread are the imaginext chads.

>>11265241Most paints I see for sale say they are water based and nontoxic and that's all I use for the little bit of customizing I do. Sprays I've always been cautious about so I don't use them. Only stuff that you apply by brush, even the sealant. I have had to heat up parts of 3-4 figures though as it's pretty much assured to put a figure back together at the torso you're going to have to get the connections somewhat pliable. The amount of times I see youtube customizers do it unnecessarily and using more heat than necessary is rather alarming though.
>>11265274Yeah most hobby supplies are safe, especially if you're sealing them. The only thing I can think of that he's talking about would be model car enamels with danger stickers on every side of the container, but even then if you let them sit for a few days and seal them it shouldn't be an issue.I see a lot of intro customization hobby videos and they use whack ass over-priced paints like Citadel washes and sprays that cost three times a can of Rustoleum or Krylon. Like what kind of fucking retard is buying those enamels with the toxic marks all over them and thinking, "Well, it's the only red paint in the world, I guess I'll just have to use it" like holy fuck at some point you have to let natural selection take its course lol
What are the essential must-haves of the DC Multiverse line? For me, it's:>Action Comics 1000 Superman>Classic Wonder Woman>Knightfall Batman

wonder woman ships tomorrowhow's your league looking?
>>11265100They're made for little kids to lose in the sandbox. Honestly I kind of miss when toys would be cheap and kind of crappy instead of over price scalper bait.
>>11265058>>11265059It's honestly sending me how they went out of their way to make the logo movie accurate, but made the belt bright yellow unlike the movie. Also the fucked up mold in general, but I guess they could only do so much for a line that didn't have real default basic figures for the heroes.
>>11265639Long legged and awkard apparently
>>11265639I gave up. All the mcfarlane figures are scaled differently and look mismatched together. I've broken everyone up into individual shelves. Just sold my wonder woman too because I realized I hate the character.

As this thread comes to a close I find myself thinking about how thankful I am I picked up AC1000 for $20 at Walmart.
>>11266324I know you're the guy who makes the new threads, anon. I know you're making a filler post so you can inch closer to making your next masterpiece.PS: AC1000 is pretty bad with those weird ass lines across the top of his biceps where they didn't bother to smooth out the sculpt, and giant ball ankles, and single jointed elbows. Now for $20 yeah I guess it isn't bad... especially when compared to abominations like >>11266289 or >>11266310>>11266321Probably something subliminal in how Todd instructed his sculptors to go with depictions of Superman, as well as Todd's own horrific depiction of father figures in Spawn.
>>11266289I'll give you guys something hiding in plain sight regarding Superman figures under McFarlane Toys. There's a reason there's a Batman Designed by Todd McFarlane and even a Wonder Woman Designed by Todd McFarlane, but no Superman Designed by Todd McFarlane, despite the fact that it'd complete the DC trinity.I just choose to look at Ghosts of Krypton Supes for a stand in for a Todd designed Superman, because it'd probably end up looking something like this. But he won't ever make one.
>>11266354I just don't wanna stay up in the middle of the night again ok?
>>11266310That's actually an okay face sculpt for an asshole Superman. But I hate that way of doing heatray eyes.
