Now, if only I had figured out what to say on the way down. I'm sure I had lots of time!
>All of those 3D videos had her prepared for this, no matter the height.
>At lot had transpired here, so luckily a few falls would be child's play on the scale of happenings. It was best to not ask how the Owlbserver was so aloof about that plunge. As long as the book was intact.
Thanks for the help!
>If it was the same, then that meant more notes right there and-
A couple of times, or so I think. It says I did!
>Mumei grinned upon examination.
There had to be something for there to be nothing!

Page one... Those guys in the Levant can do a whole lot with stone, huh? Y'think they did commissions for those engravings? It says here that I thought they were nice. Could'a made a few bucks, er berries myself!
>As for the date? 22,000 BC/BCE/BP/etc. Right when the first seeds of civilization were cultivated in Western Asia, the birth of civilization as we knew it. Though they were scattered thought and musings, they very much felt like the firsthand accounts of a survivor.
>Unfortunately, she was only going to make it worse with the turn of the page. Rather, pages. Each mention of Atlantis only grew more and more frequent, some nearing the present year. Not helping matters were the sketches. Its people, architecture. What she ate that day! Shrimp...
Well... You know what they say about loose lips! I'll let you in. They say that because they just want to be neutral like Swiss Miss! Or was that place Switzerland? Well, they just wanna be left alone.
>A click and a hum transpired as she confirmed with herself.
Wanna go there? We've got a buddy.
>Surely this was the tiredness of the night talking. Yet, she had all of the sincerity in the world.

>Deploying to the Moon via balloons? The ensign couldn't help but raise a brow at the idea. A brief and private exchange occurred between the bridge officer and the skipper therein before the former spoke.
(ENS LOS) We copy all. And my captain is admittedly curious and concerned about the operation. Chiefly, if we have enough forces to combat this hostile. They did severely damage the Tip of the Spear en route to Marineford as you may already know.
>Thankfully, repairs and retrofits ensured that the ship was back to 100% status and now had a Sea Prism Stone reinforced hull. But there was still *some* worry to be had by those aboard the frigate, the captain consulting with other skippers and commanders as she tried to preemptively formulate a plan of attack. The UNSC despite whatever reservations they may have at large wouldn't abandon their allies. Especially with an active threat here present on the Moon!

Yeah, it's a bummer one never comes up with a phrase to say on the way done, guess the adrenaline is just too much to think straight.
>IRyS might have fear of heights but she's not gonna say no to doing silly things with her friends, even if they might be risky.
Glad to help! I think that's the only bit of trivia I managed to keep inside my head.

>IRyS glances at the page with excitement fueled by sheer curiosity.
Hehe, we have lots of buddies who could take us there! But I'm not sure if he would like to come, he looks a bit confused already.
>IRyS laughs again, showing some pity for the confused Doctor and maybe mocking him too for being so lost on what these girls are they talling about. She gives him a smile... for some reason it feels too familiar.

"Advanced telescoping courtesy of SSG allowed us to take these blurry captures. The general outline should be enough for recognition. Our man appears to have a ring of some sort as his most defining feature."
>As well as wielding what looks like a staff.

>When there's countless other threats in the Grand Line and four blue seas that require their attention. Admirals aren't omnipresent.
>Nor could they in good conscience ask the UNSC to try flying there again after a Frigate was nearly downed by a mere graze. Plus, the range of this man...
>The UNSC must understand without it needing to be said, discretion and stealth is important.
>After all, this is one single man on the moon.
>It's best to send a team.
"Balloon transport can safely deliver the bounty hunters and mercenaries being called for action."
>...And plus, if mercenaries get wasted, well... They volunteered for something they could die in after all. They don't have to be replaced or families receive pension.
"If the UNSC wishes to assist in some manner, I can phone you in to Vice Admiral Dalmatian. He's in charge of this operation per Sengoku's orders. Transmitting visual of the bounty."

Never think about it too hard. Existential ennui is a pain. Mh...maybe someone from New Genesis could work too...like that would ever happen.
>There was also that time that the Presence left the keys to the kingdom to his granddaughter. Michael fucked. He had a daughter. That daughter is God now. That's just a thing nobody talks about. May not even be canon anymore. Zauriel and Spectre are the most heavenly you get in DC most of the time, and they barely show up.

>Kent begins his chanting. This is...a lot from him. Quite a lot, moreso than even when he was working on that board. Words never spoken before in existence are said and removed from memory as nothing more than a vague feeling that they will never be spoken again either, wrought in to existence for the sake of this instance and this alone.
>Light flickers across the circle, more intricate and densely-layered than any mere demon-summoning would've been.
>All seems to be going well as a shaft of golden light forms within the projection of the circle that it created in the air, right up until the circle flickers and rapidly turns in to just an unstructured disc of gold, and then spooling back in to a proper existence in entirely new form the crest of a unicorn taking the center of it, surrounded by a myriad of other symbols. Kent's shock and confusion is obvious in a singular, simple word.
-What!?

(ENS LOS) Understood.
>By now the captain had heard enough to get involved, one Carol Bishop now interposing herself into the conversation.
(CPT BSP) I see as well. Hmm, if I didn't know any better I'd say discretion is the better part of valor here for this pending operation.
>And here she was thinking of having the Haste link up with the repaired Spear and be joined with the light destroyers Hammer and Anvil for a massive smash attack. Looks like they'd have to be a bit more subtle for this bit, the woman continuing.
(CPT BSP) We have our own means of transport we can enact via our Pelican dropships.
>The Haste's captain seemed in it, the woman getting a look at the five hundred million worth Berry bounty of this so-called "Moon Man", his unfocused imagery causing Carol to frown a bit. Undeterred as any skipper worth her bars, she pressed forward.
(CPT BSP) What else can you or the Vice Admiral tell us about this "Moon Man"? Admiral Borsalino already told us they *might* be a Logia user. Whatever that may mean exactly. Apparently terminating him will be next to impossible for us if he's to be believed and they're quote on quote invincible because of it.

You... have a friend who came from Atlantis... huh.
>The main problem here, for him, is not the implied existence of Atlantis, but that this would then be the 4th(possibly 5th, maybe 6th depending on that mobile game) version of it that he has encountered!

>Whoever these three thought Snake was, their opinion would surely be changed from the sight of the chopper alone. There was a minigun mounted on the side of the chopper that a passenger could make use of, and there were a variety of heavy weapons attached to the front for the pilot to unleash at his leisure. "Headquarters is advising against the presence of all forms of machinery. The Lightning Human on the moon may have the ability to detect all forms of electricity, especially that of running or powered machinery."
>Hence the usage of simple balloons. They run on propane, using hot air to ascend. It eliminates the worry of all but the possible usage of a form of Haki this criminal has.
>Another Marine voice chimes in over the Den Den Mushi relay.
"Logia, it refers to the most powerful class of Devil Fruits, granting people the power to become and control elements of nature."
>The users of Logia were dealt a double edged sword.
>On one hand, they were absolutely invincible unless faced with a weakness of their element.
>On the other, they tended to die the most because they got cocky and faced Haki.
"Headquarters has no information beyond the existence of this man. But the confirmation of a Logia means there's no choice but to apprehend. Attacking military assets must be punished by execution. Headquarters wants him alive."
>We make big showings of these things.
>The UNSC was getting coordinates to their vessel. Dalmatian's ship was where the operation would be carried out from. If they wanted to contribute, the message was clear; Send someone over.

"You're astute."
>A chore boy was already wheeling out boxes containing objects of some bluish metal. There were cuffs, a few polearms of some sort, and knives. Even little tacks and a net or two.
"For this mission, the Navy is supplying a hefty amount of Sea Prism Stone implements made to suppress those with the powers of Akuma no Mi. Our man won't be able to resist them, and they'll strip him of his power. You can have your pick."
>Dalmatian turns his head.
"SET SAIL FOR LAUNCHING POINT, JAYA!"
>"AYE AYE, CHUJO!"
>The sails above dropped, unfurling. The foremost of which bore 'DALMATIAN' in bold letters.

Ha...haha....yes....you were a fool...but a good fight....

No infection...at least not like mine...
>She taps her lance on the ground, there's a rumbling as a massive insectoid beast bursts up from the dirt, it's bizarre jaws digging into the flesh of the Scourge as its Tamer watches.

>If she's worried, he's alarmed. He's stopped what he was doing and seems to be starting to ready a protective spell, but the pillar of light in the center turns in to a ball, then a more oval shape. There's a brief, intense feeling of something that one could only call divinity pulsing from it and the golden shape within, before it violently fizzles out, and instead drops a...short, silver-colored figure, which lands feet-first but, limply, immediately collapses to the ground face first, motionless.

Huh?
>She looks certainly confused at the Doctor due to that odd question. She shakes her head.
I don't think so... you're not one of those stalkers I have, are you?

Sorry, shouldn't be judging strangers that easily. My bad.
>IRyS' cheerful mood returns as Mumei introduces herself to the stranger.
Oh yeah! We forgot to introduce ourselves. This is Nanashi Mumei, guardian of Civilization!
>Shouldn't take much for the Doctor to realize the owl girl's name means just "nameless" twice.

>The news this Lightning Moon Man could sense electricity drew a thoughtful frown from Carol. Well, that ruled out several options then...
(CPT BSP) Noted gentlemen. Since he's apparently made of electricity, do you think rubber munitions might have an effect on him?
>In which case, ODSTs rocking M90A shotguns loaded with rubber buckshot would be issued alongside other special equipment.
>Thinking some more on it, the captain continued.
(CPT BSP) What of this Sea Stone material? I recall in a briefing it may be useful against these so-called Devil Fruit users in some capacity.
>And thinking some more...
(CPT BSP) And what of the Moon itself? Does it ah, have an atmosphere? Or will you need space suits to survive?
>A valid question considering how the UNSC's own celestial body worked. But given this was the Arena, what they knew to be true in their own native universe might not apply here with these others.
>However said questions were to be answered, the warship and her captain got coordinates alongside their desire to capture, instead of kill, the Lunar SOB.
(CPT BSP) Capture him? Interesting. And dangerous considering what he did to one of our vessels. But we're ready to give you people a hand as needed.
>Already a group of ODSTs, fireteam Artemis, was being put together and briefed on the developing situation as the UNSC Make Haste moved in closer to Battleship 13 on the island.

>It seems that there was a mutual feeling in the air between those two parties in particular...
>>77641487
>But there was no time for that now! The doorway explodes as the Tank explodes in its own right out onto the roof!
Shit-!
"What the hell is that thing?!"
>The pilot immediately panicked, but still held his ground- er, so to speak, as Snake turned and ran the rest of the way across the roof until he could jump into the chopper right after Ellis! He landed on the metal with a hard thud, but that didn't keep him from rolling over to shout:
Get us the hell out of here! They're going to bomb the place!
"You got it, Boss!"
>With a quick jerk of the flight stick, the Helicopter veered to the right at a rapid pace, trying to distance itself from the building before the Tank and any of the other zombies could get close!
>But even still, Snake scrambled to get up and pull the mounted minigun around, risking falling out of the chopper entirely for a moment as he turned the weapon and fired it towards the rooftop...!

>JAYA - Island in Paradise.

>It wasn't but three hours before the Arena was merciful enough to let Dalmatian's Battleship reach the island to make port as directed by a newly minted Eternal Pose. This island, very unnoticed usually, was a haven for lawlessness and pirates, a popular port town known as Mock Town hosted upon it frequented by pirates, with multiple bounties beyond ten million present.
>It was currently surrounded by midsized ships, and Marines were roving the streets. It was pacified in preparation for the balloon launch, with more than a few hundred pirates taken into custody after a small skirmish that killed a dozen or more.
>The Battleship gangplank lowered to Mock Town. The fields near it were the launch base.
>From above, the UNSC might be amused by how it was shaped like the teeth of a skull.

(CPT BSP) Very good. The delivery system as it were are M90A shotguns utilizing rubber buckshot. Typically, they're used for less-than-lethal takedowns and riot control, but based on what you've told us, they'll work just fine for this mission.
>Assuming they could hit the bastard with their pellets...
>All the same the UNSC forces were committed to the operation, risky as it was. The captain couldn't help but chuff at how the mission might terminate at the outset.
(CPT BSP) Also noted. Hmm, hopefully we'll make it to Paradise just fine considering the trouble our sister ship encountered on the way to Marineford.
>Oh you know, suffering a Sea King attack, a lighting winter storm, and then nearly getting zapped to death by the very same guy they were going after now.
(CPT BSP) Thank you, we'll be underway shortly ourselves and will meet you soon enough accordingly.
>Or so the plan went hopefully, the light frigate maneuvering *carefully* towards Jaya. Doubtlessly they would *maybe* encounter some trouble but again hopefully it wasn't anything the Haste could ultimately handle.
>And from above, the spaceship did notice the peculiar layout of the Paradise island, more than one crew member amused by the sight. Or perhaps it was a foreboding sign of things to come...
>Nevertheless, they pressed on and came to a careful hover above the pacified town. As the Vice Admiral bellowed his orders, the UNSC actuated on their own: one D77H Pelican dropship made for Mock Town's center to meet directly, and impress, the Vice Admiral there with their flashy arrival. Along with whatever mercs he had recruited and on call at that point. They still seemingly had some time left before the op began.
>For now, it was the UNSC's turn to provide some capable assistance, the Pelican dropship coming to a hover above the town square, pilot calling out to those below via loudspeaker.
(B-330 PLT) This is Pelican Bravo-330, requesting permission to land!

Khorne does not care for your motives. Khorne does not care for your ambitions or loyalty. Khorne does not care WHERE THE BLOOD FLOWS FROM.
You have done well thus far. Slaughtering countless warriors in your path. Cleansing entire colonies and most importantly, stopping the total destruction by the Halos so that Blood may keep Flowing!
You, Soldier, have gifted countless Skulls to his Brass Citadel!
You are a mighty Warrior, one who Khorne favors. One who does not think, one who obeys and one who SPILLS BLOOD.
Soon, you will accept his gaze and gifts. Deep inside of you, you feel it stirring.. Strengthening you, elevating you, EMPOWERING YOU AND ALLOWING YOU TO MURDER!

Fool, you believe your loyalty towards some noble cause keeps The Blood God from receiving your Gifts? He is bathing is your glorious warfare against thousands upon thousands of kills. You shower him in Skulls to build his throne. Thus is the way of the Chaos Gods. To escape them, one would have to eradicate what feeds them. Blood, Rage, Murder, Death, Anger, PAIN. Yet there you are, stopping the destruction of all so that the cycle may continue endlessly while tearing flesh from bone. Bringing "PEACE" HAH.. to your systems. You know you cannot stop this endless cycle of Hatred and Bloodshed.
You are but a tool of his. A loyal one at that.
I am excited to see what your future holds. I have high hopes in you, lowly mortal. And should you fail, I'll bring him your Skull myself!
>>77642950
Oh friend.. that's not a question I can answer you. You know the heaviest roleplay I've ever done with you guys was during factions games and I was sorta forced to play along since I was a faction leader and I didn't wanna ruin the fun or everyone by going "hurr, am not a roleplayer, durr".. so I did the best I could as Mordred.

Even suicide would feed Khorne as he does not care where the blood flows from. If you pride yourself in your work, you feed slaanesh... if you wish to change the state of things, you feed Tzeentch.. it's.. kinda fucked up.

And what when total peace is achieved, human soldier?
Mortals are plagued by corruption and lust for power. Some day one of your feeble race will demand more and abuse others.
One day the ones abused by those of power will take up arms again.
What will you do then, John? Will you throw your arms away and watch as the bloodshed unfolds?
We both know..
..you will spill blood again and you will not regret..
..you will fight and reap, murder, SLAUGHTER.. for your puny believes in peace and justice.
..you will watch your comrades and brothers in arms die and feel your Blood Boil with RAGE.. you will bring destruction to those who brought Suffering and Pain to those you loved and respected in the name of "Peace"..
All while Khorne smiles.
..
And when that day comes. You may call upon me again.
Skarbrand, the Exiled One. THE WRATHFUL REAPER.. the Drinker of BLOOD..

>>77643156
Thanks Chief, glad you enjoyed our faction game.
I'm pretty sure the only 2 ways to defeat the chaos gods is.. either join the Horned Rat or .. become Archaon. The horned rat feeds of destruction and just seeks the annihilation absolutely everything. Archaon uses the chaos gifts to also destroy and kill everything so.. the end result is "all is dead, chaos gods got no more power feed, they die".. so if the Halos do as you said and annihilate everything.. they'd destroy the chaos gods.

My fight will be finished.
>And perhaps the Chief may do the impossible: retire to a life of relative peace once done.
>But both parties knew better than that. That there would *always* be a war. Another battle to endure. One more fight to finish...
>John frowned slightly under his hidden helmet when they called him by his name, the normally collected superhuman bristling ever so slightly but remaining collected even in the face of this godly tyranny.
It will still be on my terms and that of the UNSC. We're hardly a band of murderous savages.
>Even if the scale of their destruction would please the Blood God. Doubtlessly, the mere concept of a Nova bomb being able to obliterate and entire planet would be something to make them giddy with the sheer breadth of its destruction.
>The SPARTAN gave this Skarbrand a mere nod in turn.
So be it.
>He could watch all he wanted. And if there was a fight to be had between the two, then the Master Chief would be sure to finish it on his terms.

>>77643244
>Hell yeah, it was good stuff. I wouldn't mind doing more with you in another one if you're game for it. The one seej did was very promising already.
>I figured as much. The only other way I can think of or heard of to defeat the Chaos gods would be to get rid of emotion(s) or something along those lines and basically turn humanity into robots like the Necrons did to themselves.
>Funny how the Halo array could also do the job now. Not that the Chief would ever fire it willingly. Doubt most folks in the UNSC would do so either even if it might mean stopping Chaos.

Hehe, I'd have a very depressing answer to your response but I think it's best if we stop for today. That Nova bomb.. well.. there are things to be said about stopping that.
I hope I could entertain you for this short while! I don't do the greentexting, haven't even in the faction games.. but I still hope you can enjoy the way I write. Instead of green stuff I like using images or sound files to convey things.. or just.. simple text.
Dunno if our lil emotional corruption thing would go anywhere but maybe I'll play Skarbrand for you again if ya need me, heh. As long as there are skulls to reap and blood is flowing, Skarbrand is in!
But yeah.. uhh.. I'll just play a lil vidya, watch some anime and then seek bed. It's getting a lil late.

Speaking of faction games, I actually sent u a DM quite some time ago but u never replied.

Yeah.. Chaos gods are weird. the base of gods in Warhammer is that if enough of one emotion exists, it creates a god that strengthens that emotion. That's why even Greenskins and Skaven have gods. That's why Human and Elven gods exist.. and many share a source of feed. Like.. Khaine is the god of War but all who pray and fight for him feed Khorne.. and Khorne just has a broader reach. Khaine is mostly murder.. Khorne is blood, skulls, murder, rage.. so he is stronger. It's a fun concept to explore.

>And I would have a hopefully realistic yet positive reply for you in turn as befitting a gritty yet still hopeful space opera like Halo lol.
>And yeah, Nova bomb is a certified planet buster that would be right at home in 40K I think. UNSC has blown up a couple planets with it so far. And maybe more to come here in HGland depending on how things go.
>And yeah man, I like your style and can roll with it well enough. So there's an in that way with Skarbrand I think. Chief'll be a tough titanium nut to crack, that's for sure.
>And yeah, I'm going to head off myself too. Probably should've a couple hours ago as a matter of fact but I'm having too much fun here with you lol.
>And my bad on that DM, I'll get back to you on it.
>And that all makes sense about the gods from what little I know about Warhammer, 40K or other versions. Makes sense that Khorne would be the stronger of the two.

We've made it into space, but it looks like the HG Flotilla has jumped straight into a stellar shoot-out. Or maybe they just caused one? It's a bit hard to tell with everyone, y'know, dying.

No less than four ships go down, taking nearly a quarter of our space-faring freaks with them! Another half-dozen narrowly avoid death in glorious SPACE COMBAT which, as it happens, is significantly less glorious than a long and happy life.

Unfortunately it looks like there's no reprieve among the stars - the chaos of the battle in deep space has awoken horrors beyond space and time!

...weirdly horny horrors from beyond space and time. Apparently the Old Ones have a thing for DFC, whaddya gonna do? Several other ships and their crews are dragged away into the inky blackness, never to be seen again.

All in all, 15 ships were lost less than an hour after initial departure. Not a very promising start to this cosmic roadtrip, huh?

After the, er, eventful opening ceremonies, our spacers understandably feel the need to take a little R&R.

Unfortunately not everyone is here for fun and frolic. Amygdala lurks on the MOON plotting MOON SCHEMES, while Master Chief is forced to spend of shore leave confronting a more mundane sort of crime.

Ground pound another single mother and if that doesn't work, just ground pound your worst enemy's mom to become their new daddy.
If that still doesn't work then you gotta rethink if going through some many changes in a short amount of time was worth it, then start again but following your original ideas.

That can't be right. You already said you were the ruler of the Netherworld for one accomplishment. And you have a significant other as well. Those alone are two things to be surely proud of.
>The SPARTAN paused.
Name additional accomplishments. Better yet if you're proud of them.
>>
>>77649356
So far it looks like playing second fiddle has paid out badly for you, but since you lack initiative is hard to tell what could you possibly do in order to escape that vicious cycle that is not just staying idle and do nothing. Even when you think nothing ever happens something is happening in you blind spots.
>The Detective takes some notes, definitely it is not listing those names Lilith mentioned, definitely.
I believe the root of the problem is that you end up paired up with bad people or people in lots of trouble and you end up paying for their actions all the time, I wouldn't call that friendship nor partnership but being used as a scapegoat.

Creeping close to the great hound, ignoring the metal loop shining and dimming in intervals, vibrating the closer the sergeant got to Rover, until he stepped within 2.5 meters of Rover. The metal chain flew right out of his hand and into Rover's hind leg.]
*rooo....?*
>[Rover perked up, turning his head; he has you in his sights. Just as Rover was about to take a step, on Rover's hind left leg, right below the ankle joint, center of the metatarsus bone, the metal chain grew in size, perfectly wrapping around Rover's leg in a fabric-like motion.]
>[That caught Rover's attention. Stretching over, maw opened, Rover bit down on the chain. A loud *CLANG* (Guts 2016) echoed. The metal loop compressed when Rover's teeth applied pressure, yet when Rover pulled at the chain, it refused to stretch, even showing no signs of damage. A fabric in motion, yet seemingly metallic in appearance and indestructible, it seemed. One thing is for sure, Rover got some new bling to flaunt!]

>Welcome to Helghast logic.
There are no need for these pitiful desk jockeys. Your comrades are there to listen.
>Colonel Radec paces back and forth, he raises a clenched fist.
The boots you wear, the cap you don--the rifle you shoulder! That will make a man of you. And the battlefield will wash away every insecurity. Not these paltry sessions!
>You really shouldn't get this guy going he would make Goebbles blush-
The mind is a tool made stable through action, always! And you should always take action against that which threatens you most! MEN! TRAIN YOURSELVES UPON THAT WHICH BRINGS YOU PEACE, WHICH CREATES ALL INSECURITIES! THIS I SAY SHALL HELP YOU THROUGH ANYTHING!

>Too many men would've likely made too much damn noise. Besides, as a leader, it was on him to LEAD by example, the brave NCO advancing closely to the big dog. And once he got close enough, the shackle leaped from his gloved hands to snap itself onto their left back leg and grew large enough to fully encapsulate the limb!
>The sergeant exhaled, daring not to swear as he took a couple nervous steps back. He proceeded beat a hasty retreat, especially as they began to gnaw at the manacle with a CLANG, back to his team as quickly and quietly as he could back around the bend where he would be hopefully hidden from this plasma spewing beast!

>Possibly. History doesn't exactly repeat but boy does it rhyme sometimes. Time to add some UNSC lyrics to this little song then and attempt to stop this madman and his innocent-slaying rampage and whatever hilarious theoreticals that may be present!
>After some preamble and epic buildup, the D77H would FINALLY begin to approach the contested location and source of today's heightened violence. It would appear at first as a dark dot in the sky if the Hound's eyes were good enough to spot such a thing. Or if he had electronic sensors on his person advanced enough to detect an incoming and unidentified dropship rapidly making for their position.
>In any case, said dot eventually grew large enough to eventually reveal itself in better form, the sizeable spacecraft looking to set down a few hundred meters at the end of a street. Panicked NYC citizens rushed about as well, still no cops in sight either. Or the National Guard for that matter.

>Just when the sergeant thought he was in the clear, he heard growling. Growling that as it turned out was being directed at him and his men...
>The non-com snapped back to face the clearly pissed off hound, the massive mutt having put the two and two together with the bracelet and he and was looking to do something about it.
>The Marines tensed up in growing dread and terror, one of the boots shouting to their leader.
(MRN #2) Uh sir!? What do we do!?!?
>Instinct and training all but told the grizzled jarhead to give the order to open fire. But he knew better than that that standard combat doctrine wasn't gonna cut it here. And without the rest of the bracelet MacGuffins to potentially pacify this beast and air support not immediately on station, the sarge and his people were going to have to... improvise...
>Thinking on his feet and instead of doing something dumb like grab his rocket launcher, the sergeant held out his hands in a placating gesture at first.
(MRN SGT) Heeeeeey, easy boy. I got something for you...
>Slowly as he could, the sergeant knelt down and pulled out his rucksack. Digging quickly through it, the man would procure...
>Some beef jerky.
>Opening the bag, he pulled out a few strips of the dried meat and waved it in front of him to try and tempt and appease the beast, the man hoping to God above his frankly insane plan might work, the others at his back gobsmacked at what they were seeing.
