I genuinely wish furries never existed. They ruined everything for people who just like drawing cartoon animals. When my stuff gets called “furry,” I get so unbelievably discouraged. The label takes away all meaning from my art, because most furry art is just meaningless eye candy or really gross NSFW content. Someone even sent me furry art the other day, which makes me think they assume I am a furry who is into that. No. I hate furries. I just want to be a cartoonist. But it feels like I will never be one as long as I draw cartoon animals. I do not want to draw humans. I have never been interested in drawing humans. But I feel like I will have to force myself to in order to get away from the nasty furry community.
