HOW'D YOU GET SO FUNKY?
>>198572137QRD?
>>198572137Be honest /tv/… does he have bigger arms than you?
genuinely found this to be hilarious and im a borderline zoomer who discovered this 2 years ago, his ecstatic recoil as he delivers his lines is extraordinary
>>198572156He did the monkey
>>198572137Did Martin lift?
>>198572137He's 33 here.
>>198572156>>1985721371. SNL billed itself as a variety show first, sketch comedy as just another variety act at first. Everyone forgets this. This is why they had musical performances. 2. It's satire as he's making a crass stupid song cashing in on a fad after introducing the act as something solemn that will be respectful to King Tut. 3. The stupid joke became a cultural fad accidentally.
>>198572306This is what amazes me. I'm someone who was born in 1991, and admittedly also not from the US so I wasn't implicitly exposed to Steve Martin in some random movies on TV in the background when growing up. What I'm saying is, by the time I learned about him, he was already an aging guy, maybe "middle aged" but looked like he could be a recent grandfather, you know. I've seen him in contemporary movies every now and then, and he's always been in this "guy close to his retirement" age/look. But even if you go WAY back, like into the fucking 70s, he already looked middle aged even back then. Less gray in his hair sure, but seems like he "always" looked 50-ish.Another example of this is Will Ferrell.
>>198572508Think it's a facial structure thing, he's not particularly wrinkled or weathered, there is just something about his skull structure that shouts 'mature'.He's roughly 18 in this pic. Insane.
>>1985725081. He went grey comparitively young and never dyed his hair. Nowadays everyone dyes their hair until they want to look old. 2. People genuinely did age older back then. A 33 year old looked gruff and mature. More test, more sun, more exposure to smoke.
>>198572267bags of cocaine
>>198572574Christ I’m in my 30’s and he looks like he could be my dad
>>198572508some people just have some strange geneticspic related on the left is a bong actor I'm fond of, at the ancient age of... 31
>>198572660>that>31Not a fucking chance.
>>198572173Yes
>>198572574>Think it's a facial structure thing,It's called Testosterone. The levels have been dropping in recent years and strong masculine features like strong jawlines are tied to test levels. Every time a babyfaced Nu-Male feminist ally has their test levels checked, it's always low. They act like fucking women because they have low test, and seek consensus rather than striking their own opinions.
>>198572660Mad to think he was only 45 when Morse started.
>>198572700my mistake, he's 33 or 34 there>>198572723and the character was supposed to be late 50s...funny stuff
>>198572660Oof, unfortunate case of ugly balding on the guy on the right. He'd look better without these cringy bangs (and with shorter hair in general).
>>198572700>The Sweeney: 1975-1978>John Thaw (left) - born in 1942>Dennis Waterman (right) - born in 1948
>>198572843His hair was obviously thinning in his 20s, but he never went fully bald.
The female example is Laura Dern. She is TWENTY YEARS younger than Sam Neill, but they look roughly the same age in Jurassic Park. And also in any other moment much later when they bump into each other.
>>198573053Oops. Wrong pic attached by accident. I meant this one.
>>198572156Boomers were and still are brain dead.
>>198573088What are those lines called above the ends of the top lip? I think that makes a lot of people looke older.
>>198572574Looks like Drake.
>>198572137>Steve Martin has a better physique than 99% of /tv/
>>198572848Man what the fuck, what kind of a lifestyle does it take?
>>198573123nasolabial folds

>>198572173not only that but he looks better than me and I'm the same age as when he did this. It's so over for me bros.
>>198573088>this will be a great promo pic
>>198572137It's been months since I've since any tutposting, what happened to it?
>>198572137awesome thread
>>198572715Yeah but Steve Martin looks old
>>198576062war in Israel.
>>198575307I like it. It feels fairly genuine. Obviously "arranged", yes, but it's like "let's have a photo of you guys next to some themed prop". It's "a" photo, as opposed to taking 20 shots of each actor while they strike a specific pose, picking the best one, photoshopping them together etc.

>>198572715Why did you post the edited version? The original had normal levels at 900.
>>198572137The craziest thing is how skinny the average American was when this came out.
Aside from Planes, Trains & Automobiles; what are some genuine Steve Martin kinos?
>>198578633The Jerk
>>198572400Specifically, there was a big touring museum exhibit on King Tut going across the US at the time that was a huge enough money printer with merchandising that museum giftshops got way more commercial.
