Rukus is damn fun too. These Amszon two-packs are pretty damn solid for the price. At $40, it was only $20 each which is still $5 less retail for a Deluxe size.

What are the names of the little dudes who were roads and tiny bases that can attach to big guys like this and Skylynx? And are they hard to get now? I only collect transformers casually and I only bought Beast Wars characters back then, but I might get Star Convoy and I feel like I need something to hook up to him to reach his full potential.

Also what are the chances we get Grandus and Sky Garry?

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I already said he was Bludgeon. The other bot featured is Rukus. I got this two-pack on Amazon about three or four months ago for $40 and it was a great deal, these are both awesome toys. I highly recommend them, even at the MSRP of $50.

>Optimus Prime: Super robot protagonist who believes in the best in everyone and leads his troops through being inspiring, kind, understanding, and brave. Turns into a Mack Anthem, although his trailer is just a normal-ass trailer. No super mode or anything
>Ultra Magnus. Prime's technical "Brother." Prime trusts the shit out of him, and with good reason due to his bro's leadership qualities, but Magnus is incredibly insecure about his physical weakness, which is why he wears so many attachments. Turns into a Tractomas and combines with it to be as big as Optimus, and he has a car carrier trailer that has drones in it
>Bumblebee: Young, spirited 'bot who wants justice for their homeworld. Cheesy af, but eventually his introductory speeches become absolutely badass to coincide with his character development. Turns into a moped but eventually gets an upgrade into a motorcycle after a near-death experience
>Cliffjumper: Kind of awesome. Is playing Doom on Ultra-Nightmare IRL when he takes to the field. Terrorcon expert due to how he has a hobby of hunting them. Jeep Wrangler because that's cool
>Hot Rod: "At that awkward age" so to speak. It's like he's in cyber-puberty, complete with weird behaviors. When his "Rodimus" upgrade debuted he acted like it was a totally different person, Nutty Professor style. Turns into a Lamborghini Countach with a camper attachment that he combines with to become "Rodimus"
>Jetfire: Drunk-ass Australian hooligan who can turn into an A-10 Warthog. You may now officially panic.
>Jazz: Huge music aficionado, to the point of weaponizing it. Styled after a New Orleans type musician from the early 20th century. Transforms into a 1940 Ford Deluxe. Not even old, he just likes the vibe it has.
>Arcee: Huge soccer mom type. Represses herself constantly, turns into one of those Dodge minivans. You know the ones.
I'm an idiot

Suck slag. I'm not a tripfag. I'm just having a good time playing with my toys and talking about em. I'm not looking for (you)s or notoriety. It's just to spur on conversation. I don't give a shit if you watch a link I post, so long as people are talking toys. If you don't like it, go to twatter or retarddit where people have actual accounts that can be blocked and assholes farm for engagement instead of doing things because they want to do them.

This Bludgeon is sick as hell and lots of fun. Most definitely the best version of this mold in my opinion. These colors are awesome and the new head and chest only improve the mold. If anyone else likes the other versions better, I'm curious why. More than likely, any preference for one over the other is due to color schemes and not the alternative chest and head pieces.

He has one of the best bot modes out of all the titans, but his alt mode is really shit. It's just a fault of the design.

Man toys post 2020 are not as fun price wise as they used to be.

Stuff like this is not possible these days with current prices and how rare transformers figures are in stores.

I really wish when they came up with his new Western name, they did something like Celestial Optimus Prime instead. Star Convoy sounds cool and rolls off the tongue. Star Optimus Prime is awkward and sounds dumb. If they were going to create a new name, they should have gone all the way instead of just lazily replacing "Convoy" with "Optimus Prime" and leaving it at that.
>>
>>11307083
Transformers fans have notoriously terrible taste in mecha for some reason, like using 'looks like a Gundam' as a derogatory statement. I don't get it, since TF was my gateway to being more interested in mecha as a genre.
>>11307091
It does suck, I was never gonna use the localized name anyways, but they could have absolutely been more creative with it. Although, a benefit from having such a clunky awkward name is that any time I see someone calling him "Star Optimus Prime" I usually know I can safely disregard their opinion

Kind of ironic to be saying that in a Transformers thread, no? I think both 'gundam' being used as a pejorative by TF Fags and gundamfags being insufferable are both linked to Gundam just being a popular, entry-level mecha series.
It's kind of funny how Gundam and TF both suffer from an annoying subset of western fans that are obsessed with the series as a gritty war drama, and ignore all the silly elements or the times they dip into super robot territory(or that they're all toy commercials at the end of the day)
>>
>>11307093
>Transformers fans have notoriously terrible taste in mecha for some reason, like using 'looks like a Gundam' as a derogatory statement.
I can tolerate "80s anime transformer robots" but gundams is a big NO-NO.
gundams are way too specific. you see gundam elements and you think "YEP...IT'S GUNDAM".

gundam is a fighting-flying roman helmet and skirt wearing japanese guy made of metal with a tiny human inside.

Honestly the whole argument about Transformers vs Mecha is hilarious to me given not only did Transformers start as Mecha (Diaclone), not only did it later revisit those roots with the Master gimmicks, not only that it’s had literal hundreds of Mecha designers working on it since its inception, but the centerpiece character, Optimus Prime, was designed by the guy who would later go on to create one of the most famous Mecha series of all time, Macross, which in turn was responsible for Jetfire's initial design

Funny you make your post with Predaking, who's definitely one of the combiners who shares a lot of visual elements to your average MS design, let alone other mecha anime of the time
>Faceplate/chin combo being a Gundam staple
>The skirt design being pretty RX-78-2 coded depending on the episode of the cartoon/Headmasters
>Lion chests being a common super robot trope started with Daltanious a few years prior to
>Animal combiners in general being a tried and true thing by the time Predaking was around (Dancouga, Golion, etc)

Transformers follow a parallel path alongside other giant robot franchises, there's no discernible branching point between the two when it comes to designs. Even the franchises extremes like early Bayformers can see some parallel within the advent of 3D animation in mecha anime when they wanted to get more experimental in their designs like Zearth or any of Fafner's mechanical designs.

Whining about mecha anime influences in Transformers is dumb as fuck when Transformers itself is a mecha anime.

The new titan is basically the G1 figure with modern articulation and extra accessories. MMC's looks great in robot mode but has a terrible vehicle mode, and the GS is the GS. If you want a proper update of the original figure, the titan is the only one available.

Metroplex is interesting since what looks like knees in vehicle mode and are his actual knees are different parts.

...?
His crotch is against the ground, his thighs are swinging upward, and then his shins break in half, bend forward so his feet tuck under his knees.

Impossible for humans, sure, but also, he's not on his knees, his butt isn't in the air either.
I swear no one would care if there was just an extra panel that flipped out to cover that mid-section.
>>
>>11307139
I think he's super creative, but it was kind of retarded to have a guy with tank treads turn into a robot with tires. and it was really cool how he was so agile because he could just roll on his top wheel, but he was also WAY too big for that to matter. he was a big target.
>>
>>11307140
i remember when I was watching the younger kids at church and drawing with them and this snotty girl is like "is that a pokeyman?" and i'm like uh no.. i was drawing some kinda magical girl shit. and she just walks off sayin to her friends "the pokeyman. with the pokeychu."

look down at the cab
that's basically the shape of the cab, plus then there's this girder structure extending out to the back, and then there's more treads, like the part his arms turn into
it's just the space in between is compressed down, the upper cable thingies are reduced down to a small handle, and the big shovel is basically the same.
>>

but the lack of a hilt bugs me so much. at least have something plug into the bottom of the fist. that's a compromise i could live with. but i'd rather it just be a long peg that slides into the hand and then widens to 5mm at the top so it plugs in. like a katana with its thicker part right at the hilt.

you can't possibly think that's superior, not to mention the price point was 50 bucks back 8 years ago, which is about $65 in today's money.

Look at A) how poorly they deal with the front wheels B) the lack of articulation in the hands C) the inaccurate paintjob on the face D) the face SCULPT alone. E) the quality and complexity and number of accessories he comes with.

I think you're thrown off cause the paint they DID use on SDCC is, in typical SDCC fashion, a superior quality of paint.

But that's the only thing it has going for it.
