>>217368884Maybe read the post you replied to before you reply to it. Dave Filoni was Lucas' padawan. Hired during production of Revenge of the Sith to make the Clone Wars cartoon.
>>217366292>imagine being this easily trolled
>>217369121But his next cartoon about Maul seems to be carving out a space for versions of Lucas' 7,8,9 to take place in the gap between RotJ and TFA. Maul taking female twilek as an apprentice. That's who Lucas' sequel trilogy had as the main villain.
Allez Cuisine!I love Iron Chef so much bros. It's one of the comfiest shows of all time. What are your favorite moments?
Hey everyone.Japan rebooted Iron Chef in 2012. I've been trying to find the episodes for years. Anyone know where I can watch them? Why are they so difficult to find????
>>217358270>What are your favorite moments? When one of the Iron Chefs dropped the squid (possibly octopus)

>>217373408He was seen as lesser since he didn't have his own restaurant. Which is kind of a big deal when it comes to ratings and critic evaluation. It would be unfair to put him on the same tier. Seeing as how he is able to evade public criticism by not having a menu he is responsible for.
Do you think it bothers her that these types of roles are all she's known for?

>>217376972anon. no one is watching it. propaganda requires people see it to have any impact.

>>217377330Most of the cartoonishly evil stuff Aidid does in the movie didn’t happen (he did steal aid from convoys to sell for weapons, but not directly out of the hands of civilians trying to get food). The Somali soldiers were far more annoyed at the circumstances of the conflict than you would think, seeing it as Aidid having a personal grudge against the UN and not really a just cause, although obviously once boots were on the ground, they didn’t shy away from fighting and gloating a good bit. Some guys in Delta had to get their asses saved by the Pakis, which is mostly glossed over.A lot of the rangers weren’t even old enough to drink and would do stupid stunts in the blackhawks (like intentionally knocking over market stalls and ripping off women’s clothes) that didn’t exactly enamor them to the locals.A lot of the abuses from the American, Pakistani, and Malaysian forces are just completely omitted for the sake of the narrative.A lot of this does come up in the book, and obviously the film isn’t a documentary. But that’s just some stuff off the top of my head.
>>217377398I’m not trying to completely absolve anyone making war films from blame (god knows how many DoD dollars go into these things over the years), just saying that if ridiculous war films have to exist, I’d rather people didn’t think they were literally real.Something recently like this that irked me was that Sound of Freedom movie stringing together a bunch of in real life unrelated groups that the guys behind the movie had an axe to grind against by accusing them of all being involved in a pedo ring. I’m pretty sure the island raid was the only part that really happened (but most of the people were labor trafficked and not sex trafficked), and there’s that entire end sequence where he has to pretend to be an aid worker to infiltrate a FARC base because the leader has trafficked a little girl, despite the fact that FARC had never engaged in child sex trafficking when it was active. You can literally find a laundry list of a million weird and fucked up things FARC did, but they weren’t in the business of shuffling around child sex slaves like the movie would have you believe. The closest thing to that was the fact that in villages where they operated, girls ages 13-18 would usually “date” members in order to curry favor and keep their families safe.
>>217377534Idk about sound of freedom but all movies work that way. The suspension of disbelief helps to print the images and the sounds in the viewers mind, and if there's nothing to correct them, like the actual knowledge or experience of the events shown in the movie, they will get considered as the reality. For exemple Save Private Ryan or, even worse, Enemy at the Gate, shaped the perception of WW2 for millions of people worldwide despite glaring inaccuracies. But that's the same thing for any movie that depicts "a true story". That's why movies and tv shows are considered critical material for anyone who wants to shape the mind of the people, and why they're willing to spend our even waste so much money on them.
>>217377777I think we completely agree on this but I’m just being a nitpicker and you’re taking a broader view. Also, nice digits.

How did Chase write a Gen Z character so perfectly, even before the fact? >The blank stare, cry for help and attention, slight mental illness, vapidity, lack of drive
>>217372896These people always existed, they just weren't validated.
>>217375665Is it really a "deconstruction" when this is just what criminals are like?It was a truthful portrayal of something that had been highly romanticized in movies like the Godfather.
>>217372896Your view of the generation that succeeds yours being lazy and entitled is an outlook shared by all idiots like you past present and future included. The fact that you think this character represents zoomers when gen z did not exist yet and AJ is very clearly a milennial, and this breakthrough and great writing of a timeless character staring you directly in the face and you can't come to realise your ignorance without making a thread on here, proves without doubt how fucking stupid you and everyone who share this sentiment are
>>217373648Nta but you're a little thick. BIG zoomer vibes.
>>217377651David Chase grew up in a working-class Italian-American family. He had no firsthand experience with the criminal world. In fact, he was a whiny, neurotic bitch who suffered from muh depression and panic attacks before going to college and living a relatively privileged life. The Sopranos isn’t even supposed to be a mob story. It’s a story about his mother and his personal life dressed up in a mob way. What gives him the right to say what criminals are actually like to you?
It's so boring...Why did you lie again /tv/?

JUSTICE FOR MY NIGGA ARTHUR
Rian Johnson killed Star Wars.
>>217377737If you are over the age of 13 and still care about starslop you have developmental delay

28 days later>Bone Temple>28Years>28 weeks
>>21737585928 Weeks is kino and I will not hear otherwise.
>>217377758Some of the scenes are amazing but several of the plot and “lore” details are fucking stupid. I do find it funny that all of its legacy (implied full infection of mainland Europe) was just brushed away by 28 years.
>>217377758Weeks is putrid dogshit and the only people who like it are NPCs who want nothing from these films except for the zombie to go ooga booga
>>217377758Weeks is good up until the bit where the guy somehow just magically ignores the most important quarantine on earth and kisses his infected wife, which immediately turns the movie into 0/10 fucking dogshit garbage.
70+ detailed pages have already been put together to build a new era of Star Wars.
>>217377567What I'm thinking of is even more radical. I think it should be a series of totally, 100% unrelated science fantasy epics in space, and then you just call them all star wars.No jedi, no force, no stormtroopers, no republic, nothing. You have to fully worldbuild a new setting each trilogy. The star wars setting was purpose-built to tell the OT and the PT. It's a prop that did its job, and now it has ran its course, so make a new prop.
>KinbergThey're taking the piss now
>>217377716No, Mandalorain is very much rooted in recognizable SW stuff. There's Stormtroopers, Tatooine, Jawas, and so on.They should come up with a completely new thing, and it's only Star Wars, because it's an epic fantasy movie in space. MAYBE with lightsabers, but what does it matter, really? You could have a plasma mace instead, and it would still work.
>>217377773The closest we have come to this would be I guess the Naboo segments of TPM, or Canto Bight which I actually like quite a bit, at least as a setting (it's a shame it's attached to a shit movie). You start with something like that, and then you let it expand, without feeling the need to wedge Chewbacca or Yoda in there, and see what happens.
>>217371161>70+ detailed pagesman, how many pages you need for diversity characters = good; white men = evil...
theyre still 10/10 /tv/bros
