I don't think it's too bad, but it's a far cry from Dooku or Andor. That said, I have Jod and the Jude Law likeness on it is actually pretty good. It's hard to predict who they will nail and who they will whiff on.

The problem is that digital sculpting programs produce image through a false camera lense. So the sculpt can look fine on the screen, and then when they actually get produced they can end up looking different.
The main thing is sculptors who have to work with real materials actually have to be good at what they do.

As someone that's not that into Glup Shittos it's hard for me to come up with 25, and a lot of them would be old figures that I think need another pass. My top 10:

There's probably something I'm forgetting that would take the place of something. I'm not much of a prequelfag but the old Qui-Gon was pretty terrible and as time goes on stuff like Chancellor Palpatine being absent get more glaring. A new Mace Windu to go with Sheev would be nice. Yoda too, honestly. We need updates more than C-listers in my opinion. Even Luthen is only there because I love Andor and Skarsgard's performance; it's objectively a boring choice for an action figure.

Are they ever going to show that Maul Mando from Ahsoka that was pipelined an eternity ago? I’m hoping he comes out as good as the Death Watch Mando. Probably real soon. According to YakFace's list, there's still 4 figures in the second wave of 2025 that haven't been revealed. That's supposed to ship in May so there isn't much time to reveal all that stuff unless they're waiting to do it all at Celebration in April.

The live action version has some differences, mainly in the shoulder armor and the belt, so it will most likely be a kitbash using that and the Mandalorian Fleet Commander. Hot Toys is the best reference I could find but Hasbro has all the parts they need to make this. Which is probably why it is being made at all.

When the hell is Amazon going to put the imperial hallway on sale? Most other new stuff has gone on sale. I have been holding out because I thought playsets always get marked down but maybe I should just get one at this point.

I'm brand new to Star Wars toys and action figures in general (only ever collected Lego), but I saw this figure for $7.49 on clearance. She was cute in the show and I couldn't pass her up.
Is she good? How well received is the product line? If I like her I might get more.

I doubt it's going to go on much of a sale. The Endor bunker never really went down much. They didn't produce these things in the same quantities as the Nevarro Cantina or Tantive IV sets m, so there's not as much pressure to clear the inventory space for retailers. If one's going to go on sale, it'll most likely be the Forge.

Think back to Episode 2 toys when each figure was a hit or a miss. It either went full on multiple points of articulation with accessories or just 5POA with a gimmick.

Example: 'sneak peak' Clone Trooper with 5POA versus Bespin Luke with suction-cup antenne, pull off hand, medicine capsule to cover the arm, lightsaber and a button on the back for swinging action.

well the more kid focused line is doing so badly that their basic stormtrooper is a pegwarmer, so ending tvc for something like that is not going to look good to anyone at hasbro who wants their toys to sell. for what it's worth though, I agree that the 1/18 scale line only surviving via mint-on-card collecting adults that care as much about the packaging as they do the figures is a shitty circumstance for it to be in, but it's the reality we're stuck with, because basically every single kid-focused 1/18 attempt by hasbro for the last decade and change has ended in commercial failure

It is, but the figures are still better than ever and I wouldn't change it. If the packaging were super elaborate and expensive I'd be more bothered, but it's as simple as it gets. It just looks nice.

And by my own admission I want major character updates before background fodder.
