>>217377678Is this show cuckold?
I like 90s and 2000s sci fi. Farscape is a great show. Never watched Firefly because it just looks unfathomably reddit.
Does this look good or like crap? I need to know what /tv/ thinks so I can copy the opinion as my own
To be honest Tomb Raider is a pretty boring game. It's just jumping around, shooting critters, swimming, falling, rinse and repeat. Also the girl does look like original Lara, all blocky and stuff.
>>217377684>Thin is a shapeso is fat by your logicbut no one says fat people are in shaperetard
>>217377725What's a good game?
Looks more like Alucard from Hellsing than Lara Croft
>>217377725i know some /vr/ types will disagree, but you're right.it was still pretty fuckin MAGIC at the time, though. i just like dungeon crawlers, everyone loves open world games (or did). exploring these big 3D levels... it was up there with Mario 64. even though Tomb Raider WAS mostly falling, then tediously climbing back up to try again.who the hell at Sony decided their shiny new 3D games console didn't need a joystick...?
And it is still cringefestyoutu.be/Gcz-h4jHMbc

>>217377743that label is her only cultural cache though. She's completely unremarkable in every other way, there have been and continue to be actresses with better faces and better tits but aren't touted to the same degree as this bitch in the current zeitgeist.
>>217377689>Her face is so fucking below averageI think it's part of the appeal, it's like the opposite of a bitch face, very approachable and non-threatening with a kind of rural girl femininity, like a cute dumb dog and unlike a sculpted anorexiamaxxed+bogged botox doll.

>>21737585928 Weeks is kino and I will not hear otherwise.
>>217377758Some of the scenes are amazing but several of the plot and “lore” details are fucking stupid. I do find it funny that all of its legacy (implied full infection of mainland Europe) was just brushed away by 28 years.
so why do they keep doubling/tripling/quadrupling/quintupling down on nu trek dogshit and all the worst aspects of it? like what is the plan here? they've thoroughly destroyed this ip
>>217377740i have the tng blurays right here, they actually did a fantastic job with those, i fear they wouldn't put the same amount of care into the rest and we'd end up with a buffy situation
>Gina YashereWent for pics and the actress isn't even that fat in photos. The character actually looks fatter than the actress. What gives?
>>217376816You don’t make something for a tax write off. Donating 1000 dollars so you can write that off your taxes and save 300 still puts you out 700 dollars. Tax write offs just give you some money back, but you’d have more money not spending it in the first place. The reason they make pozzed shit like this is because Hollywood is full of leftist activists pushing their beliefs and ideology into everything. It’s just propaganda. You can’t make anything in Hollywood without going through layers and layers of kikes and leftists making sure you tick off all their boxes and meet all their requirements so that your program is sufficiently pozzed.
>>217377797as long as scanned the film and released that in hd i would be happy. i would happily settle for a babylon 5 scenario.the special effects would be recreated by the fans eventually and you would get a proper release that way

>>217377190Well fuck case closed >>217377255>Look at this movie about what happened in Mogadishu >(This is actually not what happened in Mogadishu)Movies are quasi experiences and if you make a movie about the medieval era that shows people covered in mud, the people who watch it will believe that the people were actually covered in mud. That's the core principle behind propaganda, people generally believe what they get told as long as it comes from a credible source. And sadly most people learn history through movies or TV shows.
>>217377330Most of the cartoonishly evil stuff Aidid does in the movie didn’t happen (he did steal aid from convoys to sell for weapons, but not directly out of the hands of civilians trying to get food). The Somali soldiers were far more annoyed at the circumstances of the conflict than you would think, seeing it as Aidid having a personal grudge against the UN and not really a just cause, although obviously once boots were on the ground, they didn’t shy away from fighting and gloating a good bit. Some guys in Delta had to get their asses saved by the Pakis, which is mostly glossed over.A lot of the rangers weren’t even old enough to drink and would do stupid stunts in the blackhawks (like intentionally knocking over market stalls and ripping off women’s clothes) that didn’t exactly enamor them to the locals.A lot of the abuses from the American, Pakistani, and Malaysian forces are just completely omitted for the sake of the narrative.A lot of this does come up in the book, and obviously the film isn’t a documentary. But that’s just some stuff off the top of my head.
>>217377398I’m not trying to completely absolve anyone making war films from blame (god knows how many DoD dollars go into these things over the years), just saying that if ridiculous war films have to exist, I’d rather people didn’t think they were literally real.Something recently like this that irked me was that Sound of Freedom movie stringing together a bunch of in real life unrelated groups that the guys behind the movie had an axe to grind against by accusing them of all being involved in a pedo ring. I’m pretty sure the island raid was the only part that really happened (but most of the people were labor trafficked and not sex trafficked), and there’s that entire end sequence where he has to pretend to be an aid worker to infiltrate a FARC base because the leader has trafficked a little girl, despite the fact that FARC had never engaged in child sex trafficking when it was active. You can literally find a laundry list of a million weird and fucked up things FARC did, but they weren’t in the business of shuffling around child sex slaves like the movie would have you believe. The closest thing to that was the fact that in villages where they operated, girls ages 13-18 would usually “date” members in order to curry favor and keep their families safe.
>>217377534Idk about sound of freedom but all movies work that way. The suspension of disbelief helps to print the images and the sounds in the viewers mind, and if there's nothing to correct them, like the actual knowledge or experience of the events shown in the movie, they will get considered as the reality. For exemple Save Private Ryan or, even worse, Enemy at the Gate, shaped the perception of WW2 for millions of people worldwide despite glaring inaccuracies. But that's the same thing for any movie that depicts "a true story". That's why movies and tv shows are considered critical material for anyone who wants to shape the mind of the people, and why they're willing to spend our even waste so much money on them.
>>217377777I think we completely agree on this but I’m just being a nitpicker and you’re taking a broader view. Also, nice digits.
