New wave of toonerslop just got revealed! What are you ordering? Previous:>>11765689
Cool, now we can have six transformers threads instead of five.
>>11768638All other threads hit image limit
Am I the only one who prefers the grumpy old man face on Cyclonus over the new one?
>>11768652sorry, i didn't realize that previous one was at 150that's not image limit, but it's one off. You could have just posted an image WITH your new thread link, butnaw naw this is fine, you did fine.I mean you used faggy language and you didn't use the pastebins or anything, but I'm not gonna quibble.>>11768653I definitely like the left better, but both of them look like a bad drawing of a good drawing.
>>11768653To me the older one just really looks like he’s mewing while crying
>>11768656You type like a fucking retarded faggot and dont have any right to criticize jesus fucking christ. And no I'm not that guy.
>>11768666If you have actual specific tips on posting etiquette, I'm listening. Do you not like capitalizing for emphasis? How do *you* emphasize? Do you maybe go oldschool and use underscores?
>>11768656I'm not even OP dude relax
>>11768648nope, coronation gear only works on ER molds. can force it on siege but it doesnt fit but doesnt work on new SS seeker
>>11768653I like this Cyclonus more than either one, honestly.
>all that IDWtranny shit in 2027's SS listings
>>11768635That new face sold me Cyclonus. I guess my Kingdom one is going to be his armada from now on.
>>11768682Pretty lame, considering the Starscream from the new mold I wonder how, if at all, they plan to get out new coronation gear.I don't suppose anyone has made a knockoff of the throne with a G2 Decepticon emblem?
>>11768686Comics really have no business in SS, the screen accuracy line. And if they want to ignore that and do it anyway, they could've pulled from legends instead of idw queers.
>>11768708Didn't they already make ones based on an unreleased video game at this point?
>>11768686The comic shit is the only interesting stuff in that leak, unless you're super jazzed by repaints and redosNautica and Fortress Maximus have been in people's wishlists for a decade or longerDrift is... ehh I can see why he's in, he's popular. Depends how Milne they get with it.
>>11768673Then pretend I said that to him.
>>11768653Nope. I came to this thread to see what people thought about this updated version. I like my original cyclonus and aside from the discoloration I see no need to replace it.
>>11768735I hope the Kingdom one goes on sale now, I might pick it up instead of the new one in that case.
>>11768652Damn...i really like the train mode of the new SS86 Astro Train but the details on the robot mode of Siege one looks great.i really fucking hate this "i have to buy new thing or feel bad ownign new thing that is not as good as the old thing" - bullshit.I didn't feel like that during CW/TR/PotP (perfect transformers era without any bs).Only after they started doing SS86 or movie inspired stuff i fully experienced this awful part of collecting transformers...At least there is a BIG difference between PotP transformers and SS86.For example i dont mind having Headmaster Gimmick Blitzwing and normal classic looking Blitzwing. But stupid shit like this: >>11768652 feels like a joke...Imagine how bad i would feel if i collected all Siege seekers and even paid for that Coronation Starscream... holy damn...
>>11768653the left one looks like chud. I feel like he would be whining about dei/woke stuff. The right one is a chad. He will slap your Optimus toy's ass.
>>11768653That's not a grumpy old man's face, that's the face of a man with a botched face lift.
>>11768685The slimmer build and larger shoulder armor really added a sense of dynamism to the design.
>>11768750It looks like the robot version of leathery skin stretched tight over a skull to me. I dig it personally
>>11768742>Imagine how bad i would feel if i collected all Siege seekers and even paid for that Coronation Starscream... holy damn...Now imagine you collected all the Classics seekers, then got all the Siege seekers, then bent over for ER seekers, and now you're lubing up for 86 seekersNot me but I know I just described more than a few people
>>11768635Cyclonus I might go for just because the Kingdom version yellows. Cliffjumper looks marginally less awful than Bumblebee but I don't want him, would rather get the ER version (or stick with my Classics CJ). Blitzwing is just the Legacy but with a deco downgrade.
Just wait for Devastation Cliffjumper.
>>11768771They wouldn't put it under the Studio Series Devastation label but yeah I'd prefer a Cliff with that mold. Maybe in Selects or dumped into a four-pack. A Devastation Gold Bug is a bit likelier. Oh wait, excuse me, "Goldfire".
DNA kit goodThank you
>>11768718>Depends how Milne they get with it.I genuinely don't understand how he ever got a following. His designs suck and his faces don't look anything like Transformers faces are meant to look. Not that he doesn't draw well, but his designs take all the worst parts of Bayformers and force them into G1 designs in the worst imaginable way.
>>11768775Not even likelier, already confirmed by leaks.
>>11768686You don't want IDW Fort Max?Nautica will prob be the Legacy Windblade/Slipstream so instant dogshitDrift is probably a new mold so hey could be interesting
>>11768780>don't look anything like Transformers faces are meant to look.Transformers have had a billion different aesthetics over the years, there's no such thing as how Transformers faces (or anything else) are "supposed to look".
>>11768782Oh, right on! So that probably means the other DLC skins are on the table.
>>11768779I went with the Origin Toys kit myself. I really like the larger shoulders and how the extra armour pieces balance the grey and white. DNA's shield and Star Saber look really good though and might pick up that weapon kit.
>>11768785There kind of is. Just because IDW went crazy with the art and FunPub would hire any retard off of tumblr, it doesn't mean there isn't a core Transformers look the toys tended to default to way before the current geewun fever the brand is going through. Roughly, the old Diaclone look, Guido Guidi, with a bit of the house style Toei picked for japanese G1.
>>11768784Looking forward to IDW Fort Max, he's one of the better IDW redesigns, and Drift being a voyager has me intrigued.
>>11768718OP is probably the type of coonsumer demanding the 1000 Bumblebees, Optimii, Megatrons, Starscreams and Soundwave variants that Hasbro is giving us.
>we get a trillion soundwaves>still no surveillance van soundwave
What're some of the best Little Guy-Formers? With the death of core class I've really been missing something in that 3-4 inch size to fiddle around with at my desk. Preferably nothing above $30-40 assuming I have to get it second hand. Doesn't have to be insanely complex but I don't really like one-step changers.
>>11768779boy that does look betterare the shoulder joints as low as they look, though?>>11768795yeah a mix and match might be the best approach.. but at this point you feel obligated to find some way of attaining the base figure without paying.
>>11768807that's not exactly an inconspicuous surveillance van
Reviewers miss-transforming toys in 2026. Desperate for those first views huh?
>>11768795I like the Arm and Leg armor and I like the big shoulders but kinda don't want them too huge
>>11768820I dont need to see any reviews made that early, imo. Better ones will show up around the time I can actually get it in hand.
>>11768653I like the new head better, but I'm not buying this mold a 4th time. It'd be nice if Hasbro fade the figure people want on the first wave
>>11768635Cyclonus I'll grab since it's a goated mold and the Kingdom one can be the Armada. Cliffjumper I might grab in person but I'm not too worried, I've got the Buzzworthy Earthrise one anyway which has a better deco.
>>11768838Maybe don't buy a toy you're not happy with the first three times? I will never understand /toy/ titans
>>11768843what's a /toy/ titans?I was fine with it before but I don't know why they didn't do a more accurate head the first time around.Or is this another anon that's gonna sperg because someone dared criticized Hasbro.
>>11768812I think warpath is fantastic. Bumblebee is a good choice and there are a ton versions to choose from. I wish I got sea spray, I think powerglide might fit the bill but it hasn't come out yet. I really enjoyed the headmaster reprints from a few years ago, they are small and come with lil pilots that also transform so it's more bang for the buck.
>>11768846>what's a /toy/ titans?I think he's trying to coin a phrase for whales
>>11768846No if anything I'm saying people should criticize them more. I think it's crazy to have three versions of a toy that you're not happy with. Id it turned out way worse than the pictures, sure, but at some point you gotta learn.
>>11768851it's a bit flattering-sounding for an insulti mean it's mildly babyish, but I can't imagine being called a titan and being sad about it.
>>11768851probably the same homo that's always trying to push "tooner"
>>11768853I was happy with it at the time, but if they were capable of doing a better head, I don't know why they couldn't have done it the first time.
>>11768848Every toy I've seen of Seaspray is adorable. I'm really into Titans Return right now so I might look into that. I really love POTP 'Comber too.
>>11768801Nothing Milne draws is any more out there than Animated, prime, or the movies. Drawing sharp noses is like the most egregious thing about his style
>>11768872Well, Prime, Animated, and the movies have more of a coherent look than, whatever the hell this is.
>>11768876To be fair to him, I don't know if you EVER see Drift's alt mode outside of the first 10% of his appearances. They're basically never relevant in Lost Light so I get why the bot mode is more stylized
>>11768876>the movies >have more of a coherent look than-shut the fuck up.
>>11768878I wasn't expecting the kibble to be capable of being rebuilt into an altmode, more that I fail to see a cohesive aesthetic along with a design with an illusion of functionality. You have clunky feet that are hard to imagine doing anything, mechanical detail strewn at random, pieces that seem to come from like four different designs, and so on. And that Drift is one of his more conservative designs. Some are just upward points vaguely pasted on a robot.>>11768879no
>>11768879This actually doesn't surprise me. You don't have the mecha knack.it's okay, most people don't. But you have to understand, we do. We can tell the difference. We thought bayformers would look terrible, and then we saw them and we understood. That's actually a solid, proper arrangement of parts. This drawing is not. It's a mess, and while it does have a few solid shapes, their assembly is pretty clunky in a big way. This artist clearly messed around with gundams but still needs practice. and I say this as someone who's done a lot of mecha designs, some absolutely flawed like this, and some that turned out great but I can't explain why.and no I'm not sharing because I made them all 15-25 years ago.
>>11768876>Prime, Animated, and the movies have more of a coherent lookAnimated, yes. For Prime, it about comparable, but just with a different aesthetic. But the movies? Not a chance. The look of those designs is an absolute train wreck.
>>11768891actually prime is easily the worst of those three, and has some of the problems of the drawing above.the issue there is they have too many thin, overlapping plates that look more like boiled leather renfaire armor. Nothing has any robustness to it. and body parts tend to be too gracile, too tapered, or just a weird fit. Just like how this guy's arms are too tiny because he's clearly gundam-inspired.
>Milne, TFPrime, and Gundam are bad mecha design because I say so>Bayverse are good mecha design because I say soAbsolutely riveting, go spill your drivel elsewhere.
Turns out he's actually a darn good toy in hand. Very solid feel, well articulated, got his gun hand and dart launcher to fiddle around with. It's a lot more fun than it should be to set him in the throne with his horns in the back.
>>11768896>bayverse hate in 2026Really?Bayverse works because there's an underlying logic to the designs. Even if Galvatron there is one of the worst and most nonsensical designs of the series, it follows the same logic of resembling realistic mechanical constructs. You see servos, cooling tubes, reactors, pipes, vents, etc. You can kind of make out what each piece does if you squint.Milne's designs don't have that.
>>11768718>>11768784Don't reply to posts that call it that, it's always just lazy bait. Notice how he doesn't say anything about the Marvel figures.>>11768876Like any TF series, Milne's designs have their hits and misses. I like his takes on the more major legacy characters (Rodimus, Megatron, Ultra Magnus), and I really like guys like Skids or Swerve.Others like Tailgate or Chromedome are decidedly more meh imo, yeah. For what it's worth, I did really love his art in the Bayformers tie-in comics, he was great there.
>>11768889>guys I'm actually like, really good at drawing mecha>No I will not show themAgain, shut the fuck up.
>>11768902>Bayverse works because there's an underlying logiclmfao
>>11768918Why isn't there none?
>>11768896gundam is amazing. but this guy doesn't know how to apply its principles properly here. he would also probably make lousy gundams.
>>11768878They appeared very rarely which is insane for the entire gimmick of the franchise, but it did happen. Hilariously, the artists used Third Party designs as a reference. It retroactively made the liberties the 3P alt modes comic accurate.
>>11768902I mean no, Galvatron does not work, but that's the point. the nanite-otrons are a rip on the people we're arguing with, who accuse bayformers of just being random metal shards because their normie brains literally cannot handle that many shapes.Everything else, yeah. I mean some of the 'knight' robot modes got a little wonky, but generally yeah, everything but the KSI bots makes sense.
>>11768918Do you really not get that -you can't see it-there's a ton of shit I can't see. But mecha is one of those that you have to have the right eye to get. I grew up on terrible, terrible western mecha, and I know what good mecha is. Things with depth and sense, and JOINT CLEARANCE.
>>11768936You're such a loser. Go be a loser on /m/.
>>11768940i'd rather be a loser that understands good mecha design than a jerk who insists if something looks terrible to him, everyone who likes it must be inferior, even if they can back up their claimsYou know what's sad, when I'm in this situation, I ASK people why they like the thing that I can't understand. like sports. and look what they do. They ree for a while, then admit they can't explain it.
>>11768943lmao so you're that dork from the other thread.
>>11768929>gundam is amazing-ly bland and samey
>I'll rip out your optics!
>>11768951>How about I just throw your ass across the room instead?
>>11768934I get that about the KSI drones and Galvatron, but I meant that you can piece together what each part in the design might do, even if the transformium shit means that they don't have a coherent transformation scheme/kibble arrangement.
>>11768949that wasn't this thread?sorry I was trying to do a callback>>11768950i mean fair. but G Gundam and Wing aren't.
>>11768954Well at least somewhat you can. but really they looked like masses of CABLES which is a whole different kind of mecha, one I don't like, more like 90s comics mecha
>>11768900Can you post some in-hand pics of him, rather than the stock photography?
>>11768950>>11768988astonishingly shit taste on display ITT
>>11769002i still like gundam even if I admit it has some sameyness.
>>11768896Don't put Milne in with good mech design, that shitty artist deserves all the scorn.
Some recent pickups, Big Convoy is much better then i thought it was going to be. Pretty happy with them overall.
Shame the Big Cannon has so much mammoth kibble on it though.

The Siege seekers are entirely different designs and molds and the tetrajet is cool. And ER/Coronation Starscream is a different mold than the new SS Thundercrack mold.I think it's ok to have different versions of the same character especially since personally I think the ER seeker mold is more fun to mess wtih than the SS version and I like the gribling detailDo people only own one version of a character at all times or something?I started collecting during Siege so I have Siege Thundercracker, ER Thundercracker, Retro movie Thundercracker, and the SS86 Thundercracker and I like them all since they're different.
>>11769079oh and Bumblebee movie Thundercracker and I preordered One Thundercracker. He always has a cool design.

Wheelie is good, cant really pose him with his Slingshot ready to fire though>>117690463rd party Big Convoy when?
>>11769084RIGHT?granted, I have my original Big Convoy and I'm happy enough with him. i GUESS i would buy a 3P more anime accurate version even though, for some reason, I just can't get into either Beast Wars anime. I should, the ingredients are there, but it doesn't spark joy. But yeah an anime version would at least feel like a different guy from the original toy, who I could say is his dimensional doppelganger..but also, if they did a 3P, they'd do recolors. and those I don't have and probably can't get the originals of, so yes please. Both blue versions and the black one, easy buys.
>>11769084Somebody has to be making a 3P silverbolt too, right? after he kinda disappointed people? And that means... the purple recolor...
>>11769097>3p that isnt G1 lolTransarts probably would've gotten around to it, but unfortunately they had a meltie over mean comments on the internet and shuttered(To be fair, their quickstrike was pretty shit and ass)

Bayverse designs are just as good looking as the rest of the franchise. Stop the hating.
>>11769178bayformers were ugly and cringe when i was a teenager and they're still ugly and cringe now
>>11769079>Do people only own one version of a character at all times or something? Not him, but a lot of times yes and I can see why. It's one thing if you're going all in on one or a few characters, but most people take a more holistic approach and collect large casts of characters. Money and display space are certainly a factor why a lot of people don't want 4 or 5 Thundercrackers (or whoever) floating around. And then if they collect other lines besides TF...>>11769081 I have just never seen this combination in the wild before, in 40 years of getting to know various nerds,And as I said in the last thread, you're extremely sheltered and have a very myopic world view. >>11769212I once had a thought for a silly photo comic where Optimus changed every panel because he had so many toys, but that was so far back it was when everyone who wasn't him only had a single new figure to their name.
>>11769178>>11769208I’ve always sat somewhere in the middle where I think the 2007 movie has pretty good designs that have a clear purpose. The Autobots are meant to be more human looking while the Decepticons are more creature looking so you can tell which is which from a glance. Their individual designs are also still very distinctive so you aren’t confusing anyone in a crowd shot. The sequels slowly start exaggerating the difference between the factions resulting in weirdly human faced Drift and Crosshairs. They also started constantly reusing models and color palettes that make it impossible to tell which Decepticons are even on screen
>>11769178bayformers SUCK
>>11769218YOU SUCK
>>11769178that toy aged spectacularly
>>11769215this is the correct stance to have, honestly. Most of the original trilogy bay designs are good if they stick to the 'humanoid autobots, creature decepticons' approach. Most of the good designs also have good toys too. The problems arise the second you hit aoe because Michael Bay was trying to get fired, so he made designs that the toy designers couldn't make into good toys in an effort to make them revolt against hasbro. Unfortunately hasbro doesn't care.
>>11769215>Their individual designs are also still very distinctive so you aren’t confusing anyone in a crowd shot.
>>11769233>Michael Bay was trying to get fired, so he made designs that the toy designers couldn't make into good toys in an effort to make them revolt against hasbro. Unfortunately hasbro doesn't care.Kek, I don't know anything about the behind the scenes lore of these movies (not into Bayformers) but that's pretty funny.
>>11769241You can’t seriously tell me that you can’t distinguish Barricade, Blackout, and Brawl when they’re right next to each other
>>11769254That anon probably only ever (if he saw them at all) watched them on a small screen from a low-bitrate pirate streaming site, or something. It's literally the only way I can understand how people can go "durr you can't make anything out, it's just a mess of shrapnel1! Xd"
>>11769178Reminder that it is the UTcucks who are the biggest Bay haters despite the fact that their series and playskool toddler toys are what caused the downfall of the franchise and plunged it into the dark ages with terrible sales and viewership until Bay saved it with the movies by reintroducing G1 to the new generation. Only TRUE Transformer fans would know this but UTcucks keep coping and seething and trying to gaslight everyone else.

>>11769169>You, who are without mercy, now plead for it? >I thought you were made of sterner stuff...
>>11768918How are we still debating this? The 2009 mold is very nearly 1:1 with lights, sounds and virtually no cheating. Hell, the engineers at takara managed to figure out most of the designs within like 2-3 yearsJust because you like something doesn't mean there isn't a logic to it.>>11769212>>11769081The fact that this general has people over 40 acting this stupid is proof enough to me that this franchise is a lost causeThe retard is right. >>11769255>"durr you can't make anything out, it's just a mess of shrapnel1! Xd"The only way you could probably make a complaint like that is if you're either pants on head retarded or being facetious. How is it that when I watched that movie at like 10 years old was I able to figure out which Decepticon was which? Are fat reddit nerds just retarded or did they just not pay attention to what's going on. Or are they just bitching because they personally don't like the designs due to not being blocky and G1.
Bayverse toys peaked here. Despite him just folding into a ball this has always been one of my favorite Optimus designs
>>11769291I think most would agree that neither extreme was true, The Transformers movie wasn't a last ditch effort, in fact it was just bumped up from it's original 2009 planned release to 2007 due to the Iraq War making the originally planned GIJoe film a bit to spicy to try. All those actions were made in the summer of 2003, Armada was still rolling out at that point and it's failure/success wasn't fully actualized yet. It was successful enough that they kept up both with Energon and then Cybertron to stop media production and roll out the Classics line for a year as the film was nearing release and they didn't want the brand to self compete with anything else just having movie toys on selves. Now that said it doesn't undo all the stupid Armada and the UT did do in terms of production and what not, but the brand was very much alive to the point that when GIJoe Movie went tits up they were confident the TF film would work just as well. >>11769301I have never experienced this and I'm in my 50s. I'm convinced it's something about not starting a family that causes that weird blur because the only friends I have that thought like that were all single and still living with parents. Everyone else the other extreme occurs and 10 years feels like 40 years ago.
>>11769305Which mold is this? I don't own a Movie Optimus and I'd like to pick up one at some point.
Is all the threads having some variant of slop in the title the new general meme?
>>11769291I know this post is bait, but the fact that there are people out there who genuinely believe this is hilarious to me
>>11769344No, just evidence of OP being an uncreative faggot desperate for the brief attention making the next thread grants him.
Only recently got into collecting transformers starting with studio Grimlock and since then grabbed Onyx, Micronus and Alchemist while they were on discount and honestly surprised at how much i like Micronus and Alchemist considering they were more of a impulse buy since they were half off.
>>11769349to be fair it's a captive audience of an internet board that is dying and needs old incels to prop up the place.
>>11769350What made you pull the trigger on a transforming toy, anon? Childhood nostalgia for the characters?
>>11769344all the threads are some variant of slop where the just make posts and claims to make this place look active.
>>11769350>A post copied from two years ago
>>11769353Well i went on a seaside day trip with some family and ended up winning a G1 mug which made me nostalgic and then i saw Grimlock on a bit of a discount on amazon and grabbed him but I also had some nostalgia for transformer toys years ago when prime was airing and I found the Soundwave toy which I've still got.
>>11769245It's pretty well known Goldner had to personally pitch AoE to Bay. That famous shot of Optimus riding Grimlock is straight from the pitch documents/art. Of course the stuff that Haslabs (the name of their defunct ideas dvision) put in there like Lockdown and Oil Slick running the Decepticons like a post-Apocalyptic motorcycle gang all got tossed out.>>11769233The only real violators were all the character related to Quintessa: Quintessa, her knights and the Infernocons.
>>11768907>For what it's worth, I did really love his art in the Bayformers tie-in comics, he was great there.Seconded. I loved his designs for Thundercracker and Flatline.
>>11769077It's to align him more closely to the Convenant of Primus design that he's based on. The AotP head isn't technically from Prima, but a random character from season 3 of G1's FFOD that got retconned into Prima that Mark for some reason used because he was probably using the wiki as reference.

>>11769319>summer of 2003, Armada was still rolling out at that point and it's failure/success wasn't fully actualized yetThat's literally a year into the line and after universe started. A line explicitly created as a way to fill the increased demand for TF products after the success of Armada.

>>11769423I'm leaning toward the left one because it matches DCS Soundwave almost perfectly.
>>11769390Armada sold better than any series before it, the high demand and money increased confidence to make the first movie actually. And then 2007 made even more, but I like both so whatever. Dont care for the rest of the bayverse though.

>>11769503> Whaaaat? So just deduct social credit points. How hard is that? The real problem is that they basically broke customers trust and sales dropped hard. Beast Wars is niche, especially in China, but it does have a dedicated enough fan base to support releases if they’re good enoughTransart released had issues and often were corrected by second releases, so it became less incentive for people to buy the first version when the second with more accurate paint would release later. But the second versions were paid off by people funding them by buying their first release. It’s a practice that’s either shady or incompetent when it means it basically presses customers to double dip on $80+ releases.
>>11769521ahhhh yeah that is douchey
I was thinking that with Deathsaurus, Dinoking, and now Liokaiser shortly on the way, I'll soon have all the Victory Decepticons, but then I remembered the two mercenaries. I do have Black Shadow, but what about Blue Bacchus? Why are Hasbro so afraid to tackle him? Black Shadow's gotten two figures in the last 15 years.
Seems like the new cyclonus removes the back thrusters that used to cover his feet in his altmode
>>11769546because his weird altmodes rule out an easy retool, and he's way too obscure to get his own mold. they could possibly do a heavy retool of springer, but only if they didn't care about being faithful to his clusterfuck vehicle modes
>>11769521I'll never not be mad they didnt get to do Tigatron and Apelinq. I was trying to get all the BW Wreckers. Around the same time I lost an auction for a Botcon Cyclonus at a good price too. And I was hoping Hasbro would give us a Glyph, Tapout, Fractal and Packrat but they never did (at least TA gave us TM1 Packrat) Now my wreckers are half finished.
>>11769546>clearly rubber/cloth details on the designWut I'm not the most familiar with obscure G1 stuff but this has to be something unique to him right
>>11769546Black Shadow has the benefit of being:a) a remold for Thunderwingb) being considered a Decepticon heavy hitter in the comics along with Sixshot and Overlord even though he got killed in his second appearance stateside.Blue Bacchus has none of that.

>>11769579Speaking of Overlord. What was the reason for Hasbro never releasing him in 1988 in America? We kids were hungry for a new Decepticon leader. And don’t tell me he was too big, because power master Optimus was released that year, and Fort Max and Scorponok were released the year before.
>>11769572Japan retooled the shells to Crossblades/Thunderwing to look more robotic but they only retooled the heads and torsos/thighs. Blue Bacchus retains the baggy suit arms of Crossblades' more human shell

Just pulled out and transformed my Armada Optimus for the first time in ages. So glad that my copy didn't get screwed with the overly tight leg flaps. Such a good figure. Can't wait for Jetfire.
>>11769559What the fuck? They just left a fucking gap there?
>>11769559wait is it a new mold?
>>11769585Hasbro was clearly losing faith in the line by then and probably figured a big Decepticon without any media tie-in besides maybe comics would sell. I think TMNT really made them reconsider how they were selling the toys. TMNT was primarily lots of cheaper releases that you could tie into more expensive ones. They start leaning on smaller toys at cheaper prices to compete. Yeah TMNT had big playsets and vehicles, but they were tied to the cartoon.
>>11769559Two steps forward, one step back, eh Hasbro?

It's honestly kind of a shame how downhill SS86 is going and how fast. It seemed like the tipping point was around the time of Megatron to Astrotrain, but these new ones are egregious. I've lost all faith in this line, sold just about my entire collection. I know that seems extreme, but Jesus Christ, they can't even get the fucking colors on Cliffjumper right. The whole point here was accuracy, right? It's so hard to buy anything because the whole business model of Transformers is getting everything "almost there" so we have to keep buying more and more perfected versions. It's such a fucking joke to collect these things when they pull shit like the Megatron colors. I think Hasbro plans figures like 2-3 years out from release, they had to know. I'm only vitriolic because I used to really enjoy where this line was headed.
>>11769752when did you realize how autistic you are?
>>11769752To add, does anyone think it's kind of retarded how they can't decide whether to use flat gray or silver and it seems to be completely random (although now shifting towards just flat gray)? Does that mean they'll re-release everyone with silver in flat gray and you get to buy a Slightly Better Version again?

>>11769781Not that guy but that doesn't sound terribly contradictory. It flopped, then later, after the bay movies, became a successNot saying that's right, but I've seen things like that a lot.
>>11769559>>11769614>>11769707Fucking embarassingChrist
>>11769754There's no real vision for what SS86 is supposed to be anymore.Used to just be functionally an extension of the chug G1 stuff, now it's supposed to be its own thing but they've hardly committed to it, especially when it's still mostly retools/redecosThe new seeker mold was supposed to start a new toon style but it still looks out of place next to everything they've revealed since except maybe Soundwave. Legacy Blitzwing is nearly as greebly as a Siege toy yet the mold is good enough for SS86 unchanged. Windcharger is still greeblier than his toon model despite being a new SS86 toy. Shockwave is now too short for the new scale. Astrotrain is a mess and in some ways is less toon accurate than the Siege toy.Shit just don't add up.
>>11769785But how can Armada even becomes a retroactive success if you can't buy the toys anymore nor watch the anime? Especially when it was 4 years ago at the time. I'm not counting the couple of reissued Armada toys repainted in the Movie toyline because that is still considered part of the Movie toyline. It would be understandable if that guy was referring to Animated or something, maybe even Cybertron perhaps where it sits right next to the first Bay Movie, but Armada was literally off the shelves and on TV by then, there's no way you could buy anything Armada related at that point and Hasbro had recorded its sales figure and moved on already.
>>11769792That's a pretty good point, anon. You'd have to stretch the definition of 'success' a lot. I haven't been following this exchange to see if that kind is fitting here.
>>11769781Armada flopped so hard that it got two sequel shows and toylines.

>>11769817I think I'm going to make it a goal to track down an RID Bruticus
>>11769820yeah that guy is creative as hell. Do I think he works? I mean it's not to my taste. but I want them to keep TRYING shit like thisI want a new toy that does to this what the new cheetor and tigatron did to that charming but silly old mold.

>>11769824He's definitely not objectively good, but he does do the satanic bringer of torture covered in weapons thing really well, so if you're into that I think you'll like him.
>>11769820Always loved this crazy dude, but never got him - I did manage to track down the Universe dude who was a homage to him, but it's not quite the same. I'd love to see him remade with modern engineering, as I think we SHOULD be able to pull off a functional Cerberus by now (and while we're at it, a modern Cybertron Scourge would be nice, too).

The most notorious is Beast Machines to 2001 Robots in Disguise. The reception and sales of BM was so bad they scrapped their future project (Transtech) and licensed with Saban to localize a show the aired last year (Car Robots) carrying over the Takara toys and mixing in other molds to have a full line in the US as a means to place hold the brand until they figured out where to take it next. Armada was controversial and seen as a step down but the sales and reception wasn't a death spiral like the suffered in 1989 or 1999
>Fall...
>>11769971>FALL!!!
>>11769918Cybertron Scourge being a dragon without real wings was a disappointment. Always felt Prime Predaking was a spiritual/ conceptual successor to him. TM2 Megatron remains probably the most involved Dragon transformer. I feel like the most ambitious beast former transformations came around 99-2001, since after 3 years the designers started pushing what they could do a little more. Ugly as the animorphs line looks, if you compare the beast modes to early BW you can tell they were pushing ways to make the altmodes more accurate and transform more. Modern beasts are either based of existing designs or one-offs. If they ever did a new, entirely beasts line I think they’d eventually get to a more involved engineering in time.
>>11769953It was controversial with existing fans*, is the important distinction that everyone forgets. Armada was extremely popular with kids from the word Go.
What's funny about CR is they had around 10 new toys and they're all among the best of their time
>>11769807>so i'm downgrading to a 'greatest hits' collection of only my favorites"Maybe, but I don't see why anyone wouldn't already do that anyway. I only buy the figures that I like, and I occasionally sell one off to make room if I'm only lukewarm on it or if a better version of the same character becomes available. (note: better does not always mean newer). But my goal was never to own an exhaustive list of every Transformers figure ever put out. To each their own, but I really don't know why people do that to themselves.>>11769812>his indian deity formkek
>*sighs* Bad enough they had me die such a stupid, needless death. Did they really have to make me fall over in such a goofy looking way after getting gutshot repeatedly?
>Excellent work, Hot Rod! Now lay there and do nothing while I finish him off!
>>11770021>>11770022This is the sort of bozo who's eating up the "apology tour" propaganda
Why do even commander classes have hollow feet. I can give jetfire a pass since it's part of how he transforms but still.
>>11769992Exactly. Armada had them doing slapdash retools of old BW product to satisfy retailer demand, on top of starting Universe 1.0 for the stuff they couldn't retool. Mini-con reissues can't happen because between Hasbro and Takara they cranked out so many of the shits they destroyed the molds. Armada was a runaway success for Hasbro.
>>11770012Not every transformer ever, but some people are teying to complete the entire G1 cartoon cast or at least the movie.
>>11770034Pity they didn't do the Rattrap mold, that'd be good to have without the chrome. I had a dream where they did though, he was grey.
I got Sunstreaker and the front end just does not want to line up. I can either tab the feet together and have a gap below the windshield or line up the windshield and heel area but leave a gap in the feet. This is actually a replacement too because on my first one, the chest/roof literally could not tab into one of the legs because either the peg hole was too small or somewhere the sculpts were misaligned. Did I just get unlucky twice or is this mold fucked?
>look at figures on eBay>later on get an offer for a discount>buy it>later get another offer on the same figure from another seller for a better discountdamn, that feeling sucks.
>>11770025You're some kinda faggot huh
>>11770050What, like 5 bucks?
>>11769992>>11770034If you want to get into the weeds of it: post Beast Machines was a runaway success it was like a New coke/Classic coke effect where everyone was tired of beasts and wanted cars and planes again, those redcos of BW figures did not sell well at all and piled up at discount stores like Big Lots and they were not made in high volume either. It is interesting however that the appetite for Beast Wars era has never reached the same as g1 in comparable time. Likely showing that most of the fanfare for Beast Wars was only due to it being the only Transformers game in town. Seems it truly was truck not munky that sold the brand.
>>11770075A monkey and a lion are pretty cool, but a big truck is the coolest. And if it's a fire truck or a truck with flames sometimes, that's just as well.
>>11770075>those redcos of BW figures did not sell well at all and piled up at discount stores like Big Lots and they were not made in high volume either. Speaking anecdotally, which we both are, I didn't see this. Some sold well, some shelfwarmed, same as any other figure.A lot of the BW updates/homages of this time were also pretty bad and it's no wonder they didn't sell. Universe Cheetor was terrible. BW10th deluxe Optimus and Megaton are a good bellwether, both the original and Cybertron version of the Optimus shelfwarmed because it looked kinda crappy, but the Megatron was a cool looking T.rex that sold well and I could barely find it.>where everyone was tired of beasts and wanted cars and planes againMore importantly, HASBRO wanted that. Hasbro dissolved Kenner in '99, and was giving execs an ultimatum to move to Rhode Island with Hasbro or lose their jobs. They knew this was a loaded choice because a lot of the Kenner guys were older with families and couldn't uproot. Aaron Archer talks about this in his podcast, he joined Hasbro just because he was younger and was single he could take the move.Company culture was such that Hasbro did not want to associate with anything from the Kenner era. Aaron was told by the Hasbro president he wanted to go back to vehicles(and even Beast Machines was attempting that too with half the line being vehicles, and even if BM succeeded, Transtech would've just been vehicles with a beast theme)Aaron talks about how whenever he tried to push for doing a BW style revival and Hasbro execs just wouldn't have it. > that the appetite for Beast Wars era has never reached the same as g1 in comparable time. Likely showing that most of the fanfare for Beast Wars was only due to it being the only Transformers game in town. If that was the case, G2 would've been a bigger success. BW was the right thing at the right time. But it's a bigger issue that 80's nostalgia dominates to this day.
>I would have waited an eternity for this...
>>11770084>It's over, Prime.
>>11770078I never got this, a lion or ferocious beast is way cooler than a basic semitruck. a truck is only as cool as what it hauls. The only time I cared about the hess truck was when it had a space shuttle or jet on it. Firetrucks are decently cool though.
>>11770035>Not every transformer ever, but some people are teying to complete the entire G1 cartoon cast or at least the movie.Ok sure, but even so just buy the good ones.A lot of you guys probably already have or had a perfectly good Cliff, or Astrotrain, or whoever, but you force yourselves to buy the new ones by default because NEW THING GOOD OLD THING BAD...except you won't actually really like the new ones, but still do it anyway because you "have to".For those who that is the case, you'll have no one to blame but yourselves.
>>11770025Are those even his pics? I've seen that background on tfw2005 many times, and I'm not convinced it's the same guy.
>>11770082>Speaking anecdotally, which we both areWe have archives that at least get a view on these things such as bwtf site and others that can give a glimps into the past. >HASBRO wanted thatSales are sales anon and the best have never done good since they have offered both. From T30 Rattrp and Waspinator rotting at Ollies and the like to Takara offerings of premium decos last years without selling out, the fans of beast have just never been there like everything else. >If that was the case, G2 would've been a bigger success.Your reasoning flawed. "All humans walk on two legs" does not mean "All things that walk on two legs are human" G2s failure was many layers of failure such as the first years being just overpriced retools of G1 toys as well as just another redressing of the syndication of the G1 show but under a new title. By the time it was making new figures the brand was already getting stomped by Power Rangers, and X-men being the flag ship toy brands after the Turtles were phasing out. Beast Wars success was in it's novelty and the fact it was actual new media, the Beast Wars show was the first new Transformers Cartoon since 1987, a full nine years later. >80's nostalgia dominates to this dayThe Joe brand is proving that wrong to a high degree, same with MOTU and even Star Wars, but all of those legacy didn't recycle the same 98 episodes from the mid 80s for 10+ years straight. They all did new things and new shows. I feel if Hasbro's Kenner made a earth based vehicle series and Mainframe did a show on that the sales would be comparable or better.
>>11770011Car Robots is interesting to me because it's like a branch of evolution that just never came to continue. The car Brothers are beast era style designed Car bots with BW Neo style transformationsThe JRX team is basically a take on the Magnaboss/Tripredacus teams with a higher budget.Gigatron is like a super Transmetal with heavily Japanese aesthetics. The Build team is a wild design for a combiner that feels like a Brave design they reworked and benefited from the boost in TF toys articulation.Fire Convoy and God Magnus continue the increasingly elaborate engineering for leaders they had and are basically late JP G1 with BW era engineering and styling, with FC very much modern and GM being more retro.Car Robots to me feels like what Macross7/Frontier is to SDFMacross, and we just never got that again. We've gotten much different aesthetics for sure, but not in the same way where it feels "evolved" from Takara's own work like CR.
>>11770120Well it was suppose to be the final chapter of Japan's Beast Wars era to dovetail into Japan's G1 lore. It fuck that all up and then sum, but that's why it had comparable design philosophy. >We've gotten much different aesthetics for sure, but not in the same way where it feels "evolved" from Takara's own work like CRSome of that is just a lack of overall vision, again, it went sideways but Takara planned out a wide vision of what it wanted from the Transformers brand, Hasbro has also been more on chasing trends/high sales. Both came at a price, both took hits for their behavior but it's why a BWll figure and a Car Robots figure have the same toy phenotype even with 5 years apart and one's a Lion and the other is a Firetruck, where as Hasbro BW Primal and Beast Machines Primal feel like totally different toyline even thought hey are both Monkeys.
>>11770116>We have archives that at least get a view on these things such as bwtf site and others that can give a glimps into the past.Any examples of this? I know BWTF and other sites like Seibertron and Tformers keep good archives but we don't really have sales figures for lines before the 2000's and closeout stores aren't the best barometer for this. Lots of movie/mainline stuff from 2009-2012 was in closeout stores when the brands sales were doing well. I don't deny that Armada certainly sold better than the beast era because it's shown in the shelf space in stores expanding.> feel if Hasbro's Kenner made a earth based vehicle series and Mainframe did a show on that the sales would be comparable or better.Given the state of CGI and Hasbro's budget at the time, it's hard to say. There's not really any CGI shows of the time with full Earth cityscapesBW probably had a higher budget than Voltron The third dimension, but that's a good example of a CGI show attempting to do more than was possibly on a TV CGI budget and failing. BW benefited that a setting for beasts can just be natural environments without having to render a ton of buildings or people. I don't think the 90's was a big time for vehicles resonating with kids in general unless they were heavily stylized. Everyone always points to Power Rangers turbo being the decline of Power Rangers because they were "just cars"
>>11769178>>11769208I don’t have a problem with bayformer designs. It’s their characterizations in the films, along with the writing and most everything else that is catastrophic.
>>11770126>BW probably had a higher budget than Voltron The third dimensionIt was higher than War Planets/Shadow Raiders(400k and episode) but not as high as Reboots(10 Million and episode). Voltron The third dimension was one of the more expensive ones clearing over one million an episode to produce.Early CGI was weird as fuck in terms of actual costs and developments.
>>11770125>BWll figure and a Car Robots figure have the same toy phenotype even with 5 years apart and one's a Lion and the other is a Firetruck, where as Hasbro BW Primal and Beast Machines Primal feel like totally different toyline even thought hey are both Monkeys. It would only have been 2 years between Lio and Fire convoy, so not even that long. Funny thing is that BM did have some JP concept artists that worked on the CR line at the same time, and I've always argued that BM sort of makes sense if you just look at the toys and not the shows through a JP lens. The BM tiys are very Eva or late 90's mecha style with their curved and sleek designs. The show just didn't properly adapt this.
>>11770150The show runner of Season 1 BM just didn't care. He even told them to ignore everything that came before, which is why most of the series is the train wreck that it is.
>>11770092Truck trailers that just unfold into a base or a turret are a waste of plastic, but if the trailer actually transforms and combines then it's 10/10.Beastformers are fine but they work best as an in-universe contrast with the vehicles, like Predaking or the dinobots or Galaxy Force jungle planet. Beast Wars is too much animal for me.
>>11770142And even Reboot could barely render it's city and new environments ever episode, and had the binomes as a way to have city extras without having to render human-like characters all the time. >>11770116>From T30 Rattrp and Waspinator rotting at Ollies I think that's another thing about BW being the right thing for the right time. Creepy/gross critters were big in the 90's, not so much now. A lot of the Maximals lean into African plains beasts that were popular in the 90's in particular but not as much now. Sometimes I think between the BW/BW II/Neo casts, you could hash out a more evergreen set of beast leads. Lio is the best choice for a beast leader, keep Rhinox and Cheetor, add Diver from BW II, Stampy and Cohrada from Neo. Add Wolfang and Polar claw too. With the Preds the dinos are just cooler than the bugs the US Preds leaned on. I would just have BW Megatron and Terrorsaur(yes I know) with the Neo preds. With Dinobot as a turncoat. Add Iguanus and some other reptiles to round out the team. I think general beasts as a series concept would sell but it'd have to be beasts that are both solid transformers and would appeal to kids today.
>>11770156Also his ideas for doing media properties is basically the same shit: make everything darker, have bad guys win (season 3 of reboot), age up the kid appeal character (with Cheetor) and make somebody evil (Rhinox in BM). His approached only worked once on Reboot, but everything else like BM and DC Comics, it backfired spectacularly. At least he didn't run TFs into the ground like he did for DC.
>>11770164LOL.There are his go to points, aren’t they?
>>11770162You have the additional problem that a kid wanting a transforming robot that's an animal wanting the animal to look like a robot too. The whole lifelike animal is actually a metal robot doesn't seem to hold with kids.
>>11770205I think the Transmetals/Cybertron beasts are still the best looking beast former aesthetic we've had and I wish we had more. the G1 style blocky beasts are fun but get very repetitive. It's another shift though, because both in America and Japan, BW sales were peak in the organic beast years apparently. I've seen 1997 cited as the peak of BW sales, but not sure where the source was. Metals did worse than the first season in Japan. There were more regular animal toys back then it felt like too.
Found Nexus todayDefinitely needs his own frame, can't be stealing Silverbolt's all the time
Doesn't look too bad on the normal side, either
>>11770262I have a feeling the early 2027 is a good portion of his limbs.Alpha BravoSky GuardBreakawayGuzzleBut I don’t see how they can sell a frame by itself.
>>11770262>>11770275He surprisingly is a really solid connection its just the default configuration with the arms bugs meIt obscures the head in a lot of angles
>>11770280I finally found perfection nearlyI need Cliffjumper in this mold already
>>11770262>>11770280Isn't the reverse torso just Mark's fan mode to make it look less pointless?
>>11770164I would fucking kill to know what the behind the scenes were like for Reboot because I've heard stories of the creator being a crazy fat Scottish guy who would throw shit and choke people out. I wonder if he ever attacked Didio. And by stories I mean this was in the fucking documentary on youtube, reboot rewind
>>11770312More than liklyThey did make peg and slots so it fits snugly together it just also still looks retarded and like a "Yea just fold him up,. That kinda looks like a chest segment"Like I see it but also it could have been so much better
>>11770315He kinda looks like a bat
I thought Nexus prime was when they all combined?
>>11770329Nexus had the Enigma of Combination and was the first Combiner. His "original" form I personally feel being his smaller normal size self but his "True" form being a bigger combination basically gathering himselfThe old TFCC exclusive was just an Energon Bruticus but supposedly the new frame planned for him is Onslaught's frame and supposedly has call backs to this with a Brawl and Vortex more than likely taken into account
>>11770334Then they need to release the Onslaught frame with one of the limbs and repainted.
>>11769983I'm a big fan of wingless dragons, but yeah I hear you.In particular, if it's this stylized, you at least should try to do something UNIQUE with the wings, like RotB Airazor.
>>11770012as hobbies go, toys are one of the easier ones to collect 'whole sets'Not on the same tier as cards or other ultra cheap items, but the next tier up. I get it. I don't share it, but I get it.
>>11770336>$200 Pulse exclusive Onslaught Frame with recolors Air Raid and Skydive for legs, Vortex for Arm and a reworked Brawl that can become an Arm>Gone in seconds>No restocks
>>11770334I love the vibrant colors on the old one, new one shouldve been closer to that
>>11770092sameI think what killed beastformers is the increasing reliance on less and less creative transformations, and while a transmetal 1 is at least a neat idea, working in some vehicle aspects, a transmetal 2's entire appeal is 'looks all asymmetrical and mecha-zombie-ish' which can only take you so faran organic beastformer is a fun challenge. can you hide all the robot parts in beast mode? a mechanical animal former has a lot more work to do to feel worthwhile as a transformer. and TM2s put in the bare minimum.
>>11770344That's best case. Realistically this brand is gonna be over in a years time.
>>11770344We’re getting repaints for all of those in one wave in early 2027:Sky Guard: Air Raid retoolSkydive: Breakaway retoolBrawl: Guzzle retoolVortex: Alpha Bravo retool
>>11770356He just kinda needed his colors a little brighter>>11770361Absolutely notThis brand is NOT dying entirely for another 8+ years even if they're eating shit nonstop >>11770362I kinda really liked CW DefensorI don't know if I'd want him in AotP
>>11769983>>11770339Scourge's shoulder spikes do a lot to fill in the visual space you expect wings to be in
Hasbro doesn't want you to remember this
>>11770367The brand is dying. People are literally jumping ship or declaring allegiance to cardbots instead of tfs now. I would never have believed it, but Hasbro and Cocks really fucked up the franchise.
>>11770393Eh, this franchise dies every 7 years or so. It’s a lot like Optimus Prime, it always comes back, even if it doesn’t make any sense
>>11770369yeah i've always, going back to like '98, drawn/seen dragons with large shoulder spikes that sort of evoke wings. Dragon Caesar kinda has that.
>>11770392Maybe he'll have better luck with Age of Evolution.
>>11770393What the fuck is a cardbot? Go shitpost somewhere else.
>>11770398Lurk more
>>11770402No retard, you advertising your latest korean roboslop does not mean Transformers is about to die.
>>11770405So you do know what they are
>>11770367Bro, we are on the heels on the next world war with a major draft in 10 countries. You'll be fucking lucky if toys on on the shelves at all next year.
>>11770413ww3 started in the 50s, it has never not been going on.I would say a larger issue is economic and infrastructural collapse. we'll be lucky to have electricity. Nothing is being maintained.
>>11770393>or declaring allegiance to cardbotOh okay you're that trollNevermind
>>11770413It's wild how all these countries are raising their recruitment/draft limits to 40yos soon. >>11770413>>11770416Or the food shortages in the western countries cause riots this fall that leads to collapse. That said even if things clear up there is no way a lot of these lines don't get reduced or put on hold, the impact of what happen with Iran won't be fully felt until September and it's going to hurt bad. So I say take a "smoke em if you got em" approach with your toy collecting at the moment.
>>11770422I mean there's no food shortages in the first world, we have ten times as much food as we need. There's just economic collapse. The food is going to waste and rotting. The government actually buys up farmers' entire stock and pays them NOT to grow more, because the alternative is our ultra-efficient modern farming practices driving food prices so low that nobody bothers being a farmer.. in essence, it should have been automated decades ago. There is zero reason to have more than minimal human involvement in agriculture, except to maintain a weird backwards, anti-capitalist economic loophole whereby the growers benefit as the value of the dollar goes -down-I wish Beast Wars had gone a bit more into the logistics of how energon shortages work, because like, what does a robot DO if power's on short supply? We know they can hibernate for millions of years. What's more, can't you make energon out of any energy source? Like literally any light or heat can be converted
>>11770422Finally, being 40 pays off.Not that we should have non-robot soldiers whatsoever. Or ever need to prolong any war, since we can just instantly win if we so chose.
>>11770425>>11770428anon:>why don't we do rational things? also anon:>I want to throw money at plastic toys that won't keep me happy
https://files.catbox.moe/ed984s.mp4The F-35 at the moment is a placeholder, I have commisioned a modder to a make windy for AC7.
>>11770430there's nothing more rational than enjoying a physical representation of a piece of art.You move its limbs, your brain understands the shape, now you can create your own art better. You can appreciate the form and movement of another person's creation (or even better, your own) which is one of the ways we relate to our own creator. To make and appreciate a thing is the highest any human can ascribe to, after love and family and all that shit. Like as hobbies go, that is the max. That and storytelling, which y'know, goes with.
>>11770434not workin for me
>>11770416So DTE claiming they have been doing upkeep and lowering the amount of downtime from the past is a fucking lie then.
>>11770413here we go....
>>11770439ok.jpg
>>11770442Either that, or the situation I was describing has been reversed since I learned about it, some 2 decades ago. I've never heard of DTE nor is Google helping, just a Detroit energy company. But it's not hard at all to observe the crumbling basically everywhere. Nothing works anymore.
>>11770441>>11770434catbox is bugging out. Retrying:https://litter.catbox.moe/v4e8cl.mp4It's still a WIP but I'm having fun making it.
>>11770446They have radio ads hyping themselves up all the time.
>>11770449Fun!! I feel like fighter jet games kinda dropped off in popularity after the 90s, I can't think of a single one since F-22 interceptor, unless you count railshooters and then basically only Starfox.Nice to see the modding spirit alive.
Good news everyone, we are getting a new Leader Class Torca>the finger on the monkey paw curlsIts a remold of Big Convoy.
>>11770458
>>11770460Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
>>11770464I do kinda want a whale-mammoth now, and I mean, Torca has never made sense since the monster part looks so little like an elephant, since it was just a stolen design that was not intended to be a fuzor, but...
>>11770449It is unrelated, but I am thinking of the Robotech game for the Xbox my uncle had. The better comparison would be the actual plane game Airforce Delta Storm.
>>11770458>>11770478I honestly think a better idea would be to do Magnaboss and then retool them as Torca (Santon), Air Hammer (Skywarp), and Bantor (Lio Junior)
>>11768902>Bayverse works because there's an underlying logic to the designslollmao
>>11770500there's quite a few reasons that's a bad idea, but I love those characters and I do want them redone, so...honestly there's zero excuse not to just do airhammer now. he's a braindead easy one, just change his hands a little. And maybe the feet or at least the thighs.
>>11770501It's there. You just can't see it.They put a ton of work into making this stuff work. Not just the parts moving around into the best configuration, and doing so in a way that looks like there's underlying mechanisms based on where the camera is pointed, but also keeping the scale consistent (until Shockwave in the third one I guess)
>>11769693>when the ozempic hits hard and starts destroying your bones
>>11770505wait is that a thing?or is it that you eat less so you aren't getting your calcium
>>11770508They are only finding out recently and still learning about it, but ozempic and other weight loss/diabeetus drugs that use GLP-1's causes loss of bone density.
>>11770503I feel like it’d still be better than Torca out of Big Convoy of all things. Which mold are you thinking for Air Hammer?
>>11770392If this guy isn't a standard retail leader they should repaint that airazor battlemaster into Cro.
>>11770512fuck, i wonder if it's hormonal. Like, loss of estrogen gives women osteoporosis as sure as loss of testosterone does for men. and fat gives you more estrogen, so>>11770514Well I guess I meant that he requires so few moving parts that he cannot possibly be that expensive to just make as a new mold. Ideally a deluxe.
>>11770285Honestly I wonder how some orange/red dye would take to the yellow with some color intensifier? You could probably instantly have a Cliffjumper that way + headswap. I've dyed yellow plastics before and the color intensifier on idye poly orange was so strong the parts came out red.
>>11770542The Mold gives me such Universe/Classics vibe so I secretly pray I get my wish eventually
>>11770542that also looks pretty easy to paint. pretty good access to all the yellow parts, no obvious joint rub that I can see. And even if it did, you could try just using red sharpie on those parts while painting the rest. nobody'll notice.>>11770559that's pretty cool proportioning but can it transform?
>>11770559glyph fags are obnoxious with their literal who
>>11770458if they manage to make it look good then I don't care, I just want a Torca that isn't gonna disintegrate if dare to transform him
>>11770584To be fair, if my favorite character was a literal repaint of the most popular character in a franchise I’d be upset every time a toy didn’t get turned into her too

>>11770673doesn't count. Your gears is Legacy gears. It's not "Transformers: The Movie" Gears release.Otherwise you could put Earthrise Sunstreaker from 5 years ago into The Movie set, which you obviously can't - you have to buy The Movie Sunstreaker....
>>11770678My autism hears what you're saying, but it's fine if it's a character they're never likely to do a studio series for. I know we got Wheeljack and Windcharger, but they at least appear fully in frame as corpses
>>11770659So you're saying the animation staff and Hasbro wrote in the script>Crowd shot: ANCIENT CYBERTRON, visible among the mechanoids we can see STRIKA and GLYPH who don't mean much now but trust us in about 15 years people are going to LOVE that they're there!
Managed to get a cheap Energon Slugslinger. You know what? This guy doesn't deserve the hate. He is a bit fiddly to transform but he looks fantastic in both modes and at least on my copy the only bit in robot mode that doesn't lock in is the shoulders, which should be fixable. Pretty poseable for his age too.

>>11770634I'm disappointed because people have to still wait a full year just to complete the guy. I could accept Hasbro going the frame combiner route, but he really should've been a complete set from the get go (sell him at a Titan class) The whole point of the Age of the Primes line was that your were getting the Primes.
