Maybe it's wearing glasses my whole life, or spending enough time online, but I never felt that attached to my body. Getting something I can customize now to my tastes feels right. And I don't really feel too fussed about giving up my biological one, beyond perhaps the inherent vulnerabilities of something like that. Gets a little funkier if scalies are around only really because I would rather hate to make them weirded out or some such that a human decided to get robotic black face, so to speak. But then, if that's a problem, my adoration for them is likely to also weird them a bit, so maybe it doesn't matter. Unless kobolds're real, I should be different enough from them anyways. I doubt my personal ideal form exactly matches whatever ayyscale we come across, after all.
