I think with absolutely everything though and just from the basis of them both being in-character, Alex is absolutely going to be the one who goes for full lethality first - he's going to say something Luke disagrees with or Luke is going to question him on why he's constantly angry and having violent freak outs or Alex is going to try and gaslight himself into thinking Luke can't possibly be a 'real' human, and then shit is going to go downhill crazy fast. Luke with access to abundant mana has the ability to kill him in moments, but he still has to put his body through the motions and his personality is going to be WAY less likely to try and use lethal force against what looks to be a talking person - and more than that, a member of his own kind no less. For Alex with the full power of the Algorithm, it would only take a single thought to have Luke explode into a shower of gore on the spot. And if this is post-Epilogue Ascended Alex then he pretty much deletes Luke with trivial ease. Though I don't think it's necessarily fair to put Luke up against a God, so I'm going to assume it isn't.
