It baffled them kek. fun fact, playing "i am the walrus" at the glasgow cathouse most likely got oasis noticed for the first time. there's a recording of it and a higher up record label guy was randonly present. so even decades on, this joke song most likely launched oasis on us

I actually kind of liked 28 Years Later but that's because I went into it expecting it to be way worse than it was.
Even the Jimmy Saville scene at the end kind of made me laugh because it was basically just Danny Boyle saying: "This is what you wanted, right? You wanted zombie killing, right? Well I'm going to give you the most retarded zombie killing I can come up with."
I can't help but admire that level of contempt for the audience, really.

Why does the CG from Transformers look better than CG from movies coming out today?
21 replies and 5 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>217459310
The transformer are CGI, but everything else is real. If this were made today, everything would be CGI, but they would be spending the same amount of money, so the talent would be spread thin and look worse.
Also, the contrast is much higher than in most modern films. The shadows being very dark and the highlights being very bright helps hide the fact that it is CGI. The very low contrast HDR look of most modern films also has the effect of making even real things look like shitty CGI, which is the biggest problem.

>>217460303
>>217459310
GCI in 2000s movies was still an expensive and time-consuming endeavor, so filmmakers had to be resourceful about where and how to integrate them into the film, so they had to storyboard it first and build the lightning and camerawork to hide bad spots

half of the OP webm is empty blue sky and the crotch of a robot constructed from spinning pieces of metal arranged in an incomprehensible fashion.

avatar is utterly devoted to everything being completely comprehensible and visible at all times. one of the best scenes in james cameron's career is arnold walking up to the windshield of the semi and just unloading into the t-1000. Its nothing but clean movements and then rapid gunfire. Basically every scene in avatar is exactly that.

Hard to commit murders when you're permanently crippled beyond belief.
>>
>>217458487
It's only correct if you only kill one killer.

If you kill two killers, there's now a net loss of 1 killer in the world. And so on for every killer you kill after that. What batman is actually saying is that you need to keep killing killers, you can't stop at just 1. Very inspiring stuff.

It's existentialism. Tony evades his own free will by blaming his actions on nature.
>>
>>217459267
Existentialism again. Action precedes knowledge, and both Tony and Vic decide and act on limited information. Any interpretation about their motives is irrelevant, since the decision has already been made and act is already consumed. They can only choose to act differently next time or to keep repeating the pattern.

The guy that was one of Ross' students that told him that he was in love with him in Friends was a tenant in my building like ten years ago. I was in the elevator with him once and forgot to press the button to my floor and he asked me which floor I was going to. Sarah Clarke lived in that same building twenty years ago but I never met her, only my brother did.

Aside from that; I saw David Spade once.
