Sure hope we get a good TVC reveal for this Gift the Galaxy thing. My expectation is kind of high considering we got the Anakin and HTTE 3-packs during last year's campaign.

The biggest issue for me is how skinny the official one is. A lot of Black Series are skinny though, so it's a tough balance to find, I'd rather her not look huge next to Luke. This custom I found looks good, though it is still missing the shin and knee pads.

some old boomer that accidentally made the first star wars by coasting off of the work of much more talented people
pay him no mind, the franchise has only gotten better and better under disney, as proven by the numbers
>>
>>11634345
>>11634347
What's even funnier is that he's 25 in the flashbacks and 41 in the "present" so he wasn't even that old, but for some reason they tried to make him look like he's 60
If they'd tried to make him look 40 it probably would still look unconvincing but it wouldn't have been as laughably bad as what they did
>>
>>11633820
I bought the newer TVC Revan and loved him, made the mistake of going back and buying the older Darth Malak figure to put on my desk with him... holy shit is the Darth Malak figure one of the worst 3.75" figures ever made, I'm in disbelief
>>
>>11634966
the black series malak is probably my favorite figure, with the missing jaw and all. the price of the old malak is crazy for how jacked up he looks
>>
>>11634966
Yup. He looked awful even for the time. Too short and the face is horrid. Bastila looks much better and fits fine with the newer Revan.
>>
in the spirit of thanksgiving, I am thankful for these Jedi Survivor figures
>>
>>11635088
Me too. Just wish they'd make Dagan and Turgle in TVC, and finally make Bode for both scales too. Feels weird that the final boss is being neglected.

why are the non-alien faces so bad up until like 4 years ago?
>>
>>11635734
NTA but It takes the highest skill to sculpt and paint good looking proper human faces vs weird aliens, so they just photoreal it now and no human needs to be involved.
>>
>>11635734
Because of paint. Their raw sculpts were pretty good most of the time. Photoreal really has been the best innovation in mass toy production in the last decade.

I really like them as well. My only issue is, they should have just given Dagan a swappable arm, so you don't have to buy two of him. The BX should have just been part of another droid 3 pack, with KX and Droideka.
>>
>>11635864
Except I've got two Cals, several of the Bedlam Raiders droids, Merrin, Dagan Gera, plus all the various Imperial trooper types alongside Cal and Second Sister from the first game.

And just to note, the only thing this person did was increase the size using a molding technique by about 10%

So since it's a recast, using a production figure to make the mold from, it lost a little detail, since recasts are imperfect.

I agree. Even if they made it a deluxe set, I would have rather gotten swappable arms and a cap piece to cover all of his looks in his High Republic tunic. Then they could have saved his single mainline release for the look he has in the very first encounter.

Got SHF Old Ben Kenobi classic ver. in the other day. He goes quite nicely with the Black Series ANH cast. Very happy to have this lineup on my SW shelf right now. Such a classic group.
>>
>>11637602
They're in store buyers. If it wasn't in their store it doesn't exist.
>>
>>11637849
It's strange to me how the older photoreal figures are better than so many newer photoreal ones. That Farm Boy Luke and his bizarre stare and neck joint would give me nightmares staring at me from the shelf. And Leia now has multiple plastic hood attachments to try to simulate the hood when the cloth goods did it all without the need for extra accessories you have to store away when not using one. Not to mention her leg range is mostly gone now despite the higher cut they had to add in her dress, and her lifeless stare isn't as bad as Luke's but it ain't great. The only issue with the Archive ANH Leia was you had to add some matte sealer to her face to keep it from being glossy.
>>
i wasn't planning on being one of those guys who just collects jedi/ sith, but the only characters i care about getting are the remaining prequel council members
maybe some misc ayys and eu guys for variety as well
>>
>>11637939
Bounty hunters are cool and interesting to get. Ollie's tends to have the more obscure ones for 5 bucks.
>>
>>11637940
i already have the esb bounty hunter line up, the shitty gaming greats jango, and that one droid from mando s1
he's pretty neat, i'm surprised that nobody seems to care about him
>>
I don't collect SW but I saw black series RotS Anakin at Target the other day and now I kinda want to.
>>
>>11637953
The new Anakin and Obi-Wan were what got me back into the Black series. I haven't bought any in years, and even got rid of the collection I had, but the update to the articulation and faces has been pretty good. On top of that, considering all the Jedi, Sith, and Clones they're doing, I doubt they'll get around to some of these niche guys again for a long time (if ever) again, so it felt like a good time to get back in.
>>
>>11637937
Yeah, Farm Boy look looks really weird to me. It's bizarre because Han and Leia look so good in comparison. I dunno. I'm not as much of a fan of the cloth goods, at least how Hasbro tends to do them. They never lay quite right and the threadcount is always too low. The plastic looks so much better imo.
>>
>>11636366
bros I miss shit like this. Not only did you get a good bang for your buck pack but they clearly had effort put in it lke the simple christophsis cardboard background. Don't they just do cheap cardboard boxes with images of figures in black ink nowadays?
>>
>>11638031
saga collection has the most soul
>>
>>11638031
I'm so tired of the Black Series and vintage cardback. So boring.
>>
>>11638036
I with they would just finish the O96 in TVC so we can retire it. I want a new line look that won't be hindered by tiny bubbles because they can't cover the film out. But I understand they are counting on carded collector autism to basically sell 2 or 3 of each figure and most people in the older population of the customer base probably aren't going to bother starting a new line.
>>
>>11638033
I pretty much agree. It's got the classic double race track design and a good size film out that calls back to the vintage line, but the bubble is large enough to fit big characters, multiple small ones, or a single regular figure with a ton of accessories. This is one that should be visited again.

30th will also always have a special place in my heart just because that was definitely the peak of all my years in collecting.
>>
>>11638060
30th has some real weird designs and it seems like the stuff released for that line ends up holding the most value. jacen and jaina, kruhk, TFU shaak tii are all wildly expensive. i just got ahold of all the concept figures that i liked. pic rel is my favorite one
>>
>>11638043
I don't keep anything carded but it was still nice seeing a package refresh every 1-2 years. Even Black Series has a change in packaging every so often even if there's no rebrand. TVC has run its course.
>>
>>11638063
>jacen and jaina, kruhk, TFU shaak tii are all wildly expensive
That's because that wave was TRU exclusive at a time when a lot of TRU stores weren't even bothering to order new product due to a pegwarmers from the previous waves and the Saga Legends reissues
>>
>>11638071
Hasbro should force retailers who want an exclusive to order a specific amount
>>
>>11638036
>>11638064
this
i don't post on rebels cum anymore but the boomers there savaged me whenever i said the vintage cardback was played out
i actually really like the white card/comic style character art packaging that started with the roleplay lightsabers and is now on the Epic Hero series... it's what I would imagine modern 3.75 Star Wars would look like if it wasn't a hostage of nostalgia
>>
>>11638064
It would also help the modern 3.75 line stand apart from the Retro line. It probably is confusing to the average person looking at the pegs and seeing essentially the same things but one is twice as expensive.

>>11638127
I really like the way the Epic stuff looks too. The character artwork is really well done.
>>
Honestly I wouldn't mind if TVC continued as a premium version of 3.75, but then have another regular line as the standard version with 2010 era articulation and deco. I don't think every character needs ball-jointed hips and wrists and there's a ton of older figures without modern-era articulation that still hold up.
>>
>>11638190
That’s literally what I’ve been hoping Epic World of Action ends up being. The last few figures that have come out recently with the new articulation have been really good, and nice and cheap to boot. And, y’know, FUN.
>>
TVC Noob here. How bad is Luke's X Wing? I'm seeing reviews saying it's okay but there's a lot of issues with it compared to newer models like Poe's Orange one. I really love Red 5 but is it worth it? It's currently on sale for 85 and I'm thinking about it.
>>
>>11638367
I just want them to expand the characters. YakFace has the first wave of the rebrand to Action Verse with all the same things we've had plenty of on Epic; Mando, Vader, Stormtrooper, and Grogu.
>>
>>11638063
#NotMyYoda
>>
>>11638449
>rebrand to Action Verse
Another rebrand? Why does the kiddy/budget line get its name changed like twice a year lol
>>
>>11638496
I'm not sure. It went from Epic Heroes to Epic World of Action and now to Action Verse. Maybe it was just too long of a name to always type or say. I do think it's a better name since it emphasizes more of what it's about, being more about action and play, rather than TVC that is definitely more focused on collecting.
>>
Are they any big improvements to the Mace Windu in the new 2-pack, or am I fine grabbing the older Black Series? I'm getting back into the Black Series and filling in some holes in the collection.
>>
>>11638739
besides the new head, the color of the flesh and tunic is different. I think the two pack one (right) looks better
>>
>>11638747
Same, but not a big enough improvement for that price difference. If I hadn't missed the 2-pack orders, I'd be down, but fuck eBay prices. Thanks, anon.
>>
>>11638419

It's going to get too expensive in the future and are the inaccuracies somethinjg you would have noticed without a review?
>>

I've picked up:

- Bom Vimdin
- 2x Gamorrean Guards
- 2x Imperial disguise Cal Kestis
- Kanan Jarrus
- Deluxe BoBF Boba Fett
- Aurra Sing
- 2x Imperial Jetpack Trooper

- Jedi Survivor Cal, Turgle, and Skoova Stev set

>Epic Series
- N-1 Starfighter
- Chewbacca
- Stormtrooper and mech

I feel that. I was watching it like a hawk on Amazon hoping it would come down but never did. I even went on several hunts to Ross hoping to find it but mine sucks ass and never gets anything good, so I decided to just bite the bullet and get it from Pulse. And really $45 isn't a terrible price for it. It probably won't come down much more than that for a while at least. I only wanted 3 total and this will be my second one so I can hold tight for a really good sale later on. Looks good. I bought a printed Beskar pauldron for him years ago and I wanted to embed a magnet in his shoulder along with the two pauldrons so I could swap them out, but I never got around to it. I'm kind of surprised they've never gone back and done that release themselves. At least TVC got it with the Blurrg set.

I'd love to have some more media of Din in his original armor set. A game would be great, just to show what he was up to like when he worked with that gang. Make it a spiritual sequel to Bounty Hunter.

>>11641113

>>
>>11641113
I really like Dagan, he looks nice. But it's hard to get him into a lot of poses mostly because he only has one arm. It would have been nice if they included a clear stand to have his sabers floating around him or something.

As for the games, I absolutely love them. Pretty much the only Disney Star Wars content I acknowledge.

>>11641194
Well they are working on the third one. Even when a bunch of other games got cancelled, EA said they’re committed to Jedi 3. I just don't know how good it's going to be without the same director. I will be crushed if they don't stick the landing. I'm worried they will pull some bullshit like tying into the sequels or having Cal hang out with Mando, Grogu and Ahsoka. I don't want that. Feels like Mass Effect again where the main writer left after the second one which caused the third to suffer.
>>
>>11641334
I didn't know the director left. Here's hoping they were far enough along it won't be completely scrapped or ruined.
>>
>>11641355
Yeah he decided to form his own studio. But he left like right after Survivor released so he probably didn't do any work on the third one. I think he was a big part of creating the story too. I hope they had at least outlined or talked about where to go with the third so other people can pick up after him.

Why is a single SW TVC $20, $25 etc and Epic World of Action single figures manage at $6-8? Their paint is usually nearly the same, and articulation is even similar now. The gap feels like a few dollars, not nearly triple the price.

>>11641436
There is quite a bit of difference between the two. Epics are mostly unpainted and have fewer parts. TVC definitely costs more to make. But still their pricing usually doesn't make sense
>>
>>11641436
The articulation between Epic and TVC is nowhere near the same. Epic is 9POA. TVC is usually 15-17 and and have a lot more parts to assemble. The paint is also a lot more simplified. Like even on the new Stormtroopet the elbows, hips, and knees of the bodysuit are left in the white plastic base instead of being black.

Don't collect SW so had no clue what (or who) this was, but found it (and other Star War's Black Series) at a Ross, all for $7.99 - 12.99. This was originally $7.99 but it looked like someone had torn through the package trying to steal the droid or something and it has a $5.99 clearance sticker so I paid for it since I had other things I was buying or I would wouldn't have wasted time getting in line just for it.

I collect some robot type figures and would use it for that, but wouldn't mind 1-2 more. Ross didn't have any others and I don't remember seeing it at another store but DESU, I only picked this up because it was on a peg and I needed to literally move it off the peg to see the Reactions underneath, they were all packed together like sardines.

However, when I went looking it up, figuring it would already on clearance, Amazon, BBTS, or any other place that still had in it stock had it normally priced, or didn't even list (Target, EE, etc.) - guessing it's old and that's why I found it at a Ross, and I probably won't ever find another and just be stuck with this? I'm not paying $20-$30 or more for something I don't really collect (no offense intended) just to army build a random robot.

I see that there are models of this guy and even a Hot Toy and a nice looking maquette so I assume he's actually important to the Star War mythos, and I see another similar Hasbro toy but way fucking more expensive when I saw it for purchase.

tl;dr I'm just shit out of luck, right?

It looks like the hair is a separate piece on both heads. So if you were brave and skilled enough you probably could do a transplant of the default hair onto the new head. Personally I like the new hair more, since it was more of the style I used throughout most of the game.

This same figure has been re-released a few times, originally it's from 2016. Right now he's full price at all the retailers because this one's considered a current release, but you can find the earlier versions for really cheap on eBay or Mercari. The only difference between the various releases is very minor paint difference, to the point where you might not even notice unless you have them in-hand and look closely.
>>
>>11642034
He's been released like two or three times in Black Series so far. Just search "Rogue One Black Series K-2SO" and you'll find them for about $20. You likely won't find him for the same price you got him at Ross at this point. Pulse has him for $16 but unless you are already a Premium member with free shipping, it won't be worth it to you to buy it from them.

>>

>>
>>11642073
>new year, new crappy “kids” line in a new scale with the same 4 characters they always do that goes straight to Ollies
What is the point of this humiliation ritual pretty much every year as it feels like? First it was force link, then galaxy of adventures, then mission fleet, then epic heroes, then epic world of action, then mix mashers, now this. They keep getting worse. No one wants them, no one buys them, it is just a waste of time and resources. I assume it is some executive mandate that there MUST always be a dogshit Star Wars budget/kiddy line on pegs. But why do they have to refresh it constantly? Just pick one scale and aesthetic and stick to it beyond the same 4 characters
>>
>>11642082
Epic was completely fine once they started bringing it to 9POA. I feel like it could have been the perfect line to create future collectors for TVC if they had just offered a better variety of characters. They could have started throwing in real weird ones too and get cross sells from TVC collectors. I bought the Skeleton Crew figures for that reason, same with Mando's swoop bike. They didn't even give it a real chance.

It's likely one of those things where their marketing department and focus groups determined that X scale is what sells the most with Y demographic. For some reason they don't understand that Star Wars isn't a hot enough property anymore to sell on name recognition alone, 4 years olds aren't going to be asking mom to buy them a Mando like they would a Spider-man. If they'd kept it at 3.75 they could at least attract the already existing collector base and it would probably make only a marginal impact on sales to kids. If kids aren't buying at 3.75, they're not going to buy at 4-5 inches.

Why is the kama seemingly gray instead of beige? Why does the helmet look so soft/mushy as if it's removable when hasbro did such a good job on the exact same helmet as a single non-removable piece with the purge trooper? Is the shoulderpad with the 'ammo' band comically oversized or is this just a horrible angle? The extra pouches strapped to the upper arm would be behind the rifle in that image, but are they actually there or did they get forgotten? How the fuck did the aliexpress bootleg maker do a significantly better job at this months ago than hasbro is doing now? The official one got the color of the bag more correct by making it beige instead of gray, but for fuck's sake I can't even give it credit for that when it left the cylinders on the bag strap unpainted. What a fucking mess.
>>
>>11642315
The helmet isn't removeable, they confirmed it's like the latest 501st clone. The pouches are there on the arm. Also remember, these are just 3D printed prototypes.

I'm almost positive the bootleg helmet is more proportionately screen-accurate than this new official one; neither look perfect since the onscreen trooper had a lot of weathering which both the official and bootleg figures lack, but the official helmet looks vertically squished down a lot compared to how it should be, assuming that doesn't change from the prototype they're showing off.
>>
>>11642410
You know what, I thought the squared edges of the visor on the bootleg were inaccurate but I guess they aren't. The rounded edge on the new TVC might be more like the purge troopers, I think the helmets are ever so slightly different between the two

There's more to this release than I thought. Obviously the overlays and armor is new, and the hands were updated to use ball joints instead of hinges, but it looks like the legs are new as well. The knee joint is placed higher, and the thighs don't have that little bit hanging over them. I'm surprised they went back and reworked it considering how new the mold is. Hopefully the new hands fit on a future movie Mando and he'll be better able to grip the darksaber and spear.

Shit, you're right, I never noticed the purge trooper helmet had some differences but yeah I guess it is accurate to that, maybe it's the same helmet from the TVC purge trooper and I just didn't realize how it'd look in white? Confusingly the TBS purge troopers' helmets look more like the airborne helmet, with the taller overall shape and the squared visor, which is probably partly what caused me to miss the existence of these differences before now.

>>11642541
Getting the full set of purge troopers (ideally all 4 on the same body) in TVC would a fuckin dream, I only really collect 3.75" and own almost no 6" figures, but these guys were my exception because of how badly I wanted any physical representations of them. Really wish the visor and grille on the hammer trooper's helmet matched the other two, and also that the baton trooper existed in any way, but this is still better than what's currently available in 3.75", especially when we almost don't have the staff trooper "checked off" anymore with how many people would probably re-buy it on the new clone body instead of the previous skinny one. Although I suppose TBS collectors might feel the same way on that subject, with these three all being on the older pin-joint body? I dunno, these seem pretty good to me, but I also don't know what I'm missing since I don't have any newer 6" clones and likely never will.

I should qualify that "pretty good" assessment a bit, I forgot why I always left these guys in standing poses until trying to get them into something more dynamic just now, these legs are not super great to work with. Really missing the swivel at the upper knee the TVC figures have, not being able to spin the upper leg armor out of the way of the crotch is a fairly severe issue for getting into a decent kneeling pose. Still not terrible or whatever, but I'm starting to understand why they moved away from this design.
>>
>>11644694
>>11644694
I'm thinking they did not reuse the TVC purge trooper helmet because it's probably too small and ball socket is a different size for the Andor clone body.

And yeah that TBS body is really bad compared to the new ones. They are making the commander on the new body in a two pack with patrol trooper which I am looking forward to. They added the missing ammo pouches but then forgot the kama straps… there's always something baka. They also went back to the dull visor for it. I like the hammer's brighter red visor because it looks more like it's glowing and adds a nice bit of color to an otherwise pretty monochrome design

I considered just buying some of the bootleg Airborne troopers and dyeing them black to make my own. But after that cost plus then having to get the kamas and weapons off Etsy, and the time to sink into painting everything, it would be a bit more than what I normally would want to pour into just a trooper type that Hasbro SHOULD be making anyway. I think now after this reveal, there's a good chance they'll knock them out soon enough so I'm just going to wait. Especially when a third game is coming at some point (and a rumor is swirling about a big Star Wars game announcement coming soon which is either Jedi 3 or related to the KOTOR remake), there's no reason they wouldn't be able to use that as an excuse to put out a set of them.

I would imagine that, in theory, the size of the ball socket in the helmet shouldn't matter since the new body uses a double-ball neck piece, so you could just make that piece with a different-sized top ball and then still use the purge trooper head. Not sure if that actually happened or not, just seems easier than fully re-designing the whole helmet and it'd also explain why it looks like a purge trooper rather than an airborne. And yeah, I saw that new commander, seems worth the buy for actual TBS collectors, but as someone who only got these purge troopers as placeholders I'm gonna keep myself content with the commander I have and save the money for hopefully getting it in 3.75" later.

>>11644977
Yeah there's just way too many steps to turning a bootleg airborne into a purge trooper, I do not trust myself to be able to do the little white chevron details on the armor effectively, and even if I could I'd still need to conjure the pauldrons, the weapons, cut off the airborne torso straps, and also somehow get a normal non-airborne left shoulder on it.

On the subject of customs, though, since you mentioned dyeing, do you happen to know if it's possible to dye just the unpainted plastic without messing with what's painted? I've wanted to try turning the aldhani andor into a ferrix trooper for a while now, found some on clearance over the black friday weekend to work on, but ideally to do it right I'd want to avoid the mistake the TBS figure made of the whole thing being the exact same color, the armor should look very slightly brighter than the uniform as far as I can tell from stills of the show and if possible I'd love to keep the rest of the little detailing as it originally is, e.g. the silver bits on the torso and the dirt on the boots. Obviously need to create/find a resin-print of the helmet somehow too, and deal with actually painting that, but I can't really cross that bridge without having a guy to put the helmet onto first.
>>
File: bloy.png (1 MB, 1917x805)

It's harder to clearly make out in S1, but in S2 on Ghorman it's extra clear the armor's the same semi-greenish dark gray color as it is on Aldhani, just the uniform is black instead of green, which in theory makes this an easy custom to pull off, if there's a way to dye the unpainted green plastic of the uniform without damaging the paint for the armor, which seems theoretically possible but google has not been kind to me so far as everything I've been able to find so far assumes you want to strip the paint and talks about doing so first and/or adding acetone into the dye to do it for you, but isn't clear on if the dye will work on the unpainted parts without the added acetone that'd eat the paint.

>>
>>11645275
Yeah I don't understand why everyone had the mismatched thigh armor. Even after getting beskar, Din had mismatched thighs for some reason. Unironically, Mandos are the only things keeping the identity of Star Wars intact these days. I still fondly remember the days when Mandos were barely a part of pop culture and was something only nerds knew about as the lore explanation for Boba Fett's cool armor. I liked the Disney Mandos a lot at first. But they are so lame now. The "lore" with not taking off the helmets and the darksaber and all that stuff became so messy and inconsistent. Most of the armor designs and colors are kinda ugly and random too and don't evoke what the Fett armor did. After they made Boba and Din lame, I don't think people care that much about mandalorians anymore. The figures are pegwarmers/Ollie's fodder because all the Disney designs feel like a bootleg version of real Star Wars. I got some of them when they were new but now I hate having them in my collection but can’t even sell them because they are worthless and no one wants them

What a stupid take. It's made everything absolutely horrible. It never needed to happen, it's them trying to push Boba Fett, but their version, so they can claim all the royalties. It's insane.

To this day I still see people saying that they got rid of the EU so that they didn't have to pay royalties to the original authors, even though Disney immediately started reissuing those same books just with the Legends banners

It sounds like those people are confused about the situation where Disney wasn't paying royalties to several Star Wars authors after their acquisition, including Alan Dean Foster.

Legit never thought they'd do him again, I'm so happy
Also probably means we're getting a regular Geonosian soldier soon
>>
>>11648150
I'm hoping that this is setting us up for a fairly large playset of the Geonosian arena to go along with the gunship
>>
>>11648108
I feel like out of the three imperials from that set, people probably care the least about getting the snow trooper commander on a single card for army building. Would have made more sense to repack the sand or scout trooper. But both of those suck anyway so I guess it's good they didn’t and maybe they will improve them in the future lol

Veers helmet looks weird like it's too short and also missing the chin strap. I don't think the chest armor is removable like on the black series? I used to really want him in TVC but I don't think I care that much anymore.

Poggle probably means there is an arena playset coming otherwise I’m not sure it makes sense to make him over a generic geonosian warrior

Yeah I don't know if I’ll get any of these especially at $20. I think I’m okay with my saga collection Greedo too
>>
>jedi with armor
>phase 2 clone
Why do they keep doing this. They did it with Anakin and phase 2 Rex and Obi-Wan and phase 2 212th. They should all be phase 1 because the jedi armor was from early in the war. Plus we already have phase 2 212th and Wolffe, would've been a good opportunity to do versions that we don't have

A lot of people have been complaining about that choice since the reveal in Brazil. Supposedly one IG, either Brandon or Mr. Stevie said these are just prototypes and the new samples they had just received looked better. I'm willing to reserve judgement because as we've seen with some of the recent OT figures, what they show in the reveals and promo photos is often different than what the final figure is. Worst comes to worst, I'll just swap his legs with Old Ben's.

Aside from the twist with Enfys Nest, I really liked Solo. A lot of the designs in it were neat. I wish Hasbro would give us some figures in TVC of the Sabaac players like Therm Scissorpunch or the card dealer (who would also go with the Nevarro Cantina). But we still don't even have Dryden Vos or Qi'ra in the line so the chances of that happening at this point are less than 0.

>arena playset
>Nute Gunray
>young Boba
>tummy Padme
>the three arena creatures

That does seem pretty unrealistic though to get all of that… But I also feel like without all of that Poggle is kind of an unnecessary figure that no one was really asking for.

I don't think they'd bother with Poggle at all unless we were also getting some Geonosians. It's odd that he's being revealed first but my bet is that they sculpted a new Geonosian and then decided that enough of the sculpt can be reused for Poggle. He's also an easier sell than the other Separatist leaders because most of them are just cowardly businessmen in fancy robes whereas Poggle looks like a military commander and just has a more visually striking design than Nute Gunray or Passel Argente. I'd say the only other Separatist that has that visual wow factor is Wat Tambor.

>a fucking barely improved General Veers
The last general veers in this scale was from 19 years ago, and had swivel elbows and no knees. The "AT-AT Commander" in TVC was not made to look like Veers, and had hips you could barely move from how firm the skirt was, and is also 16 years old, and is horribly expensive secondhand. We have not made any approach at this character in over a decade and a half, and this one is significantly improved by having full articulation that actually works. Should it be $20? No, but the neat thing about non-essential purchases is you can wait for a sale and choose not to pay $20, and unless you think these are gonna sell out at $20, a sale will come.

He has the exact same speech pattern as a dude who was here for a while bitching about every release because it wasn't OT, but then ignoring anyone who asked which OT characters he wanted. Now that 3/4th of this wave is OT he can't use that as an excuse so he seems to have just gone for generalized bitching about the line and anyone who buys it without specifying the problem.

ngl it's a good looking figure and the new weapons are cool but I can't bring myself to put anything from that garbage on my shelf

I don't think we'll see weathered clones again. I'm sure it's due to cost cutting but I also wonder if a reason is customizers not wanting weathering so they can do it themselves.

>>11650603
For a black series figure? Interesting don't think they’ve made a stand for a figure before
>>
>>11650603
Oh that's a $20 stand right there. $40 Deluxe Grogu incoming!
>>
>>11650585
What's wrong with it?

>I don't think we'll see weathered clones again
thhey just need a touch of dry brushing or something to highlight the sculpted details more so they dont look so cheap.

Right because this old one is SO much better. Everyone loves figures with zero knee joints and swivel elbows.
>>
We don't have shit here in Albania and the shipping is too much. I just want 4Lom and Zuckuss
>>
Why did they never do retro packaging stuff for AOTC for the anniversary?

Even both clone wars shows got them

That version of Obi Wan has had the least releases and it's my favorite and I never saw it the first time.

Not everything needs janky articulation
>>
>>11650800
There is nothing "janky" about TVC's articulation
>>
>Marvel comes out swinging with more awesome shit
>Star Wars farts out some rehashes

Cool, cool, cool.
>>
>>11651009
So... More of the same? Legends is the line I collect the most of. I wish other lines would be as robust.
>>
>>11651009
Ironic considering Marvel Legends is basically rehash the line.
>>
>>11650328
Oh thank goodness. I was afraid we'd never get a Mando and Grogu in this scale.
>>
>>11651009
What characters did you want to see for Star Wars?
>>
>>11651371
nta but there are a shit load of EU characters that are left to be done. I mean it's been over 2 years since we got Malgus and we still have no one else to display with him.
>>

Thanks for answering, not sure why that other dude can't respond despite how much he bitches about Veers and Poggle
>>
>>11651385
Because you're a troll
>>
>>11650328
Whyyyyyy
>>
>>11651517
The other guy who is annoyed that Veers is taking up slots refuses to say what characters he wants instead because I'm a troll? What?
>>
Hey guys, Brandon here. Yes, the Brandon.
Hope you're ready to pay $30 for your figures mates hahahahahahaha
>>
>>11651715
Fuck you Brandon. This would have never happened on Patrick's watch

Aliexpress 3.75" Commander Thorn came in today, I can't do a proper comparison for this one since my old official Thorn came from a big cheap used lot on eBay, and as such has some paint wear and is missing the shoulder antenna, but being used isn't the cause of the helmet being tiny, or why the wings on the top are severely misaligned, or why its articulation is worse, so I'll post 'em next to each other anyway since it's more helpful than nothing. Both figures missed the rank badge he's supposed to have on his chest, but the bootleg did at least fix the color of the kama trim, which is nice.

What I can do properly, though, is some quick scenes with him, because this bootleg can pose a lot better than the old official one, so I'm gonna take advantage of it.
