What I've figured out of it so far: something called Wolfrush (or, A simple game of Wolf named Rush), where you kinda do a few blitzes of shoot-em-up bosses while building up relationships with the crew over a few loops. After Class is pretty damn old now come to think of it, i think it is pretty cute how there are a reference to Lagoon Lounge early on but i always found the Torahiko Cameo turned full on sidecharacter was a bit much.

Also, in case the dev is looking at this thread for some reason; there is a run ending bug involving the dragon.
If you heal the dragon when he is in his "laying on the couch" animation whilst standing on the spot where his paws/feet usually rest, you'll get stuck inside of his "casual" animation without a way to get out. Forcing you to restart.
The dragon is also missing from the "very, very happy ending" screen.

I think it has potential to do its own thing down the line depending on how it does with the OBVIOUS VILLAIN, but i was really disappointed by the first release, mostly because it fails to actually make you attach to the cast and starts the interpersonal drama too fast before i (the reader) gets to know the character, like the whole fucking thing basically starts with the COON and WOMAN(?) drama and refuses to let you know what the problem even, which would be fine, if it wasn't the fucking only thing happening and it basically blocks you from getting to know the characters (in particular WOMAN), i don't think it helps i think that COON and EVIL DEMON are the only characters with real scene presence and charisma. Played through Timberwoods on itch, it's a pretty decent Grovelike, even if the art's amateurish and the writing could benefit from a non-ESL proofreader.

Too bad the dev seems to have moved on to some other projects, it showed a lot of potential even if there's only one dungeon so far.

It's because a large number of writers left fairly early on, several wrote up a bunch of legalese preventing people from touching or expanding on "their" characters before they quit, other writers want to pull a TiTS/CoC2 and just play in their own personal sandbox to live out their failed author fantasies, and the remaining working crew are stuck between being ADHD retards and having to continuously add new content because they aren't allowed to expand or add upon any of the existing stuff because of the above. Again, I don't see any point in making it so you can have Vincent but can't turn him into Val. Bianca and her pups have some good content but once you bring them to the bunker, everyone but Sturm gets shafted. Then there's Augustus Drake who is the perfect example of some writers just wanting to play out their desire for their OCs to be more important than the player, though you can thankfully ignore him.

I think it is a product of its time, Modular design like that was popular because stuff like CoC made it work and it mean the creators could just get "Guest Writers" and you could cast a wide net by having a little bit of content for everyone, What do kids these days call it? Mixed Toilet? I think it was Renpy and Twine that kinda put a stop to it because people just started to make their own one-man projects focused on the content they wanted instead of joining in on a what practically big collabs with the potential drama that brought and/or just having one obscure character with your fetish you need to grind for 20+ hours and engage in content you dislike to even get it available, with that character potentially not even having more then one scene.

That is a problem for sure with the structure. And the biggest draw of these games is largely the first time experience. Like I saw everything I wanted to the last time I played and have no real drive to go back. Because the current updates are just trying to make as many new things and throw them away as fast as possible. Not much at all, It is a "generic" porn RPGmaker game that uses the battle system for some kinky shit (Grappling mechanics with sprite changes for various steps basically being sex scenes in their own), that's been a thing for years with grove being far from the first, what is going on is arguably more that it introduced the concept of using a certain genre to people with fetish who found it to work very well, so the people who enjoyed it then started making their own takes due being inspired and wanting to make their own (That then may inspire further developers in a chain effect), That said, Prowler at least is by the Grove team and is probably more just that they wanted to make MonHun version of it if i got it right.

Didn't expect a bullet hell shooter thing, probably wouldn't have nabbed a key and left it for someone else cuz I suck at these games.
The very first run I managed to get everyone killed at the armadillo who seems extremely difficult compared to everyone else. Also didn't expect the team members to outright for real die, so that was a surprise. The repeat loop stuff seems interesting though, and I kind of keep expecting it to turn into a horror game.
So far the only bug I found was getting stuck in the dragon when he switches positions which wasn't great but could be worse.

And totally unrelated but I thought the bunny was going to be a femboy and the bird a girl and was massively disappointed when I found out the reverse was true.

We'll see how long it keeps sticking with all the added ballast of those opportunists dragging it down, though.

It is okay, i personally think it been resting on its Laurels after Cyrus got his memory back, part of people not discussing VNs that much in this thread is because there is a VN specific thread like on Friday every two weeks, mind you people still do it but i think people generally do try to be mindful so they don't completely overtake the thread. That RtF doesn't have choices also really harms its applicability since at least with stuff with them you can argue those choses and hunting for endings is the gameplay.
