[Tournament Announcement, from last thread]The Drakorai Tournament will not be resuming. I will be attempting to write a story based on the concept and prompt — ideally, using the characters that signed up. However, I know that writing someone else’s character(s) may be contentious, and as such, I would like to first have positive permission to use your characters in the story. Loss and injury are likely for most, if not all participants, in some way, shape, or form. Given that my writing style can be gratuitous at the best of times, if you have any concerns or compunctions to that end feel free to not provide permission. To be entirely honest, for the story to be sensible in any reasonable length I need to tighten up the cast. If you would like to move from combatant to spectator, that is also perfectly acceptable.After the story is written, I’ll post it and a poll, allowing people to vote on whether to hold it as canon. I haven’t yet decided on whether or not to provide rewards at the end given the circumstances or to keep hold of them until a later event — I will bring that up once we come closer to the actual conclusion of the writing process before going through the process of revisions and editing.Tl;dr Tournament event is dead and is being rewritten as a side-story. If you want your character included, you can reply to this post with permission and pertinent information. Otherwise, it is assumed that you do not wish to be included.
