Time to share another story idea that popped into my head that I probably won't write but don't want to forget about at the same time. If the monster hunter thread was up I would have posted about it there but alas that general won't be available until wilds releases.
The story would start out as followed, set in the world of monster hunter:
>A married couple gain a reputation for themselves as an effective hunting duo (guy uses hammer, girl uses bow).
>As their skills grow, they take on more daring hunts into unexplored territory. This leads them to plenty of ruins with secrets galore. Eventually, the two turn more into actual treasure hunters than monster hunters which causes them to gain infamy with the Guild (they should be hunting monsters, not seeking treasure).
>Time passes and the couple stumbles upon a hidden group of tribals (possibly Gajalaka) sitting on a horde of treasure. Despite several warnings from friendly locals, the two jump at the opportunity to pull the biggest heist of their lives.
>This does not go well, and they end up captured by the tribals when attempting to steal one of their golden idols. As they reminisce together during what they believe to be the last few minutes of their lives, the tribals perform a ritual on the two and they black out.
>The guy wakes up first to find himself in the middle of a forest, but it doesn't take long for him to learn that he was somehow transformed into a rathalos. Shenanigans ensue as he explores his new body alongside a flood of chaotic emotions. Then he finds a sleeping rathian nearby, which turns out to be his wife who was also transformed (he knows it's her due to tattered remains of clothes stuck to her).
>More chaos ensues before the two finally calm down and get a grip on the situation. Communication is spotty between them as the only sounds they can produce are rath roars, but with practice they create a written "chicken scratch" language by drawing in the dirt with their claws.

A short bit of time would pass and the son would drop out of training in order to search for his missing parents (alongside his palico companion of course). The idea I have for this is he'd find their secret cave and while investigating it be greeted by his now monstrous parents. After failing to defend himself against what he thinks is a wild rath couple, he quickly learns that it's his real parents. Not sure exactly where the story would lead from here though. Might also include an old wyverian (could be the one who warned the parents about the tribals) who reluctantly is convinced by the son to help find a way to change his parents back to normal. Then probably a run in with the Guild that capture the son's parents believing they're wild monsters who wandered too close to civilization. The son would find a way to save them before going on a journey back to the tribals to find a cure. Not sure if they would actually get cured or not, lots of different ways to end the story from here.

Boring indeed. Not really sure what the "point" of the story would be if it ended like this besides the adventuring parts. Like sure the whole situation helps the two form a deeper bond together and shows that love still prevails even in dire circumstances, but ending it like this feels a little flat.

Decent way to end the story, but I'm also a bit torn on this ending. More so with the "logistics" of it. Do they just live together in a cave and get visits from their son every once in a while? Do they get recognized as people by the Guild somehow and don't have to live in fear from hunters? One crazy idea I also have for this ending is that the wife ends up laying an egg that hatches. Might be too crazy though.

Not serious ending that popped into my mind which could go one of two ways. The cure "works" but ends up turning the couple into anthro versions, or it backfires and turns their son into a rathalos. Would be funny, but probably too stupid for the overall weight of the story.

Basically! Silhouette still looks *mostly* human, especially when wearing a cloak, but somebody looking or talking with them for more than a few minutes would notice. After an initial wave of curiosity, I figure public interest would die down again and they could live relatively normally, even with their changes on display. That might take some months/years though. Couldn't have been the first time something like that has happened, if there was somebody able to make a cure at all. Probably the reason the cure doesn't get them entirely back to normal is because of how long they were affected. (Or a dosing issue. Not enough cure/potion, somebody did the math wrong and didn't consider how big parents had grown. Lots of possible explanations.) Maybe some other tribal group decides they've been blessed after seeing them with the partial features.

Another idea crossed my mind that's probably too crazy as well. This ending plus the egg idea. She lays an egg while a monster but they don't really know what to do with it so they just kind of leave it be in the cave. Then they get partially reverted and the story ends with the egg starting to hatch.

The last time I went with a lewd Skyrim playthrough, I used Sexlab Hormones. The core function was to manipulate your character's proportions according to sexual acts via nodes or tinting your skin or hair, but it had some curses for genderbending, bimbofication, and pivoting into other succubus-related mods. Kind of jank (the former was irreversible unless you enabled the other) with too few means to really invoke these curses, but it had a decent groundwork.

Think I took a look at those two you mentioned and wasn't sure on committing to either. At least, their respective mod authors made them to be permanent with some consequences and I'm guessing the game would just be more annoying to play, as hot as it could be. But that was a good while ago, today I'm out of the loop and not even sure if Sexlab is still relevant given OSex. What was your personal experience with those mods like?

I stumbled across a story a while ago about a guy who gets an alien thing latched onto his lower body which replaces his groin and gives him a thorax thing, then gradually turns him into a human-alien hybrid as well as changes him from male to female, it was called "Star Sex" or something. I think the writer went by xeroxtwo? I'm wondering if anyone knows if it got continued somewhere, or knows of anything similar to it. The concept of a character having their biology tweaked by an alien creature melded with them so dramatically yet retaining plenty of human features, all mixed in an attractive blend of the two is a fun and hot premise.
