Did you pre-order any of the newest slop today?Previous:>>11768635
>>11772303the issue is that most preds' "organic parts" didn't look very organic, and depth charge didn't seem to have any at all. Some of it is probably just the show modelers, some of it is the fact that reptile and arthropod skin already looks kinda robotic (something that has always helped Preds look cool in the past), but..I'd love to see alternate TM1 versions of characters who never got theirs, or who got one in toys only, which were awkward at best.
>>11772317Preordered all three. I'm a The Moviefag, so anything related to that is a must buy. (Except Astrotrain).
>>11772317No
>>11772317That stupid tab hanging off his chestYes i know what it's for.
>>11772322There was concept art for Dinobot. Before he became a shitty mcdonalds toy. Also it was weird but made sense how only show characters became transmetals. Even ones that werent used. But then for Transmetal 2 they went back on it and have original characters, toy only characters and show characters for some reason.
>>11772322I think his chest was supposed to be that because his mecha chrome eyes that become his legs fold out to reveal a manta ray chest in normal colors. But idk
I found this too
>>11772330I'm so fucking mad we don't have him or Rampage yet.
>>11772330Yeah, his chest and waist are organic, it's more obvious on the toy.
>>11772332much as I don't love hollow body-piece-halves forming kibble, even decorative kibble, this.. is a very interesting and likeable design. Wonder how it could have actually transformed.>>11772328yeah that was odd as a fuck.>>11772330oh so he's like TM1 megatron. see I missed that entirely. if I'd had the toy of either of them, I probably would have grokked it.
Why does Blitzwing have those ridiculous giant mitts again? Until now I assumed it was a G1 toy nod, but it doesn't have them. What in the hell
>>11772340
>pre orderNoI might get the retool shockwave and cyclonusCan't say I am excited about them though.I was thinking about this when they were releasing 86 prime- like where else they can go after this when sisge/legacy molds are pretty much spot on for the mainline G1 characters. Besides some minors hiccups, there isn't much to improve anymore. And if they try to re-invent the wheels again so to speak, they probably have another Astrotrain on their hands. So are we just going into the next 10 years with constant reissues of the siege/legacy mold for the S1~3s G1 guys?So- I guess this is pretty much it for G1 collector I think
>>11772354plausible! Basically like his original toy
>>11772351Vestigial combiner parts for some Legacy Evolution evo-fusion thing that never happened.
>>11772317pre-ordered all 3 of the new guys. cliff, shockwave, and blitzwing. >>11772317Are they rebooting this or something? >>11772351He used them in the show, anon, dont you remember?also they work for Devastator which is fun
>>11772367
>>11772367>also they work for Devastator which is funThis is what I plan on using the hulk hands for. Devastator will look cool with all those finger guns, though I guess he doesn't really need them since he already has laser eyes.
>>11772387Yeah I bet you think MechaGodzilla is excessive too
>>11771952>Watch Shockwave go fucking bonkers trying to keep things under control. You don't need Dinobots to do that
I am Wreck-Gar! I am some new kind of Autobot?!
>>11772411It's so sad to see
>>11772404Those bitches!
"Hmm today anon made a new General Thread SLIGHTLY sooner than the usual scheduled routine. This sudden untimely change seems to have disrupted some local's mental schedules and OCD. This was met with proclamations about their Sexuality and wishful desires for Pain and Torment upon them"
>>11772413Yeah...I don't totally hate him, but he's so low effort. Like, would taking the spikes off the shoulders and grill really have been asking too much?
Did the generations selects cyclonus have any yellowing issues of the original release?Been waiting on one from amazon to go down in price but clearly it's not happening, but with the new one on the horizon it's about time I decide to bite the bullet, I really just like the stock deco before stickers desu
>>11772420The very first person who got one had discoloration on the hinges next to the cockpit, but that seemed to be an isolated case.
>>11772423What the fuck, reminds me of a case I read about the recent 86 thundercracker, but cheers
>Earth Key is unpainted Black/Grey>Color Detailed Velocitron Key is in the Earth Key color>Decepticon Key is Clear Purple>Vector's Universal Key is translucent Blue>Only fucking Key actually proper is the Decepticon styled Planet-X Key Sideways hadI don't have original version of the Legacy Cybertron Hot Shot but apparently he has a solid Red Key that's the Velocitron oneSo the only actual full painted Key still is Sideways and Excellions Key and only one is correct
>>11772416Got around to getting Alpha there the other day only for the left foot to be defective. The heel wouldn't fold out and didn't want to tempt breaking it. Thankfully it was from amazon and the replacement along with a $30 razorclaw coming today
>>11772438Glad the replacement process wasn't too much of a pain in the ass. That's a great price for Razorclaw too. I keep thinking about him, but I've already got Tigerhawk and I can't justify spending money on a recolor with so much shit dropping right now.
>>11772426>I don't have original version of the Legacy Cybertron Hot Shot but apparently he has a solid Red Key that's the Velocitron oneIt's actually clear yellow plastic coated with a layer of clear red paint, you can see the weirdness in this photo
>>11772442>It's actually clear yellow plastic coated with a layer of clear red paintWhat the fuck Hasbro? lmao
>>11772444It’s because the rest of the clear plastic in the mold had to be yellow for his windows, spoiler, and weapon, so they just added it to that rather than make its own separate sprue
>>11772462*correction, his spoiler is not clear plastic, I don’t know why I thought that. My point still stands otherwise
>>11772444It's something that they have been doing for a while now, if there is a need for multiple translucent colors.
>>11772317where the fuck is my cassettes pack?
>>11772469In the distant future of 2027.
>>11772469That Eject must have been the template for the Siege Rumble tooling
>>11772418>>11772411>shitty oc was more important than character from popular showI got fired for less
>>11772317Just Cyclonus. Also decided to also get Kranix. Looking forward to SS86 Alicon as I didn’t get the the first time around.
>>11772496I'll never understand why they didn’t start with the known characters' designs and then work back to make the new Junkions.
>>11772508Retardation I would say. Also I hate how easy joints can pop off from those. I hope that new Lockdown won't be -izer.
Junkions were better than the fucking fossils and rocks, who wants to buy a rock over a car
>>11772527That's why they made the rocks into cars.
>>11772527I like the rock guys design-wise, but if they were going to give them the weaponizer gimmick they shouldn't have half-assed it
>>11772508Because they were the line's gimmick toys.
>>11772496I'd rather have the oc to be honest, every single new animated toy they've made is complete shitsometimes I wonder if they're even supposed to be for actual fans of animated or just larping zoomers who missed out on the original toyline and are too poor to buy on ebay
>>11772581Eh I thought Prowl and Ratchet were fine but I have no desire to collect Prime or Bee, and I'm one of those Animated was the best show people too.
>>11772581As someone who bought all the Animated show characters released back then, even the minor ones, I see no point in buying the new ones at all. They may be better articulated, but completely miss what made these designs special by stripping them of the cartoony stylization, and the originals feel so nice in hand. Makes me remember again how much more plastic each size class had back then.
>>11772593Removing the stylization was pretty stupid
>>11772597Some people really dislike it, but they can just buy any other transformer toy if that's the case. Let the Animated fans have toys that actually look like the characters and keep what made them special. Trying to standardize uniqueness is so dumb.
DON'T LEAVE ME, SOUNDWAVE!!!
>>11772593Bees head is goofy but otherwise these are about as accurate as one could really hope for, and besides ankles they wouldnt benefit that much from modern joints. Reissue them.
>>11772237Yeah mainly just the gimmicks, though I wouldn't be surprised if Galvatron was a halfway done concept they changed the veneer of to work with the more organic BW style. He's very brick-y in a way the others aren't. >>11772290Yeah, Lio was in part designed to be a whole different design from the Brave style lion chests, so given that and his body being closer to the BW style he was likely conceived as a BW figure. But I think things like the spinning lion mane and flipout weapons came from unused concepts. And it just comes from how both Hasbro and Takara and the toy industry in general used to be like. There used to be a role in toy companies that was just engineering gimmicks that could be applied to different toys before the shell was even made to put the gimmick around. Aaron Archer speaks fondly of a Kenner employee named Ham Woodhouse who's role was basically to make concepts like that, which would then be applied to figures. So, for example, a big claw mechanism or a disk launcher, those would be designed and then the toy designers would see if it would fit as part of a Batwing toy or a mantaray transformer. The older guys at Takara were hyped by Archer wanting to use the gimmicks in Armada through Cybertron, new guard did seem to tire of it in Takara by Classics, since they outright commented they came out so good because they had no set gimmicks to implement.
>>11772444Bri I had mines gun handle peg break off in hand with when I tried to put it in his hand just last week. Hadn't touched the thing in months before that happened. Don't like clear plastic and kind of fear the same thing is going to happen to my 86 Thundercracker down the line since the blasters are just painted clear plastic for some dumb reason
Clear plastic just shouldnt be used for hinges and shit
>>11772608>Reissue them.I'm not sure those deluxes fit in today's VOYAGER budget. Apply that to each subsequent size class.
Reissue? Nah, Takara exclusive retools of the same molds imported for $100 each.
>>11772411>>11772418I love junkions so every addition is amazing.Fuck nomie boomers who hate junkions.Fuck retarded zoomers who have no interest in junkions.Junkions are the best.
>>11772621I like G1 Junkions
>>11772621>Junkions are the best.Junkions are trash dude. Literally.
>>11772625Not a single Classics Junkion in the bunch
Classics and Cybertron were the best of that decade, what a time
>>11772296I seriously want to know which designer at Hasbro/Takara is obsessed with making Optimus Prime associated with lions>Action Master Optimus's concept art gives him a lion mask>Ginrai (PM OP) is rebuilt as Victory Leo>BW Optimus has several designs that transform into a Lion (unique mold, Cheetor retool, McDonald toy, and even Under-3)>Leobreaker is designed to work with Cybertron OptimusI get it’s because he’s the leader, but it’s just really funny how often it happens
>>11772675Well aktually...Leobreaker is a Liger in Japan.
>>11772675I believe there's a specific Takara designer who was pushing for that who was involved in Lio Convoy's development, not sure of the exact name but I remember hearing that he was pushing for a lion leader
>>11772604>As you command, Megatron...
>>11772701>Oh Primus, why is this thing so goddamn heavy?!
>>11772693he's one lion coded liger
>>11772723Yep, that's how it always was
>>11772593I keep asking why people want new CHUG versions of these guys. Basically anything after Armada is pointless. The new figures just don't have the budget to match what came before. You're getting, what? ankle tilts. Just buy the old figures on Ebay.
>>11772527The rocks fucking ruled and I will die on that hill. I’m still sad about Shard never getting a retool or at least a redeco. Junkions were also fantastic, but I’m very glad we got Axelgrease/Lockdown/Road Pig to break up their shared colour palette.>>11772539This is true though; their “weaponiser” potential sucked. Thankfully their general modularity made up for it (at least to me).>>11772593I collected Animated back at uni and still love those toys, but I love Prowl and Prime in their own right (Motormaster and Chromia were a great bonus to their existing too). Also we finally got a Wasp, which made me very happy.
>>11772725They could definitely improve on the Prime toys if they actually tried to do them in style, but they won't so lol. Most Cybertron stuff could be improved as well but the Optimus would need commander class.
>>11772724
>>11772732They COULD improve on all the figures but they won't because budgets aren't what they used to be.CHUGs make sense for the early figures because they were such primitive bricks that articulation and better proportions is a large step up. As we moved into lines from 2000 on, those figures already have anything a CHUG figure can offer. Is there any CHUG doing a Prime guy, and Animated guy, a Cybertron guy, that haven't been disappointing?
>>11772737Override from TF Cybertron
>>11772737They should just stick to G1/G2 updates, there's plenty left to do. I already have Prime Arcee, I don't need to buy an inferior one.
>>11772742Doesn't have her key gimmick
>time traveler moves a chair>the beam robo is chosen as the decepticon leader and written with megatrons personality, and the gun robo is just some obscure japan toy
>>11772750CHUG figure when?
>>11772747They weren't gonna do a spring gimmick but you can recreate it if you wish. Legacy Override is a big upgrade overall.
>>11772750I always love this era and the era between G2 and BW because there is so much developmental history that would have permanently changed Transformers both subtly and exponentially. One example is that Blitzwing and Astrotrain were originally planned to be Autobots
>>11772757The could've, at least, included the key, even if it didn't do anything but plug in.
The Eagle has landed! Not going to have a whole lot to say about the mold itself, given I've reviewed a bunch of different variants of the Kingdom Airazor mold over the years at this point, so I'll keep it brief. My Star Eagle came with a slight misassembly of her right wing - the tab that's supposed to plug into her back when making her wings "shrink" in robot mode was under the wing instead of behind it, keeping her from closing it. Fortunately, it was easy enough to pop the wing off and reattach it properly. Another thing to note is that her paint is a lot thicker in-hand than it looked in the promo pics and is a bit...tacky. Not tacky in a "gaudy" sense, but rather in a "this paint was applied so thickly that it hasn't quite dried all the way yet" sense - her shoulders and guns in particular still feel a bit sticky, which I've never seen in a toy right out of the box before, and I'm a little scared of how easy it feels like it'll scratch if I'm not careful with it. I do love the colors, though - the red is a nice, shiny, metallic color, and the dark blue looks fantastic (even if it doesn't match the lighter blue on her at all). I do wish there was more red on her in general, but I happen to have the exact same shade of metallic red on-hand, so I might consider adding a bit to her wings later.
>>11772769"Eagle" mode. As this is the original Kingdom Airazor version of the mold, her legs don't fold up as far as Filch's or either Rath Prime's. The bird head is still too small, but that's an issue with every iteration of the Airazor mold in general and not Star Eagle specifically. Again, she really needs more red on her, but that pearly-blue plastic used for her non-painted parts is quite lovely.
>>11772770Her with a bunch of her moldmates (Golden Disk Terrorsaur and red Rathalos Prime present but not pictured due to me not having enough room for them in the shot) - as much as I've complained about the Kingdom Airazor mold (and the Terrorsaur variant), I seem to have ended up with almost every version of the mold aside from Skywarp/Silverbolt and the Premium Finish versions of Terrorsaur and Airazor. Anyway, blue birb is cool - I'm totally going to headcanon her as future Blue Bolts, even if that form was supposed to use the Skywarp head.
>>11772757It fucks me up that this Nitro Convoy is STILL the only objective improvement over the original. Every single one of the other modern figures have some weird subjective or objective drawback, usually like weird proportions - which is so weird especially when Nitro Convoy's new figure has MORE accurate proportions to the show than the original figure.
>>11772799Override is pretty great. I'll be honest though I have Cybertron Hotshot and Starscream and I like them both quite a lot. Starscream especially, he's so damn expressive.
>>11772799I actually really like Starscream but he could've used more paint.
>>11772462>>11772464Makes sense actually. I keep forgetting they do stuff that way now>>11772615At least then you can pop it out from the hand underneath and get a nicer gun>>11772469>SS86 Rumble reissue never>New one won't color match SS86 FrenzyI hate this company honestly>>11772757One of the rare actually good new versions
They should've downscaled Metroplex (or Megalo if you prefer) to 19 inches and just included the minicon. He's already so large, forget being slightly larger and just finish the set. IMO thats the only big fuckup with the Cybertron remakes so far, everyone else is acceptable really.
>>11772803>>11772821I wish I enjoyed Starscream more, but I ended up selling him. I dunno man, where's his big exaggerated wings and nosecone penits? He's very expressive, but his base design got too toned down for me - he just doesn't have the glamour-factor of the original.
>>11772799>It fucks me up that this Nitro Convoy is STILL the only objective improvement over the original. Every single one of the other modern figures have some weird subjective or objective drawbackI'd argue that Legacy Nitro Convoy's vehicle mode proportions are messed up. The placement of the cockpit specially, it isn't supposed to have that much hood in front of it.
>>11772420Not a common problem, but almost all of them had incredibly loose arm joints.
>Replace beloved legends size class with Micromasters>Don't make any of the ones with actually interesting transformations>Don't complete a single team>Introduce the stupid half-vehicle micromasters to an already struggling price point>Don't even get that gimmick right>Don't introduce any playsets for them (the entire point of making them tiny in the first place) until the NEXT TOYLINE>Make them a size class too small to actually look good with micromasters.>Give them the least tooling budget of any iteration of their gimmick>Their partner micromasters were only released in a store-exclusive 10-pack from a year prior. And that's why we now get to jump through hoops to get minicons!
>>11772757Just don't show the alt mode.
>>11772612when you puit it that way, it's less infuriating
>>11772799Cybertron Starscream is nothing but improvement. That original toy was a dumpster.
>>11772769>My Star Eagle came with a slight misassembly of her right wing - the tab that's supposed to plug into her back when making her wings "shrink" in robot mode was under the wing instead of behind it, keeping her from closing it. Fortunately, it was easy enough to pop the wing off and reattach it properly.I haven't gotten a single version of this mold, including both terrorsaurs, that didn't have this issue. it's just how they put it in the packaging. it pops back into place with a little force.also yeah that paint looks REALLY sticky. huh.I too have gotten every version of molds I don't love, but always at a discount.. this will be my first fullpriced one since kingdom airazor and the limited terrorsaur
>>11772733>Go-Bot cartoon designs with shadingTruly the most cursed of all things.
>>11772732>Optimus would need commander classWhy do you retards keep pushing this. It's a simpler than average truckformer with a backpack.
>>11772874I feel like a lot of people are mixing him up with Energon Optimus. Either that or they just want him to be really big
>>11772874I dont think modern leader can pull this off properly + there's a lot of possible extras for him to fill out a Commander box. If they can do Transmetal II Megatron they could do Cybertron Megatron, but Prime is just beyond that.
>>11772874We've literally seen them try this Optimus as a Leader and it doesn't work.
>>11772889Yeah and I'm sure it being a retool of a character that looks nothing like him had absolutely nothing to do with that. You people are completed fucking morons.
>>11772890>Optimus Prime looks nothing like Optimus Prime
>>11772877He ought to be much bigger than some commanders we've already got
>>11772891Yes. Name reuse doesn't make them identical.
>>11772891What are you even saying, Galaxy Upgrade was retooled from Ultra Magnus not an Optimus. I still doubt leader is enough but not because of Siege.
>>11772835How did they miss the opportunity to sell that separately as a scout class?
>>11772941>Have a core class rock. Drill Bit? Uh...They should've tied in Leader 1 with the Megatron release too but they hate easy money combos
>>11772870This guy? What was wrong with him?
>>11772835>>11772956The missing minicon isn't even the most retarded thing the new Megalo did. It's that his digging wheel doesn't split open to be the axe. Literally two joints.
>>11772966>sowwy, not in the budget
>>11772965You're looking at all the articulation it has. Shit proportions on top of it, a garbage vehicle mode with exposed head, it's just terrible from top to bottom.
>>11772900Eh, that's a bit of a bad example since technically legacy starscream is oversized. Base Optimus is the same size as vector prime. Starscream should be way closer to hot shot than he is to vector prime. Galaxy force was weird in that I brought a lot of the voyager and ultra bots a lot closer in size to the deluxe bots. Some like Vector Prime kept their height.
>>11772968>a garbage vehicle mode with exposed headdoesn't the new one do the same thing?
>>11772965What the hell is this
>>11772426I hate these baby keys. I would have rather they not included them and just made slots that fit the originals like on override.
Reminder that they fit Override on half a voyager's tooling but still charged full voyager price for her. That entire subline deserved the clearance death it got.
>>11772983It got full tooling, it just only got 4 plastic molds for said tooling. Which thankfully worked out.
>>11772987>4 plastic molds for said toolingAka a deluxe's tooling budget. What she should've been sold as.
>>11772993Number of plastic molds used isnt what determines class, amount of plastic and overall parts used is. 86 Ratchet uses 4 plastic colors and that's all he needed.
>>11772981They could have been a little bigger but also genuinely do wish they had more effortIt sucks we really have like 2 Keys tops that are rightIf they stick to this and we DO get a Haslab Primus then they will FOREVER get dogged on if it includes an Omega Lock and 4 keys and they're NOT full proper painted and detailed
So got my new $30 razorclaw and replacement Alpha Trion today and looking at Razorclaw and I can't help but think it might make for a good remold for Polar Claw. Remove the tail feathers or do something else with them, maybe redo the wings as the bat buddy he came with and beef up the beast hind legs and a few other changes and the beast head reminds me more of a bear
>>11773043as a guy with no attachment to that era of the franchise, the cyber keys always seemed laughably huge to me, very toyish.this >>11772426 does look too small, though. now it's the other kind of toyish, when there's a pointlessly tiny accessory like the teensy-tinesy matrix included with RotB Primal that doesn't even go anywhere or look right being held.I feel like a good rule of thumb is 'at least the size of a quarter, but no bigger than a nilla wafer'
>>11773063I hate how right you are.I also hate that I got a discounted one too but it was a guy reselling a contest prize, and I looked up the contest and the guy was like "pretty sure all the parts are in there" and it turns out his forearm gun was missing.
>>11772420>Did the generations selects cyclonus have any yellowing issues of the original releaseAll the cyclonus, soundwave and even some other figures have them. It's hasbro being cheap fucks and using a shit factory in Vietnam. They know the issue but won't do anything about it.Their more than happy to fuck customers over charging 100+ for a voyager now.If they want people to drop this amount of money then fix the fucking problems! No one wants a soundwave were the grey turns brown after a few months. Same with cyclonus and others. Yet you'll get idiots paying for Haslab trash
>>11773063someone needs to go back in time and stop hasbro from releasing CW Silverbolt
>>11772978Don't make fun of Starscream's shouldussy.
>>11773066Half size of the original Cybertron Keys would be perfect it feels
>>11772976>doesn't the new one do the same thing?Nope. His head is completely concealed - it rotates all the way around and has the rear of the jet close over it. The underside of the head has a sculpted box thing that ends up there instead that kinda-sorta mimics it at a glance to keep the appearance similar to the original without it looking as stupid.
>>11772870>>11772968I think he looks awesome, and having less articulation doesn't change that. New figure has such spindly limbs that he looks like a stick figure, so idc how much more poseable he is. He doesn't look as chunky, he looks like a twink cosplaying as Starscream. Also imagine looking at that altmode and thinking it isn't the coolest thing ever. Lmaoing @ ur lyfe
>>11773105that is some prime cake-having-and-eating-too.

>>11773067Have a iffy AI job as proof of concept
I got 86 megatron the other and hes pretty decent but my god do his hands suck, they feel so stick to pose and move around and its hard to make a fist with them. Those newbee guys need to sell the hands they made for the killing arm kit, because they feel ten times better than what hasbro is giving optiums and megatron.
>>11773184Man I butchered this sentence, I really ought to proofread my shit

>>11773184>Hands are tighter than Optimus's>Yet the inner Forearm design means they pop out constantly if you put too much push against them at any angle nearlyI think NewBee would have to make entire Forearms and hands for them like their SS86 Optimus Kit and it's Megatron armThis reminds me I was gonna hunt for a Social for them so I could see if there's any demand for a Menasor/Superion HandsCause fuck they need them
>>11773227it's amazing how this basically does the transformation as wrong as it can.
>meanwhile mp size
>>11773283Yeah, SS86 Shockwave needed a new mold.
It's crazy how Hasbro handled Powermaster Prime/Ginrai 10 years ago.>start line with Powermaster Optimus Prime (retooled from prior line's Ultra Magnus)>Takara further retools figure as God Ginrai>Takara releases Godbomber figure next year>Hasbro releases "Magnus Prime", the God Ginrai retool>absolutely no Hasbro release of Godbomer at all, not as a convention exclusive or later line's figure, nothing
>>11773398eh, doesn't seem that crazy
>>11773398The Godbomber mold was probably suppose to be released in the other two TR boxsets that were cancelled.
>>11773398I'm not going to lie, I don't love Powermaster/Ginrai, and God Ginrai does absolutely nothing for me.
>>11773398I’ve always found it weird how this and the Gen Selects Star Convoy basically swapped gimmicks from their original toys

Also there were video tape releases that you could get from rental shops mostly of the first season.Yeah i had some of that but it was "one of those older cartoons" for me. And after 3d in Reboot and Beast Wars blew my mind the G1 was just "old folks cartoons from the 80s" when i was in that annoying kid/teenager age.I think /v/ is during that age right now and they calling old games "unc-slop" lmao(the photo is not mine)

>>11773614As a Zoomer (2001), it’s funny reading this as my experience was basically the exact opposite. I mostly grew up on Animated and the Bayverse, but I also managed to watch G1 through tapes my grandmother had(I assume they were FHE tapes from the 80s that my uncle got, rather than the later Kid Rhino ones) so to me Beast Wars was the weird series, with its primitive CGI and lacking core characters like Bumblebee, Ratchet, or Jazz. Showing how scattered my introduction to the series was, my first toys were Universe (2003) Spychanger Hoist, Legends of Cybertron Optimus Prime, and McDonald’s Manta Ray (I always thought the toy was a Batman tie-in instead) because my grandparents always shopped at discount stores like Goodwill and Dollar General

You see people asking for Ruination from the new Bruticus mold, but the mold choice doesn't make any sense. >>11773752The push for toon accuracy is a major symptom of what's killing the franchise. The toys weren't made to replicate the cartoon, the cartoons were made to advertise cool toys. Turning around to make toys designed to replicate 40 year old cartoons made in chinese sweatshops turns the brand into boomerslop and cuts off any ability to grow new audiences.

>>11774006I thought about making it $200 but ¤150 felt like the difficult choice sweet spot
>>11773766>and promptly bounced off it because it wasn't as good as the G1 episodes I had watched.I would LOVE to know what G1 episodes you saw that you thought were somehow better than even the worst Beast Wars episodes. G1 was a glorified commercial where nothing was allowed to change too drastically and everything reset at the end of every episode - there was no real plot beyond "Megatron comes up with a convoluted Saturday-morning cartoon villain scheme, and the hero of the day - who we never saw before until this episode but everyone acts like he was there the whole time - stops him". Beast Wars had a clear plot, things that happened during the episodes tended to have consequences in future episodes (especially anything Vok related), characters were frequently permakilled on both sides, characters were frequently changing allegiances, and you got up actually know the individual characters because the cast was kept small and everyone got clear character arcs over the course of each season. I can't imagine what kind of drone would have preferred the former over the latter - Beast Wars may not have been a masterpiece, but it was a coherent story with far better written characters and actual stakes; the bulk of what made G1 good came from the comics, not it's poor excuse for a cartoon by comparison.
>>11773741I hate the way they retooled Heatwave out of the damn Bulkhead mold, but I really wouldn't mind if they did this and made it work. I love both characters too, so I'd probably get both if they ever got around to this. But yeah. Here's hoping they do a better Heatwave sooner than later.
>>11774008wait wait I thought of some more. this is just MY wish list, but I want someone to have them>transmetal 2 Spittor and/or Slapper>Ikard and his Tako Tank>any of the other japanese recolors of GOOD beast wars guys, like they had that green spittor and.. uhhh what was that other one...
>>11774025oh right, red Spittor.
>>11774021NTA but dang you sound biased and joyless.Given anon was a kid and only had a handful of individual episodes to judge by, then I think it's pretty logical he might have preferred the G1 show - it was very good at funny episodic stories. Hell, it probably works best as a compliment to Marvel G1, as the show does what the comic really failed at: giving plenty of standalone "character spotlight" episodes for everybody. The comic only focused on a select core cast really, but the cartoon really showed off EVERYBODY's personalities in fun ways. It's corny yeah, but it's got an inarguable charm.By comparison, BW is a great show, but it's a great Serialized show. It works best when you're watching it all, not a couple random episodes that you stumbled upon, like anon probably did. If you're approaching it the same way, then the avg Beast Wars episode is less colorful, takes place in a near-barren wasteland, has a smaller cast, and one might've personally preferred cheap 2D to expensive-yet-early 3D. Beast Wars is also no stranger to being incredibly corny in character personalities, but it's sometimes incongruous with the show also trying to take its stakes more seriously (the silly Blackarachnia/Silverbolt and S3 Cheetor angsts were almost too much for me lol).Ultimately I love both shows and the comic. But, it really should be no surprise if someone prefers something you don't.

Briefly dipped out of TF for like a year during Cybertron, albeit not because of a dislike of the direction of it (I kicked myself when I realized what I missed) but because I became obsessed with Lego Exo-Force during that year. Then the movie dragged me back in and I started watching old TF cartoons on the Hasbro website, notably Beast Wars. So I have quite eclectic nostalgia in that way. It's funny, I haven't watched any of RID/Car Robots despite the (awesome) toys getting me into Transformers as a kid. I should change that, it looks unremarkable but fun.

>>11774352>I know they are supposed to be minibots but this small and the price?>They really need to bring back legend/core class or have a in-between core/deluxe class. This was Hasbro's entire motive from the moment they started disconnecting size from price. Figures like Earthrise Cliffjumper or SS Hot Rod at least operated on the pretense that they were small for their class, but used the extra budget to include more accessories or improve engineering. Now even that compromise has gone out the window.Once the fandom was comfortable with the idea of paying voyager prices for a deluxe sized figure, this was always the endgame: getting you to pay more money for less plastic so they can promise their shareholders bigger dividends than last year, FOREVER. Core class was always the range with the least potential for profit margins, and I can't imagine them bringing it back now that they can just get you to pay $25-30 for a little guy instead of $10. Why? Because fuck you, that's why.If you guys genuinely want core class back, the only way is to stop buying these "B-class size but at A-class price point" bots. Even then, there's no guarantee. I don't mind the Micromasters becoming weapons for the big bots because like Mini-Cons they make for very good power boosters and weaponizers for the big bots, but Hasbro should've designed them like the Mini-Cons and just leave them with a 5mm hole for the most part and put 5mm pegs on the big bots so that they can still combine and be used as weapons but also not have a plastic piece forcibly rework their transformation scheme and make them more generic as a result.

>>11774527Weaponizers/Junkions were always that 3rd play pattern that Warden use to talk about after Combiners and Titan/Primemaster. It's too bad they didn't build an entire line around the idea like they did for CW and TR.
>>11774473IRONhide-CHROMiaI never noticed that. Sunstreaker would make sense.
>>11774473>Optimus Prime - Elita OneI always thought this was a reference that those two + Ultra Magnus were Orion Pax, Ariel and Dion.
>>11774518Does Windcharger really count as a Glup Shitto? I feel like if the vast majority of TF fans can identify a character, they shouldn’t count. That being said, my personal favorite is probably either Flamewar or Shadow Panther. It’s especially interesting when you consider that SP is basically what Cheetor/Prowl was originally supposed to look like
>>11774518Too many to name with this franchise, but I also really like Windcharger. Wish more TF figures came with power and blast effects too. And I like Glup Shitto's for every franchise I collect honestly. I think Venin was one of the better deluxe figures from last year and he's the definition of a literal who.
>>11774352I need legends, scouts, ultra classes back.
>>11774480Welcome to most transformers before 1996
>>11774346NTA but I think they mean how Season 2 especially has whole new characters pop in as the main character in episodes without any prior introductions
>>11774522>transformers have an alt mode???Anon wut
>>11774540Elita and Ariel weren’t meant to be the same character originally, Orion was just meant to lose his friends to make the story more tragic. The change wasn’t made until later when someone pointed out that Ariel and Elita just so happen to look really similar to each other color-wise. That’s why you don’t see Elita in that episode, Alpha Trion just hints at the idea of rebuilding her in dialogue.
>>11774553But the Search for Aloha Trion hints specifically that Trion was both Optimus and Elita’s creator, and that’s how he knew to repair Elita by connecting her to Optimus..
>>11774551Learn to follow a conversation.
>>11774532i honestly wouldn't be collecting transformers if they1) didn't have 5mm holes all over to upgrade them with tiny guys or junkions2) junkions or stuff like Amalgamus Primeas soon as transformers will be just SS86/Studio Series stuff i will drop collecting it.
>>11774556Weirdly enough that’s a complete coincidence as David Wise, the writer of War Dawn, didn’t know Elita existed when he wrote the script, since her introductory episode was written around the same time by a different writer, Beth Bornstein
>>11772317anons Lego releasing thisyou know what THAT MEANS??
>>11774597Technic is still alive?
>>11774597These would look pretty good in green and purple.
>>11774599>>11774604
>>11774609I want it in orange
>>11774543Is Venom that good, he sometimes goes on sale but looked rather plain. I'm glad a toy for him finally exists, but that's about it
>>11772865the ones that came with Deathsaurus are pretty nice, which makes the other ones all the more disappointing. The formula 1 racer and that cop car type body were the only good molds.
>>11774541>Does Windcharger really count as a Glup Shitto?Definitely not. He's not an A- or even B-lister by any means, but just by virtue of being an original '84 bot, people know of him. Tailgate would be a better candidate.>Shadow PantherFunny you mention him, I just grabbed a cheap one from ebay the other day. I think he's cool.
I really like these goobers
>>11774681Keep on Glidin'
Cant say I recommend this kit, you have to actually shave down the paint in order for anything to fit, for Toyhax fags like myself the stickers dont stick to the material so the hand stickers are a no go, and the swivel wrists pop out like baby grease. If the bootleg guy is still here he'd have every right to call this one
>>11774518Sky Shadow for me. So many BW toy-only characters are doomed to get nothing unless you count the mold being used in JP series or some brief comic stuff. Feels like even the most obscure late US G1 guys have something thanks to some guy who wrote for official sources having had the toy as a kid and making them a character
>>11774678>TailgateYou mean the one that had a ton of focus in IDW>>11774691What’s your opinion on Drancron?
>>11774708>You mean the one that had a ton of focus in IDWThat's a mark against him, not for him. Not just for the quality of the comic (though there's also that) but because anyone who reads comics is already a big fan and so the glup shitto thing doesn't count, because those same readers will know of lots of other glups, many of them more obscure.Meanwhile anyone who has seen the movie or just knows the original cartoon will have seen Windcharger.
>>11774691Many of the late G1 guys had representation either in the Marvel or Marvel UK comics by Furman, JG1 or latter appearances in IDW. The ones that clearly have designer nostalgia playing in their favor are the G2 and MW characters that have no fiction whatsoever.
>>11772351The first couple of years of Legacy had an 'Energon infused' weapon gimmick. As much as I enjoy a bonus clear weapon, Blitzwing's gauntlets feel like a misuse of the parts budget when a few more small panels would have significantly improved the tank mode. I guess, if you've got AotP Armada Red Alert, you can give him a giant rocket launcher hand? Still waiting for a third party company to sell a regular left hand for him.
>>11774199I have Runamuck and he's a pretty decent toy. RTS Wheeljack is a mixed bag but the car mode is sleek and robot mode is suitably dorky. He also has wrist articulation and pseudo-ankle tilts.
>>11772356>where else they can go after thisLike how Siege introduced an 'everyone gets ankles' rule, I would want the next generation of mainline Transformers figures to improve the hands. Everything in deluxe class or above gets rotating wrists, voyagers get opening hands and everything in leader class or above gets Kingdom Rodimus/SS86 Optimus/SS86 Megatron style finger articulation. But, considering the state of SS86 Astrotrain and Cyclonus, I don't think we'll be getting gradual improvements from Hasbro.
>>11774518
>>11772420Mine hasn't yellowed but a couple of the parts are made of that shitty plastic that's prone to yellowing. But yeah, this Cyclonus in particular can have a loose shoulder. Annoyingly, the loose joint is the pinned one so good luck taking it apart to tighten it. Definitely get this figure over the new one though. Much better colour scheme and the vehicle mode hasn't been ruined for no reason.
>>11774518TORCA
>>11772731Shard's engineering will hopefully be scaled up and used for Energon Bulkhead, like how that weird non-SS TF One Sentinel Prime is clearly an undersized Energon Megatron.
>>11772617Hasbro are allergic to common sense engineering.
>>11772747I swear there was a mention of her being rereleased with a key and a slightly modified weapon but it never materialised.
>>11774511With how many times they've recycled Siege Sideswipe over the years, I'm surprised they haven't turned him into a single Spychanger yet.
>>11774758R.E.V. would be an easy remold, shame about his terrible name though.
>>11773398Would be nice if they could try the 'Ultra Magnus that gets turned into Powermaster Optimus Prime' thing again. I need an Ultra Magnus with a good white Optimus inside it. SS86 doesn't have the inner robot and Missing Link's style doesn't fit with Generations.
>>11774778Do you mean a mini white Optimus, because the UM that was retooled into PM Prime didn't have one.
>>11774597That's Lego tho, This is the Tran- >>11774609Ohhh waitSomebody buy 6 of these and MOC this
>>11774518Windcharger isn't a glup shitto.
>>11773741Trashmaster could be retooled into Salvage but it seems like they only want to do repaints of the Legacy Junkions.
>>11774687This the 3P kit that has Hands, Hammer and Mug right?I literally have that in Cart on Ebay lolI got the Onyx Wings and they're so good LOOKING but absurdly dog hinges so the weight instantly caves on themSeller on Ali won't refund without me sending it back, which obviously is more than the cost of the item itself
>>11773558I'll buy him if a matching Jetfire repaint is ever officially announced but I'm not happy that he doesn't come with the trailer.
>>11773677If you shaved down the dodgy parts of Optimus as soon as you pulled him out of the box and managed to avoid the yellowing, it's a great set. Bullshit that they locked Optimus Prime of all characters behind a Haslab though.
>>11773720There's so much wrong with Devastator that I can't pick a worst part.
>>11774793Whirl is the only HA figure I ever got, and therefore he's the best one.
Messing about with tr broadside and it makes me wish they did a titan broadside with a run of micromaster aerialbots or something. Would be fun to mess around with
>>11774796>Hands, Hammer and Mug rightYes, sadly the Hammer doesnt even fit in the old hands so its kind of bad overall with everything else I said about it.This might actually be the reason TFSafari doesnt sell it, or the wings you bought.
>>11774827Micromaster jets fit nicely on Metroplex's carrier mode.
>>11774835Also gotta say, what's even the point of wrist rotation when it's cut like this
>>11773614That photo IS mine! I'm so glad someone liked it enough to save it :)>>11773620I kinda hit the QC lottery with a lot of the infamous figures. My Netflix sound wave, kingdom tigatron and cyclonus are all relatively pristine- no yellowing at all. I'll post some pictures with a timestamp later this week.
>>11774875The two on the far right make me want to see the Constructicons carrying a coffin and doing the coffin dance meme from however many years ago that was.
>>11774882Well, if we end up getting the Universal Monsters Mummy collaborative figure, I imagine that would be a pretty easy pic to make! He's gotta go from robot to sarcophagus, right? Maybe a Scourge retool? Here's a fresh pic, varmint included
>>11774835>>11774854DamnnBeen eyeing that set tooithttps://www.ebay.com/itm/406038549027I guess i'll pass on it and the individual MugStill hunting a good Throne or Ring of the PrimesThe fact we got a Cardboard ass one that holds the Prime Masters as a Throne in 2018 or so from a SDCC release and then just NOBODY decided to make another??There's one guy who does a nice 3D Printed ring and that's about it
>>11774904Mug does fit in old hands if you just want the mug
>>11774904Just noticed but the Ebay pictures are clearly parts cast in the right colored plastic where the kit you get is just whatever plastic they used and then painted so all the tolerances are wrong because of the extra paint layer. Why the wrists ended up so loose I couldn't say outside this engineering is retarded and Hasbro wouldnt even do this
>>11774518In terms of G1 guys, maybe Grapple? He barely did anything but he's kinda neat, also the ER toy is really fun.
>>11774915Actually maybe theyre painted too on the ebay I didnt zoom in enough. I would still say I'm at fault for not inspecting it closely though, I just didnt expect them to fuck up a wrist swivel so hard so I didn't even think about it
>>11774708>What’s your opinion on Drancron?Never liked his colors. Somehow feels cheaper despite Takara being known for better paint- actually looking at it I think it's because they needed simpler colors for animation. But yeah, not a big fan, making the Fuzors unicron minons is kinda cool but I think it makes them too disposable long term. >>11774717MW is a stretch. It'd basically the same gen as early BW, yet toy-only BW guys from 97 don't get as much attention. Anything MW gets is more likely due to G1 ties, or connections to stuff like e-Hobby(In Megaplex's case)
>>11774918Niggas will say "glup shitto" but can only think of some B-List/C-List G1 character that's had multiple toys in the past
>>11774954Man I would love a new RID15 Crazybolt though, does he count?
>>11774954is Shortround gluppy enough for you?
>>11774912>>11774915>>11774919Yea i'll probably get the Mugs separatelySucks because the hands do look great but if they're this bad I'll have to hope somebody else does hands or just deal with what we have
>>11774451I tell you what, if there's one thing I'm sick of across every board, it's people being so patently unable to recognize the blatantly obvious shit-stirrers paid off by our foreign enemies. It's really easy. If there's blue vs orange, and someone says "Blues (do orange thing)" then you know it's fake. If there's fuckin.. bicycling vs unicycling, and someone says "unicycles have too many fucking wheels, bicycles are better", you know it's fake. but everyone's so retarded now. just so, so fucking retarded. left is right, up is down, west is lip...
>>11774691loved this guy. I only wish he had slightly better hands and not a pressure-firing missile. I guess I still have him, so.. when I have shelf room, he will go back up.>>11774708so want this guy
>>11774740did they not have any yellow nylon to use? criminy.>>11772617just use the older, stronger clear plastic.
>>11774954i thought the entire point of 'glup shitto' is making fun of the tendency to make toys out of any random fucking character who has no business being a toy. like a background janitor in one shot, so he comes with a space mop or somethingtransformers does the opposite, all those nobody characters get skipped in toys. almost all of the humans, any non-cybertronian villains except the occasional quintesson, botanica,... hell even Transmutate didn't get a toy til recently and it's still not on-model, unless you count the BAF.
>>11774997They also dont fold down all the way into the arm groove due to the extra length. At least you dont have to spend $24 now though!
>>11774875>That photo IS mine! I'm so glad someone liked it enough to save it :)Great photo anon. i'm always saving top tier inspiring stuff to my "transformers toys" folder. I saved your constructicons as well!probably will post it someday in this thread lol
>>11774854The hand doesn't look that low down on the product images. Is it too loose or do you need to extend the channel upwards until it sits in the correct place?
>>11774882>Constructicons carrying a coffin and doing the coffin dance memedamn...i was passing by one of those modern "sugar bones to build a skeleton" - candy that were in a box shaped as a plastic coffin.I KNEW i need to buy it for future toy photos but didn't buy it.This could be a time to use it haha
>>11774901A Scourge retool would be cool but the previous monster figures were retools of deluxes.
>>11774915There are very few figures in deluxe class that Hasbro couldn't realistically give wrist rotation to. They're just too cheap.
>>11774518>Who is your favorite Glup Shitto character?I always thought it's Retrax...but lately Retrax became so fun-favorite in terms of "so bad so good" (people LOVE his bug mode but he's famous for ultra useless robot mode) i think he's too popular to be glup shitto.I mean he even got a reissue couple of years later...think about that...
>>11775019I wish that was how Bonecrusher scaled with the SS86 Soundwave.
Bros I wanna get someone for this guy to duke it out with. He's a Universe Voyager so preferably something around that size class and general aesthetic. What are your faves?
>>11774541I have no idea what windcharger even did in the show really, only reason I can name him is because I asked "who's that dead next to wheeljack?" once
>>11775023Maybe this will make it more obvious
woo, got Streagle. She looks magnificent. The metallic red is so nice, I am starting to reconsider repainting. like maybe I should add more metallic red to her robot mode instead, for balance. I did okay with Inferno's gun...Like I said earlier, my airazors have always come with misfolded wings, but this is the first time they have popped off in the process of trying to fix it. I forgot that was removable (which is necessary for Terrorsaur's upgrade kit, but obviously those wings aren't the same mold)but I managed to do the other one without popping it off, you just have to bend it entirely BACKWARDS first, then the tab is out of the way.The painted parts are so fucking beautiful. I'm gonna add some more dark blue on her back and the tops of her wings, so it feels more organic. also she should have a white tail, right?so should Skywarp I think. I'll show you guys when I'm done.
>>11775031I agree but my statement was meant to mean I've never owned a Hasbro toy that has wrists like this Maybe you have. I dont own every toy
>>11775063Oh, I see. That's a terrible design.
My Sideways arrived. Like most figured early on, he kind of sucks, but if you really want a modern style Sideways and really don't want the original, he's there.
>>11775041I forgot they made that mold a Decepticon in Universe 2. So I'd say HFTD Seaspray, Universe 2 Treadbolt, or TFU2 Overload.
>>11775041Can't go wrong with Cybertron Crumplezone
>discover that tigerhawk's shitty tiny bird feet, which the 3P kit replaces, make perfect replacement hands for the tiny-handed 3P upscaled airazor painted blue to be that one obscure comic characterhooray!>remember that I got my tigerhawk cheap because one of the feet was missingnutbunnies. Oh well, I'll just use Razorclaw's feet, once HIS 3P kit comes in.>>11775104huh he looks like thundertron in these colors.
>>11775009The original Glup Shitto meme was meant to be a jab at hardcore Star Wars fans getting excited over a character showing up that 99% of the general audience didn’t know. The Transformers equivalent would be fans getting excited for a character getting a new figure that most people wouldn’t recognize. For example, I’d argue the two “most popular” Glup Shittos right now are Cryotek and Glyph because people desperately want toys of them despite the fact that their most major appearances are in comics and a fan animation. >>11775032Wasn’t Retrax reissued because they couldn’t find the Tarantulas/Blackarachnia mold? I also think it was a missed opportunity to do Powerhug. I know he wasn’t released in the States before but TF fans tend to love JP original characters
>>11775104I really like his color scheme, part of why I went with the Decepticon version. I also just prefer Decepticons over Autobots in general.Interestingly enough I've actually been looking into RTS Deep Dive and Universe Scattorshot which are moldmates of two of the bots you listed....Can you tell I like army green decos...
What are the odds we get another Go-Bots set?
>>11775119Ohhhh okay, I had it wrong then. Thank you for the clari-ma-fying.>JP originalI think we just like recolors in general. We were raised on pixel games where those were always the coolest characters.
>>11775132bug bite is already slated for release elsewhere, but now that powerglide and seaspray are both out they've got all the molds they need to make BuggyMan, Bad Boy, and the one I want most, Man-o-War

>>11775278Honestly the 2000s voyagers/deluxes are so damn good that I'm happy to pay $50 for them, way more than I'd want what you get for $50 today.

>>11775569>all those primesI still didn't buy a single one of them. They appeared so suddenly i see them as some "random new characters" from some other less known TV-show or something like that... despite knowing that there are lots of primes in TF-lore.Hope i won't feel the need to get them in the future. Collecting them years later will be a super expensive pain in the ass i guess....PS:The only one i want to get is that combiner prime because he at least looks like a blocky G1 robot and can be used with combiners. The others kinda look like they are from all over the place (different tv-show styles and etc.... like why the fuck Alchemist prime is a modern "small penis complex jeep-car" instead of something that actually fits the "ALCHEMY" theme?)
>>11775601>with combiners>can't combine with motormaster/bruticushttps://youtu.be/Enq-dTErJfgNevermind. I'm not getting him either. I just found that Nexus Prime combines with Superion only.I thought i will have lots of fun mixing/maching him with current combiners. He don't even look that different combined with Superion... oh well
>>11775601Their lore is retarded too. They're all meant to represent some shitty gimmick (Here's Beast Mode Prime! Here's Combiners Prime! Here's Minicon Prime! Here's Girl Prime!" and then you have "here's the master of space and time prime" showing even Hasbro thought the idea was retarded and gave up halfway through.
>>11775623>"here's the master of space and time prime"That's Cyber Key Prime, retard
>>11775623To be fair, most of them don’t really represent a direct gimmick. Megatronus, Liege, Alpha/Logos, Quintus, Vector, Alchemist, Prima, and the Thirteenth don’t really have centralized gimmicks to them
>>11775623That's only if you're a pleb who needs your lore spoonfed to you by toy packaging. If you're into Greek mythology (and really, why wouldn't anyone be?) they instantly become much cooler because right away you'll see them as in-universe Olympic pantheon for Cybertron consisting of the first ever Transformers.
>>11775623>Their lore is retarded too. They're all meant to represent some shitty gimmick (Here's Beast Mode Prime! Here's Combiners Prime! Here's Minicon Prime! Here's Girl Prime!" and then you have "here's the master of space and time prime" showing even Hasbro thought the idea was retarded and gave up halfway through.Honestly i like only Megatronus and Nexus primes. All others look out of place (with an exception of girl-prime and white knight prime - i keep forgetting their names)Like for example Micronus prime looks like he's from TF-Prime tv-show or something like that - he has a completely different "artstyle" design...And like i mentioned - Alchemist Prime is so WRONG. He's an alchemist/smart guy/etc. But his car is... a modern truck wroom-wroom car for rich assholes from north america. What the hell...
>>11775633>That's only if you're a pleb who needs your lore spoonfed to you by toy packaging.>If you're into Greek mythology (and really, why wouldn't anyone be?) they instantly become much cooler because right away you'll see them as in-universe Olympic pantheon for Cybertron consisting of the first ever Transformers.A small pinch of lore. It's not worth buying 13 figures and making room for them. Most Transformers fans already have over 9,000 figures. Honestly, I only have room for Devastator and Bruticus...i can't fit stuff like Superion and Motormaster in and im not turning my house into a "TF-Youtuber reviews" kind of toy room filled with characters standing in a boring pose stuffed in a souless army of toys. All these figures are optional and unnecessary. They are as "Glub Schitto" as it can get as some anons previously said.i'd say guys like Micronus Prime are more "glup shitto" than actual G.Shittos like Tailgate or...that magnet guy
>>11775637>a modern truck wroom-wroom car for rich assholes from north america.Seething euro detected.
>>11775640That's nice anon but I never said you have to buy them.>the primes suck because they have no lore!!>well actually they do and it's kind of cool>yeah well...I'm still not gonna buy them!!!Uh ok? What a pointless conversation lol.I do agree that most TF collectors have far, far too many and can't pose their figures for shit, but that goes back to TF fans being plebs like I said. Also if some figures are "optional and unnecessary" wouldn't that imply that some figures are "mandatory and necessary" then? If so, which ones? Obviously the Optimus Primes and Megatrons and Bumblebees of the world are must-haves, but where do you draw the line exactly? Like why Bruticus but not Menasor or Superion?>inb4 because I like the Combaticons betterOk great, so do I, but what if someone likes the Aerialbots or Stunticons better? Then Bruticus isn't "mandatory" after all, huh?
>>11775648>Seething euro detected.European cars are cool and aesthetically pleasing.Of course i would find that ugly shit ugly. I mean...most of tf-cars you being fan of are not american cars.PS:actually alchemist looks more like those new oversized chinese trucks that were made FOR american market. So here is your shoulder pat, my fellow vulnerable McDonald's customer
>>11775654>okay heh lol>but!!! NO!!slop-tier argument.>>11775654>Like why Bruticus but not Menasor or Superion?Who the fuck in their sane mind would chose Menasor (boring "samey looking cars") over fucking god of war - Bruticus that builds himself from different war vehicles + space shuttle. What kind of ...>menasor>buy the same plane toy 4 times + ugly big planenevermind. here is your (you)
>>11775663>>menasor>>buy the same plane toy 4 times + ugly big planei mean superionI can't even remmeber his name.Superion is a classic corporate scam when you have to buy the same toy multiple times. He's the most boring combiner next to computron or whatever was that (good guy that had giant out of place motorcycle for a leg).
>>11775663Did you miss where I said I also like Bruticus more than Menasor and Superion? It's your opinion, AND it's mine, but our opinions are not objective. It's just our taste. So again I'm asking you to elaborate more on "mandatory" figures if you consider others to be optional. Says who? You?
>>11775668>Did you miss where I said I alsoYou started your post with>>11775654>That's nice anon but I never said you have to buy them.>>the primes suck because they have no lore!!>>well actually they do and it's kind of cool>>yeah well...I'm still not gonna buy them!!!that looked like one of those slop-buzzword-posts that trolls/shitposters do so i never bothered read it.We live in a time consuming slop-age. I trained my brain to turn off if i see signs of "slop danger".When i see anons talking like /v/ or /pol/ people i completely ignore what they saying and post a "shitpost" automatically
>>11775675>I trained my brain to turn offThat much is very evident from your posts, yes.
>>11775648I always forget how much of the fandom is weirdly European
>>11774518>Who is your favorite Glup Shitto character?I think it's this wolf-robot. I have that yellow titans return version but who is this i have no idea. It's an ultimate Glipp-Shitto.
>>11775695I want Carnivac, but I don't care for Ironfist at all. What a shame.
>>11775696I’m in the exact opposite boat, I really want Ironfist but couldn’t care less for Carnivac
>>11775695The jeep guy he's packed with is an even bigger glup than that. Someone will say>n-nooo but le IDW made him popular!!Exactly.
>>11775694>how much of the fandom is weirdly EuropeanHmmm...i wonder why...The only "alamama west verginia" type of car i can think of is... Optimus Prime lol (he's a working man - truck guy in jeans).Everything else is european.Even megatron is just evil German guy (g1 was based on german gun)
>>11775695>Fisitronthere are no fans of Fisitron. I'm 100% sure.At least purple wolf is cool. Fisitron is THE Glup Shitto
>>11775701I agree but anon his name is Ironfist. It always strikes me as exceedingly bootlicker/cuckish when people embrace the new trademark-friendly names. "Skrapnel", "Slug" etc.
>>11775702>It always strikes me as exceedingly bootlicker/cuckish when people embrace the new trademark-friendly names. "Skrapnel", "Slug" etc.it says Fisitron on that box.i dont care about your dork-deep lore and i'm not gonna read into that
>>11775703>I am a proud, PROUD newfag, you see!Anon that's fantastic, I'm happy for you.
>>11775699I was more saying it’s surprising because the two companies that make Transformers are American and Japanese>>11775702Actually Ironfist/Fisitron is the worst example to use for this because he actually uses the other name as a pseudonym in-universe. It’s like saying someone can’t refer to Punch as Counterpunch
>>11775706>he actually uses the other name as a pseudonym in-universeFor writing, that's completely incomparable to a deep-cover agent's alias.
>>11775705Nobody cares about glup shitto characters anon. I won't ever bother buy them let alone googling an info about them
I personally don't consider anyone who was an original toy mold first can be a glup shittos considering that's the primary point of the franchise. It's gotta be one issue nobodies like Scrounge or repaints with literally zero notable fiction Cybertron Hightail or Armada Predacon.
>>11775694Why?Transformers are like the second most popular toys after Lego
>>11774518>>11775119>>11775711This is a stupid conversation. Glup Shitto was making fun of obscure characters being used to wag star wars fans. This is like if the marketing of a new Transformers movie was focused around the movie including Impactor or something. It's a comparison that's completely incompatible with to releases.
>>11775717I mean Transformers is kind of that way, but people aren’t like that because of the characters in a storyWe like the designs and vehiclesIt’s not unlike Gunpla releases
>>11775717>Star wars=Movies are the main focus>Transformers=Toys are the main focus>Glub showing up in SW movie=Glub getting new TF toy
>>11775662>European cars are cool and aesthetically pleasing.European cars haven't been aesthetically pleasing for the last 20 years.>new oversized chinese trucks that were made FOR american market. Those garbage EVs have expanded well beyond the US, the shitty crossover SUV blob car is the universal standard nowt. Europoor
Do we know which mold the new Bugbite will have? I hope it's Devastation and he has his dumb tattoos.
>>11775717>>11775711I'm the original "glup shitto" poster (i started it in previous thread after being inspired by those posts about "WAIT...THERE WAS GEARS IN "THE MOVIE???"").Glup shitto is basically just a character that appears for 1 second. Or a random character nobody cares about.Memes like this >>11775717 appeared only after that.Like...who the fuck cares about Fisitron or...about...idk.About SNARLER.Remember SNARLER?SNARLER was sooooo coool! OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT THEY BRINGING BACK SNARLER!!!So...yeah Glup Shitto meme fits perfectly to transformers franchise.Only it's better than starwars becase at least we have cool robots (unironically i would love to get SNARLER cause he's a drill-snotted pig transformer) unlike your regular slug-ballsack looking alien that is full of skin flaps from Star Wars.
>>11775538I can't figure why, but springer seems so damn smug in this one...
>>11775728Movies and toys are completely different enterprises, ergo the comparison is retarded. >>11775733No you're not you dumbfuck retard, some tumblr poster years ago was and you're just misusing a meme you don't understand. Your comparison is retarded, you're retarded and possibly European.
>>11775733>WAIT...THERE WAS GEARS IN "THE MOVIE???OH MY GOD GEARS BROS WE WONFIRST (and last) LOOK AT GEARS FROM TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE!!! (crying emoji)
>>11775735>No you're not you dumbfuck retard, some tumblr poster years ago was and you're just misusing a meme you don't understand. Your comparison is retarded, you're retarded and possibly European.Nobody will take such whiny posts like this seriously, anon.
>>11775733>>Glup shitto is basically just a character that appears for 1 second. Or a random character nobody cares about. No, it's not, this was just explained. You're so fucking stupid.
>>11775738European fingers typed this.
>>11775733The difference is Star Wars is about a character no one cares aboutWhere as Transformers it’s based on if the toy is good or not
>>11775739>>11775740Seethe.>>11775741>The difference is Star Wars is about a character no one cares aboutyeah because transformers fandom really cares about glup shittos like Gears or...fucking SNARLOS (i already forgot his name lmao) or...fucking MICRONUS PRIME.Man...that arc about Micronus Prime losing his wife in a third roboticon war was so epic...I know right dude.
>>11775743Transformers is about toys, not storylines. Fuck off to the star wars thread or the ukraine or some third shithole.
>>11775745>Transformers is about toys, not storylinesHuh?what...?i wouldn't care about transformers if i didn't read comics/didnt watch cartoon. What a retarded take. Just...fuck off moron.

So that years later, a Reddit collector will buy it at an inflated price, saying, "WOW! THIS IS... CAN'T THIS BE THE SAME GLUB SHITTO FROM THAT EPISODE?"

Why haven't I seen any comparisons between AotP and Combiner Wars Powerglide?
>>11775765I'd do it if my CW Powerglide wasn't put away
>>11775601The covenant of primus was a mistake. They were best when they were just a slow drip of Furman schizoposting.

>>11775771>>11774681Keep on glidin'
>>11775776By my understanding of the term Kranix is the only recent one that could possibly qualify as Glup Shitto, and that isn't as extreme as the hypothetical background Star Wars character since he was voiced.
>>11775783>Kranix>glup shittoHe comes from one of the most famous scenes of transformers history...Gears Sunstreatker that stegosaurus and other transformers are glup shittos compared to Kranix.Without Kranix the sharkticon destruction derby wouldn't be as col as it was.
>>11775785Exactly. Even the minor guys aren't as minor as they should be.
>>11775776Seething Beast Wars cuck mad that the only character from his show anyone cares about is Waspinator doing his fall apart rabbit joke again.

A glup shitto is a super obscure character who no one (as in most normal semi-casual fans) has heard of.God you people are all retards, this is one of the worst /tfg/s yet. Over half of the thread is you idiots circle-jerking over this dumb shit.
