How is the quality of lego sets nowadays? Rivendell is tempting me to spend several hundreds of dollars on it despite me not building any lego sets since I was twelve.
>>11721978Its definitely worse quality that in it used to be. Lighted, more translucent bricks. But that's because theyve been using clear ABS pellets and they mix them with color pellets instead of the originals having solid ABS colors. The pieces seem a bit lighter and are also produced and molded much faster than they used to be so they have little white parts where the pieces are broken off. Its still way better plastic than most Chinese shit. As long as you keep it out of direct sunlight like in front of a mirror, and in a temperature controlled room the set should last a long time.
