>>11769249Hasbro is attenting a convention in Mexico this weekend, and we'll see if they do any new reveals.
>>11769253I think they did most of their reveals yesterday.
>>11769264Did they show anything besides verbally saying Grand Slam is coming?
>>11769249You forgot the Arctic soldiers 3 pack under unknown release date
>>11769337You're right. I'll get it right next time. Plus the Snowcat should be releasing in 2 - 3 months, and maybe the Arctic HISS too.
Still a lot more reveals for the year.
Whatever happened to these niggas?
>>11769456No release date yet.
>>11769456They're still coming. Fucked if anyone knows when >>11769421How come no one can ever get a clear picture of the release list? Why does Hasbro fuck with people wanting to give them money like that?
>>11769421Retro card Roadblock please
>>11769538with Ma Deuce
>>11769538This, also Snow Job and Doc. And Serpentor but they need to go back to the drawing board with him
>>11769603>And Serpentor but they need to go back to the drawing board with himserpentor is still easily in the top 3 of this whole line
>>11769538I think roadblock already has a great figure, the heavy artillery version is pretty spot on imo. I'd enjoy a star brigade roadblock though, that'd be fun.
>>11769249What is your obsession with starting new threads? There's currently 4 GI Joe threads.
I wish the retro Lady Jaye had more reddish brown hair. Not Scarlett red obviously but not mud brown either. That's how I remember her being drawn in the comic
Do these instantly sell out? Should I preorder Zanya if I want her?
>>11769776they only ever sell out of they're exclusive to walmart or target, and sometimes pulse (but not as often)zanya is available everywhere, I doubt she'll sell out
>>11769538With HA RB still going for only $50 in ebay. I'd say make the retro RB version 2 to go with I was once a man CC.
>>11769780Big vehicles if they're Pulse exclusive I missed CLAW
>>11769776They don't seem to sell out quite as fast as they used to. The line has been much better about getting enough product out for people. It's not like when the whole thing first started.
>>11769681You can't stop me
I guess it might be delayed if it's listed for July everywhere else, but my order of Dr. Whatever and his Raptor is still on track for May 4th along with Zanya
>>11769857on Amazon, I should've mentioned
>>11769538>Retro card Roadblock pleaseThis, but a retro card version of 1986 Roadblock. Heavy Artillery Roadblock is a great version of the original already outside of having a different weapon.>>11769619I think they only way they could improve Serpentor is with a single-piece head sculpt. A single-carded release is overdue for everyone who missed him though.
>>11769857I got the release dates off of Hasbro's site. That may not necessarily be the same as the dates retailers get and ship them.
>>11769970Hasbro's dates are all screwy anymore anyway
>>11769955>A single-carded release is overdue for everyone who missed him though.Or couldn't afford it. That's probably what the rumored "shirtless Serpentor" would be.
>>11769769I'd be happy with the one we got if it didn't have such a shitty face sculpt.
Got me a night viper. He’s sick. I like him a lot. The Robocop gun is an interesting touch. Does anyone know that the things on his left thigh are? Grenades or rockers or something?
>>11770212I think the "consensus" is that they're flares. Could be anything you wanted them to be, though. RPG booster motors, demo charges, seismic sensors. They were canisters on the ARAH figure, but since it didn't have the benefit of a Battle Corps release, we never got any kind of explanation.
>>11770243Having flares going off in the night vision scope would blind you. They're probably just busy-work nothing that's just there to add detail.
>>11770255> hey're probably just busy-work nothing that's just there to add detail. Tell me you have no imagination without telling me.
>>11770286If you want to pretend that they're the one thing that can cripple a night-ops troop then go for it.
>>11770212When I was a kid I always thought they contacted extra scopes.
>>11770289...Or maybe they just use the flares in a situation where they don't have the night vision on.
>>11770289I never suggested they’re flares. I said grenades or rockets. Better than “busy-work nothing” you came up with
>>11770298It's easier to imagine them as bars of C4 for sticking on a wall then bugging out to remote-detonate. Cobra is a terrorist organization after all.
>>11770296Or flares for distracting NightForce?L
>>11770296Yeah or that too.
They look like they have a cluster of tiny missile at the top end
>>11770212He is one my favorite vipers. You guys think low light could handle some night vipers? I'm sure he could one on one but what if there was an issue where low light was pinned down a bit?
>>11770461It's not exactly accurate to the comics or the cartoons generally speaking, but I always think of a specialty Viper as being a high tier threat that completely derails a missionLowlight would inevitably kill the Night Viper, but it would be a protracted battle and it would ultimately fuck up whatever he was supposed to be doing
>>11769456I hate that these guys are just straight white repaints. It would've been a much nicer set if they did some frankensteining of them to make them more wintered up. Maybe use some Snow Serpent parts on the Saw Viper to give him fur gauntlets, or give the Night Viper Snow-Jobs snow pants. Something to make them not just a straight recolor. The old Extreme Conditions sets from the 25th did it real well, especially the Vipers from the Arctic set. New, unique builds, but instantly recognizable as a Viper.>>11769803Surprised this hasn't been done in all honesty. It's an easy figure to drop and I'm sure he'd be very in demand with out hard the HA RB was to get. >>11769681Nobody cares. This board is slow as shit.
Couldn't quite get all the paint off the knees with just sanding, but it looks better than before I'd say. Also got around to the Snake Eyes leg swap that I've been meaning to do forever.
>>11770496Lowlight needs a spotter. I'd assume Shooter would do well, and they could counter snipe those snake bitches with a little planning. I picture Lowlight as the miserable Solid Snake kind of guy, no nonsense and a knack for surviving in the dark. His origin story is his dad was rough and abused him, even left him in a junkyard as a kid with a rifle. Lowlight came back with a bunch of dead rats and some swag. He lost his fear of the dark many years ago, is frosty on the trigger and to me is one of the scariest Joes next to Snake Eyes.
>>11770583except night vipers are one of the ones with ridiculous and nonsensical training regimens where they work in total darkness when not on missions, they live like nocturnal beasts
Do you think D.I.R.E. Tech will make it into the Skybound comics, I think it could, including Cobra-La kind of set a more fantasy tone early
>>11770613>>>/co/
>>11770613It's probably meant to be a big nothing so as a Walmart exclusive it doesn't take away from the overall line for those unable to get it. I just wish that it stayed consistent, and wish the night creeper was in "team colors" with the other two.
>>11770650has crystal ball been introduced in the new comics?they really should, he's badass now
>>11770681Probably not. He really was a hated character, and is considered one of the absolute worse original ARAH figures. The fact that Hasbro found a way to make such a shit figure into one of the coolest in Classified is an impossibility that they somehow managed to pull off.
>>11770557Did you do something to Duke's eyebrows or is it's just lightening and camera angles? That is the original retro carded head, not the new (250th) one, right?
>>11770557Your Snake Eyes looks like a fat dude in that picture
>>11770461At the end of the day, it's your headcanon. I like my Cobra on the highly competent side of the street, so Low Light might make it to the EXFIL, but he might not longer be fit for service.
>>11770711>At the end of the day, it's your headcanon.I really wish that more than the retro figures had filecards to flush out their stories.
>>11770740Yeah, that's one of the shortfalls of the Classified line, physical file cards. Hell, a write-up on the box, even.
>>11770696Original retro head, no mods. >>11770709Too many fudgy bars I guess
>>11770782They can throw in trading cards with characer bios on back. That costs nothing to produce and include, and their WOTC division can confirm they make billions off of cheap cardstock. They can stoke the collectibility of them with random shit like holofoil cards.
I know amazon coupons aren't universal, but you may want to check. Just ordered the Sarge and Mercer set for $42
>>11770813I won't buy off of Amazon just on general principle.
>>11770802As a trading card dork in my youth, I wouldn't mind that.
>>11770822Neither would I. It's such a cheap and easy way to not only include bio-cards, but also to stoke the collecting. Personally I'd rather have a card than a blister full of more than non-essential accessories.
>>11769249Why I don't collect Classified:The change in scale and the loss of the exaggerated cartoon aesthetic that made the o-ring figures so cool. It's too much of a departure from what I collected as a kid to fuel the nostalgia needed to motivate me to want them. Also, the more realistic styling of Classified makes me realize just how simple and boring many of the character designs are. For example, Lady Jaye is just a gal in a green army suit and a ball cap. Beachhead is just a dude in a balaclava mask and camo pants. Too generic to justify paying $30.
>>11770876>lady jayewho cares?cobra has always had and always will have the better figures
>>11770876Who let you out of your containment thread?
>>11770876Thanks lil buddy
>cobra has always had and always will have the better figures100%. Im normally a huge “good guy” guy. GI Joe is the only franchise I prefer the bad guys. Cobra is far cooler than GI Joe unless you are playing straight military. The fans of the earliest stuff are just playing military guys moreso than actual Joe
>>11770876Im not sure you realized how stupid you are before you posted this. Do you go to McDonald’s to tell them you don’t want a McChicken? Imagine going a bar and announcing to everyone how much you dislike beer. What a goof
>>11770876The reaction+ stuff is alright, and heavily derives from the cartoons.
>>11770613>>11770681I think the next storyline starting in the Energon Universe comic is indeed bringing in the DIRE tech, Crystal Ball may appear as well.
Speaking of scale and bad guys, it's a shame Hasbro pussied out on doing more drastic redesigns so early with Classified
>>11771040I disagree. I personally like them exactly how they are, aesthetically. Almost every single one of them is a redesign, it’s just subtle. If they went any further people would complain about how they look “off”. What I want from the line is better articulation, more hands, and someone who actually understands firearms designing their weapons.
>>11771045People complain if they stray too far from the retro designs regardless, they might as well have gone all out on the mainline stuff for at least the first year before pivoting. Now we have a weird double dip thing going on where mainline stuff is almost entirely composed of vintage accurate designs, then the retro line comes along and makes them even more retro.
>>11771045>more handsFuck that. I want the line to be more fun. Stuff like Sgt Slaughter coming with his own mini-action-figure and battle armor CC coming with "Serpentor" were some things that are really cool to me, and I'd love to see more. The Snowcat coming with a frying pan with fried eggs is another nice little touch. Just keep the line fun.
>>11771065What if I think alternate hands are fun though
>>11771056>People complain if they stray too far from the retro designs regardlessThat's not a blanket statement for me. For some figures, it's good that they pulled away from the original to produce a new more-ellaborate version. Crystal Ball comes to mind. For others, trying to update a classic looks like shit. Battle armor Baroness, Tripwire, and the Cobra blueshirts come to mind.
>>11771045>someone who actually understands firearms designing their weapons. My nigga. While we're at it, mag pouches for said weapons. They don't have to function, but they do have to.look like they'd hold the correct magazines.
>>11770589This got me thinking
>>11771113Ooo, I like that Jai-alai Viper head on there.
>>11771113Somehow you improved both figures..
I wonder will Hasbro ever create a needed Cobra Navy leader for Classified?
>>11771113I think it would make more sense if all vipers were weird genome therapy mutants/cyberpunk freaks or whatever instead of just SOME of them
>>11771164There was a never-named female Cobra submarine commander in "not a ghost of a chance," and she appears to be the only naval officer in the Cobra ranks. Some in the fanbase call her "Siren" even though that's not official.
>>11771190It was implied that Cobra was doing genetic experiments on its own soldiers back in 1985. Mara is one of those experiments.
>>11771164>I wonder will Hasbro ever create a needed Cobra Navy leader for Classified? There's no Cobra Air Force leader either, and they have a much bigger Air Force than Navy. Take away the cartoon-only submarines and it may as well be the Cobra Coast Guard.
I kinda hope we get more civil servants
>>11771231Wild Weasel is essentially the Cobra Air Force leader per file cards.
>>11771190It's just a reference to that toy originally being a Cobra-La figure before it had to be changed
>>11771265right but Range-Vipers are like man-made wendigos for example
>>11770817Same.
>>11771257He's their best pilot, but originally that's all he was. Did later filecards promote him?>>11771265>It's just a reference to that toy originally being a Cobra-La figureI'm not convinced the original Frag-Viper toy was a Cobra-La design, it's very obviously weaing man-made clothing with pouches and bootlaces, the helmet looks metal, with man-made breathing gear. Compare with Darklon or the Nullifier, who look more obviously non-human.
>>11771255I would have grabbed some of these if I had seen them on clearance like everyone else but they vanished instantly when they hit half off. >>11771113Nice >>11771078Absolutely. Like 90% of these figures have barely any spare mags, the wrong extra mags, or no visible weapon storage whatsoever. These dudes are running around with literally no ammo. While we’re at it, spare mags are stored on the body bullets up, not down. It’s obvious to me that the Joe team somehow has a very low understanding of base level shit for the subject matter they’re pushing. Pic rel, Hit & Run’s rifle which is so nice until you realize he has no way of aiming because his front sight is folded down..or whatever the fuck he has going on. There are carry handles with a rear sight or even ones that have a hole down the middle you can see through but that’s not the case here without your imagination
>>11771065>sgt slaughter >battle armor cc I bet you don’t own either of those figures
>>11771482why wouldn't someone own battle armor CC?
>>11770589and Lowlight did all that at 10
>>11771499I did ur mom at 10
>>11771504>>11771482Are you even a fan of GI Joe? Why are you here? All you do is throw crap with the hopes of starting a pointless internet-argument. >>11771265True, but soldiers who live in constant darkness are going to get pale really fast, so the pale face does lend to the backstory of night vipers.
>>11771623#NoJoes
>>11771483I believe he is illustrating the fact that the other anon is making suggestions and expressing desires for a toy line that he does not collect
>>11771679>>11771681I actually do. You're just a shit-slinger with nothing better to do than pick pointless internet arguments. You fucking twisted my saying that the line needs to be more fun into a claim that I don't own anything. And why? There is no reason.
>>11771483>why wouldn't someone own battle armor CC?I think some guys are waiting in hope that Hasbro will eventually do a comic-themed re-release with a Fred VII head instead of the DIC cartoon-themed accessories.
>>11771711The one we got is still great, but not gonna lie: I'd love a Fred version too. Hopefully a re-release will have some silver paint to shine up the armor instead of sort-of-silver plastic.
>>11771708>And why? There is no reason. It was explained very concisely in the previous post you just replied to. Here it is again for your reference >>11771681
>>11771708Ok. Post your Slaughter and Armored Cobra Commander. I’ll wait.
>>11771781I keep my shit in storage bins. I've dug it out for you before when you did the exact same crap over Rattler Baroness. I'm not playing along with you again because fuck you for insisting on ruining every Joe thread with your bullshit.
Classified JoeBros, are there any rifle scabbards in the scale? I could have sworn I saw one, but maybe I'm thinking of the machete scabbards in the Action Force and Operation Monster Force lines.
>>11771804>Rattler Baroness Wasn’t me. Sounds like this is business as usual for you. So, they’re in bins eh? Are they even open? Are the bins even in your home? Do you weigh over 300lbs?
>>11771804>I hate posting images of toys!>goes to an IMAGEBOARD to discuss toysFuck off back to the Hisstank.com forums. Or will they not tolerate you because you're such a huge faggot?
>>11771815>rifle scabbardsStalker has one
>Bobby pullin some mcfarlane bullshit againShame, I kinda wanted a Ghost stand-in
>>11771884Idk what it is but not a single Valaverse figure appeals to me. There is something intrinsically off about them. They look exactly like those Action Force figures from Walmart lol
>>11771843That's the one I was thinking of. Much appreciated, anon.>>11771884Kinda dig the skeletal gloves.
>>11771903I'm the same, the only one I have really liked and wanted was the Warpath Eclipse, but of course, like always I discovered her too late and she is unobtainable.
>>11771903They're very stocky and bulbous, and the degree to which he shrinks the size of the torso to fit the vests goes overboard. The only reason I keep an eye on the line anymore is for accessories. >>11771913>Warpath EclipseThat was actually the last figure I got from him, didn't like the size difference between her and the Classified women. I didn't really notice it at first with the Steel Brigade cause of the helmet, but it was very apparent with her giant noggin
Unannounced Classified item arrived at port. Codename: CS HER SQUISHFACE lol what’s it gonna be boys?
>>11771921Ah yeah, I see.
The upcoming releases of Dawn Morena, Mistress Armada and Energon Baroness make me hopeful for comic baddies Chameleon, Heartwrencher, Munitia, Crimson Asp, Dr Knox, etc
>>11769249
>>11771903they’re just really bland, they look like call of duty larpers or something. it is basically lacking all of the elements that make gi joe fun
>>11771040This and Alley Viper mog the Classifieds.
>>11771925Anagram for Chef Squarish. It's Roadblock v2.
>>11772162wow can't wait for you to talk about for the next 3 years until it actually releases and then still not ever buy it
>>11770876
>>11772162it's honestly better than the classified one. vintage look but updated, almost anime and cyberpunk with the mask.
>>11770794>The girl is mine!
>Comes with 4 fucking heads and no extra hands This is so stupid. I was going to buy several of these and I’m just gonna stop myself I think. Also I don’t need any of those extra armor parts at all. The more I stare at this thing idk what I think anymore. He’s way more buff and way more mutant looking than he should be too but I’m deciding if that bothers me or not. Finally there is the fact that these will inevitably hit clearance..but then I won’t be able to find them. Quite the conundrum of a figure.
>>11772165Lmao yup
>>11772255I got three of them, they're solid aside from not having extra hands
>>11772255Yeah it's shitty. Starduster hands work okay if you have him.
>>11772279>StardusterI already had my eye on him. So apparently he showed up at Ross last year for fucking 7.99? Damn
Got charged for the Ramp Rats just now.
>>11772162The regular Viper looks kinda neat, like something out of Resolute or something, but that Alley Viper looks weird to me. And this is coming from someone who's favorite Viper is the Alley Viper. He just looks over designed. Why does he have like a random grinning head pauldron/shoulder pad?Why does Hiya swipe most of the Classified designs, and then there are these just random, off-the-wall designs?
>”Just the brain case sir, that’s all we found..”
>[{Do not let them leave with that brain, Viper. Take them out now!}]
>>11772255yeah i really don't understand why classified doesn't include extra hands on most figures, id much rather have them over a third gun or knife
>>11772255>>11772897Extra heads encourage army building, extra hands do not. With the Royal Guard for instance, you can buy multiples of him, alternate his different heads, armors and wings and end up with like four of em who are all have a unique trait but are all cohesively a unit. Extra hands wouldn't accomplish that same goal of pushing you to buy more then one figure, because just changing the hands wouldn't change the look of the figure. That said, extra heads AND extra hands is clearly the best and most correct option.
I like Deep-Six. Do him right Classified
>>11771921I agree with stocky and bulbous. The first waves were fine, but now the bodies just look deformed. I just got this guy and he's pretty cool, though.
>>11771504at ten you got boofed by a plastic broom and it turned you into the faggot you are today.
>>11772390Hiya didn't design any of these.Everything Hiya has released are all directly from Hasbro's original designs that were meant for the Classified line before all the fans shat on the new designs. Hasbro did a giant U-turn on designs after sales fell flat and they had to cater to nostalgifags only, which means that there's a 1:12 Alley Viper prototype with that same design at Hasbro's HQ.You can see that Alley Viper's design in the original poster art or whatever this is.
>>11773231your mom is a plastic broom?
>>11773266NtA, but that's a shame. They ought to tool it up with the snake mask & Cobra sigil shield and release that bad boy in yellow and black.
>>11773256Is that a Delta force Chuck Norris?
>>11773417Awww the bot is trying to show us his collection. Cute
>>11773266>after sales fell flatIs there data for that? I figured it was the other way around. Older fans were going nuts for new Joes and they figured it'd be safer to pivot towards their sensibilities for even more sales.
>>11773441>Older fans were going nuts for new Joes and they figured it'd be safer to pivot towards their sensibilities for even more sales.so you're in bizarro world?kids sure love nostalgia designs and oldfags sure love reboots over there, huh?
>>11773441>>11773449His source is his ass. He wants to believe that the rest of us hate what he hates and likes what he likes. Hasbro has done an awesome job of balancing the new and retro in Classified. Neither side really dominates.
>>11773467>Hasbro has done an awesome job of balancing the new and retro in Classified. Neither side really dominatesThat's wrong. A lot of the Retro Classified line is the new shit designs redecoed in classic 80s colors. Look at Retro Baroness, Retro Lady Jaye, Retro Cobra Trooper. It's fucking infuriating.
>>11773449Sigma Six Classified Scarlett with anime stylized face and sexy skin tight outfit when?
>>11773501It's not and won't ever be an all-new line based on all-new designs. Everything will always be vintage-derived. Some of it will be close to original likenesses, some will be vintage-inspired, and some will be all-new stuff. So it's balanced enough. And that's how it should be because not a single person's want list is made up of "surprise me with shit that's never been done ebfore."
Classified Scale Mauler from Ramen Toys cause Hasbro is being a bitch and only making vehicles with shovel ware to jack it up to $350+.
>>11773551I'm not sleeping on it this time like I did with their prior tank. Going to have to order this one as soon as it goes up.
>>11773551Final prototype will be shown at Joe Fest in late June.
>>11773600Yea, I might actually get this one. Wasn't really into the Mobat as it's just a regualr tank. But the Mauler design feels more GI Joe to me. Inbetween realistic military and the later outlandish vehicles as the series went on.
Since I sacrificed my NF Shockwave, I picked up the default. Debating whether to do a boot swap with my leftover RAM Breaker
>>11773645Also bit the bullet on Low Light.
>>11773551Looks better-proportioned than the Hunter. I'm curious how squashed the proportions on the F-14 are gonna be, though.
>>11773513My point is Retro Classified is better than the new designs Hasbro tried to push at the start based on that failed video game. So why does Retro Classified need to use recolors of the redesigns that suck?
>>11773654They won't make a Skystriker (or Night Raven). It would be 4 feet long if they did, and cost north of $500.
>>11773501>>11773661Because they're cheap, are you new?
>>11773504I would unironically love a Sigma Six line of Classified figures, I had no problems with the designs from the show only the blocky, large figures themselves. >>11773551>>11773604Interesting, guess I'll keep an eye out for early bird pricing. I was holding out hope they'd do a tan version of the double laser turret tank, but I'd honestly much rather have the Mauler. Even if Hasbro were to make one as a Haslab, it'd be at least two years before we could even order it, and another year+ before it got in hand. >>11773626I always felt the same and I hated how the Mobat was always pushed as the Joe MBT. Not only is the Mobat itself a boring, outdated looking tank, it's got absolutely no figure integration mechanics so it's not even fun to play with. I'm sure when it first came out the auto rolling gimmick was fun but overall, as a Joe vehicle, it was always super boring. >>11773661IIRC the biggest issue with the original Classified figures weren't their designs, people thought they looked fantastic and the modern upgrades were fairly well received. The Joepro especially was a nice little addition to the line, and helped tied the team together. But the colors, the shiny gold metal armor pieces, were a massive turn off for many people. It felt too clean and gaudy for the Joes, and didn't really make sense for them. Their more toned down re-release repaints looked way better with the more flat greens. It's honestly a shame they dropped that more modern aesthetic so fast, but it was really the flop of the awful snake eyes movie that really caused them to change directions.
Are there any non-shill Joetubers?
>>11773816there's anti-shill ones who treat every new reveal/release as a personal insult

Plus wholely new characters that aren't just the old mold in new colors and some random accessories. Also, their updates were better, hence having super strong sales, enough that stores expanded their GI Joe sections for years and cartoons were made after proving it was popular enough to sustain high sales>>11773833that's unfair, because a lot of those fans were much more positive before, because Hasbro's releases were better before.
>>11773910almost as unfair as you spamming all day every day about poor sales with nothing to back it up other than anecdotes about specific walmarts not having the figures
>>11773913>implying Hasbro will ever admit sales are poor Hasbro didn't even announce they lost WAlmart and Target support when GI Joe became a TRU/online exclusive in 2014. In fact, they were crowing about sales in 2013 and how the movie bolstered its popularity. https://investor.hasbro.com/news-releases/news-release-details/hasbro-reports-growth-first-quarter-2013So if this were 2013, you'd be saying>Walmart and Target actually stopped carrying GI Joe toys because sales were good... ignoring that Hasbro is only referring to what stores ordered and not the mountains of stock that Walmart/Target couldn't sell.Funny enough, 99% of that stock didn't go to Marshalls/TJMax/Ross, because it was still popular enough to sell through at the primary stores. And yeah, thanks for reminding me that Walmarts and now Targets no longer carrying the lines in many of its stores is another sign of great sales, amirite?
>>11773943>Walmart and Target actually stopped carrying GI Joe toys mine didn't
I made the Baron Ironblood out of three $40 figures so you don't have to. I really like the idea of doing things like this to get around copyright laws but would prefer it designated to just two figures thanks, since I guess they don't want to do the retarded things DBZ third party figures have to do It's a nice figure though all things considered

>>11774270It was crap, and was a total ret-con that pissed off the classic Joe fans paired with all sorts of ninja crap that new audiences just didn't give a shit about. Throw in SE unmasked and race-flipped to further piss people off. Most classic Joe fans made up their minds to not see it with the first trailer showing a race-flipped unmasked SE having a new origins story. Plus throwing in the deliberately-uglification of another one of their most iconic characters to "FIGHT MALE COOMER GAZE" bullshit.
>>11773266Fucking boomers. This is why we can't have nice things.
>>11774353Or you could look at it as Hasbro playing the "long game" with the line, and them making decisions on how they'll keep the line going for years to come. If they released their best shit all at once, then the line would have only lasted for two years. That long game is why we're in year 7 of the line, and still no firebat or polar battle bear while fans say there's better ways to re-do characters already done. They clearly intend it to be like Star Wars and He-Man, and intend for it to be around for a couple of decades. They of course fuck up by doing waves that were either over-produced, or full of characters people didn't give a shit about, which did cause stores to drop the line. So they do take risks while playing the long game.
>>11773952Does any one of them look like Red Vulture?

I waxed and waned all week long over how many Royal Guards to grab. In the end I settled on one to check it out before I drop more cash. At first I was fine with the one, I was actually pretty disappointed with it, but I modded his abdomen and now I like him a ton more. Now I want more but I spent the money on a Vamp lol. The designers of Classified and ML as well are leaving tons of articulation on the table by not hollowing out a few parts or at least molding some channels into molded parts. The back of the recent Spiderman 2099’s neck is a good start that someone there seems to understand this.
>>11774902>The designers of Classified and ML as well are leaving tons of articulation on the table by not hollowing out a few parts or at least molding some channels into molded parts.I got a loose Desert Scorpion today, and hag to do some neck and collar trimming to eke out a little more range.Looks like I'm gonna have to fool with the backpack peg, too.
>>11775014Yeah that backpack wont stay on for shit huh? It’s a double whammy of the peg being too long and too rubbery. I shortened it a bit and that helped a lot
>>11774606>>11773952Why did they make these guys originally anyway? Like originally in the 80s, not these remakes
>>11775081They were part of the Action Man which is what they borrowed from in the UK to get Action Force from GIJoe. The cartoon is what pushed them to bridge materials together.
>>11775030I went with a different set of webbing, so I ended up making a longer peg out of a nail. Definity too short in any case.>>11775081The very short version is that Action Force was a British toy line, and these were their villain faction.

>>11774270That film honestly feels like it was a generic action flick that just had the G.I. Joe stuff tacked on in post. For their smaller vehicles, they've done the Ferret, Claw, Trouble Bubble and Ram Cycle (and their repaints). These aren't some B-Tier vehicles like the Polar Battle Bear...nobodies favorite vehicle...these are some of THE most iconic rides in the whole franchise. So once again, I ask you to point out which which amazing A-lister release have they up to this point ignored? Because every time you post that dumbass rant I ask the same exact question and every time it just goes ignored.

>>11775665Yeah, I think my biggest complaint is that they should've come out last year around when the Rattler hitBut at least they had a quick as fuck turnaround time, too, announced and shipped inside of a month. I wish that would happen more often.
>>11775672>But at least they had a quick as fuck turnaround time, too, announced and shipped inside of a month. I wish that would happen more often.Definitely.
>>11775146Hasbro licensed the early GI Joe toys to British company Palitoy, who already had the license for rebranding the older 12 inch Joes in the UK under the name 'Action Man'. Palitoy sold the 80s toys under the name Action Force, frequently the toys were repainted and renamed, they also produced their own original figures, the Red Shadows were a villain faction they came up with. Eventually they released more figures under their original names, and the comic had the Red Shadows' leaders become Cobra Commander and Destro. Then Palitoy went out of business and Hasbro relaunched Action Force, using the same name in some other countries as well, at first focusing mostly on the 1985 GI Joe toys. Marvel UK launched a new comic, mixing original material and reprints of the US comic, and completely disregarding characters and stories from the Palitoy era. After a few years Hasbro rebranded Action Force as GI Joe internationally.
>>11775651Because they're useless without the Rattler which not everyone has. However Hasbro did sell just a hair under 27,000 Rattlers, so there's enough Rattlers out there to make it worth producing the ramp rats.
>>11775682>Because they're useless without the Rattler which not everyone has. Dumb reason. If they didn't buy the rattler, don't buy these either. Or use them as SNAKE or CLAW mechanics if they're that autistic about it.
>>11775262>That film honestly feels like it was a generic action flick that just had the G.I. Joe stuff tacked on in post.I don't know, parts of it feel like it started out as an effort to adapt Snake Eyes' comic origin, but modernized because he and Storm Shadow couldn't meet in the Vietnam War anymore, but Hollywood writers just had to keep adding more things to it to make their own mark. I thought they were going for something more grounded than the earlier movies until they introduced a magic crystal and giant snakes.>Best part of the movie.I don't think we've had a perfect live-action Baroness yet. What's sad is that they've managed to cast a hot Scarlett twice over and underused her both times.

>>11774902I got one myself today, I absolutely love him. I do wish he had a bit more torso range and might break out the dremel to give him some more like I did with Roadpig, but that aside I think he might be my favourite Classified figure thus far.Probably gonna stick with just the one though; In my collection he'll be a Cobra-La mercenary working for Cobra named "Megasoma". Despite his terrifying appearance and inhuman strength he's a pretty chill guy by Cobra (or Cobra-adjacent) standards. Just don't let him catch you hurting bugs or he'll hurt you.
>>11775081Action Force was a Brittish military toyline independent from GIJoe. It had it's own molds and characters. At some point it started using licensed GIJoe molds from figures and vehicles, though they were reskinned (different everything, just using the molds). Eventually GIJoe proper with non-reskinned figures and vehicles was marketed in the UK under the existing Action Force brand, so it was all like the same brand for UK customers.
>>11775931>In my collection he'll be a Cobra-La mercenary working for Cobra named "Megasoma". Something off about this guy, hard to pinpoint what it is exactly
>>11776578Other than the pistol in the chest rig not being silver, the ribbing on the trousers should only be in the outside of the legs. He's pretty faithful to the original.Should have done the superior v.2 design, though.
>>11776578Plastic is too shiny. It needs a flat coat to make it look more realistic.
Think I sold myself on a second loose Desert Scorpion. Wish he had the correct hinge orientation on the right hand, but the Alley Viper gun being a southpaw weapon it makes sense.Or, you know, move to ball hinge wrists and then never worry about it again.
>>11776435Double DragonMortal KombatIt looked like shit. You're just being your usual self of being a professional contrarian. That movie sucked in every damn way. >>11776438It's just my opinion, but I don't think there has been a good GI Joe movie. I did like how Cobra Commander looked in Retaliation, though.
>>11776578He, like nearly every non-masked figure in this line with a face has an extremely dorky looking sculpt. I can count on one hand how many faces in this line don’t look retarded. Actually only one comes to mind which is Bludd. Starduster’s is pretty nice too
New headcannon just dropped: Rather than being the most annoying creature on the face of the Earth, the constant LALALALALALA the Royal Guards say, that noise is actually emitted from their version of a flashbang grenade.
>>11776679>>11776739>>11776802I was referring to the proportions. He's kinda stumpy despite his height. Head sculpt is still a bit fucked though, I already removed some of the paint on the lower lip, but I'm tempted to sand down the massive chin a bit.
>>11776818A huge number of classified figures have "He-Man" proportions with the arms and legs being the same length. Well really the O-ring classics did too.
>>11776822True but for some reason it's bothering me more on him. Maybe it's the choice of torso, cause the retro viper didn't look that off to me. Shortening him with a replacement may make the head look even bigger though

They'd go great with the SNAKE Armor, or launching some CLAWs or Flight Pods. Not to mention any future Cobra vehicles they eventually drop. You know a Firebat or FANG are both very possible.>>11776438I dunno, the nuking of the Eiffel tower and the final undersea sub battle felt VERY Joe like. Retaliation by comparison was just dull, none of the Joes had character, the "vehicles" all felt poorly composited and ducted taped into the film and the entire thing revolved around The Rock™ playing The Rock™ doing The Rock™ things. Also, Ninjas.Though to be perfectly fair, both movies were just awful.>>11776743I was so tempted to grab a second version of this guy when I saw a pile of em on sale at Target. But of all the Cobra troop builders...he was always the *least* troop buildery for me. Right down to the fact he's not a "Viper" class trooper, he's Desert Scorpion. Even back as a kid he was always a one off badass in my Cobra army. It figures the one "troop builder" they can't sell is the one I don't want multiples of.I ended up getting the Diver set instead. Though now I kinda need to get a second to make these guys into actual troop builders.>>11776775You're responding to multiple people guy. Yes the Snake Eyes movie sucked, but Baroness was hot. She also had a pretty decent figure, though I use her as Vypra with the Coil Baroness Helmet. Also, the original Mortal Kombat movie was fantastic.>>11776818He's got them Benoit arms.
Predictions?
>>11776934I preordered it just now, hopefully it's something I won't want to cancel.
>>11776934it's an odd price, but I think pic related is the only confirmed walmart exclusive on the horizon
>>11776934Well at $42 it's a fat-pack with lots of stuff. Looking at the rumors list, it could be Stalker with kayak or Serpentor. I'd like to hope it's one of the two rumored Baroness figures, but probably not.
>>11776940DIRE Night Creeper is Walmart exclusive
>>11776945Yeah, never mind, I confused Ninja Force for being the Walmart thing, but it's seemingly the Target thing, because of Ninja Force Zartan.
>>11776934>Legacy Its another Action Solider type figure

It's nice having world building figures like that available and I hope they do something similar with Greenshirt Joes.
Confession... I am loving Grim Viper way more than I wanted to.I am a huge Range Viper fan and was super fucking pissed that Has to made him an impossible to find online only Walmart exclusive. I hated even more than Hasbro didn't give a shit about how impossible he was and instead that out an ugly red version and making the mass release a green camo repaint based on an obscure version of the figure.Yet.... Maybe it's the color scheme seeing it in person, the new vest, the big fucking gun... It looks way fucking better that I thought it would be.In a lot of ways, Grim Viper has serious Dark Romance vibes going for him in a good way. Really great figure!
>>11777334>Dark Romance vibes
>>11777334I actually liked the red and black Range Viper, but it was stupid for them to make the regular one a Walmart exclusive.I did like the Grim Viper, though. Just looks like a beefy tank Range Viper. I kind of wanted to find a way to put some shoulder pads on him, and strap some more ammo bandoliers to him to bulk him up more and make him look like even more of a tanky wall.
>>11777336
>>11777337>I actually liked the red and black Range Viper, but it was stupid for them to make the regular one a Walmart exclusive.Correction: it's exclusive to the small % of Walmarts that bother carrying Classified to make exclusives to be an even bigger pain in the ass to find.
Man it's a shame Clutch and the VAMP are pretty expensive now. Been reading the comics and Clutch constantly hitting on Scarlett is pretty funny, would be nice to have those two.I should probably read more before I decide who I want on my Joe team (just got to Springfield and Dr. Venom's introduction) but Stalker is definitely on the list. He's great.
>>11777478Find a cheap STINGER, and repaint it. I know it won't be the same but that's your cheapest option.
>>11777478Vamp will likely get a repaint and clutch will get a single retro card release. Both Walmart Con exclusive of course.
>tfw you’ve got a Vamp on the way in the mailFeels good. I got a smokin deal on it. Too bad all the Gridiron parts I want for it are another $150
>>11777478Hey I just read some of that last night, I liked the whole Dreadnok War arc
>>11777562Maybe not thanks to the Stinger not selling so well.
I have been waiting patiently for the Tiger Sting. I bet it’s never coming. They probably cancelled it when the RAM sold like shit.
>>11777696they probably cancelled when target switched to ninja force
>>11777696It's still possible. Anything really is at this point. But I can see them doing the desert VAMP with tan Clutch first.
>>11777673Ah I meant the old Marvel comics, but I need to check out the Skybound stuff, I hear it's pretty great.
>>11777709The tiger force figures didn't do so well either, so they're probably feeling like tiger force in classified form isn't a good idea.

>>11778851ur gay
>>11776818Zesty eyebrowsAlso it looks like they meant for him to have huge traps like Slaughter, but since it doesn't look like that and all you see is the vest it looks like his neck is just ridiculously long
>>11778853I do dress like a tiger force joe, so you might be onto something
>>11778613>>11778851Looking back, I didn't particularly like any of the TF figures, except for Outback, who remains probably my favorite Classified figure on the Joe side.
>ordered a Snow Job even though a retro is likely right around the corner
>>11778874When it comes to the originals I like Roadblock, Recondo, and Tripwire. TF just doesn't work in Classified form at all for me.
>>11779091>Also, we've mentioned it several times but it doesn't hurt to say it again. Certain figures will NEVER include polarizing red/black/white iconography. This line will prioritize accuracy however, this symbol will never be shown. While we understand that purists don't have a problem with that symbol but at Valaverse, our stance is that it will never be included. Ready for your non-nazi nazis, cuck?
>>11779348Red/black/white confuses me slightly. Party arm bands weren't worn on combat uniforms. Does he mean no SS runes on collar tabs? No cap, sleeve or breast eagles period? No EKII button ribbons? I would presume eagles and EKs with Xs.DiD will save me from New Joisey sensitivities.
>>11779367Since he didn't single out swastikas, I assume he ment everything, iron crosses, eagles, and lightning bolts included.
>>11779375Ooof. Guess we find out for sure at DFW at the end of the month.

Did some more Dremel therapy on the Royal Guard's waist and chest sockets, I think I'm happy with the range now- he can do a pretty good Yamaguchi Thrust. Kinda wish they'd moulded him like this to begin with but it's no big deal and I'm super glad I have him. Also, got some stuff from Pulse coming; Retro Cardback Sgt. Stalker and Scarlett (Stalker was down to like £11 and I really like him in the comics so I couldn't say no) and Desert Snake Eyes (down to £15, I know he's an older mould but he looks cool and I really like the desert camo scheme). Will be nice for Officer Carl to finally have some good guys to back him up.
>>11779947Now he looks like some dude is about to get butt-raped.
>>11779947>Did some more Dremel therapy on the Royal Guard's waist and chest socketsNice. >Also, got some stuff from Pulse comingNice. >>11779951These are intrusive thoughts that’s should be kept to yourself as they are exclusive to you

Reminds me, I need to do some sketches and start work on the Cobra OC I came up with. Torn between "Cottonmouth" and "Forktongue" but leaning towards the former.>Real name: ???>Cobra psy-ops specialist.>She uses her expertise at social engineering and psychology (and cosplay) to turn the youth against G.I. Joe under the guise of various social media influencers and internet personalities. Undermines the culture of targets from the roots, making them more likely to support Cobra. Plays both sides to further Cobra's agenda, often impersonating members of both sides of a debate. Incredibly intelligent and an expert at subliminal messaging and hypnosis, even though she has no real value as a combatant she is one of the most dangerous of Cobra's female agents. Nobody knows her true identity except for Cobra Commander himself, who keeps it a secret from the rest of the organization; nobody quite trusts her but none are immune from her wiles, and as such she is often utilized for rooting out subterfuge in Cobra's own ranks. She has little actual loyalty to Cobra's cause, but finds the mind-games she pulls for the terror organization so enjoyable she is more or less guaranteed to stay true. At least, unless a better offer came up...
>>11780257>Reminds meWhat did?
>>11780296The discussion of modding/customizing Joes, I guess. I dunno, it's just a turn of phrase.
>>11780257>A Cobra agent who's profession is shit-posting the Joes on Facebook and tiktokDepict her as short, fat, an arm that's a full tattoo "sleeve," give her face piercings, and depict her with short purple hair. Also give her the most expensive model of Apple IMac notebook with a "fuck capitalism" sticker on it. Cobra Commander hides her because he doesn't want Cobra's hot chicks like Baroness and Zarana to pick on her.
>>11780735Holy shit that's incredible. I might have to do that now.
Got these three in today. Really fun figures; Stalker is probably the weakest of the bunch by a hair, his tolerances are a bit stiff and he's the least interesting to look at but he's still great. Love his machine gun and dat headsculpt, also I love the character in the comics. Scarlett is a really great figure, only thing I'm not so keen on is the subpar accessory storage. Snake-Eyes might actually be my favourite, he looks so cool and even the pins don't bother me.
>>11780257Kek, I remember making pic related when I saw your pitch the first time.
>>11781038Heh, nice.
>>11779947Don't mess with the Sugarplum Fairies.
Scarlett also got some Dremel therapy (insert joke about a chick using a pen-sized tool with and electric motor to loosen up here) and her already decent torso range has gone up to 11. Like, damn can she arch her back now. Again I kinda wish they'd just mould the sockets with better cutouts to begin with, but hey, I'll take it- she actually wasn't bad to begin with, this just pushes her over the edge.
>>11781276Show the new and improved forward crunch please, DIY-Anon.
>>11781409Sure! It's a little more limited compared to backwards, but to be fair the sculpt makes it look like she's not as far forwards as she is, also this is without "cheating" and using the hips at all. Definitely an improvement though.
>>11780257Why create a new character when you can just have Buzzsaw do that? Remember, Buzzsaw is evil Hunter Thompson, if Thompson has gone full native and joined the Hells Angels while writing his book on him?
>>11781414Cool, not too bad, thanks Anon.
>>11779951How is that different?
>>11781276I know it's just my nit-picking opinion, but I don't like ugly torso joints. They break up the visual aesthetic of figures. There are a lot of "human" characters (especially Japanese figures) that look more like androids than representations of people because of the over-articulation. For the past couple of years Hasbro has been doing a good job overall with concealing that torso joint with vests, bandoliers, etc.
>>11781728It's why I like underboob cuts instead of those ones around the rib cage that loads of the Chinese blank figures do. It might not get the same range but it looks way more natural.
>>11781769I like it better when it's completely concealed for a visually-clean figure.
>>11781789Outside the stupid hair swap shit, why do people hate this figure again? It's a decent adaptation of comic Zarana and does anyone actually want ugly bull dyke toy Zarana?
>>11781861The facial expression. It's the only bad part. otherwise it's #2 in terms of female figures behind Rattler Baroness.
>>11781513....because that's not what Buzzer does. Buzzer doesn't engage in social media based information warfare to affect the hearts and minds of his foes and allies alike. Buzzer uses a chain saw to cut things up. Buzzer don't wanna use his educated background to do brain things, Buzzer wants to literally chainsaw all that techno crap into scrapyard junk.
>>11781861>>11781866It was right around the time they started ramping up the number of figures they were producing in a single year, and they must've taken some shortcuts cause figures were getting really shitty quality wise. The arms would wiggle at the bicep a lot and sometimes pop off. The right shoulder hinge also fused cause the glue they used on the shoulder pads seeped into them somehow, at least that's how it was on the two copies of her I got. Also the face print on one of mine was so misaligned that it looked like cum was seeping out of her mouth cause the white for the teeth ended up on her bottom lip.
>>11781908I did have the bicep problem, but otherwise I really like her. She was my first one mind.>Also the face print on one of mine was so misaligned that it looked like cum was seeping out of her mouth cause the white for the teeth ended up on her bottom lip.Hot.
Another one bites the dust
>>11781925Not surprising and it’s 100% because of the headquarters move. More people across hasbros various teams will be announcing their departure soon.
>>11781908Really? Mine is perfect with no production flaws. I guess I got lucky. I do believe you, though. Michael Mercy did a YouTube video review of his, which had a bad arm that refused to stay on. >>11781931That's only true if the companies they're getting new jobs with are in the city they're already living in. If they moved anyway then it's something else.
>>11782006New one's up with updated release schedule now that we're once again in auto-sage territory.
Fin.
>>11781888>Buzzer is the most highly-educated Dreadnok>Buzzer is consistently the most retarded Dreadnok in both the comics and the cartoons
>>11781925 Good news for me. a lot of individuals in problematic design choices at Bossfight are gone.
