Turbo tank is such shit that it is apparently supposed to retire this year, like 6-12 months before the rest of the sets that released around it are supposed to retire. I imagine it'll get some heavy discounts, because I don't see them selling at all.

I feel like this almost has more to do with how Lego does everything in their power to give out genderless torsos to jive with "modern sensibilities." In nearly every case they can, they will give featureless torsos, even to the detriment of the characters. On a bit of an Indiana Jones kick at the moment. Rewatched the original films and played the Lego game which of course made me have another look at the Lego sets and I gotta say, I’m kinda disappointed. They’re just not very interesting. The 1930s vehicles are really good, but the sets themselves leave a lot to be desired. What’s even worse, is when they revived the series a few years ago and just remade a few of the older sets instead of making new ones like the Temple of Grail, Castle Brunwald, Venice, the map room, Pankot Palace etc. Also the new Indy minifig is such a fucking downgrade. The price they go for now is insane and I’ve never seen so many used sets for sale with missing stickers.

I have just brickowled chaos cola, lego laptop with a fighting video game, gyitar booo book, tattered cape and the cape with stars all for 10 euros.
I think i did pretty good?
This store also has ultra old minifigs like princess Storm and ultra agents.

I think i'm also gonna buy the dreamz spray paint truck.
The robot girl minifig is really cool as well as the cyber brain monsters.

And they told io9 that their relationship with the LEGO Group ‘helped a lot’ in driving 11389 Project Hail Mary forward, as the company finally accepted one of ‘a million invitations’ to visit the set of the movie in London.“Then we secretly cut a whole 10-minute piece to show them, and it blew them away,” Lord said. “They understood how special the movie was and how LEGO fans were going to respond to it.”

Adventurers died with the Dino Island theme. It was just garbage. The color scheme was so drab and the architecture and style was likely weren't even trying. There wasn't even a hope for the reboot after that. They totally ran out of ideas.

Cool idea. Execution was lacking. I’d argue though that as a kid at the time this was a great subtheme. Yeah it wasn’t Maya or Egypt or Nepal but it was fun. I liked all the Dinos and loved the Stego. The sets were dino island were ugly with ugly colors compared to other iterations of adventurers but very playable. But yeah I’d prefer Egypt or orient expedition. Those sets aged very well

Isn’t there only one set with any sort of building, and that’s a dilapidated research compound? Everything else is vehicles and little builds of scenery and so forth. The vehicles were pretty cool

It also has a gyro sensor, and a sensor that detects where a smart figure is relative to it. Some of the non star wars demos they did look a lot more fun desu. It's for kids though make no mistake

the issue with dino island is that it was trying to ride the wave of jp2 and jp3 instead of being it's own thing based on late victorian era interests like egypt and the amazon
