what happened to 3d movies
>>
>>198605339
Only a select few auteurs thought to pair the technology with Smell-O-Vision™
>>

>what happened to movies

fix'd
>>
>>198605339
Everyone gave up making them except James Cameron.
>>
most of the 3d movies i see these days are from porn sites
but i have no idea who the fuck wants to jerk off while wearing a headset
>>
>>198605339
What do you mean? Movies still come out in 3D. I think the new Godzilla movie had 3D theaters.
>>
>>198605339
>3D
>it's just 2d over 2d
dissapointing
>>
Only high IQ people are able to see the effect for the entire duration of the movie. Often you'll hear people say things like "what the fuck it's so dumb you don't even notice that it's 3D after a few minutes". This is because their brains aren't powerful enough to be cognizant of the stereo separation for more than a few minutes. The effect just gets automatically filtered out due to mental fatigue.

>high IQ people
is this just another word for autistic morons???

>t. can't consciously see in 3D for more than a few minutes at a time

What number?

Do film makers have to decide which scenes will be 3d? I watched a couple when it was trendy. Saw objects flying out in different scenes of amazing spiderman and the knife rope thingy coming out of the screen from ninja assassin. I wear glasses so kinda indifferent really if the gimmick goes away.
>>
>>198605339
>too much hassle, need to be shot in 3d and theaters need to order 3d projectors, and need to order glasses
>the technology isn't there, it just looks like flat objects on different planes rather than actual 3d
>you have to wear glasses the whole time or the screen looks fucked.
>>
Because it's a gimmick for a couple seconds of an action movie that only the exact center of the theater gets the full benefits of
>>
Are you guys being deliberately stupid or something
There were 15 major nationwide releases in 3D last year.
Elemental looked fucking amazing in 3D. The movie sucked, but that 3D, hoooo jackie
>>
>>198607242
Oh, commercials stopped advertising movies being "IN THREEEE DEEEEEE!!" so I just assumed it stopped being a thing.
>>
>>198607266
Here's last year's list:
Ant-Man Quantumania
Scream 6
Super Mario
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Fast X
Little Mermaid
Transformers 9 or whatever
Elemental
TMNT Jewish Mayhem
Meg 2
The Marvels
Trolls 3
Wish
Migration
Aquaman 2

lot fewer this year but they're still coming:
Fighter
Kung Fu Panda 4
GxK
Garfield
Inside Out 2
Despicable Me 4
Deadpool 3
Wild Robot
Transformers 10 or whatever

I watched Avatar 2 in 3D and I could barely feel the dimensions.
>>
>>198607433
That's because that movie is too one-dimensional, duh
>>
>>198607433
That sounds like a medical issue. I fucking HATE Avatar but it's the highest quality 3D there is by a crazy margin
>>
>>198607395
My eyes skimmed through that list and I read "Garfield Inside Me".
>>
>>198605339
Everyone that enjoyed stereoscopic 3D has moved on to 8K VR porn.
>>
the lenses dont work for everyone
>>
The last movie I remember the 3D being really good in and actually helping the movie was Gravity
