Roboforce in particular kind of feels to me like it was just put together from random leftover parts, even though it does actually have a bunch of unique prints and part colors. Must be because Lego just didn't have the tech to make good looking mechs yet, so the sets all end up looking like they were put together by an enterprising 12 year old with the contents of a big bix of random bricks. Spyrius did the robot look better, mostly because the designers knew they couldn't make legs work and just gave them wheels, and even the Spyrius bots look clunky.

That's what I mean too by "normal". It's almost like we never get "playsets" anymore unless it's some $300 adult piece. I'm surprised the new Daily Bugle is $99 and it's actually a workable playset. It's enough pieces to get a working NY building to swing around to but it's also small enough that it can be displayed or taken apart to make more buildings. I don't own it but it's kinda tempting.
