Is there a name for this sort of visual technique in Karel Zeman's The Fabulous Baron Munchausen and Invention of Destruction? I see it occasionally pop up in modern films like Life Aquatic or Poor Things. Not exactly animation but sort of imitating extremely elaborate practical theater props being moved by stage hands.
>>200296005The Melies Magic
It's done
What's up with Eric Rohmer and why does it seem like this guy is obsessed with teen girls?I don't blame him though, but still.
>>200296005Zeman is kino.>>200293640Are there subs out for this?
>>200297538Seems more like he’s just not afraid of teen girls. Great film btw
>>200297626I'm just curious on what do critics thing about this obsession of his because it's quite obvious once you watched few of his films. The man obviously think about these teen girls a lot. hmm,,,, again, can't really blame him... a bit too young for my taste though.
>>200297773What's interesting is that he was like 65 when he made this film. Just like Bresson who was 65 when he made Balthazar and Mouchette and almost 70 when made A Gentle Woman with a nude scene of an 18 year old girl.
>>200297538>let me make this about femoids againnu-film everybody
>>200297538Rohmer and his fans are paedos

>>200298472>nope, you're wrong!agree to disagree then
>>200298472Change “sometimes” to “fucking rarely if ever, I can count on one hand the times it’s happened”And this is only with older film analysis texts, this literally never happens with modern film “criticism”

Recommend me something good and spiritually potent like Vedreba (1967) and The Fifth Seal (1976). No French films about infidelity or perversion. Seen enough of those for ten lifetimes.
